I theorize Yakuto is descended from Acnologia because, besides the hair and eye colors, he’s a dead ringer for young anime flashback Acno / Doctor.

So, Mashima had been secretly shipping Zeref and Acnologia all along and created an original story with two characters who are very obviously inspired by them, atleast in terms of visuals 🤭 I totally dig it.

What I wouldn't do to have a crossover where the characters of FT react to Yakuto and Chako/Zelecia.

Kinda random but with some exceptions, I like how Mashima will write his father characters as very loving

In interviews he disclosed he lost his father at a young age, so psychologically he’s probably projecting the relationship he wishes he had the chance to have with his own dad

I mean, there’s obvious daddy issues too as shown with a lot of his main characters, but ultimately the father figure in question loved his son figure

And I like that tbh
