(1:53) yanan
Tumblr media
pairing: royalty!yanan, twins au
genre: historical
warnings: may contain violence and mentions of bl0od
word count: 792
a/n: hi there! i know i have mentioned that i will be posting an atz fic next but since i remembered these yanan update, i clutched this prompt before my mind decided to go on a writer's block for an indefinite time. there's no proofreading so bear with me :'>
- 🌱 -
he is in fact unprepared although he expected that this time would come.
yanan gritted his teeth each time he hears an update from his advisor especially when it is a bad news. one of the news saying that his soldiers that are stationed at the gate are down just by the enemy's one blow.
"he's more violent than what i remembered" he thought.
he really is considering that the last time they saw each other was when they had fought for this very throne that he's currently sitting and it was when they were 15.
yanan rose from his seat as he ordered to deploy the troops and make use of the weapons that they kept just to stop him which is still useless as the troops ended up with more fatalities and casualties.
the enemy in question is just a small army of hooligans, as what the people of the town has described, and is being led by a man which made the townspeople raise their brows in confusion and panic at the same time while keeping themselves safe upon seeing his presence especially his appearance.
the last group of troops has been deployed. he gripped his one and only sword firmly before he went and slashed anyone who gets in his way. some soldiers are either losing their blood or their limbs. he then went straight to the general who was shaking deep inside upon knowing this man's existence. poor general tried his best but ends up losing an arm as he tries to combat him and stop him from getting further into the castle. the general was unable to do something to be honest as he was taken aback by the enemy's face which reminds him so much of the emperor that he swore to serve with for his entire life which sadly ends at the moment he gives him a final slash of his sword on his back.
"y-your majesty, general cho is.." yanan raised a hand, not letting his advisor finish as he already knew that this is going to be another bad news.
"where is he right now? is he close?"
"actually-" a loud crashing noise echoed through the end of the hall which basically answers his question.
the main door of his throne room shattered into pieces, smoke and dust coming into the area. yanan's personal guards who are stationed in the same room as him clutched on their weapons while others are holding their crossbows, aiming to a shadow that's getting prominent in the smoke as it steps further inside.
as the smoke gets thinner, the more visible the person is. yanan rose from his seat, gesturing his guards to ceasefire which made his advisor concerned.
"b-but your majesty-"
"i'll take it from here." and with that, the advisor confirmed to the guards to ceasefire.
the man who owns the shadow did the same thing to his minions, leaving them by the entrance before he walks to the center of the room. he walks in with blood stained face, the blade of his sword which is also covered with blood dragging against the floor.
"you could've just told me that you want a reunion" yanan said while rolling his eyes instead of greeting him.
the other snickered at how he was greeted. "you can't call it a reunion if somebody's here to take what's theirs. still an asshole i see."
"you're right. this could be a reunion if father was here.. but then, if he's here or not will he give this place to you?"
"if you didn't forge the papers, will he give this place to you brother?" yanan chewed on his lip at the sudden revelation especially knowing that his guards and his officials are present in this room, just hiding for their safety. "although you're just 6 minutes older than me i'm quite impressed that you managed to learn how to fake everything. fake it til you make it i guess.." he added
yanan clenched his jaw. he then pulls out that sword that he stashed close to him.
"ooh~ did i tick your nerve brother? i am just telling the truth."
"the audacity of you to say that and to come here bringing the very sword that ended our father." yanan balls his fist as he grips the sword. the younger one just chuckled lowly with his head hung down. he then looked back up at yanan with dark orbs and hooded eyes.
"that's the entire point brother." he sprinted towards yanan while dragging the sword with him. yanan was quick enough to whip his sword and block his younger twin's attack.
with gritted teeth, the younger twin continued, "this very sword will take this life of yours."

Let’s Go Home | Yanan
Tumblr media
Word count: 1.3k
Genre: fluff, family au
Requested: yes
A/n: this request was so cute! thanks to the anon for this request, hope everyone likes it! also, it has not been proof read, so sorry for any mistakes
Tumblr media
Sighing, you put the remaining food in the fridge. This was the third night that Yana had missed dinner with you and your daughter because he was busy in the studio. You knew exactly what you were getting into when you started dating Yanan years ago, but you had that that it would’ve been different when Liu was born; unfortunately, it wasn’t.
When you turn around, you are met with the sight of your daughter clutching onto her teddy bear that was a present from her father. Crouching down to her level, you ask her, “Sweetie, what are you doing out of bed?”
“I miss daddy.” Your eyes soften at her confession, understanding what she was feeling. Gently cupping her face, you tell her, “I do too sweetheart, but you know daddy’s busy with work a lot, so sometimes he can’t come home.” A pout forms on her face, but then suddenly her expression changes and she says, “Can we go see him?” A look of uncertainty forms on your face. It was already past Liu’s bedtime, but you figured she wouldn’t be able to sleep if she didn’t get to see her father tonight.
“Let me call Uncle Hui and see if it’s okay, okay Liu?” She begins to happily cheer, jumping up and down at the thought of seeing her dad. Grabbing your phone, you  text Hui to see if Yanan was there with him, when he responds with a no, you dial Hui’s number.
           “Hello?”
           “Hey Hui.”
“Hey Y/n, is there something wrong? Why’d you ask about Yanan?”
Quickly reassuring him, you tell him, “Nothing is wrong, it’s just that Yanan hasn’t been home in three days and Liu really misses him. So, I was wondering if it’d be possible for us to come by the studio.”
“It’s totally fine Y/n. I think Yanan misses you guys too, so it’ll be good for you guys to come. Plus, I get to see my favorite munchkin.” Smiling at his response, you look at the small child who has not taken her eyes off of you since you’ve been on the phone. “Okay thanks Hui, we’ll see you in a bit, yeah? Oh, and don’t tell Yanan, we want it to be a surprise.” When she hears your response, Liu begins to happily cheer again.
Chuckling, Hui says, “I guess someone’s excited. Anyways, I’ll see you guys later, bye Y/n.”
“Bye Hui.” After the call with Hui, you tell Liu to get changed into warmer clothes. As she does so, you pack the made you made earlier into a bento box, knowing that Yanan hadn’t eaten yet, making sure you pack a little extra for Hui as well. When you’re finished, you see that Liu is done changing and, in her hand, she is still clutching onto her teddy bear. Realizing that you’re looking at her she says, “Mr. Teddy misses daddy too.” Your daughter causes for your heart to melt. “C’mon sweetie, let’s go see your dad.”
When you get to the company, you make sure to text Hui that you’re there. Once he reaches the lobby, he sees you and Liu and immediately goes to hug Liu, “Ah, there’s my favorite munchkin.” Laughter sounds off as Hui picks up Liu. With Liu still in his arms, Hiu gives you a side hug, “Hey Y/n, it’s good to see you.”
“Hey Hiu, it’s good to see you too.”
“It’s just Yanan in the studio right now, so the two of you can head on up there.” Hui sets Liu down and pets the top of her head before she runs back to your side, grabbing your hand to hold. “Bye Uncle Hui,” she says as she pulls you towards the elevators.
Once in the elevators, you automatically press the button to the floor where Yanan was. It made you think of the times when the two of you were still dating and the only way for you to see Yanan without being caught was going to the studio. Now here you were, this time child in hand, sneaking around just to see Yanan again.   When you get to the floor, your legs automatically take you to the studio. From outside the door, you hear a groan that definitely belonged to Yanan. Looking at your daughter, you put a finger to your lips, motioning for her to be quiet. As quiet as you can, you slowly open the door, and you are presented with a very familiar sight. Letting Liu in first, you silently close the door behind you, waiting for the right time to let your presence be known.
“Ugh, why can’t I figure this out,” Yanan blurts out.
“Maybe it’s because you haven’t been home for days.” The presence of a new voice causes for Yanan to quickly spin around in his chair. Shock is visible on his face, but it quickly changes into an expression of joy.
“Daddy!” Liu runs into her father’s arms, which quickly wrap around her as he stands up to pick her up. “Princess!” He twirls her around a bit before walking up to you, Liu still in his arms, and pulls you into a sweet kiss. You hear a “yuck,” come from your child as the two of you pull away. “What’re you two doing here? It’s late.”
“I could say the same to you, couldn’t I?” Yanan sheepishly looks away from your crossed arm figure. Sighing, you tell him, “Liu couldn’t go to sleep because she missed you.” Yanan looks at Liu and ask her, “Is that true princess?” She nods her head and pulls out her teddy bear, “Mr. Teddy missed you two.” Yanan’s eyes soften at his daughter’s words. Feeling guilty, he apologizes, “I’m sorry princess. Daddy didn’t mean to be away for so long.”
“It’s okay now because daddy is here now.” After she finishes her sentence, a yawn escapes from her. Feeling even more guilty, Yanan apologizes once again, “I’m sorry that you couldn’t go to sleep because of me princess.” Sleepily, Liu responds, “Daddy let’s go home.” Before Yanan could say anything else, you butt in, “Yeah Yanan, it’s time to go home.” He looks at you before looking back at Liu and sighs, “I guess it’s time for me to go home.” A soft “yay” escapes from Liu before snuggling back into her father’s neck, and before she manages to completely knock out in his arms, she asks, “Can I sleep in your bedroom tonight?” Yanan looks at you before answering her, and you give him a look that says he already knows the answer to her question, “Of course you can sweetie.”
With Liu completely knocked out in his arms, Yana goes to shut off everything, and when he turns back around, he is met with your tired eyes. Walking up to you, he plants a kiss on your forehead, “I’m sorry I’ve been away for so long.”
“It’s okay, you know I’m used to it by now.”
Yanan is quick to say, “It’s not okay. I promised you that when Liu was born that I’d cut back on work to spend more time with you two and obviously I failed. I’m a failure of a father and a husband.”
Brushing away the messing hair in his face, you say to Yanan, “You are not a horrible father or husband. You’re doing the best that you can and that’s all that matters okay? Liu and I understand that sometimes you have to put your career first, and that’s fine because in the end, you’ll always come back. Even if we have to force you to.” Hearing your words of comfort makes Yanan realize how much he’s missed the two of you within the past few days, and he couldn’t be anymore grateful to have the two of you in his life. Swooping in for another kiss, he whispers to you, “I love you two.” Before you could respond, a soft mumble comes from the little girl, “I love you too.” Softly chuckling, you respond, “I love the two of you too. Now let’s get out of here and back to the comfort of our house.” Taking Yanan’s free hand, you intertwine your fingers together, slightly swinging them back and forth, bringing back the memories of the good times.

Goretober D30: Gone - Pentagon
Tumblr media
Pentagon + Gender Neutral Reader
Warnings: Disappearing themes (somewhat explained, not really), stalker themes, forgotten/abandonment themes, yandere themes? at the end kinda.
Word Count: 1,536
You bounded back into the circle of a group with a soft huff. The guys being boisterous as usual. Only to find that the group was one short of the right number, looking around with furrowed brows as you tried to place his face somewhere.
“Guys where’s Jinho? Is he not back yet? I thought he was right here when I left with Wooseok and Yuto?” You ask the carefree ones who turn to you between laughter looking just as confused as you did.
“Who? Y/N no one’s missing. Everyone’s here. Count again. You don’t have to make up some Jinho character just for laughs. You’re funny enough without doing that.” Hoetaek seems rather calm as he speaks as if he had no memory of the missing man. Just like they’d had no memory of Hyojong when you called him up a week ago only to find that he’d disappeared like Jinho now had.
“I’m being serious you guys, something isn’t right. I-I just want to find our friends before anyone else can disappear.” You sigh softly shaking your head as Hongseok places a hand on your shoulder gently.
“Y/N are you okay? This is the second person you made up now? Are these friends of yours from somewhere else?” Wooseok looks at you with soft eyes and you frown softly.
“N-No they’re our friends....I-I just...I-I don’t know why none of you can remember them.” A sudden sharp pang shoots through your head making your vision spotty and you to wince away holding your head in your hands as you stumble back. Calls of your name from the boys as they rush over to keep you from hitting the ground. When you come back to reality you blink your eyes open to find the spot where Wooseok had been standing empty. Jolting you back with a surge of adrenaline as you look around with no luck as you can’t spot him anywhere.
“Woo? Woo, where are you?” You call out frantically looking around until Hongseok catches you in his arms trying to calm you down.
“Alright Y/N I think you’ve had a long day and it’s getting to you, so just rest up for now and let your head and body recover and in the morning we can maybe talk about this some alright?” Hoetaek doesn’t give you much choice after his reasoning words though having Hongseok and Shinwon escort you to your room to promptly get some rest, which after much tossing and turning finally came when you grew too exhausted to fight it any longer. Your fears confirmed when Shinwon woke you for breakfast the next morning only to find one less person than there was supposed to be at the table. Hoetaek’s spot empty of even a table setting.
“Great! Now Hoetaek’s gone too?” Your voice is pressed and sarcastic, on the verge of tears as Yuto looks at you worried.
“Y/N? Who is Hoetaek? What is going on with you? Please....please talk to us.” Concern bleeding into his voice as he steps over to you, looking over you to check if you were alright.
“People from our group keep disappearing and every time they do you all instantly forget who they are. One person and I thought I was losing my mind, but now four people are missing and I’m kind of really freaking out right now.” Your words quake with panic as you try not to entirely lose your mind especially when they already hadn’t been believing you as is.
“If we helped you look would it calm you some? Don’t know that we’ll find anything. Or if we’ll even believe you without finding anything, but we want to make sure you’re alright and if looking with you will help....then maybe we should just try to figure it out together, alright?” Hyunggu offers and you nod appreciative of the fact that even if they didn’t believe you they were still willing to help you in anyway that they can.
“It would. Why don’t we eat and maybe grab somethings that feel useful and we could start looking around for an explanation?” You suggest and no one argues though Changgu’s eyes are watching you closely, something you chalked up to the concern they all had over your condition especially after you nearly collapsed the night before. Gasping and clutching as it happened again, holding your head in pain and looking around. This time you could only watch as Shinwon disappeared between blinks before your very eyes.
“Y/N?” Yanan calls from your side gently rubbing your back, “Do you want any headache medicine or anything?”
“N-No it’s just.....I-I just watched it happen. S-Shinwon is gone now....l-look his cereal is still there.” You point across the table where sure enough Shinwon no longer was, but a half touched bowl of cereal still sat all alone. That enough to get some of their attention at least.
“Okay, that is weird....maybe Y/N is realizing something the rest of us don’t.” Yuto agrees as Yanan moves to clean it up. Before any of you get a chance to go anywhere or do anything though Changgu clears his throat to get everyone’s attention onto him.
“I think the first thing we need to do is take Y/N to the hospital. At the very least Y/N is getting bad head pains and we need to see what is causing that.” Changgu firmly speaks as he stands from the table to come over and help you up just in case the pain early did anything to throw you off.
“Fine, but nothing is wrong with me you’ll see.” You insist with a soft huff, but don’t fight as they help you into the car. Noticing that there’s going to be one less as Yuto has joined the ranks of missing people somewhere along the way to the car. You’re feeling light headed as you get in though, resting your head against Yanan’s shoulder, but afraid to so much as blink in fear that another would be gone once you did at the rate they were vanishing.
Hongseok helped you out upon arrival and as you sit there the pain comes again gaining the attention of the nurses and staff as you grasp Yanan’s hand tightly. Until you feel it fading away, along with the soft spoken man who had been to your left. Your nails soon digging into your palm as you tried to hold onto him, despite it being no use. You were stuck at the hospital with now just the three boys left when you could be out looking for clues as to what was happening to them and trying to get them back to you and that irritated you. Somehow though it was draining you, making it hard to stay up without help and the pain when it came was crippling in nature.  The nurses quick to get you into a bed and an iv with some pain medication in it for you, something that made you extremely drowsy, despite your fighting it.
“If you need to rest Y/N go ahead. It’s alright.” Hyunggu gives you a soft smile and that is enough to lull you to sleep, something you wouldn’t have done had you known he’d be gone by the time you woke again.
“Here drink some water Y/N it might help. We’re still waiting on some test results, but so far they think you’re just too stressed and it’s negatively affecting your body physically.” Hongseok speaks gently, helping you sit up to drink the water he’s offering. Treating you as if your made of glass, which after they say the effect of these head pains on you seemed rather reasonable. Glancing through the glass wall as you sip on the water to see Changgu speaking to the doctor before returning to you two.
“The doctor said you’re free to go for now. But you have to take it easy for a bit or the headaches get any worse then you need to come back.” Changgu tells you and the two are quick to help you as you practically try to leap from the bed unassisted. Hongseok scolding you under his breath for being reckless with your help you to the car and into a leaned back seat so you could rest.
“Oh wait Hongseok, I forgot to ask what...” Your words die as you turn to look where Hongseok had gotten into the car to see he wasn’t there anymore, “Changgu, everyone else is gone we have to figure out what happened to them before it happens to you too.”
“Oh I already know what happened to everyone else Y/N....after all someone had to be behind it didn’t they?” Changgu’s response is so calm and yet something about his tone of voice is eerie, concerning you and making you feel the need to run.
“W-What is that supposed to mean Changgu?” You stutter hoping this was just a residual of whatever meds they had given to you in the hospital.
“I mean I found a way to get rid of them Y/N. They took too much of your attention and now.....now you can give it all to me. It can be just us two, forever.”

all the time in the world (yanan fluff)
Tumblr media
Genre | Soulmates AU
Pairing | Yanan x Reader
Words | 3.5k
Summary | Ever since you were little, you’d heard about soulmates. You’d been told that there was one person, just a single soul out of the seven billion on the planet, that was meant to join with yours. But how long would it take for you to Connect?
Warnings | None. Just cute stuff. 😊
Note | Wrote this for a request! Also sorry this is not quite up to my usual standards, I blew through it kind of fast lol.
You would never forget the day it happened.
You were tucked away in the library, hunched over the table that sat next to the big window, trying desperately to complete your math homework. But your best friend, Jamie, wouldn’t stop laughing to herself.
“What’s so funny?” You tried not to sound irritated, but her giggles made it really hard for you to focus.
“Sorry,” she spoke quietly, trying to hide her smile. She pointed to her temple, indicating that she was Connecting with her soulmate. “Marcus is being inappropriate.”
“Could you ask him to leave you alone so we can study?”
“Yeah, of course.” She closed her eyes for a second as she concentrated on her telepathic message, and then she nodded. “Done. I told him I’d talk more later.”
“Thank you.” You returned to your math problem, trying not to make it obvious how much you’re struggling with algebra.
“Have you heard anything from your soulmate yet?” Jamie pried. “Do you still try to Connect with them?”
Disheartened, you frown. “Of course I do, but nothing yet. I don’t know if it’ll ever happen.” You send out messages every morning and every night, but you still haven’t managed to Connect.
No one really knows how it works, only that one day the Connection is formed between you and your soulmate, and you’re able to communicate telepathically for the rest of your lives together. Most people start to connect around the time they hit puberty, but on rare occasions the Connection might not happen until you’re both in your thirties or forties.
After your sixteenth birthday a few months ago, you started to think you might be one of those rare cases. You absolutely hated the thought of having to wait that long to find your soulmate, but you didn’t really get a say in the matter. You just had to stay patient.
You wanted to start dating, but everyone around you was already madly in love with their soulmate, which made it impossible to date casually. People thought dating was a waste of time, anyway, since you’d really just be killing time until your soulmate came around.
“Of course it’ll happen. It always does.” Jamie sounded so confident as she comforted you. “Just stay positive.”
With a curt nod, you tried to return to your homework. But now that she’s got you thinking about soulmates...
Are you any good at algebra? You try to Connect. If you are, I could really use your help.
And then you heard it. For the first time in your life, you heard a voice respond:
你在哪?
You completely froze up when you heard him. It was the most beautiful, melancholy voice you had ever heard. What did he just say? What language was that? Everyone always remembers their soulmate’s first words, but how could you ever remember the foreign sounds you just heard?
“Oh my God…” You couldn’t believe it. “Oh my God I just- he just…”
“What?” Jamie looked up from her homework, wide-eyed. “What just happened?”
“I heard him!” You tried to keep your voice down, but that proved to be difficult when you were so full of such raw adrenaline. “There was a voice! He talked to me!”
“Oh my God, _____! What did he say?” Jamie completely lit up, just as ecstatic as you at the good news.
And then your heart sank. “I have no idea. It wasn’t English.”
“Oh,” she breathed, perplexed. “Well that’s… uncommon, but not unheard of. Do you know what it was? What did it sound like?”
“I don’t know… it might have been an Asian language? I’m not really sure. He sounded… sweet. He has a gentle voice.” You smiled just thinking about it. You needed to hear it again.
Hello? You feebly tried to respond. Can you hear me?
A few moments passed, and you were greeted with nothing but silence in return.
“I don’t think he can hear me. I think it was a fluke,” you confess.
“That’s okay! This is still great news!”
She was right. Your smile returned. “It is. It’s fantastic news!”
***
You started hearing from your soulmate multiple times a day. Most of the time it would be just a short phrase, but sometimes the sound of his voice could go on for minutes at a time. You wondered if he was venting to you, and you wished that you could be there for him. You came to love every message you received, even when it interfered with your school work.
Every time you heard him, you tried to respond. Sometimes it felt like you were having a conversation, but more often than not it was obvious that your Connection was one-sided. One-sided Connections were the most common way that Connections started, so you weren’t concerned about that part of it. Sometimes it could be months or years before your Connection fully formed, and that’s what bothered you most.
After taking some time to research Asian languages, you eventually decided that your soulmate must be communicating in Mandarin. Not exactly the easiest language for you to learn, unfortunately, but you’d gladly take on the challenge for your him. You didn’t even hesitate in deciding to learn the language.
Your parents were more than happy to enroll you in an online Mandarin language class, and you studied harder than you ever had in your life to learn your soulmate’s way of speaking. And little by little, you’re able to understand fragments of his messages.
...waiting patiently.
Today… got worse. …better soon.
Where are you?
When it was time to prepare for university, you easily decided to major in Mandarin with the goal of becoming a translator. Learning the language had become your whole life, and you found genuine joy in it.
Fragments became sentences, and you’d lay awake at night just listening to his messages. He obviously had no idea that you lived in a different time zone, but you didn’t mind the late-night broadcasts.
Sometimes they were sweet…
I thought about you a lot today. I wonder if you can hear me. I want so badly to talk to you, but I’ll be patient. I wonder what you’re like, what makes you happy, what passions and interests you have. Recently I’ve been training to sing well. Maybe one day we’ll meet and I can sing for you.
Sometimes they were heartbreaking…
I miss my family. I knew that moving away would be hard, but I’m too busy to ever visit and all I want is to see my parents. I love them so much. I hope this message isn’t a burden for you.
And every night you tried to respond. You tried to tell him that you thought about him too, that you hoped he was doing alright. But he never seemed to hear.
Although you’d come to love the sound of his voice and every single message he sent, you couldn’t help but be frustrated by the lack of personal information he shared. He’d been communicating with you for years, but hadn’t so much as hinted at his name. You asked him for it constantly, even though he couldn’t hear you, and you hoped that one day he would tell you.
***
One morning, you were startled awake by his incredibly ecstatic voice. You couldn’t remember ever being forcefully woken up by him, but his voice was so loud, like he was shouting in your ear.
We did it! We debuted! I just performed my first stage with my members and I am so proud of how far we’ve come! And it was so much fun. I can’t believe we finally made it! Even though we just started, we already have fans. I’m so happy and I just want to perform again!
It was as if the energy he gained from performing had transferred to you, and you suddenly felt wide awake. You jumped out of bed and tore into your roommate’s bedroom, excitedly shouting at her in Mandarin.
“Mingzhu! He’s a singer! That’s what he does! He’s a professional singer!”
Mingzhu screamed in fear at your loud entrance. “_____, I was sleeping! What the hell?”
You fell onto her bed. “This is great news! We can finally figure out who my soulmate is!”
You had met Mingzhu through your university’s Chinese Language and Culture Club, which you joined to help deepen your understanding of Mandarin. Mingzhu grew up in China and fluently spoke Mandarin, and it was hugely helpful to have someone she could practice speaking with. Plus, the two of you had a lot in common and you genuinely enjoyed her friendship.
She was still very connected to her Chinese roots and remained in tune with Asian pop culture. Because of that, you knew she’d be able to help you track down your soulmate, now that you had learned something important about him.
“I’m going to start doing some research to see who just debuted today. Can you help?” You held her hand tightly, hoping to all that is holy that she might agree.
With a sleepy roll of her eyes, she nodded. “Fine. Get me my laptop.”
***
It didn’t take long. You definitely started off on the wrong path by researching Chinese debuts - you didn’t realize that when he talked about moving away from his family, he meant that he moved out of the country. But with Mingzhu’s help, you finally found his group.
They were a ten person Korean boy group named Pentagon. And he was the only Chinese member, Yanan.
And he. Was. Beautiful.
The moment you saw his photo, your heart was overcome with love. He looked just as sweet as he always sounded in your head, with his dark hair, warm eyes, small nose, and gentle smile.
You found their debut performance online and you lost count of how many times you watched it. You were disappointed by Yanan’s lack of screentime, but whenever your gaze latched onto him, your smile could not be contained.
How could you have gotten so lucky?
Of course, there was just a small shred of doubt that it could really be him. It was kind of a guess, after all. But too much of Yanan’s story lined up with what your soulmate has told you, and it just felt so right when you looked at him.
You spent the whole day watching any video content of him you could find, drowning yourself in the reality show that led to Pentagon’s debut. Of course, everything was in Korean instead of Mandarin, and you weren’t always able to find English subtitles, but it didn’t matter. You were in love.
At least, you were as in love as you could be with someone that you’ve never actually met. With someone who still doesn’t know you exist.
Well… there’s only one way to change that.
***
You took your seat in the middle of the crowd, anxious for Pentagon to come on stage for their Runaway comeback recording for Show Champion. It had been over a year since you discovered your soulmate’s identity, and in that time you managed to finish your schooling and save up enough money to fly to Korea. So there you were, in a completely new country, surrounded by people speaking a language that you barely understood, entirely unsure of how you’d get Yanan to notice you… You had no plan, but at the very least you were there. That’s the most you could do, since your Connection still hadn’t formed.
Maybe you could hang around Cube Entertainment’s building to see if you crossed paths? Or maybe you could find a way to sneak backstage?
No, all of those options would make you seem like a total creep, and that’s not the impression you want to make on your soulmate.
The more you thought about it, the more impossible it seemed that you could ever get to him without your Connection.
Yanan, I’m here. You tried desperately to Connect. Yanan, please hear me. Please. I’m here.
There was no response.
Maybe it was dumb of you to come the whole way to Korea before your Connection was complete.
But no matter - all of your worries get wiped away as soon as the boys step on stage.
Suddenly he’s there. He’s right there in front of you. Yanan, your pretty blonde boy, was right there, wearing his hoodie and ripped jeans and looking like a total boyfriend.
Your whole body got hot from head to toe, your fingertips started tingling, and you had the distinct feeling of completely losing your breath. In that moment, you didn’t know if you were feeling something magical because of your Connection or if you were just having a panic attack because everything was suddenly so real.
And then Yanan shook his hand at his side, as if he felt something too.
Yanan, I’m here! You tried again.
No reaction.
The music started. The boys performed. Yanan still didn’t get enough lines, but the ones he got were the most perfect lines in the whole song. His voice was beautiful as ever and he killed the choreography. As the song ended, you were on the verge of tears because of how overwhelmingly happy you felt.
You knew he wouldn’t hear you, but you just had to tell him. Yanan, you did amazingly! You danced so well and you sang beautifully. I am so proud of you and I LOVE YOU! Yanan, I love you!
All of the sudden, Yanan broke out of his ending pose, his calm, confident expression turning into one of total shock.
And then he responded.
Soulmate? Are you there?
You couldn’t control the loud gasp that left your lungs. You can hear me? Yanan, I’m here! I’m in the audience, I’m here!
Yanan looked out over the crowd as if he could find you in the sea of people. Before he could spot you, they were ushered off stage and he was gone, but his voice remained inside your head. I’ll find you. Don’t leave. Please, don’t leave. I need to see you.
You responded. I won’t leave, Yanan. I’m here. Tell me where to find you.
I’ll get my manager to help. I can’t believe this! He sounded so excited. How did you know it was me? How long have you known?
I’ve known you for years, Yanan. You’ve been with me, talking to me for years without even knowing it.
He was quiet for a while, but you stayed patient. You had waited for this long, you can wait another few minutes. When he Connected again, he asked for your name and row number and said that a staff member would come to get you.
It was so unreal to think that it was actually happening. You were really Connected, and you were about to meet the man you’ve grown to love since you first heard his voice six years ago.
Just as he promised, a staff member came to collect you and bring you back to the waiting room. It was no secret that idols had soulmates too, and more often than not their soulmates were just regular people. Most of Pentagon had already publicly Connected, with only Yanan and Wooseok still waiting for their Connections to happen. You knew the fact that Yanan finally Connected would be reason for the rest of the group to celebrate, and you’d be more than welcome to come see all of them.
You were brought back to a small room that was far too full of people. The members were scattered throughout, carrying on while the makeup artists blotted their foreheads and noses.
The staff member that ushered you in pointed off to the left and said something in Korean that you didn’t quite understand, but you didn’t need to know her words. You followed her gesture and your gaze fell on your tall blonde soulmate, who had been watching you from the moment you entered the room.
“Yanan,” you breathed.
Your body grew warm and your fingers tingled again. He was so far away, and yet he was the closest he’d ever been. Your whole body was electric in his presence and you knew he felt the same way.
Is it you? His voice sounded in your head, his eyes widening as they fixated on you.
It’s me. Why were you frozen in place? Why couldn’t you seem to move when every cell in your body ached to touch him?
Yanan broke out of the spell first, a sudden smile coming to his lips as he approached you, laughing. And then he spoke to you out loud for the very first time. “I thought you’d be Chinese. Your Mandarin is very impressive.”
“Thank you.” You felt lightheaded as he reached a hand out for you, and you intertwined your fingers with his, the heat of your Connection flashing up your arm as you finally touched. “I learned it just for you.”
“Really?”
“Of course. All of the sudden I had this Chinese kid talking in my head. I had to figure out what he was saying.” You laughed, and Yanan’s sweet laughter mingled with yours.
With his free hand, he touched your hair, your cheek bones, your jaw, your shoulder. Discovering you and cherishing you. Ingraining the image of his soulmate into the depths of his mind.
“You said you loved me. Is that true?” Yanan’s thumb swept across your cheek, his eyes searching your face.
“I love you with all of my heart, Yanan. I’ve loved you for years.” It was way too easy for you to confess. Being with him just felt so right. You had nothing to hide. “But don’t worry, I don’t expect you to love me right away. We’re soulmates, but love still takes time.”
By that point, the others in the room had started to notice what was going on, and they all stood in giddy anticipation. Kino shouted something in Korean, and Hui smacked his arm, lecturing him for whatever he said. Yanan’s face grew red and he responded in a flustered way.
“What did he say?” you asked. “I don’t know Korean.”
“You don’t?” He frowned, realizing that you really were as foreign as you appeared. “You’re not from here, are you.”
You shook your head. “I came from the other side of the world to see you. This is my first time in Korea.”
“How long will you be here?”
“I can only stay for another week and a half. But we’ll work something out until I can move here.”
“You’d move here for me?” Yanan seemed a little bewildered yet concerned that you were so ready to uproot your life for him.
Sternly, you responded, “Of course! You’re my soulmate! I’d do anything for you.”
Hongseok spoke up just then, and the other members laughed at his comment, Yanan included.
“What are they saying?” You smiled and squeezed his hand. “Tell me!”
“Hongseok said ‘They’re already bickering, they must really be soulmates.’” Yanan pulled you into an unexpected hug as he chuckled, and you eagerly wrapped your arms around his waist.
You listened to the gentle beating of his heart and truly felt like you were home. “And Kino? What did he say?”
You could feel Yanan’s hesitance to respond, but he translates eventually. “He said, ‘Just kiss her already!’”
Your heart fluttered at the words, and you pulled away to look up at him. “Yeah, that would be nice.”
“You’re a little spitfire, aren’t you.” He cupped your face with a wild grin. “I like that.”
“You better.” You grinned, too. “You’re stuck with me, after all.”
With a chuckle, he leaned down and pressed his lips to yours, officially sealing your Connection. Warmth flowed through you and peaceful energy radiated from you, bathing the room in a calm aura.
When you parted, he murmured, “I’m sorry that you had to wait for me for so long. I can’t wait to learn everything about you.”
“We’re in no rush. We have all the time in the world.”

Yanan: Honey
Anonymous asked: im not sure if you requests are open for all groups, but you’re one of my fav writers so if they are, could you maybe consider writing a yanan story in which he asks his gf to take his virginity? i find the idea cute since he hasnt actually dated ever :)
Tumblr media
Characters: Yanan x female reader
Genre/warnings: idol au, lots of fluff, smut (it’s super vanilla and a lil awkward), extra shy n blushy Yanan !!!!
Word count: 1,789
Summary: Yanan’s not really experienced at all, but he’s sure he wants to learn from the person he loves and trusts the most: you.
a/n: look I know I said I’m not a request blog anymore but this one was in my drafts from when I took requests and I didn’t wanna get rid of it and now I miss Yanan a lot and I wanted to finish it
The afternoon was perfect. The light streaming in through the window gave everything a warm glow that just made you feel even happier than you already were with your boyfriend laying on top of you as you lazily made out with each other, your hands moving through his hair as he giggled against your lips every few seconds. Nobody was at the dorm so everything was quiet and it was just the two of you for once. You were sure things couldn’t get any better than this.
“_____?” Yanan’s voice was small when he pulled away from the kiss, his lips swollen and his face flushed. It had taken a while for him to even be comfortable making out with you so you weren’t surprised he seemed so flustered now. “C-can we go...t-to my room, maybe?”
You could tell this clearly had deeper meaning behind it, but it took a few seconds for you to realize, your eyebrows raising. You knew Yanan had never dated anybody before you, let alone been intimate with anybody, so you were both surprised and honored that he wanted to do this -- if that really was what he was implying.
“Are you sure?” you asked, wanting to know if he really meant what you thought he did.
“Of course I’m sure,” he smiled shyly. “I love you, and I trust you.”
So you both got up, and you led the way to Yanan’s room. Even though he said he was ready, he was definitely still a little nervous, but he knew you’d help him through it and tell him what to do if he did get a little lost. He knew enough about sex to know that different people liked different things, and he knew the only way to figure your body out was to just do it. He just hoped he didn’t make things awful for you.
You resumed your previous actions that you were doing on the couch, but you could tell Yanan was more nervous this time. His hands were shakier as they moved across your body, and his movements weren’t as sure even though this was what you were doing not even three minutes ago. But you understood, because you were nervous during your first time, too.
You took Yanan’s hands and brought them to the hem of your shirt, sliding his hands up under it and over your bare stomach until he got the hint. He’d put his hands up under your shirt before, and he’d seen you in a bathing suit all of a single time, but taking off your shirt? Seeing you in a bra? For some reason, that made him nervous and excited at the same time. But he carried on with what you wanted, removing your shirt as you lifted your arms to help him.
Yanan couldn’t help but stare, his face flushed a bright pink. You just looked so perfect how you were underneath him, and he wasn’t sure how he’d gotten so lucky. But it also made him more nervous because he wanted to make this good for you, too.
“Stop staring,” you giggled, actually starting to feel a little shy under his wondrous gaze.
“Sorry,” he said quietly, closing his eyes as his smile reached them. “I didn’t realize...”
Getting both you and Yanan undressed with an adventure on its own. Yanan was absolutely blown away by your body and became way too distracted to take off his own clothes, so you had to do most of the work. You thought it was cute, though, how enamored with you and flustered Yanan was.
Since Yanan wasn’t very experienced, it didn’t take too much to get him hard. When you first started dating, making out with him would get to him, but you never teased him or pointed it out because you knew he was shy. Obviously, he’d gotten over that, but just a little bit of touching seemed to do the trick this time. It was adorable how blushy he got while it happened and how he bit his lip trying to not make too much sound.
“We’re alone, you know,” you reminded him. “You can be as loud as you want to.”
“What if I...sound weird?” he asked.
You giggled quietly, brushing his hair out of his face, “You won’t, don’t worry. But do whatever makes you comfortable.”
Yanan had never done anything sexual with you, so when you had started to bring his hand down lower as he kissed you, you could feel his hesitation. You pulled away, looking up into his eyes.
“You don’t have to,” you told him, “it just makes it easier when you...y’know.”
“N-no, I want to,” he insisted, “I just don’t know...how...to like, make you...feel good...”
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you,” you promised with a soft smile. “Just put your middle finger in like this.”
You slowly guided Yanan’s hand, biting your lip as you watched the rest of his fingers curl to put his middle finger inside you. Yanan kept his eyes on his own hand, something about seeing his digit disappear inside you making him impossibly hard.
“Then just move it in and out like this,” you set a steady pace for him, moving his hand for him, “a-and rub my clit with your thumb.”
Yanan did exactly as you said, his cheeks turning hot when he heard the soft noises he could pull from you. He added another finger when you told him you wanted more, and he curled them just as you said to.
“R-right there,” you breathed, your head falling back as you let Yanan do things himself. “Fuck, you’re doing so good, honey.”
Yanan couldn’t help but smile a little at the praise you gave him, moving his hand at a quicker pace. Your hips squirmed as he stretched you out with his fingers, just like you told him how to do. You had to admit, your boyfriend was definitely a quick learner.
You stopped Yanan’s hand before you could cum, grabbing his wrist and stilling his movements. He gave you a confused look.
“I want you inside me now,” you whispered to him, grinning at how quickly his face turned beet red at your words.
Yanan, being the responsible boyfriend he was, had prepared for this moment just in case. He kept a box of condoms in his nightstand, and grabbed one before he sat himself between your legs. He’d seen this done enough times, but when he actually pushed in, he was sure his mind would go blank and he wouldn’t be sure what to do.
“Do you want me to do that for you?” you offered.
“I can do it,” he replied in a mousy voice, tearing the foil open and rolling the condom down his length.
He took a deep breath before lining himself up with your entrance and slowly pushing in. The warmth of your walls and how tight you were around him had him letting out a shaky breath, squeezing his eyes closed to try not to cum on the spot. It was so much better than he’d ever imagined.
“Are you okay?” you asked, seeing the look on his face.
“Y-yeah, just...gimme a second,” he murmured, staying still where he was buried inside you, trying to control himself. Once he was sure he could move, his hips moved slowly, rolling into yours.
You reached up, putting your hand on the back of his neck and pulling him down to you for a kiss. His lips muffled the sounds of both of your quiet moans, and you couldn’t help but smile into the kiss because he was letting himself make the noises you wanted to hear.
He pulled away but let his forehead rest against yours as he continued to thrust his hips at a steady pace. His eyes locked with yours, and he looked so innocent in that moment. But his eyes didn’t show nervousness or confusion like he was lost, but like he was just looking at you with so much love, and like he was suddenly sure of what he was doing.
“You can go faster if you want to,” you whispered.
“I-I can?” he stuttered a little, and you weren’t sure if it was because he was actually still nervous, or if it was because he was feeling a lot of pleasure. “Are you sure?”
You nodded, “Trust me, I’ll be okay.”
Yanan’s hips sped up slowly, and he let out a quiet whimper as his lips pressed into a thin line, his eyes closing again. You just felt so good wrapped around him that he couldn’t focus on anything else. Something in him just wanted to thrust into you as quickly as he could, but he was afraid of hurting you even though you were the experienced one. So he did things as you told him to.
You moved one of his hands down to your clit, and he immediately got the hint. His fingers rubbed circles into your clit while your lips attached to his neck. You knew where you could leave marks, and where you couldn’t -- you’d learned that a while ago -- so you were still careful with that. Between the feeling of you sucking hickeys into his skin, and hearing how you moaned and whined out his name, Yanan was sure he wasn’t going to last much longer. Was that something he should tell you? Or was that weird?
Thankfully, you breathed out, “I-I’m close.”
“Me too,” he whimpered, biting his lip.
“Please, Yanan,” you begged, “harder.”
Earlier, Yanan had asked to double check that you were sure, but now he wanted nothing more than to go harder. He wasted no time picking up speed, snapping his hips into you as he let out a high moan. It didn’t take much longer for him to release into the condom, moaning out your name as he continued to rock his hips into you, riding out his orgasm and bringing you to yours.
Feeling you clench around him as you came was probably the best feeling ever in Yanan’s mind. He groaned again, his head falling into the crook of your neck as your hips swiveled up into his until your orgasm died down. He stayed where he was, laying on top of you as you both tried to catch your breath and gather your thoughts. One of your hands lightly moved up and down Yanan’s bare and sweaty back with the other combed through his hair that had fallen into his eyes.
“Did I do okay...?” Yanan finally asked, not wanting to lift his head to look at you.
You smiled to yourself, just staring up at the ceiling, “You did amazing, honey.”

Piano - Yanan
Tumblr media
(Admin: Sxng, I love this China boy)
You knock on the door again more hurried this time. The warmth of your tears contrasts with the chill on your skin from where the rain hit you. You silently beg him to just open the door already. Yanan is the only person you could think to turn to in this situation. The door finally opens his annoyed expression completely disappearing, his eyes widening instead upon seeing you soaked from the rain.
“Get inside, Y’N,” Yanan closes the door behind you once you’re inside, “take a shower, I’ll give you some clothes to put on, you can’t get sick,” he murmurs hurriedly moving towards his bedroom.
He guides you as well in the same direction, his arm resting on the small of your back. The heat from his hand is comforting compared to how cold your clothes are against your skin. He drops his hand going into his bedroom telling you to take a shower that there are towels in the cabinet. You hum stumbling into the bathroom your head still heavy from the earlier events. You listen to him, getting into the shower letting out a content sigh when the warm water hits your skin. Once you get out you wrap a towel around yourself stepping out of the bathroom and going to your friend's room, he hands you clothes to put on you thank him while he is stepping out of the room.
You change into the clothes before going out of his room seeing him sitting at the piano in his living room. You sit down on the floor next to him.
“Do you want to tell me what happened?” Yanan inquires softly.
“Can you play me a song?” You murmur dropping your head, “and, can I stay here, for a while?”
Yanan hums he starts to play a familiar piece on the piano. The same one he always plays when you are upset when something goes wrong. Yanan knows you best, he has seen you through every down in your life, this one is no different, he is still the only person you ever turn to. The song, you never learned the name of it, but the melody is soothing, it might just be because Yanan is playing it that you find it is soothing. You press the palms of your hands into the floor behind you leaning back to watch him. When the song ends he turns towards you.
“Did something happen at home?” He inquires, you hum, “your dad again?” He says heavily, you hum again.
“He convinced my mom to kick me out,” you sigh, “I’m not the heir anymore,” you murmur biting your lip, “not like I wanted to do it anyway, but I don’t know anything else,” you say with a dry laugh.
Yanan slides off of the bench he is sitting on, onto the floor with you. He scoots closer to you resting his hand on the small of your back, rubbing comforting circles.
“You know a lot of things,” he mutters, “you can stay with me, and find what you really want to do, maybe this is for the best, Y’N,” he says hopefully before putting his hand onto the floor pulling himself to his feet.
He holds out his hand for you to take, which you do stumbling to your feet.
“Thank you, Yanan,” you say softly, “you’ve always been so good to me,” you say with a soft laugh.

Only You ♡

aquarium date with yanan 🐟
Tumblr media
The chilly breeze blew across your cheek, giving you a small chill. You pulled the sleeves of your sweater down over your hands, keeping them close to your body as you walked down the sidewalk. It was the end of autumn, and winter was about to begin. It was starting to become sweater weather, which was really just cuddle weather. Your boyfriend Yanan was the perfect cuddler, especially when it was this time of year.
It had been awhile since you had seen him, so he had suggested to take the day off and just spend it together, which made your stomach fill with butterflies, all of them flying around vigorously in anticipation and excitement. You knew that it didn't really matter what you were doing, if it was with him then it'd be the best time of your life.
This particular date was a secret, though, which made it all even more exciting. With each step you took, you felt even more nervous. For the date, partly, but you just wanted to see him and hug him since it had been so long. You loved him so much, that just being away from him for even a day was too long.
You checked the time on your phone as you continued to walk along the busy street, on your way to the coffee shop that you were going to meet him at so he could take you to the "secret date location." Yanan didn't seem like the spontaneous type when you first met him, but he was always keeping you on your toes by planning little dates to do with you that were kept hidden from you so you went in blindly. But, it was fun. Not knowing what you were going to do that day with him felt thrilling. Him having the job he does didn't make it easy for you two to do things all the time, so whenever you would get together, it made it even more special.
The time on your phone read 11:57 am, 3 minutes before the time you said you'd be at the coffee shop. As you looked up, you saw the building you were meeting him at and immediately recognized the boy sitting at one of the outside tables. Your heart sped up but your feet slowed down, almost like you were afraid to make him move from his position. He was sitting in the black metal chair, one arm resting on the back and the other holding his phone up. He looked so serious and straight faced, so handsome. It didn't last long though, you assumed he could feel you staring, as he looked up and saw you, a wide bright smile appearing on his face.
He slid his phone into his pocket and walked to you, enveloping you into a firm hug. The muscles in his arms stiffened around you, pulling you as close as he could against him. In the midst of the crisp breeze, all you could feel was his warmth. You let out the breath you were holding, a sigh of relief knowing you were back in his arms again. You rested your cheek against his chest, his heartbeat echoing in your ear. You pouted a little as he pulled away to look at you, missing the warmth of his body against yours. "I missed you." He said sweetly, smiling down at you. He kept one hand on your forearm as he looked at you, not breaking eye contact.
He slid his hand down softly, letting it fall into yours and intertwining your fingers as you stood on that street outside the coffee shop. But, before you could say anything in response, he gripped your hand tighter than before and pulled you, leading you down the street. "Where are we going?" You raised your voice, unsure if he could hear you with all the traffic going on. "So many questions!" He responded, keeping a tight grip on your hand as you two made your way to wherever he was planning on taking you. "That's literally the only question I've asked!" You couldn't help but laugh at how he was behaving, you missed him so much.
After the two of you crossed an intersection, you were now walking side by side, hand in hand, down the busy sidewalk to the unknown. You were going to keep pressing about where you were going, but you figured that he's not the type to give up so easy, so you just went along for the ride, or walk, and just enjoyed being in his company.
After about 15 minutes of walking, you looked up and saw where exactly he was taking you: the aquarium. You rested your cheek against his arm and smiled, squeezing his hand. "You're taking me to the aquarium. You are so adorable!" You giggled and walked in front of him, swaying your hands with his in excitement. "Yeah, I mean, I thought it'd be fun. I'm glad you're happy." He gripped your hands and pulled you a little closer, keeping your hands up and swaying back and forth with the chilly breeze. "Of course I'm happy. You know as long as I'm with you, I'll always be happy. Let's go inside!" You walked back to his side and walked into the building hand in hand with him.
It was such a beautiful sight; different hues of blue bounced off the walls, dozens of huge tanks holding all sorts of colorful, vibrant fish. Little kids were smiling so big as they saw all the fish up close, pulling on their mothers' hands to get them to explore everything they could. The atmosphere was just so bright and happy.
After Yanan bought your passes to see everything, you began to walk around with him, taking it all in. "They are so beautiful," you whispered as you gazed into the tank with the fish that were colored like a sunset. "I can tell you what's more beautiful...you." You laughed aloud and hit him softly on his arm, feeling your cheeks start to heat up. "Would you stop?" you shook your head, a smile plastered to your face as you continued to look at all the aquatic life swimming around behind the glass.
After awhile, it was time to get to see some sea animals up close, which you were the most excited for. Yanan, not so much. "It's not like they're going to rip your face off or something. They're penguins, not sharks." You didn't want him to miss out on something like this because you knew he'd regret not trying. Trying to reason with him was hard sometimes, though. "You never know. Watch: now that you said that it'll actually happen. Take a good look at this handsome face because it won't be there forever." "You're being dramatic. Nothing will happen, not while I'm there. I'll fight a penguin if it tries to hurt you, for real." You were joking, obviously, but it brought light to his worries and made him laugh, easing him a little.
You walked through a door leading to the penguin habitat and you couldn't hold in your squeal of excitement. "They are so adorable, look at them!" You gripped Yanan's hand as you got closer, reassuring him you were right there with him. As the person working there was talking about all the information about that specific type of penguin, you kept your hand intertwined with Yanan's, using your other hand to rub up and down his arm to comfort him. He smiled slightly, gripping your hand tighter without looking at you.
After he was done talking, he let everyone there know that you'd be feeding them, so you were handed a small bucket filled with small fish to share with him. As you moved closer to the penguins, you saw that he was actually smiling, and it made your heart warm. He carefully and slowly gave a fish to a penguin, cautious of his actions. The penguin didn't really care about what was happening really, all he cared about was he was getting fed. You side-hugged Yanan, just feeling so happy in that moment. You were feeding penguins with him! You couldn't believe it.
After feeding all the penguins you two could, and eventually running out of fish for them, you made your way back to the main part of the aquarium to look at more fish and other animals. "I'm proud of you," you leaned against him, letting his arm wrap around your shoulder as you two walked. "It was actually really fun. I'm glad I did it. And I'm glad you were there with me."
Before you were going to leave, you spotted a sign that read, "Great Barrier Reef Tunnel" making you stop dead in your tracks. "It's the tunnel! We have to go through it!" You pulled him along until you got to the entrance, when you stopped walking and stood still in shock. The sight before you was a beauty beyond words; a huge tunnel of different colored fish and other animals in all directions, swimming above and around you. The water was the most vibrant blue and it looked like you could just stick your hand in and go swimming with them.
As you walked further, you couldn't keep your attention on just one thing; your head was constantly turning, trying to see every detail you could. It was unreal. You felt a soft, warm hand lock with yours, shifting your gaze from the fish to Yanan's eyes. You were both smiling, unspoken words of happiness shared between the two of you with just one look. Your heart began to race as you noticed him moving in closer to you, erasing the empty space between you. His hand that wasn't holding yours held your cheek, his thumb delicately moving the strands of hair that had fallen on your face. You could've sworn you saw his eyes twinkle as he smiled, and then his lips met yours. You closed your eyes and pushed yourself into him, leaving no space left between you and him. Your whole body got warm as his arms wrapped around you, pushing you against his chest firmly. You smiled into the kiss as you rested your hands on either side of his waist, his pillowy lips moving tenderly against yours.
It didn't last as long as you wanted, and you involuntarily pouted slightly as he pulled away, resting his forehead on yours. He kept his hand on your cheek and kept his eyes closed as he let his heart rate go back to normal. "I love you," he whispered it so softly, that if you were any further away from him, you wouldn't have heard it. But, you did. You were never more sure of anything than you were in that moment, and without hesitation, you said it, too.

September - Yanan (pt. 1)
This is something I’ve been working on for a while - since January this year to be exact. During the last months this story has grown very dear to me, and I thought I wanted to share it here! ~Admin Salty
Part 1 out of 3; ~ 4.9k words
[Part 2]; [Part 3]
Tumblr media
It was unusually warm that day. With too many layers of clothing on my body and way too many books in my bag and hands, I sprinted up the stairs to platform B. Little did I expect someone to stand in my way up there, and I was quite the idiot for not seeing someone as tall and broad as that, but my stressed mind along with my aching legs and overall very sweaty and overheated body did not manage to hit the brakes in time, so I crashed head first into him. Now, it didn’t quite go like in the movies, according to which we would have both had to land on the ground, books and loose pages of my notes scattered everywhere around us and – depending on the genre – possibly one on top of the other. Instead, I just literally crashed into him, my face involuntarily buried in his chest, and the edges of the books in my hand probably made some sort of very uncomfortable contact with his side. Even so, he didn’t complain, didn’t harshly tell me to be more careful, and he also didn’t react to the pain I must’ve surely inflicted on him somewhere on his body. Instead, he calmly placed his hands on my shoulders and took a step back, scanning my flustered and beet-red face with something that almost seemed like a fond smile, and then spoke in a voice I could’ve sworn I had heard somewhere before.
“Are you okay?”
“Am I okay?! I’m the one who crashed into you! I should ask if you are okay!” I immediately retorted, to which he chuckled. Quite adorably at that. But I really had no time to swoon over a stranger currently, as my train would arrive in half a minute. “I’m terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Is your side okay?”
“It’s okay,” he assured and I was ready to run past him.
“Then I’m glad! I am really very sorry but… my train,” I pointed at the wagons rattling into the station with my chin and he understood within a second.
“Sure. Good luck to you.” With that I took off. I arrived at the city at the usual time, rushing to college from the main station and finding myself a quiet spot before I had to get to class to take that test in the subject I loathed so much. Nobody’s interested in business maths anyway, why couldn’t they just remove it from the curriculum and make the lives of many students a lot easier…? The words the stranger had said to me earlier came back to mind. “Good luck to you.” Did he know I needed a huge portion of that today? I caught myself wondering. No, that’s impossible. It’s probably just a habit of his. I shook my head frantically, trying to rid my mind of all thoughts other than those related to the subject in question.
Yeah right… as if someone would just wish good luck to a random stranger they never even met before.
The exam went by, my friends had their usual mental breakdown and I played my usual role as the mom of the group, comforting them as best as I could. After that, when they would finally release me for a few minutes to run to the bathrooms, it was my turn to freak out. And I didn’t expect to break down crying the moment I entered an empty stall, but I did. I couldn’t even answer half the questions, and many of the ones I did answer were for sure utterly wrong. If I failed this semester… I didn’t even want to think about how my parents would react. Other than them throwing me out of course – the most logical outcome. After all, they had threatened my brothers multiple times to put them on the street if they didn’t at least get a 2.0 on their finals. Yeah, my parents were that kind of people. I’d bet they didn’t even get grades that good themselves back when they were in school. But back to myself. I was still crying in the ladies’ toilets, when I heard a bunch of people come in, who I’d rather not they heard me. So I suppressed my sobs to the highest of my abilities and took out my phone to check if my face was red and all bloated. And boi was I not surprised. I looked like I had fallen face first into a field of poison ivy, and the thought of that even made me giggle a little. I decided to wait it out until the others had left for their next class. Now that I had already disappointed my parents’ expectations once today, I could just as well disappoint them a second time and be late to class. So I waited.
The bunch of women very noisily exited the bathroom well after the bell rang, and I finally dared to come out of my hiding place. Looking at myself in the sloppily cleaned mirror, I wasn’t sure if I should laugh or cry at how awful my face still looked. Instead of choosing either of these options, I turned on the cold water and splashed some of it into my face. Repeating that procedure a few times, I decided it wouldn’t get any better than this and dried my skin with the paper towels placed on top of the empty spender. This was the 30th of September.
On October 2nd I made my way to the station, still tired from a day of hard work. It was Wednesday, meaning I had had to help out my grandparents at their store the day before, and for a change I welcomed the opportunity, as it meant I could spend a whole day avoiding my parents and their nosy questions about my coursework. I let out a deep sigh when I reached the top of the platform, cursing whoever thought making the stairs this high was a good idea.
“So you’re not going to attempt hugging me today?” A familiar voice tore me out of my gloomy thoughts and I whirled around, only to find the tall guy from two days ago leaning against a wall next to me.
“You’re still here?” I questioned, earning a laugh from him. Before answering, he turned his head to the ground shyly.
“Sure. I stayed here for a whole two nights and didn’t move.” Feeling slightly offended by his sarcasm, I knitted my eyebrows.
“Well-! That’s not what I-“ I stopped there, assuming I couldn’t save myself from looking like an idiot. He laughed again, this time with his head lifted up, but still not daring to make eye contact.
“Hey, I’m still wearing the same coat as two days ago – anyone could assume I haven’t gone home to at least change my clothes in the meanwhile.” I scanned him from head to toe, very much pissed off by his easy-going demeanor.
“You’re wearing different pants though,” I pointed out after thorough consideration, followed by the realization that I couldn’t look anymore stupid than I made myself look with that.
“Oh! You noticed,” he commented. While I nodded my head, the embarrassment from two days ago came creeping up on me once again and I placed myself to his other side, where I wouldn’t stand in the way of any people blindly running up the stairs.
“Ummm…” I started speaking, but a second later I wasn’t sure if I really should.
“Ummm?” he repeated, now wearing a curious expression. “What is it?”
“…nevermind. I need to get going.” With this attempt to end the conversation, I wanted to walk off, but was held back by his voice calling out to me.
“Y/N, wait!” As I turned around startled, he slapped his hand over his mouth, looking at least as much in shock as I was.
“…why do you know my name?”
As he slowly let his hand sink back to a resting position, his facial features too relaxed, then changed into a serious expression.
“You. Why do you know who I am?” I repeated my question, unsure if I should freak out or be genuinely amazed. Probably both.
“We’ve… talked before,” he said.
“No, we haven’t?” I wouldn’t forget such a handsome face.
“Yes, we have. You just can’t remember it.”
“Really? Where? And when?” I asked, but received no answer. I crossed my arms and let out a sigh. “Are you stalking me?”
“What? No!” This time, the answer came immediately.
“Then what?”
“It’s… not that simple…” I raised an eyebrow as I watched him sort out whatever internal battle he was very obviously facing at the moment, as the distress was written clearly all over his face. In the meanwhile, I had time to think and figure out if it was time to run and call the police, or if I could trust that man enough to play with him for a while.
“You,” I called out when I had made my decision. “So you know my name, fine. But I don’t know yours. Mind sharing it with me?” His expression changed immediately. No traces of his earlier distress were left, instead, there was positive surprise written in his face, and relief in his brown eyes, that still refused to look into mine properly. It took him a while to process what just happened, but then he answered, his voice calmer than before.
“Yanan.”
Thursday afternoon. I got back from college early to meet Yanan at the station’s café. I had given him time overnight to think of a reason as to why he knew my name without me telling him, so arriving at our destination, my curiosity had grown bigger than my fear. It was a little creepy, but we were meeting up in a public space, so nothing bad would happen, would it?
When I arrived there, he was already standing next to the café’s glass door, awaiting me with a gentle smile. A thought crossed my mind upon seeing him like that. A person who is capable of making a face like that would never ever even hurt a fly. I reminded myself quickly not to let my guard down and brushed the thought away, then he greeted me before I could.
“How are you feeling today?” he asked while holding open the door for me, gesturing I should walk in first.
“Curious,” I answered briefly and automatically walked over to my usual table at the backside window. We both took off our jackets we wouldn’t have really needed to wear today in the first place, and put them on the backrests of our chairs in quite similar manners. After receiving our drinks – we both settled for different kinds of tea – I signaled Yanan he could start with his explanations.
“I just happened to pass by your store one day and saw your nametag,” he said, seeming quite sure of himself, but I didn’t buy it.
“Give me a different reason,” I demanded, taking a sip of my hot tea, almost burning my tongue as a result.
“But that’s the real reason.”
“It sounds boring. We met in such an unconventional way, there has to be some kind of shocking backstory!” I said and he almost snorted, looking out of the window in a very princely manner, seeming nearly divine. I mustered his jawline and side profile, almost getting lost in the beauty this man radiated, then he looked back at me and I quickly averted my gaze.
“…what?” he chuckled at me.
“Nothing,” I dismissed. “Just give me some exciting backstory. Why do you know my name?” He leaned forward slowly, supporting his elbows on the table while crossing his fingers.
“You want an exciting backstory?” I nodded once. “No matter how ridiculous?” I nodded a second time. “Then listen to me, Y/N. I will only say it once.” I leaned forward as well, mimicking his position and peering at him, squinting slightly in concentration.
“Then tell me,” I said.
“I’m actually from the past,” he started. I picked up my cup and leaned back into the comfortably cushioned chair.
“Oh?”
“But I’m also from the future.” I raised an eyebrow in confusion. “Actually, I’m not sure where exactly I’m from, all I know is…” Yanan hesitated for a while, looking to the ground, his pupils wandering restlessly, searching for the right words to say. “All I know is that we’ve met before, we’ve had this exact conversation before, everything I’m telling you now I have told you before.”
“Then why can’t I remember?”
“Because it happened in a different timeline.” I giggled.
“A different timeline?”
“Exactly.” He gave me a nod, along with a determined expression on his face. “All of this happened before, but in a different timeline.”
“So you’re like… from a parallel universe?” I asked.
“Yes,” he confirmed.
“Then where is the real Yanan from this universe?”
“I am the real Yanan. There is only one of me.” Now I almost burst out laughing.
“That doesn’t make sense! Because if there are multiple universes, then there have to be multiple versions of every person as well, right?”
“Correct.”
“Then why are you special?” Silence. And a look out the window similar to the one he had before, but this time the atmosphere got sad for some reason.
“I… really don’t know…” he silently stated.
“Hey! Don’t look like that! I was just messing with you,” I explained, laughing, resulting in him turning back to me, wearing a somewhat helpless expression. “That story was a good one though. I might stick with this, unless you can come up with a better one!”
“Ah… I’m glad you liked it, I guess…” I watched as his hand reached out for his tea, lifting it up to have his other hand support the cup while he brought it to his lips, graced with a faint smile. After that we talked about ourselves a little bit. He told me he was visiting his family here, because it was his aunt’s 60th birthday, and he was forced to attend her party – not that he minded – and I somehow ended up talking about my studies and how I was afraid to tell my parents about having most likely failed my exam, but I stopped my rambles halfway through, assuming no person I had only just met would be interested in knowing my most inner feelings. We changed topic again and ended up talking about this and that, surprisingly enjoying ourselves in the presence of one another. I noticed how he tended to get flustered at the most random of times, and how he would duck away in an attempt to hide, contrary to his usual image of a confident, handsome young man. I also rather quickly caught on to his habit of brushing his red dyed hair back, leading to a brief conversation on why he decided to dye it in the first place, when it would be far more convenient to just keep it in its natural dark tone. By the time I looked at my phone to check the time, only to discover five missed calls from my by then very angry mother, the sun had set, and only few people were left around us in the café. After getting yelled at on the phone for a felt hour (which really was just a few minutes), I excused myself, bowing deeply to him, even though he assured he understood, and that we exchanged numbers anyway so we could meet again soon. Still I felt a little bad for leaving so suddenly, and despite knowing my mother wasn’t even half done yelling, there was only one thought hanging over my head when I walked home that night. All the way through the evening together with Yanan, he hadn’t properly looked me in the eyes even once.
When I returned home that day, I received my expected scolding. My mother welcomed me with no other words than the usual “Where have you been so long?” As I let her lecture me about practically bringing disgrace upon the family when I didn’t respect my parents and spent my free time with anything but studying, I glanced over at the old clock hanging above our stove, that was visible from where I stood in the middle of the living room, looking through the open door connecting this room to the kitchen. A quarter past eight. As per usual, she had gotten rid of most of her frustrations by the end of the shouting session, and after letting out a long, deep sigh, she told me to come eat the dinner she had kept warm for me. I grudgingly followed her to the kitchen table, where she sat down next to me and stared off into space for a good five minutes while I consumed my food, making sure to thank her for it and tell her it was delicious as always.
“So… what were you up to anyway? When you have the nerve to come home late, at least tell me what kept you away for so long,” she demanded without looking at my face.
“I just… met with a friend and we talked.” My mother raised an eyebrow.
“Since when do you meet your friends so late? Was it the one from your old school? Or the girl that helped you in that maths class?” Upon the mention of that dreaded subject, a shudder ran down my spine. Praying she wouldn’t ask how the exam went, I made sure to answer quickly.
“It was someone else.”
“Who?” She gave me a strict look. “Don’t make me so curious!”
“Um a young man I met… a while ago.”
“Oh?” Now genuine interest was written on her face. “What’s his name?”
“He told me to call him Yanan.”
“Yanan?” my mother repeated the name and sunk into thought. “That makes him sound like an interesting person. Y/N… are you thinking about… finding a man to marry?”
“No, mom!” I warded her off. “We just get along, that’s all. Plus, he’s really weird.”
“Weird? How come?”
“Well, he…” I hesitated. If I told her about this, she would surely disagree with me becoming friends with him. But her peering stare was telling me that I couldn’t get out of explaining now, so I decided to try and make him seem good first. “Well, first of all, he’s very tall and handsome.”
“Oh, good genes, huh?”
“Y-yes. And he’s a real gentleman. He made sure to hold the door open for me, and he would’ve almost payed for my tea.”
“I hope you didn’t let him?”
“I didn’t, mom.”
“So, what makes him weird then?” she asked. With a bad feeling in my guts, I answered.
“He said something about coming from the future and the past? I don’t know, it was probably just some weird joke…” My mother sat up straight, with a look on her face that ranged from deep confusion to utter disgust.
“Why would he say such a thing?”
“I’m not sure either. As I said, it was probably just a joke,” I tried calming her down, but got only a shake of her head in return.
“Well, you’re the one who has to deal with him… so long as you two just stay friends it should be fine.” I knew she’d be like that…
“Sure, I’m not aiming for more,” I briefly stated and got up, carrying my dishes to the sink. “I will be in my room, I still have some studying to do.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” My mother stood up as well and approached me from behind, putting her hand on my head and stroking my hair affectionately. I had to suppress a shiver and the need to slap away her hand, so I let it happen to avoid hurting her feelings. Then I ran off and locked the door to my room behind me.
It was the weekend. I called my grandparents right in the morning to ask if I should help in the shop later on. Luckily, my grandma said they weren’t expecting too many customers today, so they wouldn’t need my help, meaning I could spend the day at home, studying to make sure I wouldn’t fail the repeat exam. Yeah, the whole class had done so badly at the maths exam that we got a chance to take it again in a week’s time. I, too, had failed with a ridiculously low score, so this time I would give it my all to make sure I’d pass and spare myself having to tell my parents that I failed a class. So right after having breakfast together with them and my brothers, I went back to my room to dedicate the whole day to business mathematics. Which, truth be told, wasn’t the most thrilling way to spend a Saturday, but what could I do? And while I was trying to understand the calculations in my book and use my newly acquired skills to solve the problems at the end of each chapter, I kept catching my mind wandering off to somewhere else more and more with each passing hour. I allowed myself to glance at my phone to see if maybe he had texted me, but mentally slapped myself back to studying. I also kept remembering our lengthy conversation a few days ago and smiled when his little habits I noticed played out in front of my inner eye. After realizing I had been staring off into the corner of my room for about ten minutes now, grinning like an idiot, I shook my head violently. Why am I thinking so much about this Yanan guy…? Once again I glanced at my phone, heart full of hope for but a few seconds. There are no notifications… right? Letting the devil on my right shoulder win, I grabbed my phone to check. And really, there was nothing, aside from a notice for a new video by my favourite youtuber – which I had already watched – and ten new people liking my recent Weibo post. But nothing else. I sighed. Should I text him…? While contemplating on that, my eyes returned to my notes and the textbook, resulting in me wanting to punch myself. No, I should not! I need to stu-
In that moment, I received a message, by none other than Yanan himself. Clenching my phone with both hands now, I opened it.
“Hello, Y/N! I hope your weekend started well. I have some spare time on my hands, so I wanted to ask if you’d like to meet up? I know it’s very short-term, so I understand if you have other plans…”
When I was about to automatically text back that I couldn’t make it, I stopped myself before hitting the send-button. While a huge part of me knew I should rather spend my time studying, there was also this tiny voice at the back of my head that told me I could use a break, and I wanted to see him again. In the end I gave in.
We settled on meeting near the station, as it was easiest to reach for both of us, and when I arrived there, the tall red-haired man, warmly wrapped into his beige coat, was already awaiting me.
“Y/N, you look tired,” he greeted me and I couldn’t but nod. “Did anything happen?”
“Business mathematics…” I said the cursed word out loud. “I failed a test and have to retake it on Monday.”
“Do you need help studying? Not that I’m good at maths… but maybe I can help motivate you?”
“Trust me, my parents threatening to throw me out is motivation enough,” I said, making it sound as if I was joking, but apparently, he didn’t take it as such, as his beautiful face changed into a rather dark expression.
“If anything happens, just make sure to call me. I will help you.” I made sure to thank him and told him that I wasn’t planning on failing, so he didn’t have to worry about me. Then we got some coffee and sat down on an old wooden bench near the tracks. After sitting in silence for a few minutes, just enjoying the hot beverage refreshing our minds and warming our bodies, he cleared his throat.
“There is actually a reason why I called you out here,” Yanan started explaining. “I told you about my aunt’s birthday party, right?”
“You did,” I answered.
“I was just thinking if… maybe…” he started fidgeting with the wrapping around his cup, looking away from me nervously. “If maybe you wanted to… go together?” Still visibly a nervous wreck, he turned to me and his eyes wandered around somewhere on my face and to the collar of my coat.
“Are you asking me on a date?” The question must’ve taken him by surprise, as it now seemed like he stopped breathing, just staring at me for a good two seconds before he could say anything. Then he opened his mouth slightly to give me his answer in a silent, but clear voice.
“Yes.”
“Sure. When is the party?” At my quick answer he raised his eyebrows, looking at me with adorably wide eyes, then he shyly looked to the ground, a big smile spreading across his face. I had to repeat my question to which he stuttered awkwardly for a while, but then took a deep breath and gave me the date and address.
“I can pick you up if you want,” he offered, but I declined out of habit.
“Then my mom might want to meet you and check if you’re husband material. I’d rather not see you go through that on our first date…” As his aunt’s house was rather close to here, I suggested just meeting at the station as we always had so far and he agreed.
Arriving back home that afternoon I made sure to sneak up into my room without drawing any attention to myself, then locking myself in. My will to continue studying was long gone and instead, I started going through my wardrobe. I had one week to prepare for the party and no clothes that seemed to fit both the occasion and my hips anywhere in my room. I couldn’t exactly ask my mother to lend me a dress of hers, so I kept frantically searching, until I reached the very bottom of my closet and aside from my underwear and a few old T-shirts, all its contents were spilled across my room.
“This is hopeless,” I muttered to myself. “At this rate I’ll have to buy something new somewhere…”
I ended up telling my mother about the party and she offered to go looking for clothes together on Tuesday, even though she did seem a little worried that my relationship with Yanan was progressing too fast and I would already meet his family. At this rate she would definitely end up buying me some expensive dress so she could make sure I would look good at the party, and in exchange I’d have to study even harder to not only not fail the exam, but get a good grade on it. Which seemed pretty much impossible if you asked me. But I had to try to thank my mother properly.
Therefore I spent the rest of the weekend trying to study hard so I wouldn’t fail again, but still Monday came too soon. I wouldn’t say that the exam went badly, but it felt as though the teacher picked out even harder problems this time. Shouldn’t it get easier if it had to be retaken by an entire class? Nevertheless when the torture was finally over, I came out of the classroom completely drained, and in dire need of something sweet, so the first thing I did was run downstairs to the studying area where they had the big vending machines and bought some syrup that I downed in one go. Regretting that and feeling my throat go sore from the thick sugary liquid, I also sensed another bad feeling arising in my stomach. I answered maybe half the questions… there’s no way in hell I passed that.
Coming home that day I had to pull myself together to hide the bad premonition I had, and faking a smile all throughout Tuesday afternoon when I went out with my mother to go shopping for a fitting dress and then to get some coffee was draining. She even offered to buy me cake as she was in a good mood because we found a beautiful dress for a reduced price, and I had to fight hard to refuse. I didn’t want to risk putting on weight just after buying something that fit me like a glove. Towards the end of our shopping trip together I was actually happy and glad that everything worked out so well, that I fell asleep that night without any second thoughts. However, that bright mood would not be kept upright for long.
To be continued...

Can’t Sleep, huh? - Yanan
Request by @theunidentifiedpiece: A Yanan oneshot where he tries to put you to sleep because it’s really late at night and he knows you have insomnia? Words: 750 Genre: Fluffy, OneShot.
Tumblr media
A empty feeling next to him. Yanan moves over to your side, but feels you aren't there. He slowly opens his eyes and looks at the clock. It is 3 a.m. Some light is coming from the slightly opened bedroom door. Yanan moves the warm blanket from his body and sits up straight on the edge of the bed. He stretches and rubs his eyes. Sleepily, he walks towards the light that is coming from the living room. As he turns the corner he hears some sounds. It is not that loud, but he could have clearly heard it from the bedroom. He slept through them, while usually these sounds wake him up. He sees you. Your hair is a mess. You are wearing one of your favorite t-shirts of his and your legs are covered by a fluffy, but thin blanket.
Your eyes are focused on the movie. He knows that you while get startled by anything he does, so he tries to announce himself as subtle as he can. Of course, he fails terribly. He cleared his throat louder than he thought he would. You jump up and look with big eyes towards him. He signs to you to calm down. "Easy baby... It is just me" Yanan says with a soft smile. You sigh of relief. Your voice sounds sleepy as you say "I didn't wake you, did I?". Yanan sits next to you. "No, you didn't. I just missed your presence next me, I guess. I think that is what woke me up". He rubs over your back. You rest your head on his shoulder. It is heavy, because you are tired. "Can't sleep again, huh?" Yanan asks. He feels your head nod. You have been having trouble sleeping because of your insomnia. Usually you stay in bed, but sometime you have to do something to make yourself sleepy enough to rest a bit. It doesn't really help, but at least you are doing something. Yanan and  you have been living together for awhile so he is used to it. If he wakes up at night he tries to help you get to bed and get some rest.
"So what movie are you watching?" he asks and starts playing with your hair. "Just the first thing I found on Netflix. Not really a good movie, but it got me hooked to at least finish it to the end" You say with a chuckle. Yanan laughs. "How far are you in?". "I think there are only 10 minutes left". Yanan stays by your side. Playing with your hair and cuddling is something that helps you make more sleepy. He knows it has no use to drag you to the bed room when you are not sleepy enough. After the movie Yanan gets up. "I am going to make you some warm milk" he says and kisses your forehead. Even though he is still very tired, he is more awake than he was before. He makes some milk for himself and for you.
He hands you the cup and sits down next to you cross-legged, so his body is towards you. You do the same. Yanan looks at you as you take a sip of the milk. The way you are holding the cup with two hands, is very cute to him. "Is there a reason why you can't sleep tonight?" Yanan says and takes a sip of the milk as well. You nod and say "I have a lot of things on my mind, because of all the things I have to do". It is something that Yanan is familiar with. When something is stressing you out, talking about it makes it less worried and helps you to get all your tasks straight. Around 3:30 a.m he finally sees you yawn and smiles. "There it is" Yanan says and laughs. You smile. "Thank you, baby... You really don't have to do all of this for me though. You need your sleep". "But so do you. And you know I can't sleep well if you aren't next me". You smile and stand up. You kiss his forehead and take his empty cup to the kitchen.
Yanan takes you to the bedroom. Before you lay down he hugs you tightly. He looks at you. "Lets sleep well". You smile and kiss him on the lips this time. Yanan kisses you back and smiles. In bed he holds you close as you slowly drift off to sleep.

grammatical errors and mistakes ahead
Tumblr media
nothing's stopping you now and your sudden boost of confidence due to the intense amount of alcohol intake you had as you strut your way towards the tall man that you've been eyeing for since you came to the venue of the wedding. all the flirting that you two shared along with alcohol brings you on the bed of your hotel room, whimpering, writhing, and moaning underneath him. but how did you exactly get there?
"i expect you to be there to be one of my bridesmaids y/n! and yanan is there~ hyunggu invited him." your friend said when she came to your house, handing you an invitation for her wedding which will take place a few months later. of course you can't say no to your friend because you, yourself are very glad that she and hyunggu are about to start a new chapter of their lives as a couple but there's also another reason aside from that. the moment his name rolled out from your friend's lips saying that he's coming as well, your smile got wider as you told her, "of course i will totally be there! can't wait to witness you two finally marrying each other!".
you and your friend talked for a while before she left to hand the rest of the invitation to the guests. as soon as she left, you leaned against the wall next to your door, letting out the breath that you didn't know you were holding ever since your friend mentioned his name. you hate to admit it but you are overly head over heels for yanan to the point that even if someone just simply mentions his name, this had your stomach swooping. the first time you met yanan was when your friend invited you to her birthday party in which he was invited as well. and the moment you saw him, you could dedicate to him a taylor swift song especially along the lines of 'he's so tall, and handsome as hell' because indeed it clearly describes yanan. but there is one thing that is the problem here; you don't know how to flirt at him. well it's not that you really have no capabilities when it comes to flirting since you already flirted with some other guys a lot of times before but it is because you think you may not handle it if ever yanan flirts back at you or heck, you can't even handle being close to him either. for you, it's like you're a kid from kindergarten that gets shy if their crush is nearby which is a total opposite of what you usually are if you're flirting. if he flirts back, you think you may melt on the spot. your friend knows how much you feel about yanan so as a helpful friend she is, there was once a time where she set you up with yanan for a double date along with her and hyunggu but then again, you can't handle getting close and flirting at him so you ditched your date which ends up yanan thirdwheeling the two. you already plotted a lot of plans for how many times already on how to flirt at him whenever you come across each other but the moment you get to see him, all of those plans are erased and it annoys you how all of your plans are failing all the time.
so there you are, slumped on your bed, face flat against it as you brainstorm on how to flirt at him at the wedding or even at the future gatherings regarding the wedding. you were thinking that you should start by small talks. yes, that's right. start with casual small talks then gradually escalate it into flirting- the usual plan that you have but always failed. you then came to think about what would happen at the wedding, completely forgetting about your plan on flirting him. seeing your friend finally in a wedding dress, you wearing a dress as one of the bridesmaids, and oh- yanan wearing a suit. yes. yanan in a suit. this thought made you squeal against the mattress. thinking about what he looks like wearing a suit, how this highlights his long legs, how his outfit would accentuate his hips, shoulders and his chest, and so much more thoughts that actually lead you to sinful ones. thoughts that include how you slowly unbutton his dress shirt while kissing him slowly, how you ride his thigh or his crotch while he's still in his pants, and how he would use the tie of his suit on you. you tried to shake those thoughts off of your mind but you ended up awake at night, fingers curled inside your dripping core as you moaned his name breathlessly until you came which is the same thing that you did the night before the big event since you were way too excited for seeing yanan in a suit. you concluded that it would make you lose your mind and would just give in right in front of him.
and so it is the wedding day. you're all dressed up in a light blue dress that you picked when you and your friend went shopping and chose what the bridesmaids would wear. while you're walking down the aisle, your eyes instantly laid onto yanan who's fully dressed up in his suit which almost made you lose your focus. you tried your best to maintain your composure while walking before you're finally seated on your assigned seat, letting out a breath that you've been holding during your march.
throughout the wedding, your focus was on the couple whom you are very proud of. but at the same time, you can't help but to steal glances at yanan who looked hella fine even though it's been almost an hour since the ceremony started. your eyes caught the way he casually fixed his outfit. even though it's just a casual action, your mind is going insane on the spot the moment you saw him fixing his sleeves and loosening his tie. your sinful thoughts started to creep into your mind so you mentally slapped yourself a couple of times, bringing your focus back to the wedding.
the wedding ended with the couple sealing their marriage with a kiss. the bride then ordered the ladies, including you, to gather right behind her before she tossed her bouquet backwards and with the power of all the mysterious forces and you reaching out for it, you caught the bouquet. the people in the venue clapped while you squealed. and as if it's by instinct, you even have a might to stare at yanan, giving him a knowing look which made his friends seated next to him nudged him and your friend laughing lightly at your antics. you were able to catch the way yanan lifted the corner of his lips to a smirk which instantly made your insides flip. your thoughts start to wander on what his reaction meant but you weren't able to pin it.
it was already the reception. some of the guests, including you, gave their messages and best wishes for the newlyweds. it's now yanan who's going to give his message to the couple so you took the time to mesmerize his irresistible features from the moment he stood up from his seat and walked his way towards the platform, like it's his runway, and until he started to speak on the mic. at the same time, you try to refrain yourself from getting so whipped for him as you occasionally take a sip from your tequila while you're chilling at the bar. this doesn't help you either because after yanan is done with his little message and returned to his seat, you were able to catch his gaze on you which made you chug your drink in one gulp, forgetting the burning feeling of the alcohol against the back of your throat. you ended up distracting yourself from your thoughts with the help of alcohol but distracting had no effect on you anymore, instead you're now drunk. your need to get closer and feel him grows even more, desire burning you like you'll turn into ashes anytime. this is the effect that you have because of the man that hasn't even touched you yet and nothing is stopping you now. this is total contrast to what you may do if you're not drunk.
you approached him by the table where he's seated alone, slithering your fingers on his shoulder as you sit next to him.
"hey there yanan" you called him almost seductively while your fingers are tracing the fabric of his suit on his shoulder.
"oh hi y/n" he spoke before he took a sip from his drink. the way how your name slips off from his lips sends chills to your spine and made your insides flip. "you look great tonight." he added.
"so do you." you said as your fingers run down to his collar, occasionally leaving featherlight touches on the skin of his neck. "you look good in a suit- it makes me question my sanity, mister." you leaned in to whisper right on his ear which made him chuckle darkly, causing you to instantly cross your legs tighter.
however, yanan would like to test the waters first to see if you're someone who's really into him. considering he's been flirted by a lot of different people already, he's already encountered different tactics of flirting and most them are just for fun or just for the benefit of themselves. the ones that he encountered started at a small talk then escalates it to flirting him completely and others started by pretending to accidentally bump him or made a small physical contact with him and none of those cliché ones impressed him. but the thing that you're doing is totally different from what he used to; yours is way too straightforward which is what he likes. he was hesitant at first since he knows that you're drunk because of the smell of alcohol coming from you but what makes him think that you're really into him is those lingering gazes that you never knew he noticed, plus the one that you gave to him when you caught the bouquet earlier.
"question your sanity? is that why you were looking at me like that earlier when you caught the bouquet?" yanan asked, planting one of his elbows on the table while his other hand was on his hips. a sign that he became interested on how this thing will go.
"nope." you answered instantly, playing with the glass that you're holding before you paused and looked at him. "not just questioning it but losing it as well. i already lost my sanity on you before this wedding was planned, mister."
"oh really? mind if you tell me when and how it started?" he propped his chin on his palm, showing that he became much more interested on what else you can do.
"you're so damn irresistible, baby. from the moment y/f/n introduced you to me, you had this kind of effect on me and you got no idea what it is." your hands starts to fiddle with his tie and a part of you wants to tug it and pull him closer to you, as if this close proximity that you two are having is not enough for you.
"show me then." and with what yanan said made you pull him by his tie before you leaned closer to his ear.
"room 406. come over after the reception." you whispered, lips brushing against his ear as you did then pulled away before you walts your way from him to head to your hotel room.
thankful yanan is since the reception ended a few minutes after you left the area. he left the venue shortly after he bid his congratulations to the couple, taking the elevator on the way to your room.
on the other hand, you were in your room, dancing all by yourself while vibing through body party by ciara that was playing on your phone. you were then disrupted by a knock on the door which is followed by a voice saying that it is room service. despite how much the man by the door tried his best to somewhat change his voice, you're able to identify who the man is which made a smile crept up to your lips as you went to open the door.
"hey there handsome." you greeted as you leaned by the doorframe, hair a bit messy from all the dancing you did in your room earlier.
"hey there sweetface." he greeted back after a chuckle. "do you want any of my services madame?"
"ah- yes." you slowly raked your hand up to his chest then gripped his tie. "you." then you said with a growl before pulling yanan by his tie, kissing him hungrily while pulling him inside of your room. one of his hands dropped to your waist while the other is reaching out for the doorknob, locking it up as he kisses you back.
"you pulled me by my tie for twice already. do you really love my tie that much?" he said against your lips after he pulled away shortly.
"yeah" you said, almost breathlessly. "and i would love to know how you are going to use your tie on me, mister." and with that, yanan crashed his lips onto yours- tilting his head to the side as he deepens the kiss. you kissed him back in the same manner with his as if you're starving and that's what you needed in order to survive. he then lowers himself, kissing and nibbling the exposed skin of your neck, jaw, and shoulders as he unzips your dress. he lets your dress fall down to the floor before he guides the both of you to your bed, hands roaming around your body as he does. you started to feel sparks igniting all over your senses with his touch and at the same time, you felt yourself getting wetter which caused you to rub your thighs together. this however, was noticed by yanan who immediately pries your legs open and settles his knee between them. you let out your first moan for tonight when you felt him rub his knee against your clothed core. the moment he heard you moan, he had an idea popped up in his mind. yanan lifts you up, hand at the small of your back as he guides you on his lap while he sits up on the edge of the bed.
"mind if you ride my thigh sweetie?" he asked, hands are already on your waist.
"absolutely." then you wrapped your arms around his shoulders before you start to rock your hips, grinding against his thigh which had you throwing your head back and lets out a couple of moans. yanan grabbed the opportunity to suck the skin of your neck, leaving some bluish to purple marks. his name rolled out from your lips as you moaned sweetly and he grunts lightly as he felt his pants gets tighter in each noise that you make. he flexes his thigh occasionally that caused you to pick up your pace, whimpering helplessly. your wetness seeps even more from your panties and you were able to see how your wetness stained his pants.
"is this how you want me so bad?" yanan asked, grunting once again when your thigh occasionally brushed against the tent forming on his pants. "had you so fucking wet with just my thigh only."
"not just that yanan." you said with a slight growl stitched to your voice before you get off from his thigh and lower yourself, kneeling in front of the bed where he's seated. you palm him through his pants before unzipping them which earned a moan from him. the noises he makes had you clenching over nothing, getting impatient for the need to have him buried deep inside you. but you still have something in mind so after you unzipped his pants, you pulled them down along with his boxers, letting his cock spring free right before your eyes that had yanan hissing.
his cock is in the perfect size, you say. thick and long enough that you think will bring you straight to heaven the moment it stretches your tight muscles. his precum glistening at his pinkish tip that had you chewing on your bottom lip before you start to lick them off of him, tasting his sweet precum. yanan braced his palms on the mattress, throwing his head back as he moaned. you gave his tip a few kitten licks before taking them whole, sucking and twirling your tongue around his tip while your hand is now wrapped around the shaft, jerking him.
"oh fuck- it feels so fucking good." yanan moaned, biting onto his bottom lip as he tries to not buck his hips and fuck your mouth.
as you continue to jerk the rest of his cock with your hand, you feel your drool dripping through his shaft. you spread them even more as you jerk him, slicking him up before you decided to take him whole. you feel yanan almost bucked his hips to your mouth as he lets out a rather loud moan. you bob your head up and down, hollowing your cheeks to somewhat fit him into your mouth but his tip is already hitting the back of your throat.
yanan on the other hand had enough of restraining himself from fucking your mouth so one of his hands found your hair and gripped them for a makeshift ponytail before he pulls you away and pushes you back in, a choked out moan escaping his lips. he starts to buck his hips to yours, fucking your mouth completely. you were whimpering at the back of your throat whenever you hear his moans that had your pussy clenching over nothing and soaking wet even more. yanan's moans gets louder as he speeds up, you almost consider them as a music to your ears the noises he makes. yanan feels the same way too but in his case, each noise that you create sends vibrations to his cock that causes it to twitch, continuing to do so until he came and shoots his load into your throat. you did not waste each drop of his cum and swallows them, licking your lips afterwards before you sit back on his lap and kissed him. yanan moaned between kisses as he got a taste of himself while you start to take off his coat, loosen his tie and unbutton his dress shirt. he placed you back on the bed, hovering above you while you took the chance to roam your hands around his torso. he pulls away from the kiss, removing his tie and his shirt completely.
"you said you love to know how i am gonna use my tie on you, right?" he asked then you nod as you looked at his orbs, full of lust. yanan grabbed both of your wrist and ties them together before tying them onto one of the posts of the headboard of the bed. "here we go." he said as he finished tying then pulled away, kneeling on the bed as he admires how you're tied on the bed. "perfect." he said with a growl, corner of his lips lifting up to a smirk.
you're squirming against the mattress as you felt his gaze on you that is like he's a predator, ready to devour his prey anytime. he leans in for a searing kiss before he trails down to your chest, planting wet kisses before he latches his mouth onto one of your nipples and sucks them while he plays with the other nipple by pinching and flicking it. a loud moan along with his name bursting off of your lungs as you fist your hands over nothing, desperate to have your hands around him while he makes you feel good. while continuing his ministrations, he sneaks his other hand down between to your inner thighs and rubs them teasingly.
"f-fuck yanan stop teasing- i've been holding on for too long to not to be teased like this." you whined, lifting your lower half in hopes of having contact with his hand to your clothed core.
he chuckled darkly before he brings his hand close to your heat, running his fingers through the prominent slit on your panties.
"so damn wet for me." he says with a hint of amusement to his tone. "imagine how my cock would slip easily in and out of you just because of how wet you are."
"just fuck me already yanan!" you scolded him with a whine.
"no sweetie, i need to prep you first. do you think you could handle this cock that i got with how small you are?" you got speechless with his words and with that, yanan discarded your panties off of you and shoved two of his fingers to your heat. you arched your back against the mattress, moaning so loudly as he stretches and scissors you with his fingers. after a couple of thrusts, he added another digit and continues to finger you as he plays with your breasts, sucking and pinching them with his other hand.
"y-yanan" you moan his name sweetly, letting out a couple of moans that echoes all over the room. with the noises that you make, he snaps his wrist faster- picking up the pace. he brings his thumb on your clit, rubbing them as he fingers you. a soft grunt leaving his throat every time he feels you clenching around his fingers.
meanwhile, you're a mess- whining and whimpering underneath him which gets louder as you feel yourself getting closer to your peak. your knuckles turn white as you circle your fist tight since you're holding onto nothing, moaning his name like a mantra.
"oh fuck- y-yanan i'm gonna-" you were cut off when you part your lips, screaming silently as you came on his fingers. yanan brings his fingers to his lips, licking and sucking your juices but he made sure he left some for you. chest heaving as you catch your breath, you look at yanan with full of lust as you watch the sight before your eyes. he pries your lips open with his fingers then shoved them in. you groaned around his fingers as you got a taste of yourself and sucked his fingers clean.
"you use your mouth so well on me sweetie." yanan cooed, caressing your cheek with his thumb. "now-" he flips you flat on your stomach then lifts your lower half. "let's see how good your pussy is." then he plunges his member into your heat, groaning at how your tight walls are hugging him. he went in inch by inch before bottoming out, letting you adjust. you took the time to adjust and stabilize your breathing before you told him to move as soon as you deemed that you're ready.
he slowly pulls out until the tip which had you hissing before he slams back in rather hard and you could somewhat feel the bed move and its headrest hit the wall lightly at the force that yanan applied. he starts to thrust at a moderate pace, holding your waist tight as he do so. both of your moans that blend well together echoes the room. a moan of your name slips off from yanan's lips which had you clenching around him then you yelped as you felt a stinging sensation against your ass when his palm made contact with it. he continues to fuck you while slapping your ass, timing it with his thrust which had you moaning his name breathlessly.
"oh fucking god- y/n" slap. "despite on how little you are, you take me so well. do i make you feel so good, am i right?" another slap. "do i hit your sweet spot?" another slap. "is this what you wanted for a long time huh y/n?" and another slap.
"fuck yes! yes yanan!" you managed to answer, nodding frantically as you did. despite on how deep he is buried inside you, you're still desperate for more. but you cannot do anything since your hands are tied and it tightened even more when he flipped you earlier. so you start to grind your ass against his, timing it with his thrusts as well. yanan, however, sensed your need so he went to pick up his pace without a warning but you anticipated it anyways.
"oh y-yanan! oh fuck-" both of your moans that are getting louder each second accompanied by skin slapping noises, dominates the room. you two are immersed with the pleasure that spreads throughout your entire senses to the point that the two of you completely ignore the banging on the wall which is followed by a voice coming from the newlyweds next door, complaining about your noises.
"look at you- so little but able to take my cock so well, willing to get ruined by it." yanan chuckled darkly before he sneaks a hand down between your thighs and starts to play with your clit. the moment he's done it had you throwing your back and closed your eyes shut, mouth hung open for a loud and long moan due to the immense amount of pleasure given to you.
you feel yourself approaching your second orgasm and your thighs are now shaking, moaning and whimpering helplessly. yanan lets out lewd noises as well each time your walls are clenching around his cock.
"you close sweetie?" yanan asked almost breathlessly and you answered with a nod. soon after, his thrusts are getting sloppy, feeling his high approaching as well but he's able to fuck you harder to bring you closer to the edge. you part your lips for a loud and high pitched moan as you finally came, coating yanan's dick with your juices. yanan pulls out of you as well after a few thrusts, flipping you back and made you open your lips with his cock and shoved it inside before he starts to fuck your mouth for the second time tonight. your noises are now muffled but it sends vibrations to his member which makes his noises increase in volume. he quickened his pace and you were able to feel around your mouth how his cock is twitching. he came right after, a choked moan leaving his lips. you swallowed and sucked each drop of his cum, but some are leaking out from the corner of your lips. he stilled for a second before he pulls out, bringing his thumb to the corner of your lips to shove those cum back into your mouth. after you have them swallowed, he cups your cheeks and dives in for a kiss which is slow and sensual. he reaches out to your restraints, setting your hands free and he soothes the skin of your wrists in the midst of your kiss. he pulls away, licking his lips and stares at you briefly before he lays down next to you, catching his breath.
you two remained there, catching your breaths for a few moments. yanan was about to speak something as soon as he felt his breathing was stable but he's disturbed by a knock on the wall.
"are you guys done now? we are going to sleep now okay?" it was hyunggu, one of the newlyweds.
both of you bursted out laughing upon knowing that they heard all of your noises from earlier's activities.
"we were loud." you said, chuckling lightly.
"you were very loud." yanan replied, booping the tip of your nose before he pecks it. "and you're very irresistible as well sweetie."

Yuto - Kinks
Tumblr media
(Because there are not enough things written about this beautiful man in the world. And after much deliberation, I have decided that he is my bias.)
dOM (don’t deny it)
will let you top but he’s still in control
oral buddy, giving and receiving
will praise you
loves to kiss your neck
prefers missionary because he loves looking into your eyes
restraints (sometimes, he only gives it)
not into the hardcore stuff
but I wouldn’t complain if I got anything from him *wink wonk*
wants you to top occasionally
probably cause he wants a good look at the goods ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
do NOT
for the love of all things good
do NOT talk back
cause this bitch won’t hold back
but let’s get real
he’s a soft lil shit
so when he’s not pounding into you like the Hulk throwing Loki around
he’s placing soft kisses down your body
holding your hand while his other hand works at the goods ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
taking his time
loving each part of you equally
(god damnit, calm down)
after care is noice buddy
he’ll cuddle you
and be all stereotypical
but in all reality, every man falls asleep so expect his cuddles to be while he’s asleep.
Thank you and a good night

Goretober D21: Home Alone - Yanan
Yanan + Gender Neutral Reader - Friends - Highschool au
Warnings: Themes of abandonment? kinda, mentions of death.
Word Count: 598
Tumblr media
“Still no sign of anything today?”  You question despite having been home alone all day, the familiar sound of light footsteps finally seeping into the room and alerting you of Yanan’s return.
“Nope, nothing from anyone. Some people are starting to get anxious.” Yanan sighs softly as he sits at the bar counter of your home, watching you continue to work on the snack you were having.
“Yeah? And what about you? Are you starting to get anxious too?” You tilt your head trying to read his expression leaning against the counter and closer to him, offering him some food.
Yanan simply shrugs, “I mean I don’t see why we need to be. Sure it’s unpleasant having to grow up sooner cause everyone in town managed to disappear while we were on the school trip, but like.....we’re old enough that everyone should be able to manage I think, so why be anxious right?”
You hum, knowing he had some valid points, “That’s certainly true, but there still is something I worry about and perhaps some of the others are too. Whether they’re afraid or just a bit anxious though might depend on the person.”
Yanan raises a brow as he continues to watch your form move, “Oh and what is that? What are you so worried about?”
“The fact that we don’t know what happened to them. I mean I guess there is a chance they just up and left, but if so was there a danger here? And if not, where did they go? Like did something come and kill everyone or what? There is a chance that something out there got them and that it could get us too.” You explain and he nods along, before grinning playfully at you.
“Wait....is that why you insisted on us staying together? Are you afraid a monster is going to come get you in the night?” Yanan playfully teases you, earning him a friendly punch to the arm.
“Watch it! Or I might just sacrifice you to that monster.” You muse back, earning a small laugh from your friend who puts his hands up in surrender.
That’s how most the evening went too, your playful banter back and forth. Until screaming came from city hall just before one am, when you were both getting ready to truly settle in and try to get some rest before the long day ahead.  Scrambling towards the sound to see what’s going on you’re greeted by chaos, you and Yanan trying to calm people along the way to get to the rest of the group that had been put together to oversee things until the adults returned.
“What’s going on Hongseok?” You pant out the question after finally making it through the madness. He sighs softly shaking his head.
“Yuto was found dead. People are saying that whatever killed him was the same thing that got everyone while we were gone. Even if we don’t have proof of either.” Hongseok explains, your heart sinking at the mention of your friend’s death. It explained the anarchy going on currently though, getting the group to call an emergency meeting into the school auditorium where it was decided that someone had to figure out what was truly going on here. So they decided a small group should go, instead of risking everyone and that was it for the night.
Yanan sighs softly as he walks into the kitchen the next morning, thanking you for cooking only to receive a hum in response.
“So you ready to go today? Not too worried about the monsters are you?”

Yanan: Light
Tumblr media
Characters: Yanan x reader (gender neutral) (featuring Hongseok, Yuto, Jinho, and Shinwon)
Genre/warnings: fallen angel au, angst, fluff, mention of blood and wounds n stuff, stuff about religion
Word count: 5,056
Summary: Nobody knows how somebody like Yanan -- not only angelic in looks, but also in personality -- became a fallen angel, but your friends find him in the woods after he fell, and you take it upon yourself to teach him how to live now that everything he's ever known has been taken away.
a/n: I meant to finish this back when Yanan came back (bc I was excited and I wanted to write for him) buuuut it took a lil longer than expected. this also jumps around a lot but only because I don’t want like, a shit ton of filler so I’m sorry if things get confusing !!!!
“He’s...big.”
“Nah, he’s a twig; he’s just long. He’ll be easy to carry.”
“You’re not the one carrying him, are you, Yuto?”
“Will you both just shut up and pick him up? We can’t leave him out here in the forest forever.”
The voices Yanan heard sounded like he was underwater, but they slowly became clearer as he tried to swim to the surface of the darkness. Finally, his eyes opened to see the night sky above him, but his eyelids felt like they had weights tied to them. He groaned, feeling everything just hurt -- especially his back. It stung and he wasn’t sure why, but what should’ve been a sharp sting was dull as he slowly started to come to his senses.
Jinho turned his head at the noise, looking behind him as him and Yuto led the way back to the house. Hongseok was carrying the newest addition, who was apparently awake, though Jinho couldn’t see his face since he was slung over the muscular boy’s shoulder.
“I was hoping we’d get him home before he woke up,” Jinho mumbled.
“No, he’s definitely still kind of out of it,” Hongseok replied. “You remember how it is.”
“Barely,” Jinho snorted.
“What do you think he was kicked out for?” Yuto asked just to make time pass by faster.
Hongseok hummed softly as he thought, “Mm...maybe he got tricked by a demon.”
“Nah, he looks like too much of a goody-two-shoes to be working with demons,” Yuto decided, remembering his angelic face that was stained with tears, blood, and dirt. “I don’t think God would make somebody looking that innocent go do demon duty.”
“Are you saying I don’t look innocent?” Hongseok asked jokingly.
Jinho laughed, “Anything but.”
The house wasn’t too far away from what the group called “the drop”, which was where some fallen angels typically ended up. You lived right on the edge of a forest in a nice neighborhood with a cute little fence and a seemingly normal life. The five of you fit in perfectly, and now you’d have to teach this guy how to do that, too.
Yuto threw open the back door, and Shinwon looked up from where he was standing at the open refrigerator. As soon as he saw Hongseok squeeze in with somebody over his shoulder, he went to help.
“Is he awake?” Shinwon asked, helping Hongseok carry the softly groaning boy into the living room.
“Not really,” Hongseok replied as he laid him down on the towel that Jinho had laid out on the floor.
“Did you get a name?”
Everything after that sounded garbled to Yanan. He was slipping in and out -- either from pain or from blood loss -- and he couldn’t focus on the conversation anymore. He didn’t come to again until he felt sharp stinging in his back from Shinwon and Jinho cleaning out the gashes in his back. He was sat up against somebody as he whined and whimpered and gasped, trying to get away from the pain -- at least it had him wide awake now.
The boys eventually took a break to let him rest. They learned his name was Yanan as they gave him water and fed him, figuring he must’ve been pretty hungry since nobody was sure how long he’d been passed out in the woods.
That was when you walked through the front door, hanging your jean jacket on the coat rack. You strolled into the living room, your sneakers still on your feet since you heard murmuring -- and murmuring was not good. And lo and behold, there was a new person in the den.
The first thing you noticed were the two bloody gashes in his shoulder blades, so you knew he was like you, “Found another one?”
“This is Yanan,” Shinwon told you.
Yanan looked over at you curiously, and you literally laughed at him, “He was kicked out? No fuckin’ way!”
“Huh?” Jinho asked.
“Just look at him!” you exclaimed, gesturing to his perfect face. Blond hair that fell just right despite having a twig or a leaf here and there, innocent features, and perfect skin to top it all off. “He looks like he was sculpted by God Himself. No way he’s actually fallen. He looks way too pure.”
“And we don’t?” Hongseok asked.
“Jinho could be, Shinwon’s a maybe; but you and Yuto? Absolutely not.”
Shinwon leaned closer to Yanan, whispering -- but loud enough for you to hear on purpose, “Watch out for _____. They’re feisty.”
“Dick,” you frowned.
Yanan suddenly cried out in pain before doubling over. His breathing was shallow and his eyes squeezed closed. You already knew what it was: his new wings were coming in.
“This’ll be fun,” you mumbled, recalling the intense pain you went through with yours. “Let’s hope neither of his have to be forced out.”
“Don’t mention it,” Yuto grumbled.
It sounded like bones snapping, which made your skin crawl. Yanan let out something close to a scream as his new wings tried to push through the gashes where his old ones were torn away from him. It made his muscles burn, like a hot knife tearing through his body, so all he could do was shout in pain.
“Do we start pulling?” Hongseok asked.
“Give it a sec,” Shinwon instructed.
Sure enough, with a few more cracking noises, a large blur of black unfurled from Yanan’s back, stretching out behind him. His wings had you taking several steps back, your eyes widening at the span of them. They were much larger than anybody else’s, and it was both horrifying and absolutely amazing to see.
“Whoa...” you breathed.
Yanan gasped for breath as Jinho reached for the glass of water to give him. You glanced to Yuto who stood beside you, giving an impressed nod.
But despite the impressive wingspan -- which seemed to be half feathers, and half blood right now -- when Yanan lifted his head to look behind him at his new wings, his flushed face still looked as angelic as ever. Even being a fallen angel, Yanan still looked like he belonged in Heaven.
-
Adjusting for Yanan was difficult. Teleporting wasn’t as graceful, he wasn’t invincible, and you guaranteed him a newfound bitterness toward God and the world. While Yanan was still sorting out his feelings on the matter of getting kicked out -- nobody knew why he was kicked out, but nobody dared ask either -- he was putting more time into sorting out his new life with the five of you.
Truthfully, Yanan was scared. He wasn’t a mean person, and he never hated anybody. However, after what happened, he felt...something bad. He didn’t want to think about it, afraid the bad feeling would grow and make him a bad person, and he didn’t want to be a bad person. Even when he was alive, Yanan was basically a saint. So the fact that he felt like he could possibly change completely was scary to him.
Although he had heard that fallen angels were full of hate, he thought your group was pretty normal. None of you complained about how you were wronged -- unless it was brought up -- and you all tried to help him, and you even let him live with you. The living situation took some adjusting as well since the only spare room was an office, and your room was too small to fit two people -- they spent an entire weekend clearing out the office to make another bedroom for Yanan -- but you all made it work, and Yanan appreciated it.
“Why do you all only wear dark colors?” Yanan asked after a couple days there, looking at the clothes in his hands that Shinwon had let him borrow since his were torn up and bloody.
“We tend to keep away from white and lighter colors,” Hongseok explained.
Yanan frowned, “Why?”
“Him,” was all he said.
“Why? Do you hate Him?”
“Considering what he did to us,” you spoke up with a bitter tone, your brows set low in annoyance, “I’d say yeah, we kind of hate Him. What, do you not?”
Yanan just looked back at the clothes and sighed, “I’ll get used to the dark colors.”
-
“You’re keeping your hair like that?” you asked him after about a week of him staying there, making a face.
He subconsciously brought a hand to his hair, “What do you mean?”
“You’re keeping it blond like that?”
“Y-yeah... Why?”
You let out a puff of air that blew the hair that had fallen into your face as you crossed your arms over your chest, “I’ve literally never seen a fallen angel with light hair before.”
It wasn’t that the light hair was a bad thing -- in fact, you thought it looked good -- but you just didn’t get it. Yanan wasn’t trying to completely change everything about himself, and that was odd to you. Even Yuto who was shy and quiet immediately started to reinvent himself with dark hair and dark clothes.
“I-is that bad?” he stammered, suddenly reconsidering his choices.
"Never said that,” you shrugged, “but I’m just saying, most of us end up wanting it darker.”
“_____!” Jinho barked from the kitchen. “Leave him alone; he can do whatever makes him comfortable.”
“It’s just some advice, Jinho,” you sighed.
You glanced up at Yuto one last time before walking away to leave the house.
-
You barely glanced up from your phone as you heard the soft whoosh of somebody teleporting in, followed by a thud -- that thud told you exactly who it was: Yanan. He was still having trouble with the teleporting thing, and you were starting to wonder if he’d ever get the hang of it. It had already been a few weeks, and he was still falling over.
“Need some ice for those bruises on your ass?” you deadpanned.
Yanan frowned, looking like a child that fell over, “Why is this so difficult?”
You couldn’t help but think he looked kinda cute -- you’d never admit that to anybody, though. No matter what, Yanan always looked so damn cute, and you hated it because it made you feel bad for being hard on him sometimes. But at the same time, he had to learn to be tougher because he was still as soft as a marshmallow.
“You have to actually, y’know, use your muscles to stay up,” you reminded him.
Unlike teleporting when you were an angel, which was something you didn’t even have to try to do, teleporting as a fallen angel took some actual effort. As an angel, all you had to do was just teleport. There was no effort to it other than just thinking about where you wanted to go, which was easy. There were a few sparkles and some pretty white dust, and you were just gone and in a new place like that. But as a fallen angel, there was black smoke-like fog, and a gust of wind that you had to fight against to stay up. It wasn’t like a harsh push or anything, but you actually had to use your muscles a little to not fall over in the middle of it -- not to mention that teleporting with opened wounds or anything would cause blood to go everywhere, but that was a lesson learned the hard way.
You knew you couldn’t blame Yanan for still getting used to it, but he had to learn, and you weren’t going to baby him about it.
But little did you know that Yanan preferred that he wasn’t babied. He liked that the others treated him nicely, but he would never learn if they kept treating him like a child. You were blunt with him, and he knew that was what he needed to learn -- and he was determined to learn.
“I know that!” he huffed, pushing himself off of the floor and adjusting his sweatshirt. “It’s just a bit windy, so it’s disorienting. I forget to keep myself up.”
You groaned, standing up and shoving your phone in your pocket, “Fine, I’ll show you.”
You walked over to Yanan, discarding your jacket as you went. You had pre-cut slits down the back of your shirt from the top of your shoulders down to the hem of your shirt, and your black wings stretched out from them. They encircled you and Yanan before you teleported to the first place you could think of: the cliff.
The cliff was where you went to be alone. It had a bench that was never occupied, and it overlooked the ocean with waves crashing into the rocks below. Everybody knew where it was since it was where they often found you, but you usually went there by yourself. They’d only go if they needed to get you for some reason. But now, you were bringing Yanan there.
You were so used to the awkward feeling of being practically thrown into a new place that you didn’t even think twice about staying up as your wings went immediately back into your shoulder blades. However, when you noticed Yanan about to tip over onto his butt, you grabbed his forearms and yanked him into you so he’d stay up.
Yanan’s arms wrapped around you, holding onto you like an anchor so he wouldn’t fall backwards. But once he’d gained his balance and realized how close he was to you, his body completely pressed against yours, his face heated up and turned red.
“Th-thanks,” he said sheepishly, taking a step away from you.
“See? Not hard at all,” you told him.
He looked down at you, watching how the ocean breeze blew your hair out behind you, and how the sunset was the perfect backdrop to the way you squinted out into the sea. He felt something fluttering inside him.
“Yeah,” he mumbled, “not hard.”
-
Over the couple months he’d spent with the five of you, Yanan noticed you were very...feisty. He noticed that it seemed like you were trying to be the ‘alpha’ of the group. You didn’t like taking orders from anybody, you always had something snarky to say, and you never backed down. The first full day he was even there, you didn’t go soft on him like everybody else.
You were tough and loud -- it was even why you were stripped of your angel status -- and he found himself both frightened and somehow content. Your personality was something familiar to him, and it made him both angry and feeling at home. He wasn’t sure if he liked that, but again, he chose to ignore it and keep it to himself.
Well, as long as he could until it was brought up.
That day, he hadn’t seen you at all. He usually saw you in the morning and in the afternoon at least, but he hadn’t seen you at all. You weren’t even there for dinner, and you never missed dinner.
“Where’s _____?” he wondered as the boys started to clean up the kitchen.
“At the cliff,” Hongseok replied, “but I wouldn’t go looking for them.”
Yanan was actually intrigued by this, “Why not?”
“It’s the one year anniversary of when _____ fell,” Shinwon told him, mustering up a weird, half consolation smile.
“I didn’t realize they took it hard...”
“Not all of us can just accept it like you can,” Yuto shrugged.
Yanan wanted to say that he hadn’t just ‘accepted it’ but he didn’t want to get into that right now, either.
But when Yanan got up just before midnight to grab water and noticed that your bedroom door was wide open, and the room was vacant, he started to get worried. Why hadn’t you come home yet? Were you okay? Were you hurt? So, despite the warnings to not go find you, that’s what he did.
He ended up at the cliff like he expected, staying on his feet -- he’d finally gotten the teleporting thing down -- as he looked around while the smoke quickly dissipated into the air. Sure enough, you were sitting on the bench, overlooking the ocean in silence. He knew you must’ve heard him, so he shoved his hands in his pockets and strolled over to you. He sat down beside you, but you didn’t look away from the ocean.
“Are you okay?” he finally asked after a couple moments of no sound other than the wind and the waves crashing against the rocks below.
You nodded slowly, “Yeah... Yanan, can I ask you something?”
“Sure,” he decided.
Still keeping your eyes on the horizon, you asked, “Why don’t you hate God?”
Honestly, he expected you to ask what got him stripped of his wings and halo, so the question actually took him by surprise. He shifted on the bench and cleared his throat, trying to figure out how to word his answer.
“I-I don’t really know,” he admitted. “I guess I understand why He kicked me out. I broke two rules.”
Your eyes widened, unable to believe that he could’ve even broke a single one, “What?”
When Yanan just nodded as a reply, you scoffed, looking back out onto the water, “There’s no way you broke two rules.”
You had already told him your story: how God didn’t save somebody you cared for deeply, and you essentially cursed Him out for it. You told Him where He could stick His “plan” before your wings were ripped right out of your back, and you were dropped down to earth. However, Yanan had never told you what he’d done, so this was news to you.
The two of you fell into another silence that lasted even shorter this time. You got impatient, turning to him.
“Aren’t you even mad at the situation?” you wondered. “Are you mad at all?”
Yanan looked down at his lap where he fidgeted with his fingers, letting out a deep sigh, “I want to be, but I’m not.”
“Why?”
“I guess...because the reason it all happened...was somebody I loved...”
Somehow, that made sense to you. You couldn’t think of any other reason somebody like Yanan would get kicked out other than falling in love.
You nodded slowly, resting a hand on his knee in some sort of comfort, “I’m sorry... But, that’s only one rule.”
“She wasn’t a human,” Yanan admitted nervously.
“But another angel isn’t--” you stopped mid-sentence, the realization hitting you as your jaw went slack and your eyes widened. “She was a demon...”
Yanan’s eyes were still on his lap as he gave a somber nod.
That was definitely a shock to you. Goody-two-shoes Yanan had fallen for a demon that was literally all evil. You weren’t sure how that happened or how he was even allowed near demons when he was clearly so innocent, but you couldn’t help but feel bad for him.
“I couldn’t help it,” he said, sounding upset about it rather than angry. “She was so tough and headstrong. She was everything I wasn’t; everything I wanted to be.”
“I get it,” you nodded, patting his knee. “You can’t control who you fall in love with.”
That seemed to be his biggest downfall lately. He couldn’t control the fact that he had fallen for a demon, and now, couldn’t control that he was falling for the person who reminded him so much of the girl he once loved. Yanan was falling for you.
-
You didn’t know why you couldn’t stop thinking about Yanan as you fell asleep that night. Maybe because he was the last person you spoke to. Maybe because you finally found out the reason he had fallen. Maybe it was because he had gone out of his way to look for you when it had gotten late. Or maybe it was just because Yanan had been on your mind a lot recently.
Something about his innocence intrigued you. It wasn’t like you wanted to destroy it or corrupt him or do anything dirty. In fact, you liked Yanan’s wholesomeness. He was like a bright light in the sea of darkness -- both literally and figuratively since he still kept his bright blond hair -- that you’d come to know. It was like breathing in fresh air after being in a confined space for a long time.
But you knew how completely opposite the two of you were. Yanan, despite everything, didn’t get mad or hate anybody for what happened. But you? You hated the world and everything it stood for because He created it. You wanted to see everything crumble and burn, but Yanan wanted to move past things. You felt like you’d just drag him down even though you wanted to help him keep his head above the deep, dark abyss.
That was the only reason you wouldn’t admit that you were falling for the blond-haired fallen angel. You were afraid of ruining the person he was.
-
"_____?”
You looked up from the sandwich you were making at the sound of Yanan’s voice in the doorway. He held up a box, and you recognized it as hair dye.
“Can you help me with this?” he asked, pointing to his head. “I think I’m gonna change the blond like you sai--”
“No!” you blurted.
Yanan looked scared at your outburst, but then realized what you said, looking confused, “No? Why not? You told me to--”
“I know what I said, but now I’m saying this: no,” you stated. You left your sandwich to go over to the taller boy and snatch the box from his hand. “Don’t change it.”
He didn’t know why, but he felt his face heating up, “Why?”
You brought the dye with you when you walked back to the counter, tossing it in the trash as you went, “It suits you.”
"Really?”
Yuto walked into the kitchen, looking between the two of you, “Is _____ being mean again?”
You just made a face at him, sticking out your tongue.
“No,” Yanan chuckled, “_____’s being nice.”
Yuto looked shocked, before he narrowed his eyes at you. He looked carefully between you and Yanan before he smirked, walking over to the fridge, “Nice, huh? Alright...”
“You keep your mouth shut, Adachi,” you told him sternly before you took your sandwich and quickly left the room.
Yanan watched you leave, unsure of what exactly happened.
Yuto walked up behind him, clapping a hand on his shoulder, “Just so you know, _____ is hardly ever nice to anybody.”
Yanan couldn’t help but smile a little bit to himself.
-
“So,” she began as she kicked at a rock on the ground, “you have to go back now, don’t you?”
“Yeah...” Yanan replied reluctantly. He didn’t want to go back. He just wanted to keep spending time with her. He never wanted to leave her. He’d never been so attached to somebody before, and he never thought it would happen with a demon. “I’m sorry.”
She looked up from the ground, looking at Yanan now, “Then you may as well go now.”
“W-wait,” Yanan began, not wanting to rush his last moments with her. His cheeks turned pink as he ran a hand through his hair. “Shouldn’t we say goodbye?”
“Yanan, you’re stalling, aren’t you?” she guessed, quirking an eyebrow. She could always read him like an open book.
He smiled shyly, letting out a quiet laugh, “Maybe a little bit.”
She smirked, “And why is that?”
Yanan stuttered, unsure what to say. He knew he wasn’t supposed to admit to loving somebody -- he wasn’t even supposed to love anybody except God -- but he wanted to tell her how he felt. She seemed to feel the same way, anyway.
“C’mon,” she cooed, looking up at him with a soft expression -- one she always used when she wanted Yanan to open up to her, “you know you can tell me anything, Yanan.”
“I...” Yanan trailed off, trying to build up his courage. Even when he did, all he got out was a quiet, “I love you.”
Her expression quickly turned dark as she chuckled at him, shaking her head and stepping back from him, “Oh, Yanan...”
Yanan blinked, unsure of what was happening. He didn’t understand her reaction at all, his blue eyes watching her as she ran a hand through her dark curls. She looked almost...amused with his confession.
“You sure were fun to play with,” she sighed happily, connecting all the dots in Yanan’s head. He’d completely messed up. “You might’ve been the most innocent little angel yet.”
Yanan felt himself being pulled away from earth, and his body filled with panic as she just giggled at him and waved.
“Tell the Big Guy I said hello,” was the last thing he heard from her before he was gone.
Yanan stared at the grass at his feet as he sat on the bench. He was still angry at her, but he was also angry at himself. He should’ve known from the get go that she was just toying with him -- she was a demon, after all. Even during his confession, it was like she planned it all out to make him say it. Why did he say it? Why did he bother?
But at the same time, what if he wasn’t so innocent? Would things have ended the same? Should he have changed? Did it all happen because he was so naive and pure? What if he was taken advantage of again because of it?
Yanan heard the soft whoosh of wind behind him, knowing it must’ve been you to look for him. Hardly any of the others went to the cliff, and while he knew it was your spot, he wasn’t sure of where else to go. He was starting to understand what you meant about hating everything, and he needed somewhere to think things through.
Except instead of hating everything and everyone, he was starting to hate himself. If he wasn’t so innocent and stupid, he wouldn’t have ended up here.
You were no longer positive of how long it had been since you met Yanan, you only knew that you grew fonder and fonder of him each day -- maybe you even loved him. So seeing him missing from the house, you got worried and went to the one place you figured he’d be: the cliff.
You sat down on the bench beside him, stretching your legs out in front of you, “Hey.”
“Hi,” he mumbled, his dark eyes still fixated on the ground.
“Rough day?” you guessed.
He opened his mouth to speak, but then he closed it and clenched his jaw. He opened it a second time, but stayed silent for a moment.
“When you told me to change before,” he began slowly, his eyes not leaving the ground, “you were right.”
You sat forward so fast that you almost flung yourself off the bench, “What? Yanan, no I wasn’t! I was just angry and judge-y and--”
“Who I am go me to where I am,” he stated in a voice much stronger than you’d ever heard him speak in. He lifted his head and turned to look at you, his stare harsh. “I’m weak and naive.”
“What made you suddenly decide that, huh?” you asked him.
Yanan stared at you silently for a moment before quietly admitting, “You remind me of her.”
You already knew he meant the demon he loved. What other ‘her’ could it be? Your lips parted slightly, wanting to say something, but you couldn’t find any words. Your heart was fluttering, but you also felt bad about it. You didn’t want to be like somebody that hurt him, especially not somebody that made him think he had to change.
“So what?” you finally asked him. “What does me having to be like her have to do with anything? Do you expect me to love you if you change?”
“No, I just--” he sighed, running both hands through his hair as he pushed himself off of the bench and began pacing. “...I just don’t want the same thing to happen again. I don’t want to get fucked over.”
“You won’t,” you stated surely, standing up and grabbing one of Yanan’s hands without thinking. “Yanan, you are the only thing on this earth that I don’t hate, and if you change...” you just shook your head, not even wanting to think about that. “I’ll protect you from anything that tries to take advantage of you, okay?”
“Why?” he laughed dryly. “You were the one who went hard on me from the beginning, and now you’re suddenly going soft?”
“Because I love you, you big idiot!” you burst. “I’m the only one that gets to be blunt with you because I want to help you. And as somebody who wants to help you, and as somebody who likes you because you’re you, I don’t want you to change a single thing.”
Yanan froze, staring at you like he couldn’t believe you admitted all that -- and he couldn’t believe it. He thought you wouldn’t love him back, just like her. But he should’ve had hope things would be different because you weren’t completely like her anyway. You actually tried to help him and look out for him, and you never used him for your own gain. You were like her, yes, but you weren’t her.
Slowly, Yanan leaned in. Even with your confession, though, he was unsure if he could bring himself to kiss you. He wasn’t sure if it was nerves or fear or--
He couldn’t even consider what it was, because you had gripped his collar and brought his lips crashing down into yours. Your arms wrapped around him, keeping him close to you as his hands managed to find their way to your waist, settling there comfortably.
Surprisingly, you were the one to pull away, your cheeks flushed from showing affection toward the newest fallen angel. Yanan just laughed softly, keeping you held close to him.
“If I remembered that I could confess to you whenever I wanted without getting my wings ripped off, I would’ve told you I loved you a while ago,” he told you.
You just let out a sigh as you playfully rolled your eyes. You really hoped he’d never change.

[MASTERLIST]
You and Shinwon lived together since the beginning of university with you doing Chinese and him desperately trying to get through his now third year of Economics. Living with him was fun at times, mostly really annoying, but anyway among all the people you knew, you liked him the best. Meanwhile Shinwon made friends everywhere he went, so whenever you made a houseparty there were around twenty people at least.
Some of them you invited yourself, usually people from your course like a few girl friends and Changgu. Some you knew, like Hyunggu - your crush since first year and coincidentally Shinwon’s best friend - or Hyojong - your mutual friend since forever. Some were his newer friends or exchange students that you have been just introduced to - Wooseok, Yanan, Yuto and some others that you couldn’t remember the name of.
They all seemed really nice and soon you were seated in a quite big circle, as big as the living room of a shared flat allowed. After introducing everyone and some small talk including finishing the first few bottles of wine, they got somehow bolder. In a blink of an eye, one of the empty bottles was in the middle of the circle and Shinwon was the first to spin it, of course. You held your breath, but fortunately it pointed to Wooseok. The two guys laughed awkwardly and decided to skip the kiss for the sake of friendship. Right after that you heard your name and it took you a moment to realize that Shinwon’s finger and everyone’s gazes were pointed at you. Was it really the rule? Could he just choose a person to play? Guess this wasn’t the time to question it, you didn’t have a choice anyway. You swallowed hard and slowly moved towards the bottle. The few seconds that it was spinning were the longest in your whole life. One, two, three turns and there it was, still, pointing in the direction of your fate. You lifted your eyes and saw Yanan’s shocked expression and a sheepish smile when he met your gaze.
“KISS! KISS! KISS!” everyone was shouting and your head started to spin a bit even though you had no alcohol at all. You looked around, unsure of what to do and saw your best friend, Shinwon, smiling wickedly at you. Your eyes then wandered back to Yanan and you saw the same hesitation in his eyes. But his gaze was warm and so was his smile, so you mirrored it and decided to go with the feel. For once in your life. When you made the first move, pushing yourself from the floor and on your knees, Yanan’s eyes got bigger for a split second and the cheering of your friends’ got louder. In no time you were closer to him than to anyone in years and felt his hand on your cheek, as he leaned in to kiss you. His lips were soft and warm and you did your best not to make it awkward. It all went smooth, almost too smooth as you haven’t even noticed when you started to deepen the kiss. To the point, that when the two of you broke apart gasping for air, the rest was silent, staring at you in awe. You looked Yanan in the eyes and he smiled warmly at you. There was no trace left of the hesitation you saw there before, just confidence and... was it a spark?
You jumped when a whistle broke the silence in the room and Shinwon started to clap slowly.
‘Wow, I really wouldn’t expect that from you two in particular,’ his smile was wide and cold, mocking.
That made you instantly realize what just happened, popping the bubble you and Yanan were in for a few moments. You looked around the room and the atmosphere was tense to say the least. However, one person caught your attention. Hyunggu was sitting there, fists clenched and eyes focused on his feet that were put tightly together. The fury was emanating from his figure however much strength he put into hiding it.
Just then someone said something and the talk rolled on again, leaving the last five minutes of awkwardness in the past. You could finally breathe out in relief and send Yanan a smile. He looked at you in that way of his again, head slightly down and a small grin, making him look like a child not daring to ask for another biscuit. He was so cute and his lips felt so good, you were starting to wonder if you just became the luckiest person on Earth.
A few moments and tons of quick glances and little smiles later, you saw Hyunggu storm out of the room. He excused himself with some other event going on this night and almost ran to the hallway. Some time and a few more bottles passed with Yanan’s hand on yours when Shinwon in a drunken voice commanded that the game should be continued while pointing in the direction he considered being that of the bottle.
At that moment panic washed over you and you backed away, leaving Yanan in the living room with the rest. You made your way to the kitchen deciding that a lot of things happened and you need some water to cool yourself down. You quickly poured yourself some of the cold liquid from the tap. The glass felt weird against your lips when you still remembered the touch of Yanan’s soft kiss on them.
‘What was that?’
Your eyes flew open immediately and you cursed yourself mentally for not switching on the light when you came in. You looked around the room trying to spot the owner of the voice.
‘What?’ you spoke cautiously, not really knowing which direction to turn to.
‘You know what,’ the words were quick and firm. You turned and there he was, standing in the door to the storage and resting his hand on the wall. Hyunggu. Your heart dropped and you couldn’t move. It’s not like you always struggled to breathe whenever he was around and now he looked ten times more intimidating, his silhouette lit up only by the faint light coming in from the hallway. He moved in your direction and in two steps he was hovering over you, your back resting uncomfortably against the cupboard.
‘You didn’t answer me,’ he began again, alcohol in his breath making you turn your head away. ‘Why him?’
‘I-it was the bottle…’ you stuttered, starting to get scared when he moved closer, resting his hand on the counter behind you.
‘Oh was it?’ he scoffed and took a few steps back, looking away. It confused you. He confused you. You wanted to explain yourself but couldn’t find the words and then he spoke again. ‘Or did he catch your eye already when he walked in? Wasn’t it so? You hoped for the bottle to stop on him, right?’ He started to move towards you again, his voice low and raspy.
‘You’re crazy,’ you decided to leave before he did something stupid. ‘Get your shit togethe-’
You were trying to walk past him, when he grabbed your arm and backed you up against a wall, planting his lips on yours, before you managed to scream. His mouth tasted bitter from all the alcohol he drank and normally you would flinch away, but right now you were more focused on the feeling of his lips moving on yours and his hands wrapped tightly around your wrists, pinning them to the wall. The kiss wasn’t as soft as Yanan’s, in fact it wasn’t gentle at all. It felt more like a demonstration than an act of love and you could already feel your lips hurting after it, but at the moment you were hypnotized. It didn’t feel magical and lovely. It was quick, hard and magnetic and you loved every second of it. You kissed him back, arching your back and felt a smirk appear on his lips. At the same moment his hands moved to your waist and hips, your arms instantly wrapping around his neck. His fingers played with the hem of your pants and ghosted all over your back, while his lips moved from your mouth to your jawline and neck, finally letting you catch a breath. Suddenly you felt his hard breathing against your ear, your fingers still tangled in his hair.
‘Was he THAT good?’ he breathed out.
You opened your mouth to reply, but at the same moment he squeezed your butt causing a shocked moan to escape your lips instead. You closed your mouth quickly and hid your face in his chest in embarrassment as he chuckled. He then let you go, with a smirk stretching his lips.
‘I guess that’s a good moment to end our fun,’ he whispered. ‘I don’t think you want your little boy to catch us.’ He winked, making your knees weak and you thanked God for the wall behind your back.
Before you could breathe out again, though, he quickly grabbed your chin once again, making you look him in the eye.
‘You know my number I suppose,’ was all he said before disappearing in the hallway, seconds before Yanan, Shinwon and a few of your female friends appeared in the kitchen entrance. They looked you up and down, confused as to why you’re standing against a wall, disheveled and screaming. Telling the truth wasn’t an option, so you went for the first thing that crossed your mind, and those are not always the smartest.
‘I thought I saw a ghost.’
