Yaqeen Ramadan Reflections: Day 5
The Other Side
How do you become someone who is honored enough to see the Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him in your dreams?
Time to be honest, I struggle with understanding the reasoning behind loving the Prophet as much as he should be loved. Don't get me wrong, I do love him, it's just that the order comes to love Allah and His prophet. Love for Allah comes much easier. You can think of all the blessings you have, how He has taken care of you before, how He's always there and you can make duaa and even just complain about your troubles to Him freely. Then for the prophet, it's often mentioned that this is regarding how this religion spread because of him and his sacrifice and how hard he worked for it. It just takes more focus from my side in order to feel this in my heart and remember it.
I think I should study more seerah to be able to feel closer to him peace be upon him.
Quran 30 for 30
Going back to yesterday's reflection about forgiveness regarding the archers that left the mountain of Uhud, if I truly visualize the day, fully, I cannot imagine forgiveness being in their future, not from the Prophet and not from Allah. But Allah did forgive them and forgave the ones who failed to join the prophet during another Ghazwa. So one should ask for forgiveness with faith that Allah will forgive. I suppose what I feel more is shame. Even if I was to assume I was forgiven for some specific sins, and I cannot make that assumption, I would still feel shame for having done it. That I will meet Allah and I did what I did. It sometimes makes me feel like I cannot raise my face up during duaa. but Afw is like the sin never happened, so may Allah grant us Afw.
Not another blessing, not a physical feature, not a personality trait, not love, not a job, not money, Not a single thing that you should wish was yours when it belongs to someone else. Subhan Allah it really takes effort to recall your own blessings, but so easy to recall the blessings of others. Then it becomes easy to recall your hardships, but not the hardships of others, and some of those hardships can even be invisible to you. إن الإنسان لظلوم كفار
Every step of the way, you are being watched over and taken care of. Every hardship is earsing sins or granting good deeds. Every time someone was unfair, or unjust, Allah knew. And Allah does not let something happen without His Hikmah. You are not alone here.

Allah is The Kindness
After watching this video I'm more assured and understand why only Allah has all of these kindness and loves than human beings. Cause Allah is Ar-Rahman & Ar-Raheem 🤍
youtube
Alhamdulillah, I think one of the reasons I love learning English from time to time (until now) is that I have a lot of chances to listen, understand & catch the hidayah that Allah has spread around the world. I know that is a lot of lectures from Indonesian Ustadz/ah but sometimes I find it more relatable when it says in other languages.
And I wanna encourage people to learn other languages other than their mother tongue. Cause if you find it hard to get closer to Allah or understand Islam in your mother language, isn't mean Islam is hard to be learned, it means that maybe you have to find another way to learn that. Find what your learning method is, whose the presenters of the lecture you like to hear, and what languages you like. The point is just to find the best way to get you closer to Allah by learning Islamic values. Cause Allah wants you to be closer to Him, and wants you to be His Servant and enter Jannah one day. Like Allah said in surah Al-Fajr verse 27-30.
(To the righteous it will be said: ) "O peaceful and fully satisfied soul, return to your Lord. You are well-pleased (with your good end) and well-pleasing (in the sight of your Lord). Join My (righteous) servants and enter My Paradise."
Barakallah fiik for those who keep spreading Allah's love and Islamic values through Yt. So it become more accessible to everyone around the world. May Allah grant you all kindness and great rewards in Jannah. Aameen.

I feel like when western Muslims focus on Islam as the reason to support Palestinians they're automatically assuming all Palestinian Muslims have only one interpretation of Islam and sense of religiosity that they are imposing on the Palestinian people... but then that focus on Islam invariably allows western Muslim bigoted institutions and people who refuse solidarity with the oppressed like Yaqeen institute and Omar Suleiman (who are also normalizers tbh) to assert themselves as the spokespeople of the Palestinian people and imposing their agendas onto Palestine when it is a liberation struggle first and foremost with a diverse array of people and thought schools.

Activist video shows alternative Gaza Super Bowl ad
The activist group Know Collective has produced an alternative Super Bowl advertisement showing the death and destruction that has occurred as a result of Israel’s war on Gaza.
The video was produced in response to the Israeli government buying a primetime slot at the US Super Bowl on Sunday to highlight the plight of captives being held in Gaza.
“To all the dads that have been killed by the [Israeli military] for over 120 days, we vow to bring you justice,” the Know Collective advertisement says.
Posting on X, Omar Suleiman, the president of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research in the US, said: “Here is the #GazasuperBowlAd you should’ve seen”. —Israel’s war on Gaza live: Rafah bombarded as Israel plans ground assault, 03:40 GMT (Al Jazeera)

If you Google the evilness of Christianity you won't find anything that reflects the atrocious acts of genocides but the same can't be said about Islam. Why? If you look honestly at the history of colonization and slavery you will find out that no religion has killed so many innocent Black Indigenous People globally and took everything from us and left our entire Black Indigenous People History as perpetual slaves as if Black Indigenous People globally have always been enslaved.
Christianity is the symbol of white supremacy due to the irrefutable truth that poor and destitute people who identify themselves as European and white are the benefactors of Christianity because of the Christian Doctrine of Discovery. This is why people who call themselves white believe in Christianity and hate all religions that are not.

Yaqeen Ramadan Reflections: Day 4
The Other Side
In this episode, Ameer, the young man from Gaza, experienced a beautiful dream even in the middle of such hardship. How do you think dreams could help you when you are going through difficult times?
Not gonna lie, most of the time my dreams are absolute nonsense or a replay of events of the day. I do have trouble sleeping and low quality sleep often though. I hadn't paid much attention to my dreams most of the time except when they are upsetting, alhamdulliah that is not often. One time, I checked up on certain people because I saw great distress for them in a dream. Another time, I woke up in a fright because my dream showed me something I desire that I knew shouldn't be in my heart at all. E
Quran 30 for 30
This reminder especially matters to me when I consider doing things that may be (according to my own estimates) outside of my "skill" range. When, for example, I might think "oh I'm not a great conversationalist, so I won't make friends easily in a new office" but hearts are in the Lord's hands. And He can send you someone you vibe more easily with. Same with any other relationships, jobs, grades, and so on.
الإنابة
To return to Allah often.
This was my favourite portion of today's episode. Ust. Lobna Mulla is phenomenal when it comes to speaking about relationships and their effect. I also believe this is a depserately ignored part of the religion, gentlness. People often jump to "my right, their right" when handling conflicts in relationships with no regard to how others feel. This ignores the concept of Ihsan, excellence in character, to give to others even more than what those rights dictates. And as someone said before, though I do not recall who did, once you go back to the list of right and duties of each person, then that means there's conflict. You won't go to this list when the relationship is being led with love and mercy. A hadith I heard before prohibits people from aiding the shaytan against their brethren, being harsh with someone who has sinned or is going through difficulty is aiding the shaytan against them. To alienate them in a moment of weakness is a disservice and an injustice. They even mentioned the Prophet's peace be upon him response to the 40 archers who abandoned the mountain at Uhud and, by extension, caused the death of his beloved uncle, AlAbbas. I wanna read up about that.

LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH.
i’m always excited to watch new episode from Yaqeen Institute, especially the Ramadan Series– Qadar; Why Me? by Sheikh Omar Suleiman. but this episode is the hardest. 💔😭
“romance is like a rizq. it’s not something everyone is going to have in this dunya.”
“two people can seem like a perfect fit, have all the same passions, and want to do everything right, but for some reason Allah didn’t want it to happen in this dunya.”
it takes far more than being in love to be together. love is just a feeling. there are many factors which are required for a relationship to work out.
no matter how much you guys love each other.
no matter how much you and someone is similar.
if you are not destined to be together, then its not gonna happen. and vice versa.
we as muslim have to believe in Allah's qadr, and if two people can't be together then it is simply FATED.
may we be given the chance to find love and be blessed with righteous spouses one day inshaAllah.

Where have you been, myself?
So, where have you been myself? Ramadhan beberapa waktu terakhir, terutama 5 tahun terakhir terasa terlewat begitu saja, terlebih setelah mbah meninggal.
