tried just a bit to revisit an old oc design.. her name is haruka and she was a d*ng*nr*npa oc (talent was tea maker)

her personality was shy, reserved. people pleaser. but also a bit cynical and sick and twisted because she was a d*ng*nr*npa oc. killed someone in an rp once. i often drew her with different hairstyles (unpictured because i am ashamed.) because her hair was quite long and she always had a rose hair accessory. look at the cutoff if u wanna see the old stuff

sorry i feel sick looking at these because i get paranoid i havent improved a lot and i was like 13/14 when i drew these. and also just cringy. i dont like the cafe maid arsthetic anymore.. which i would change into a gothic teahouse type thing (think yuuko xxxholic)

I always respond because it seems like the polite thing to do especially now that people don't leave as many comments as they used to back the 00's on ff.net

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

You Can't Stay Blind - (SuperWho (SPN/Doctor Who)) - the Eleventh Doctor runs into Crowley who's wearing a too familiar face

In the Pasture of a Vale (Supernatural) - Dean runs into Adam and Ben five years post-season 5 (written back in 2010)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

 I think I always end up with a kind of mixed emotion ending like Best Laid Plans or Our Soulmate Academia, so it's difficult to remember the truly happy ones. The most recent happy ending would be The Mystery in the Fog (ACD!Holmes) where Holmes and Watson end up at the same secret wedding of an underground queer club they're both members of unbeknownst to each other and have some revelations

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Sometimes I do. The most infamous incident was the time I wrote a fic speculating on who Castiel's vessel might have been before I got to Jimmy's episode in my binge watch back in the day. The reviewer went into gruesome detail on how I was going to burn in Hell for my fic. It was unreal. I just deleted the fic and then went on to write several more SPN fics as you do.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I've written smut a handful of times for fics and more often than that for RP since that's part of the RP culture I fell into in university. Most of my smut fics have been orphaned now, but the one that remains is Swallow My Fang at Night Island (Interview with the Vampire (AMC)) I approach smut like I approach fight scenes so I can keep track of the flow of action. I keep my own personal kinks out of it and try to write a scene I think the audience would look for instead

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I've written 15 crossovers. I enjoy them tbh. In terms of plot, the craziest one I wrote was Distortion (BBC Sherlock/My Life in Film) where Jones was hired to play Moriarty and things get way too real. In terms of titles crossed over, the craziest one is probably The Hokage (Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle/Naruto)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes, ages ago. It's why I'm my own beta reader or Kitty Britpicks me because I can trust her

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I had some requests but I've never been alerted to the final products

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

My brother and I regularly cowrote fics together when I was in high school and he was in middle school. If you ever read a Trigun script-based crack fic in the 00's with the phrase "Love and peace! Doves and geese! Change the world!" or "Another carnival ride with cotton candy," that was us.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

I don't think I actually have one because I'm a multi-shipper and I have so many favorites. That said, it might be inuyasha/Kagome since I always had an Inuyasha fic in rotation (usually more than one though) from 2001 - 2007 or so. Unfortunately they've all been lost to time. According to my AO3 relationship toggle in the filters sidebar, it's Destiel (7) and Devil's Minion (7)

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have a BnHA fic from before we learned what Hagukure's powers were where she sent Class-A and Aizawa back in time to Yagi's high school years to do a kind of Tenchi in Love (1996) type of plot where they had to stop a time traveler from murdering Yagi. I wrote quite a bit of it but it stalled on me when Midoriy and Nana interacted and I wasn't completely sure how to get that to work

16. What are your writing strengths?

The most consistent thing I get complimented on are my fight sequences, which is why it's sad I lost all my IY fics because I wrote so many fights for them

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

My memory is a sieve and some of the holes are too big

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done it before because I was a weeb and it was a trend in the 00's. Not sure I'd do it again now that I've matured past that.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Technically fairytales. I retold Cinderella when I was so little my mom had to write it down for me because I couldn't write yet. I drew pictures to go with the narration

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

The Land Across the Sea (Black Clover/Boruto) - Boruto ride a tsunami to Clover Kingdom and the knights have to take him back home, which is also Yami's homeland.

I got the idea for this fic when a friend and I were talking about what we'd want the Black Clover movie to be about when it was first announced. Then I took my idea of Yami getting to return to his homeland and made it a crossover because I like the idea of Yami and Naruto knowing each other from back in the day.

Do you know any good DoJae fanartists? As in, bottom Jaehyun/top Doyoung. I've grown bored of JaeDo fanarts and I've always been a huge bottom JH lover. Thank you. :)

I don't.

Good memorable fanart I see on X is mostly done by Korean and Chinese fans. However, 90% of them are strictly Jae/Do. I should say they still often portray the ship more balanced, and Do more close to his real person character, than what I usually see in fanfics in English (I don't know what happens in Asian fanfics, naturally, to compare though).

If it was a fictional ship and not real people I'm convinced are dating, I'd be that fanartist, lol. I can't draw RPS though. Strictly speaking, I can do DobMel, as the agents was cosplay and they are technically characters, but I'm lazy, and there are no fanfics to inspire.

Asian fanartists don't like when their art is reposted, and I never save sources. That's why I don't post fanart I encounter and like to this blog. I'll make an exeption, just "shh", don't circulate this post further on tumblr.

I seldom save JaeDo fanart (and some is lost in my "to sort" folders) because I'm not interested in just well-drawn pictures.

I'm not sure if it's a Do/Jae fanart, anon, but technically Do is on top, so it's for you. I think it's supposed to be Mark walking on them?

OK, this is the only undisputable Do/Jae I found in my folders, although there is little resemblance with Do.

I like the style a lot. And I think the artist translates their vibe quite well. Both are scenes from real photographs.

Something about first OCs? This little zashiki warashi ghost girl is technically my first oc (or at least the oldest I remember), and she's actually where i get my nickname from. I made her when i was like... 10, and I've wound up keeping her around/revamping her throughout the years since she's a major comfort character of mine. She was inspired by xxxHolic of all things, so her first iteration looked alot more like the zashiki-warashi from that series, before i sat down and re-did her. I still rp her, she's on my fandomless oc multi. Absolute sweetheart of a little kid who just wants to see people around her happy and adamantly ignoring that she's literally dead. Very first iteration though... hah, that was 10 year old me with baby's first oc, so her personality has changed A Lot. Not sure how she became so much more sweet and clueless, when 'hiding an entire bottle of Really Bad Shit' teenage me made her so cautious and guarded, but hey. Healing. These things happen.

2. How did you get into this franchise/fandom?

ah yes, the CLAMP rabbit hole...

well, my very first introduction to the four horsemen of the apocalypse CLAMP was with the cardcaptor sakura english dub when i was a kid. i was super obsessed with the show, but didn't learn more about it until i was in the 7th grade, where i discovered another series with syaoran and sakura called tsubasa: reservoir chronicle. i was so mind-blown at seeing older, cooler versions of them that i picked it up immediately, and it promptly became my whole life. however! i soon found out afterwards that the hot witch lady in the first volume had her own manga series that was connected to trc, so i looked into it as soon as i could.. and oh boy, if i thought trc had me in a chokehold, i was not prepared for what xxxholic was about to do to me. i couldn't afford to buy physical copies of the manga at the time, so i dug around the internet to find the fantranslated scans, and kept up with both series while they were in serialization. it was such a wild ride, reading new chapters and being emotionally devastated by all the twists and turns in the plot-- and even through all of my tears, i am so glad i stumbled upon these series :') they also helped me discover all of CLAMP's other manga!

13. Are there any other characters from the franchise you’d like to play?

i actually have written a few others! i used to write doumeki for a friend, but i was never super confident in his voice. i much more enjoyed writing ame-warashi, and especially yuuko. i had her in a jcink forum rp not too long ago! if i didn't desperately still want a yuuko/watanuki reunion here i'd probably also app her lol

14. How long have you been writing the character?

oh you know.. about 15 years or so.. ya girl is Old

21. Which song do you feel describes your character the most and why?

there are SO MANY, but the first one i thought of was make me real by she. it reminds me so much of the dream arc, where watanuki has trouble distinguishing what's real and what isn't, and really plays into the themes surrounding his existence. if you'd like my two and half hour spotify playlist for him though just lmk-- /j
