If you're still here in 2023, YandereDev groomed another girl. And this time he has manipulated her into retracting the story and defending him. He's been in contact with her since she was 9 and now she's a mod in his Discord server. Anyone who tries to DM her asking about the situation gets banned. The Osana subreddit has info and so does Decepticommie on TikTok. Many volunteers and VAs quit the project as well, including the voices of Ayano and Senpai.

For a long time, I had strongly felt that I'd said everything I needed to say on the subject, and so I set this blog aside and focused on other matters in my life. But a friend abreast of the situation recently updated me on these latest happenings and I had to chime in again. It frustrated me to no end that I couldn't substantiate my side of the story with any definitive proof - and now the truth is plain for everyone with functioning eyes to see, at the cost of yet another minor being victimized. Who's to say how many people he's preyed on between then and now...I see comments all the time from people claiming to have had less-than-savory encounters with him or worse, and I'm sure there are many more who either don't think anything of it or are enjoying the attention who will only later realize how it's affected them. It took me years to really understand why my interactions with Eva were a big deal at the time, and making my voice heard in order to try to prevent as many people from falling victim to him as possible became the only correct course of action for me.

Without substantiative evidence, my voice only reached so far. But, finally, thanks to this girl coming forward, people are abandoning his project and leaving him to dry. Like he deserves. It's a small justice; really he should be in prison. But if some good can come out of this, if we can prevent more abuse from happening in the future, then we can breathe some small sigh of relief that things are moving in the right direction at last.

all the fallout from the yandere sim dev is crazy to me. it's like y'all are shouting there was a fork found in the kitchen. it has been quite widely known that he is a creep and likes children, and his distain for even japan's national age of consent should have been enough to tip people off. while i am glad people are no longer working with/associating with him, it makes me wonder why they were letting it slide for so long.

I’ve posted this on just about every single one of my social medias, but I just feel like people really need to get a grip on the situation about Yandere Dev.

I don’t understand why everyone is acting so surprised about him coming out as a child groomer and not the fact that it’s a single digit minor, a nine year old.

I’m not even surprised but I wish everyone was at LEAST shocked about that because this man has had grooming allegations beforehand,multiple times.

This is the same man who:

Made the game because he was criticized, but took it as an insult from his favorite game developers about the game he made inspired by them

Made a whole mechanic about taking non-consensual pictures of HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS PANTIES

Got mad and made a rant when people said they wanted it out of the game because it’s creepy

Heavily sexualize the outfit, especially in the artwork of his female characters

Made the skirts extremely short 

The whole thing of senpai’s sister and how it’s very incest coded

When people talked about the panty shots and also the body pillows of these highschoolers, he said that all his characters are 18 and over butter obviously around 16 and 17 

The whole thing of him saying that he believes that minors at a certain age (which I believe was 14) should take a test and get a permit to say that they’re able to have sex with people 

Like why is this so shocking? These aren’t even all the things he has said and done. Did we all just had a memory loss orgy and shoved everything in a box in the very back of the basement? Like it’s so bizarre that we’re acting shocked about this?

One of his previous grooming allegations his excuse is that she lied about being over the age of 18. That was all he had to say.

I just needed to rant about this again because I really don’t understand why this is so shocking to the internet. He made videos on reacting to all of these.

Oh and someone mentioned that he put his sex toy in the game, but I don’t know if that’s true, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it is.

The guy scoffs, abruptly shoving the disc into your chest. "I don't care. You clearly don't believe me. Just get this away from me, and I'll leave!"

It's not like he's giving you much of a choice. Your hold on the disc tightens as you watch him finally run away from your house. What an asshole. With furrowed eyebrows, you slam your door shut.

A huff escapes your chest. You take a proper look at the game... An anime girl dating simulator? Seriously? He harrassed you over this?

You were being genuine when you said you can't do anything to a disc. The source code is long gone for this one, you assume. You don't think the company that made this game even exists anymore.

It's just your basic dating simulator with cliché storylines. You've been playing for hours, even finishing one romantic route, yet nothing has happened. The clock reads 1:54 AM. So much for being such a dangerous game.

You exit the game, unplug the computer, and head straight to bed. Drowsiness has been bothering you throughout the whole gameplay, so now you're going to give in to it.

Eventually, gentle snores escapes your sleeping figure.

... Something in your dark room lights up.

The sprite merely stares at you as you sleep.

You reach for the leftovers in the fridge, heating them in an unplugged microwave.

The cold meal spins round and round.

A pop of noise springs up behind you. You turn, smiling, to find toasted bread from the unplugged toaster.

Checking the time, the clock reads 7:40 AM. You have a meeting in about fifty minutes.

A confused eyebrow raises. Maybe there's something you missed in the settings. Either way, you right-click the icon and close the game without a second thought.

Time ticks by.

"We currently have plans for a new mode, and testing with the coders will follow in—"

You gasp in surprise as the game music blares again, this time much, much louder. It vibrates against your ears at full volume, and one of your hands shoots up to cover an ear.

"The hell," you murmur, your brows furrowing as you hastily close the game.

"In line with this, we're also considering a Halloween event for us indie volunteers!—"

Shit!

It’s so loud! Romance Academy forces its way to the front of your screen, no longer hidden behind the other windows. Did that guy somehow give you a virus?? This is way too distracting!

You move your cursor the exit button, clicking it rapidly.

... There's no use. The app just won't close.

Suddenly, you can't hear your director's voice anymore. Or anyone, for that matter; your whole room cloaks in silence.

...

One by one, the apps close.

The dating simulator remains open, the last one standing.

A frown pulls your lips. Yeah, no.

You stand up, ready to unplug your computer, but horror washes over your face as you realize it’s already fucking unplugged.

Ha.

Hahahaha.

You make it a point to unplug everything you use to save on your bills, and for the environment.

“Hahahaha. Cute. You're so cute.”

You stare at the animation on the screen.

This is beyond your comprehension. That guy isn't insane, after all.

You have to leave.

Grabbing your bag, you scurry out from the room.

The house is bright. It's morning.

“I know you're reading my words."

You open the front door.

The cold air whips against your face.

“You read this for me, did you not?"

You walk away from your house.

Every step gradually becomes faster.

Who can you even call for a situation like this? Surely not the cops.

“And don't ever stop reading! If you do, you'll leave me."
