“Stop it,” she heard both Dorian and Dione say from either side of her. She blinked and looked between both of them, then huffed and straightened her dress.
“My goodness. I haven’t done anything,” she replied to them with an indignant eyebrow.
Dorian’s face lifted in amusement as he seemed to watch her. “We’ll turn you into a high society lady yet, what with all that glaring.”
Francesca folded her hands neatly in front of her, turning to her daughter with an air of calm curiosity, effectively dismissing Dorian’s comment. “What were you two discussing?”
Dione met her mother’s gaze, her expression sharp and faintly defensive, a familiar glimmer of defiance flickering in her eyes. “My dissertation, mother. She found the topic intriguing because it’s… not exactly standard.”
Francesca arched an eyebrow, her curiosity sharpening. “Not exactly standard?”
For a moment, Dione hesitated, the faintest crack in her composure. “Unorthodox,” she admitted, her tone firmer now, as though willing the word to deflect further inquiry.
But Francesca had spent a lifetime reading people, especially her daughter. She saw the flicker of something hidden in Dione’s eyes—a secret being carefully guarded, and specifically from her. Her heart tightened as realization began to creep in. Her eyes widened, the calm she had projected breaking into bewilderment. “Dione,” she hissed, the word edged with both worry and frustration. Dione shook her head and turned away.
“I’m not starting this conversation,” she stated, taking a champagne flute off a passing tray and removing herself from her mother’s vicinity.
Francesca sighed, though she could feel an uncomfortable tightening in her chest, and throbbing at her temples as blood rushed to her head. She swallowed thickly as her thoughts raced to all sorts of unsavory subjects her daughter might’ve found. Ancient Tevinter texts had all sorts of terrible magic that had either been banned or outlawed over the years. She knew she was spinning herself up, but she couldn’t help but worry if the attraction to dark magic ran in Dione’s veins. She felt Dorian’s hand at her back as she tried to shake off her fear.
“She’s not like him,” Dorian said to her, and she felt a flood of everything she’d been trying to hold back crash through her. All of her fear of Dione turning out to be drawn to the type of magic her father was drawn to, what turned him against them, what he’d try to do to them. Dione was too young to remember, but every moment of their time with him was so clear before her. It settled behind her eyelids at night, and threatened to force its way from her chest in her waking hours. Being in Tevinter had only compounded her anxieties, and now she felt like she was watching her daughter waltz down the same path.
Francesca blinked away her tears. “Just tell me it doesn’t run in her blood, Dorian,” she muttered back, looking up to her friend pathetically. His expression was stoic, but she knew him well enough to see right through it. Magisters and their damned bloodlines, she thought angrily.
“We’ll make sure she won’t be led astray,” he assured her, then reached for two champagne flutes. “Besides, you may not know Sotera, but I do,” he said as she took the flute from his hand. “She’s knowledgeable on old practices enough to know where to stop Dione, and we will also be there to prevent her from getting too close.”
She took a deep breath and toasted Dorian before downing the glass of champagne. He shook his head at her. “Your etiquette just goes out the window when you’re stressed, doesn’t it,” he muttered, receiving a pointed glare in return. “Oh, my apologies, my lady.”
She grinned at that, remembering his earlier comment. “You can take the lady out of Nevarra...”
“Yes, but I thought Nevarra had etiquettes, no?” he retorted smugly.
She sighed. “I need to find Dione and apologize. It’s her birthday, Dorian. I’m horrible,” she grumbled as she craned her neck to look in the direction her daughter walked in.
“Don’t fret. Just give her time. She’ll come back around,” Dorian told her, then took a sip of his glass. As Francesca continued to search the party for her daughter, an attendant approached Dorian to whisper something in his ear. His eyes widened and Francesca vaguely heard him swear in tevene before he turned to give his flute to the man and take her by the shoulder. “Neve called,” he told her, and she immediately halted her search to widen her eyes at him.
“There’s another one.”

yo, what if in the movies the Chaos Emeralds were made by using stars? Like, each one is the condensed pure raw power of a star...
(spoilers for movie 3) but just the way the Eclipse Cannon exploded at the end and looked like a nebula got me thinking that it could potentially be related, especially cause we know that it was powered by Shadow's chaos energy...

I made box brownies. They're excellent. Something every baker should know...include a little instant coffee: made or granules.
Now that that's out there. Your JJk man is mad at you. How do you proceed?
Nanami, i feel like you just have to wait that shit out. He'll calm down sooner or later and talk it out with you.
Geto will be passive-aggressive, but you keep your head on straight and he'll eventually tell you what's wrong.
Gojo: show him your tits. He can't stay mad if you show him tits.
Sukuna...hope you don't make him mad.
Toji, flash your credit card a little. Buy him dinner for the one time. Give him a blow job when you get home. He'll chil out.

Hey 🧠 nonny bae! sorry this took so long I havent been feeling the best and ive been super busy😭😭
Nanami: omg I feel like we would have to have really done some bullshit for him to be mad 😭. Nananmi strikes me as the "dont go to bed angry type, so even if he was still mad he would still give us a kiss on the forehead a quick, love you before going to bed. And if we insisted he would still spoon us.
Geto: oh i definitely see that he is like king of PA lol. i feel like ya'll gonna have to mind game each other and its a battle of wills who caves first. although i feel like by the end, after all the layers of manipulation, neither of you know what you were bad about in the first place, end up hate fucking and calling it a day LOL.
Gojo: GoHOE is so easy to please lmfao. just baby him a bit and fuck him calm again.
Sukuna: LOL I think he would just start ignoring you and taking it out on everyone else around him. He would say he wouldn't want to see you but he's pouting waiting for you to come gravel. You of course dont want to get your head lopped off so you are avoiding him until Uraume has has enough and insists you go apologize. You wont be walking for the next week after all the makeup sex but at least you are still alive!
Toji: fihvnfdlnvskfjh not give him money. 😭😭 he aint gettin shit from me for free except 'free the bros' 😂😂. But I'll cook em a thanksgiving like spread and do a lil dance on that dick and he'll be alright. uhcaudbhfkhbfkd
Choso: skips being mad and goes straight to switch-dom mode and gonna fuck his frustration out. no condom and hes bustin inside so you better hope you on birth controlkjrehfnskhfvks.
Higuruma: run him a bath after a long day, have a meal and a wet puss ready and he is more than willing to forgive, hes too tired to stay mad anyway.

Summary: Mattheo and Theodore drag you into one of their little schemes, resulting in the three of you getting detention. What will they do when they seem to have lost you in the forbidden forest.

<><><>
It was an eerily quiet night in the castle. Too quiet, no student nor teacher in sight…not even a ghost. Halting to a stop, looking around suspiciously, straining your ears in search of a noise - maybe Peeves' vexatious schemes or Ms. Norris's beady paws- yet you heard nothing other than the wind blowing through the trees. Shifting the stack of books in your arms you continued your stroll back to the Slytherin common room. You spent the last beading hours of free time scrunched up over piles of books, preparing for OWLS. Chimes of the bells noted there were only a few minutes until curfew, most students had already found their way back to their common rooms - rather hoping to not be pulled into detention.
You hadn’t worried about increasing your pace, seeing as the dungeon was only around the corner and down the stairs. Even if you didn’t make it inside the common room before the last chime of the bell, the prefects didn’t tend to be in the area till five after. Clocking when and where at certain times, after falling asleep one too many times in the library. The sound of rapidly increasing footsteps and the shout of inaudible yells caused you to stop at the corner, confused. Peering over your shoulder, you noticed dumb and dumber running from a fuming filch and Ms. Norris. The smell of burnt skin filled the hall as they approached, you didn’t have time to question what they did before they forcibly grabbed you by the arms and continued running, the books you had just checked falling onto the floor.
You would think that the best place to hide would be the common room which was less than thirty feet away, and the benefit of Filch not being able to access inside. Unfortunately, Mattheo and Theodore dragged you down a different route. Up the stairs on the left, past the dragon statue, only to ascend up more flights of stairs. There was no reason that you would have to run away with these two - until the last bell of the night chimed, ringing through the halls - now you had no choice but to run from Filch.
The boys were ready to dash left - until you forcefully grabbed them by the collars - forcing them down a different path away from the group of Ravenclaw prefects that patrolled that section of the castle. The last thing you needed was to get busted by a know-it-all Ravenclaw prefect. Your legs were aching and your chest felt like it was going to burst from running all around the castle non-stop, but Filch was still on you. That lot of you hastily made your way to the moving stairs near Gryffindor Tower in hopes of losing Filch. He might have enough joy from throwing students into detention to fill his stamina for a while, but sooner or later it would have to die out.
You rounded the corner, the stairs were about to move and if you didn’t get on them now, you would be caught by Filch. The three of you booked it with what energy you had left, jumping over the gap created by the stairs moving. Mattheo and you landed barely just making it. Theodore on the other hand wasn't as lucky - holding on by his hands from the stairs trying to pull himself up before the stairs reconnected to another. Hastily, Mattheo and you grabbed him by his shoulder, hoisting him onto the stairs with you. Filch yelled at you all from his place on the bottom set of stairs that led to the third floor of the castle.
As you all caught your breaths you made it into the hall, taking the long way back to the common room. Grateful for the breeze cooling you down, you didn’t realize how hot it had gotten running. The adrenaline pumping through your veins makes it feel as if your body is cold. Maybe this was the feeling Mattheo and Theodore were always looking for. The excitement…the rush. The boys were rambunctiously laughing and hitting their hands together, sweat flinging from their heads as they moved around. Already feeling gross, choosing to speed up faster to get in front of them and away from their sticky sweat.
Rounding the corner, you immediately halted to a stop as you peered at the silvery-gray tabby cat, its eyes glistening eyes staring up at you before it morphed into a lanky woman in green robes, with pristine-pinned up gray hair. Any amusement that you previously felt earlier instantaneously drained from your body. At that moment, you wished it was Filch who had caught you and handed you off to Professor Snape, that would have been more tolerable. Maybe a little scrubbing of the cauldrons or the mopping of the dungeon floors. Mattheo and Theodore weren’t far behind, too busy messing around to notice the presence standing before them. As they approached your side, your hands quickly smacked them upside the back of their heads. Their quick remarks died out on the tips of their tongue as they finally recognized the women standing before them. You could almost see their souls physically deflating.
“Professor McGonagall, looking good tonight,” Mattheo said with a wink, shooting finger guns at her. A swift bludger to the side would have been better than being forced to see Mattheos’ weak attempts at smooth talking his way out of another detention. She remained motionless, but her presence was still ever so threatening. Hands clasped together in front of her, quizzical brow sitting high on her face. The wind appeared to be enacting a mirthless taunt as her eyes bore into you all.
“And what are the three of you doing away from your common rooms after curfew?” She questioned expectantly, her gaze piercing through your soul. A chill ran up your spine at her awaiting stare. There was no good lie for being on the other side of the castle during this time of night. Ms. Norris wouldn’t be the only cat you would have to watch out for in the halls from now on. It was like you were second years all over again, running into Professor McGonagall in her animagus form when you were roaming the castle - similar to tonight.
A horsed breathing appeared from behind you, turning around slightly, you noticed an extremely out-of-breath Filch and Ms. Norris. You hadn’t heard his lopsided footsteps coming, too focused on the trouble you had gotten dragged into. If your fate wasn’t sealed before it would definitely be now. “T-they were,” Filch started, leaning over to take a breath, “They were setting things on fire, burned the end of poor Ms. Norris’ tail in the process, ma’am.” It felt like you had hit a brick wall. Of course, that's where the smell of burning flesh came from. Not even wanting to know how they managed to get Filch's mangey snitch involved. Leave it to Mattheo to set things aflame.
With that, the professor requested that you all followed her to her office as she decided your fate. Maybe you would have to clean all of the animal droppings from today's Care of Magical Creatures class. Maybe she would have you scrub the great hall, or have you organize the entire library with the librarian. That would be a bore for sure. She sat at her desk silently, gazing up at the three of you every couple of minutes. Taking it upon yourselves to sit and relax before you found out your fate. Mattheo and Theodore took it upon themselves to start flicking pieces of paper at each other, not caring if it hit you in the process. It was a bad idea to decide to sit in between the two. “I’m surrounded by bloody idiots,” you groaned as you rubbed your temples, slipping further into the chair.
“Hey, at least we’re hot,” Theodore barked out, flicking a piece of paper straight at the side of your head. Mattheo laughed in the background, giving Theodore a high-five. Maybe you could get away with their deaths, that sounded more appealing than sitting with them.
“The only thing hot in here is the heat radiating from the lanterns,” you shot out with a laugh. Earning a ‘Hey!’ from the two boys sitting next to you. They weren’t going to be the only ones having fun tonight, especially not after dragging you into this. Mattheo and Theodore weren’t bad looking, but you would never confess that. It would go straight to their already small heads. They shared a singular brain cell most times for crying out loud.
It didn’t take long for McGonagall to shush you all. Standing up from her desk, pulling her glasses off to hang from her wrinkly neck, “Enough, tonight you three will be helping Hagrid in the forbidden forest.” She continued, gesturing to where Filch was standing in the corner, “Mr. Filch will guide you all there.” Filch's grimy smile spread across his face at the news. Groans left all of your mouths, going into the forbidden forest was a death wish. While Hagrid was never rude to anybody, unless they deserved it, being around him could be a bore. That was all left for Weaselbee, freak brain, and four eyes. You would think they were a gamekeeper like Hagrid with how much they hung out with the giant.
<><><>
The whole way to Hagrid's hut, Filch was going on and on about how he wishes he could punish students like he did in the old days. He even wished the lot of you a fake ‘good luck’, along with a ‘we’ll see if you're even alive tomorrow. His sickening laugh filled your ears as you pushed past him, ready to get this detention over with. Hagrid warned everyone of the danger promptly before rushing you all into the forest, complaining that it was us against the poachers. Whatever that meant, he didn’t elaborate until a while into the search, remembering that you didn’t know what you were searching for.
It had been an hour since you entered the forbidden forest with Hagrid, searching for an injured unicorn. Poachers had been on the rise and news got to Hagrid that an Unicorn managed to escape from their capture. Everyone was on high alert, between the acromantulas and dungbogs and the other creatures that resided in the forest, it wasn’t particularly the safest. Using your wands wasn't an option either, Hagrid was keen on it. Saying, ‘We don’t wanna get their attention,’ or something along those lines. Your attention is focused elsewhere. It was hard to see through the thick trees with only Hagrid's lantern.
The forest was dense and never-ending, fog covered the grounds making it hard for you to see where you were stepping. You swore you stepped on a pile of bones at one point, the crunch under your heel leaving you disturbed. That poor unfortunate soul. The further you walked into the forest, the harder it became. You swore your ears were playing jokes on you, a distant wailing ringing in your ears every now and again. It almost seemed to be beckoning you away from the group.
<><><>
Mattheo had lost count of how long you all had even been inside the forest. He wasn’t really paying attention, to begin with. To him, this was just another unfortunate detention. The poachers had to get the unicorn by now, their “attempts” at saving the creature were slim. It was the cycle of life anyways, there would be more unicorns in the future, but it's illegal so gotta go save 'em he guessed. He rolled his eyes at the idea, shoving his hands into his pocket.
Theodore and he tried messing around - whacking each other and jumping around - but were immediately stopped by Hagrid. Told that if they messed around they would scare the unicorn or attract poachers. Not that he cared much, he knew spells to easily get away from them or kill them. But he couldn’t mess up his father's plans, so getting away was the only option. Opting to mess with his wand in his pocket to entertain him.
After a while he started growing hungry, having missed dinner. He knew you typically carried snacks in the pockets of your robe, turning around he was bamboozled to see you were no longer there. Smacking Theodore, he prompted him to turn around, becoming equally confused when he noticed you were gone. “Oi, where is she?” He quipped, stopping to look through the dense trees for any sign of you.
“No idea mate, she was there a few minutes ago,” Theodore commented, walking back to where you were less than five minutes ago when he checked. He searched the bushes for any sign of struggle or broken branches but saw nothing. It was as if you vanished into thin air. There was no way in hell you would have gotten away from them without making some sort of sound.
Hagrid turned around at the sound of their voice, “What are yer’ talkin' bout?” He questioned, raising his lantern so he could get a better view of the boys. “And where's yer’ friend?” He searched around the area, worried that someone might have snatched you up from behind, but he was sure he would have heard footsteps. “We ought to find her, let's go.” He grumbled, not only was he searching for a unicorn, he was now searching for a missing student.
They had spent hours searching for you. The boys offered to split up to find you but were shut down. Hagrid couldn’t have more students to go searching for, finding you now was already hard enough. They had run into an acromantula nest at one point but luckily weren’t spotted. That was the last thing they needed. Theodore was unlucky as he had fallen into a hole, Hagrid spent five minutes pulling him out as Mattheo was dubbed over in laughter. That would be the highlight of his night. There was no way in hell that he would ever let Theodore live that down in his life. At this rate, they were lucky if they were to find you by daybreak.
The sound of laughter filled their ears, the three of them going on to high alert. Or, well higher alert, their shoulders tensed with stress as they were already searching for you. Believing it ought to be a poacher camp nearby. Mattheo and Theodore grabbed their wands out in preparation, worried that if they stumbled upon a poacher camp, so could you. Hagrid was getting ready to sneakily guide them away when they heard your voice.
Stopping, Theodore pushed the bushes apart ever so slightly to try to find you. Hagrid and Mattheo stood over his shoulder to see. They all sighed when they noticed you sitting on the ground, a small fire lit in front of you with an injured unicorn sitting at your side. They stepped through the bushes, “We’ve been looking for you everywhere,” Mattheo spat in disbelief, “and with a bloody unicorn at that,” He was absolutely exhausted from searching damn near the entire forest for you, and you just happened to be with the one thing they came in here for.
“Awh, you guys do care about me,” You gushed, tightening the fabric from your robe around the unicorn's injured leg. “And all this time I thought you were just heartless children with parental issues,” you laughed. You had broken off from the group when you heard the distant wailing. Normally you wouldn’t be bothered to look, but something in your gut told you to. When you reached where you heard the wailing, it happened to be the unicorn you were looking for.
Her leg had a large gash in it and she couldn’t walk anymore. She looked exhausted. Approaching her slowly, you made sure to put your wand away and walk towards her with your hands where she could see them. She was a sight to behold, her coat shining as if it was moonlight. You understood why her coat was so valuable. It took her a while to trust you but eventually gave in. Ripping the end of your robe, made a makeshift bandage around her leg, having to tighten it every once in a while when she moved. Pulling out a baggie of mixed nuts, you offered some to her, while you didn’t know about unicorn diets you hoped she would eat some. Luckily she ate away, and when she didn’t leave after a couple hours you made a small, unnoticeable fire to keep you warm until morning. She snuggles up to your side, safely.
“Maybe we should have left you to die,” Mattheo grumbled, ready to smack you for making them worry. But they would never tell you how worried they were, they wouldn’t hear the end of it if they did. At the end of the day, or well morning, they were just glad you were safe. This would definitely go down as one of their most eventful detentions.

Characters: Takashi Mitsuya x Reader, Keisuke Baji, Nahoya Kawata, Takemichi Hanagaki, rest of Toman mentioned
Warnings: Swearing, bitches messy asl, idek girl this shit jus came to me
A/N: Italics+bold=other girl
"Bitch, you look like a fucking mutt, bitch."
Right now, you and Toman were on the way to see a movie. You sure as hell was not getting on no motorcycle, so ya'll were walking.
However, comma, dumbass Takemichi had to use the restroom even after you told everyone to go before ya'll left.
So, ya'll stop at a park so he can go. While ya'll were waiting, some little girl wanna come up and flirt with your man.
At first, you were side-eyeing her and rolling your eyes like, 'Bitch, get the fuck on.'
You brushed it off, cause you know you and Mitsuya are locked in for real. Besides, everyone could tell he wasn't feeling her at all.
Now, not once during this whole ordeal was you ever disrespectful towards that little girl, but she wanna be rubbing on his arm and shit. So, you had to do something. As politely as you could muster, you said, "Uhm, ion think my man wants you touching all on him like that."
And you gently pushed her crusty hands off him. Then, she wants to go and get disrespectful and say, "Don't touch me, you musty bitch."
Okay, now you're upset.
Then, Mitsuya, being the gentleman he is, says, "You need to watch your mouth. I really wasn't interested anyway." And shrugs her off.
Then, for some reason, she wanna go off on you.
"Bitch, please. You look like Freddy Krueger. I really should beat your ass."
Mitsuya, already knowing something was about to happen, was already between the two of you and pushing you back.
That aint do shit, though, cause all you did was yell over his shoulder.
"Nigga, you should not be talking, ho. You got a whole seafood boil in your panties." At this point, you was reaching over his shoulder, trying to grab her, cause she wanna fight, right? But Mitsuya was not having it. Nigga was holding you back, tryna talk you out of fighting that little girl.
At that, the bitch was just standing there, not doing anything, but she wanted to talk all big and bad, so you called her out.
"Bring yo Hungry, Hungry, Hippo looking ass over here, bitch. You aint slick. I thought you wanted to beat my ass."
Now she wanna walk up (still a safe distance away, cause the bitch is scary as fuck) and start putting her hands in your face.
"Bitch, you're scary; you're terrifying, ho! Run up, get done up, bitch! I'm like that."
You really have to look at her like she's dumb, cause she can see you're being held back. "Bitch, you look like a fucking mutt, bitch. You see he's not letting me go. Don't try and play that."
At this point, you're done arguing with a stupid ho, so you let Mitsuya take you back to the rest of Toman.
Everybody else brought their girlfriend too, so they were ready to fight because the bitch on the phone was talking about, "Let me call my friends," like a bitch. You and your friends can get it.
You see that Takemichi is back, and everyone was ready to go. Except for Nahoya and Baji, who had one arm around their girlfriends and were recording the fight with the other. You roll your eyes at them and smile.
"Ya'll ghetto as fuck." You laugh, smacking their heads.
"Aint you fighting with some girl in public?" Baji points you out.
"For real." Nahoya backs him up.
"Nah, cause she wasn't ready for this work." You giggle and go to hold Mitsuya's hand.
"Come on, so we can go see this movie."

APRIL 2022
The arena was bustling with excitement and nerves as Friday Night Smackdown was about to begin. Staff were prepping for script changes, wrestlers were getting ready for their segments, cameras were positioned strategically to capture every moment, and the crowd buzzed with anticipation.
Kayla Braxton was standing outside, cameras following her and mic in hand as the show started, and she waited as an SUV pulled up to the arena's entrance. Flashing lights from cameras greeted the opening car door as it parked, and a crew member quickly opened the door.
Out stepped you from the drivers seat, clad in a black tank top and a sleek black leather jacket, adorned with the Raw Women's Championship around your waist.
You smirked as you moved to the other side of the car and opened the passenger door. Jey emerged, looking every bit as confident as you did, with a smiling Jimmy in tow with him, the tag team titles around your waists. Then Paul, and, the crowd's excitement escalated as the reigning Universal Champion, Roman Reigns, stepped out from the back seat.
You smirked from next to Roman at Kayla as you made your way towards her, the camera crew capturing every move. Confidence, glamour, and power exuded from you as you approached Kayla. Kayla smiled as the four of you passed her, holding the mic towards you all, your Raw Women's Championship catching the glint of the spotlight.
"Bloodline, an explosive Wrestlemania for the 4 of you. After all of you retained your gold, Roman against Brock, Y/N against Shayna, and The Usos against Nakumara and Boogs, what's next for the Bloodline on Smackdown tonight?"
Roman paused for a moment, his piercing gaze fixed on Kayla before he took the microphone from her hand. The arena hushed in anticipation as the Tribal Chief prepared to address the question.
"What's next for the Bloodline?" Roman repeated, his voice oozing authority. "What's next is dominance, Kayla. We did what we said we'd do at Wrestelmania, and that is solidify our dominance over this entire company. The Universal Championship, the Raw Women's Championship, and the Tag Team Titles—all held by the Bloodline. That's not just gold; it's power. And tonight, SmackDown will witness the continuation of our reign."
Kayla nodded at Roman's words, the atmosphere heavy with the weight of the Bloodline's presence. She then turned her attention to you, the Raw Women's Champion.
"And Y/N, after a brutal match against Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania, what's your mindset coming into SmackDown?"
You took the mic from Kayla, a confident smirk playing on your lips. The arena was filled with a mix of cheers and boos, a testament to the polarizing effect of your allegiance to the Tribal Chief.
"My mindset, Kayla?" you responded, your voice steady.
"It's simple. I'm here to dominate. Shayna threw everything she had at me, but I'm still standing here with this championship around my waist. The darkness within me is stronger than ever, and tonight, I'll prove that I'm not just a champion, I'm not just the princess of pain; I'm the queen of this division.
And Shayna thought that she could break me like Ronda tried to break me, but all she did was fuel the fire within. And the only way she's gonna get another shot at this title, is if she wins the 4 way match tonight. But trust me, I'm not planning on letting go of this gold anytime soon."
Shayna had thought you were still the same women who Ronda beat 2 years ago, and thought it would be a cakewalk to take your title from you. But you quickly proved her wrong when you fought her in a street fight and made her pass out in her own hold and regret underestimating you.
The scars from that match still adorned your body, but they were badges of honor, that not only marked your resilience but also sent a message to the entire Women's Division that you have been sending for the past 2 years—that you are willing to break anyone who stands in your way.
You laughed, a confident and almost menacing tone to it, as if daring anyone to challenge your reign, and Kayla shifted her focus to Jey and Jimmy, the Tag Team Champions, who stood beside you with smirks mirroring your own.
"And what about The Usos?" Kayla inquired. "What's next for the Tag Team Champions?"
Jey took the mic, his voice filled with the same confidence that you had. "You know, Kayla, it's like this. We're the best tag team in the world, and them titles around our waists ain't going anywhere. We proved it at WrestleMania, and we'll keep proving it. Ain't nobody gonna take these titles from us." Jey finished by wrapping an arm around your shoulder, making you automatically lean into his side, a small smile playing on your lips.
Jimmy nodded in agreement, a smirk playing on his face. "That's right. We're here to dominate the tag team division. Ain't no team stepping up to the Bloodline and coming out on top. We're family, and that bond makes us unstoppable."
Kayla nodded, turning back to Roman. "And Roman, Drew Mycintire has made it clear that he wants another shot at the Universal Championship. What are your thoughts on that?"
Roman chuckled, a low and menacing sound. "Drew McIntyre wants another shot, huh?"
He shook his head with a smirk. "Drew, you had your chance, and you failed. This is the Bloodline's era, and I'm not wasting my time on someone who couldn't get the job done the first time. If he wants another shot, he needs to prove himself. Maybe he can start by going through Jey here." Roman gestured towards Jey, who nodded in agreement.
Jey stepped forward, his eyes fixed on the camera. "Drew, if you want a shot at the Universal Championship, you gotta go through me first. And I promise you, it won't be an easy task."
Jimmy chimed in, "And even if you manage to get through Jey, I'll be waiting for you. Y/N will be waiting for you. Roman will be waiting for you. The Head of the Table doesn't waste his time on anyone who doesn't deserve it."
You leaned in, the Raw Women's Championship glinting in the arena lights, as you added your final words. "So, Drew, Shayna, if you guys want to have another shot at our titles, try to fracture our dominance, just know that you'll have to go through each one of us before you even get close."
Roman paused before continuing, a smirk on his face. " Good luck tonight, cause wherever the Bloodline goes, goes, gold follows, and we don't plan on letting go anytime soon."
With those final words, you flipped your curly hair and joined the boys and Paul in leaving Kayla, who watched as the 4 of you walked away with an air of dominance and confidence.
You were on top of the world, as you had been for the past 2 years. Women have tried to dethrone you, but none succeeded. Kevin was finally no longer a thorn in your side as he had gone to do his own thing on Raw, and you were glad for that. You wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but you missed him, and were glad when his feud with Roman ended, not wanting him to keep getting hurt. But you now had The Bloodline, who you trusted and knew wouldn’t stab you in the back, unlike him.
You were the epitome of dominance, the queen of the division, and with the Bloodline by your side, there seemed to be no end to your reign, and nothing was gonna stop that.
Yet there was a certain someone watching you on the screen that would beg to differ.
It was Sami Zayn, who was trying to become the number one contender for the universal Championship.
"How dare Drew try to take my spot?" Sami angrily muttered to himself. But then a lightbulb went off in his head, and an idea quickly formed If he couldn't beat Drew directly, maybe he could indirectly influence the outcome, and in the process, get his best friend back.
You sucked in a breath as Jey pressed the cold ice pack onto your rib, pushing it when you tried to move away.
You were still hurting from your match with Shayna, and despite you claiming you were fine, Jey insisted on taking care of you. Roman and Paul were talking amongst themselves, while Jimmy was talking to Trinity on the phone, and you and Jey were sitting in the cor ner of the locker room.
“You’re taking it easy tonight.” It wasn’t a question, it was a demand from Jey, his voice firm. You rolled your eyes but winced at the movement.
"Fine, Nurse Jey," you teased, earning a playful glare from him. He continued to apply the ice pack, his touch gentle despite the playful banter.
“I’m serious, Y/N. No getting physically involved with Drew or any of the women. I don’t want you getting hurt any more than you already are,” Jey said, his tone firm and protective.
You sighed, recognizing the concern in his eyes. “But I know Drew is gonna already be mad and take it out on you. I can’t just stand there and watch.”
“I said no.” You opened your mouth to protest but Jey cut you off with a stern look. “Baby, you gotta listen to me on this. We got this handled. Roman is dealing with Drew, and Jimmy and I will take care of anyone else. You need to focus on healing up.”
You huffed, not entirely happy with the decision, but you knew Jey had a point. You leaned back, wincing slightly as you adjusted your position.
“Alright, Nurse Jey. I'll behave tonight.” You gave him a half-smile, acknowledging his concern.
“Good.” Jey finally seemed satisfied, setting the ice pack aside. He then leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. “I just don’t like seeing you hurt. I’m sorry if I gave you some lip. I just don't want you getting yourself hurt."
You softened at Jey's words, the protective side of him always managing to melt your defenses. "I know, Jey. And I appreciate it. I just don't want anyone to hurt you." You leaned in and kissed him softly, a gesture of reassurance.
Jey chuckled into the kiss, the tension in the air dissipating. "I can take care of myself, princess." He mumbled against your lips as he pulled away.
"I know you can," you replied with a playful grin. "But it doesn't hurt to have a little extra protection."
Jey raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Extra protection, huh? I like the sound of that."
You playfully swatted his chest. "Not like that, dumbass. I meant keeping your hot headedness in check.
Jey rolled his eyes playfully, but brought you into another quick kiss. "I can't promise to tone down the hot-headedness, but I'll try to be careful for you."
You smiled, appreciating the compromise. "That's all I ask."
Jey smirked, a hint of mischief in his eyes. "Can't wait to see yo fine ass on commentary, tonight. This top is gonna be the death of me."
You chuckled, feeling the warmth of Jey's playful banter. "Maybe I should start my own commentary on your matches. 'And here we have Jey Uso, looking all fine as he kicks some ass in the ring.'"
Jey laughed, a genuine and carefree sound. "You'd make a great commentator, princess. Better than those clowns on TV."
You grinned, enjoying the lighthearted moment before the intensity of the night's events. "Well, maybe I'll consider it after I retire from in-ring action."
Jey nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Be at commentary for my match too, not just the ladies?" His voice was soft, a hint of vulnerability beneath the playful tone.
"Of course, Jey," you replied sincerely, meeting his gaze. "I'll be there for your match too. Cheering you on from the commentary table."
Jey's smile widened, a genuine appreciation in his eyes. "That's all I need, princess."
"Are you lovebirds finally done with your little chat?" Roman's deep voice interrupted, a smirk playing on his lips as he entered the conversation.
Jey rolled his eyes at Roman's teasing. "Just making sure she doesn't get involved where she shouldn't."
Roman chuckled, his gaze shifting to you. "He's right. Don't get involved physically, Y/N. Drew is expecting that. Mind games are more effective. Let him get frustrated, and we'll handle the rest in the ring."
"Yeah, lovebirds. Listen to him." Jimmy smirked as he joined the conversation. You rolled your eyes at his teasing. "Says the person who was just talking to Trinity on the phone," you retorted, earning a playful glare from Jimmy.
"Alright, Alright." Roman interrupted the banter, standing up and stretching. The atmephosre immediately turned serious. You hopped off the bench, feeling a bit more refreshed after the ice treatment.
"Let's get ready," Roman declared, his authoritative tone taking over. "Y/N, remember what we talked about. Jey, Jimmy, be on the lookout for any interference. We don't want any surprises tonight."
The three of you nodded in unison, and you dapped Jimmy and Roman up, and when you did the same with Jey you intertwined your fingers and brought him into a quick but reassuring kiss. "See you guys later." You smiled at them before heading towards the gorilla position, where you'd make your entrance for the night and make sure Shayna didn't win.
The arena was buzzing with energy as your music hit, and you walked out with the Raw Women's Championship draped over your shoulder, the crowd's cheers and boos echoing through the arena.
You mockingly blew kisses at the fans as you waved at Shayna, Rhea, Sonya and Liv. Liv was the only one to wave back, the others maintained a stern expression. Shayna glared at you, screaming about how she was gonna beat them and take your title.
You made your way to commentary, smirking as you settled into the commentary chair, slipping on the headset. Michael Cole greeted you with a professional smile.
"Welcome, Y/N, It's great to have you here on commentary tonight," Michael Cole said, his voice carrying through the arena's sound system. "Who here would you want to face and defend your title against?"
"Well it's definelty not against someone like Shayna Baszler again," you responded with a confident smirk. "I've already proven that I can handle her. As for who's next, well, I'm open to challenges. Anyone who thinks they can step up to the queen and take this championship, feel free to try."
You made sure to keep an eye out for anyone else, you weren't stupid, you knew where Shayna was Ronda was likely not far behind, and you were tired of facing them.
So, you waited for the perfect time. When you saw Shayna was about to steal the victory on Sonya cause Liv and Rhea were too focused on each other to notice.
That's when you decided to make your move and disqualify everyone from the match. None of them would get a clean win, and you'd walk away with your title still intact and not have to defend it from them.
Standing up from the commentary table, you grabbed the Raw Women's Championship, a wicked grin on your face that fell when seemingly out of nowhere, Drew stood in front of you, a smirk on his face as you glared at him.
"Move." You snarled at him, trying to move past him, but he held his ground, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Not so fast, Y/N," Drew said, his tone taunting. "I saw what you were planning. Trying to save your title by getting everyone disqualified? That's not how a true champion operates."
You scowled at Drew, frustration building up. "Stay out of my business, McIntyre. This doesn't concern you."
Drew chuckled, folding his arms across his chest. "Oh, it concerns me, all right. Cause earlier Roman said I have to go through all members of the Bloodline if I want another shot at the Universal Championship. And well, starting with you seems like a good idea."
You gritted your teeth, annoyed at Drew's interference. Time was ticking, and you needed to act fast to salvage your plan. Before Drew could react, you swung the Raw Women's Championship, aiming for his head. However, he ducked just in time, and the title belt collided with the steel ring post, creating a loud clang.
You tried to capitalize off your distraction and go to the ring but Drew was quick to grab your arm, pulling you back. It wasn't enough to hurt, Drew wouldn't injure you on purpose, but it was a firm grip to keep you from escaping.
"Let go of me, McIntyre!" You growled, struggling against his hold. Your frustration grew as your plan unraveled.
Drew smirked, enjoying the control he had over the situation. "Make me."
The two of you were so caught up in your struggle that neither of you noticed Ronda slipping inside the ring from the back and holding Shayna's feet on the ropes as she pinned Sonya, the ref not noticing her interference.
The bell ringing made you and Drew turn to the ropes to see Shayna and Ronda out of the ring and laughing gleefully at the win. Your frustration reached its peak as you realized your plan had not only failed but backfired spectacularly, and it was all Drew's fault. God, why couldn't Ronda and Shayna just leave you alone?
As Shayna and Ronda gloated outside the ring, Drew released his grip on you, a satisfied smirk on his face. You shot him a furious glare, your initial plan of costing everyone the match so you wouldn't have to deal with the 2 of them ompletely foiled.
"You might want to focus on your own problems, Y/N," Drew taunted, pointing to your belt that laid on the ground, a visible dent on one side from its collision with the ring post.
You seethed with anger, feeling the frustration boiling inside you. Drew had not only disrupted your plan but also humiliated you in the process.
You screamed in anger, slamming your fist against the barricade as you watched Shayna and Ronda celebrate their underhanded victory. "Jey is gonna destroy you!" You yelled at Drew, who was leaned against the ring apron, a smug expression on his face.
Drew laughed, seemingly unfazed by your threat. "Let him try. I'm not afraid of the Bloodline. And as for you, Y/N, take this as a warning to not concern yourself in in my business with Roman like you have done with his other competitors. Cause I'm not like other challengers. I won't let anyone interfere in my quest for the Universal Championship."
You shot Drew a venomous look but decided against engaging in any further confrontation. He was twice your size, and a direct physical altercation wouldn't end well, especially with your current state after the match with Shayna.
With a final glare, you picked up your dented Raw Women's Championship, ignoring Drew's lingering presence, and made your way backstage.
The anger and frustration lingered, simmering beneath the surface as you walked through the backstage area. You slammed locker room doors, your mind racing with thoughts of revenge and payback.
"Asshole." You yelled out as you slammed open the locker room door, not looking at the guys and pacing angrily.
"Did you see what that idiot did to me!" You bellowed out, dropping your title on the table. You still hadn't looked up, still too deep into your frustration. "He messed up everything, and now Shayna and Ronda are celebrating a win they didn't earn!"
You kicked the chair in frustration, sitting down on the bench with a huff and running your hands across your face. "And then he damaged my title! Then he had the nerve to give me a warning about staying out of his business with Roman! Can you believe that?"
You were handed a water bottle and, you took it and took a long swig, the cool liquid doing little to ease the fire of anger burning within you as you finally looked up.
"Thank you Sami- Sami!?" You choked on your drink as you saw Sami standing in the locker room, Roman, Jimmy, and Jey sitting there, their faces also a mix of confusion.
But Jey's also had a hint of anger as he stared at Sami, who was standing with a mischevious grin, but also scared look in his eyes, like he didn't know whether you were gonna beat his ass or not, but he was willing to take the risk anyways.
"What is he doing here?" You turned to Roman, who was sitting with a raised eyebrow, his gaze shifting between you and Sami. Sami, sensing the tension in the room, cleared his throat nervously.
"I came here to acknowledge the Tribal Chief, and acknowledge his position as the Head of the Table," Sami declared, attempting to sound formal but failing miserably under the intense scrutiny of the Bloodline.
Roman leaned back, his expression unreadable. "Is that so?"
Sami nodded, still trying to maintain a composed demeanor. "Yes, and I wanted to propose a truce. A collaboration, if you will."
You couldn't help but scoff at Sami's audacity. "Umm, did I suddenly fall and hit my head? Is this some kind of alternate universe of delusionalness that Sami is living in?"
You stood up and glared at Sami, your frustration with the earlier events now directed at the unexpected presence of the master stragestist and your former best friend.
Roman held up a hand, signaling for you to calm down. You huffed at him, but Jey grabbed you and sat you on his lap before you would do something you would regret later.
"Explain yourself, Sami," Roman demanded, his gaze piercing through Sami's attempts at diplomacy.
Sami shifted nervously, realizing the need to provide a convincing explanation. "Well, it's simple. Drew has been a thorn in my side, and I know he's coming after Roman. My reputation has been blown because of Drew these past few weeks, and everyone thinks I'm scared of him but I'm not!
And I know he's w he's coming after Roman. If we take him down together, it benefits both of us. I get rid of Drew, and you maintain your dominance. Plus, I can help you deal with any other nuisances that might come your way, such as R-Kbro. You didn't hear it from me, but they are planning on taking the tag titles from the uses and unifying them, and if you ask me, they are the most undeserving self centered pieces of shit ever."
Roman raised an eyebrow, considering Sami's proposal. "And what do you get out of this, Sami?"
You scoffed, but Jey tightened his grip on you, silently signaling for you to let Roman handle the situation.
Sami's eyes darted between Roman and you, his confidence wavering. "Well, besides getting rid of Drew, I was hoping we could, you know, rekindle our friendship. I've realized the value of having powerful allies, and I think being on good terms with the Bloodline could open up new opportunities for me."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing. The past 2 years you had spent building your own empire within the Women's Division, and had to make the difficult decision to leave Sami behind.
And now he was here, acting like the past didn't matter, proposing a truce and pretending like everything could go back to how it was. Was he planning revenge on you for abandoning your friendship, or was this just another one of his schemes?
Roman's gaze remained fixed on Sami, a thoughtful expression on his face. After a moment of silence, he leaned forward, his voice low and authoritative. "And you would take out Drew for us? Just like that?"
Sami nodded eagerly, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. "Yes, exactly! I know his weaknesses, his strategies. I can be an asset to the Bloodline in taking him down."
Roman leaned back, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Interesting proposition, Sami. But let me make one thing clear. We don't need anyone's help to handle our business. If we decide to take down Drew, it'll be on our terms, not because we need you."
Sami swallowed nervously, sensing the skepticism in the room. "I understand, Roman. I just thought it could be a mutually beneficial arrangement." Sami's eyes went to you at the last line, a hint of sadness and regret in his gaze. Jey glared at Sami when he looked at you, his protective instincts kicking in.
"Mutually beneficial my ass. You're just trying to save your own skin, dumbass." Jey spat at Sami, jealousy and annoyance evident in his tone. Damn, you could feel the tension between them rising, and they barely even had any interaction. Sami shifted uncomfortably under Jey's intense gaze.
"Yo, Jey chill out." Jimmy interjected, trying to diffuse the growing tension.
Roman raised a hand, signaling for everyone to calm down. "Enough, all of you." The room went silent, and Roman's gaze shifted between you, Jey, Jimmy, and Sami. "Sami, we'll consider your proposal. But don't think for a moment that you're indispensable. We've handled our business just fine without you."
Sami nodded, looking relieved that Roman didn't outright reject his proposition. "Thank you so much for considering Roman! I just want a fair chance to prove myself to you," His eyes shifted to you, and sadness filled them when he saw Jey rubbing your back soothingly. "And to her."
Jey glared at Sami, but before he could say anything, Roman spoke again. "We'll let you know, Sami. Now, leave us."
Sami nodded and quickly exited the locker room, leaving you, Jey, Jimmy, and Roman in a tense silence. Roman broke the silence with a sigh.
"Say what you want to say, Y/N." Roman knew you were dying to express your thoughts on Sami's unexpected appearance and proposition.
You took a deep breath, your frustration still lingering, but you knew this wasn't the time to let it out on Roman or anyone else in the room. "Roman, are you seriously considering teaming up with him? After everything he did?"
Roman leaned back, his expression serious. "I'm considering all options, Y/N. Sami might be a snake, but if he can help us take down Drew and further solidify our dominance, I'll use him for that purpose. We don't need to trust him, but we can use him to our advantage."
You huffed in frustration, not entirely satisfied with Roman's response. Jey's grip on you tightened, a silent reassurance that he had your back.
"I don't like it either, Y/N, but if it helps us deal with Drew, then it's worth considering," Jimmy chimed in, his voice calm but firm. He was always the peacemaker of the group, trying to find common ground. "We'll keep an eye on Sami. If he tries anything, we shut him down. Simple as that."
You shot Jimmy a look, still unconvinced. "He's just gonna stab me in the back the first chance he get's. He wants to get revenge on me for leaving him behind." You didn't let yourself believe anything else. You knew Sami was very forgiving, but you couldn't get caught up in past sentiments. You had built your own path, and Sami's sudden return threatened the stability you had achieved.
Roman nodded, understanding the concerns. "We'll be cautious, Y/N. No one gets a free pass, especially not someone like Sami. But for now, our focus is on dealing with Drew and maintaining our dominance on SmackDown."
Jey finally spoke up, his voice a low growl. "If Sami tries anything against you, he's gonna have to deal with me." You moved off of his lap and sat beside him, seeing the angry look on his face. "I saw the way his dumbass was looking at
you. I shoulda beat his ass."
"Jey," Roman interrupted, sensing Jey's hot headed side about to get the best of him. He didn't need any uncessary fights. He needed Jey to focus on taking out Drew. "We handle things strategically. Tonight, you focus on Drew, not Sami. Get ready for your match. And Y/N, keep an eye on Sami. We don't trust him, but if he can be useful against Drew, we'll use him."
You internally scowled at Roman's decision, but you knew better than to argue further. The Bloodline always had a plan, and you had to trust Roman's leadership.
"Fine," you replied, your tone still tinged with frustration.
"Good." Roman clasped his hands together, the air in the locker room heavy with the weight of the upcoming battles. "Let's focus on tonight. Jey, handle Drew. Y/N, stay vigilant with Sami. We'll deal with each challenge as it comes. This is our show, and no one gets in the way of the Bloodline."
The intensity of Roman's words resonated in the locker room. Jey nodded, a determined look in his eyes. Jimmy chimed in with a supportive nod. You sighed, reluctantly accepting the plan, but your mind was already racing with thoughts of Sami and the potential risks he brought to the Bloodline.
"Good luck, baby." You turned to Jey and gave him a good luckkiss, the lingering frustration momentarily replaced by a mixture of concern and affection. Jey smiled, appreciating the support, and then stood up, ready to face Drew in the upcoming match.
You ran your hand over your face and let out a groan when everyone dispersed. You know what? You were gonna take care of this Sami problem before it even became a problem. You stood up, heading towards the door with determination in your steps. The arena was still buzzing with the aftermath of the chaotic match, but you had your sights set on finding Sami.
As you walked through the backstage area, the anger and frustration that had been building up since your failed plan and the unexpected encounter with Sami continued to fuel your determination. Spotting Sami in the corridor, you quickened your pace, the clacking of your boots echoing through the hallway. Sami turned around, a surprised look on his face, realizing that you were heading straight towards him.
"Y/N, hey!" Sami greeted, attempting to sound casual, but the nervousness in his eyes betrayed his facade.
You stopped in front of him, your expression stern. "Sami, we need to talk."
Sami gulped, glancing around as if searching for an escape route. He knew a slap was probably coming. "Talk? About what?"
You took him by the arm and pulled him into an empty room, shutting the door behind you. The atmosphere in the room became tense as you crossed your arms, fixing Sami with an intense gaze. "Just get it over with."
Sami shot you a confused look. "Get what over with?"
You rolled your eyes, losing patience. "The whole 'rekindling our friendship' act, Sami. If you wanted to get revenge, you should have just said it outright. Don't play games with me."
"I'm not playing any games." Sami shot back at you defensively, his eyes wide with genuine surprise. "Why would I try to get revenge on you?"
Your eyes narrowed at Sami, skepticism evident in your expression. "You're telling me that after all these years, you suddenly want to be friends again just out of the blue? After I left you behind? And you conveniently when you need something from the Bloodline?"
Sami sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Y/N, I get it. I messed up when you left, and I went down a different path. But I've realized that I need powerful allies, and the Bloodline is the most dominant force in the WWE, and if aligning with them also means being best friends with you again, then so be it."
You scoffed, finding it hard to believe Sami's sudden change of heart. If you were him, you wouldhave a hard time trusting someone who had left you behind for their own ambitions. "I don't buy it, Sami. You're not fooling anyone with this act. What's your real game here?"
Sami sighed again, frustration evident in his expression. "I told you, I'm not playing any games. I need the Bloodline's help to deal with Drew, and if it means mending our friendship, then fine. But there's no hidden agenda here."
You remained skeptical, the tension in the room palpable. His soft voice was threading to break your resolute stance. You needed to believe that Sami just wanted to get revenge, cause if you didn't that would jeopardize the stability you had worked hard to achieve within the Bloodline.
"Look, Y/N," Sami continued, his tone sincere. I get why you left, I really do, and I don't fault you for it. But ever since you did, I've lost matches, opportunities, and respect. I don't want revenge on you; I just want a chance to make things right and maybe, just maybe, be a part of something powerful again."
You stared at Sami, conflicted emotions swirling within you. The past memories of your friendship with Sami clashed with the skepticism born out of the betrayals you experienced. Could it be possible he actually forgave you for your rightful wrongdoings?
You didn't answer him, and Sami sighed, licking his lips nervously. "Look, I miss my reputation being intact, but I also miss you. And I know you missed me too."
You glowered at him. "I do not miss you."
Sami raised an eyebrow at you, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. "Then why are you here, listening to what I have to say?" he asked, a confident yet desperate glint in his eyes. "Why did you drag me in here and let me plead my case if you don't care at all?"
The room fell into a heavy silence, tension thick enough to cut with a knife. Sami's gaze bore into you, searching for any sign of vulnerability, while you grappled with conflicting emotions.
You thought of something you could say to rebut his plea, something that would assert your strength and independence. But for the first time in a long time, you were speechless.
Sami leaned back, his confident demeanor faltering as he waited for your response. The room seemed to close in around you, amplifying the intensity of the moment. Finally, you broke the silence, your voice measured and cold.
"I am not here for you, Sami. I am not even here for myself," you declared, your eyes narrowing. "I am here for Roman, and that's the truth."
Sami's eyes widened in a mix of frustration and realization. He leaned forward, placing his hands on the table, attempting to regain control of the situation. "And what did he tell you?"
Sami drummed his fingers impatiently on the table, his gaze piercing through you. "He told you that he could use me to hurt Drew and then he could discard me like the trash he thinks I am right? But you don't want me to get hurt, which is why you are trying to stop me from even aligning with the Bloodline."
Damn him and his ability to read you like a book.
You remained composed, refusing to let his words shake you. Instead of denying his words, you set your hands on top of his on the table, holding them firmly to stop his agitated drumming.
Your eyes locked in a heated stare down, your hands were burning with each others touches, and you let out a calm exhale before responding. "Stay away from the Bloodline, Sami."
Sami just gave you a wry smile, his eyes still searching yours for any signs of weakness. He slowly pulled his hands away from yours, maintaining eye contact. "I can stay away from them, but I can't stay away from you." He bit his lower lip, a mix of frustration and longing in his eyes.
You scoffed at his declaration, disentangling your hands from his. "Don't mistake my concern for weakness, Sami. This isn't about you and me. It's about protecting what matters to me, and that includes Roman."
Sami leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression replacing the frustration on his face. "You know, deep down, you still care about me. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here, trying to convince me to stay away from the Bloodline. And you know I care about you too."
Your patience was wearing thin. "Goodbye, Sami. If I were you, I would realize that my loyalty lies with Roman, not with the shadows of our past."
That was a lie, but you needed to assert your allegiance to Roman, even if it meant distorting the truth. Sami's gaze lingered on you for a moment, and you could sense the internal struggle within him. As you turned to leave, he spoke in a softer tone, devoid of the usual confidence.
"Ronda and Shayna are planning to attack you in 5 minutes in the B-Hallway. Be careful."
You halted in your tracks, your back still turned to Sami. A mixture of surprise and suspicion crossed your face. "Why are you telling me this?"
Sami sighed, his tone genuine. "I told you, I care about you. I overheard them talking, and I couldn't let them catch you off guard. I don't want to see you get hurt."
He stood up and grabbed something from next to him, and tossed you an ice pack from a small cooler, and then a kendo stick. "Just in case," he added. "I know you never back down from a fight."
You caught the ice pack and kendo stick with a reflex honed through years of combat. Despite the situation, a small part of you acknowledged Sami's concern.
As you turned to face him, you questioned, "Why didn't you just let them get the drop on me? I just yelled at you, didn't I? It's not like you owe me anything."
Sami's expression softened, and he ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit of his. "Because even if you hurt me, I'll take the pain if it means keeping you safe. Call it whatever you want, but that's the truth."
You hesitated, the conflicting emotions resurfacing as your hand tightened around the ice pack. Sami's words echoed in your mind, and for a moment, you saw a vulnerability in him that you hadn't expected. The past rushed back, the shared history and the complicated emotions.
Your eyes landed on the TV behind you, which was showing Drew attacking Jey after Jey lost the match. Your eyes went back to Sami, and despite your brain telling you to just leave and not trust him, there was a flicker of doubt in your heart.
"Go help him." Your words made Sami freeze for a moment, surprise evident on his face. You nodded toward the TV, where Drew was beating Jey to a pulp. "Grab that other kendo stick, take out Drew, and get your reputation back."
Sami studied your expression, searching for any deception or hidden agenda. After a tense moment, he nodded, a mix of gratitude and determination in his eyes. "Thank you."
You nodded in acknowledgment, and knew if you smiled at him you would be betraying the stoic facade you worked so hard to maintain. "Don't mention it."
With that, you turned on your heel and left the room, leaving Sami to his thoughts and the impending confrontation with Drew.
God, what did you just do? You didn't have time to dwell on it, cause you saw Ronda rounding the corner, and accompanied by Shayna.
You tightened your grip on the kendo stick, focusing on the immediate threat in front of you, and when they approached, went to town on beating their asses.
Damn Sami and his kindess, was the last thought you had before the chaotic brawl consumed you. He makes it so hard to hate him.
But you would try your hardest to pretend like you did, not just to protect yourself, but also to protect him.
Over the next couple of months, Sami had been trying everything to get accepted into the Bloodline, but you remained steadfast in keeping him at a distance.
Jimmy liked Sami- he thought he was funny and charismatic. Roman wouldn't admit it, but he appreciated Sami's skills in the ring and knew Sami was growing on him. Solo, the new edition to the group who instantly clicked with you and took a liking to you and saw you as a sister- liked Sami. A lot.
Even Paul was secretly amused by Sami's persistent attempts to join the Bloodline. Despite their initial rejection, Sami had managed to secure matches against common adversaries, and his performances were impressive.
But the only people that didn't accept him were you and Jey. Everyone knew you and Sami's relationship was strained, and weren't surprised when you continued to resist his attempts to be part of the Bloodline. Jey, on the other hand, had his own reasons for holding a grudge against Sami.
He was jealous. Point blank and simple. Jey couldn't stand the idea of Sami, someone from your past, trying to weasel his way into the tight-knit circle of the Bloodline. He didn't like someone trying to get into HIS FAMILY. And he didn't like someone pushing up on HIS GIRL.
Everyone could see the chemistry between you and Sami, even if you tried to keep him at a distance. When you guys had tag matches together, it was undeniable that you two moved with a synchronicity that spoke of years of partnership.
Sami took hits for all the members of the Bloodline, but it was no secret he took the most hits for you from the women. Whenever you were backstage, Sami would be there, offering you a bottle of water or a supportive pat on the back.
Then Jey would glare at him from a distance, clenching his fists in frustration. He would tell those stupid jokes that made the rest of his family break character, and he would see you try not to laugh.
It bothered Jey to no end that Sami could make you smile, could break through your tough exterior even after everything that happened in the past. That should be him making you laugh, he thought. That should be him offering you support and being by your side.
You would reassure Jey that there was nothing between you and Sami, that it was all in the past, that you guys were friends and nothing more in the past, but Jey couldn't shake off the jealousy that gnawed at him. He knew you wouldn't try anything, but he couldn't ignore the undeniable connection between you and Sami. It fueled his resentment and made him act out in ways that even surprised himself.
It all came to a head one night during a promo where you, Roman, Jimmy, Jey, Paul, Sami and Solo were in the ring, and Roman finally decided to address the elephant in the room. The tension was palpable as Roman stared at Sami, his gaze unwavering.
"Let's address the obvious," Roman began, his voice commanding attention. "Sami, you've been persistent in trying to join the Bloodline. You've proven yourself in the ring, and some members of this family seem to have warmed up to you." Roman's eyes flickered toward Jimmy and Solo, acknowledging their sentiments. "But there are others who aren't so sure."
He turned to you, and for a moment, his stern expression softened. "Y/N, Jey, Sami, you guys are each gonna say your piece, and then we'll decide."
The spotlight shifted to you first. You licked your lips, gathering your thoughts for the impending revelation. The atmosphere in the ring was thick with anticipation as all eyes focused on you.
"Sami," you began, your voice measured but firm. "I've known you for a long time, and our history is complicated. You've made choices that hurt me, choices I can't forget. But," you paused, locking eyes with Sami, "I also can't deny the times you've had my back, especially recently."
Jey shot you a sharp look, his jaw clenched. You continued,"I won't pretend that there's no bond between us. We've been through too much together. However, my loyalty lies with Roman and the Bloodline. And if Roman think you are worthy to be a part of this family, I'll respect his decision. But," you emphasized, "if you ever betray us, Sami, you won't get a second chance."
Sami nodded, understanding the weight of your words. You could feel Jey's glare on you, and you gave him a stern look, silently conveying that you were doing what you believed was right for the family.
The spotlight shifted to Sami, who took a deep breath before speaking. "So uh, I'll start with Y/N. Look, I know your expecting me to get revenge on you, to hurt you. And I get that, I get why you've been dodging me. But I don't want to get revenge on you! I don't know how many times I need to spell it out for you before you believe me. I like you! I care for you! I want to be your best friend again! I want to be there for you like I used to be. I know our past is a bit messy, but I have never betrayed you in the ring. Yeah, I've made mistakes outside of it, but in that squared circle, I've always had your back. And I can keep having it, not just for you, but for the whole Bloodline."
Sami stepped closer to you, his eyes pleading for understanding. "Whatever doubts you might have about me, Y/N, just give me a chance to prove myself. We've been friends for over 20 years. Don't you think that means something?"
Sami moved closer to you, and Jey was seething with anger on the sidelines, his fists clenched so tight that his knuckles turned white, and turned even whiter when Sami placed a hand on your shoulder, his brown eyes boring into you and making your own eyes soften. "Don't I mean something to you?"
You stiffened at Sami's touch, the conflict within you reaching its peak. The weight of his words and the memories of your shared history tugged at your resolve. You shot a quick glance at Jey, who was practically seething with jealousy.
"Jey." Roman warned him, who looked like he was ready to pounce on Sami right then and there. Sami took a step back, removing his hand from your shoulder as the tension in the ring heightened, and turned to Jey.
"So, uh, look, I’ll be honest; I don’t understand what’s going on here. I… I like you! Man, I like you; I’ve always liked you! And we’ve always gotten along, and ever since I started hanging out with the Bloodline, I don’t know what it is, but you just… can’t seem to stand me, and I don’t understand it! Everybody- Jimmy seems fine, Solo seems fine, Y/N, well, she's got her reservations, but she's willing to give me a chance. But at least she doesn't get in my face and try to intimidate me all the time!" Sami's frustration was evident as he addressed Jey. "Thank you." Sami told Paul who patted Sami's back in a comforting manner as Jey scowled, ready to explode.
"Seriously, whatever… whatever I… whatever I did, I’m sorry. Can we just be cool? Can we just… can we bury the hatchet once and for all?”
Sami extended his hand to Jey, a gesture that surprised everyone in the ring. The tension was thick, and all eyes were on Jey as he contemplated Sami's outstretched hand.
But you knew Jey better than anyone, and you saw the storm of conflicting emotions in his eyes. Pride, jealousy, anger, and a hint of vulnerability, and knew he wouldn't be too receptive of Sami's outstretched hand.
"Sami, you got about two seconds to get your hand out my face." Jey threatened, his voice dripping with hostility. "I don't like you! Huh? I don’t like your hair, I don’t like your face, I don’t like that shirt you wear! Hey hey, I don’t like him being around my family every single week! My dawg this, my dawg that! Hey,” he moved towards Sami, who had lowered his hand and was now facing the full force of Jey's ire. "How you think you’re part of the Bloodline, if you ain’t blood?!”
Your heart dropped at Jey's harsh words, and your face betrayed a mix of frustration and sadness. Guess Jey truly thought weren't apart of the Bloodline, after all.
Jey didn't notice your face fall, as he kept ranting at Sami. "Hey hey hey! Newsflash for you, Sami: you never will be, Uce! You don’t belong here! Don’t nobody in this group like you; I’m just the realist one to say it out loud — you’re a fake ass Uce!”
Sami's face fell at Jey's words, but Jey continued. The tension in the ring reached its peak, and everyone could feel the impending explosion.
“You know what the difference between you and me is? I shed blood for every single one of my family members in here, because it’s my family! Not yours! Huh?! Would you do it? Will you?!” he questioned angrily. “I’m asking you a question! Will-”
"Jey, calm down!" You tried to interrupt, stepping forward, but Jey's rage had reached its peak. He shoved you aside gently, not even sparing you a glance, and focused all his fury on Sami.
"Answer me! I told you to answer me!-"
“Why- Why are you yelling at me, huh?!” Sami shouted, his frustration boiling over. "Why are you yelling at Y/N, huh? What did she do?" The mention of your name from Sami made Jey's rage intensify. He stepped even closer to Sami, their faces inches apart.
"Don't think you can talk about her, Uce! You don't get to mention her name, you don't get to-" Jey's voice was a low growl, his anger barely contained.
"Why can't I mention her, huh? I've known her for 20 years, Jey! Longer than you have! So I'm pretty sure I have the right to talk about her! She's my friend, she's been my friend before you even knew her, Uce!" Sami shot back, refusing to back down.
Jey's eyes narrowed, his nostrils flaring with anger. "You're not her friend! You think I'm stupid? You think I ain't see the way you look at her? How you always tryna ki ki it up with her backstage? You think I'm blind?"
Sami's jaw clenched, his frustration giving way to a more somber expression. "Yeah Jey, that's what friends do. It's not my fault if you're too blinded by your jealousy to see that."
Oh god. You knew this was not going to end well. Jey's jealousy had reached a point where it was clouding his judgment, and Sami's persistent attempts to be a part of the Bloodline had triggered an explosive confrontation.
Jey's eye twitched at the word jealousy, and he moved closer to Sami, practically nose to nose. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
"Jealous? You think I'm jealous?" Jey scoffed, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "You the one that keeps trying to weasel your way into my family, into MY LIFE. Tryna get up on MY GIRL. Now you wanna act like you ain't tryna push up on her, huh?"
Jey bellowed out, and Sami's frustration turned into a mix of shock and disbelief. Jey wasn't wrong, but Sami wasn't actively trying to get Y/N right this second. He just wanted his friend back right now.
“Your girl? Jey, we've been through this. Y/N and I are friends, nothing more. And you're delusional if you think otherwise. If you are insecure about our friendship, that's on you, not me."
Jey's face contorted with anger, and he looked like he was about to explode. "On me? Yeah, it's on me! ou don't know what it's like to be a part of this family, to shed blood, to sacrifice for each other. You don't know what it's like to protect what's yours, do you?" When Sami didn't answer, Jey snarled, "Answer me!"
“Why- Why are you yelling at me, huh?!” Sami glowered at Jey, his frustration reaching its peak. "Y/N was trying to make peace! I’m trying to make peace! The Tribal Chief says, he wants peace!”
“Man I don’t give a damn what the Tribal Chief say!”
You didn't know what was worse. Your heart that was rending apart at the sight of Jey and Sami at each other's throats or Roman's face that contorted into anger as he picked his head up at Jey's outburst. The atmosphere in the ring became unbearable as the tension escalated, and you felt a knot forming in your stomach.
"What did you say?" Roman, standing tall as the Tribal Chief, stepped forward, his eyes locked on Jey. "Nah, don't be quiet now. What did you say?"
Jey hesitated for a moment, the weight of Roman's gaze pressing down on him. He swallowed hard, realizing the gravity of his words. Roman moved closer to Jey, and it looked like he was about to deliver a reprimand that Jey wouldn't easily forget. The entire atmosphere in the ring shifted, and even Jimmy, Solo, and Paul, who were usually more laid back, became tense.
"He didn't mean what he said!" Sami surprisingly interjected, trying to defuse the situation. You blinked at Sami, you weren't expecting him to be the one to help Jey. Roman turned his piercing gaze toward Sami, his expression demanding an explanation. "Jey was just caught up in the moment. We all say things we don't mean when emotions are high." Sami clasped his hands together nervously, looking between Roman and Jey. "He was just venting his frustrations, and I get it. He just, wasn't being himself." Sami grabbed Jey's shoulder, giving him a look that silently pleaded for him to play along. "He just… wasn't feeling very ucey."
Jey, still seething with anger, shot a glare at Sami but reluctantly nodded. "Yeah, uce. I… I was just caught up in the moment. It's just…Sami's been getting on my nerves, and I let it get to me. My bad, Roman." Jey's tone was begrudgingly apologetic, but Roman's stern expression didn't waver.
Roman took a step back, his gaze shifting between Jey and Sami. "Is that what the problem is, Jey. You ain't feeling…ucey?" Roman's voice was calm, but the disappointment in his eyes was evident.
Jey shifted uncomfortably, not meeting Roman's eyes. Roman crossed his arms, the arena seeming to hold its breath at what Roman was about to say.
"You two need to work out your differences." Roman declared, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "We're family, and family doesn't break over personal issues. The two of you will have a match next week, and I expect that despite whoever wins or loses, you settle your problems in that ring. Leave it all there. If you don't, there will be consequences."
Roman's gaze lingered on both Jey and Sami before he turned to you. "Y'know what, to make sure we're all on the same page, Y/N, you're gonna be the special guest referee for that match. Keep things in order."
Your heart sank at Roman's decision. Being the special guest referee meant you would be in the middle of the chaos, responsible for maintaining order between Jey and Sami. Whoever lost would blame you for their defeat, and the tension among the Bloodline members would likely escalate.
You nodded in acknowledgment, not daring to voice your concerns. Roman's decision was final, and you had no choice but to fulfill your role as the special guest referee, even though you would be caught in the middle of 2 people you loved.
It felt like they weren't just fighting to settle their differences, they were fighting for a spot in your life.
And you didn't know who would win.
"So I'm not in the Bloodline, huh?" Jey took a second to process your words, but when he did his soft gaze he always had with you turned into a glare.
"Baby, you know I ain't meant it like that!"
"Really? Cause it sounded pretty clear to me." Your tone was sharp, hurt bubbling under the surface.
"I thought you'd get it!" Jey scoffed, his hand reaching out to touch your arm. You pulled away, not willing to let his touch soothe the hurt he had caused.
"Get what? How I'm not blood so my loyalty doesn't matter?" Your voice trembled with a mix of anger and sadness. "Do you really think that little of me, Jey?"
"No! Of course not!" Jey exclaimed, frustration evident in his expression. "It's not about that, and you know it."
"Then what is it about?" You crossed your arms, waiting for an explanation.
"It's about Sami tryna get on you, and get in this family, and everyone in this family is fooled by him. They don't see what I see. They don't see the way he's trying to play you, trying to use you to get what he wants, tryna use the family to get to the top."
You shook your head, disbelief written all over your face. "Again with Sami?" you sighed, feeling the frustration build up. "Jey, Sami, whether you like it or not, has proven to be a valuable allay, and has proven to be loyal-"
"Loyal?" Jey snorted, interrupting you. "Y/N, you're too blinded by your past with him to see what he's doing. I know him, and I know that he is just a fake ass uce."
Your frustration reached its peak. "Jey, you need to let go of your jealousy and trust my judgment. This isn't even about Sami, it's about you hurting me and you not acknowledging that. Did you know how I felt hearing you say I'm not part of the Bloodline? It hurt, Jey. I've been by your side, supporting you, and for you to dismiss me like that…"
Jey's expression softened as he took a step closer to you. "Baby, I didn't mean it like that. You are a huge part of my life, and I didn't mean to hurt you. I just… I'm trying to protect you. Sami is pushing my buttons, pushing you away from me, and I don't want him messing things up between us."
You looked at Jey, your eyes searching his for sincerity. "I get that you're protective, and I appreciate it, but you can't just dismiss my feelings. We need to communicate, Jey, or we'll keep hurting each other. And that means not jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst about Sami or anyone else."
Your words fell on deaf ears as Jey's stubbornness persisted.
"I don't care. I will communicate with you, but I don't want him around you, around us. "
You rolled your eyes, feeling the exhaustion of the ongoing conflict come back. "Oh my God, Jey. The only person pushing us apart is you. I can handle my relationships, and I can make my own decisions. If you can't trust me, then we have a bigger problem." You grabbed your bag and headed towards the exit. Jey followed you, frustration etched on his face.
"Where are you going, baby?" he called after you.
"I need some space, Jey. We both do," you replied, not bothering to turn around. The weight of the argument hung heavily in the air, and you needed time to clear your head.
Jey caught up to you, blocking your path. "You can't just walk away every time we have a disagreement."
"I'm not walking away; I'm taking a moment to breathe. We can't keep going in circles like this," you explained, your voice strained.
He reached out, grabbing your arm. "You ain't listening to me, Y/N. You're letting him get in your head."
You pulled your arm away, a mix of anger and hurt in your eyes. "Jey, this is not about Sami. This is about us and how we handle our issues. I need time, and if you can't respect that, then I don't know what else to say. You can room with Jimmy tonight, I'll find somewhere else to sleep."
Without waiting for a response, you pushed past Jey and made your way out of the building. The cool night air hit you as you stepped outside, but it did little to ease the turmoil inside you.
You sat in your car, not bothering to start the engine. The argument with Jey replayed in your mind, and the ache in your chest grew. You knew deep down that the issues between you and Jey went beyond Sami, and it was a reflection of the larger problems in your relationship.
As you sat there, lost in your thoughts, a light tap on the car window startled you. You turned to see Sami standing there, an apologetic look on his face.
"Y/N, can we talk?" Sami asked, his tone sincere. You hesitated for a moment, then nodded, opening the passenger door to let him in. Sami slid into the seat, and a heavy silence hung between you for a moment.
"Look, I don't want to add to your problems," Sami began, genuine concern in his eyes. "But I overheard your argument with Jey, and I just wanted to make sure you're okay."
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. "I appreciate the concern, Sami. It's just… it's a mess. Jey, the Bloodline, and now you… I feel like I'm caught in the middle of a storm, and I don't know how to get through it." You sarcastically chuckled and looked at Sami, who was gazing at you with concern and something else in his eyes. "I don't even know why I'm telling you any of this. It's not like you and I have been best buddies lately."
Sami leaned back in the seat, giving you a knowing look. "Sometimes it's easier to talk to someone who's a bit more removed from the situation. I get it, Y/N. And I'm not blind to the fact that I've been a source of tension."
You shook your head. "It's not just you, Sami. Jey and I have our own issues, and adding you to the mix just makes it more complicated."
"I'm not asking you to choose sides or anything," Sami said, his gaze sincere. "But if you need someone to talk to or just vent, I'm here. I've known you for a long time, and I hate seeing you like this."
You sighed, feeling a strange mix of emotions. Your phone dinged, and you saw a text from Jey that read, "Fine, I'll room with Jimmy. Do whatever you want." The message only fueled your frustration, and you set the phone aside.
"What did he say?" You quirked an eyebrow at how Sami knew it was Jey that messaged you.
"You had that look on your face," Sami replied with a small smirk. "I'm not trying to pry, but if you want to talk about it, I'm here."
You appreciated Sami's offer, even though it felt odd considering your history. The genuine concern in his eyes was hard to ignore.
At your lack of a response, Sami gently placed a hand on your shoulder and switched gears. "Who are you rooming with tonight? I'd say Jey, but considering the heated argument, I'm guessing that's not an option."
You shook your head. "Definitely not Jey. He's rooming with Jimmy."
Sami nodded understandingly. "Well, you're not alone in this. If you need a place to crash or just some company, I've got a spare room in my hotel."
You arched an eyebrow, a mix of surprise and skepticism. "You have a spare room? Why?"
Sami chuckled. "Well, I always book two rooms just in case. I like having my own space. But in situations like this, it comes in handy. Consider it an insurance policy."
The offer was unexpected, and you couldn't deny the sincerity in Sami's eyes. You considered your options, weighing the pros and cons.
Spending the night alone in your own space could provide some much-needed solitude, but at the same time, the thought of facing your own thoughts in isolation was daunting.
Jey would not be happy with you sharing a room with Sami, but it was his fault considering he didn't apologize and left you roomless. And it's not like you would do anything bad with Sami.
"Alright," you finally conceded, "I appreciate it, Sami. I could use a distraction tonight."
Sami smiled, a genuine expression that seemed to lift the heaviness in the air. "No problem. Let's switch seats, and I'll give you a lift to the hotel. We both know you can't drive angry."
You glared at Sami for his accurate assessment, but a small smile tugged at the corners of your lips. "Fine, but I'm driving back."
Sami chuckled, "Deal."
As you both switched seats, you couldn't help but wonder if Sami's offer was a genuine act of kindness or if there was something more to it. It felt like old t
imes when Sami would drive you for hours to the next city, and let you pick the worst music you knew. The familiarity of the situation brought a mix of comfort and uncertainty. As you drove through the city, Sami kept the conversation light, discussing everything from random anecdotes to shared memories.
Upon reaching the hotel, Sami insisted on accompanying you inside, stating, "I want to make sure it's a decent place. Can't have my friend staying in a dump."
The hotel lobby was adorned with dim lights, giving it a cozy ambiance. After confirming that the accommodations met Sami's standards, you headed to the room.
Sami opened the door, and you were greeted by a surprisingly spacious and well-decorated room. It seemed Sami had a knack for choosing decent places.
"Seems like your taste hasn't changed since the last time we traveled together," you remarked, half-teasingly.
Sami grinned, "Why fix something that ain't broken?"
You both chuckled, and as you settled into the room, there was a moment of awkward silence. The weight of unspoken words lingered in the air. Sami broke the silence, "Look, I know things have been weird between us, but I miss this, you know? Just hanging out, like old times."
You bit your lip, your nerves in overdrive. Do you admit that you missed it too, or do you keep your guard up? Sami's sincerity was evident, but there was still a layer of uncertainty. Taking a deep breath, you decided to be honest.
"Yeah, I miss it too," you admitted, meeting Sami's gaze. "It's been a while since we've just... hung out."
Sami's smile widened, and it seemed like a weight had been lifted off both your shoulders. "Good to hear." Sami sensed that there was more to be said, but for now, he opted to let the conversation flow naturally. "Do you wanna order some food? I'm starving, and room service here is usually pretty good."
You nodded in agreement, appreciating the diversion from the emotional tension. As Sami picked up the room service menu, you couldn't help but reflect on the unexpected turn of events. The night had started with frustration and anger, and now you found yourself in a hotel room with Sami, rediscovering the ease of your friendship.
"Do you mind if I shower? I feel like I've been on the road forever," you said, breaking your thoughts.
Sami shook his head, "No problem. Take your time. I'll order something for us in the meantime."
After a refreshing shower, you emerged from the bathroom to find the aroma of food wafting through the room. Sami had ordered an array of dishes, and the sight of it made your stomach growl.
"Hope you like a bit of everything," Sami grinned, handing you a plate. His eyes widened at the sight of you in a hoodie and pajama shorts that left little to the imagination. He choked on his food, and you quickly went to him and slapped his back to help him. Sami coughed a few times, still recovering from the surprise.
"Are you okay?" you asked, genuinely concerned.
Sami nodded, his eyes wide, "Yeah, just... you caught me off guard." You raised your eyebrow at the very poor excuse but he continued, "I wasn't expecting you to look... like that."
You rolled your eyes, "Well, I didn't pack an evening gown for an unexpected hotel stay. This is what you get."
Sami cleared his throat , attempting to regain composure. "No complaints here, just wasn't prepared for a fashion show tonight."
You both laughed, breaking the tension further. As you sat down to eat, the atmosphere shifted from the earlier heaviness to a more relaxed and familiar one. It was as if time had rolled back, and you were once again sharing a meal on the road.
The conversation flowed effortlessly, moving from reminiscing about the past to discussing recent events in each other's lives. The more you talked, the more you realized how much you had missed these interactions with Sami. The ease with which he could make you smile, the shared jokes, and the understanding that seemed to transcend words. Your guard was still up, but it was slowly starting to crumble in the face of the genuine connection you and Sami once shared. As the night progressed, you found yourselves engrossed in conversations about everything and nothing.
After finishing the meal, Sami suggested that you both watch a movie to unwind. You agreed, and Sami scrolled through the available options on the hotel's TV. Eventually, you settled on a classic film that held sentimental value for both of you. You both sat on the comfortable hotel bed, the soft glow of the screen illuminating the room. The movie brought back memories, and you couldn't help but smile at the shared nostalgia.
As the movie played, Sami shifted closer, and there was a subtle warmth in the air. The initial tension that hung between you two seemed to dissipate with each passing moment. It felt like a step back in time, a familiar comfort settling in.
In the midst of the movie, Sami spoke up, "Remember when we used to argue about who got control of the remote?"
You chuckled, "Yeah, and you always managed to win somehow."
Sami grinned, "Well, it's a skill. Takes years of practice." He gave you a smile that made your heart flutter, a mix of playfulness and genuine warmth. The movie continued, but your attention was now divided between the film and the unspoken connection resurfacing between you and Sami.
As the night wore on, the initial awkwardness transformed into a shared comfort that felt almost effortless. You found yourselves laughing at inside jokes, finishing each other's sentences, and reveling in the familiarity that had defined your friendship. The room, once filled with unspoken tension, now resonated with a renewed sense of camaraderie.
Eventually, the movie ended, and you both sat in a comfortable silence. Sami broke the quietude, "You know, I've missed this, just hanging out and being ourselves."
You nodded in agreement, "Me too. It's been too long."
Sami's gaze softened, "I know things have changed, and we've both moved on, but there's something about tonight that feels like a glimpse of what we used to have."
You took a moment to absorb his words. There was truth in them, a shared acknowledgment of the evolving nature of your relationship. The night held a unique magic, a bridge between the past and the present.
"I agree," you replied, "Tonight has been unexpected, but in a good way."
Sami smiled, "I'm glad you agreed to stay. I was worried you'd say no."
You chuckled, "Well, you do have a way of being convincing."
Sami's expression turned more serious, "Look, I know things have changed between us, and I don't want to overstep any boundaries. I just... I miss having you around, as a friend. If this is too much or if it makes you uncomfortable, just let me know, and I'll understand."
You appreciated Sami's honesty, and the sincerity in his eyes was undeniable. The air was thick with unspoken emotions, and you found yourself grappling with your own conflicting feelings. Admitting that you missed Sami's company was one thing, but acknowledging the complexity of your history was another. And you had to wrestle away the thoughts when his arm wrapped around your shoulders, pulling you into a gentle embrace. It was a gesture that felt both familiar and foreign, stirring a cascade of emotions.
For a moment, you hesitated, feeling the warmth of Sami's embrace contrasting with the cool uncertainty within. It was a delicate balance between the past and the present, and you weren't sure where the boundaries lay. But as you looked into Sami's eyes, you saw not just the history you shared but a genuine desire to reconnect.
You leaned into the embrace, allowing yourself to be enveloped by the comforting familiarity of Sami's presence. The unspoken words hung in the air, the weight of past grievances mingling with the hope of a rekindled friendship.
"I missed this," Sami whispered, his voice barely audible above the subtle hum of the hotel room.
"Me too," you replied, a quiet admission that echoed the sentiments of the night.
In that moment, surrounded by the remnants of shared laughter and the glow of the TV, it felt like a small step towards rebuilding what had once been lost. The complexities of your relationship lingered, but for now, you chose to focus on the shared warmth and the simplicity of being in each other's company.
"Do you remember the last time we roomed together?" Sami's hot breath tickled your ear as he spoke, the shared memories flooding back. You couldn't help but smile, recalling the countless adventures and misadventures you both had experienced on the road.
"Yeah, how could I forget?" you chuckled, "That one motel with the neon sign that kept flickering, and the weird noises all night?"
Sami laughed, "Or the time we got lost in that small town, and the only person we could find to ask for directions didn't speak a word of English."
The nostalgia washed over you, and it felt like a bittersweet journey down memory lane. The distance and time apart seemed to fade away, leaving only the echoes of a friendship that had weathered its storms.
"Or that time there was only one bed and we had to share." Sami's voice lowered, and you involuntary shivered at the tone of his voice. It was low and sensual, a stark contrast to the lighthearted reminiscing. The room suddenly felt charged with a different kind of tension.
"Sami..." Your voice creeped up like a warning, but Sami ignored the subtle shift in the atmosphere. His gaze locked with yours, an intensity that left you breathless.
"I always wondered what would have happened if we recreated that night again." He admitted, his fingers tracing idle patterns on your arm. The air crackled with unspoken desire, and the weight of the past collided with the magnetic pull of the present.
You swallowed hard, torn between the history you shared and the uncertain territory ahead. The lines between friendship and something more blurred in the dimly lit hotel room. The pull of attraction simmered beneath the surface, a palpable energy that refused to be ignored.
"Sami..." You warned him again, but this time your voice held a mix of uncertainty and caution.
Sami's gaze softened, and he withdrew his hand, respecting the unspoken boundaries. "I'm sorry," he said, his tone sincere. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I just... I've been thinking a lot about us, about what we had and what we lost."
You took a deep breath, trying to navigate the complexities of the moment. The room felt charged with a different kind of tension now, a lingering question hanging in the air.
"I appreciate your honesty," you replied, your voice steady. "But we can't ignore the history between us, Sami. Things changed, and we both moved on."
Sami nodded, a solemn expression on his face. "I know. I just couldn't help but wonder... what if? What if we had taken a different path?"
The weight of the unspoken "what ifs" settled in the room, creating a palpable silence. It was a question that lingered in the space between you, a testament to the complexity of your shared history.
"I think it's natural to wonder," you admitted, "but we can't change the past. We can only move forward."
"What if I What if I told you that I still have feelings for you?" Sami's voice hung in the air, heavy with vulnerability. The admission echoed through the room, challenging the carefully constructed boundaries that had defined your relationship.
You felt a mixture of surprise and a subtle acknowledgment that maybe the lingering tension wasn't one-sided. Sami's gaze searched your eyes for a response, the intensity mirroring the unspoken emotions that danced between you.
The weight of his words settled on your shoulders, and you took a moment to gather your thoughts. The honesty in Sami's admission deserved a genuine response, but the complexities of your history made it a challenging decision.
"I...," you began, but the words caught in your throat. You met Sami's gaze, seeing a vulnerability that matched your own. "Sami, we had something special, but we also had our fair share of challenges. I can't deny the connection we shared, but a lot has changed."
Sami nodded, understanding etched on his face. "I get it. I just needed you to know how I feel."
You sighed, the weight of the moment heavy on your shoulders. "I appreciate your honesty, Sami. It's just... complicated."
He gave you a small, understanding smile. "Yeah, it always has been with us, hasn't it?"
The air hung with unresolved tension, a silent acknowledgment of the unspoken feelings that lingered in the room. The night had taken an unexpected turn, weaving through the threads of nostalgia, friendship, and the potential for something more.
"If it was me instead of Kevin that you had to hurt to prove your loyalty to, would you have done it?" Sami's question cut through the atmosphere, introducing a new layer of complexity to the already intricate dynamics between you two.
The weight of the question hung in the air, and you could sense the sincerity in Sami's eyes. It was a direct challenge to the choices you had made, and it demanded an honest response.
The room seemed to tighten, and you tried to distract yourself with the remnants of the meal on the table, avoiding eye contact momentarily. Sami grabbed your shoulders gently, urging you to meet his gaze.
You took a deep breath, grappling with the intensity of Sami's question. The honesty in his eyes demanded a genuine response, and you couldn't evade the weight of the inquiry.
"I don't know, Sami," you admitted, your voice tinged with uncertainty. "It's a hypothetical scenario, and emotions are complicated. I can't say for sure how I would have reacted in that situation."
Sami's expression tightened, a mix of disappointment and understanding in his eyes. He knew you better than you knew yourself, and knew you were lying.
"Y/N..." He grabbed your hands and interjected with a sincerity that left no room for evasion. "You can't tell me you didn't have a choice in that moment. I know you, and I know you well enough to know that loyalty matters to you. If it was me, would you have chosen to hurt me to prove your loyalty to Kevin?"
The room seemed to shrink, the weight of Sami's gaze intensifying. You felt a knot tighten in your stomach, torn between acknowledging the truth and shielding yourself from the raw vulnerability of the moment.
"Sami, I..." Your voice wavered, the internal struggle reflecting in your eyes. The truth lingered on the tip of your tongue, a confession that could alter the course of the night and the delicate balance you were trying to maintain.
Sami's grip on your hands tightened, a silent plea for honesty. The unspoken tension hung between you two, an unresolved question that demanded a response. He intertwined his fingers with yours, grounding you in the intensity of the moment.
"I need to know, Y/N," Sami urged, his eyes searching yours for a glimpse of the truth. "Would you have hurt me to prove your loyalty?"
The room was silent, the weight of the question settling over you like a heavy shroud. You took a moment to gather your thoughts, feeling the vulnerability of the truth clawing at the edges of your consciousness.
"No." You breathed a sigh, the admission hanging in the air. "No, Sami. I wouldn't have hurt you to prove my loyalty to anyone. It was a difficult situation, and I made a choice. But hurting you would something I couldn't live with."
Sami's eyes softened, and you could sense a mix of relief and gratitude in his gaze. The truth, though heavy, seemed to have lifted a burden between you. He moved closer to you, your faces mere inches apart, the shared vulnerability creating a palpable connection. The unspoken emotions lingered, and for a moment, it felt like the weight of the past had been lifted.
"Thank you for being honest," Sami whispered, his breath mingling with yours. His thumb gently brushed against the back of your hand, a subtle reassurance.
You nodded, the air thick with a newfound understanding. The complexities of your shared history remained, but the honesty in that moment had carved a path towards reconciliation.
"I've missed this," Sami admitted, his eyes searching yours. "Missed these talks, these late nights with you." Sami's eyes dropped to you lips, his gaze intense and filled with a mixture of emotions. The unspoken tension crackled in the air, and you found yourself caught between the familiarity of the past and the uncertainty of the present.
"Sami," you whispered, your voice barely audible. The room seemed to hold its breath, the weight of the unspoken hovering between you. Sami's thumb continued to trace idle patterns on the back of your hand, the touch sending shivers down your spine.
Then his lips were on yours, and for a moment, it felt like time stood still, unmoving, like you.
Then your brain starting working again.
"Sami!" You pushed him gently away, surprise and confusion written across your face. Sami's eyes widened, the realization of what he had done sinking in.
"I... I'm sorry," Sami stammered, a mix of embarrassment and regret in his expression. "I didn't mean to... I just... I thought..."
You held up a hand, stopping his explanations. "Sami, if you wanted to get back at Jey, you didnt' have to involve me in it."
Sami looked taken aback by your accusation. "No, it's not like that. I wouldn't do that to you. I... I got carried away. I didn't mean to use you as some kind of revenge."
You sighed, the weight of the situation settling on your shoulders. You couldn't deny that there was still a lingering attraction between you and Sami, but the context of the situation made everything more complicated. The boundaries were blurred, and it was evident that emotions were running high. You were with Jey. You loved him, and getting involved in a messy situation with Sami was the last thing you needed.
"Sami, we can't go down this path," you said firmly, trying to convey the seriousness of the situation. "I appreciate our friendship and the nostalgia, but it's not fair to Jey, and it's not fair to us."
Sami nodded, remorse etched on his face. "You're right. I messed up, and I'm sorry. I should have respected the boundaries."
You took a deep breath, attempting to diffuse the tension in the room. "Let's just call it a night. I'll sleep in my room. Have a nice day tomorrow, and we can talk about this when things are calmer."
Sami nodded again, a mix of regret and understanding in his eyes. "I understand. I never meant to complicate things."
As you gathered your things and headed towards the door, the air was thick with unresolved emotions. Before you could leave, Sami spoke up, "Please don't tell JJey about this. Jey already hates me, and I messed up, and I don't want to cause more problems for you."
You paused, considering Sami's request. It wasn't fair to keep secrets, especially in a relationship, but you also understood the potential consequences of revealing what had transpired. Jey would be hurt, and it might escalate the tension between him and Sami. On the other hand, honesty was crucial in a relationship.
"I can't promise that, Sami," you replied honestly. You believed in being truthful with Jey, and keeping something like this from him would only make things worse if he finds out later.
Sami nodded, acknowledging the difficult situation. "I get it. Just... take care of things on your end. I don't want to make your life more complicated."
"I will. Take care, Sami." You bid him goodnight once more before leaving Sami's room and closing the door behind you.
As you walked back to your own room, a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts raced through your mind.
God, this is why you didn't want Sami to join the Bloodline in the first place. The tangled mess of emotions and history between you two had resurfaced, and now you were left grappling with the aftermath of an unexpected, charged moment.
"Y/N." Solo's voice made you jump in the hallway. He was leaning against the wall, a knowing expression on his face.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Solo held his hands up in a placating gesture. "Just wanted to check if everything's alright. Jey was worried when he saw you actually didn't come to the room."
You rolled your eyes, "Well, you can tell Jey I'm fine. Just needed some space."
Solo raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "You good? You acting kinda spacey."
You sighed, your face betraying the internal turmoil. "It's just been a weird night, Solo. And all I wanna do is sleep it off."
Solo tilted his head, his eyes narrowing in concern. "Do you want to talk about it? I know I'm not the best with emotions, but I'm here if you need someone to listen."
You appreciated Solo's offer, knowing that despite his tough exterior, he genuinely cared about the well-being of those close to him. However, the complexity of the situation made it difficult to put everything into words.
"Thanks, Solo. I might need some time to process everything. Let Jey know I'll talk to him about it tomorrow. I just need a bit of space for now."
Solo nodded, understanding the need for space. "Sure thing." You turned to go into the room, but Solo grabbed your arm and pulled you into a brief, supportive hug. It was rare that he showed such a side of him, but it felt comforting yet so guilty in that moment.
"Take care of yourself, Y/N. If you need anything, just let us know," Solo said, releasing you from the hug.
"Thanks, Solo," you replied, managing a small but guilty smile. With that, you entered your room, the events of the night echoing in your mind.
Sleep felt elusive, and the weight of the unresolved emotions lingered, making it a long night of introspection and contemplation. You texted Jey that you were fine, got into the covers, and closed your eyes. The events of the night replayed in your mind like a never-ending loop. The mix of nostalgia, tension, and unexpected intimacy left you grappling with conflicting emotions.
Would you tell Jey, the week before his match against Sami, when you knew when he got mad he would lose matches, or would you keep it to yourself, avoiding potential complications and protecting Jey's focus for the upcoming match?
Only time would tell.

There was also a throwing my phone in there and lots of talk of never coming back from this and this is it for me, this is the end. Think I've been a ghost since last night actually.
bouncer!steve x fem!reader steve’s night.
🎵 I finally found someone that can make me laugh, hahaha you so crazy, I think I wanna have your baby.🎵
summary: You’ve got a crush on the new bouncer at The Foxy Lounge. Turns out he’s not very good at his job.
word count: 13.6k
warnings: 18 + 90’s AU// Steve is in his early 30’s, Your date gets drunk and says some night nice things, some mild violence (bar fights), possessive steve, fingering, smut (p in v) cream pie, ass eating (f! receiving), oral (f! receiving), dirty talk.
authors note: It’s finally here! Part two of Whatta man! Steve’s night. You don’t have to read Eddie’s Night to read this one, I just think it’s more fun if you do 😉 There’s LOTS of bartender!eddie in this fic if you miss him though. (he’s your bff) This part has been a long time coming (since march lol) and I’m so happy to finally share this with you. Thank you to all of my friends who have had to listen to me talk about this for months and all of you guys who have sent me asks about our favorite boys at the foxy lounge! I wouldn’t of been able to do this with out your endless support, and excitement for this little world. Thank you, ily forever 💗
The perks of moving into the apartment that presides above The Foxy Lounge were vast for a single girl like yourself, but the perks of becoming friends with the bartender that worked there seemed to make them endless.
Memorized orders and free drinks when he was feeling nice (which he almost always was), he wore the crown of wingman of the century with pride, Eddie always made sure you had a good time. It was days like today that were your favorite though, heading home from a shitty morning shift at work, you weren’t surprised when you tugged on the front door an hour before open and it wasn’t locked. The annoyed look on his face told you he wasn’t either. An irritated groan leaves his chest at the carelessness of the owner and your landlord before popping the caps off two beers with ease. The loud clink of metal to glass echoes in the empty bar, as he flips his bottle opener between his fingers like muscle memory stuffing it in his back pocket.
“He’s gonna get us robbed one day, and I’m just gonna take my favorite bottle for damages and let them have the rest at this point.” His smile shows the lack of truth behind his words when you sit in the stool in front of him.
“Lucky for the both of you, it’s always just me.” Winking when you take a swig, the bitter liquid and the company eases the bad day out of your bones almost instantly.
The beginnings of a relaxed sigh start to push past your lips when the jarring sound of his rings slapping against the wood of the bar to the tune of a drum roll has you tense right back up. You’re unable to stop the slam of your beer before deadpanning, “you know I hate when you do that-“
“My best buddy Steve starts tomorrow night, I finally got Rick to say yes.” Eddie’s excitement has him vibrating when he cuts you off to tell you the news of the latest Foxy Lounge employee. “You’re gonna have such a crush on him. I’m calling it now.” The smirk on his face and the arch of his brow dare you to challenge him as he leans forward into your space.
Rolling your eyes with a snort, you start picking at the white sticker wrapped around the bottle.
“As if you know my type, Munson.” You can’t control the twitch of your lips the second the words leave your mouth when you finally dare to meet his amused gaze.
Eddie knew your type better than anyone else. Watching the men and sometimes women you’d bring upstairs weekend after weekend. He had you pegged and the Cheshire smile on his face told you he knew it too.
“I can hear it now.” He changes the pitch of his voice so it sounds like a bad version of yours before he continues with an exaggerated batting of his lashes, “Oh Eddie, Steve is just so dreamy. Do you think he thinks I’m cute? Will you talk to him? Come on Eddie!”
“I do NOT talk like that, asshole!” Launching a handful of bar nuts at him, he raises his hands in mock surrender shaking out the few that got stuck in his hair with a booming laugh.
“I don’t think that's a nice way to treat the guy who not only didn’t kick you out but also gave you a free beer before we opened, sweetheart.” His dimpled grin and perfect smile almost has your stomach in butterflies.
“I basically live here, besides your boss is the one who left the door unlocked. Maybe it’s a good thing you’re upping your security around here,” you tease, gulping down the rest of the beer before sliding the empty bottle over.
“We’ll see about this Steve guy you won’t shut up about, who knows Eddie, maybe it’s you who’s got a crush.”
Sweeping up the mess you made behind his bar he smirks before wiggling his brows.
“Everyone’s got a crush on Steve, baby.”
The pink fluorescent lights of the Foxy Lounge sign that hangs outside your window paints your studio in a blush tinted glow. It bleeds through the sheer floor length curtains, softening its harshness in a way that you liked. The darkness outside always makes it shine brightest around this time, a constant fight with your overhead lamp before bed. Your eyes catch the glaring red numbers on your clear digital clock reading 8:45pm.
Shit. You’re late.
No Doubt’s I’m Just A Girl plays loud enough through your boom box speakers to drown out the murmurs of the bar downstairs that spill through the slight crack in your bedroom window. You finish the last touch ups to the bubble gum colored gloss that coats your lips, smacking them together loudly. You give yourself a sweet smile in the mirror before fluttering your lashes for good measure. The finishing touch.
Finally feeling ready enough to leave, you adjust the black velvet choker around your neck with lavender painted nails. They highlight the lime green tube top that wraps around your chest as you pull at your black maxi skirt that sits above your hips hugging your curves just right.
You give yourself one last once over while you slip on your clunky Steve Madden slides, telling yourself the whole time you didn’t get all done up for the new bouncer. Instead you tell yourself it’s because you want to get lucky with the guy that invited you to get last minute drinks conveniently at the bar you above.
Turning around to give your studio apartment the safety check, you shuffle over your baby blue carpet with loud clacks from your sandals to hurriedly straighten your pink comforter and snuff out your incense. Grabbing your bag, you rush out with a flip of the light switch, only getting two steps away before having to pop back in to grab your keys hanging by the door.
The platforms on your slides are heavy as you make your way down the staircase, the narrow hallway bouncing your steps off the walls despite the cushion of the ugly brown carpet. One hand on the banister and the other dragging along the wall for balance, you pick up your pace barreling towards the door. Pushing it open with more force than normal, you hit something on the other side, hard.
An oof and the sound of plastic skidding across the sidewalk is followed by the crash of a stool that must’ve belonged to whoever was sitting on it. Stepping onto the pavement with a clack from your sandals, you stop in your tracks when you see his broad shoulders first. Bent over, you watch him collect what looks like an orange Tamagotchi, stuffing it quickly in his back pocket before brushing the dust off his dark denim clad thighs. The way he fills his jeans has your mouth dry up and his muscles flex under the black cotton shirt that wraps tight around his torso, the seams barely containing what’s underneath. Turning around he runs a big hand through his honey colored locks that stop just below his ears, pushing the fly aways from his face while the shine of the street lamp highlights his cheekbones and sharp jaw.
God you hated when Eddie was right.
Hazel eyes rake over your form while yours follow the freckles that run along his neck that lead to small moles placed like a cluster of stars along his jaw. His chiseled nose runs down a narrow line with lips tinged pink like his cheeks. The expression on his face going from irritated to flirty in a matter of seconds flat, the whites of his teeth showing when he gives you an easy smile.
“I’m - oh my god, I’m so sorry. I’m running late and no one is ever sitting there and I - Are you okay?” Talking a mile a minute, you hate that he has your nerves getting the best of you.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa.” Raising his hands up to stop you, the press of your thighs is instant when you see the silver band wrapped around the thickness of his middle finger. “No apologies necessary, it was an accident, honey.”
The endearment leaves his mouth while his lips turn his smile crooked, and it makes you dizzy. Bending down to grab the stool off the ground, a matching chain slips out from under his shirt and the glow above gives you a glimpse at the patch of thick chest hair hidden from sight.
“Besides, it’s not the first time a pretty girl has knocked me on my ass.” Folding his arms across his pecs, he leans against the brick of the bar crossing his legs at the ankles. The black boots that cover his feet look big and menacing despite his disposition.
Biting your bottom lip into a smile, you look up at him through shy lashes and you swear you hear him sigh at the sight.
“Well as long as you’re okay-“
“Steve,” he offers his name with a flash of his teeth again, a spark lighting in his eyes when he sees the way you react to it.
“Well you’ll probably see my face around here a lot,” you say, doing your best to ignore the way your cheeks burn.
“I sure hope so.” Pulling a toothpick out of his back pocket, he slides it between his lips. Jaw clenching when he bites down on the wood while his eyes roam your curves again before offering you another grin.
It makes you do one thing a man has never made you genuinely do. You giggle. Tucking your hair behind your ear, you hardly recognize yourself anymore.
“I was gonna say, 'cause I live upstairs.” Your voice is sweet despite the roll of your eyes, his jaw clenches against the wood. He liked that.
He only breaks his stare to follow the path of your finger, his eyes lingering on your open window for a second before bringing all his attention back on you. The tension grows even thicker when he kicks off the wall, realization hitting him. The soles of his boots are loud against the pavement when he closes the distance between you with two long strides. Getting close enough to smell the cinnamon on his breath, and the expensive cologne that lingers on his bronzed skin, you forget all about your date waiting for you inside.
“Eddie’s told me all about you.” Using the tip of his tongue, he pushes the toothpick to the other side of his mouth, his smirk telling you all you need to know.
“That’s funny, Eddie’s told me about you too,” you lick your lips, tasting the fruit of your gloss as you look up at him from under hooded shimmering lids, “Steve.”
He inches just a little closer to teeter on the edge of what’s appropriate before responding, “Oh yeah? Did you like what you heard baby?”
His smile is as sinful as it is blinding. A darkened gaze locked on yours as he pulls the tooth pick out his mouth letting the sharp end snag his bottom lip before stuffing it in his back pocket again.
The electricity in the air sparks and fizzes, standing close enough to see the freckles that line his nose and the specks of glitter smattered in a similar pattern on your cheeks.
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” Raising an eyebrow, your response has him sucking his teeth before rolling his tongue against the inside of his cheek accepting your answer with a nod of his head.
Pulling out a small red flashlight with a soft click of the button at the end, white light floods the dark. The beam roams over the expanse of your body with a purposeful path before stopping at his outstretched hand.
“I.D.?” Amusement evident in his voice, he wiggles his fingers at you keeping up with his charade. The motion daring to make a mess of your underwear.
You try to cover up your laugh with a fake scoff, making it come out loud enough for him to snort. Your lips twitch as you try to fight the losing battle with the smile threatening to break across your face.
“What? I need to be careful here sweetheart. It’s my first night, I gotta make sure you’re really who you say you are, and not just some pretty girl trying to flirt her way inside.” He keeps the perfect poker face while he tuts at you to hurry up for the invisible line behind you.
“Would it have worked?” you ask handing him your driver’s license, wincing internally at the picture he is about to see.
Brushing his fingers against yours when he takes it for closer examination, he huffs out a laugh before looking down at you with a smug grin.
“Wouldn’t you like to know.” He winks like an expert before making a big show of bringing your ID close to his face like it might be a fake.
Tsking to himself as he reads it over, he peeks over at you with a sly smirk. “A whole year older than me. Good for you, I like older women.”
Closing the space that developed when you had to dig in your purse, you snatch the plastic out of his hand, relishing in the way his breath hitches because of it. “I’m shocked you can read Steve, Eddie’s taste can be a bit…shoddy.”
“I think I’m pretty good at it actually, I’m good at reading a lot of things.” Ignoring your jab he’s quick to regain his confidence. “Things like, I don’t know, body language.” The spice of the cinnamon returns when he pulls out his toothpick again. He flashes you his pearly whites when he bites down, keeping his eyes locked on yours, a silent dare to prove him wrong.
Like magnets finding each other, the toes of his boots brush against your sandals. When did he get this close again?
Mariah Carey’s Fantasy cuts off any witty response that sits on the tip of your tongue as the bar door creaks open, rudely snapping you both back to reality. A boy who looks barely above the legal age is the culprit for popping your bubble, stopping dead in his tracks when the flirting bouncer’s attention redirects itself to where it should be. You already miss it.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up, punk.” Grabbing the kid by the collar of his shirt, he mutters a ‘shit’ under his breath.
You take a step back, your eyes meeting Eddie's from inside, the commotion catching his and a few other patrons' stares, including your date.
Oh yeah, you had a date.
“I’m gonna need to see some I.D.” Steve’s voice drops deeper after he clears his throat, if his tamagotchi didn’t beep right after, signaling it’s need to be fed it would’ve been more intimidating. Your own digital pet buried at the bottom of your bag probably doing the same, already reborn fresh this morning from forgetting it at home while at work the night before.
“Umm, you see, I left my wallet at home,” the kid starts to stammer, the metal of his braces showing when he gives the bouncer a nervous grin.
Almost forgetting he had an audience, Steve’s eyes meet yours, softening before that million dollar smile takes over his handsome face.
“You’re free to go in. You know where to come when you wanna talk about all those things you liked hearing about me.”
Your stomach flutters despite the roll of your eyes at his words and you're reminded crossing the threshold that you’re here to meet another man, already scolding yourself for not taking Eddie’s warning seriously.
“I bet you’d like that wouldn’t you, Steve?” You linger in the door frame, looking at him from over your shoulder, and it makes the corners of his eyes crinkle.
“You already know the answer to that, gorgeous.” His toothpick switches sides again before finally going back to doing his job, tugging the kid closer.
“I.D. or no entry dick head.”
Despite there being no line outside, the bar was pretty full. The low buzz of conversation before the drinks really start to hit filling the crowded space. Mariah finishes her last high note when your eyes connect with Eddie’s before meeting Devin’s. He’s dressed like Danny Tanner and it makes you cringe. Pushing up his wire frame glasses, he waves so eagerly the Salmon’s that cover his dress shirt look like they're swimming in the background rapids with the movements of his arm. He’s completely oblivious to Eddie mocking him behind his back, mouthing ‘DORK’ with a shit eating grin before finally attending to the girl with smeared makeup that had been desperately trying to get his attention from the other end of the bar.
You take a deep breath, readjusting the strap of your bag before you push your chin up making your way over. Determined to have a good time, you put on your best face, returning his wave with forced enthusiasm while Steve’s smile etches itself into your memory permanently.
Paula Abdul’s Vibeology starts pumping through the speakers around you, the sticky floor vibrating with the bass under your sandals as you sway your hips to the beat. He stands up when you approach his spot at the bar and you notice his button up is tucked into mustard colored corduroy slacks, and it makes you miss the tight fitting denim of the man outside even more. Shaking your head to try and get rid of all the thoughts swirling in your head about the guy you weren’t on a date with, you desperately try to match Devin’s excited energy when he opens his arms for a hug.
“I was starting to get worried you were standing me up.” He laughs nervously as you tuck yourself into his chest. Your eyes peek over his shoulder meeting Eddie’s again as he slides your favorite drink over (tequila and pineapple), and god you wish you hadn’t.
Wiggling his eyebrows, you flip him the bird behind Devin’s back watching the bartender pretend to catch it and put it in his pocket making your eyes hit the back of your skull.
“No, sorry, I just lost track of the time.” Not a total lie you leave out the fact that you forgot about him completely just a few minutes ago. Pulling away, you avoid his eyes, too scared they’ll give you away.
“All is forgiven, pretty lady.” He bows slightly, and you have to ignore the way Eddie snorts as he walks past with hands full of Miller Lite.
“You’re so sweet,” cringing at how fake your voice comes out but Devin doesn’t seem to notice as you both take your seats, knees barely touching between the space of the stools.
“Thanks for agreeing to drinks tonight, I’ve been wanting to ask you out for a while now. Just didn’t know, w-with office etiquette a-and all,” stuttering, his nerves get the best of him. He tries to hide it behind a sip of his beer.
“No, I’m, I’m glad you did,”you lie, your eyes flicking to the door one more time before grabbing your drink. An awkward silence settles between the two of you as you press your lips to the rim to slurp at the top to prevent any spill over.
God, you already want this to be over.
The conversation does get easier after your first drink, the flirting a little less forced as your hand finds its way to squeeze his thigh when you laugh at something he says that’s only half funny. Choking on the foam from his beer from your sudden touch, he wipes his mouth bashful from his outburst. Eddie murmurs a “go easy on him tiger” when he gets you a refill, earning him your bratty tongue.
“So you transferred here last year from Portland, right Devin? What’s it like over there?” Resting your chin on your knuckles, you look up at him from under your lashes enjoying the way it makes his breath catch.
“It was- It was a lot different from here…”
Finally on your A game, you try not to pay attention when the front door opens behind your date. It’s to no avail when you catch his figure in your peripheral and you can’t fight it anymore. All the progress you’ve made going out the window when Steve makes his first reappearance since your arrival.
Toothpick replaced with what looked like Big Red chewing gum, his hazel eyes scan the crowd before landing on you. The smirk that you’d been trying to forget tugs at the corners of his lips, and any luck that Devin might have had with you tonight disappears like that.
The bouncer looks pointedly at the man beside you, sizing him up, smile stretching wider when he assesses his threat. Leaning against the wall, he crosses his arms across his chest so the sleeves of his shirt look like they are being pushed to their limits as the muscles in his biceps flex. Hips pushed out in a way that’s daring you to look below his waist, he throws you a wink with a snap of his gum.
“...So yeah, that’s the long and short , it,” Devin finishes with a proud smile and you just nod, not catching a single word he said.
Steve’s stare is relentless, and your body responds to it without you having to even meet his gaze. His tongue swipes across his bottom lip, jaw clenching with every hard chew of his gum. Pushing himself off the wall, he starts a slow walk towards you. Big heavy steps bring him closer, every thud of his boots making your thighs clench, as you try desperately to stay concentrated.
Your date’s in the middle of another story that sounds like white noise, your lack of attention making him a babbling mess. He doesn’t notice the way Steve stops next to him first, giving him a once over from up close to make sure he wasn’t missing something from afar before coming up to you with the kind of smile that’s dripping with trouble.
“....So the logistics of it are kinda crazy when you think-“
“Just checking on my pretty new friend over here,” Steve cuts Devin off, not interested in anything but you. His large hand finds the small of your back, his palm almost big enough to cover the exposed skin between your skirt and top. It sends a shiver up your spine that the pad of his thumb soothes when it rubs circles over your sprouting goosebumps. “Having a good night, baby?”
The pet name falls so smoothly off his tongue that it takes Devin a minute to realize that it even left Steve’s mouth, a scowl souring his face when he sees the way your eyes glaze over looking up at the bouncer.
“Yeah, I’m having a real nice time Steve.” Sucking your bottom lip between your teeth, he notices the subtle way you lean into his touch. Your body needy for more.
“You better be.” He winks, letting the blunt ends of his nails scratch along your back before adding salt to Devin’s wound, “And you know where to find me if that changes.”
There’s a knowing smirk that plays on the edges of his mouth, biting his lip he finally tears his eyes away from you to give a head nod to the date you’d forgotten about for the second time tonight. Steve tosses him a wink too, a gesture that makes Devin’s jaw clench. Steve opens his mouth to say something that was sure to piss him off more, but he’s cut off by the sound of Eddie’s rings slamming hard on the bar behind you.
“Dude! What the fuck are you doing inside? Do you know how many people have walked in without getting checked? It's PEAK hours!” The bartender's eyes are frantic, fingers running through his curls as he yells at his friend. “Quit flirting and go do your job. Also, is that a fucking kid man?”
Eddie points to the boy that the bouncer stopped earlier who was snooping around abandoned tables in search for leftovers he was definitely not of legal age for, Steve’s cheeks tint the color of your lipgloss when he looks at you with sheepish eyes. The confidence he was dripping with disappears into embarrassment while doing his best to ignore the smug look on your date’s face.
“Calm down man, it was three minutes! I’ll get rid of the fuckin’ kid. Again.” He rubs the back of his neck as he walks away, stalking towards the boy who looks like he’s seen a ghost. “Hey asshole! You must’ve grown eight years in twenty minutes for me to be seeing you here!”
The boy raises his hands up in surrender slowly backing away, giving Steve an opportunity to turn around to toss you one last smile and wiggle his fingers at Devin before focusing on the high schooler who is already halfway out the door. The kid's walk turns into a run when Steve cracks his knuckles for show, following him out with long strides, disappearing back outside and out of sight.
You’re left with awkward silence between you and your date as Eddie stomps away muttering under his breath. Devin clears his throat, twirling his beer, the glass against the wood making a sound that starts to grate on your nerves. He’s daring you to look at him. The huff he exhales afterwards begs you to look. Your mind races with ideas of how to get out of this and when you dare to finally take a peek, he’s looking forward, emptying the last of his bottle.
“I’m gonna go smoke a cigarette!” You blurt out, grabbing your bag and leaving no time for a response. Your sandals clack as you power walk to the door. To Steve.
The summer night is sticky on your face when you step out of the bar, the sound of a girl’s sniffled “You’re right Steve” directing your stare to the bouncer you were looking for. Sitting on the very stool you knocked him off of, his big boots sit on the lowest footrest with his knees spread wide. Inviting. His eyes connect with yours, widening a bit when you smirk at him while getting yourself comfortable on the brick wall on the opposite side of the door. Digging your cigarettes out of your purse, you notice the girl next to him has mascara running down her cheeks that she only makes worse when she wipes them with the back of her hand.
“You know Maryanne, it sounds like this isn’t the first time he’s done this to you. I think it’s time to kick him to the curb. You deserve better.” He speaks to her like they’ve been friends their whole lives and you have no idea how he’s learned so much about her in the few minutes he’s been outside. Crossing his arms as he leans back enough for the legs of the stool to pull up, he catches himself with his shoulders against the wall behind him.
“He sounds like a chump if you ask me,”you chime in, lighting your cigarette. Steve’s smile shines under the pink luminescent sign above him when he hears your voice. The wooden legs of his stool smacking loud against the cement when he pushes off the wall.
She’s startled by your sudden appearance, not noticing when you came out - too lost in her own world. She gives you a weak smile that doesn’t quite reach her eyes before she nods, tugging at her high pony and somehow making it higher. The sequined scrunchy in her hair catches the street light as she tries hyping herself up to return to whoever was making her cry inside.
“He is a chump, but most men are.” She sighs, her shoulders relaxing a little more as she calms down.
“You’ve got this honey, tell him to fuck off and go home with Lisa if that’s what he wants so bad,” Steve champions, patting her on the back, a new layer to Maryanne’s story being revealed. His eyes flick back to you as you take a drag, the mossy green going dark when he watches your cheeks hollow.
“Thanks for listening Steve, I’m gonna go back in now.” She wipes her nose one more time, before giving you a polite head nod.
“Have Eddie make you something sweet, and tell him it’s on me.” The bouncer winks, giving her the boost of confidence she needs before opening the door you just came out of. Monifah’s Touch It adds to the tension between Steve and you when it leaks out of the bar as she disappears inside. The bass thumps against the brick, leaving the song just muffled enough to be background noise when it closes behind her.
The air is heavier, thicker with something you both know is there. Playing hard to get, you don’t meet his gaze, despite feeling it over every curve and dip of your body. Inhaling another hit of nicotine, you lift your head up to exhale the smoke into the dark sky, extending your neck for him to see before you finally give in and chance a glance in his direction.
He looks far too handsome, smiling wide when you meet his eyes, all his perfectly white teeth baring themselves at you in a way that makes your legs shake.
“Missed me already baby?” His feet hit the sidewalk, his man spread somehow bigger this way as he scoots closer to the edge of the stool.
“You’re not very good at your job, are you?” You grin, successfully dodging the answer he already knows as your head hits the side of the building. Tilting your chin in his direction with your lip tucked between your teeth, you catch his narrowed glare.
“Nice try sweetheart, I used to watch Road House, religiously. I learned from the best. I’m just distracted,” the buttery smoothness of his voice returns, the last of his sentence coming out in a purr.
“Distracted?” You quirk a brow, not giving into him just yet.
“Yes, very much so and I regret to inform you that it’s all your fault too.” He sticks his bottom lip out at you in a pout, earning the giggle he’d been trying to get again since he first heard it, even if it's accompanied by your pretty eyes rolling in the back of your head.
“I’m on a date, Steve.” Even though you know it’s a weak comeback at this point, you still give it and he doesn’t miss a beat.
“Where? I don’t see him.”
Your cheeks heat up at his observation so you take another drag of your half smoked cigarette to try and hide the way he’s affecting you.
“I’m supposed to be quittin’, but you’re makin’ it look too good, pretty girl. Let me have a puff?” His question is an invitation, making the first move to call your bluff, to get you closer.
“Is that why you seem to have a cinnamon addiction?” you tease, not surprised when you kick off the wall accepting it with a smirk and an exaggerated sway of your hips.
He licks his lips while his eyes roam the length of your body unashamed, one large hand raking through his hair when you stop close enough to smell the topic of discussion on his breath.
“Could be addicted to worse,” he murmurs, not sure where to look having you between his legs like this.
“It’s a Newport, S‘that okay, Steve?” you ask him from underneath flirting lashes. His breath hitching before a sly smirk spreads across his pink lips.
“More than okay baby.” He leans closer, fingers wrapping around the plush curve of your hip to anchor you in place.
Tipping up on your toes, your hand comes down on his thigh making the muscle flex against your palm, your touch sending shocks through the rough denim while the other holds the gloss stained end up to his mouth.
Steve holds your stare when his lips wrap around where yours just were. His nails dig half crescent moons into your exposed skin as his cheeks hollow out. You can feel your heartbeat between your legs, your brows meeting in the middle when he tugs you even closer before tilting his head up. The thick expanse of his neck on full display as he blows out his drag, adam's apple bobbing in the light making the moles dance across his skin.
“The strawberry really sets it off.” He grins as his hand dares to slide down the top curve of your ass, making it his new home when you make no moves to get away from him.
“Thanks, it’s my favorite gloss.” You shrug, pretending to unphased by his teasing, but the mess in your panties would give you away if he could see.
“Maybe I could get a better taste,” his words are bold, but his free hand is bolder. Soft fingertips play with the top hem of your skirt, daring to dip under the fabric every once and awhile and he swears he hears you whimper.
“You want more?” Your voice comes out small, dripping in honey just for him. You know what he really wants, but he’s not gonna get it yet.
“God, if you’ll let me honey.” There’s a light squeeze on the dough of your ass, and it makes you flutter around nothing.
You lean in slowly, your hand moving further up his thigh watching the way his chest starts to rise and fall from it. Stretching the cotton of his shirt with every breath. The fingers that had been exploring the top of your skirt start a path up to the bottom of your top. A low hum coming from under his breath when the sweetness of your body lotion hits his nose.
His eyes shut when your faces get close enough that he feels like he can taste the strawberry that he wants so bad. He doesn’t notice when you pull back at the last second to replace your kiss with another puff until your cigarette shoves past his puckered lips.
When he opens them, he’s met with your giggles, a sound he wants on a loop. He pretends to glare, still taking the hit you were offering him, exhaling it through his nose like an angry bull. He opens his mouth to chastise you but the beeping of his digital pet interrupts his intimidating moment again.
“Gotta get that?” Your lips twitch while you try to contain your laugh, flicking the cigarette onto the street.
“Listen, my best friend got it for me. I thought it was incredibly stupid, and I definitely told her it was too.” The hand on your waist leaves to dig his Tamagotchi out of his front pocket. “But now I’m attached to the little guy.”
The key chain sized toy lights up in his hand, as he starts to feed it with a press of a button.
“Mine died yesterday,” you admit and the laugh you’d been fighting off echoes loudly when he looks up at you horrified.
“What? Do you have it with you now?”he questions as the small happy tune plays signaling that his pet is fully satisfied.
“She’s somewhere in my bag, don’t worry she was reborn this morning,” your words don’t reassure him considering they seem to need food every thirty minutes and you haven’t pulled it out once since he’s met you.
“Sounds like you want her to die again to me.” Steve’s very real concern about your Tamagotchi has you smirking.
“They die so easily, you’re telling me yours hasn’t died?”
Your jaw drops when he shakes his head ‘no’, a smugness taking over his handsome features.
“Steve, that’s like really hard to do.” You don’t know whether you should be impressed or roast him but when his hand grips at your ass one more time you decide it’s the first.
“Better give her to me for the night baby, I’ll keep her nice and healthy for my favorite girl.” Stuffing his back into his pocket, he holds his palm open for you in a vow to keep your digital pet alive and an excuse to see you later.
Rolling your eyes playfully, you obey his wishes. Digging to the bottom of your bag till you find your purple one. The screen already going off, and the muffled beeping that signaled the need for it to be fed finally becomes loud enough to hear.
“See! I told you. On the cusp of death already.”
You drop it in his hand, right as an older trucker comes barreling out of the bar reminding you where you’re at and that Devin is still waiting inside. Again.
“Fuck, I should go back in.” You sigh as your fingers play with the seam on the leg of his jeans.
“Go back in and tell that guy to get lost,” the bouncer almost whines, his grip on your hip tightening before he lets you go.
“Steve,” you huff but the smile on your face gives him hope.
“Just saying sweetheart, could be fun.” He shrugs, putting on an air of nonchalance while your Tamagotchi dangles from his thumb.
You both know who you really want to go home with tonight.
The bubble you and Steve are in pops as soon as you get back inside The sound of the distant cars on the freeway and Steve’s voice is replaced with Return of the Mack and the crowd that was at a simmer when you first got here is now at a full boil.
You have to get rid of Devin.
He’s right where you left him, hunched over and twirling his beer bottle on top of the bar. You notice the three empty shot glasses before you see Eddie dropping off another one while giving you the kind of eyes that say ‘Come take care of your date’ as he walks away. Taking a deep breath, you make your way towards him going over all the ways you can let him down easy while your nerves drown out the little bit of guilt you had for ditching him.
“Heeeey,” your voice is high pitched, awkwardness dripping from its tone when you finally return to your stool next to him.
Crickets.
You freeze - he’s ignoring you. How can you get rid of him if he’s ignoring you? Your eyes shift around the bar nervously, offering an awkward tight lipped smile when anyone meets your stare. You search for Eddie again, hoping to silently ask for help but his back is to you, clearly putting the moves on a girl at the other end.
“Devin.”
You hope that saying his name will elicit the desired response but that dwindles quickly when he chugs the rest of his beer, continuing his charade and keeping his gaze forward before slamming the empty bottle down.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” he grumbles, irritation laced in every word before he pushes off the stool still not meeting your eyes.
You wait till he’s out of earshot before you let out a groan, your long disappearance clearly pissed him off. Propping yourself up by your elbows on the sticky bar, you close your eyes, rubbing your temples while you try to think of the right way to go about this. Eddie’s knowing chuckle is the last thing you want to hear but that’s just how the night is going now.
“You pretty little scoundrel!” He slaps the spot in front of you forcing your eyes open, his smile only widening when you glare at him.
“He’s so pissed and now thanks to you,” gesturing towards the empty shot glasses Eddie gets rid of with quick hands, you avoid the real reason, “He’s gonna be trashed!”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa sweetheart. I’m not the one who can’t keep their hands off Stevie boy. And on a date too? Tsk tsk tsk.” He crosses his arms with a shake of his head, “Now you broke poor Derek’s -“
“Devin.”
“Whatever - fish guy’s heart. Aren’t you in a little predicament hmm?” Eddie hums the last part, but you can see the excited glint in his eyes. He loves watching your escapades.
“Listen,” you can’t help the giggle that bubbles past your strawberry lips under his knowing gaze, “When you told me he was hot Eddie, you didn’t tell me he was that hot.”
Smirking, you enjoy watching the way his face contorts knowing that was a damn lie.
“Are you kidding?” He throws his hands in the air, giving you the reaction you were baiting him for, “It was the first thing I told you.”
You laugh loudly at his exasperation with your antics, almost forgetting about Devin entirely for the third time tonight.
“Have fun figuring out this little love triangle you’ve created, I need to get to the rest of the paying customers so I can get back to that hottie at the end of the bar.” He points to the girl he was talking to earlier who’s sipping a drink she looks surprised to even like.
“I bet you aren’t charging her for anything are you?” You narrow your eyes playfully, cackling when he rolls his waving you off as he walks away.
Sliding off the stool, you tug up your tube top, ready to give it to Devin straight, more than eager to get back outside again.
“I knew the guys in the office said you were easy, but I didn’t think you’d be spreading your legs for anything that walked on our date.” Devin’s voice comes as a surprise, but the tight grip on your arm pulling you to him is an even bigger one.
Searing rage fills every part of your body at the fact that he put his hands on you, palms flat on his chest, you use all your strength to shove him away. Shock paints his features, not expecting you to fight back so aggressively. All the drinks he’s had make him stumble back, losing his footing almost falling into the couple next to him.
“Well I’m sure as shit not spreading them for you!” you spit, looking him up and down with disgust before putting a finger in his face, “And your shirt? It’s fucking ugly.”
You give him one last once over before shaking your head and walking away. Heading back towards the entrance, you notice Steve inside again. A hard glare is set on his face, nostrils flaring as he zeros in on Devin behind you who’s still trying to regain his balance.
God, it’s the hottest he’s looked all night.
Steve’s hazel eyes meet yours and they instantly soften when you can’t help but smile as he opens the door for you.
“Thanks Stevie,” using Eddie’s nickname, you run your hands across his chest when you walk by, just to add salt to Devin’s wound.
The flush that paints his cheeks tells you how much he likes it.
“When I told you to ditch your date, I didn’t mean to fist fight him, honey,” he teases, following you outside, letting the chipped red door shut behind you and muffling the sounds of the bar again.
“He got mad about my little disappearance before I could let him down easy.” Turning around, you bite your bottom lip to try to hide your growing smile.
“Poor guy.” Steve grins before taking the two steps to close the gap, to crowd your space. Cinnamon fanning across your face, “Never stood a chance.”
It’s harder for you to breathe when he looks at you like he wants to kiss you, but before you can respond, the door flies open.A drunk Devin stumbling out with a glare breaking you two apart.
“Of course, of FUCKING course. Not even two seconds later? You really are a slut, huh?” Devin seethes, stumbling out onto the sidewalk.
“I’m really going to need you to watch your mouth champ. No need to call girls names. You’re a big boy.” Steve’s tone is condescending as he squares up, making sure you’re behind him.
“You think you’re so fucking cool,” Devin scoffs before hiccuping, “Careful with this one, she’s probably sucked your buddy’s dick inside too.”
“Yeah, that’s enough, asshole. Go home, before I have to beat some respect into that ugly skull of yours.” Steve cracks his knuckles again, but it doesn’t have the same effect as before, Devin only raising his eyebrows at the bouncer.
“Respect? That’s funny. The whore behind you hasn’t heard of it.”
Steve loses his cool and like a flash he’s on him. Pulling his fist back Steve moves just a little too slow and Devin clocks him right in the jaw. The sound of bone against bone echoes loudly into the night. Stumbling back, Steve cradles where an ugly bruise will start forming in the morning, rubbing it out. He cracks his neck before barreling towards Devin, taking him down to the ground like a football player.
In a flurry of fists and cuss words, Devin somehow gets Steve pinned. The alcohol and anger flowing through his system turns him into The Hulk. Your screams for them to stop fall on deaf ears while they continue to roll around on the ground. Panic sets in when you realize neither man is going to stop. Doing the only thing you know how to do in these situations, you get Eddie.
Frantic, you open the door, ignoring the fact that Third Eye Blind is playing at the exact worst time, you scream Eddie’s name loud enough to silence the bar.
“Eddie! It’s bad. Steve needs you!”
He looks up from a clearly flirtatious conversation with the girl from before, both of their eyes landing on you as you get your friends attention. He grumbles, grabbing her hands saying something to her that makes her nod bashfully before jumping over the bar top. Jogging out the front, he towers easily over the two men, neither one of you bothering to check the red heads I.D. that walks in after you.
“The first fucking night man!” Eddie yells at Steve, grabbing Devin by the back of his shirt pulling him off the bouncer with ease, but not before Steve gets one more cheap shot in.
He wrestles against Eddie’s grip for a second before finally giving up with a hiccup, hocking a loogie in Steve’s direction.
“You done?” The bartender's face is unamused, as he waits for Devin to nod. “I never wanna see you or your shitty ass style at my bar again. Beat it bozo before I give you a matching black eye to go with the one Steve gave you.”
Two against one is too much for Devin to take on, so he raises his hands up in surrender when Eddie lets him go. Rolling his tongue against his cheek he shoots you one last glare before turning on his heel. Flipping everyone off as he starts down the sidewalk. Steve returns the gesture, spitting at his retreating form.
“You good?” Eddie asks, extending his hand for his friend to take.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m good. Just hate that guy.” Steve mumbles, looking everywhere but at you while he straightens his shirt and dusts off his jeans with bloody knuckles.
“Your hand dude, I can’t have you bleeding all over people I.D’s. and I know Rick doesn’t have a first aid kit. At least I’ve never seen one.” Eddie rubs the back of his neck, stress coming in the form of knitted brows.
“I’ve got one,” you mumble, finally finding your voice and the bartender claps, wiping his hands clean of the situation.
“There, go play nurse with lover boy and get out of my hair tonight. I’m like this close,” he pinches two fingers together to show “to scoring and you both have been fucking it up every chance you can get. I swear to god.”
Eddie waves you off as he makes his way back in, and you can feel the shift in energy between you and the bouncer you’ve been wanting all night.
Steve’s quiet the whole walk up the stairs to your apartment, fuming with anger and embarrassment, the confidence from before gone while the bruise on his jaw deepens and he cradles his bleeding knuckles.
“This is me,” you break the silence cringing, your voice amplified in the walls of the narrow hallway while you dig out your key.
“Thanks for this, angel,” his words come out in just above a whisper but at least it’s something.
The endearment has a smile creeping across your face and you finally dare to turn around to get a look at him after you hear the click of your lock. You press your back against your open door, it’s your turn to extend an invitation.
“Anytime Stevie.”
His face softens the minute he lays his eyes on you again, jealous of the way you bite your bottom lip sweetly, he wishes it was him.
You let Steve into your world one heavy boot at a time, locking the door behind you. Watching the way his dimmed eyes brighten, curiosity winning over any leftover irritation. The ghost of a smirk twitches at the corners of his lips while he walks the small space of your studio taking everything in. The neon sign outside your window is the only light that illuminates it, shadows dancing off trinkets on shelves and pictures on walls, he was getting a glimpse of you.
He stops in the middle of your room, right at the edge of your bed. The dark denim and leather that cover him are a stark contrast against your baby blue rug, but you think he looks like he belongs here. You watch the way he takes in your hastily made bed, licking his lips when he sees a pair of panties that didn’t quite make it in the laundry basket in the corner. The radio you’d forgotten to turn off plays a commercial, filling the space between you, and you aren’t prepared for when he puts his full attention back on you again after not having it for the past twenty minutes. Your body responds immediately to the playful glint in his eye.
“Cute place, for a cute girl.” He grins, running his good hand through his hair before he walks over to the window to take a look at your view.
“I bet you say that to all of em’,” you tease because it’s easier to do with his back to you. Making your way to the bathroom, nerves burst like butterflies in your stomach.
“You’re the only one baby.”
His response is quick as he turns around, the flirting you’d grown accustomed to coming back like a raging storm. He watches your hips while you walk the short distance with a heavy stare that covers every part of you. Leaning against the door frame with your curves on full display, something shifts behind his eyes. Flipping the lightswitch, white beams break apart the pink, highlighting even more of you for him to drink in.
“Come on handsome, let’s get you patched up.”
His cheeks flush at the new nickname and it's his turn to bite his lip in a shy smile for you.
It doesn’t take more than a few steps for his long legs, the wood creaking under his weight. Pressing your back to the frame, he stops in front of you with one foot over the threshold and the other still in your room. He takes up so much space. His biceps flex when he reaches for your hip, tugging you even closer, you can smell the menthol still lingering on his breath. On instinct your palm hits his chest, muscles dancing under heated skin as you tilt your chin up to meet his eyes. Squeezing at your softness before he speaks, he lets his middle finger dip under the top of your skirt.
“I really meant it when I said thank you back there. Just need you to know that.” His finger dares to dip lower, rubbing circles that make your back arch, hips pushing forward on a search for his. The curve of your stomach touches the cool metal of his belt buckle and the heat of his body sets fire between your thighs.
“I know you did,” your voice is sweet for him, the tone you know he likes while your hand moves down the dip between his pecs, “Thank you for sticking up for me.”
You can feel the coarse hair that starts at the top of his belly button where your hand stops, and you swear you feel him twitch in his pants. A second one of his fingers finds its way under your skirt and another subtle tug gets you even closer. So close that all you’d have to do is stand on your tiptoes for your lips to touch.
“Anything for you, pretty girl,” he breathes, spice and tobacco taking over. His adam’s apple bobs when he catches the way you start staring at his lips, the gloss on your own shimmering in the new light.
“Anything?” Quirking your brow with a smirk, your innuendo makes him moan and his hold on you tighten.
“Absolutely.” Ducking his head lower so his nose brushes against the bridge of yours, he dares you to make the first move.
“In that case…” Pressing your toes down to push yourself up, the playful glint in your eye goes unnoticed by him.
Your lips are a ghost, his top one barely brushing against your bottom, it's enough for him to taste the strawberry he wanted more of outside but not enough to satisfy. His eyes flutter closed waiting to feel their full plushness but your words bring him back to reality.
“Sit on the toilet for me.”
The specks of emerald shine again when his eyes snap open to see you flat on your feet with a grin. Groaning loudly with fake irritation, he lets go of you in exasperated defeat, letting his head fall back and hit the wood of the frame.
“What? We came up here for my first aid kit, didn't we?” You giggle after you say it, you don’t mean it.
“Sure, sure, yeah, yeah.” Nodding, he runs a hand through his hair while he looks around your bathroom.
It smells like your coconut body wash and it drives him crazy. He takes an unexpected step forward, his hand finding its way back to your hip to push you against the wall. One heavy boot between your wedged sandals, getting just close enough to kiss you. Is he going to?
It's your eyes that flutter closed this time, your fingers wrapping themselves around his belt loops again. He’s tentative with his injured hand when he uses it to cradle your jaw. His palm is soft as it covers half your neck, his thumb pushing up against your chin to tilt your face up to his. He runs the tip of his nose along your cheek and you feel your knees start to get weak, a whimper begging to fall from your parted lips.
“If that’s the only thing we’re here to do then we should get to it then, huh?”
Just as quick as he invades your space, he leaves it. The porcelain of your toilet seat cover clunks loudly when he drops himself on it. Spread out like on the stool outside, he takes over the room, leaving you to catch your breath with a smug grin.
It’s a staring contest with narrowed eyes after that, but the twitch of your lips tells him you aren’t actually mad. He snorts when you clear your throat to regain your composure, purposely ignoring the obvious when you bend over to open the cabinet under the sink, pulling out the bright red zip up bag.
“We need to wash your knuckles first, then I’ll put some ointment on them and wrap it up for you. We’ll keep it that way for the night and we can check on it in the morning.” The words leave your mouth before you can stop them and he catches the slip up instantly.
“Oh? You need to keep me overnight for observations?”
You bite your lip to try and hide your smile, grabbing a washcloth running it under hot water instead of looking at him.
“You know what I meant, I’ll come check on it tomorrow when you get to work.” You don’t even believe your lie, and the toothy smile you catch from the corner of your eye tells you he doesn’t either.
“But nurse, I don’t know. I think I should stay, I got hit in the face too. Concussions you know? I really shouldn’t be alone tonight.” He lays it on thick, eating up the way he sees you loving it spreading across your face when you ring out the soapy rag.
You don’t try to hide it when you finally face him, or when you settle between his legs for the second time tonight. The new position has him eye level with your chest, easier access to his lips. You hold your palm out for him, your hand disappearing completely when he drapes his wounded one over it.
“Concussion, huh? Are you feeling light headed Steve?” You play along giving your best impression of a medical professional.
He hisses when you press the damp cloth to his knuckles, sucking in air between his teeth when you start to clean. The soothing circles the pad of your thumb rubs on the side of his hand is almost enough to distract him from it.
“Yeah, but that started before I got hit.”
You finally dare to meet his gaze, a flattered smile spreading wide across your face that you try to play down with a roll of your eyes.
“Hmmm,” you hum to yourself, deciding not to give in just yet as you switch from the rag to the ointment, getting the bandaging and medical tape out.
“I mean, you’re the professional honey. You tell me.” You feel his good hand tug at the bottom of your skirt while you smear the neosporin on his knuckles with a q-tip, his long fingers flexing at the cooling effect.
“It started before you got hit?” You question with a fake pensive expression, gently taking his palm in your hand to start the wrapping process.
“Yeah, you see, this girl hit me with a door earlier. Knocked me clean off my stool.” He makes the motion of him falling with a swipe of his hand, “ and I haven’t been the same since if I’m being completely honest.”
It takes everything inside you to not give him the satisfaction of a laugh, the way you met coming back to the forefront of your mind.
“Some would argue putting your stool in front of the door like that is kinda stupid, but that's just my professional opinion.” Your shrug earns a loud laugh from him and you relish in it, promising yourself you’ll get him to do it again.
“All done.” You let go of his hand and he already misses you holding it, but the proud look on your face is a good distraction while you admire your handy work.
He holds it up, and you still can’t get over just how big they are. Curling his fingers in before extending them, he only winces slightly from the pain. The pressure of the bandage already helping. He jumps slightly when the backs of your fingers smooth over the fresh bruise forming on his jaw, the stubble tickling your skin. His eyes watch yours as they rake over the damage, the softness of your touch almost enough to make his eyelids heavy when you stroke the sore spot again.
“What do you think, huh?” His question comes out quiet, the playful edge gone while both his hands find the back of your legs. Rough fingertips run up your calves, catching the bottom of your skirt as they go, “Are you gonna keep me baby?”
A shiver runs up your spine when he hits the back of your thighs and you feel yourself getting pulled closer. He drags his nose up the bare skin of your sternum while his hands grab doughy handfuls just below the curve of your ass. The sound of your moan when his fingers get high enough to just barely graze the soaked material between your weakening legs sends him into overdrive. Growling, he nips at the tops of one of your breasts.
“Come on, tell me, what’s it gonna be?” Despite trying to sound confident, there’s a desperation in the way he asks. He knows you want it but he needs you to say it.
It’s when his fingers slip under the lace trim of your panties that you finally give in with a gentle grab of his chin. His eyes are black when they meet yours, the ends of his nails digging into soft skin.
“Yeah, I’m gonna keep you.” You give into an urge you’ve had since you laid eyes on him, tangling your fingers in his hair as you spread yourself open for his hands to wander.
He doesn’t hold back anymore and you’re reminded of just how tall he actually is when he stands up. His actions are quick and with purpose, the strength you knew was behind those muscles showing itself when he lifts you onto the edge of the sink with your skirt rucked up to your hips. He man handles you in a way no one ever has and you feel it light a fire in your gut. Impatient for his next move, you grab the collar of his shirt while his hands spread wide over the tops of your thighs, your lips finally getting to do what they’ve wanted all night.
It’s soft at first, both of you moving slow as you figure out what the other likes, careful not to hurt his jaw. One of his hands finds its way back to your cheek, the pad of his thumb rubbing the length of the bone while his tongue begs you to open up. He traces the top of your lip, shuddering at the taste of the strawberry and it makes him wonder if your skin tastes like the coconut he smells.
You give him the access he wants, your tongues meeting in the middle, making the fire that had been begging to consume you pour out from your fingertips that bury themselves into the roots at the nape of his neck. You need more. The hard length that has been fighting against the denim of his jeans presses hard into where you want his attention, your legs wrap around him - silently begging him to do it again.
One arm snakes around your lower back, holding you flush against his chest, the grind of his hips giving you the friction that makes you keen. A moan and a breathless “fuck” is what breaks your lips apart when his zipper catches your swollen clit with just the right amount of pressure. He uses his new found freedom to kiss down the length of your jaw, humming against your heated skin when you tilt your head to give him better access to all the sensitive places he can’t wait to discover. He sucks the soft spot behind your ear when you meet the next roll of his hips, your slides falling loudly off your feet to the tile floor.
“Steve,” his name comes out in a high pitch whine when he starts sucking a bruise in a place you know you’ll have to try and cover up for the next few days. He was marking you, and you could care less. You hold him there, encouraging more as his teeth graze your pulse point, a “baby” slipping past his lips when he finally pulls away.
He meets your eyes with flushed cheeks and messy hair and the kind of hunger that makes you melt.
“Let me take you to bed, let me take care of you,” he’s panting, his hold on you tightening so you can feel just how bad he needs this. A smirk spreads across his swollen lips when your hips shift in search for more, giving him the answer he needs along with the nod of your head.
Just as easy as he lifted you on the sink, he carries you to the bed, big hands cradling thick thighs before he lays you on your back. Your giggle fills the space in between heavy pants before TLC’s Creep starts playing over the speakers of the radio. His hands find their way to the bottom of his shirt, pulling it over his head and you watch an expanse of new freckles and moles get revealed to you. You want to kiss them all. They dot the spots next to the dark hair over his belly button while the thick thatch of chest hair you’d only gotten a glimpse of glistens with beads of sweat in the glow of the Foxy Lounge light.
His jeans hang low enough for you to get a glimpse of the veins protruding from the V shape that leads to the part of him that’s sure to make you forget your own name. His grin is cocky when he recognizes the expression on your face. Grabbing your ankle, he pulls you closer to the edge of the bed. The bottom of your foot resting on the soft hair of his chest while long fingers hold you in place. He keeps his eyes trained on yours while he starts to trail wet kisses down the inside of your leg. The stubble covering his jaw scratching along his path in the best way. He stops when he gets to the soft skin of your knee, nipping playfully, he smirks at the squeal it earns him before he drops your leg in favor of curling his fingers under the top of your skirt.
You lift your hips for him without him having to ask, and the flash of his teeth is almost enough to blind you. He’s slick with his movements, taking your panties too. You hear his breath catch in his throat when he sees the effects all his teasing has on you. His fingers grip at your thighs before pulling your sticky skin apart with a lick of his lips.
“Look at you baby, all this for me?” The last part of his question comes out in a groan when he swipes the pad of his thumb against your bundle of nerves, kicking up in his jeans when your legs shake in response. “So sensitive too. Let me make her feel good, yeah?”
He swipes his thumb against your clit again making your eyes shut tight and your hips buck.
“I need to hear you say it.” He keeps rubbing circles, applying just enough pressure for you to forget how to speak, “Come on, be a good girl for me.”
His other hand pulls down your tube top, breasts spilling out in the blush light for his eyes to devour. He groans at the sight, his other hand coming up to cup the soft flesh feeling the way your nipples pebble against the warmth of his palm.
“Steeeeve, please.”
You’re whining for him and it makes his brows pinch together, feeling drunk off you.
“God angel, you’re fuckin’ beautiful you know that?” He emphasizes his question with his hands, giving your sides a squeeze while his eyes roam every dip and curve of your body. “Turn around for me? I wanna see all of you.”
The look on his face makes you decide that you’ll never deny him anything he asks, giving him a nod, you run your hands up his arms, nails dragging across the light hair before you push yourself up to get on all fours.
You feel completely exposed to him like this, all the secret places of your body on full display. He’s quiet for a minute and it’s almost enough for your nerves to get the best of you until you feel his palm find the apple of your ass. Fingers digging into doughy flesh, a groan loud enough to drown out the music erupts deep from his chest.
“Baby, baby, babyyy,” he emphasizes the last endearment with another handful before pulling your cheeks apart to get a better look at your dripping cunt, “Prettiest pussy I’ve ever fuckin’ seen.”
Your hips wiggle at his words, your walls fluttering around nothing while the cool air from the overhead fan hits your heat, sending goosebumps dancing across your supple flesh. A dark chuckle leaves him when he sees how much power his words have over you. His knees hit the side of the mattress, one hand hooking around your hip while the other runs down the dip of your spine giving you a light push when he hits your shoulder blades until you're bent over for him.
“She likes when I talk to her, huh?” his voice is low, mesmerized when you start dripping on the bed for him and he’s barely touched you, “She likes when I call her pretty doesn’t she?”
The moan that leaves your mouth is pathetic and he wishes he could record it.
“Playing hard to get all night, but look at you.” His good hand comes down hard enough on your ass for the fat to jiggle and you to fist handfuls of your comforter because of it, “Making such a filthy mess and I haven’t even put my mouth on you yet.”
His grip is rough when he tugs your hips, the outline of his dick pressing into you, the denim scratching against your clit in a way that has your eyes rolling in the back of your head.
“Tell me how much you want my mouth baby, tell me how much you want me to make you cum.” He grinds against you again, only this time making sure to apply the kind of pressure that makes your back arch.
“Fuck - Steve, please I want it. I’ve wanted it all night. I’ve wanted it all night,” you're babbling as he circles his hips, fingers kneading your soft skin.
Satisfied with your answer he mumbles a “so good for me” as he pulls away he gives you another light slap to your ass - signaling for you to scoot up, your mattress dipping behind you when he gets on his knees.
Big hands spread you apart, your forehead hits the comforter when you feel the heat of his breath against your slick folds. Your walls flutter, begging for his attention when his tongue runs a long stripe up your slit. He hums at the taste before he does it again, this time making sure to circle your clit before lapping up everything you were drenching him with like he was thirsty for it.
“Oh my god,” you huff into your blankets, toes curling when he starts an assault against your bundle of nerves, the pointed tip of his nose pressing deeper into your entrance as he gets lost in the sounds he’s pulling from you.
His fingers stretch across the tiger stripes on your butt cheeks, pulling you even further apart to give him better access. The coil inside you already threatening to snap when he sucks hard on your clit. He lets it go with a loud pop, smirking to himself at the way he has your body shaking from overstimulation already.
“Taste so fuckin’ good. Strawberries, just like your lips.” He groans, inhaling your scent like a man starved, his good hand coming down on your cheek again only this time a little harder pulling out another broken moan from you.
“Can I taste all of you pretty girl?”
There’s zero hesitation when you say ‘yes’, in fact it’s a little desperate. He could have whatever he wanted from you now. Not even sure what he means, your brain’s too fuzzy with lust to comprehend anything until you feel the tip of his tongue circle a place you’d never let anyone else go before.
“Holy shit - Steve.” The new sensation sends another wave arousal to your dripping core, a needy whine following it when he does it again.
“This okay?” He kisses the curve underneath the apple of your cheek, the softness of his voice comforting you while he checks in.
“God, it’s, it’s -“ He gives you another kitten lick and it makes your eyes roll in the back of your head, “It’s more than okay - Jesus Christ.”
Too lost in the feeling of him testing the tightness of you with his tongue, you aren’t expecting his thick finger to start circling the entrance he’d been neglecting, the one you need him to fill the most. Your silk walls welcome the intrusion with ease, the stretch only stinging a little when he pushes to the last knuckle while his tongue starts getting a little more bold. Your back arches when he groans against you, curling his finger to hit the spot only you’d ever been able to find with ease. He adds a second digit when you start bucking against his face, the new addition almost makes you run away. He tsks at you from buried between your butt cheeks, one large hand locking you in place when he starts feeling you get close.
“Give it to me,” he demands, coming up for air. Fingertips relentless against the spot that has you squelching loudly.
His mouth returns to the sensitive part of you, tongue circling your tightness in a way that has you finally snapping. Your walls constrict, wrapping around his fingers while your vision goes white. Your body freezes, the orgasm overwhelming your muscles with a violent shake, his name falling from your lips like it’s the only word you know. You feel him grin against you, the movements of his fingers only slowing down but never stopping, milking every last drop you give him.
“So good, so pretty when you cum baby,” he mumbles praises, his lips kissing anywhere they can reach while your body comes down from its first high.
You feel his weight leave the mattress, hear the metal of his belt buckle clinking followed by the low thump of his jeans hitting the floor. You find enough strength to look over your shoulder and it’s enough to make you whimper. Steve’s big. Dark hair at the base, it’s thick and curved, the pretty pink tip leaking just for you. The long vein that runs up the side pulses when he gives it a couple of tugs before his knees hit the mattress again.
His hands spread over your hips pulling you closer before he starts trailing kisses up your back, the silver of his chain making you shiver as it runs up your spine till his lips stop right at your ear.
“You ready for me?”
Your eyes meet his and they’re pitch black, tucking your bottom lip between your teeth, you know yours looks the same when you give him a nod but you know that’s not going to be enough for him.
“Come on, you know what I need,” his tone is mocking as he grabs his cock at the base, swiping his head through your folds, smirking at the way you try to suck him in, your body greedy for him.
“Please, please, please, please.”
All your self respect goes out the window when he pushes the tip in and you can’t stop repeating yourself. The stretch is already bigger than his two fingers and he wasn’t even half way in yet and for a brief moment you wonder if he’ll even fit.
“Fuck - baby.”
He moans as he pushes further, sheathing himself half way and he feels the way it makes your legs shake. His hand sneaks around your waist to find your clit, slippery fingers rubbing circles to get you to open up more as he rolls his hips one more time bottoming out. He groans so loud you’re sure anyone who might be smoking outside of the bar can hear him.
“Holy shiiiit, I’ve never had pussy like this.” He stills, adjusting to how tight you feel, and it’s his turn to babble as you constrict around him making him twitch - dangerously close to cumming already.
“You feel so good Stevie,” you whine as you push back against him, taking his length even deeper, feeling every curve and ridge of him against your walls.
He pulls out half way before slamming back in and it makes him curse under his breath before he does it again, only harder.
“God, fuck- this is all mine now, yeah?” he mutters, an angry edge to his words when he thinks about Devin getting to do this.
“Mmhmm,” your answer is automatic, no thoughts behind your eyes while his cock fills you in the way you fantasize about when you touch yourself.
“That’s right baby, it’s mine. You’re mine.”
His thrusts get aggressive as he gets closer to his release, your slick making it easy for him to slide almost completely out before pushing back in. The rough hair covering his pelvis rubbing your clit at the same time his tip reaches the same spot his fingers pulled your first orgasm from.
“Shit, Steve, right there.” Your jaw goes slack, eyes closing tight when he hits it again, your words spurring him on while he tries to re-grip his hold on your sweat-kissed skin.
“Yeah? you want more?” He makes sure to put all his attention where you want, slowing his hips just enough to hit it even harder. “I’ll give you more.”
Steve tilts his head to the side watching how you wrap around him, and the way he barely has to push back in, your greedy walls doing almost all the work when he finds the perfect pace that has you twisting the sheets.
He huffs out a cocky laugh and it makes you tighten in response, tears pricking the corners of your eyes.”Yeah, I know baby. I know. You gonna cum again for me?”
“Uh-huh,” you manage to get out with a nod but it’s not enough for him, he needs you loud enough for Devin to hear from across town.
The sound of skin slapping against skin drowns out the music, keeping his stamina up despite the twitch of his cock, he bends over, somehow getting deeper, the cool metal of his chain dragging across your back while one hand snakes under your waist. His fingers are unrelenting when they find their way to your puffy clit again, applying just enough pressure to get your legs to shake for him.
“I’m gonna ask again, are you gonna cum for me?” He keeps his voice even, but he knows he’s not gonna last much longer, especially not when your cheek hits the mattress and you meet his eyes looking like that.
“Yeah, god, yeah Steveee! Please, please, please.” You don’t even know what you’re begging for but it makes Steve’s resolve break.
The moan he lets out is loud enough to echo off your wall, warmth flooding your insides as he cums hard enough to collapse against your back. It’s enough to send you over the edge for the second time. Your walls fluttering enough to make his nails dig crescent moons into your hips with a low “fuck” escaping him as you milk him for more with the sweetest chant of his name he’s ever heard.
“That’s it baby.” He coos lips placing sloppy kisses along the your shoulder blades when you collapse against the mattress, your bodies tangled in a way you don’t have the energy to leave quite yet.
The radio cuts out leaving just the sound of the two of you trying to catch your breath, you can faintly hear ‘Pony’ playing from the bar below but the sound of a car driving past quickly snuffs it out. You feel his nose nudge against your ear, a slow lazy smile creeping across your face when his lips brush your temple.
“I don’t think you have a concussion, but you better stay the night just in case.”
His laugh vibrates against your back, a toothy grin pressed to your skin.
“It’s always better to be safe than sorry,” he agrees. The response you somehow managed to conjure up gets lost on your tongue when both your long forgotten Tamagotchi’s go off in his abandoned pants in a matching tune you’d never heard before.
“Our babies need daddy, honey,” he groans, slowly lifting himself up on his elbows.
You roll your eyes with a snort as he trails kisses down your back only wincing slightly when he pulls himself out. Folding your arms under your head, you still can’t bring yourself to move, but the view of him naked and still semi hard while he holds the two digital pets in his hand with a confused expression isn’t one you really can turn away from.
“What?” Your curiosity is piqued when his eyes grow big.
“No fuckin’ way,” he mumbles more to himself than you, “I didn’t even know they could do this.”
“What??” The irritation is clear in your voice, the feeling of being left out turning you into a brat.
“Umm, I think they had babies… yep. Marty definitely got her pregnant.” The smile on his face gives away just how excited he actually is and you hate to admit that it’s contagious.
“Well we’re gonna have to figure out a child support plan I’m afraid. Daisy’s a free woman Steve.” The serious delivery makes him do a double take before he narrows his eyes.
“Child support? No, we're raising these kids together. So I’m gonna need you to care a little bit about keeping her alive. It's not just you here honey.” He tosses you the toy before jumping back on the bed pulling your body into his chest with ease, “I’m afraid you’re never getting rid of me.”
