So basically, attraction to [gender] without specifying the user's gender, or whether they consider their attraction gay/straight/etc. Anyone of any gender can use these.

I know there are some specific nonbinary orientations (though they are still not as well known / harder to find than man/woman focused orientations), but I didn't know of any in this format. I wanted some matching ones for specific (nonbinary) genders, so here they are :3

(Enba- could be used, if they consider themselves nonbinary, but again, I wanted specific ones too. Also, I use nonbinary as a shorthand, but someone doesn't have to consider themselves nonbinary in addition to the specific labels listed to use these.)

The terms are prefixes, I listed sexual and romantic variants as examples, but they can be used for any attraction type, e.g. alterous, platonic, sensual, aesthetic, tertiary, emotional, physical, etc.

I'm pretty sure the etymology of ma- and woma- is based on man and woman, but without the N. So I followed that idea for my terms, using their respective equivalents to man/woman and removing the N at the end. Specifically, I chose equivalents that would end in A, to match how ma- and woma- end in A.

I couldn't figure out the names for some, and requested those term names from @your-bigender-big-brother (thanks :)

The flags are pretty simple, I just followed the format of the ma- / woma- / enba- flags (five stripes, 4 gradient colours with plain white at the bottom).

The colours are inspired by their common flags.

Specifically though, I use my (alt) abinary, midbinary, atrinary, midtrinary, trinary, and aporagender flags.

And for anga-, to make it more visually distinct from midbinary and binary, I just used shades of purple, instead of the three colours of the original androgyne flag. I did make the purples gradient in hue, so there's bluish purple and pinkish purple, to kind of reference the blue and pink in the original androgyne flag.

Oh and the white of atra- was altered to be lightly yellow, to match how my atrinary flag uses yellow white instead of plain white. It's also a thing I've been doing for many other atrinary related flags. I think it's a cute detail.

I'm not really good at coining terms, so I hope the names are okay, and the flags aren't too generic looking / undistinctive.

Clinohuic

A juvelic (gender-loving-gender) term for xenen who are attracted to genderfluid people. Xenen-Loving-Genderfluid, XLGF, or XLFLUID.

Doesn't have to be exclusive attraction, inclusive of all degrees of xenenhood or adjacent (essentially anyone who calls oneself xenogender), and all genderfluid subterms. Named after the gemstone Clinohumite.

Couldn't find a juvelic term for this, so if there's is one let me know so I can link it, if there is one this could just be an alternative flag/name.

Spotify and Apple Music removed an AI-generated fake song by Drake and The Weeknd

Popular music streaming platforms Spotify and Apple Music have removed a hit song in which an AI imitates the studio voices of Canadian singers Drake and The Weeknd.

The viral song, “Heart On My Sleeve,” is also no longer available on Deezer and Tidal, with TikTok and YouTube also planning to take it down. Before its removal, the hit had been streamed 600,000 times on Spotify and viewed 15 million times on TikTok.

The original version was created by YouTuber user ghostwriter, who trained AI audio models on the two musicians’ voices. The video was viewed 275,000 times before being taken down over copyright issues. A message appearing on the link hosting the video reads: “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Universal Music Group.”

Another YouTuber going by name XENEN has released its own AI-edited mix of the song. In describing the song, XENED wrote on YouTube: “Did what I thought sounded good, ghostwriter’s original is a banger, just wanted to clean it up a bit, all rights reserved to him!”

UMG wants artists to get their compensation

Music hits of both artists are published under Universal Music Group (UMG) through Republic Records. UMG issued a statement saying the use of AI on its artists’ music presents a challenge: “Which side of history all stakeholders in the music ecosystem want to be on: the side of artists, fans and human creative expression, or on the side of deep fakes, fraud and denying artists their due compensation.”

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) warned last October that increasing use of AI to generate music overlooks the violation of copyrights: “That use is unauthorised and infringes our members’ rights.”

This is not the first time Drake is finding himself in a brawl with an AI-generated hit featuring his voice. On April 14, the rapper expressed his displeasure after a video that featured an AI-generated version of his voice rapping on Ice Spice’s Munch circulated on Instagram. “This is the final straw AI,” he wrote in an Instagram post. Drake unfollowed Ice Spice on Instagram. An AI version of his voice was also added to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” and “Don’t” by rapper and songwriter Bryson Tiller.

An initiative to protect musicians from AI clones

The music industry is looking for ways to protect its business from AI. The Human Artistry Campaign launched last month and counts over 40 members, including RIAA, National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), and SoundExchange.

The association published seven core AI principles in support of human creativity. One of the principles reads: “Use of copyrighted works, and use of the voices and likenesses of professional performers, requires authorization, licensing, and compliance with all relevant state and federal laws.” But AI music generation software continues to spread.

The ethics of AI-generated creative work is challenging artists in industry beyond music. German artist Boris Eldagsen refused the prize he won at the Sony World Photography Awards, after revealing that his work was created using AI.

Specific Enboric Terms

Neutren- : feeling attraction specifically to neutral, ningender, and neutral-aligned nbs.

Xenen- : feeling attraction specifically to xenogender, xenic and xeno-aligned nbs.

Multen- : feeling attraction specifically to multigender nbs/those with more than one gender and/or alignment.

Nullen- : feeling attraction specifically to genderless, agender in nature, or null-aligned nbs.

can be used generally as -boric eg. xenenboric, or as a typical orientation prefix, eg. nullensexual.

also, is en- already an orientation prefix? because if not I think being able to specify which attraction/orientation you’re talking about (as opposed to general terms like diamoric or enbian) would make terms like enromantic or ensensual useful. It also doesn’t force the term enby because it can be short for enby or enban, whichever is preferred by the individual. If it’s not taken consider it coined and saved for a flag in the near future along with the rest of these terms.

Gendered Terms Archival

I don't think anyone's actually compiled a list for terms like this yet (if there is one I can't find it) but I feel like compiling a list of gender terms that are equivalents to man/boy and woman/girl. Mostly because I want to coin things but I have no way of searching tags for every single possible post where people have coined terms. (And for as far as I can tell, wikis don't tend to list terms like this.)

Feel free to comment, reblog, or send me asks about established terms I can add. The format of this post will be like as follows. The "example" terms below are terms decently used in the queer community.

Man - Generally used for older male and masculine gender/presenting individuals, but doesn't have to be. The plural form being Men.

Boy - Generally used for younger male and masculine gender/presenting individuals, but doesn't have to be. The plural form being Boys.

Woman - Generally used for older female and feminine gender/presenting individuals, but doesn't have to be. The plural form being Women.

Girl - Generally used for older younger and feminine gender/presenting individuals, but doesn't have to be. The plural form being Girls.

Enban - Generally used as the Nonbinary equivalent to Man/Woman. The plural form being Enben.

Enby - Generally used as the Nonbinary equivalent to Boy/Girl. The plural form being Enbies.

Below are terms that may be less known, or generally specific to certain genders. This section is where I'll add new terms when people tell me them. For terms without a plural form listed, I'd personally just go the adding a S to the end route, example being Xip which doesn't have an "official" plural form, so I'd personally just write Xips.

Tumen - The Altumen equivalent to Man/Woman. The plural form being Tumens.
