Is anyone else's mind blown by AFO's and The Doctor's connection to not only Shiggy, but Chisaki as well and the theory that's been blowing up all week? Just me? Something about Chisaki and Shigaraki's quirks were suspiciously similar to each other, so many things add-up!
Always though their backstories were paralleled too with both being picked up off the streets and raised by leader of the underground, Pops and AFO. Their shared trauma and allergic reaction, or "itching" could be a side effect of their quirks, skin sensitivity, both or shared PTSD.
Both Shiggy and Chisaki wanting to become the next "King of the Underworld."
Yup, definitely not leaving my head anytime soon.
Maybe me working on my Overhaul x Villain OC doesn't help since I already had the thought of the two sharing traits too XD

Idea.
An AU where AFO and The Boss switch protégé, Overhaul now being raised as Shigaraki Kai and Shigaraki Tomura now being raised as Chisaki Tenko. I don’t care about Overhaul so for a brief summary on him: he still has his rash thing, wears the bird mask, and his Yakuza underlings are now his version of the League.
Anyway, onto Tenko. The Boss cares for him and teaches him the way of the Yakuza, and he always wears either archery or artist gloves to prevent any quirk accidents; The Boss also gets him some much needed therapy, so while he still has the lingering guilt and trauma, it’s nothing like it was for Shigaraki Tomura, It’s discovered his scratching isn’t allergies but a stress coping mechanism and he still does it, though not as badly as it was.
Tenko is loyal to The Boss (or Pops, as Tenko is allowed to call him) and it’s why at 18 he’s chosen to become the bodyguard of his daughter’s daughter, 3 year old Eri who just accidentally rewound her father and her mother disowned her for being a “monster”, which helps Tenko bond with her over the shared trauma of thinking themselves monsters. Pops lets him set up his own team to help and he ends up with the League, all who make Pops raise his eyebrows (save for Mr. Compress, who seems to know a concerning amount about yakuza etiquette) but all prove themselves loyal so they’re allowed to live. Dabi is the only one who’s shifty but he’s under contract that states they’ll help him ruin Endeavour and give him protection in exchange for his service so he’s all in.
However, Pops ends up in a coma when Tenko turns 20 and Tenko becomes the de-facto leader until Eri is deemed old enough to lead or Pops wakes up. 
So while Tenko runs the place, Eri gets to live her best life as a spoiled Yakuza princess she’s always meant to be, though she’s still very timid and has a hard time just saying what she wants even though she has people who trip over themselves to grant her wishes. She enjoys playing with Toga and Twice, elaborate and silly tea parties with Magne, listening to Spinner’s passionate if confusing rants on Stain, watching pretty fire displays from Dabi, magic shows from Mr. Compress, and peaceful evening with Tenko.
It is discovered they can use Eri’s blood to make quirk erasing bullets, so every couple of weeks she’s brought in and her blood is drawn. She doesn’t mind since it’s only a little uncomfortable and Tenko takes her out for ice-cream afterwards. Since many can’t be made at a time, they keep these bullets separate and only to use for special occasions. 
Tragedy strikes when information gets leaked that the yakuza have quirk canceling bullets and a vague idea of how they’re made. Eri ends up kidnapped by Overhaul for The Doctor to experiment on, right in front of some hero students. So now, not only do they have some pissed off heroes after them, they also have all of the yakuza hunting them down for daring to take their princess. It’s probably the first time heroes and yakuza unite against a common enemy.
Eri will make it back safe and Tenko is going to make all of them regret every being born.

shie hasaikai take care of overhuals baby
How you think they would act with child? No new born maybe a toddler? Or older.
Kaoru is son of kai and tomura (yeah I ship them, shut up.) his quirk is both of his parents left side tomura right kai. Almost every hc is for 5 years old, but not every.
Kaoru look: he has red eyes lighter then tomura. His hair are brown and curly(after kai mom) he look just like tomura but he have kai stare. Sometimes 8 bullets are scare about that. Kai no comment that and tomura think is cute. he have round face and I think is soo cute. His perosnality is 78%tomura 7%kai and 15% his own.
1.shin nemoto
°he offen take care of kaoru when he was baby he loved shin so much, he even call him "dada". Shin thought he is so dead in overhual eyes. Overhual was furiours about that, but tomura calm him.
° When karou is 5 he spend less time with shin but still do.
°he love go under his cape ,when kaoru was baby he loved crawls on neomot cape and pull it.
°Kaoeu love play shin glasses
°Nemoto always try be best afront kaoru beacuse he don't want upset overhual. He still love that child.
2.setsuno toya
°He and shin is fav uncles.
°Setsuno is the fun one he always make joke for kaoru and even play with him.
°Kaoru don't need to ask about it(setsuno secretly love play childish toys, and play with kaoru is just cover for that).
°He don't grab kaoru to hand when he was baby beacuse he was too scare to hurt him. Tomura always say its nothing to be scare but toya still refuse, but he still make funny faces to kaoru.
° When kaoru was little he call setsuno "sese" that was his 3th word.
°of course he don't perfect one time when kaoru was 4 setsuno put his vape(yes his vape he don't smoke cigarrets and his fav flavor is grape) kaoru thought its something to drink. So he grab that, he puffed and he start cough. Tengai hear that and saw what happen. He was soo mad on toya for that.
°he play rap when they drive car and he always tell kaoru to not say about this to none(Tomura also do this my hc is tomura is huge fan of eminem, afroman and 2pac)
3.rappa
Yeah... They don't like eachother, kaoru mostly, beacuse rappa is mean to Shigaraki. Rappa is to tough for ours little muffin,Tengai always admonishes rappa for that. One time he make ugly bruise on the side of the abdomen then kaoru broke two rappas hand and say he don't cure them and rappa was so pist of he tell about that tomura but tomura says he is of kaoru side in this beacuse is his fault and he was mad too obviously beacuse he punch his baby. (that happen when kaoru was 13 years) (tomura is overcare of kaoru, he don't show this but he still think about it and care) overhaul was on a business trip so rappa must wait 2 weeks for overhual back to yakuza and help him.
4.hojo yuyu
°Hojo is fav uncle number 3.
°Kaoru loved be in his hand.
° He also loved touch his bald head, that was hillarious.
°A couple times Some were afraid of his look or tell not nice stuff about him. Kaoru was mad about this and that They had to listen to the rebuke from a 5-year-old .
°He love uncle hojo and none can talk shit about him.
°Hojo always said that was not neccesery, but he still appreciated how kaoru think good about him.
°He fell better wit someone like that.
°Hojo teach some fun stuff kaoru and after that kaoru always tell everyone what he teached and with proud sayed that was from hojo.
5. Deidaro sakaki
°He don't good at kids.
°Kaoru never was babysitting be him, but still like watch drunk deidaro and he laught of that.
°Also deidaro teach something kaoru, but that was inappropriate and kaoru know what is slut in his 4 and blowjob when he was 7 and all other stuff.
°When someone doesn't want tell kaoru about something beacuse this was not comfort subject and they tell "he get that when he grown up'' he now he must go to deidaro give him some beer and he gonna know.
°When his parents one time hear deidaro explaim what is anal sex to they 6 son they was so fourious and kaoru had Prohibition of talking to deidaro.
° Also fun fact is deidaro never know how old is kaoru
6.tengai
°Tengai care of kaoru and show him how nature and peace are beatifull and important.
°Kaoru also like try make tengai open eyes or make smile of his face.
°Tengai always caoutius other memeber to watch of they language when kaoru is in room, even when kaoru is 15, tengai still do it.
7.tabe
°they don't spend a lot of time. Always they with someone mostly with setsuno.
°when he try feed kaoru and show him how tasty is baby food he eat food and spoon, kaoeu loved that and start laught
°beacuse of that tabe start like eat baby food and always finishing it for kaoru.
°kaoru love look in tabe mouth but tabe was scare and refuse to do that, he don't want bite him.
8.katsume
°can't hold kaoru untill he was 8 months for his security.(overhual think its still too early)
°but when he arledy take first time kaoru in hand he was soo happy he start stamping and sayed"o yey! o yey! " everyone start calm him down.
°he was in shock how kaoru is tiny in his hand and love touch his cheeks by his fingers.
°he still like hug kaoru really hard one times almost katsume crash his ribs.
°Katsume always is so upset and say sorry 100× when he do something to kaoru.
9.mimic
°they don't like eachother. Kaoru hate him.
°mimic always say what kaoru do wrong
°kaoru hate scriming so aoutoamic he don't like mimic
°one time kaoru kick mimic like rugby ball he take that from Tomura, shigaraki also don't likes with mimic.
°they always argue.
°mimic alwyas critical kaoru about what he do. Kai always pick mimic site this piss off kaoru.
°but when someone do something wrong with kaoru or is mean Mimic will scream about that and help kaoru.
10.Hari kurono(chrono)
°At start hari wasn't be good think about baby in yakuza but he don't say anything about this to Chisaki.
°he like kaoru, but don't love.
°He talk with him or do something with him only when overhual tell him to do this.
°everyone thought hari would be the cloest to baby, but no. They was in shock.
°He teach kaoru about shooting.
Kaoru also loved climb on katsume and hojo and sometimes on rappa.

no matter which way you look at Shigadabi's relationship, it's undeniable that Dabi is Shigaraki's special boy and it makes the LOV's dynamic additionally hilarious.
*almost kills Toga just because she was standing next to Dabi when he was being a little bitch* 'everyone I've decided to put this guy in charge'

Things I want to talk about/touch upon/see people mention more but cannot compile individual coherent posts about:
1. The fact Pops’ daughter apparently had a “falling out” with Pops (over her marriage??) that caused her to completely abandon the yakuza and maybe also cut contact with Pops (the dude is suspicious guys)
2. The fact that in the Overhaul-LOV initial meeting, Chisaki had to have intentionally chosen not to kill Mr. Compress.
3. The idea that many of Chisaki’s thought processes at least partially stem from his time in AFO’s facility. And of course, Pops.
4. How much Chisaki seems to lack a proper reaction to any sort of pain (He was beat to a pulp by Mirio & Midoriya, exploded himself, & got his arms cut off and I’ve never heard him so much as yelp) while still complaining about how overhauling himself hurts?? Yet he doesn’t show it.
5. (Highway scene) How Chisaki only screamed once the realization he wouldn’t be able to ever wake up Pops sunk in (isn’t confirmed but. I’m convinced).
6. The fact that there’s absolutely no way Chisaki wasn’t negatively impacted by being raised in the Yakuza. It’s simply inherent.
7. The blatant disregard Pops had to have had for both Chisaki and Eri’s well-beings to have designated Chisaki as her caretaker.
8. The endless amounts of potential for Chisaki & Dabi/Touya dynamics post-war, platonic or otherwise. (Multiple fics with this premise in my WIPs, lol)
9. The fact Chisaki seems practically incapable of holding a grudge. Like, think about it; is there a character you can say Chisaki genuinely, wholeheartedly hates and wishes the worst upon. You know what—what IS his opinion on Shigaraki/the LOV these days??
10. Realizing that in the initial Overhaul-LOV meeting, Chisaki literally just tone-matched them. Look:

Mr Compress says all that, and then Chisaki later explains:

Which, once you break down what Mr Compress said/how he said it, and what Chisaki said/how he said it… blunt statement of facts. Mr Compress told Toga how faded out the Yakuza have become with no sugarcoating, and Chisaki took that and said. “Well. Yeah.” But then when Chisaki did the same thing (blunt but true & valid criticisms of the LOV/Shigaraki’s leading skills (bc let’s be real, he was an ass leader at the time in terms of actual planning and execution)), the LOV got pissed. He pointed out all the relevant flaws and mistakes in Shigaraki’s leadership and then said it’d be better if he was the leader because he actually has a plan, and they got pissed at the mere prospect of serving under somebody else. Do you realize how much the story would’ve been altered if the LOV didn’t decide to just start attacking Chisaki here?? 💀 Sorry I’m exceptionally passionate about this bc the fandom gaslit me for a while into believing Chisaki was the one starting shit here 😔 but then I read it (a long time after I'd watched it in the anime) and was like. "what. he didn't initiate literally any of this shit. and everything he's saying is true??"

Based on ch.429, the theme of My Hero Academia is anyone can be a hero.
A insignificant, quirkless high schooler can be a hero. A hero-hating vigilante can be a hero, a yakuza hellbent on destroying quirks can be a hero, the “Symbol of Fear” can be a hero, an old lady can be a hero, etc..

There’s a lot of examples throughout the manga. Shigaraki is the League’s hero, Toga and Twice are each other’s, Overhaul’s men see him as a hero, Re-Destro to the MLA, Stain to All Might. Toga to Ochaco. Even AFO to Yoichi.

The problem isn’t the theme, but the execution of it. We see Izuku struggle through the first half of MHA with his new quirk, then he suddenly becomes OP. Izuku could only become a hero because of his quirk. If he remained quirkless, he would have never gotten into U.A. He didn’t earn his power, he got it because of happenstance. All Might could only fight AFO because of his armor upgrades. The best example of a truly quirkless hero fighting a villain is Mirio vs. Overhaul.

Then, Izuku is supposed to be Shigaraki's hero. It doesn’t make sense, there’s so little history between them. The only time, they ever talk is when Shigaraki is just stepping into his role as a villain. The problem is, Horikoshi showed this villain family that cared for each other. Izuku only wanted to save the crying child, Tenko, while Spinner wanted to save his hero, Shigaraki. The League should have been Shigaraki’s hero, not his master's rival's successor.

Eri's grandfather saw her quirk as something similar to Shigaraki's - "the power to annihilate". Overhaul discovered that Eri's quirk was actually rewinding living things, but it's easy to see why the boss thought her quirk was destruction. The mechanism might be completely different - rewinding out of existence (Eri) versus breaking things down into particles (Overhaul and Shigaraki), but the end result was still destruction.
It's unfortunate the narrative never did anything with the potential foil that is Kotaro and the Shie Hassaikai boss. There is a parallel between Kotaro and Eri's mom in that after Eri and Tenko accidentally killed one parent after losing control of their quirks, the other parent rejected them.
But the contrast between the Shie Hassaikai boss and Kotaro is crunchy. The boss accepted Eri even with her quirk and acted in what he believed was in her best interest versus Kotaro who rejected Tenko. The boss's issue was that he was a bad judge of character of what help to turn to for Eri...and/or potentially a lack of resources to address quirks like Eri or Tenko's even with well meaning guardians like the boss.
The Shie Hassaikai boss, like Kotaro, was the patriarch who controlled his "house" in that he set the values that everyone else was expected to follow. The boss tried to reform Chisaki by bringing him into the yakuza so he would have a strict moral code to follow, but Chisaki only adopted the hierarchy and the bare bones of an ambition while abandoning everything else. The boss was shown trying to engage in a dialogue with Chisaki multiple times during his flashbacks. Kotaro, on the other hand, reacted aggressively to any challenge to his worldview and his ideal home even when that challenge can from his own young child. There's something about how one of the villains was shown to be one of the more well intentioned guardians (the Shie Hassaikai boss) versus several of the worst parents in BNHA being civilians (Kotaro, Eri's mom, Toga's parents, etc.)

Figured I'd share my questions to Horikoshi-Sensei
Will we learn more backstory for Kai Chisaki? How he ended up in Dr Garaki's orphanage?
Will we get a My Villain Academia spin-off novels in the future for The League or Shie Hassaikai?
How did Kai and Hari met? What's Kai's favorite food? Did Pops give him his green and feathered coat?
Do any of the eight bullets have the classic yakuza tattoo's?
Did Dabi or Overhaul ever have a girlfriend or partner in the series that we don't know about?
If Mon had lived would he still be with Tomura?
What jobs would the members of The League have, if they were in our world?
Does Kai know that Tomura Shigaraki has a copy of his quirk?
The first 2 question are the ones I really, really wanna know!
The rest were just random ones that popped into my head XD

Chisaki was wasted
With the MHA manga ending and getting an end to Chisaki’s story I have just a couple of things to say.  Most importantly wtf was that. Fortunately in every other piece of media I chose to consume my favorite character is usually one of the main ones or at the very least they are a fan favorite, originally when I started to watch MHA I fell in love with Bakugou but then everything changed when I saw season four and laid my eyes on Mr. Evil Bird Man. I was not expecting Horikoshi to dive into characters who really despised quirks and their existence. It was a fresh perspective on the series and as we got to learn more about  Chisaki I started to understand him more and more. I know fans of the show sometimes make jokes about being reincarnated into the show and being born with a hammer for a head. At first it would be fun to go into your favorite series, but the implications of that universes rules can seriously mess you up. For example Dabi’s flames burn him. Quirks are not always a blessing they can be a curse, a sickness. 
I believe Chisaki was the first character to bring this up maybe besides characters like Skinner showing that he was bullied for his. Quirks are terrifying when you think about their potential effects, Eri accidentally killed her parents when she got hers and Shigaraki killed his when he manifested an altered version of overhaul. This brings up my next point. Why did nobody dwell on the fact that decay is the first half of overhaul?? Dose this not imply that Chisaki was experimented on as a kid as well? Is that why he is fine doing it to Eri since he clearly shows no remorse to her for his actions, only Pops? Is there some sort of trauma with him and that that he never addressed so he believes that what hypothetically happened to him was okay? Is that why he doesn’t care that he did the same pain onto Eri? This is where my issue lies. Chisaki was used as nothing more than a plot point to push the story further. We barley know anything about him. Why is he the way he is? There are so many unanswered questions. 
Chisaki was used to introduce Nighteye, the big three and Eri’s quirk so there was a way to defeat All For One. He doesn’t get expanded on past the bare minimum which I think is insane for a show that has as many flashbacks that it has. The time line we have is that he was in one of All For Ones orphanages, he was somehow on the streets, Pops picked him up, he got into fights growing up defending his fathers honor and he was never really stopped from continuing to do so, then he’s a grown adult and we see his crazy plan being told to his father and he freaks out to then Kai needing to please and repay him so bad he did with anyway. Did Pops not give him enough love and reassurance growing up? Why did he feel the need to go out of his way to help his family. We know the Yakuza was weaker, were they being mistreated? If so why were they allowed to exist if they were just going to be mistreated?
Next thing I want to talk about is Pops and Kai’s reunion, I’m so upset that Pops was somehow woken up via technology. They should have just left him in the coma if Chisaki wasn’t going to get his quirk back. Now I like how Chisaki didn’t get his quirk back but it would have been so easy for him to with the way other characters quirks evolved, like Toga being able to use other people’s quirks of the blood she took, why couldn’t Overhaul turn into creating matter or having skin touch not just hands touch? How hard was it for Pops to be one of the civilians Shigaraki killed and Kai to go into such a panic that his quirk evolves and he helps the heros or goes after Shigaraki himself??? Which brings me to my next hot take. The only reason people hate Overhaul is because we got to meet his victim personally. Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga, all killed and hurt others but their crimes get overlooked because we never knew the names, faces, or anything really about the people who’s lives were taken. I’m not excusing Overhauls behavior whatsoever because the whole Eri thing was insane. I don’t understand why he couldn’t have just taken her hair, or sweat or something. Why blood??? If he needed her DNA it’s literally all over her, you really needed her blood? Okay crazy. ANOTHER THING THATS CRAZY IS POPS COMMENT. What do you mean Hari should have done better? This guy seems to love putting his problems onto other people, Kai is Hari’s problem, Eri was Kai’s problem. Dude you are his Dad maybe if YOU parented him he wouldn’t have turned out like this. Hari was his somewhat equal you had power not him.
Another thing people get mad about is the killing of Magne, she attacked first, just saying.
Lastly him losing his arms was beautiful irony. Yakuza getting fingers cut off for messing up in missions, him cutting off Compresses arm, him wanting to destroy Quirks. Shigaraki was a twisted genius when cutting off Overhauls arms. I’m not mad about him getting the consequences of his actions. I’m just upset he was never expanded on and the fandom collectively hating his surface level character when he had and has so much potential. 
I might type more later I just wanted to get this off of my chest.

Enough to Go by (Chapter 14) - a Shigaraki x f!Reader fic
Your best friend vanished on the same night his family was murdered, and even though the world forgot about him, you never did. When a chance encounter brings you back into contact with Shimura Tenko, you'll do anything to make sure you don't lose him again. Keep his secrets? Sure. Aid the League of Villains? Of course. Sacrifice everything? You would - but as the battle between the League of Villains and hero society unfolds, it becomes clear that everything is far more than you or anyone else imagined it would be. When you agreed to be Tenko’s sidekick, playing for keeps this time, you made a promise to yourself that you wouldn’t involve anyone else. You broke that promise almost immediately, but Kazuo made you break it, so you decided it doesn’t count. Your friends who were killed in the Kamino incident weren’t dragged into it by you specifically, but you’re still part of the reason they died, so you have to count them, too. Mitsuru’s stayed out of it by having a girlfriend and being too busy to notice whatever the hell you’re up to, and Yoshimi’s got enough to worry about with her illness. You never wanted your friends to get caught up in this. You thought you’d hidden it well enough to keep Mitsuko and Ryuhei safe, too.
Except now Ryuhei and Mitsuko have met Tenko, and they’ve become the League’s first ever sleeper agents. Every time the two of them show up at your apartment, for any reason, League-related or otherwise, you can’t help feeling like you’ve failed them. You feel like you’ve failed Tenko, too.
Tenko’s not here today. He’s been spending at least some time at the new hideout Overhaul provided in order to keep up appearances, and with Kurogiri on another mission, it’s harder to move people back and forth safely. Toga and Twice are embedded with the yakuza full-time, which means you haven’t heard from them other than a request from Toga to go thrifting and find her a new coat. It’s cold in the Hassaikai base. Compress is usually at the new hideout, too – now that he’s got his prosthetic, your services are no longer needed. The people who spend the most time at your apartment now are Dabi and Spinner. And your friends from before.
Dabi and Spinner aren’t here today, but your friends are supposed to be here at any moment, and as soon as the thought crosses your mind, you hear the secret knock on the door – followed by an order to “let us in, you criminal”, which sort of defeats the purpose of a secret knock. You unlock the door and open it. They both push past you eagerly, only to pause, disappointed, when they realize your apartment is empty. “Come on,” Ryuhei complains. “I wanted to meet the rest of them.”
“Not even your weird boyfriend’s here? Lame,” Mitsuko agrees. “I wanted to give him this.”
She’s holding your high school yearbook. “Why?”
“So he can see all the bad haircuts he missed out on. This –” Mitsuko gestures at you “ – is the result of five years of my influence on your fashion sense. He owes me.”
“Yeah. I’ll be sure to let him know.” You’ll show Tenko the yearbook when hell freezes over. You shut the door. “Do you guys have questions about any of the stuff we talked about last time?”
“No. I don’t care that I’m not fighting,” Mitsuko says. “My quirk sucks for it.”
“Not if you fine-tuned it enough. If you could sense people’s intentions towards you really closely, you’d be able to tell their moves ahead of time,” Ryuhei says. “My quirk could be good for fighting, though. Is he sure he doesn’t want me fighting?”
“Yes,” you say. Tenko was impressed by Ryuhei’s quirk, but if Ryuhei gets captured, he’ll be a potential link to you, and Tenko’s still trying to keep you out of any suspicion. “For right now, anyway.”
“Fine,” Ryuhei says. He sits down on your couch with a thud, and Mitsuko grabs the armchair. You take the other end of the couch. “We got some stuff going. Inada’s been looking into the Hassaikai a little more –”
“We’ll get to that,” Mitsuko says. “Tell her our real idea.”
“Supply caches,” Ryuhei says. You blink. “Storage units aren’t that expensive. We could rent a bunch of different ones all around the country and fill them with stuff you guys need – like medical shit, food, supplies –”
“New information, if we’ve got any,” Mitsuko adds. “Phones aren’t safe. If they’re tracking where your signal is coming from, they’ll find it bouncing all over the place, and that’ll be suspicious from somebody who’s supposed to be in Yokohama.”
“Why wouldn’t I be in Yokohama?” you ask. Then it clicks. “Wait, you think I’m going to be with them?”
“Uh, yes.” Mitsuko and Ryuhei trade a glance. “At some point you have to, right? If you’re their medic, they need you to be with them wherever they are.”
“Kurogiri just comes to get me.”
“What if they need you and he’s not with them?” Ryuhei is giving you a weird look. “What happened with the one guy’s arm – it could have been bad if you weren’t there, right?”
It would have been. Nobody else in the League carries medical supplies, and without you to smooth the way at your clinic, Compress could have easily been reported to the police and arrested. “And it would make more sense for you to be with them,” Mitsuko continues. “Your boyfriend’s a lot more hinged when you’re around. If that’s what hinged looks like for him, I don’t even want to think about what he’s like on his own.”
Tenko’s more grounded when you’re around, or so you’ve heard from Spinner. He and Dabi don’t argue as much, and he’s apparently a lot less apathetic about things. But you’re still taken aback by what your friends are saying. The role they’re envisioning for themselves when it comes to helping the League is the role you’re playing right now, because they don’t expect you to play it for much longer. You hadn’t even thought of that. Are they right?
You’re not going to think about that right now. “I think supply caches are a great idea,” you say. “How many were you thinking?”
“That depends. How much money are we working with?”
Money’s not the only thing it depends on. It also depends on where the League is likely to be, and how easily they’ll be able to travel, and whether they’re more likely to be spotted in big cities with tons of surveillance or small towns where everyone knows everyone, and a whole lot of other questions. Mitsuko points out another benefit of you traveling with the League full-time; the cops still don’t know your face, which means you can move around freely even when the rest of the League can’t. The longer the three of you talk about it, the more it makes sense. You’re starting to wonder why Tenko hasn’t brought you with the League full-time already.
You’re in the middle of looking up storage units when the doorbell rings. The sound scares the hell out of you, like most unexpected sounds do these days, and you rocket to your feet. “Where are you going?” Ryuhei asks. “It’s probably just a delivery. Did you order something?”
You shake your head. “The others might have. They’ve done stuff like that before.”
Ryuhei accepts the explanation, but Mitsuko doesn’t. She follows you to the door. “I’m getting a weird feeling.”
“Like a feeling that the delivery guy is going to kill me?” you ask. Mitsuko shakes her head. “Then it’s fine. It’s easier if I just grab it now.”
You unlock the door and find yourself looking at a man holding a manila envelope. You can see your name written on it, along with your address, in neat but spidery handwriting. You hold out your hand for it. “Do I need to sign for this or something?”
“Nope. Just confirm your name and address.” The delivery guy holds the envelope just out of reach until you confirm both pieces of information. “Perfect. Here –”
He places the envelope in your hand, but once you’ve got it, his other hand comes up, and both enfold yours. The delivery guy is holding your hand, and in the split second before your mind registers just how weird this is, you find yourself feeling sick. Really sick. Dizzy. Nauseous. Another split second later, just as you’re thinking you should pull away, pain knifes through your skull. It’s not just weird. It’s a quirk.
A status effect quirk? You try to pull your hand away, but your arms feel like lead. Your voice comes out strange and slurred. “What –”
“Overhaul requires your presence,” the man says, and your stomach twists. “Come with me.”
“Fuck you.” A pair of arms wrap around your waist and yank you backwards into your apartment. Mitsuko pulls you away from the door and keeps pulling, even when your legs give out and she has to drag you. “Sasegawa, get your shit together!”
The man steps across the threshold into your apartment, dropping the envelope on the floor. “Thought you’d be alone in here. This is going to get messy.”
He reaches for you, but before he can make contact, Ryuhei hops the couch and gets between the two of you. The would-be kidnapper’s hand collides with Ryuhei’s face instead, and Ryuhei’s quirk activates. You’ve seen Ryuhei’s quirk at work before, but it always amazes you just how fast the rebound happens. The kidnapper’s got next to no resistance to his own quirk. Most people don’t. He throws up all over himself and the floor. He’s throwing up blood.
“Okay, what the fuck?” Ryuhei snaps. “What kind of quirk was that? Who is this guy?”
“Hassaikai,” you and Mitsuko both say at once. Mitsuko keeps talking. You’re too busy trying not to retch. “See how his eyes glow green? His quirk’s called Irradiate. It can paralyze people if he wants it to. Or it can kill.”
“So how the fuck did you miss it? You’re supposed to read intentions!”
“His intention was to kidnap her, not to hurt her or kill her! Hurting her is just a byproduct! My quirk doesn’t do what you think it does!” Mitsuko sounds as pissed as you’ve ever heard her. She shakes you. “If you’d just listened to me –”
“We have to do something about him.” You cut her off and gesture at the delivery guy, who’s now having a seizure just inside your doorway. “Emergency services. I have to call them.”
“You want to get him medical help? He just tried to kidnap you!”
“I need him to leave. And I don’t need the cops here.” You know the Hassaikai are under investigation. You’ve already come into contact with them once that the heroes know about. If you’re documented making contact with them again – “This guy is just a delivery guy. We don’t know what happened. When I opened the door and took the package, he started convulsing. That’s it.”
“And what about you? You look like hell,” Ryuhei shoots back. “You’re a nurse. Isn’t helping with shit like this your job?”
Shit. It is your job. If the cops come here, they’re going to ask why you’re not tending to the guy who tried to kidnap you. “One of you needs to call,” you say. You pull away from Mitsuko, fighting the urge to throw up, and head to the delivery guy, tilting him onto his side so he won’t aspirate if he starts vomiting again. “Now.”
While Mitsuko places the call, you try to remember what you know about radiation sickness. Not a lot. You seem to remember that the symptoms correspond to the dose, and that instant vomiting isn’t a good sign. Vomiting blood is never a good sign. But you got nauseous right away, even though you didn’t throw up. If this guy actually irradiated you, you’re in trouble, too. Did Mitsuko say his quirk was radiation, or just that it mimics the effects? You need to ask her, but she’s still on the phone, acting really panicked and hysterical to ensure that the EMTs get here fast. You’ll ask once she hangs up. In the meantime, you’ve got one hell of a headache and a guy having a seizure on your floor. You’re busy.
The EMTs don’t question your story when they arrive. They get the gang member off your floor and onto a stretcher, give you a bodily fluids cleanup kit to deal with the vomit, and book it. Ryuhei’s too squeamish to help you clean, but Mitsuko isn’t. The two of you work on taking the stain out of the carpet while Ryuhei opens the envelope the Hassaikai member brought with him. “I should be the one to open it,” he says when you protest. “If there’s a quirk in here it’ll bounce off of me.”
“Why would there be a quirk in an envelope?”
“Why would the Hassaikai send a delivery guy to kidnap you? These people are insane.” Ryuhei rips open the envelope. “No quirk. Just a letter. It’s – well, fuck. This is bad.”
“Don’t just say ‘this is bad’. Read it,” you say. It’s quiet for a few seconds. “Well?”
“It’s not addressed to you. It’s for Shigaraki,” Ryuhei says. Your stomach lurches. “I guess the guy was supposed to leave it here for Shigaraki to find after he kidnapped you. Overhaul’s saying he doesn’t trust Shigaraki to behave himself just for Toga’s and Twice’s sake – wait, are they hostages? – so he’s going to hang onto you, too. And – fuck, this guy is a freak.”
“Wait, let me see.” Mitsuko strips off her gloves and goes to investigate. You come over, too, but she shoos you back. A moment later, she swears. “We can’t let him see this.”
“See what?” You’re not done with the bodily fluids cleanup, but you peel off your gloves and step around Mitsuko. “He was going to kidnap me. I should get to –”
“You don’t want to,” Mitsuko snaps at you. You’ve never heard her take that tone before, and you’ve heard her get really harsh. Then, to Ryuhei: “We can’t let him see this. If he sees this – look, I’ve been around the yakuza before. I’ve seen some shit. This is fucked up even for them.”
“What is it?” you say, exasperated. You’ve met Overhaul. He creeped you out plenty in person. You doubt a letter could do the same thing.
“I think we should show him,” Ryuhei mumbles. “Let him see what he’s up against.”
Your phone starts buzzing in your pocket, and you pull it out to find a text from Tenko. We got him. We’re on our way over.
They got who? And why are they coming here? How are they coming here without Kurogiri? Are they really traveling through Yokohama on foot? They’re going to get caught. You can’t think straight. Your head hurts. “Mitsu, is that guy’s quirk actual radiation or just the symptoms?”
“Actual radiation.”
You might be screwed. The thought that your would-be kidnapper is even more screwed than you are isn’t much of a source of comfort. You put on a fresh set of gloves and go back to cleaning up the mess of guess-it’s-radioactive bloody vomit on the floor.
Tenko and the others don’t arrive until half an hour after you’re done cleaning, when you’ve switched clothes and showered off and you’re sprawled on the couch, reading the Wikipedia page on acute radiation sickness and trying to decide whether the continued urge to vomit is the result of anxiety or whatever dose of radiation you caught from the kidnapper. You hear the secret knock, but Ryuhei’s at the door before you can even get up from the couch. The door opens, and a moment later you hear Compress’s voice. “Who are you?”
“New ally. Who are you?”
“We don’t have time for this,” Tomura says impatiently. “Let us in.”
Ryuhei lets him in, and the rest of the League piles into the apartment after him. The entire rest of the League – Twice and Toga are back, looking extremely pleased with themselves, and everybody else looks like they’ve had a great day, too. “Overhaul’s fucked,” Tomura announces. “Turn on the TV. I bet they’re covering it.”
You switch on the TV, and everyone comes to settle around it. Twice plops down on the couch next to you, only to scramble up a moment later when Tomura comes over. Tomura’s not shy about being affectionate with you in front of the League. He pulls you against his side, not quite into his lap, and you lean against him, squeezing your eyes shut. You didn’t want to tell him about the attempted kidnapping, and now you don’t have to. It’s a relief.
It turns out that the League’s revenge against Overhaul is just the final piece of Overhaul’s worst day ever. The heroes moved against him at last, destroying his headquarters and capturing his lieutenants, effectively destroying the Shie Hassaikai for good – and on top of that, Tomura, Dabi, Spinner, and Compress attacked the convoy that was transporting Overhaul to a villain-specific hospital. A hero’s dead. Two cops are badly injured. And Overhaul himself is now short both his arms, and his quirk.
“I was thinking,” Tomura says, “somebody who hates quirks shouldn’t have one of his own. We got revenge for Compress –”
“I took his arm myself,” Compress says proudly. Twice high-fives him. “And in revenge for Magne, we took everything else that mattered to him.”
“Those quirk-destroying bullets he had? Those are ours now,” Dabi says. “Smug bastard. He had it coming.”
“You have no idea,” Mitsuko mumbles. Dabi gives her a weird look.
“We messed with them during the heroes’ raid,” Toga sings out, grinning her sharp-toothed grin. “And I got to see Izuku! He’s so cute when he’s covered in blood. Ochako and Tsu were there, too! I wish I’d gotten to talk to them more – they’re so pretty –”
At least Toga likes the idea of having age-appropriate friends. She’s got a few screws loose already, but only hanging around with you and a bunch of older guys probably isn’t helping. On the TV, there’s another alert – something about a girl the heroes were trying to rescue from Overhaul, who’s since gone missing. “And on that note, Saintess,” Compress says over Twice’s crowing about just how badly they pissed off one of Overhaul’s lieutenants, “we have a present for you.”
He extracts one of his spheres from his pocket and uncompresses it on your coffee table to reveal a messily severed arm. Mitsuko yelps and recoils. “Wrong one,” Compress says hastily, and compresses it again. “This is for you.”
You have a bad feeling about it, and once he uncompresses the second sphere, you’re proven right. In place of the arm, there’s a tiny girl sprawled out on the table. She’s wearing a hospital gown, her arms and legs heavily bandaged. She has greyish-white hair, just like the girl in the picture on TV, and just like the girl in the picture, there’s a horn on the right side of her forehead. She’s also asleep, or maybe unconscious. There’s a hectic, fevered flush in her cheeks, and her breathing is rattling and uneven in a way that raises a whole host of red flags.
“This is Eri,” Twice says as you stare in horror. “Isn’t she cute?”
“She was the key to Overhaul’s plans,” Tomura says. “Her quirk’s Rewind. It activates when she touches someone, and it turns back the clock on their body, or parts of their body. Overhaul was using it in the deleter rounds to turn back quirk factors until they no longer exist.”
“He was being so gross with her,” Toga says. Her mirth from before is gone. “He kept cutting her and using his quirk to put her back together again. We could hear her crying if we went down to that level.”
“The heroes were trying to rescue her, but we nabbed her when their backs were turned,” Twice adds. “And we brought her back here! She should be with us, don’t you think?”
You can barely think. “Can she control it?” Mitsuko asks. “Like, is it active right now?”
“Maybe. Why?”
Mitsuko doesn’t answer. She grabs your hand away from your side, yanks it towards the coffee table, and slaps it down on top of the little girl’s hand. Your entire body jolts, and you struggle to pull free, but Mitsuko leaves your hand there for a second, two seconds, three. When Tomura grabs you and pulls you back, she lets you go. “What the hell was that?” Tomura demands.
Mitsuko doesn’t answer him. “I can Google shit just as well as you can,” she says to you. “Feel better?”
You do. Your headache’s completely gone, along with the nausea, and it’s easier to think – and now you get why she did it. The exposure to the little girl’s quirk Rewound you, past the point where you were exposed to the radiation quirk. You’re not irradiated any longer, which means that by bringing Eri back here, Compress and the others have saved you a lot of trouble. But they’ve also caused a problem. A really big problem. “We can’t keep her.”
The League stares at you. “Why not?” Spinner asks.
You’d expect that question from Tomura or Dabi. Not from Spinner, who lived at least adjacent to the real world until four months ago. “She’s a little kid,” you say. “Kids need stability. They need a roof over their heads and to know they’ll have food and a safe place to sleep every night. And if one of you is about to say that you didn’t have that and you turned out fine – no, you didn’t.”
Dabi snorts. “But she’s so cute,” Toga complains. “Look at her little cheeks. I just want to bite them!”
“No biting the kid. If you’re going to bite the kid we’re definitely not keeping her,” Tomura says. You can’t believe he’s still thinking it’s a good idea to keep her, and when he turns to look at you, you can see that nothing you’ve said has sunk in. “She could stay with you. It’s safe here.”
“No, it isn’t,” Ryuhei says, and you glare daggers at him. “Don’t. I’m not going to act like there wasn’t –”
Whatever he was going to say, it’s cut off when the girl on your coffee table startles awake. She pushes herself to seated with shaking arms, glancing left, then right. Her eyes are bright red, like Tomura’s, and as you watch, they begin to fill with tears. Her mouth is trembling, and so is her voice when she speaks. “Where’s Deku?”
“Oh, come on,” Tomura complains, and the girl cringes. “You want Midoriya? Really? I – hey!”
You’ve elbowed him into shutting up. The girl is curling in on herself, arms wrapping tight around her knees. “He was going to save me,” she whimpers. “Him and Lemillion and the man with the glasses –”
“They did save you. From Overhaul. Then we saved you from them!” Twice chirps. “It was no trouble. Say thank you!”
“Hey,” you warn. They brought Eri to you. It’s your job to help her. You turn to her and soften your voice. “Hey. It’s okay. You’re safe here. Nobody here is going to hurt you. I promise.”
She shakes her head. “Nobody here will hurt you,” you say again. You don’t even want to think about what it must have been like for this girl to live under Overhaul’s thumb, being tortured by him to manufacture the quirk-canceling bullets. “You aren’t in trouble. You’re not going to be in trouble, and even if you were, there’s nothing you could do that would make one of us hurt you. That’s not what we do.”
“Overhaul –”
“He’s gone,” Tomura says. Eri looks at him. “We got rid of him. I took his quirk away and left him for the heroes. He’s not coming back.”
“We’re not him,” Spinner adds. “He sucked.”
Eri’s shoulders relax slightly at that. Then her face crumples. “I want Deku.”
You preemptively elbow Tomura, then start strategizing. If you touch her, you might get rewound further than you want to be, so you need to find a different way to comfort her. You hand her a box of tissues first, pluck a few out to show her that it’s okay to take them, and get to your feet. “The rest of you, stay where you are,” you order. “I’ll be right back.”
Your apartment doesn’t exactly have kid stuff in it. You find a spare blanket in your hall closet and come back, unfolding it and settling it carefully around Eri’s shoulders. She’s picked up the tissue box, but instead of using it, she’s hugging it. At work, you keep a box of cheap stuffed animals to give to scared kids, for them to hold during their appointments and take with them when they leave. You don’t have any stuffed animals here, so maybe you can give her a pillow. Or –
You head to your room on autopilot, dig into the box of things you brought from your parents’ house, and come back. Tomura’s eyes go straight to the object you’re holding. You know he recognizes it. He wouldn’t be staring like that if he didn’t. “Is that –”
You nod and crouch back down next to the coffee table. “Eri,” you say, and she looks at you. You hold up the plush corgi Tenko gave you for your sixth birthday. “I’ll trade you for the tissue box. This is way more fun to hug than that is.”
Eri’s red eyes brighten ever so slightly, but she’s hesitant to reach for it. Maybe she thinks you’re going to take it away. You set it down on the table and push it towards her, making sure to pull your hand away so she knows you aren’t planning to snatch it back. You feel the smallest sense of relief when she drops the tissue box and grabs the plushie with both hands, hugging it tight against her chest. It’s really cute. Or it would be, if you didn’t know why this is happening to her. If you didn’t know why she’s in your apartment in the first place.
She peers at you from between the plushie’s ears. “Who are you?”
“I’m Saintess,” you say. You’ve never called yourself by your code name before. You feel twenty kinds of dumb. “It’s really nice to meet you. But I know it’s probably not comfortable to sit on the coffee table. How about you go sit in that chair –”
Dabi’s in it. Tomura glares at him until he moves, and Eri stumbles over to it, trailing the blanket and clutching the toy. “And get comfortable,” you tell her. She burrows into the blanket, watching all of you with enormous eyes. “Do you feel okay?”
“Cold,” she says. Chills, then. Probably a fever, too. “It hurts.”
All those bandages. You don’t want to know what’s underneath them. “Okay. I’m going to put on some gloves so it’ll be safe for me to touch you, and then I’ll take your temperature and check to make sure you’re okay. Is that all right with you? It’s okay if it’s not.”
Eri hesitates. “Will I feel better?”
“You won’t feel worse,” you say. She nods, and you go back to the hall closet for your first-aid kit.
You try to tune the others out as you tend to Eri, but you can’t quite make it stick. Dabi is asking Toga and Twice about which heroes they dealt with during the operation against the Hassaikai, Compress is raiding your kitchen, and Spinner is way into your personal space, wanting to know what’s going on with Eri. Tomura is, too, at first. You catch him watching you more than once, a weird look on his face. You know him well enough to know most of his expressions, and that one’s new. You wonder what it means.
Then, while you’re waiting for the thermometer you just put in Eri’s mouth to beep, you glance back to check on Tomura, and he’s gone. He’s over by the kitchen table instead. There’s an envelope in his hands.
No. No, no, no. You grab Ryuhei, order him to take the thermometer out when it beeps and memorize what it says, then race towards Tomura – but you’re way too late. The envelope and the letter inside it crumble to dust as you reach him, and when he looks up at you, his jaw is clenched so tightly that the tendons in his neck are standing out. “What happened?” he snarls.
“Lower your voice,” you beg. You don’t want him to scare Eri. “It’s not a big deal. Nothing bad happened. It’s just –”
“Don’t fucking lie,” Mitsuko says, coming up beside you. You don’t have to warn her to keep her voice down. “That yakuza bastard sent a hitman here to kidnap your girlfriend. It would have worked if Ryuhei hadn’t been here to give him a taste of his own quirk.”
“It’s fine,” you say. “The Hassaikai’s been dismantled, right? It doesn’t matter anymore.”
“They knew where you were,” Tomura says flatly. “When I find out who told them –”
“Nobody had to tell them.” The pieces are coming together in your head, slow and ugly. Overhaul saw the bandage on your hand at the warehouse. He’d have known that the League would need to seek help for Compress, and the free clinics are the only place where an injury like that won’t result in immediate police involvement. “A Hassaikai member showed up at my clinic. He asked about my hand.”
“Overhaul brought it up, too.” Tomura’s right hand lifts, clawing at his neck – lightly at first, then harder. “You – Inada – why did you use the kid’s quirk on her?”
“She got radiation poisoning. That’s the fucking hitman’s quirk.” Mitsuko ignores you when you tell her to shut up. “My guess is, Over-fuck knew he could fix whatever his hitman did when he got ahold of her. Him fixing it wasn’t an option. So I used the kid.”
“I owe you.” Tomura is still scratching, and now he’s focused on you. “They knew where you were. They’ve known since we made the alliance. It – fuck!”
“Hey, keep it down,” Spinner calls anxiously. “You’re scaring the kid.”
“Her temperature is 40 degrees,” Ryuhei adds.
Shit. “We need to table this,” you say to Tomura. His eyes flash. “That girl is really sick. It’s not safe for her to stay here, and I can’t help her the way she needs. She has to go to people who can help her.”
“The heroes? Fuck that.”
“She has to,” you say again. “They can help her. We can’t.”
“What makes you think they’ll do anything?” Tomura’s expression twists. One of his nails digs deep into the side of his neck and pulls up blood, and just like you did before, you cover his neck with your hand. “They won’t give a shit. They didn’t when it was – when –”
He breaks off. You wait, and he looks away. “Forget it.”
“They’re running her name and picture on the news,” Mitsuko says. “They care about what happens to her, and you all are in enough trouble without another kidnapping on your record. They’ll look for you twice as hard.”
Tomura’s fingernails scrape lightly across the back of your hand before his hand comes to rest over yours, index finger raised. “I’m not just dumping her on the street.”
“You won’t be,” you promise. “I’ll take her to the police station. I can say I found her wandering around –”
“So they’ll think we just dumped her on the street.”
“Or that she got away somehow. I don’t know.” You don’t have time for this. “Her fever’s high enough that she might not remember anything. If she does, she’ll remember we didn’t hurt her. That we took care of her while she was with us. She’ll know we aren’t him.”
Tomura’s shoulders relax slightly. It matters to him to be better than Overhaul. It matters to you, too. “Hang on,” Dabi says from where he’s leaning against the wall. “Maybe we shouldn’t send Saintess to drop the kid off. She’s had one run-in with the Hassaikai already, and the police already know about it. Her turning up with the kid is too big of a coincidence. Inada should be the one.”
“Two run-ins. Overhaul sent somebody here for her.” Tomura’s hand tightens around yours. “Her identity’s compromised. When we leave this time, she’s coming with us.”
Your stomach drops. “The kid trusts her,” Tomura continues. “And she’s a nurse. It’ll look like we left the kid by the clinic or something.”
“Why does it matter where we drop the kid off?”
“So we don’t end up looking worse than they do,” Tomura snaps. “What’s the point of revealing their hypocrisy if we just throw someone away?”
It’s quiet for a second. “Wait until nightfall, then,” Dabi says shortly. “So we can at least keep a lid on the number of people who see Saintess wandering around carrying a missing kid.”
“She’s sick,” Spinner says. “Doesn’t she need help as soon as possible?”
“Not if it gets us caught!”
You’re on Spinner’s team here. “What if Compress uses his quirk on me and Eri both? Then he can bring us near the police station, so we won’t have to walk as far and risk getting spotted. We won’t even show up on camera until we’re right there.”
“What kind of distance can you release your quirk from?” Tomura asks Compress, who shrugs. “If it’s far enough, you can give the sphere to Inada or Sasegawa to carry.”
That’s the plan they settle on, eventually. Compress will use his quirk on you and Eri, Mitsuko will carry you both to the police station and text when she’s there, and Compress will deactivate his quirk from a distance. Eri’s breathing is raspy. You need to hurry. You roll her up carefully in the blanket, making sure she doesn’t touch you. “The puppy,” she mumbles. “Can I keep him?”
“Of course,” you say. You were too old for it, and you don’t need a keepsake of Tenko when you have the real thing. “He’ll take good care of you as long as you take good care of him. Are you ready to go?”
She nods. You pick her up. Rolled in the blanket like this, she’s unwieldy but light. You turn to face Compress. “Okay, let’s do this. We –”
You get compressed mid-sentence, and the next thing you know, you’re standing in an alleyway a block and a half from the police station, face to face with Mitsuko. “Be careful,” she says. She looks pissed, and you’re not sure why. “Look, me and Ryuhei are activating the sleeper thing right after this, and you’re going with them. We’re not going to see each other for a while.”
Oh. “I’m going to miss you,” you tell her. Mitsuko laughs. “They still don’t know my face. We’ll see each other.”
“We’d better.”
“Keep an eye on Yoshimi for me,” you continue. “And Kazuo. I worry about them.”
“We all do,” Mitsuko says. “And now we have to worry about you, too.”
You feel a surge of guilt, one that melts into bemusement when Mitsuko leans in and plants a kiss on your lips. “Go on. I’ll see you around, Saintess.”
Saintess. That’s your name now, isn’t it? It’s the one everyone’s going to use. Mitsuko leaves the alley first, heading in one direction. You stand still and watch her go, watching a piece of the life you had before disappear around the corner. Then you adjust your grip on Eri and aim for the police station.

Of the things that Tomura expected to happen once they fled Kamino, he can't say that Dabi being kidnapped was anywhere even remotely on his list of possibilities. He never complained about Dabi wandering off from the rest of them. Technically, as far as the others were concerned, he was attempting to recruit more members. In reality, Tomura knows that Dabi won't ever bring anyone back to join their group. Dabi has standards for villainy that means they won't work with riff-raff, and Tomura knows that him burning anyone who doesn't live up to those standards will keep the League as a persistent threat in the background of the news cycles, growing more uneasy about what the League might do when they decide to fully come out of the shadows. Besides, letting him wander keeps him happy too, never feeling strangled and tied down. Tomura isn't sure if he's ever met another person who has such strong abandonment issues that they flash like a neon sign over him, but after the first time he'd nearly lit Tomura on fire for acting slightly too affectionate with him, he'd also found out that he doesn't take kindly to anyone trying to make him feel valued either. It's a messy contradiction, but Tomura isn't going to pretend that he didn't know just from looking at Dabi that he was messy and he's willing to take what he can get. 
He was not expecting to get a phone call from Dabi's number from some Yakuza stragglers saying that they have his firefly. 
"Hmm. Is that so?" He pulls up the app that connects the League's phones so that Kurogiri can always track them for easy extraction and finds the coordinates in a matter of seconds, gesturing for the others to gear up and gather around so they can deal with this. "How do I know you didn't just steal his phone? This can't be your first kidnapping. You must know that I need proof of life before I negotiate with you."
"You aren't in any position to make demands--"
"You're not in any position to threaten the League when we just finished tearing off your boss's arms." He replies flatly. "Proof of life, or I hang up now." 
The other villain practically growls and Tomura listens for the sound of movement, catching footsteps and the creak of a door opening. "Wake him up!" He winces slightly when there's the heavy sound of flesh against flesh and then Dabi wheezes. "Your boyfriend wants to hear your voice, patchwork." 
"Boyfriend?" Tomura can't help his pleasure soaking into his tone slightly, but Dabi immediately snaps, 
"The fuck are you talking about? Duster isn't my boyfriend!" The door slams shut again and Tomura tables the immediate disappointment that comes from that and instead sends the coordinates to Kurogiri.
"There, now you better listen up if you don't want to find him scattered all over Japan--" it takes about five seconds after the texts goes through before Kurogiri opens up the portal. Tomura hangs up his phone, dropping it back into his coat pocket, before he steps through, right in front of the dumbfuck with Dabi's still against his ear. He locks his hand around that wrist as his other comes up lightning-quick to settle five fingers against his face, the others swarming out of the portal behind him like some particularly vicious wasps to take care of the other members around the dilapidated warehouse. 
The Yakuza member crumbles into nothing, and Shigaraki takes back Dabi's phone before it can be broken with the rest of him, and then he glances around. There were only four others out here and he sees that the League is making short work of them, finds the door a short distance away from where the man was standing, and heads for it. He hears a choked gurgle on the other side of the door and immediately pushes it open, making sure that the metal blocks most of his body, but it wasn't worth the effort. There's no one inside to shoot at him anymore. 
Dabi is just there, spitting out a mouthful of flesh and blood, handcuffed to a chair, his face and white shirt streaked with crimson. He shifts to kick the slumped body of the Yakuza member off of him. The body thuds to the floor unceremoniously and Dabi looks up at him. "Toga's the one who put the heart emoji by your name." 
He doesn't say a thing in response. He's too busy staring at the blood that is dripping all over Dabi's skin and soaking into his clothes. Too busy watching his firefly turn to spit out another mouthful of saliva that has come out stringy and thick with blood. 
"Duster? Come the fuck on, let me out." 
He manages to move across the room then, but he does it in a haze as he reaches for the quirk-dampening cuffs keeping Dabi on the chair. 
"Fucking idiots. I don't know why people forget that they're just as capable of getting killed by something mundane and not a quirk." 
Dabi is bitching to hide that his pupils are blown wide with his adrenaline. He's standing up and the room gets a little warmer as, despite his words, he makes sure he's ready to defend himself with his quirk first and foremost. He is reaching up to wipe more of the blood from his mouth and Tomura reaches out and grabs his wrist. Blue eyes blink at him and then he's got his mouth on top of his crimson lips. The sticky smear of the blood makes the scent of copper and smoke bloom between them and he can't even care. Can't complain when he tastes that and his firefly's skin beneath. Dabi stiffens from the kiss, this temperature spiking higher for a second, but then he gives in, the way he always gives in, like being kissed, like being touched, is a relief to him. He opens his mouth for him and Tomura indulges in that overwhelming flavor as he pulls the other closer and keeps kissing him until they're both desperate for air. 
He doesn't even stop as they try to catch their breath, his tongue drags over his stained chin as well and licks up some of the blood dripping over his skin. "Should've known you were a goddamn freak." But Dabi is clutching onto his coat and pulling him closer for another kiss. 
"Toga drinks blood all the time." He mumbles, but he doesn't really care about saving face. He just wants to have more of this if he's allowed it. 
"Toga's got a quirk that makes her like it. You're just a sadist." 
"Your tears taste better. Let me have those too?" 
"Fucking freak." But Dabi pulls him back in for another hard kiss as Tomura pushes him up against the wall, stepping over the corpse of Dabi's captor as he does.

We keep getting reminded of Chisaki. His quirk being the foundation of Decay, Deku losing his arms, him showing up in Shigaraki's mind-place. I think this is intentional on Horikoshi's part, trying to stir up some wonder on where Chisaki is and why he just sorta disappeared.

Chisaki's a bit of a mystery, we don't know who his true parents are, we don't know how he ended up in the doctor's facility, or how Afo knew he was another soul tainted by the unjust hero system.

"That one boy" I'll be honest, this could easily be about Dabi. But why not say "Dabi", the doctor was already talking about him using his name. That whole dialog sorta feels like a warning about another. (I put the whole panel for y'all to interpret yourself if you wanna. First of three⬇️) Not to mention the doctor's wording, "didn't buy what we were selling", Kai's whole arc was about getting people to buy what he was selling.
Not to mention this checks out with Chisaki's personality. He's known to be deviant like Dabi, to go off and do what he thinks is best despite what others say. A lot of people speculate that Kai ran away from the doctor's facility, and that's when the yakuza boss found him. The yakuza boss and crime facility that's said to be the only thing he likes, and he lost it all because he believed he knew better.

Now stay with me on this one...
Chisaki needed to lose his independent personality (or, in better terms, Afo needed Chisaki to lose his independent personality). Kai needed to go through and lose everything he valued because of this independent behavior so he would grow to hate and shun that part of himself. This would make him vulnerable to someone's words; "Let me lead you", "You never do anything right yourself", "You need guidance, I can guide you".
If/once Chisaki finds out the boss is dead and it's naturally all his fault, that'll be his true breaking point and when he's at his most vulnerable. I've literally been saying this for years, Kai is the perfect target for Afo's fresh start.
Horikoshi's been talking about a sequel, who knows if he'll actually make it or how long it'll be when he does. But I really hope that he'll up the rating so his managers will let him go more indepth with his villains like he said he wanted to.😭

As far as he’s concerned, these overly extravagant ‘work functions’ are nothing more than an excuse for a bunch of bigwigs and hotshots to get together and jerk each other off.
Really, it’s not much different than a college house party; if you take away the opulent venue and the nice clothes and good food, it’s practically the exact same thing.

In his mind, you’re just some silly little girl, a shiny new toy for Tomura to play with, to occupy his son’s time until he needs him, until he once again deems him useful. Then it’s expected you’ll be cast aside in favour of the family business, because nothing could ever be more important to Tomura, poor little orphaned Tomura, saved from the clutches of poverty by the Shigarakis, than the family business he’s being groomed to own one day, right?
Wrong.
But his father doesn’t give a fuck about that. He’s right if he says he’s right, end of discussion, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
So you’re here.
You had been cautiously excited to attend, desperate to earn his father’s favour, to prove that you’re worth it, worth all of the time and energy and love Tomura spends on you; that you can belong, if you really try to.
It’s sweet, really, how eager you are to be a part of the family. Impossibly, it makes Tomura love you even more.  
Kurogiri’s been bouncing around the banquet hall like an efficient but headless chicken, splitting his time between checking in with guests and keeping a watchful eye on Tomura, since he has a nasty tendency to suddenly and miraculously disappear into thin air at these things.
The corner Tomura has the two of you wedged in is shrouded in shadows and at the back of the room, far from all of the excitement, the chattering voices and chewing teeth. It’s still loud, though, a mess of chaotic and indistinct noise, booming laughter tangled with confident speeches wafting over you in waves, carrying with them the scent of hors d’oeuvres from the self-serve table at the head of the room.
Your tummy growls, nothing more than a gentle rumble beneath Tomura’s palms, and he hugs you tighter, chin hooked over your shoulder as he nuzzles into your neck a little in apology.
“I’ll have Kurogiri grab you some food the next time he makes his rounds, baby, I promise.”
A dainty hand lays atop his own, fingers snuggling between the gaps of his own and resting there.

And, oh, that word.
That special word, nothing more than a sweet huff of breath on your tongue, five little letters that get his blood surging and his chest puffing and his spine straightening.

But then your tummy grumbles again and Tomura frowns, fingers flexing as they sink into your flesh, holding you closer. Your ankles hook around his calves in response, body melting further into his—giving in, giving over, complete and total control—sagging s little in his lap, and he sighs.
But there’s no way you can get up, no way he can allow you to get up, to go anywhere near the food so meticulously laid out across a long, white table. Because Tomura has already seen the way these mongrels called men have been staring at you, eyes sick and starved as they try to swallow you whole, gazes nipping at your bare legs, tearing at your sweet little dress.
Instinctively, his body curls further around your own, shoulders hunched and chest curved as it molds to your back, almost as if he’s trying to hide you away within himself, within his flesh and bone and soul, far away from those ogling eyes and their gnawing little teeth.
Kurogiri returns not long after, though he is not able to fulfill Tomura’s promise, a slight breathlessness to his tone as he delivers a directive.
“Tomura, your father needs your assistance.”
“What?” Tomura hisses, head whipping to face his handler, eyes narrowed sharply. “With what?”
“There are some people he’d like you to meet,” Kurogiri responds calmly, unfazed.
Tomura’s features pucker, the mere thought sour in his head. “You can tell him to fuck right off, I’m not—”
“Tomura,” Kurogiri cuts him off, stern but not sharp. “Is this appropriate behaviour for a CEO-in-training? These are very important guests—important clients, and it is imperative that you continue to keep our relationship with them in good standing.”
Scarlet eyes dart between you and Kurogiri, settling on the crown of your head, a certain type of woefulness imbuing his features—mouth turned down, eyes drooping slightly, forehead woven with lines of worry.
“She’ll be alright on her own for a second or two,” Kurogiri continues, voice softening. “It’ll only be for a moment, Tomura. Just come say hello.”
“Fine, fuck.”
With the utmost gentleness, Tomura slides you off his lap as he stands, taking your jaw between his palms, bony fingers splayed across your cheeks, so long his middle fingers nearly rest on your temples.
“I’ll be right back, okay?”
“Okay, Daddy,” you laugh a little, nudging forward to press a quick peck to his lips. “Promise I’ll survive on my own while you’re gone.”
“You better,” he threatens, cold voice contradicted by the mirth shimmering in his eyes and the love tugging at the corners of his lips. “Be back in a minute or less.”
“Thirty seconds,” you hear him growling to Kurogiri as he stalks off, vying fingers already gouging his own flesh, nails leaving thick divots that pool rapidly with blood in their wake. “Thirty fucking seconds, that’s all they’re getting from me.”
Your eyes trail after him as he weaves through the space, an ache, dull and heavy, settling behind your ribs when you spot the ribbons of crimson adorning his neck, trickling onto his crisp white collar, Kurogiri hastily attempting to dab at them as Tomura viciously swipes at his hands.
The ache throbs, expands and pushes against your ribs as if it’s trying to escape the cage, as if it’s trying to propel you forward, urging you to act, to move, to go be with him.  
“Hey,” a voice pulls you from your thoughts, and you startle slightly, gaze snapping towards its owner. “You looked lonely—Like a lost kitten, or something. This your first time at one of these things?”
It’s clearly a lie, you know it is, can see the falsities glimmering in his stretched smile, wide and tense and hungry across his cheeks—there’s no way this man didn’t see you with Tomura only mere seconds ago.
“Uh—”
“I’m Shin,” he continues, eyes obscured by the chandelier lights glinting off his glasses. Even veiled, you can feel it, the man’s slimy gaze gliding up your body, slowly, studiously, and leaving a filmy trail behind it. Your flesh crawls along your bones, feeling wrong, dirty, bare, and you wrap your arms around yourself, hugging your ribs. “Nemoto Shin. I work for a, uh, friend of the Shigarakis.”
“Oh,” you say, dull as your eyes skip across the crowd, feet shifting a little as you lean away, hunting for Tomura in a sea of businessmen.
“Actually, I’m a doctor of sorts.”
Your narrowed gaze drifts back to his, eyebrows knitted slightly.
“Of sorts?”
“A chemist, kind of.”
“Kind of?”
Smirking, he tilts his head to the side as if he finds you fascinating, revealing dark eyes as the light catches on his hair.
“I run clinical trials, collect data, and then revise.”
And it’s the way he says it, voice imbued with a sort of deranged glee that smears his sharp smile wider, as if he takes pleasure in conducting these experiments, that has shivers skittering up your spine, nails digging into your biceps as your arms squeeze your torso.
“On people?”
“Of course.”
“Oh. That’s, uh...”
Your eyes dart around the venue again, expensive silk suits and leather loafers all a blur as you search for an out, a familiar face, someone, anyone.
“You know,” Shin begins conversationally, taking a step closer to you. “You look like you’re about the correct age and height for our newest study.”
Large hands wrap around your own, fast and sudden, and forcefully uncurl your fingers, tugging your arms from around your body and holding them out wide, leaning back on his heels to fully appreciate you.

Tomura’s voice has the man flinching, a jolt of panic surging through his veins and loosening his muscles, your arms dropped from his hands in an instant. He recovers quickly, though, any traces of alarm smoothed out from his expression a second later, features morphed into a perfect mask of professionalism.
“Tomura,” he says with a polite nod, a small but appropriate smile on his face. “You’re looking well.”
Tomura says nothing in response, glaring at him through sharpened eyes, crimson simmering with such anger you swear you can see the heat waves radiating from his sockets. He holds the man’s gaze until, finally, the man looks away with a cower, head hung in submission.
And then Tomura’s turning away with a sneer, catching your hands, busy mauling his biceps in desperation, with ease and wrapping a palm around your arm.
“Fucking vultures,” he’s spitting as he all but drags you from the venue, the fingers cuffed around your wrist tensing. “I leave for, like, a minute and they’re all over you.”
“I—I’m sorry,” you’re whimpering as your free hand winds around his forearm, jogging a little in your haste to keep up with his pace.
“Sorry?” he questions, the word seething on his tongue, as if you’re stupid for even apologizing at all. “It isn’t your fault, princess.”

Villains were shifty in many ways, Tomura was taught that by his master for a long time. Villains had a large underground society, his master showing him everything he had at his disposal, so long as everything went according to plan.
But when his master was taken into custody, that was certainly not according to plan, he and his comrades were left with nothing. Not even Giran could help their lack of funds, the only thing they could do was rob small convenience stores. Even that was getting more difficult to do, with the presence of police and heroes increasing in areas they frequented. The yakuza wasn't the safest option for them, they were running out of supplies, tensions were running high.
Giran introduced him to something he could do for money, a small side gig to make a few extra bucks. After all, the villain world was vast, and Tomura was desperate.
“No, this has to be a scam-”
“It’s not. Old bitty’s are desperate for a young man nowadays, and they’re discreet-”
“I don’t give a shit.” He hissed, “It’s a safety risk, especially now.”
“I know, but it’s an option…”
Giran handed him the new phone, and he saw the site was exactly what he said. Discreet. No names, no pictures. He looked through reviews of some of the clients, how they complimented the work ethic and how easy it was to get a hold of some people. With the Yakuza deal being an issue, 'Overhaul' being a risky 'ally', this option seemed… Do-able.
So, he made an account. His first few clients were too scared of him, they expected him to be someone different, maybe someone lesser-known, or someone easier to talk to, but they got him instead.
He didn’t expect much, he was never one to be looked at as if he was… Attractive. Did he have high expectations of getting lucky with any of these women? Not particularly. Some of them were too old, just in need of someone to talk to. Their husbands cheated on them and they wanted to get back at ‘em, but never followed through. The younger women who asked for his services were shocked it was him, and if he did get to go all the way with them, they usually told him to go from behind, turn off the lights, don’t mind them if they moan someone else's name, don’t take all of his clothes off.
It only bugged him slightly a lot, but it made the league money.

He couldn’t imagine the humiliation he’d endure if they found him making his way to love hotels at least once a week. Sure it was dingy and gross, but he didn’t pay for it, and he got paid for it, so he couldn't complain. It wasn’t just women who’d buy his services either, he’d get men too. Due to the vague website and the lack of names, not many men would expect the leader of the League of Villains, but for enough money, Tomura followed the terms of his contract and swore to be quiet about it. Sometimes it was lawmakers he’d fuck with, sometimes people from the Commission, sometimes it was even low-ranking heroes he’d get to fuck. It didn’t matter to him, all that mattered was the money, and it got him plenty of black mail material too, but they didn’t need to know about that. “Any issues with your computer aside from the virus?”
“Thankfully no, I’m always sure to use protection, 'specially if I can't trust my buddies to keep it to themselves. VPNs, y’know~?” You said with a wink, making him actually chuckle.
Despite the small crime of “using someone else's computer”, Tomura wanted more information.
“I can get rid of it, but I wanna know… Any other issues?”
You smirked, shrugging. “Plenty, what do you want to know?”
“All of them…”
That was how you two met. You worked for the Commission as a paper pusher, "Damage Control" you called it, just running documents to and from different agencies, only making copies of classified information every now and then, when a hero assaulted someone, when a hero slipped up with drugs, when a sidekick got caught with a hero twice their age, so and and so forth. You were a beautiful well of knowledge, and you paid him for it, how funny was that?
You were smart to use code when talking to him, smart enough to cover your tracks with several different firewalls and VPNs, smart to keep your name hidden from him, only ever using aliases.
He knew you knew who he was, and as far as he could tell, you didn’t give a shit.
You were perfect for him, and he was certain to keep everything he did with you under wraps. Sometimes the information you’d slip to him would get to news stations, who would've guessed? It’d even sometimes end up in the hands of the police, how it got there, no one knew.
It was a dance he had with you, making the right moves got him anything he wanted, and you were happy to oblige in any way you could.
One day, you asked for his services once more, but you invited him to a bar. It was different, usually you asked him to meet you at places that were cute, unsuspecting, with low security and no cameras. But never a bar, much less an underground bar.
But, he was getting paid, so he wouldn’t complain.

With that, the two of you just talked that evening. You kept paying for drinks and even some food, introduced him to the owner of the bar, it was a kind old man you called gramps, and he even got to know the old man. You two never exchanged your real names, only telling each other about interests and passions, you didn’t have a quirk and wanted to be a doctor, but ended up being a secretary of sorts. “Whatever pays the bills”, you said, and that really resonated with him. He couldn’t tell you much, but you didn’t press for information.
You never did.
The two of you started to hang out a lot more, without payment. You invited him to what he assumed to be your apartment, since it was filled with things that you would like. Cute plushies, horror movie posters, pictures of yourself with friends, moths and butterflies littered the walls in shadow-boxes. It was certainly your home. He felt special to be trusted like this, he was sure to keep you a secret.
He wanted to have at least a little bit of a normal life with you.
You paid him to take information and kill off small time shit heroes, hung out with him on your days off and weekends, offered him a couch to sleep on when he wanted.
He considered you a friend and an ally, even if he didn’t know your name.
One day while he was hanging out in your living room, fucking with your game scores, he heared the door slam shut and you run to your room, slamming that door too.
He didn’t like that.
Carefully making his way to your door, he heard you talking to yourself, throwing things and screaming into pillows. Tomura opened the door slowly, only to be hit in the face with a small plushie, hearing you gasp immediately afterwards.

He picked up the plushy and walked into your room, tossing it on your bed before sitting next to you.

I made a mess of my breakfast this morning, I got a message from an old ex about how he 'misses me', crock of shit if you ask me- I missed my usual train so I was almost late to work, I couldn't get coffee until lunch and then I spilled my coffee! It's stupid but- Ugh…. The last straw was when my coat got hooked on the door on my way up…"
You laughed, putting your head in your hands. "Everything's just too much right now…"
Tomura nods, listening all the while. He felt something during this, he felt good to know you trusted him like this, ranting to him about these issues. They may have been meaningless, but they bothered you, and upset you, so they mattered to him.
He snorted, "What ex? Thought you don't date anymore."
"Yeah, since that last hero I haven't been doing anything with anyone, been too damn busy… This guy was from my last job, caught him texting someone else and left him. Why, you gonna get him back for it?"
Tomura shrugs as you lay down with a sigh. He lays down next to you, "Maybe, maybe not. Only if he bugs you again, 'kay?"
You chuckle, "Sure thing…"
You two laid like that for a moment, your breathing slowed as your heartrate did, and you let out a nice long breath.
"Tomura…"
He jolted up at the mention of his real name, looking down at you sharply, getting away from you quickly. Why did you say his name? What did you want? Were you bugged? Was he really safe here?
"Hey hey, easy now…" You sat up and put your arms out, "No need to freak out I just…. When we're like this, can't we use our names?"
"No, you might be-"
"Bugged? What, you think I wouldn't notice a whole feather from Hawks? A chip from the Commission? Come on, Tomura, I'm smarter than that…"
He stayed silent, not wanting to say anything else until you sighed, making a move to shut off your phone completely before you started taking it apart. He could see all the components, the battery… Nothing was out of the ordinary.
You told him your full name as you put your phone together, you explained you had access to the cameras attached to your building and would always alter the footage to show a loop of your hallway. You had a routine anyway, so it wasn't out of the ordinary if someone looked at it casually. You explained you checked every document you ever got, you never took your work bag further past your door, and you never used the laptop they gave you at home, anyway. You sat back on your bed with a small smile.
"Are you at ease now, Tomura…?"
He let out a breath and nodded, but he was still confused.
"Why now…?"
"Hm?"
"Why do you want to use my name now? Why give me yours?"
You shrugged, "Well I mean… You sleep on my couch, I don't really see why I can't trust you with my name. It's not like I didn't know who you were or what we were doing, and it's not like we're working now anyway. So…"
Tomura sighed, shrugging. "Sure, I guess…"
With that out of the way, you giggled, and that made him snap to look at you. "What?"
"Well I mean… I was just thinking… About the site we met on…"
He felt his face flush as he started walking out of your room, "What about it?"
You followed him out of your room, "Well I see that it's usually used for… Heheh, other things…"
"Like what?"
"Did you get paid to have sex with anyone~?"
He rolled his eyes as he started playing your games again, "Can't say, contracts and all that, you get it…"
"Oh please, as if either one of us cares about 'security', so spill it! Any old women? Men?"
Tomura smirked with a nod, "You're not my first Commission client~"

You laughed, and he chuckled at the normalcy being regained once again. He told you about all of his clients and the different things he'd done for them, and even told you about the heroes he'd been hired by too. Those stories made your night even better, because you had worked as damage control for the heroes that Tomura Shigaraki had previously had sex with! You were delighted with the new information, and even happier he had gotten some pictures too.
You really were a dream come true, and now he knew your name, too.
Things got busy for a little while, and Tomura hadn't been able to take clients, or even visit you. He was fighting for his vision after all, and with the information he had, he had plenty of fuel for his fire. He couldn't help but wonder though, what were you up to these days? Had you gotten back at that ex without his help? Were you still busy with work? Were you still living in that apartment?
Were you worried about him, too?
Of course you were. You couldn't reach out to look for him, that'd be far too dangerous. You could get hurt, arrested, the possibilities were endless with what could go wrong. But you were worried sick for him, especially after the news broadcasted the links heroes had found to the League of Villains after the raid on the Yakuza, and the attack on that Chisaki guy, you were scared. Not for your safety, but for his.
You couldn't tell him, Tomura would probably freak out if you told him how much you really cared. Hell, you were freaking out yourself, every time you had a relationship it always ended with them… Finding someone different. It always landed back with you looking at yourself in the mirror with doubt.
You knew, logically, it wasn't you who was the weak link in the relationships, but with how often it happened, you couldn't help but think… What if it was you?
What if Tomura didn't reach out until you paid him? What if he only reached out because you paid him? What if he wanted something more from you? What if- Your thoughts were cut short with a knock on your door, and you carefully made your way over.
Tomura had never knocked before.
You peaked through the peep-hole and felt your heart swell, quickly opening the door and pulling him inside, pulling him into a tight hug.
It was Tomura.
He was shocked at the response, unable to pull down his hood or take off his face mask because of your viper-like grip on him. Soon you let him go, immediately throwing questions at him.
"What the hell were you thinking!? Taking his arms!? Don't get me wrong the bastard deserved it- But what if you were caught!? You haven't talked to me in like a month- I thought you got caught by police or a hero or you died or something! You had me so worried-!"
"You were worried…?"
Your questioning stopped as you huffed, pushing some hair out of your face.
"Of course I was…"
He was shocked, as were you. You thought he'd know you were worried, but clearly not. What, had he never been fretted over before?
"Tomura-?"
He cut you off by grabbing your face, pulling you against him with a kiss. You huffed into the kiss and moaned into him, gripping his coat while pulling him against you. He kept his hold on your face, letting your weight push him against your door as you kissed him back.
Oh fuck, you kissed him back. You kept kissing him when his eyes shot open to look at you. You. You worried about him, you cared about him, you worked with him, you- You kissed him back! You were kissing him, and feeling him up too, before you pulled away.

Ask Game: Overhaul starts mass producing the permanent Quirk erasing bullets sooner and starts Dequirking people
So keep in mind that this first point is running somewhat parallel with what will follow--I don't have a good way to sort it chronologically. Togata becomes the Ninth Holder of One For All. Nighteye stops paying attention to the yakuza to train him. All Might never really bonds with Togata because it was Nighteye's choice, and All Might dies at Kamino. Togata himself will not survive the Eight Precepts raid. Shigaraki puts up no resistance to his body being stolen, and the procedure is completed without issue.
Overhaul's plan goes into effect: selling the Quirk-Destroying Bullets on the black market while simultaneously selling the cure to the bullets to the Heroes (after waiting long enough to ensure a demand). There are, however, a few complications that perhaps he did not consider. Like the MLA. Or the HPSC. Or All For One.
All For One and the HPSC both want to independently monopolize the drug, while the MLA want it destroyed at any cost. Overhauls' yakuza organization, comprised of nine decent fighters including himself, is unable to withstand that pressure. The Bullets drop one by one, and eventually even Overhaul himself is killed. However, the drug has by this point circulated quite a bit. If Garaki was canonically able to replicate it, I doubt he was the only one who could.
So to recap, the HPSC now has the ability to determine who gets Quirks at all, All For One has the drug, and if I cared enough to bring them up, Humarise would have the drug for their bombs. Meanwhile the MLA are super fucking annoyed about all of this, and since somehow the HPSC completely fucking missed that they exist before Hawks warned them in canon, that's a problem. So the HPSC crumples like the house of cards that it is, All For One shows up to beat up the MLA, and from there I think the next step is feudal warlords again?
Ten years into the collapse of society, Eri, now fifteen, is really fucking sick of AFO's bullshit. The only thing keeping him contained is the threat of New Order since he never got a chance to take OFA, but who knows how long that will last. What she doesn't realize is that in doing so, she throws a massive wrench into her own plans that she never could have foreseen: ensuring that All Might will meet a young boy named Midoriya Izuku. And god help her if she tries to resist his friend-making instincts.
