Not sure why Nightcrawler didn't show up in X3, but now that you point it out I'm kinda glad the 'smile moar' thing with Storm didn't seem to pop up again.

Oddly enough, they do explain where Nightcrawler went....

...in a cheaply made tie-in video game that no one played. X-Men: The Official Game takes place between X2 and X3, with players alternating between Wolverine, Iceman, and Nightcrawler.

The game reveals Jason and Deathstrike to both be alive and building Sentinels, while also roping in Hydra and the Silver Samurai. It also brings back Sabretooth so he can have a more dignified death than just falling on a boat.

At the end of the game, Nightcrawler formally leaves the X-Men because their lives are too violent for a man of peace like him. He and Xavier part on amicable terms and that's that.

It was written by the guy who penned Last Stand as well as Chris Claremont, the author of the Dark Phoenix Saga that Last Stand would adapt. It was also timed to release one week prior to Last Stand, so you can tell they wanted it to be a part of the Last Stand experience, so to speak.

But it was also a janky piece of shit made on a $5 budget released into a market oversaturated with cheap, janky tie-in video games to big movies. So it's kinda like if Marvel Puzzle Quest was canon to Avengers: Endgame.

I finally got around to draw some Poolverine! Or Deadclaws. Which ever you prefer haha.

I absolutely LOVED Deadpool and Wolverine! It was by far one of my favourite cinema experiences. The humor was impeccable and the fight scenes were so fun! And like the honda odyssey scene was just so queer coded! I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

I have seen a lot of really cool art in the fandom and I wanted to contribute! So I give you some soft Poolverine.

(And yes I am aware that Logan is like 300 pounds, but I'd like to think he is like an extremely heavy weighted blanket haha)
