Drabble/Short Oneshot Requests

So, have been holding back on doing this because I still do have a oneshot req I need to complete, and so many WIPs it's outlandish. That being said, right now, since I'm reconditioning myself to write, it's very difficult for me to tackle those projects and get even a sentence in them at a time. So I'm sort of asking for your help in this in my theory that drabbles are a good medium and that they might help me get used to properly writing.

I'm currently comfortable writing MxF, FxF, and of course platonic relations. I tend to write angst or dark fics so nothing is off limits with me, but if you want to send in something fluffy I can try my best! Anything smutty will likely not be too "in-depth" given the length of drabbles.

Comics this week:

DC

Superman #12: the end of the Pharm and Graft arc, which, although they weren't the most exiting villains, was pretty fun to read. I liked the role reversal between Clark and Lex with Lex being out in the field and Clark being the guy in the chair. Comic writers should remember that Clark is supposed to be super smart more often.

Amazons Attack #6: villain motivations fell flat at the end but I enjoyed the Nubia character work. I only wish Cassie and Yara (who now calls herself wonder girl... ugh) got the same amount of spotlight. Although I guess that at least they are also showing up in the main WW book. Anyway dc needs to have an AC run for WW characters, like Sensational Comics.

Alan Scott: Green Lantern #5: old man yaoi ❤️ also I knew legitimately nothing on Alan lore before this but I'm having a good time

Wonder Woman #7: Going by everything of King's I've read he truly knows how to write a good Superman. Not so much WW, but I actually enjoyed this issue the most out of everything else in this run so far. I love the wholesome friendship of Clark and Diana (I don't mind the idea of them having dated briefly in the past but imo superwonder work far better as friends, and the same thing goes for wonderbat and superbat). The lack of narration boxes was also a very welcome change.

Marvel

Ultimate Spiderman 2024 #1-3: I have never been a spiderman fan aside from watching the occasional movie or cartoon, but I really enjoyed this. It's a good start for new comic readers, since it offers a new spin to the story (Pater is older and married, Ben is alive, etc) while requiring no previous comic knowledge. I loved Peter and little May's relationship, and I'm very curious to see how the relationship between Peter and Harry is going to unfold.

Ultimate X-Men #1: This is literally just "marvel does jjba part 4" (although the first thing I thought of when I saw the armor was the suzanno). I'm not an x-men reader, which is just as fine because this isn't an x-men book, but rather a manga. I can see myself picking up issue two.

Indie

Helen of Wyndhorn #1: This is from the same team as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (Tom King, Mat Lopes, Bilquis Evely), aka my favourite comic of all time, and it truly feels like a successor to that. I wish I could eat Evely's art. The only thing that makes me mad is that TK isn't putting the same enegry in his current WW run

This question is, is it ever justified to torture an individual to save the lives of many? And if the answer is yes, how far can you go? This issue is indeed a very sensitive subject and I think it takes guts for any filmmaker to put it out there in the open like Gregor Jordan did. Add to that the clever fact that he doesn’t actually make a choice, but rather lets the audience decide on whatever they want to think and feel, and you have a pretty gutsy and controversial concept. In a nutshell, this film is about a man of American descent who has become a Muslim and has now, as an act of terrorism, planted 3 nuclear bombs in 3 major American cities which will go off in four days. Screenwriter Peter Woodward made some very tactical decisions considering the characters in the story. They are all somewhat stereotypical, but this is no bother because they’re all there for a reason. Carrie-Anne Moss, as an FBI investigator, represents the conscience, the sensitivity and the struggle to make the right decision. Samuel L. Jackson is her polar opposite; the brutal, rational, stone cold “interrogator” who does what he does because he’s the only one who can and willing to do it. The means he is willing to go to in order to get his subject to talk ...

I usually don't rant on here when it comes to celebs, but I have to put my thoughts into something. Yara Shahidi isn't bothering you guys, so I don't understand why she is getting bullied left and right. I see how people are putting the Bailey sisters (Chloe x Halle), Zendaya, or even Marsai Martin (the actress who played Diane on Black-ish) against Yara. She has done many things before the age of 23. She will be playing Tinkerbell in the new Peter Pan movie. She is already directing, producing, and writing. She already has her own production, she is one of the faces of Dior, she has deals from the computer company Dell, and Adidas, she is one of the faces of Cartier. She was one of the faces of Prada and Chanel. She worked with Tommy Hilfiger. She was in movies with avtors auch as Eddie Murphy and Angelina Jolie. She has been in numerous magazine covers. She is already a style icon due to her unique hairstyles and quirky fashion. She has her own tv shows, Grownish (The Black-ish spin off and her talk show Yara's Day Off). So it is weird to say Marsai Martin is already better than her at everything. I guess Shahidi gets hate because maybe she benefits off from nepotism. She is Prince's goddaughter (Yes, Prince the purple one) and she is rapper Nas' cousin. Yara never pressured herself to turn to a sex symbol by the time she turned 18, unlike some of her peers. She was being herself, and she still is. She doesn't come off as a try hard.

Okay so hello Marvel fandom! I’ve been away from you for a very long time but with the what if series on the rise I am going to get back into you!! I will be creating a series of oneshots (my own little what if scenarios) surrounding the concept of if there was a reader with the power to control electricity and teleport around in the marvel universe. This reader character will be shipped with any and all other marvel characters!! Cause variety!! This is the first of many! Electric powered! Reader x Nebula (original marvel timeline version)!

"Okay little guy copy me" Y/N told baby groot as they sat on the floor of Groots room. The young sapling was nestled comfortably in the warm eyed girls lap looking up at her as if she was an angel.

Y/N lifted her left hand and sparks flew gently from her fingertips towards the ceiling. Groot stared at her in awe his mouth dropped and his brown eyes wide as he watched the blue sparks fly softly from her fingers.

Baby Groot opened his own tiny hand and a few golden sparks started to leave his hand mixing with Y/N’s blinding blue sparks.

"Y/N don't help him!If you coddle him he'll never grow!" Peter snapped at her. Groot glared at Peter and his arm extended the young tree gave Quill a mighty bitch slap despite his measly size.

Peter staggered backwards holding his jaw his eyes widened. "C-carry on" He stuttered seeing stars crashing into walls as he walked away. "Hahaha Groot got you good!" Rocket laughed the raccoons voice echoing down the ships halls.

"Now Groot. We use our words" Y/N scolded him scratching lightly under his chin.

"I am Groot" Baby Groot argued.

"I know, but Peter does have a point. You have to learn how to do this on your own. So I'm going to go check on Gamora's sister and you can practice on your own for a little bit" Y/N told him kissing his forehead.

"I am Groot?"

"Because I want to. No one's checked on her in a while and Someone has to make sure she's okay" Y/N replied. “Gamora might not care but I do.”

"I am Groot" The sappling teased.

"Oh just practice you little seedling. This room better be filled with gold sparks when I get back" Y/N told him placing him on a soft fuzzy pillow.

"I am Groot!"

"That's the spirit" Y/N smiled walking off to where Nebula was being held.

"It's not Ripe yet you know. It'll be sour" Y/N said as she saw Nebula reaching for the fruit. Nebula growled her head snapping towards Y/N.

"Oh what would a human like you know?" Nebula spat back.

"I know that when those are Ripe they're nice and sweet like strawberry's" Y/N replied leaning against the wall.

"What's a strawberry? A primitive type of nourishment?"

"It's better then Yara root. Juicier too" Y/N told the other robotically enhanced woman.

"Are you trying to build up your energy? Is that why you want the fruit? Because the current running through your body is really low" Y/N frowned. With her control over electricity, she could sense the hum in the other woman’s body.

"Leave me be. I don't need to be reminded. Did my sister put you up to this?"

"No, she doesn't even know I'm here with you. I just got worried about you" Y/N admitted.

"Why would you ever be worried about me?" Nebula frowned.

"I could feel you, I can feel you with my powers ever since you got on this ship and you feel low on energy" Y/N replied.

"Let me help you" Y/N insisted taking nebula's robotic hand.

"Let go of me! I don't need help from the likes of you!" Nebula spat.

"Just trust me" Y/N pleaded, her lightning traveling into Nebula's body charging her like a battery. Nebula's limbs glowed as random blue lines and circles appearing to be circuits formed as Y/N did her thing.

"What are you doing?" Nebula asked stunned as she felt her power being restored.

"Charging you. There now you should be okay for a little while. Bye Nebula" Y/N said spinning on her heel walking back to check on Groot. The little tree was curled up on his bed gold sparks floating softly around the room. Y/N yawned and laid down next to the sapling going to sleep as well.

Back in the cargo bay Nebula sighed feeling much better. "Thank you...Y/N."
