Some rules:

I'm 30+ working full time and being a full time single parent. I am constantly stressed and I just want to write to have fun and unload my stress. I was going to do a fancy google docs for my muses, but it just didn't work out. But short and sweet:

Be 21+ to interact. Just have fun. I love MxM ships, they're my comfort ships. I ship all my peeps with chemistry and the whole purpose for plots is to end up shipping romantically. If you're not cool with that, no worries I won't force you. I'm just a huge shipwhore.

My writing will involve dark themes - please be wary of that. I don't tag anything either so im sorry. Again, I just want to have fun. Writing is supposed to be for fun. I hope we get to write/plot/brainstorm.

Powerful Warlock The last Dragonlord **Because he's immortal, I can fit him into any verse. In modern times, I have it that he's a professor teaching History. I am so prepared for reincarnation plots, or even normal professor x student plots if you're into that trope.

Known as 'Captain Hook' in all the fairy tales. Wasn't born a villain. Abandoned by both his parents. Hell bent on revenge for 200 years and because of that magic, he has kept his youthful appearance.

He'd fit into any verse, be it modern or fantasy. He's a pirate from a fairy tale.

Leopold Fitz - 35 - Bisexual - Verse dependent

-Smartest man ever. Or at least on AoS. -Genius engineer, part of S.H.I.E.L.D. at the Sci-Tech department. -Sarcasm and wit makes up for the lack of muscles, but he's a fighter and will fight to protect his friends and family. Had an abusive dad and a mother who wasn't always there. Grew up to be one of the brightest minds.

Can fit into any fandom - supernatural or normal.

James Beaufort - 23 - Pansexual - Verse dependent

Trust fund baby with a bit of arrogance. However it only comes from the fact that he hides the abuse he endures from his father.

sports and partying, a way he tends to spend his time when he doesn't want to be home.

Nothing that money can't buy; He's a smartass, but once you get through that exterior of arrogance and narcissim, you'll see he's just a kid trying not to anger daddy who will hurt his mother as a way to hurt him.

Wynonna Earp - 40 - Pansexual - Hunter- Verse dependent

Literally the female version of Dean Winchester. Except she protects the Ghost Triangle which she calls home from all Supernatural beings. Has a child, who she had to give away to protect her from the Earp curse. Stays behind to help the sheriff protect her home. loves and cares for her sister dearly, and truly just needs a happy ending for herself but she believes she doesn't deserve it.

Supernatural plots for sure !

Dean Winchester - 40- homosexual - Hunter - Verse dependent.

The ending we all saw didn't happen. Dean and Sam grow up to be old and continue hunting with Castiel as their guardian angel. However, in my verses, he's alive and doing well. Just like wynonna earp, his job is to protect people he cares about and write his own damn ending. Not the one that was written for him.

Supernatural plots for sure, crossover with everyone as long as he gets to be his pie-lovin' monster killin, sarcastic, witty self.

Judith Grimes - 18 - IMPORTANT - she is too young for anything NSFW however I chose to write her simply because I wanted the Grimes family legend to go on. Warrior, fighter, kick ass walker hunter out there to save the world. Verse dependent, will need heavy plotting if things were to get serious in a romantic type of way. Simply bc this teenage girl is out there trying to live as opposed to finding love. So plotting is a must!

Rhiannon Lewis - 28 - Pansexual - contemplating using her or Olivia Cooke-

Sweet serial killer. That's it. That's the plot. I love all the slasher writers coming around. We can do so much murder-esque writing. But I'd love to do something cannon. Someone be AJ to my Rhiannon?

Quiet, shy, but very hard working. Teaches History, loves history, basically a history nerd. Which is why it can open up possibilities to supernatural plots or just rom-com plots.

Hard working, grew up to provide, but he's always been empty. Very old school and traditional, but that's because he has never found a reason to break the rules.

I'm thinking a tragic trope for him, being a closeted gay who could never fight for the man he loved so he ended up marrying the woman his parents chose. Had 2 children with her, and yet he's never been at peace. He's also my oldest muse if you were interested.

Troublemaker. Gotten arrested a few times. Loves chaos, probably lands in trouble a lot but that's because he never had a secure homelife. parents were always gone and out of the picture so he had free reign to everything. Probably the type to join protests because he knows he'd get away with it. Freedom fighter for the under privileged which is ironic since he comes from a big family.

He'd be a fun muse. Any trope would do.

Manipulative little shit that causes too much mischief. The typical bad boy, wants things his way or no way. Overly confident, and thinks he's the best.

last song: had to check my youtube history because i rarely listen to music and apparently it was precious by depeche mode on July 12th, lol. it's the soundtrack at the end of bones 1x10 and rewatching the episode always makes me want to listen to the song again.

currently watching: of the shows that are still on right now, only what we do in the shadows. (i think how i met your father s2 officially ended, i mean to pick nancy drew back up but i don't remember where in s3 I fell behind) but i'm in a perpetual process of rewatching/watching so many things, just since the beginning of the summer i've rewatched s3-5 of community, the entirety of black books, went back to white collar which i had abandoned after s2 and watched s3-4 in full before getting distracted, i am also in a neverending rewatch of castle and bones that's been going on since like 2016. earlier this year i was rewatching rizzoli&isles, warehouse 13, grimm, etc. did not finish them all. i jump around a lot depending on my mood. also mean to get back to my lucifer and wynonna earp rewatch at some point. i very rare finish shows and then i get back and have to start from the beginning and then i don't finish anyway, it's a vicious circle, i don't like saying goodbye. also i have no attention span. i guess technically i am also in the process of watching hawaii five-0 but i haven't watched any new (for me) episodes in a loooong time because canon is such a drag compared to the happy au land i've been living in. i do also watch some shows that are on hiatus right now but i probably wouldn't even remember them all. i only remember when they come back. suffice to say i watch a lot of tv lol.

currently reading: embarrassingly, nothing. only stuff that comes up on my tumblr dash 🤷🏻‍♀️. i haven't even read fanfic since ao3 was blocked in my country in april of this year. because of how my brain works if you add an extra step to something i am used to doing (aka i have to turn on vpn to open ao3 links) i am just that much less likely to do it. i miss losing myself in a book but my brain is too preoccupied by my blorbos to be able to invest in anything new.

current obsession: probably shocking to no one who follows me, it's mcdanno. this ship ate my brain in november of 2021 and since then its hold on me has not lessened at all, probably got worse, lmao. i found myself unable to gather any feelings about any of my old long time ships because all that space has been eaten up by steve and danny's insane chemistry and frustrating and wonderful epic love story. also within the mcdanno fandom the obsession of recent months has been building/brainstorming aus with aron @emphasisonthehomo (best rp partner one could wish for) . and i guess you can call making mcdanno screencap edits and metas an obsession of its own.

I personally love the 22-24 episodic season format but the other commenters made some excellent points.

As great as the working conditions on ‘Xena; Warrior Princess’ were in terms of health and safety, they still couldn’t avoid frequent casualty and the cast were always dog tired after a working day. Especially Lucy.

By the time of Season 6, they were thoroughly exhausted and did not want to continue with a Season 7. The show was never cancelled as such. It just ended because they didn’t want to do any more of it.

So yes, for creators/cast/crew, 22-24 episodic seasons were extremely difficult to keep up with.

I am very happy with a 15-16 episodic season format.

Not too long, not too short.

As long as it can consistently provide narrative continuity and character representation and development… I’m not fussed. I do miss shows that focused more on character than on plot but I understand that because genre shows aren’t as common now, it makes sense why plot is prioritised.

I think if you can wrap the plot around the characters rather than wrapping the characters around the plot, then you can avoid that “fridging a character” mess.

A great show that I’m currently watching and is returning soon after a 3 year hiatus is ‘Wynonna Earp’ and while the plot for each season isn’t as well-written as it could’ve been, the writing is still tight and cohesive because it’s entirely wrapped around the characters rather than the other way around.

So if I can’t get a show entirely character-focused, then I much prefer that as a trade to plot-focused.

The problem for me with entirely plot-focused and plot-driven is that it seems to always neglect character representation and development and that’s a big “NO!” for me. That’s the most important thing.

For example, the final season (Season 7) of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, known well for being character-driven, made the mistake of making the plot so important that time that it neglected significant main character interactions which meant that a lot of representation and development for the characters we actually wanted it for was missing for the most part.

It made it an extremely dull watch for me compared to the fantastic Season 5 and Season 6 where the plot going on might have been dull and dreary in tone, but because it was entirely wrapped around the main characters…. It actually didn’t matter to me at all.

Season 7 does the opposite. Tries to go for a more upbeat approach in tone but all the main characters are neglected big time. So it felt empty regardless.

downsizing seasons from 22 episodes to 13 to 8. describing miniseries as "8 hour movies". loudly declaring that shows with 20+ episodes per season cannot truly be good. complaining that "it couldve been a movie". complaining about filler episodes. complaining about bottle episodes. complaining about episodes that prioritize character over plot. fr i think y'all just dont like television
