Welcome To YanSim News!

Want just one blog to check when looking for all your favorite game updates? Well, that's what we made this for! Strictly updates, no drama, just ease of access.

This blog will be run by multiple mods in order to get as much coverage of the YanSim community as possible and not miss any updates (within human capability, of course).

However - We will not be revealing the mods who run this, in order to protect their privacy, and keep community news coverage fair. At least, for now - some mods may choose to reveal themselves if they feel comfortable, prefer using sign-off tags, or any other reason. But that is up to them and them alone.

Do you have a game you'd like us to add to our coverage that we haven't featured yet?

Feel free to DM us from your games blog, and we'll keep an eye out on it for future updates! We do not accept fan submissions, however, to respect creators as well as avoid repeat requests.

General rules and expected behavior:

18+, no minors. Ageless/minor blogs will be blocked on sight.

No drama: we will not be covering community drama, "tea", gossip, rumors, or anything else. Do not bring it to our asks, DM's, reblogs, or anywhere else we can see it.

All games are equal. We update as updates are made, without favoritism or unreasonable bias. IE, we will not listen to asks saying to focus on one game more than another, or to exclude a creator who asked to be covered here and was approved.

Creators have a duty to their fanbase to acknowledge such actions and reprimand people who do them. Outreach: occasionally, if we see a game get big or if there's an interesting concept, a mod may reach out and ask if you'd like to be included here. You are free to accept or decline as you wish.

“An angel sat on one shoulder, a devil on the other. Both of them wore my face.” But you are not really sure they have your face. You are not a very religious person, so you didn’t understand why they decided to bother you exactly but at least you weren’t lonely anymore. Mirui appeared first, you remember the meeting very well, hell, it gave you a heart attack. You work in a small cafe, a gem hidden in the mud. You liked it very much, your boss was nice and you even made friends with some of the people you worked with.

Well you didn’t think it was so nice and fun now, working as the cashier reminded you about the thing you dreaded. Interactions with other beings that you do not know, see for the first time and could be really fucking mean at times. Homosapiens. A woman in her mid twenties stood in front of you, waving her hands and screaming her lungs out. Your polite smile tightens as your nails dig painfully into your forearm. She found out that what she ordered was really expensive, it’s weird because there are prices next to the stuff you guys make. The woman's face flushed deep beet red in anger, and you are pretty sure she spat on you. Ew. You heard a small chuckle followed by a loud snort and laughter from your right, it startled you, but when you looked there you saw no one. After another fit of laughter you noticed a small red thing sitting on your right shoulder. A small human-like creature. It looked back at you, eyes flickering with mischief and a small full of white sharp teeth. “You should spill that coffee on her, ya know? It’s still hot, it can’t go to waste” it said Your eyes slowly went back to the screaming woman, then on the hot coffee on the counter.

To be fired or not to be fired, that is the question. Before you even got a chance to fully think this through, your boss appeared behind you and shooed you away to deal with the customer. Your boss was a savage old lady, the customer stood no chance against her. Out of sight out of mind. The small demon muttered something, disappointed, it crossed its arms and pouted. You scurried away, to the kitchen to take your mind off of things and maybe help around a bit.

Faith appeared a few weeks after Mirui did, successfully stopping you from chugging only energy drinks, spilling coffee and doing pranks on rude customers. “Do it, do it, do it, do it!” she giggled manically, clapping her hands happily. Today Mirui decided to be feminine, she sat on your right shoulder like she always did. You noticed every day she had new outfits, very revealing of course, it made you blush slightly. “Shut up, I can't focus.” “Dear child, they might fire you.” a new voice on your left stated calmly. God damn it another one. This time a painfully white angel sat on your left shoulder. He didn’t even look at you, his attention was focused on little stone tablets sitting on his lap.

“Ew who the fuck are you” Mirui spat pointing a very sharp manicured finger on the angel.

“The only rational one here” “It looks disgusting, Y/N quickly throw it off!” she grabbed your collar and shook it violently. The angel rolled its eyes and looked at her. “Stop it demon spawn, I was sent here to make sure this disgusting-” it started but when it looked at Mirui, a look of disgust appeared on its face. “Piece of work won’t do too much damage to such a pure soul, y/n leave that salt alone.” You and Mirui groaned, you will have revenge on that karen. “You suck” “Go suck dick and shut up” “Language both of you” “Ew, let’s call it Faith or Angelico or something, it’s basic- just like it” Mirui gagged. Faith went back to his stone tablets, not looking at you or the demon. Even though it wasn’t looking, you could feel how he judges you. In the end, they didn’t leave you alone. 

You wake and fall asleep to their constant bickering. You figured it’s because Mirui is a demon, and Faith is an angel. Or maybe it’s because they are so different? It makes you tired honestly. Yet their different personalities and behaviors made your life a little bit more interesting.

Faith sat on the edge of the couch, watching as Mirui did a little fashion show. You were forced to watch too,  he wouldn’t leave you alone if you didn’t. Your eyesight got a little blurry, you were tired. Very very tired, so in the end you couldn’t help but just doze off. Mirui noticed it first, giddy as he returned to his normal size. Giggling and swinging his feet as he watched you slowly fall asleep. Carefully, he gets up to sit right next to you. He sighed dreamily as he played with you hair. Aren’t you just the cutest? Naive too, just perfect. He nuzzled against your cheek, smiling widely. He could feel how warm your body was, hell he could even smell you. Mirui covered his mouth with his hand to prevent the laughter that was slowly bubbling up.

He heard a very loud scoff from Faith and when he looked at them, they had a very unpleasant look on their face.

“What’s up?” he smiled „Jealous?”

„It’s disgusting how you cling to them when they are asleep.” Faith hissed

“Oh is the baby mad because they don’t have the balls to actually get this close?” Mirui smiled proudly, cuddling up to you even closer than possible. You stirred a bit in your sleep, your pretty face scrunching in confusion before returning to a calm state. He closed his eyes and tried to fall asleep on your side, only to be yanked back by his hair by Faith. “Back off, you demon scum” “Oh oh careful now or I might start to like it” “I am serious Mirui” Faith hissed, grabbing the demon's throat as they squeezed it painfully. Their touch was painful, Mirui swore he heard a small sizzling which made him hiss. “leave, they are mine and you knew that.” “fuck off, I love them more than your sorry ass does.” he said as he tried to get away from the angel.

It happened a lot, especially when you slept. None of them wanted to give you up, let the other have your love and attention which resulted in fighting. Oh how surprised you would be if you found out that those arguments were about you, and they didn’t just appear out of thin air. Hell they have known you way before you even noticed their existence. Always there, in the background, watching, listening, admiring. Mirui was first to approach, thinking that Faith would eventually back off, and then he wouldn’t need to kill them, but they didn’t. 

And Faith, well, at first they didn’t know about Mirui, but when he eventually wanted to meet you he saw that little red slut sitting on your shoulder whispering sins. Oh their poor sweetheart, tainted and tortured by a monster. He decided to watch for a bit then appear as your savior.Now both of them are stuck being next to each other almost all the time, none of them would give up though. They will stay by your side.

Your eyes slowly open to see a white and red blob strangling each other. Your face twists into a frown, before sighing and going back to sleep.

Hey everyone! It's, uh, it's certainly been a minute.

If my brief return a few months ago and then radio silence yet again is any indicator, I'm sure most of y'all probably know where this is going.

HOMECOMING, as of now (and for the indefinite future) is going to be on hiatus, and maybe discontinued.

This project initially started out as a silly idea, a culmination of my love for the yandere vn community and the wonderful games it has created, and my original plot and cast of characters. In the beginning, I was trucking along, working on scripts, planning out routes, spending hours of research on coding and how to get this thing up and running. Not to mention, the attention my silly lil project garnered was a lot. At least to me. I've had a semi popular writing blog before, and was no stranger to inbox asks, and how they pile up, or the notes that popular posts can get.

I was far too ambitious in all honesty, and once the glitz and glamor of a new project wore off, I hit a massive wall. Hard. It seemed that to actually work on HOCO was much like pulling teeth - whether it was writing, drawing, or even *thinking* about it, I found myself sinking further and further into a imposter syndrome of sorts.

And well, I guess making this announcement is sort of proving it right.

Even so, I've always known when to take a step back, when to settle down -- and now, I'm just making it official. I owe you all at least that much.

The blog will be staying up - I have no plans to delete it in the slightest. I'll just log out of it most likely - I'll still be around on my personal tumblr, where I'll hopefully start being more active there again.

Nothing could have prepared me for just how much care, how much love you guys have shown HOCO - so much so, it's still hard to believe. All the fanart, the fanfic, the memes - they're all saved to my phone, in their own album. Thank you to all who have made amazing creations for my silly characters, as well as the countless asks y'all have sent - maybe one day I'll be able to answer all of them.

I really hope one day I can return to this project with fresh eyes -- I'm hoping real, substantial time away from it will help that process. There are other, personal projects that I've been doing that have helped that creative spark again, as well as indulging in traditional fandom activities, mostly fanart. Unfortunately, I think it's safe to say that my time in the Yan VN community is over for the time being, at least until/if I start working on HOCO again. (Or whenever I play the latest updates of 14DWY - I am the Leon Fan Club President after all ^^).

I've been rambling too long, and I think it's time to close this chapter for now. Thank you all again - and one last Henry for the road. They were there since the beginning of HOCO in 2019, so it feels right for them to be here at the end.

Virgil Evans is an oc I had since childhood. At first he was roleplay character I use for, well, roleplay! Fior Rosehearts (based off of the White Queen) and Jasper Woods (based off of the Jabberwocky!) but eeee I’m so excited for the Glorious Masquerade event!

What Are My Boundaries?

YAYAYAY most of the yans are great friends with Diva and Eddie!!!!

However there are some that have a closer relationship, like Diva is dating Krow from @thekrows-nest in an au Winn and I made, but she also has smth going on with Ezra from @restartheartvn (However I haven’t been in contact with Lily in a while 😞 I missy them)

Eddie also is gay with close to Ren from 14dwy (again in an au!!!!) In the same au, Diva and Ren have a sibling kind of friendship 👍🏼

I’ve really been wanting to interact a lot more with the shawties as well as make new yan friends for my twins 🧍🏻‍♀️.I’m a little too shy to be asking tho….

Still no one has made a message that they received their packages. Granted, those overseas WILL be forced to wait just a bit longer than those in the States here. Because of this, I've not made any listings for the remaining keychains. I want to sell them off. But this event is really holding me back. I'm tired of checking all my emails or socials for any hopeful news. Once I get news, I feel like I can relax and make the official listing.

Either way.. I have decided that those who preordered will still get to enjoy DITO, but in a different format. Think of it as a previewing. As a way to make amends. And when the Demo comes out, they will get the link to the file BEFORE the public release.

I'm so emotionally tired. I'm so depressed over this BS. If that wasn't bad enough, I have to reroute how I make my VN because of the Unity BS. What I was using, practically uses Unity as a base. Granted. I will not be popular enough, nor will I make a lot of money on this game. My Demo is determined to be free and stay free no matter what, especially as I update the game with more Yans for Morogh to pose as. DITO is foremost a love letter after all. But I need to seek out a new way of doing this as there is a feature that I want to implement that Renpy would prolly won't allow at this time.

I'll figure something out.. But I am very tired.. I will need to kick my ass to take care of myself again. I can't progress if I keep stressing without solutions, right?

I'm a GNC transmasc so I put a lot of myself and my experiences into Lowell, and I just so happen to love yan and murdersim vns! It seemed to me that especially since there were so many trans folks in those fandoms that there was a big gap in representation for us.

Wither is a possessive and somewhat delusional yan. He thinks MC is the most precious human alive, and he doesn’t think the rest of humanity is good enough to deserve them- he wants to keep them all to himself and protect them from the horrors of the human world.

His weapon is himself and the natural world around him, since he can manipulate his shape and the growth and formation of new plant and fungal life.

Primarily his goal would be to keep MC in the forest away from humans and any possible harm that might come to them, and is more interested in keeping them to himself than doing any kind of concrete harm, but that doesn’t mean he WOULDN’T hurt someone to get to MC- in fact, he’s capable of pretty extreme destruction if he felt inclined to do so, and the scope of his powers are pretty frightening. It wouldn’t be difficult for him to level a town if he felt it was necessary.
