My question is a simple one, despite all the odd time discrepancies and timelines meeting in these events. Was this Vector Prime truly you? Or, was this a variant of you, wishing to help try and stabilize things?

Dear Earth Warrior,

The instance of myself that is currently caught up in the Earth Wars, as you speak of, certainly has his work cut out for him. With so many Primes running around, why, one could found a new Cybertronian society! Luckily, Rhisling grants him the ability to open a Portal, unleashing three Vector Primes from other universes with 35.0% of his Health and DPS—and recently, I myself have heeded the call, joining my temporally-displaced counterparts! We jump between buildings up to three times, dealing damage and applying acid for x4 DPS over six seconds. Enemies in range of the Portal are slowed by 30.0%.

With Autobot bases on Earth under continual threat from the Decepticons, and the Time Vortex now ripping through that reality, I take your summons very seriously. That said, I have noticed that most of the battles I am called to fight in are less concerned with the defense of the timeline, and more with the seizure of resources such as Energon, Alloy, or Crystals to power the Space Bridge for reinforcements. Please be mindful that the more time I spend assisting in battles, the less time I have for answering your questions.

idol! idol! idol au part two!

let’s actually discuss the jw scandal, since everyone was curious (✯ᴗ✯)

in the original tgcf, we know that one of the main ways jw manipulated/tortured xie lian was through isolation! the xianle war being a indirect factor into making mq leave, and fx being forced to leave by xl because he was in such a bad state mentally due to the hallucinations. hc has to leave, too, because he was but a mere ghost flame. in those weakest times, was when xie lian truly lost his sanity, was tortured beyond belief. and that’s the sort of route i want to take with this au.

let’s reiterate: on the survival show, because the unfolding of events there is super important. mu qing being brought back was a great decision for most, but for some toxic ot3 stans, he becomes their punching bag. to isolate xie lian, jw takes the first step: getting the other members out of the picture! and with his ceo fingers, he strings together a bullying scandal.

if you don’t follow kpop or other idol industries, a bullying scandal is basically your reputation in the mud. bullying scandals have ruined so many idols’ lives, especially the false ones. dispatch, paparazzi, will post whatever clout they have, and netizens will devour it, and proceed to harass said idol. to create a false scandal would mean that jw has guaranteed mq’s exit ticket, because him staying in the group would affect their reputation. remember the shackle on mq’s wrist? yeah, with a few threats to the other member’s safety, jw manages to make mq leave the group. 

and just like in tgcf, mq soon becomes hated by the other 3 members, because yeah, the scandal, proof, and fabricated texts looked legit. and finding a lawyer…was tough. soon, mq’s insta is gone, and any support for him (except for a few of his genuine stans) is wiped off the timeline. all we see is #justiceforx3 and #kickmqout trending. 

following the canon order, feng xin is next. another toxic part of idol culture is diets. and my headstrong belief is that feng xin would say “fuck you” to the diets and build his muscle his way. (diets can be interpreted as the cultivation method xl+mq were on, too.) when jw threatens him, and forces a same fate on feng xin, feng xin realizes he must leave: to make sure he can still stay in contact with xl, redeem himself and talk to mq, and file a fucking lawsuit. because no way in hell is fx letting jw off the hook. i haven’t developed this part yet, but thinking about fx hinting at hc about how something is wrong, and hc catching on to jw’s sus behaviour. 

x4 is no more. jw has almost succeeded. the only thing blocking his way? gege’s #1 believer, hua cheng. threats don’t work on this guy. hc alerts xl, who isn’t stupid, guys. he pretends to play along, but is really secretly recording all these conversations as proof to present in court. 

meanwhile, fx meets with a solemn mq, who refuses to talk to him, or do anything idol related. he finds that mq’s mom died, which put him in an even worse situation. like every post-canon tongulu fix-it, fx slowly realizes his mistakes, but mq also realizes his lack of communication. a slow romance is perhaps in the works, but the more important part? saving xl. once mq is let in on the plan, he reveals every small detail he’s collected, from evidence proving him innocent, and snippets of conversations he recorded, to strict, unfair, diets. 

and just as xl is about to finalize the details of his solo contract, hc whisks him away (with full consent). A very controversial figure has sent some data to dispatch, and the shit has hit the fan, because suddenly the mq stans are out of hiding, with full reciepts. a once-in-a-lifetime event occurs, where fxmq stans bond together to make threads upon threads of mistreatment. oddly anonymous accounts leak texts, voice snippets, and other proof of fake bullying scandals and the general mistreatment x4 has faced: whether it be line distributions, restrictions, or other things. it is a chaos. bad for jw, but just amazing for x4.

jw is arrested, held at trial where he pleads guilty. jail, jail. #weloveyoumq, #weloveyoufx, #weloveyouxl, #weloveyouhc are the top 4 trending tags. #foureverswithx4 is everywhere. x4 mends their relationship tentatively, they reopen their social media, and sign contracts under YH entertainment, the same producer on their survival show, Yushi Huang’s company.

Bob's Endings - Class of 31 AU

(theres art here I swear dont leave) Alright quick explanation: The class of 31 au doesn't have a cohesive timeline. It has multiple endings and possibilities depending on the characters choices. There are technically 6 endings (out of 12 currently, though I do plan to write more!) involving Bob:

Hi! I was wondering how you get such high quality gifs? Do you have Topaz or maybe sharpen in Premiere/After Effects? I’m new to making gifs; I’ve been exporting 1080p clips from Final Cut and recoloring + turning into gifs in Photoshop at the 540p width for tumblr. The results are passable but nowhere near the quality you’re producing. Even exporting 1080p gifs for Reddit, while lovely, don’t compare. Yours must be 4k or even 8k. If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to know your process!

I don't do anything special with mine, I just use the same files that are in 1080p. I do have an upscaler but that can only upscale any photo to x4 the size. I think I can probably upscale gifs, but I'd have to manually upscale every frame and then make the gif in Photoshop, but ngl.... I'm a lazy gifmaker hahahaha.

My sharpening process is very simple. I only use Photoshop in making gifs. I've pretty much used this process in all types of media/fandoms (Anime, dramas, tv shows, kpop, etc.) Feel free to experiment on your style as it varies with everyone else. You can find the full tutorial under the cut.

I use the timeline method in Photoshop to make my gifs. Here is a tutorial that's a bit similar to how I make gifs. For Arcane, the frame speed I use is either 0.04 or 0.05.

I've based my sharpening process on a tumblr tutorial years ago by another blogger but I can't seem to find their blog post :(((( if anyone knows it, please let me know!

My sharpening process are as follows:

First, I duplicate the base gif in photoshop

So now, I have 2 copies of the gif. Then, I'll be sharpening the duplicate layer, so go to Filter -> Sharpen -> Smart Sharpen

Here are the settings I use to sharpen gifs:

Click okay, then you will see this under your layers

Some people stop there and then color their gifs, but I prefer to add another layer of Gaussian Blur to make the gif less noisy.

Here are my gaussian blue settings:

Click okay, then your duplicated layer will look like this:

Next, make your layer opacity to 80%.

Then, double click the right adjust icon on the gaussian blur settings

Set the opacity to 20%, but you can adjust as needed.

And you're done sharpening the gif! You can color and add PSDs to it right after. As always, dark scenes are going to be difficult to sharpen and color, so try to experiment and tinker around.

To increase the efficiency and accountability of our workforce, I intend to ensure the Department of Veterans Affairs is in full compliance with President Trump’s January 20, 2025, memorandum, Return to In-Person Work, which states:

Heads of all departments and agencies in the executive branch of Government shall, as soon as practicable, take all necessary steps to terminate remote work arrangements and require employees to return to work in-person at their respective duty stations on a full-time basis, provided that the department and agency heads shall make exemptions they deem necessary.

This memorandum shall be implemented consistent with applicable law.

To take these steps, I will provide more detailed guidance for managers and supervisors in the coming days, including on exemptions.

I appreciate your support in this effort and your continuing focus on service to Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.

This one may take some background to explain why those in my department and team reacted so negatively to it.

For those that have been watching and reading the news, it’s not a surprise that a mandate to go full time in office is would come through. Elon and those in the DOGE said they would.

I cannot speak personally to the narrative of other sections of the federal workforce. I haven’t worked in those. We have heard, just like they mention in the news, that other systems have empty buildings sitting around with everyone working fully remote. That is not the case for the VA.

I am hybrid remote. My agreement is “AD HOC”, or “as needed” for remote work. My whole team is. My job requires me to work directly in the primary care clinics at the VA for various psychosocial problems veterans could be facing. I work directly with the primary care providers and RNs. And a chronic issue has always been space.

In my position I do not have the recommended space to do my position. We do not have enough desks for our staff to be on site and we do not have the “consult” rooms (where we can meet veterans for walk ins) for our service either. Other discipline, such as nutritionists, mental health providers, pharmacists, and others, are all taking turns for the limited rooms and space we are allowed to take. I often see my veterans in rooms I beg for from RNs and PCPs, even though veterans are uncomfortable meeting me in an exam room, I try to make it work.

Working remotely is the only way we get our work done. I can make calls one after the other in my home office in ways that don’t put HIPAA and privacy at risk, and I don’t have to worry about taking turns with several other workers (for calls that can last 30+ minutes at times).

Forcing us back into the office would do exactly what Elon and his colleagues predicted: we would quit. It is not because we are not adaptable and “hate to be inconvenienced”. It’s because we physically couldn’t do our jobs effectively.

Our team is already doing more than double the work (more like x4 for some) recommended in our handbook. We are fighting to make sure that any and all requests for our veterans can be done within a 7 day timeline. But this would be the straw for many of us.

The solution for us to be in office full time would be to give us the space to do so. But this is not feasible. Getting new spaces approved takes (literal) years. I wish I was joking. And we also do not have the budget for it, as we have been told time and time again.

My discipline is important, but any additional space to see patients in person would HAVE to go to RNs and PCPs and specialties. I want it to.

Remote work is not laziness. Studies show how productive people can be when in an environment without distractions of the office. I know I personally get much more work done when I’m home and able to set up my focus.

This mandate shook our whole service. Even as I write this, we still have not been mandated to return to office, as it’s logistically not possible. We receive daily updates telling us that “more news will be coming soon”.

V-bomb count: 23 overall, 11 this season so far, including a whopping four separate instances in "Due verità e una bugia" (Shauna->Tai and Mari x4 (@stracciatellino: "VAFFA COMBO!") in one of the fights about what to do with il cadavere di Jeckie in 2x02; Jeff->Kevyn and one other in 2x03 that's slipping my mind right now; Lottie->her situation in 2x04; Misty->Crystal (possibly somewhat unidiomatically?) in That moment in 2x05; Shauna->Tai again for halfheartedly defending Lottie on the "OUR baby" stuff in 2x05; Van->Tai arguing in the adult timeline in 2x05; Nat->Travis in the Lottie-Nat-Travis therapy/vision/memory/flashback scene in 2x05).

Italian Shauna sure tells Italian Tai to take it up the ass a lot. Interesting. Seems homosexual, doesn't it?

Posing Jackie's body "com'una cazzo di bambola" is a really interesting callback to Jackie's "babezzzz" line becoming "bamboleeee" back in "Condanna party".

Karakal (Chronicles: The Lost Page)

A creature also known as the "paradox beast" that emerged from another dimension in order to cause havoc across the timestream. It was summoned by Nyako, embodiment of primordial chaos, to destroy the Satori Family Line and send the timeline into eternal darkness. In intervention, the seraphim Kairos, guardian of time, emerged to grand his blessing to Treck Satori, ancestor of Koros Satori, in order to defeat the paradox beast and save the timeline.

Karakal is the final boss of the game "Chronicles: The Lost Page", a spin-off of the Chronicles of Chronicles series set 980 years before Chronicles Meteorfall and 15 years after Chronicles Calamity. It was the first game in the series finished and released in a completed state. TLP went through many different, vastly different versions through it's development. Originally in the 1.0 release, Treck was the ONLY party member, leading to incredibly difficult gameplay especially for the bosses. Most of the armors and weapons and many of the maps including the entire western area of the desert weren't even made yet! 1.1 was mainly just bugfixes and some dialogue changes, while 1.2 was a SIGNIFICANT update added in Izzy, Treck's companion, as a second party member straight from the bat as well as a secret third party member with Vivian. It also added in a huge amount of new weapons and armors for the new members as well as many new areas including Uran Oasis, Desert of Desolation - West, and "Skull Cavern" an optional dungeon. Version 1.3 drastically rebalanced the game on a massive scale while fixing some bugs present in 1.2, and Version 1.4 was yet another rework, specifically for the final boss Karakal who was made more difficult with brand-new moves and a new custom-made design. 1.5 was the next update which fixed a large slew of spelling and grammar errors, and updated Karakal's design once more to what you see now with shading and eye lasers created using visual effects. 1.6, the absolute FINAL update, is planned in the near future which will fix the last few bugs, change some dialogue, change enemy placement, rework the Chimera Den dungeon, add in new equipment, and add in a new post-game bonus dungeon along with its new superboss.

To properly fight Karakal you must have the "Kairos Ring" equipped to Treck before engaging Karakal in battle. Otherwise, Treck will become petrified at the beginning of the fight, and you will be locked into the bad ending, kicking you back in time to the moment you last entered the final dungeon. To obtain the Crystal Ring, you must help the old lady after she gets kidnapped by the Chimera Ants, which requires you to head north off the beaten path into the semi-optional (not really) Chimera Den mini-dungeon.

In battle Karakal uses various arts representative of his different colored eyes. These include "Violet Gravitron", "Flood Ray", "Empty Rosae", "Orche Curse", "Verdant Force", and "Amber Emperor". He can also use "Destruction Ray" and "Crawling Curaka" under certain conditions. Here's what each of these arts do.

Violet Gravitron: Deal gravity damage to all foes equal to 25% of their current HP.

Flood Ray: Deal severe water damage to one foe x4. Empty Rosae: Deal severe dark damage to all foes while lowering their BP by one. 10% dread chance.

Orchre Curse: Lower all stats for all foes.

Verdant Force: Deal severe force damage to all foes x2. 100% poison chance.

Amber Emperor: Raise all stats for the user.

Destruction Ray: Deal colossal almighty damage to all foes. Damage blocked by guard.

Crawling Curaka: Heals 9999 HP for the user.

Karakal will only use Destruction Ray every 5 turns, and he will only use Crawling Curaka while on the bad ending route. (in order to prevent you from killing him before you die due to petrify) Karakal will always use "The Eye Consumes" at the beginning of Turn 1 to attempt to inflict petrify on Treck. If he succeeds due to the Kairos Ring not being equipped, you are locked into the bad ending.

X-Whips(Battle Network AU) NetNavis 2/2

Ever since the MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection came out and I've been playing it, I've had NetNavis on the brain, so I decided to try reinterpreting some MegaMan characters from across the Robotics timeline(Classic->X->Zero->ZX->Legends) into NetNavis for the X-Whips.

1. Dragoon.EXE, based on Magma Dragoon from MegaMan X4 + Dragoon.EXE - Dino Soul. Dino Double Soul armor inspired by Burn Dinorex from MegaMan X5.

2. MakoDuff.EXE, based on Tidal Whale/Tidal Makoeen/Duff McWhalen from MegaMan X5.

3. Salacia.EXE, based on the Stardroid Neptune from RockMan World V/Mega Man V for Game Boy.

I haven't been active in the Megaman fandom for a long time now, but I do still think about it every now and then. And today, the Wheel of Random Topics landed on "rejig that timeline".

Short version: Megaman-the-franchise kinda strains under its own weight. Each series is meant to lead into the next, but they're also all meant to be self-standing for the most part; the strength of the connective tissue varies, especially when 99% of the cast doesn't carry over. For this thought experiment, we're chopping the timeline into thirds.

(I don't know how far I'm going to get into everything I'd change, but given infinite time and energy, it would be A Lot[TM].)

Classic -> X -> diverging after Command Mission. Shorten the gap between Classic and X to three decades (as it used to be believed in the early days of the fandom) and let the robots continue to have a presence.

I never liked how either series handled the issue of free will in synthetic life (especially not That Fucking Cutscene in MM9), so ideally the focus would be more on how robots were always built for some sort of purpose and treated as property despite their obvious sentience, while Reploids are ostensibly free of that but are ultimately still regarded as disposable tools. And it's less that robots "lack free will"; they're emotionally bound to their creator and purpose in ways Reploids aren't, but can potentially grow past this.

(Oh, and Iris survives. Just rewrite X4 entirely to confront that Repliforce was always a ticking time bomb.)

ZERO -> ZX. More of a broad-strokes alternate scenario. This Zero is literally "Megaman Zero", not necessarily the Zero we know from X. Lean into the fact that the protagonist and initial villain are copies of other people for some identity horror, maybe. Humanity gradually takes on a new form as it rises from the ashes of MMZ1.

Admittedly: as much as I love the art styles of both series, they just don't feel like a natural evolution of X or that they could lead into Legends. Putting them in their own corner alleviates this.

Legends stands alone. Self-explanatory.

I love Legends, but I think I'd love it more if it didn't induce existential dread wrt: every MM series that came before it inevitably facing Deluge II: Electric Boogaloo.

Would this solve every problem that the timeline developed? I'unno, but hopefully it'd be a start.

So in “Father of the Bridlewood”, we learn that there’s an elderly pony in Bridlewood, Elder Flower, who knows a bunch of history. And when Zipp and Sunny take her into the city to try to get some information out of her, she mentions Rarity’s Carousel Boutique having been popular when she was younger (and apparently people still wear Rarity’s clothes, bc they’re “vintage” now 🥺), she picks out a pair of “classic hip sunglasses” that are Vinyl Scratch’s, and, most confusingly of all, she says she “went to a sparkly wedding once, where the guests all kept changing shape”. Obviously referring to the Royal Canterlot Wedding that the changelings crashed. So she was AT Cadance and Shining Armor’s wedding. Meaning that this now indicates there are still LIVING PONIES who remember when ponies lived together, the Mane Six, the elements of harmony, etc… and yet society seemed to have total collective amnesia about it??

This also implies Twilight basically speedran tearing Equestria apart and destroying the harmony that had presided over ponykind for untold thousands of years. They are saying she fucked up so badly that in the span of LESS THAN A SINGLE mortal lifetime, EVERYTHING went to shit and nobody even REMEMBERED what it was like a few decades before.

Elder Flower also says Moondancer (!!!) was her Great Great Great Great (a bunch of greats, I forget exactly how many) grandmother… meaning that somehow she was at the royal wedding while her great x4+ grandmother was alive?? Hello??
