Hey,
what if this will happen in Season 3 of Helluva Boss?:
Loona will encounter an upcoming character who is a tall, mysterious, edgy, strong, dangerous, powerful, & extremely handsome & hot 23 year old male character who's revealed as a "Tribrid" because he is part demon from Hell, part angel from Heaven, & part Human from Earth.
Born as the result of a forbidden love affair between his Cambion father (half-demon/half-human) & Nephilim mother (half-angel/half-human).
He is the one supernatural being to absolutely not FUCK with!
He could be like the Shadow (you know, Shadow the Hedgehog) of Helluva Boss with looks of a BADASS anime-style man!
The best voice actor for this role, & to join the HB cast should be Jonah Scott, who's best-known/iconic role is Legosi of Beastars.
Imagine Loona ends up getting herself deeply involved with this guy, & as the duo grow on each other as allies & close friends who will actually help each other evolve as people for their character development, they will feel a strong connection to each other that could possibly lead to you know what to happen in S4 aka Final Season!
& His name: Xol (like Sol meaning the SUN)
🤍🌙🐺👨🏻☀🖤

okay so regarding the Great Quiet Thing. I was reading through your big post to get caught up on all the Saint stuff (I was around for Curse but played very little, wasn't around for Dawn) and when you got to the Sundial section it clicked for me - I agree it's pretty clear that there's nothing to do with Ahamkara, but I'm not so sure that Worm Gods can be dismissed so easily - as I understand it there are quite a few that we know of but don't know anything about, right? And Xol was able to do... something with the Vex structures on Io? Not sure about the details there but the idea of Worm God + Vex isn't entirely out of nowhere, right? Absolutely no evidence or detailed thought about it but my gut guess is that 1) the sundial core is related to a Worm God if not literally one of them (maybe it's serving a similar role as the worm larvae do in their pact with the hive, feeding Light to its parent worm?) and 2) the Not-Worm in the Vexnet is related to/is that same worm tied to the sundial (or it's just. an echo of Xol or something). Osiris did say after all that his Echoes were more appropriate for Taken Kings, right? He could've chosen any metaphor to say "yeah they're a darkness-based ability" but he went for that.
I thought the same thing, exactly because I mentioned the Worm Gods in that post as an option as well. And the moment I read that in the lore page I was like. Are they going with that then? Because that would definitely fit with what we know about the Sundial core. I'm still not sure if that really needs explaining, but they've mentioned the Sundial again this week and in a very... concerning way.
The Conductor claims, had Osiris not created the Sundial, had I remained forgotten, Sagira would live still. How could these things be connected?
Huh? How indeed. Why would they tell us this?
I always thought that there might be some symbolic "life for a life" cost of the Sundial that somehow related to Sagira's fate, but them bringing it up in this way is... strange. The Conductor could always just be saying this to upset Saint ofc and there doesn't need to be anything truthful about it, but. I am considering it.
The name of it being specifically "Not-Worm" bothers me though because it's almost too on the nose about it not being a worm. Sounds like something a worm would say. But maybe it is just what it says on the tin. The other name also makes me think. "The Great Quiet Thing" reminds me very much of Osiris' way of describing the Lunar Pyramid as: "The Great Angular Thing."
Osiris was no stranger to Hive shenanigans so him somehow having some Worm God parts would not be extraordinary. He literally had a fang of Xivu Arath. Whispering and eating the Light and coming in with some dark bargain all fits here. And if the Conductor isn't lying about the link to Sagira, well, Sagira ultimately died because of the Hive.
This might be some stuff that gets cleared up next week, or it could potentially be the related to Act 3 or more specifically to the exotic mission coming in Act 3.
It might also be entirely unconnected and it's a setup for something going forward, possibly the other two incoming episodes. Some unknown entity lurking in the Vex Network, pretending not to be there and saying it's "too soon" seems like it's possibly just a hint for something later.
But of course, I am going unhinged by the minute. They keep dropping details that are like a few sentences that send me spiralling into madness every few days.
I'm definitely thinking about it.

I was trying to think why Hive stories are always conpelling to me (and probably in general) even though they arent my favorite race and the conclusion I landed on is: The Hive have retained a lot of complexity in their intraspecies dynamics as time went on whereas the other races felt like they got simplified into "the ones that like us vs the ones that dont." For example, every race lost their subfactions (Houses, Broods, Legions, Subtypes) at the start of D2. They all got mushed together into uniform enemies. But the Hive have retained a lot of diversity in D2 in spite of that:
The Grasp of Nokris + Xol on Mars, icy corpses that were resurrected through necromancy again and again.
Hidden Swarm on the Moon during Shadowkeep, with blood red spikes protruding from their body and using the Nightmares as weapons.
Savathuns Brood on Titan and the Dreaming City, always scheming wherever they were told to go.
The Lucent Brood after Savathun got the Light, with the power and independence that comes with being a Lightbearer
Xivu Araths Horde, absorbing Savathuns Brood and the Hidden Swarm upon their arrival in Sol and servicing a god of war.
That's 5 total subfactions compared to the Eliksni's 4 (Dusk, Light, Salvation, Scourge) the Cabals 4 (Red Legion, Imperial Cabal, Loyalists, Shadow Legion) and the Vex's 3 (Sol Collective, Sol Divisive, Nessian Schism).
Now, the subfactions aren't the reason the Hive have complexity, they just feel like an indicator to the complexity the Hive do get in storytelling, especially regarding how they interact via their own internal politics. With each subfaction/brood, there is a clear diversity of thought and core beliefs with recorded instances of those broods clashing. Even now, where most of those broods were subsumed by Xivu and Savathun, they still retain complexity. As Hive Lightbearers still have a sort of independence and Xivu's horde has a massive power vacuum. Alien politics are cool and compelling to me. Shadowkeep was alright but I loved reading about the Hidden Swarm and how Savathun tricked Hashladun and her sisters (i still think about the Pit riot with the 3 Hive siblings often). Stasis was cool but I was more interested in the inner machinations of the House of Salvation and their rise to power. Even in D1, I liked how Skolas rallied Winter but sent assassins after the Devils and delegates to the Kings.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. I just had a personal revelation and wanted to write it down

EMPLOYEE ID 3218-1004-3; 𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅.
𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 Gael Esai Tiul-Xol 𝐀𝐠𝐞 44 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫/𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐬 cis man, he/him 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦 Oscar Isaac 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬 closed
PROFILE.
Dependable and unwavering, [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅]’s recruitment to the Foundation could be considered a “happy accident.” Originally rescued from anomalous location [DATA EXPUNGED] during the initial exploration into SCP-████’s domain, he was initially stated to be terminated at the end of the mission — however, [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅] proved vital in containing the entity responsible for the phenomenon. In order to avoid potentially losing a valuable asset to the Foundation, the Ethics Committee decreed that he would be spared. In the years after this event, [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅] has proven himself to be invaluable and his appointment as the commander of MTF Chi-00 shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. While he surely will be missed in “Law’s Left Hand,” it seemed only right that Themis should be given MTF Omega-1’s best blade. The Ethics Committee is certain that The Broken Scales of Themis will flourish under the steady guidance of this operative. Indeed, there are very few who represent the mission of the Ethics Committee as well as [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅], and even fewer who could say they have sacrificed as much as he has for the success of the Foundation. Though some of the research staff at Site-φ may feel uncomfortable seeing [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅]’s face after the Xerox Revision, we are certain his excellent interpersonal skills will ease any concerns that may arise. — Internal Memo from the Ethics Committee.
LAST ASSIGNMENT.
MTF OMEGA-1; Located and terminated Director [REDACTED], Head Researcher [REDACTED], and General [REDACTED] after a data breach on [DATE REDACTED] was traced back to them. [𝑆𝑀𝑂𝑂𝑇𝐻 𝑂𝑃𝐸𝑅𝐴𝑇𝑂𝑅] was also able to confirm a connection between this breach and Group of Interest, Anderson Robotics.
INTERRELATIONS OF NOTE.
𝑂𝐿𝐷 𝑆𝑃𝑂𝑇. If the Ethics Committee had given you the option to select your teammates, 𝑂𝐿𝐷 𝑆𝑃𝑂𝑅𝑇 would have been at the top of the list. You wouldn’t say you two are anything close to friends — you’re barely acquaintances — but you know enough to admire his track record and diligence. Still, you’re surprised the Foundation willingly sent you their best dog and you’re ill-prepared for the awkwardness of holding his leash. The weirdness will hopefully go away once you’ve gotten to know him better. Hopefully.
𝑉𝐸𝐿𝑉𝐸𝑇 𝐺𝐿𝑂𝑉𝐸. You’ve seen their type before and you’re not impressed. More importantly you refuse to be a stepping stone for anyone more interested in climbing the corporate ladder than staying true to the core values of the Foundation. If the Committee wants you to put 𝑉𝐸𝐿𝑉𝐸𝑇 𝐺𝐿𝑂𝑉𝐸 in their place, they don’t have to ask you twice.
𝐾𝐼𝑁𝐺'𝑆 𝐺𝐴𝑀𝐵𝐼𝑇. There was a second after Site-φ Director Buckley Osterholz handed you 𝐾𝐼𝑁𝐺'𝑆 𝐺𝐴𝑀𝐵𝐼𝑇’s photo where you thought a new kill command had come down directly from the Ethics Committee. You’re not sure if you’re relieved that you were mistaken or are just waiting for the other shoe to drop. You wonder if the feeling is mutual.
𝑅𝐸𝑉𝐸𝑅𝑆𝐸 𝐸𝑁𝐺𝐼𝑁𝐸𝐸𝑅. Another familiar face, but one you’re less uneasy about encountering again. However, you’re certain the same can’t be said for them — because while you haven’t seen them in person since the final development stages of the Xerox Revision, they’ve certainly seen yours enough to be sick of it.

This one is excited to share great news with you, everydrone of everyhive! The joint project of restoring the Hive Ship's wreck to functionality is over. We extend our gracious thanks to the many hives, Coyul comrades, and alien-drone helpers in getting us this far.
By joint agreement of the Brood Court, the main hive contributor to the project and host of only functional space port, the Xav Dynasty, are the ones to be awarded the Hive Ship.
The Xav Queen said their mission is to seek out and find the prophesied world of Avaradas and make a new home for all Aradak who seek it. She has relinquished claims to all territories on Aradas, and all her drones have boarded the vessel. A group of Baetsua monks are coming along, to provide long-distance contact with the Oracle and give guidance in the journey. And a clan of Coyul are also going with the Xav Dynasty, those who impressed the Xav Queen with the war against the Xol raiders.
As for who will inherit the Xav Dynasty's territories... the Brood Court has yet to decide on all the details. But what is known for certain is that Qor-Xavis will be controlled by the Venerable Exiles and become a place for Outcasts to contribute to the collective wellbeing of Aradas as a whole.
Klik, what's that? They're ready? Klik... Now, all the tests have been done and its time for the launch...
3...2...1... Lift off!
It's off! May the Primordials guide your journey and the Broodmother bless your eggs, Xav Queen.

AU where Ikora just adopts the worm familiar
(Note: This post was from this year? Feels like ages I’ve been sitting on this as a fic idea. Overall my popular posts are mostly Destiny-related, which shouldn’t be a surprise. But it’s also a bit weird to see how dusty these posts feel now, how Destiny and Destiny 2 are beginning to feel like something I used to be into. Even some of these posts are themselves nostalgic, like the second one, about long-ago eras of Destiny that still feel much newer and more vibrant to me than anything that came out post-Lightfall.)

copypasted from dms:
act 2, xol is using jack to kill/kidnap people. xol doesnt really have a corporeal form at this point but the more dead people it can eat the stronger it grows. jack’s his hunting dog.
xol “lives” in a city that sank years and years ago and is now in a giant cave underground. its probably something cinder did when dak tried to lock her up
xol and cinder made a deal, if xol breaks her out, she can destroy all of cassandra in one go then go on to try to murder the sun (dak) and xol can accompany her, playing cleanup crew and gaining more and more power by eating everyone she kills
(cinder had 0 intentions of letting xol work with her and fully planned on killing it when it broke her out lmao, but its gullible and power hungry)
anuba only knows what xol is doing with jack and learns about cinder being locked up (but doesnt know who cinder actually is), and figures that she can free cinder on the condition that cinder kills xol (so basically just the first part of cinder’s plan originally). making deals with vengeful gods isnt a good idea but shes desperate
then everything happens, cinder dies, jack dies, xolakaal is both incredibly weakened and more powerful than ever, act 3 begins
so act 3:
people are disappearing and everyone is panicking because holy shit a massive black dragon crawled out of the ground and disappeared somewhere up north now everything is freezing???
xol has a physical form at this point and can attack people on its own, but with dawn wise to its existence thats very dangerous. so it has walter
this is the part ive changed the most i think cuz walter knows whats going on.. to an extent atleast. he knows xol exists, doesnt know what it is but knows that its the reason he keeps fuckin killing people. he tries to live a normal life and hold it back as much as possible because he despises killing for any reason (big part of why he works as a shepherd in the mountains AWAY FROM PEOPLE)
aaaand thats about the extent of everything i have so far. small things might get changed but im (finally) happy with this

i’ve been slowly reading through the lore books and i noticed in eva’s journey the red war is described as being months long. do we have any idea the time frame between the red war and forsaken?
i’ve always kind of assumed it was around a year, but with curse of osiris and warmind also happening after the red war im not so sure now
I'm also not sure. The Red War itself as an event took a while for sure, but it's unclear to me what's the canon amount of time between the Tower falling and Traveler killing Ghaul. Gameplay wise, it doesn't feel like too long, a few days, a week? But then also the way we see the City in the final mission feels like the legion has been there for weeks. I guess months is also possible, though I genuinely don't think it took us months to get Ghaul out. Months for the aftermath for sure, though. Maybe Eva's book was meant to solidify that the whole situation was indeed months long (3 months, from launch to Curse), despite not feeling that way gameplay wise. I'd generally go for what the lore says since gameplay can't really relay this to us properly.
Both Curse and Warmind are after the Red War "ended" (in the sense that it's after we killed Ghaul). I guess the best bet is to use IRL time frame for these; it's usually how it's measured. So a year for Red War stuff (a few months of dealing with the main stuff and the aftermath + Curse + Warmind and everything in between). Technically we could say that everything from Curse and Warmind also falls under the Red War, or at least the aftermath of it. A lot of what was going on there was somehow fuelled by the Red War and we still had various leftover Red Legion enemies to grapple with. Most notably, the reason things with the Infinite Forest and Xol and Nokris on Mars happened was due to the Traveler's awakening. Also don't forget the appearance of Calus and the Leviathan, as well as the Spire of Stars raid lair which featured a boss that took over Red Legion after Ghaul's death. When we killed him (Val Ca'uor), that was the final nail in the coffin for the Red Legion's stability.
We could even extend that all the way to Season of Dawn and ending in Worthy. In Dawn, the Psion sisters loyal to the Red Legion wanted to use the Sundial to find an alternate timeline where Ghaul wins the Red War. When that failed, the remaining sister ended up doing one last yeehaw by attempting to destroy the City by crashing the Almighty (Ghaul's flagship) into it.
Depending on what we use as the true end of the Red War, it could definitely stretch out to months and even years, though the later stuff is definitely not indicative of the events of Forsaken; those happened after Warmind and I'd generally use the IRL time frame and say there's been a year between the Red War and Forsaken. I'm not sure if there's any specific canon proof of it though. If someone remembers any specific line or lore tab that mentions it, please share!
#destiny 2#red war#ask#in true historian fashion we can argue forever about which exact event marks the end of the red war#but i'd definitely go for the length of each expansion#d2 launch - curse = 3 months

Yes, but it might not have been him. I'm not saying that someone framed him because framing a god is stupid af, but maybe they did it to warn him about something.
Aztec gods don't often mingle with humans because of the risk posed if they have children (basically. We can either die upon birth or we're absolutely screwed by aztec supernatural beings), so maybe someone killed your mom to warn him like "hey, don't do this again".
That's just my theory, though. Xol seemed nice so it's kind of unlike him? I would say? I'm not sure. When did you even find the body?

I didn't... I was 3 months old
