For all the shit I talk about the shikamaru book, I'll give Yano his flowers where they're due. He's got specifically and EXCLUSIVELY Shikamaru's characterization down. can't right a single other damn character in that book without making me roll my eyes, but his Shikamaru is mostly solid.
even his boring ass 'never being wrong' beat in shippuden is being kinda reframed!! now it's 'not ALLOWED to be wrong because I have PTSD and ANXIETY over the last and ONLY time I was EVER wrong'. it's a good angle!! I feel like if I rewatched, like, the asuma death arc now, it'd be genuinely more engaging, cause I can get in Shikamaru's head a lot more. He has now made his SECOND mistake EVER. and his fucking sensei died. like. I get it now shikamaru. I get why you went so fucking warcrimes bonkers on hidan's ass!!
Like I don't even think he wrote the Danzo parralels on PURPOSE but it's such a good angle it makes my head spin. it is. it's tasty. it's almost well written. it makes sense and it hurts a little. I think eventually Ino is gonna have to just leave an uber classified file on the truth about danzo on Shikamaru's nightstand before he goes too far. It's so much fun. Thank GOD Sasuke's not in the village. Well done Yano you made Shikamaru interesting. You've exposed the thing that is deeply wrong with him. His fatal flaws. Being a Danzo kinnie with an anxiety disorder. I can work with that! That's usable!!

Seductive Vampire Singers Gather in Fall 2021 TV Anime Visual Prison Main Visual & 2nd PV
The official website for the forthcoming fall 2021 original TV anime Visual Prison has posted a main visual and a 110-second second PV. The A-1 Pictures-produced series is set to premiere in Japan on October 8, 2021.
The total of 10 main characters of the anime's three in-story bands - O★Z, LOS†EDEN, and ECLIPSE - are all together in this stunning main visual. The catchphrase, "Music connects thoughts and becomes a bond." expresses the desire of those who live the fate of vampires to confront their friends and themselves through "song" in the story.
The second PV features the anime's OP theme song "Zankoku Shangri-La" sung by one of the three in-story bands, O★Z, as well as new scenes and new dialogues of the main characters. The story's keywords such as "red drops," "red moon," and "half-vampire" are scattered throughout the video.
Synopsis:
Ange Yuki is a young boy who is unable to fit in with his surroundings and has a strong sense of loneliness inside. When he finds himself alone in the world, he leaves his hometown to visit Harajuku, a town where the artists he admires are active. Hhe encounters a live battle between the visual-kei unit ECLIPSE and LOS†EDEN. While Ange is overwhelmed by their energetic stage performance, he is suddenly struck by a pain in his chest. At that moment, Ange awakens as "Dhampir," half vampire, half human.
2nd PV:
youtube
In addition, Yutaka Kyan and Jun Utahiroba, two members of the Japanese air visual-key band Golden Bomber ("air" means that they actually don't play any installments on the stage) are confirmed to make guest voice appearance in the anime. Power Rangers Bushido Blades
(Logo by @masterpikachu6)
Long ago in ancient Japan there lived a mighty shogun, loved by his people he ruled during an era of peace until a dark threat rose. The Akukai, monstrous beings created from the spirits of the dishonorable dead began to attack the innocent.
Fortunately an order of monks and priestesses discovered a way to infuse kanji with a person’s spiritual essence creating the ability of Kanji-Ryuko. By using a Kanji Command warriors could unleash incredible attacks and abilities. The Shogun studied this ability and had a group of handpicked warriors study it as well. The order also provided a series of talisman to the samurai to give them further power in battle. Using this ability the group of samurai was able to fend off the invasion and finally the Shogun gravely wounded the leader of the Akukai, Chionio (Blood Demon King) as he and the rest of the warriors created a seal to keep the monsters trapped. However in the resulting explosion they were caught in a seal themselves.
Many centuries later the conditions were just right to break the seals releasing both groups. Chionio was still healing from his wounds so his followers attacked the world to avenge him as the samurai aim to ward them off once more as the Power Rangers Bushido Blades!
Red Bushido Ranger- Takeshi Hakuryu*- The shogun of a great land long ago. While he may act arrogant and prideful he truly cares about those under his rule. When he awoke in the modern day he was devastated to learn his land fell while he was gone. His spirit roars like a mighty inferno as he wields the Burning Broadsword. His talisman becomes the Lion Bushido Zord Face Claim: Steven Yeun
Blue Bushido Ranger- Daisuke Shimizu*- A great warrior who once fought the shogun in battle. Once he was disarmed he continued to fight, as he braced himself for the killing blow he was shocked Takeshi had chosen to spare his life. Awed by his power and mercy he swore his life to him. Even after all the centuries he keeps to his vow. His spirit is as powerful as a rushing river as he wields the Rainfall Bow and Arrows. His talisman becomes the Dragon Bushido Zord Face Claim: Ross Butler
Yellow Bushido Ranger-Yoshiko Doi*- A member of the order who discovered Kanji-Ryuko. She is highly skilled in the use of it however her combat ability is lacking at first. She is quiet and contemplative however she opens up around close friends. Her spirit is as solid as a rock as she wields the Boulder Cutter. Her talisman becomes the Monkey Bushido Zord Face Claim: Sakurako Okubo
Green Bushido Ranger-Shun Kobayashi*- A cunning ninja who heard tales of the shogun’s power. He spied on him for weeks watching him until witnessing his full power in a battle. As an enemy attempted to attack the exhausted shogun from behind he cut them down with a quick attack. In gratitude Takeshi welcomed him even after he revealed he knew he had been spying on him the whole time. His spirit grows like the lush forest as he wields the Leaf Spear. His talisman becomes the Bear Bushido Zord Face Claim: Osric Chau
Pink Bushido Ranger- Rin Kazehaya*- An assassin hired to slay the shogun she got within striking distance when the shogun blocked her attack. Impressed with her obvious skill at her craft Takeshi hired her as his personal bodyguard, after having her eliminate her previous client first. Her spirit is as swift as the wind as she wields the Whirlwind Fan. Her talisman becomes the Turtle Bushido Zord Face Claim: Yuuka Yano
Gold Bushido Ranger- Hiroki Fukami*- A student of Japanese mythology who witnessed the Samurai’s first battle after they escaped the seal. He was the one who dubbed them Power Rangers and helped them adjust to the many changes in the world. Soon he would create a way to fight alongside them using a new form of Kanji-Ryuko. His spirit shines brightly as he wields the Glowing Blade. He creates a pair of talisman resulting in the Lobster and Squid Bushido Zords Face Claim: Harry Shum Jr
Red Bushido Ranger- Kiyoko “Kiki” Ryumine* - An idol singer who makes waves by speaking out against the horrible conditions idols often face. She’s currently staring in the Japanese version of Triumph Trio based around flowers, she plays Triumph Rose. She is also the descendant of Takeshi, after discovering her link to him she begins to study the lost art of Kanji-Ryuko. She uses it to restore an ancient Bull talisman resulting in the creation of the Bull Bushido Zord. Her spirit is as fiery as a blaze as she wields the Burning Broadsword. The two Reds eventually learn that a shared relative, the descendant of Takeshi and the ancestor of Kiyoko fell to the Akukai. Now called Yakikiri (Burning Cut) this demonic swordsman is out for the blood of both Reds Face Claim: Kyary Pamyu Pamyu In time the Rangers discover a new talisman allowing a person to unlock all their spiritual power at once creating the Spiritual mode. In this mode a Ranger’s power is increased tenfold. By infusing the talismans with Kanji-Ryuko the Rangers can call forth the Bushido Zords which can combine to form the Bushido Megazord Red- Torso and head Blue/Green-Legs Yellow/Pink- Arms An additional trio of talisman become the Beetle, Fish, and Tiger Bushido Zords each giving the Bushido Megazord increased power as well as combining into the Thunderbird Bushido Zord which combines with the Bushido Megazord to form the Soaring Bushido Megazord
The Lobster Bushido Zord forms its own Megazord as the Shining Lobster Megazord which has four modes including one that combines with the Squid. It can also combine with the main Megazord to form the Shining Bushido Megazord armed with a powerful cannon. The Bull Bushido Zord also forms its own Megazord as the Bull Bushido Megazord. The three Megazords can combine to form the Bushido Ultrazord.
Morphers- Bushido Brushes Morphing Call- Spirit of Bushido, arise and become my blade! Morphing- Their elemental symbol surrounds them in their element forming the suits Rangers Of Two Universes: A warp in reality brings the RPM Rangers to the world of the Bushido Rangers resulting in both teams working together to fend off an alliance of their enemies looking to take advantage of the warp. AR House Awards Winners for 2020
The AR House Awards Winners 2020
Monday 30th of November 2020 – Davidson Rafailidis’ house in Buffalo, New York State, US has been announced as the winner of the AR House awards 2020, alongside two Highly Commended and three Commended house projects.
Big Space, Little Space, USA, design by architects Davidson Rafailidis: photo : Florian Holzherr
Davidson Rafailidis transformed a 1920s garage into a small house in Buffalo, NY. The house, named Big Space, Little Space, reinterprets the pre-existing living spaces to create an adaptable space that changes with the seasons and the needs of the users. The ‘Little Space’ consists of an enclosed, insulated area within the garage, containing a kitchen and bathroom as well as a sleeping and living space. The room overlaps with the ‘Big Spaces’: the workshop that inhabits the larger portion of the building, and in summer months expanding into the garden and the roof deck.
The winning house design was chosen by a judging panel including three previous AR House finalists: co-founder of Collectif Encore Anna Chavepayre, British architect Lisa Shell, and Dutch architect Ard de Vries. Entries were received from around the globe and considered by the judges, who were looking for ingenious and pioneering houses that seek to push the type forward.
Lisa Shell said of the winning project that it ‘achieves a level of delightful intricacy without wilfulness. The project is built from a clear narrative of opposites – a play between the intense and laconic, which is rigorous from idea through to detail.’
Ard de Vries described the project as ‘simple, elegant and flexible.’
Anna Chavepayre also commented: ‘The house’s capacity to adapt to the seasons, the changing light and the flexible devices, means it is a very big small house.’
The winner is joined by two Highly Commended projects: – Couldrey House in Brisbane, Australia by Peter Besley and HNNA In the foothills of Mount Coot-tha, a monolithic brick house which rises from the subterranean rock with a heavy thermal mass
Lisa Shell: ‘The luscious oozing mortar of the masonry facades is delightful, as is the simple interior palette of concrete, “white” and timber.’
Anna Chavepayre: ‘The house is perfectly adapted to “the ancient and enigmatic landscape”, heavy from the outside and surprisingly light when you enter the living room situated in the canopy of the trees.’
– Casa Avándaro in Mexico by Manuel Cervantes Estudio A long timber house that unfurls living spaces across the landscape, branching from a simple colonnaded spine
Anna Chavepayre: ‘You feel the house can be silent and calm and filed with life.’
Ard de Vries: ‘It is a modest design in which light and air determine the quality of the interior and the exterior through the rhythm of the wooden construction.’
Three additional projects were also commended by the jury:
– White Hut in Japan by ADO A polyhedric suburban house that opens a generous hand to the street while preserving the privacy of its inhabitants
Ard de Vries: ‘In a complex urban context the geometry formulated the quality of the interior space.’
– House TP in Belgium by dmvA A floating greenhouse captures light on top of a house as it attempts to integrate urban farming with domesticity
Lisa Shell: ‘House TP is curious and complex despite being a tiny low budget renovation project.’
– Four Leaves in Japan by Kentaro Ishida Architects Studio An organic roof shape integrates this rural house with its natural surroundings and creates a dynamic living space below
Lisa Shell: ‘The complex play of the four roof planes transforms an otherwise unexceptional house into something very special, both internally and externally.’
