honestly have been feeling really nervous for this exam since my classmates have either failed it or just barely passed. and i had less time to study this time around because i rushed to book the exam.

so i drew this little encouragement early cuz i need the reminder that no matter what happens tomorrow, i did what i could and i didn't compromise on my boundaries—and that is its own victory.

and i hope that you'll be reminded to celebrate your own big and small victories too!

good morning homos I swear I'm almost done with my 20k+ genderstat wip but here's a lil excerpt for now (& will be posted as my first work on ao3 as @ reverentpeppermint !) ->

Louis forces his eyes open. He has enough decorum to feel embarrassed, but only for a moment, because then Lestat is – he’s right there. He is standing above Louis on the stage, and the crowd is screaming, and Lestat is so, so beautiful. His long, lean legs are wrapped in black fishnets, and his muscles ripple beneath them as he saunters across the stage. Louis has never seen him so dolled up – tight leather skirt clinging to the tops of his thighs, his makeup subtle and pretty rather than overstated and theatrical. On top he wears a sheer black blouse with only the collar buttoned, the rest of it flowing out around him like a sparkling shadow. Cherry red nail polish. Ankle high platform leather boots. Louis sees her so clearly now – not quite a man, not quite a woman – and it isn’t just because of her fishnets, or her makeup, or her long hair. He sees it in her poise, the way she moves, her whole body inspirited with elusive femininity.  Lestat has always been an actor. Louis never knew Lestat as Lelio, or as the Harlequin Armand described in all his bitterness. Louis was most familiar with Lestat the Victorian Dandy. She was perfect for the role. Her dapper costumes were considered highly fashionable and more or less masculine at the time. Louis loved the way those high waisted wool trousers hugged her midriff, how they synched her in just right, and the tall heel of her lace up boots. He wonders what she wore during their decades apart– what characters she embodied. Maybe she gave up on acting altogether, needed time to recover after the horrors of the trial, and fled back to New Orleans. There, Lestat huddled in her shack and waited for inspiration – waited for Louis.

It's rainy as hell here in the PNW and I hope the weather inspires me to finish this monster of a wip. Shoutout to @faggotarmand and @magnificenttragedysandwich for holding my hand thru this the past few days!!!!!
