this is lowkey far fetched but like say in doomsday it’s one of those things where the avengers have to go around and recruit all the other teams like x-men, fantastic four, thunderbolts, etc. and obviously sam is gonna go get bucky (because honestly, who else could successfully ask bucky to help fight some cosmic enemy without rejection?) and the scene is just one of those CLICHE things where sam goes to whatever courthouse or auditorium or wherever and bucky is giving a speech and sam just sits in the back and watches (and the speech is painfully relevant to the matter at hand, cue inspirational music) and at some point bucky spots sam in the crowd and just kind of makes eye contact, pauses, and continues but suddenly he’s speaking a LOT faster and starts wrapping it up despite the fact that he definitely had like three more pages to get through. and then like it’s over and sam goes up to meet him and bucky just BEELINES to sam and the cliche “nice speech” shit happens and bucky’s like “yeah yeah yeah ik ik ik stop STOP IT” and then sam gets all serious like “u know why im here right” and bucky’s just like “… where are we going?” no questions, not even a “why?” just immediately is like let’s go! let’s run into a battle i know nothing about! because sam! said so!

tldr down bad bucky goes from esteemed congressman to avenger at the flip of a coin bc sam asked

My favorite Anti argument against Rhys is the insistence that he should be forcing the CoN and Illyrians to drop their misogynistic traditions, because that’s just not how good governance works.
