Fancy helping me surprise my husband with a fantastic gift?
His XBox One is no longer reading discs. It also likes to randomly disconnect from the internet. The machine is old, and getting it repaired costs more than getting a new one. Thing is, we don't wanna buy a new XBox One when an XBox Series X is available ($500 USD). Series X has a disc drive, Series S does not.
I have the XBox Series X pinned on my Throne wishlist. My hope is, after paying off the medical bills (done) and the Care Credit vet bill ($1300) with quilt sales, I can surprise my husband with an XBox Series X. He can play more of his games and be able to relax...and get Baldur's Gate 3 for XBox because it's something we both wanna play. My PC needs a new graphics card before I can play this game on it, and I haven't the necessary skills (nor money) to install one.
If y'all wanna help me surprise my husband with a gift, you can do so two ways:
Purchase my work and help me pay off the Care Credit bill. I'll be turning the three finished quilt tops into finished quilts over the next three months, then listing them in my shop. Commissions open in March for my members, April for everyone else.
Donate to my Throne crowd funding thing I have pinned on my list. It's specifically for the XBox. Donations to my Ko-Fi go towards the bill goal, not towards the XBox.
My website:
Ideally, I would have the funds by February. February was once the worst months of the year for me. Something traumatizing happened to me, resulting in PTSD and me, more or less, avoiding everyone and everything. That has changed over the last five years, and now it's just another month. It would be nice to celebrate it with a gift for him. Plus, there's the benefit of him being able to play more of his games.
Yes, we each have separate consoles. He also has his own room with his DnD stuff, a sofa, desk, TV, XBox, films, and games. Separate spaces is vital for us, and has made a massive difference.
After he has his gift, and I'm not telling him about this because I wanna make a surprise, I'll focus on putting all my funds towards paying off the new water heater. An XBox Series X for myself is definitely a yes, later in 2024, because I wanna play Baldur's Gate 3. Plus, other new games are coming out that will require a new console. Maybe we'll be able to get the console for my 41st bday in June? We shall see!

“OUR HOMECOMING WILL BE TRULY DIVINE.”
In just over two weeks time we will once again bravely step aboard the USG Ishimura, a vast mining ship with ALL sorts of problems. Those who played Dead Space the first time around will know what’s to come, and those who haven’t but have seen the brand new Launch Trailer above, well, now they know too. Scared? Perhaps. Excited? Most DEFINITELY.
Isaac Clarke’s return for a next-gen sci-fi horror experience is one that’s certainly got us hungry! Although perhaps hungry is the wrong word with the amount of stomach-churning content that’s to come. On a personal level, after playing through The Callisto Protocol over Christmas and delving into the fear factor that only mutated monsters can deliver, I can safely say that I am ready to once again be scared s**tless on 27th January.
When routine repair mission turns into complete nightmare, it’s left to us to unravel a thrilling mystery in the darkest depths of space... Like what did the Ishimura crew discover in the darkness? What happened to them? And what does this mean for the future of mankind itself?
“There’s still a way out for us... but we don’t have much time.”
Speaking of time, your window of opportunity to pre-order is closing by the day! Improvise to survive and secure your copy on PS5 & Xbox Series X, right here at The Game Collection!

Xbox Series X/S Repair Service
We are currently offering a variety of different Xbox Series X HDMI repair consoles. These are the new generation Xbox systems from Microsoft and some parts are still scarce. The SSDs are not yet available as of (June 2022) and only donors are accepted. OEM Factory HDMI ports are available for both series s and x. We have the power connector and HDMI chips available as well.
HDMI Port
The HDMI port on this system is strong. and it takes lots of force to break it. However, HDMI ports are known to break for different devices and we have you covered. Brand new OEM factory HDMI ports are in stock and ar replaced the same day within 30 minutes!
Need Xbox Series X repair? We've got you covered.
No Power
This is a common issue with any electronic device. And this can happen due to many different reasons. We will diagnose and Repair no power issues!
Broken Nexus connector
This connector is commonly broken due to DIY attempts at cleaning or simply disassembly. The issue here is that it is near another connector that needs to be pried, and some try to pry or pull this one too. We replace the broken Nexus connector with an OEM one.
Could be caused by a few things. and when it comes to series x. the SSD is soldered on. so that will be a hard-to-test item when the SSD fails! The HDMI port can be broken and in some cases issues on the signaling circuit of the motherboard.
earlier in 2020 we released this article:
The long-anticipated Scarlett, series X version of the Xbox System from Microsoft is going to be released in 3rd quarter of 2020, just like its rival the Sony PS5, this system is going to hit the market in time for the holidays. It is going to be jam-packed with features. able to play native 4k at 30+ FPS on all games. Most games will see 60 fps and we are anticipating that the Nvidia die in the core will be amazing in terms of teraflops, and quality. Forget about gaming lags, slow speeds, and other issues you might see with today’s consoles. The Scarlett is going to ship with SSD drives which means fewer storage issues. and better performance.
For seen Issue with the Xbox 2 (Scarlett) – Series X
Here is what we think is going to be the major problem with the Xbox Two. First and foremost, every device today suffers from the dreaded BGA issues. which causes the mega chips to disconnect from the board. Just like the Red rings of the death of the Xbox 360 model and the sudden death of the Xbox One model, we know for a fact that the Xbox Two will have some sort of error relating to the disconnection of the APU from the motherboard. This is preventable however but not 100%. All electronic devices suffer from BGA problems.
Secondly, for the Blu-ray, we all have CD drives that will get stuck in other systems, and since this entire piece of the console is mechanical, mechanical issues will occur. from not reading discs to not being able to insert or eject them. It is a common issue we will have to live with for now until the systems get more digitized.
The third most anticipated issue is overheating! and that is your fault, not Microsoft’s, .. HAHA, get your system regularly cleaned and re-thermal pasted. and you shouldn’t have an issue. It is like having worn-out brake pads you must get them serviced. If you do not go for a cleaning you will suffer from the Red rings of death mush soon, a White dot of death, or whatever color the LED will be in the new Xbox 2 Scarlett edition.
Prevention
It is hard to prevent all issues, but keep the system in a cool area, not directly on the AC! or else you will get water damage! You need to be moderate. The CPU is designed to run at 85 degrees C… So the heat sink should be around 60-80, if it rises above 90 the fan speed starts to kick in, and you might lose a fan or so. But keep in mind regular cleanings are what keeps your system cool.
Do not eat near or around your console. organic matter will ruin the system, Do not smoke on the console, years of smoking messes up the rubbers in the Blu-ray and many mechanical components.
Use a surge protector! I can not stress this enough. On your TV and your console. Yes, your TV can surge into your system. and mess up your signaling chips!
Repair & Maintenance
Here at TDR, we will be repairing all of the issues that you will encounter with the Xbox Two Scarlett edition. As we have proven our quality and service with the Xbox One Project Scorpio, we assure you that we will be here when your next-generation Xbox Two system breaks. If you break it we will fix it!
The main issues are the same, however, the symptoms will vary! Leave it to the experts to diagnose and repair. We as always Diagnose for FREE! You pay shipping and handling

War Hospital Review Cons: - Cannot rebind or tweak any controls. - Only the one-game mode. - Small game text and no options to change it. - So much to take in. - The tutorial prompts are very pushy and if you don't do as instructed quickly enough then they keep banging up on the screen. - Slow burner. - There is a lot of menu juggling and remembering what goes where to do this and that. - Individual personnel management is not always easy or particularly quick. - Even after the lengthy tutorials, you still get lost or confused by it all especially noises, alerts, and icons. - There are no difficulty options or game settings to help break you in or make it a bit more manageable. The company’s latest financial report reveals that Tears of the Kingdom sold 18.51 million units from its release to June 30. This led to Nintendo having the highest “global sell-through of first-party” for a first quarter since the launch of the Switch. Xbox Repair: Tips and Solutions for Common Issues
Introduction
Gaming has become an integral part of our lives, and the Xbox has been at the forefront of providing an exceptional gaming experience for gamers worldwide. However, like any electronic device, Xbox consoles are susceptible to malfunctions and technical issues. Nothing is more frustrating than encountering a problem right in the middle of an intense gaming session. Fear not, though, as this blog will guide you through some common Xbox repair issues and offer effective solutions to get you back in the game.
1. Overheating and Ventilation
One of the most prevalent issues Xbox users encounter is overheating. Over time, dust and debris can accumulate in the console's vents, obstructing proper airflow and leading to overheating. This can result in the console shutting down unexpectedly or displaying error messages.
Solution: Regularly clean the vents and keep the Xbox in a well-ventilated area. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces or on surfaces that retain heat. If overheating persists, consider using an external cooling fan or contacting a professional repair service.
2. Disc Reading Errors
Is your Xbox struggling to read game discs, or do you encounter frequent disc read errors? This problem can be particularly frustrating, especially when you're excited to play a new game.
Solution: Firstly, ensure that the disc itself is clean and scratch-free. If the problem persists, the issue might be with the console's optical drive. Try a few different discs to confirm if the problem is widespread. If it is, contact Xbox support or a certified repair center to assess and repair the optical drive.
3. Red Ring of Death (RROD)
The infamous Red Ring of Death is characterized by three or four red lights glowing around the power button. This indicates a hardware failure, often related to overheating or faulty components.
Solution: If your Xbox is under warranty, contact Microsoft support immediately or Myrepairing. They might repair or replace the console free of charge. If not, there are some temporary fixes suggested online, but these might not be reliable. The best option is to seek professional repair services, as they can diagnose the root cause and perform a lasting fix.
4. Controller Connectivity Issues
A controller that fails to connect to your Xbox can severely hinder your gaming experience. Signal interference and low battery levels are common culprits behind this problem.
Solution: Ensure that the controller is charged and try reconnecting it using a USB cable. If connectivity issues persist, reset the controller by holding the sync button for a few seconds. Additionally, check for potential interference from other wireless devices and move them away from your Xbox.
5. System Update Errors
Updating your Xbox is essential to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. However, sometimes these updates can encounter errors, leading to frustration.
Solution: Before updating, make sure your internet connection is stable. If the update fails, try restarting your Xbox and attempting the update again. If the problem persists, visit the Xbox support website for guidance on manually updating your console or contact their support team for assistance.
Conclusion
While encountering issues with your Xbox can be frustrating, it's essential to approach them with patience and knowledge. The solutions mentioned in this blog should help you address common problems effectively. Remember, if a problem seems too complex or risky to handle yourself, it's best to seek professional repair services or contact Microsoft's support team for expert assistance. With the right approach, you'll be back to enjoying your favorite games in no time. Happy gaming!
