Rewatching the Once A Ranger crossover and thinking about how fucking funny the conversations between Adam and Kira were. Because on one end you have Kira, who has only known Tommy as a legendary ranger and her mentor and on the other end you have Adam, someone who went to highschool with this kid and has seen a lot of the stupid shit they have done.

Also Adam was 100% offended to learn Tommy became a Black Ranger because Goddammit Black was supposed to be his thing.

If I had a nickel for every time power rangers reused a sentai's reoccurring/ major villain suit for an unrelated season, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but F's in the Chat for any potential Zyuohger Had being Adapted.

So Im working on a fic where LuPat crosses over with a power rangers season and Originally I was gonna do Beast Morphers because lots of Multiverse shenanigans happen during that season but then my friend suggested Operation Overdrive and now I can't stop laughing at how great the idea is.

Imagine you're Operation Overdrive, already having to deal with 4 fucking evil forces trying to get the jewels of the crown when suddenly three fuckers who can morph show up and just start stealing from every single party involved and you cannot figure out where the hell they came from and what the hell their motivation is and why they are doing what they're doing.

Meanwhile, the Lupins, trapped who the fuck knows where and bored out of their mind decide to just cause problems of purpose.

So last night in a very sleep deprived state I was talking to some friends about my Gokaiger AU where Marvelous and Basco are swapped, and I recently took inspiration from ginkashino's latest sketches to have Joe join Marvelous and Sid join Basco, but this also lead me to the situation of how would the Zangyack still support Marvelous with Joe on his ship and thus lead us to these hilarious conversations over discord:

Anyways in this AU Marvelous has single handedly convinced the Zangyack Generals that his ship is haunted by a very elaborate mannequin displaying his GokaiRed Armor that is constantly flipping them off.

Rewatching Forever Red because I'm putting off rewatching Operation Overdrive for no real reason and here are some things I noticed

Today on: the many AUs my friend and I have developed.

We've been working on a P5 & LuPat AU/Crossover thing where Touma is the P5 protagonist. All of this started when my roommate and I started a playthough of P5R and named the character Touma and realized that it all fit just a little too well. Many ideas have been thrown around but currently we have Keiichiro as the P4 protagonist for some bonus fun and some great conversations.

The DGP is absolutely a reality show but its not a reality show about saving the world, its a reality show about how long it's gonna take for Ace and Michinaga to fucking kiss ft. Neon and Keiwa joining in and surprise it's now a polycule.

I am once again thinking about Power Ranger's Legendary Battle and mainly about the implications of Zeo, Turbo and In Space all being present.

Like, who got cloned? Because the Turbo Team is either Tommy, Kat, Adam and Tayna, who are the Zeo Rangers, or its made up of TJ, Ashley, Carlos and Cassie, who are the In Space Rangers.

So for all 3 teams to be present in full that means someone got cloned but it wasn't Tommy becaues the Red Zeo ranger wasn't in the line up so like-

1.How did you get into toku?

I got into Toku how most kids in the early 2000s got into Toku. Through Power Rangers. I remember watching Power Rangers a lot growing up and because I am normal™ I learned literally everything about Power Rangers, thus discovering Super Sentai and I have been normal about Toku ever since.

9. Favorite theme song?

GO FOR IT! GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO (ToQger's theme song will forever be my favorite and nothing will change that ever)

16. Do you collect any merch?

I do! At this current point in time I have the Gokai Cellular (plus the core 5's ranger keys), The ToQ changer + Right's Ressha, the VS Changer + Kairi and Keiichiro's VS Vehicles, Zox's Geardalinger and a Gokaiger Flag. I am working on getting more ranger keys and Ressha's, and probably the DonBlaster, but that's my collection for now

Sentai Reviews: Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger vs Keisatsu Sentai Patranger

Oh this review is going to be hard to write.

Not because I have anything against this season, actually its the polar opposite. This is one of my all time favorite seasons of Sentai that is definitely up there in terms of seasons I've rewatched the most.

So where do I even begin with a hopefully unbiased review of one of my favorite seasons. Let's see.

I guess it would be best for me to start with the fact that this season does have issues. The biggest and most glaring is how unbalanced the story gets toward the end, favoring the Lupins more than the Pats. There's also the loose thread of them clearly trying to develop some form of bond between Touma and Tsukasa like there is one was Sakuya/Umika and Keiichiro/Kairi, but it was starting too late in the season for that parallel to be there.

Zamigo could have also used more development. For someone who was the big bad for the Lupinrangers, we barely got content with him or seeing him as much of a threat through a majority of the season.

But where LuPat does fall short, I truly believe it makes up for it everywhere else.

First off, the action pieces in this show is some of the best in the series. All fights, both major and minor are shot in such fun and dynamic ways. I adore the Go-Pro footage, especially with the Lupins being a more acrobatic team as to the Pats who are very straight forward. Even the zord fights are dynamic and fun (especially the one in Episode 2. God I wish we had more Lupin v Pat zord fights.)

Also the characters. God does LuPat have such a strong cast of characters. Kairi and Keiichiro are fantastic leads, both compelling and their developing dynamic throughout the whole season really has you believing Keiichiro during their final unmasked conversation before the finale. How the two of them grew and played off each other is one of the best parts of LuPat. Touma and Umika are amazing compliments for Kairi to balance out the Lupin Trio, and their relationship of reluctant partnership to found family is such a fun one to watch Develop throughout the season.

Tsukasa Sakuya and Keiichiro are just a good time whenever they head up an episode, or even the 2nd patran Nigou Special (which I believe should have been a proper episode but it is what it is). Yes they are coworkers but you can tell they are genuinely friends and care deeply for each other.

Noel is such a fun 6th. He plays off both the Lupins and the Pats in such a fun parental kind of way. His introductory scene where he flips around and instantly gets arrested is easily one of my favorites in the show. He is such a complex character and his way to play off both groups and mesh right in so easily just bring me so much joy. I love Noel.

Honestly, I could gush forever about LuPat. It uses its characters to the advantage of the story so well and it doesn't feel like any episode isn't there for a reason. Sure some of them could have been paced better but It's hard for me to absolutely pinpoint an episode that isn't necessary in developing the character's relationships with one another to make the finale work as well as it does. I truly do hope we get more of them in the future, because I would love to see how these teams play off each other post finale.
