Valentine’s Day Gift

i have a dream last night which is about yansim student council 1980s (includes my OC Elena)in a 2d fighting combat game like samurai shodown.and this is an Sengoku AU.

only remember what Elena and Daisaku wear in my dream.

Elena is based on Gracia from Samurai Warriors.she dressed liked a western lady,and seems she has Western Christianity.Her mother is from western.

weird,Daisaku wears ripped jeans but it is supposed to be a Sengoku era...

i dont remember what the others wear...

Jose is a ninja but he is from western.based on a character from Samurai Warriors 5

Reiichi is based on Andrew from Samurai Shodown 5(?)

Ken is also based on a character from Samurai Warriors.

also,Elena,Reiichi and Daisaku are unlockable characters and they can be unlocked through the Arcade/Story mode in game.

And another thing— what is there to “sell” about Yandere Simulator? His code sucks, his writing sucks, lots of the mechanics that could be considered somewhat proprietary are unique in a bad way (read: dumb, perverted, or both), and the core concept is vague enough that someone could just make (and has made already!) a much better game around that concept from scratch with no legal trouble. It’s gotten to the point where the idea of a “yansim fangame/murderer schoolgirl sim” is a genre in itself.

The brand and the fanbase might have been good enough to sell at one point, but now that’s ruined, too, because of the developer’s newfound notoriety.

Bigger game studios wouldn’t buy it from him just on the principle that the game is pedophilic and glorifies murders in schools. Some indie studio might see that YS has a pre-built audience with high interest that’s disillusioned with their own dev and try to make their own complete version of a “Yandere Simulator” once the project dies, though (out of a want for profit though instead of spite) and it would probably cause a really funny tantrum from Alex and absolutely murder his ego.

Introduction

Hello! Welcome to my new blog dedicated to an idea I've been developing recently!

Basically, I have an idea for a blatant ripoff of Yandere Simulator. I like to play the game, and the concept of a serial-killing schoolgirl is really interesting, but sadly, the predator had to get to it first.

I don't exactly expect this idea to come into full fruition, as I have absolutely zero coding experience and there's that whole "Yansim Fangames Curse" thing, but I would love to share my ideas and get feedback!

lukewarm take lol

i have a lukewarm take regarding YS and love letter and like. while love letter so far has shown to be better as of recent and dev is a terribe prson yadda yadda we all know how the story goes

i feel like the few (I HOPE IT IS FEW) LL fans that are trying to spam everything related to ys isn't like just hurting ys, but their own game as well; because by being like "haha yeah we're here and we're better we've only been in development for 2 weeks hehehe! >:D" it just makes love letter be known more as "the better yansim". when at this point i feel it would be better to separate the two as. you know. their own separate products. as in, YS is not “the worse love letter” or “love letter is the better yansim”. love letter is love letter, and yansim is yansim.

like both things should stand on their own feet basically

I looked at the fangame trailer (the logo is totally ripped off and I bet they used the pre-existing school building tool for the map and other yansim assets, stealing btw) and I thought it would be this big thing but it's literally SIXTEEN SECONDS OF GAMEPLAY SNIPPETS. That's literally nothing compared to the HOURS of videos uploaded by YandereDev showing off the game in detail. This fangame is gonna flop like all the others.

can you explain what happened with yansim recently. i know his game is shit especially compared to where he should be after all this time and he's a creep but did anything happen recently of note?

lately the ENTIRE SOURCE CODE was leaked and a group of ex-fans basically set out to make their own better version of yansim and could do so in less than a month what alex did in a year, proving him to just be an incompetent manchild baby and i think he suicide baited the devs of the fangame too

basically it’s been proven the problem isn’t yansim itself, it’s concept: just the execution of the man working on it and it really got under his skin

I made a neutral post about Yandere_Simulator being bombarded by downvotes and spam and I was gonna leave it at that, but I’m just tired and I don’t have anyone else to vent to so here we go.

The dude does not deserve to be harassed so hard that he has to private an entire subreddit to avoid spam and hatred.  Even if he did, the fans of the game certainly don’t.

People keep comparing him to Scott Cawthon.  And yeah, he’s not as good of a game maker as Scott, but very few people are.  Scott is an anomaly when it comes to being able to consistently put out new good games.  Even then, Yandere Simulator is a game with a scope that is much wider than FNaF, so it makes sense that YanSim would take longer to make.  the FNaF games made by Scott involved at most 50 (but usually closer to 5) AIs walking around a simple path in a pre-rendered environment.  YanSim has 97 AIs walking around 3D space and are required to react relatively dynamically to a variety of scenarios.

People say that YanDev reacted poorly to the Love Letter fiasco, and yeah he kinda did, but people are just blatantly lying or are completely misinformed.  People are saying that Scott allows fangames but YanDev doesn’t, completely ignoring that YanDev doesn’t have issues with actual fangames like Watashi No Mono.  He only had a problem with a game that is just a carbon copy of YanSim, down to even the name.  It’s also ignoring that Scott himself has also made cease and desists towards fangames, most recently the FNaF 2 fan remaster.

On another note, people like to say that YanDev refuses to accept help or criticism even though he is currently accepting a lot of both from a variety of people who can be seen in the credits page of YanSim.  And he has even linked to this video which gives a code review of YanSim and criticizes the game’s programming and it’s numerous flaws.  He is also receiving programming help from the person who made that video.

I'd say to take a look at Watashi no Mono. It's a yansim fangame, but with all original assets and story, and it's still better codewise and contentwise than most of yansim.

There's a yansim fangame called chibi yandere, you learn some of the game's backstory in the first chapter where you are playing as ayano's dad, and later on you're ayano and you have to eliminate the rivals. oh and it's made in rpgmaker
