-He starts being even more protective as soon as he gets the announcement.

-He is also significantly more clingy, even moreso than usual.

-Expect to be coddled and held all day and all night.

-If you need or want anything, he'll give it to you before you can even ask for it.

-He becomes wary of everything though; you're barely allowed to leave your bed.

-He's afraid of everything that could happen to you: what if you fall, what if someone breaks in, what if you eat food that's gone bad. Anything from the mundane to the fantastical is a threat in his mind.

-Besides, he can do almost anything that would require you to stand up; there's no reason for you to do something so risky.

-If you try to go against him, he will get upset.

-Luckily for you though, out of fear for the baby, he'll keep his voice down and won't argue much.

-Regardless, his way is final, and if you keep struggling against him, he'll see the need to restrain you again, no matter how much progress you two have made in the way of trust.

I: Ideals - What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling? Karkat just wants you to be his matesprit, and for you two to be together. Having you with him gives him peace of mind and and peace in general that he's never known before, so of course he wants to keep you close.

K: Kisses - How do they act around or with their darling? Karkat will actually act way calmer around you than around everyone else, almost like a moirail to him. He loves being with you and tries to act as "natural" as he can around you to try and make you calmer by seeing how calm he is, but since he is still Karkat, he's built up a lot of walls over his lifespan, and those are still hard to tear down.

L: Love Letters - How would they go about courting or approaching their darling? Karkat would try to watch you, learning everything you like, everything you dislike, and your routine. Eventually, after he had written down and learned everything he can about you, he eventually approaches you for the first time. He tries to pepper as much of what he's learned about your interests as he can throughout the conversation, and hopefully, you two start a friendship. That's, at least to him, his way in.

M: Mask - Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else? Karkat is relatively similar to you as he is with his close friends, except with the obvious addition of him being much more affectionate towards you.

N: Naughty - How would they punish their darling? Karkat, as much as he talks a big game, is not really a violent person at heart, at least towards the people he cares about, and he cares about you more than anyone else. As such, his punishments are largely psychological, such as leaving you in a room alone for a few days.

O: Oppression - How many rights would they take away from their darling? Karkat would rarely let you leave his hive, however he doesn't really either, and this is in equal parts fear for your and his safety, and the safety of your relationship. He can't let someone else poison your mind and make you think your aren't a good couple!

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Troll/Human pairing, Obsession, Manipulation, Clingy behavior, Internal conflict, Slight stalking, Jealousy, Possessive behavior, Dubious relationship, Protective behavior mentioned, Biting, Gamzee is helping Karkat.

Karkat is another troll that would have to take time in order to fall for a human.

It's not impossible for him to love a human but it does take a while.

Karkat comes off as he typically does with people, which can give off the impression he hates you.

He's volatile, moody, and every word from his mouth seems like some sort of slight.

It's a pain to communicate with him through the chat client and in person.

Karkat really is a troll you have to get used to before you can actually befriend him.

Even when he begins to grow fond of a human he still comes off as arrogant and rude.

Then feels bad when he hurts you emotionally.

He's not really all that violent compared to most, he's mostly bark.

He's a slow burn yandere meaning it will take awhile for obsession to kick in.

Which is fine because by that time you can hear him ramble about quadrants and understand how troll relationships work.

Before you see his obsession you'll already know how Karkat acts.

Nothing much truly happens between you until you arrive on the meteor like Rose and Dave or meet him through Dream Bubbles.

When you manage to interact in person he'll become softer with you.

He's a bit defensive and crabby as usual, including towards you.

Although as he begins to develop flushed feelings for you... you'll notice he relents on being so aggressive.

At first he finds the idea of having a human in a quadrant as weird.

Even though you've listened to him explain quadrants and shipping charts he wonders if it could even work.

Flushed is the closest to human love... but what is he thinking?

Karkat would be in denial about his red feelings for you.

He'd try to ignore them when interacting with you.

Yet you'll notice he's always deep in thought with a vacant gaze in his eyes as he stares.

If anyone tries to imply he has red feelings for you he's incredibly defensive and flips out.

The last thing he needs is you hearing such a thing.

It's not too hard to tell he has a thing for you.

Sure, his private chats with you and weakness towards you could be a sign of close friendship.

But many people interpret it for what it is.

You actually don't mind Karkat too much when you become friends.

He becomes less volatile with you and tries to tone down his screaming.

He genuinely appears softer around you, like he's more willing to be gentle if it's just you around.

It would take him time to admit he has red feelings for you.

He just hates to say it but he really does love you a lot... he's probably felt for you ever since he saw you in person for the first time.

Now with you chatting and talking all the time he's bound to release his feelings of hesitancy towards telling you.

He just waits until the time is right.

Meanwhile he'll observe you from a distance when he isn't with you.

He honestly hates the idea of asking for advice on how to tell you.

Gamzee, his Moirail, is insane by this point and Karkat feels asking how to confess would end horribly.

Dave is another answer yet Karkat dreads the teasing and forward approach Dave may advise him to take.

As a result Karkat may just bite the bullet at some point and ask you.

"HEY, UM, I KNOW YOU MAY FIND THIS WEIRD... YOU TOTALLY CAN I UNDERSTAND BUT... HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF I SAID I HAD RED FEELINGS FOR YOU? WE TALKED ABOUT THIS WITH THE WHOLE QUADRANT THING. I WANT YOU AS MY MATESPRIT, THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY."

He's worried he'll come off too harsh with his voice or if you find it odd to date a troll so he just wings it in the end.

If you reject him then Karkat tries to be rational with this decision.

He says he understands and is willing to wait but he gets impatient and worried when he sees you hang out with others.

He wants to be your Matesprit badly.

He hates feeling so desperate when it comes to you.

Yet Karkat eventually forces his way into your life even if you didn't say yes.

He's no delusional, he knows what he's doing, but he can't bear the thought of you not being his red love.

If you say yes to him, either when he first asks or after his persistence, things become much easier for him.

Karkat, despite his volatile nature, seems like he'd be okay with affection.

He's able to calm his Moirail so he may be fine with being affectionate towards his Matesprit.

You are one of the only people he can properly tone down his volatile nature for.

If he ended up forcing you into his red quadrant then he'll try his best to calm and pacify you.

Karkat also seems like a troll who'd become jealous as a yandere.

He has a temper and can get overly protective/possessive about his perceived Matesprit.

Karkat is okay with both verbal and physical affection.

Although he prefers to give you physical affection.

Karkat seems like he could be a bad yandere, as in troubling to deal with.

This can be assumed by his volatile nature.

However, I feel Karkat can be okay to deal with.

He's not violent unless he has to be.

Most of the time if he's jealous he'll be moody or yell at whoever is causing hia jealousy.

He's more Chihuahua-like than anything.

Karkat may cling to you more, sometimes even in public, to show he claims you as his red love.

This would go along with the HC I have where trolls are possessive over quadrantmates.

Karkat goes from despising the idea of having a human in his quadrant to being overly defensive of his human Matesprit.

His jealousy and envy could be a bit problematic although I don't believe he'll intentionally hurt any of his friends other than something akin to a light fistfight.

I can't see him killing for you unless it's go save you.

He prefers to use words to descalate a situation due to being a leader.

Like with most yandere trolls, Karkat probably bites.

Not because he likes your pain, but because he wants to show others he takes claim to you.

He has to be careful as human skin and bodies are less durable than his own.

Karkat often wants to be vulnerable around his darling more than others.

He's vulnerable around his Matesprit and Moirail the most, although friends may also see a softer side to him.

Speaking of which, just as a little bonus, Gamzee may try to keep you and Karkat together.

Even if you aren't his Matesprit willingly.

Karkat would try to be gentle when showing affection.

Compared to his cranky personality, he's soft with holding you or kissing you.

Unless he feels your attention is being stolen from him... then his hold tightens.

If given the chance, Karkat may kidnap with help from his Moirail.

He tries not to but is he feels he has to, he will.

Karkat becomes open to exploring his human Matesprit and looks at ways you two are compatible with each other.

He's been one to closely study relationships through media.

If he finds you two are having issues in your Matespritship, he'll find ways to mediate it.

He won't be letting you go, though.

He's grown too attached to you to do that.

Overall, Karkat would be hesitant and even find the idea of a human in his quadrants repulsive.

Although with time, as he becomes friends with his darling, the idea of it will grow on him.

Karkat would not mind his darling being human once he fully falls for them.

You actually become one of the only people he can unwind around.

Karkat will soon put aside his views on human/troll pairings and indulge in his feelings within his obsession...

By the time he makes you his Matesprit, he isn't willing to let you go.

You've been his helper since day one. Never questioning his leadership, always eager to listen, and you are the first to take him seriously on any matter. He was suspicious of your agreeable nature at first, but eventually he got used to relying on you. You became his second pair of hands. There's no one he could trust more than you… which led to…

A phase of denial as he first realized his emotions. He couldn't be red. He shouldn't be. Not with you. He tried to nitpick your flaws. He tried pushing you away by giving you an excess of chores. He even got meaner. But you'd do your work fast and you brushed off his snark. Nothing worked.

'.... I've been an asshole to you… why are you still here?' 'Karkat, I don't know what you think about us but I see you as a friend. I know you get more closed off when you're going through something. I don't know what it is, and you're not obligated to tell me, but… I want you to know I'm here for you. I want to be.' '.... fuck.' 

He's red. He's so red. You're too fucking nice. Too good. Too sweet. His self loathing takes over. How could he bring himself to confess? He's not worth it. You'd be unhappy with someone like him. He resigned himself to a lifetime of being your friend… to keep you at an arm's length. 

You could feel a wall forming. He only talked to you to give orders. He would step back when you approached him. Heck, he'd walk out of a room if he noticed you were there. You prayed whatever mental hang up he was having would be cleared soon so he could talk to you again. Then, he got a message from a future self.

'Do it. Get what you want, coward.' No explanation given. Future him logged off immediately after. Anyone that noticed laughed it off and teased him. They didn't realize the storm that was brewing in Karkat's mind.

He scoffed at first. What right did future him have to meddle and call him names? Did he forget who they were? The friendship at stake? What kind of old-man regrets was he passing down? He got away from his screen and brewed with anger. The only thing that brought him back to his senses was seeing you walk in. He was going to walk out and leave you again… but this time you were walking with Eridan. And laughing. … Eridan? He did not like that at all.

'Do it.' He hates feeling like he's playing into something his future self wanted. But still, he's finding himself by your side when you join a conversation. He hovers behind as you do your daily check ups with the others. He stares and nitpicks your form as you do the chores he assigned you for the day. He's an annoyance. You begin to believe he had a sort of grudge against you. When you're finally done for the day, you tell him you're going to sleep. You're glaring into his eyes, hoping to get some message across that will make him back off. To your surprise, he averts his eyes and has a hand over his face. He mumbles. 'Yeah, you did good today.' … Was it you that made him feel uncomfortable? You left with a feeling of sadness. Maybe that was it. Maybe you calling him a friend overstepped a boundary. You were oblivious to Karkat behind you, trying to stop his face from flushing. He had liked the way you looked at him.

His brand of weirdness only got… weirder. It wasn't your job to check in with the others every day. You had to be next to him. In fact, all of your chores revolved around where he was. Sweep while he chatted with a human. Get information from Kanaya as he checked in with Gamzee. Follow him to his room and wait as he looks for something. This took over an hour, as he'd sometimes pause his search to ask something completely unrelated and forget why you were both there in the first place. He liked having you in his room. He wanted to stay there, unbothered, for as long as he could.

You allowed the conversation to drift sometimes, relaxing as his tone returned to the friendlier one you knew from before. You decided to ask some questions of your own. About good movies, favorite foods, simple things, but he seemed to beam with your interest. He even began to smile. You smiled back, finding this side of him endearing. It was a look so warm it made him stop talking, and he was back to staring. The silence brought the environment back to being uncomfortable. You decided it was time to go back outside and asked about the item again. Karkat was still in a daze but he found it easily this time, and you headed out. You could still feel his eyes all day.

He's needy. He's so needy. He knows. He hates it. He hates himself so much. But he can't bear it. His side feels so cold without you. You have to be next to him. You have to be within eyesight. He can't focus anymore without seeing you in the corner of his eyes. The others notice and begin taunting him. Distracting him as someone else talks to you. Asking for help from other rooms, making him move all over to keep up.

The final straw was Tavros innocently slipping and falling on you as you tried to catch him. He wasn't even in on the teasing, but he was ripped apart from you and yelled at, all of Karkat's rage focused on tearing him to shreds. When he was done, the room was silent. No one had seen Karkat blow up like this before. Finally, Vriska broke the silence with an explosion of laughter. Karkat wanted to turn around and give her a piece of his mind too, but his eyes met yours. And you looked so hurt. He was dumbstruck, arm weakly following you as you got up and ran away. You were done with this behavior. 

He catches up with you before you got on your teleporter. He's pleading for you to wait. You finally turn and see the scared look in his face. You also see the audience that followed behind him. Without much thought, you grabbed his hand and brought him to your room, sick of feeling like everyone's soap opera. This was a private affair. You let go of him as soon as you're alone, though. You still can't look at him.

'What's been up with you?' It's time you confront your fears. 'You've been… insufferable. Micromanaging, nagging, never letting me out of your sight! What did I fuck up? What did I do that made you treat me like a grub?' Your frustration is evident. You're mad at him. Karkat isn't used to diffusing these kinds of situations involving him. Especially not with you. He's terrified he's ruined things. He's terrified of losing you. All at once, his panic makes him break. He grabs at his hair as he explains. 'You didn't do anything! You've been great! Fucking anything I could ever want! I-In a partner- I-' He stumbled. He's hyperventilating. He squeezes his eyes shut and continues. 'I fucked up. I didn't want to be alone… so I just kept following you. I shouldn't have, I know I'm annoying. I'm sorry-' His voice breaks. He's choked up. This is the most vulnerable you've ever seen him. It melts your heart. 'Karkat…'

'I'm sorry!' He continues, a tear streams down his face but he wipes it fast. 'Please don't be mad. I'll leave you alone now. You don't have to help-' 'No! No no no, I want to help! Karkat, I love helping you!' His breath shakes and he finally looks at you with wide eyes. What were you saying? You got closer and held his hand, earnest with your words. 'I'm not going to stop, ok? If you were lonely, you could've just said so, dummy! It's… awkward to have you everywhere I go… but knowing it's not because you hate me is a lot better than what I was thinking, haha.' You were smiling at him again. So warm, he couldn't believe it was real. 'You can keep following me...' You let go of his hand and shyly turned away, realizing how close you had gotten. 'Uh… if you still want to.' Kind. Good. Sweet. Perfect. Fuck, he loved you…

He caressed the side of your head, fingers running through your hair. It was soft… His gaze turned to your eyes and reality hit him like a brick. What had he done? He felt a wave of embarrassment. He retracted his hand immediately, blushing, frantic. He turned his back to you and hid his face with his hands. You were too shocked the first few seconds to react, but soon concern bubbled as he went on a rant. He shouldn't have touched you, he's sorry, please pretend it never happened, don't fucking tell anyone! He's shaking. You can't have that on your watch! You were just reconciling!

He's completely and fully stopped all brain function as he felt your arms around him. You were touching him. You were holding him! He's a heater and flubbing his words as he asks you what you're doing. You tell him that you liked the pat. It was cute! You squeeze him and laugh. You wouldn't mind more physical intimacy if that's what he wants. You can feel his tenseness subdued just a bit. His bloodpusher is still quick, though. He hesitantly… places an arm over yours. You can't see his face but his ears are red. You smile, unaware of what you've awakened. You gave him permission. He knows he can touch you. After much deliberation, he finally relaxed and held your arms closer to his chest. He squeezed his eyes shut and inhaled you around him. Amazing. This was amazing. You eventually let go, you didn't want to make him uncomfortable. He misses your weight already, and stumbled. 'I'm sorry… was that too forward of me?' You hoped you hadn't made things worse again. - karkat is quite obsessive as a yandere, though I do think a lot of Homestuck yanderes are much worse than him in this regard.

- he’s still obsessive though, and he is constantly at a battle with himself. Wondering if he feels more red or black for you

- cause while a regular karkat might be able to pin that down a yandere karkat cannot. He hates what he feels for you and how much his feelings for you have caused problems in his life and he confuses that with genuine hatred for you at times

- but a part of him can’t fathom the idea of truly hating you? Like he would never kill you or anything of the sort. But he still kinda hates you and what you make him feel. See? It’s confusing. And he’s so contradictory.

- suppose he just doesn’t understand what he feels. He goes in between talking shit about you for endless hours because he hates your guts so goddamn much, or he’s sappy and rambling about how talented and sweet you are and how you make him so fucking happy.

- he goes out of his way to bother and annoy you. It’s kinda like how he’d antagonize and start fights with sollux for the fuck of it, but it’s much more common and intense with you and usually never gives you a break.

- however, still similar in the regard he will say some mean shit and then cry type over whether or not you’re still friends (because y’all definitely aren’t dating yet)

- he does care for you though. So deeply in fact, it frustrates him. It frustrates him even more that he feels a protectiveness over you. It makes him even MORE frustrated when he knows he can’t protect you. He’s just a short, mutantblood, what can he honestly do except do intimidation tactics.

- Karkat is a jealous yandere, gets jealous over the dumbest shit. He doesn’t even get it either at first, which frustrates him. When he’s finally dating you though he knows it very well.

- it leads to problems. He assumes you like the person, he assumes you’re cheating on him. Or he simply assumes you’re doing it on purpose so he has every fucking right to get the guy murdered.

- overbearingly clingy, though unsurprising since back in his early days.. before he met these damn humans.. he was always available to talk to his fellow trolls. It should come as no shock he has no fucking life.

- Karkat is generally not a dangerous yandere, he can be if jealous. His jealousy makes him angry and causes him to make rash decisions, but he feels justified in his anger. He doesn’t completely understand his attraction, his feelings are mixed and jumbled together. Despite somebody with supposed experience in romance.

- but deep down, even if he feels he hates you, he knows he loves you just as much.

- but he needs to know you love him. Or else it’s the end of the fucking world. He’s so dramatic about you not saying I love you every 10 goddamn minutes. He’s overly insecure, which may correlate to the jealousy.

- but he doesn’t think he’s obsessed. He thinks he’s normal. He’s completely off his fucking hinges though.

- and the more you show you don’t love him (in his eyes at least) the closer he is to murdering everyone else you’ve ever grown to know

- (also, he’s got creepy ass stares. Stares at you with this fuckin glare on his face. You can’t tell if it’s his normal expression or if he’s mad at you for something.)

- sometimes, acts like you’re a useless fuckin toolbag that needs his assistance with everyone, a part of him knows how condescending it is, since he knows how it feels. He does it regardless.

- he’s just so insistent on helping you with everything. Whether it’s because he wants to help or truly seems you as a useless animal, who knows.

- but there is genuine love in there. It’s twisted, but it’s love.

How do you think Karkat, the romcom loving little shit he is, would react to his darling managing to successfully escape and evade recapture, only to find out that they did so because it was the only way they'd be able to surprise him with a romantic gift for their anniversary, apologizing for scaring him. But asking how else they were supposed to set up any kind of romantic surprise? Idk you can ignore this, I just thought it'd be a fun concept.

Yandere Karkat's S/O Escaping to Buy an Anniversary Gift

-I think the outcome will really depend on how long you are gone, as well as what trouble you may or may not have caused. Also depends on whether you actually managed to purchase the gift before he caught you.

-No matter what, he's going to be upset at first. He doesn't know whether he should be upset at you for escaping or at himself for leaving an open way for you to escape.

-If you didn't have the time to get your gift yet, he likely won't believe you, even if he desperately wants to think that you escaped to get him something romantic.

-If you did have time though, and he feels like you were gone for an accurate amount of time, he'll believe you. He'll still drag you back to his hive, but he'll give you a bit more freedom, so long as you don't leave without him again.

-He does really appreciate it though, no matter what it was. So long as he feels the sentiment was heartfelt, he'll be incredibly grateful and cherish it.

-If you were gone for what he deems to be too long, he'll be less likely to believe you, unless you can find a way to prove to him for sure that you only went to the store to get the gift.

-Also, if you got into any kind of trouble out there, if anyone hurt you, if you got hurt, whether you got the chance to get the gift or not, he would take you back home and you would almost seem to be in trouble with how much he yells at you, even though he vehemently claims you aren't. Your freedoms would also be completely limited again.

Karkat Vantas Alphabet Headcannons A-E

A: Affection - How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get? Karkat would hug you quite a bit, and be very affectionate towards you. He would be very touch-starved from isolating himself from everyone, so when he found you, he couldn't help but be affectionate towards you!

B: Blood - How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling? He's willing to get pretty damn messy. That sicklekind specibus can do some significant damage if he needs to. He doesn't like to be violent, but he definitely can be if he has to. He's pretty desperate to stay with you, and he'll do anything he can to do just that.

C: Cruelty - How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them? He wouldn't really mock you at all, in fact he would treat you as well as he could. He would even have Crabdad dig you a second hole, in case an Imperial Drone tries to cull him- and, by extension- you. He wants to protect to so much.

D: Darling - Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling's will? He would only really hug and cuddle you against your will, he doesn't want to hurt you, and he's aware that if he did anything sexual to you without you wanting it, it would make you uncomfortable and even possibly traumatizing you. So, he'll keep advances to a minimum until you reciprocate.

E: Exposed - How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling? Karkat wants to make you able to trust him, so he's going to trust you! He confides in you about everything, as well as more important and secret things he keeps to himself, most notably his blood color. He tells you about everything, in hopes that you will do the same.

Karkat has been thinking for a long time about how to change your opinion about him. He wanted you to have the same feelings for him that he had for you. That's why he decided to take a desperate step. He decided to kidnap you. He hoped that if you got to know him better, your opinion of him would change

You were genuinely scared of what he did. The first few hours that you spent locked up in his hive, you tried to calm down. You were afraid he would hurt you. But Karkat had no intention of harming you. He wanted to convey his feelings to you, but your panic got the better of you and you confessed to Karkat that you love him

Your words were not a hoax. You were really in love with Karkat. You were very embarrassed to admit it in front of your friends, so you told them that you didn't like him. You tried your best to hide your feelings from everyone, including Karkat, but you couldn't find the strength to hide your feelings being in such a stressful situation

Karkat didn't know what he should do. He assumed that if you spend enough time with him, you will begin to have red feelings for him. But now that he found out that you were in love with him, he didn't know at all what he should do. Heyy, do you know anyone from homestuck who would be a great as a yandere?

While my relationship with my middle school obsession is... strenuous, at best, I have to admit that Dave and Karkat would make an excellent pair of obsessors. While every kid from that comic (?) has enough issues to keep a therapist busy until their retirement, Karkat was already protective to begin with, so when he finds some innocent, harmless, pink fleshy thing that can’t properly defend itself, he’ll be paranoid to a fault, making excuses to keep you at home, yelling, cursing you out, doing whatever he can to stop you from going out into the cold, dangerous world. And, while he certainly won’t like tethering you to a wall and having to watch you cry while he explains why you’re not allowed to go outside anymore, he’s not above it, either.

Dave, on the other hand, would take more time to adjust to these... new feelings. He’s not used to expressing himself, so when he finds someone he can be honest with, he’ll slowly let himself relax, eventually showering you in compliments, attention, him until all you can think about is getting a second to yourself. Nothing will be out-right, but whenever you seem distant, he’ll assume he’s the one who did something wrong, apologizing and asking how he can get better, how he can improve. He’s certainly not physically restraining you, but you might prefer that to the guilt-trip you’ll have to take every time you’re in a bad mood. He’ll certainly get more aggressive if he’s with someone who’s a little more willing to ‘take action’, and considering the paragraph above, I’ll leave what exactly that means up to your imagination. 

And, as a bonus, Jade would be a trip. She’s never spent a lot of time around humans, or... anyone, really, so while she understands not every couple is constantly clinging to each other’s sides, she doesn’t know why she shouldn’t be able to cling to yours, or whine every time you have to do something without her, or stop you from having other priorities. Why would you? Don’t you love her more than anyone else? You're her little lab assistant, and she always wants to be around you, what’s so wrong with that? And more importantly, why do you keep screaming when she’s just trying to show you affection?

It was rather easy to fool people with how he really is. Considering most people would sooner consider him a Tsundere rather than Yandere. But honestly why would you care about it so much? All that matters is that he loves you. Who cares how he shows it as long as it gets through your thick head?

He is very caring. Sometimes a little too caring. His overprotective nature could get annoying. In the end he was just looking out for you, definitely not making it easy to manipulate you when he steps out of line.

He understands that he's not very strong and intimidating... But a man who has only one thing to lose can endure everything. That "thing" to him is you and he's not planning on letting you slip away no matter how much you'd want to. Not that you'd ever try to leave him.

It might sound dumb considering most of his knowledge comes from romcoms but believe me that he knows how to make a person feel loved while also manipulating their (your) emotions.

You're just this special to him. And he gets jealous quickly. To you though his jealousy will be seen only as his "insecurity".

He'd often ask you to ignore people for him. Not directly- but taking up all of your attention send some kind of message. Like a good lover that you are- you listen. You wouldn't want to make him lonely now would you?

He's so selfless for you you just have to allow him to be selfish with you every now and then. Relationship are give and take.
