Dragon Age NPC Ages in DA: The Veilguard
This assumes that the 9 10 years between Dragon Age Inquisition and Dragon Age: The Veilguard refer to the Trespasser DLC (as in the last time Varric would have seen Solas; confirmed in Dev Q&A on 6/14/24). This places DAV in 9:54. Characters who showed up in a previous game will not be repeated in the lists for later games they also appeared in (i.e., Leliana is under DAO, not DAI).
Read more for length & spoiler reasons. The ages listed are assuming they have not had their birthday in 9:54 yet.
ETA1: I used the ages & evidence summarized by @dalishious in this post, superseding those ages with newer evidence where available or my own interpretation of textual evidence (when given a range I personally favor smack in the middle more often than not).
ETA2: Changed year/ages to reflect the Q&A information that Veilguard is 10 years post-Trespasser, not 9 as originally stated.
ETA3: It's officially set in 9:52, so just subtract 2 years from everyone.
Dragon Age: Origins - 9:30 - 24 years prior
Alistair Theirin - 43
Morrigan - 49
Leliana - 50
Zevran Arainai - 48
Oghren Kondrat - 66
Wynne - RIP (would've been 71)
Shale - Eternal
Sten (now Arishok) - 67
Loghain Mac Tir - 75
Anora Mac Tir - 50
Dragon Age: Awakening - 9:31 - 23 years prior
Nathaniel Howe - 53
Anders - 54
Sigrun - 48
Velanna - 48
Dragon Age 2 - 9:30-9:37 - 24-17 years prior
Hawke - 48
Carver/Bethany Hawke - 43
Fenris - ~54
Isabela - 54
Merrill - ~47
Sebastian Vael - 46
Aveline Vallen - ~59
Varric Tethras - 53
Dragon Age Inquisition - 9:41-9:44 - 13-10 years prior
Josephine Montilyet - 41
Cullen Rutherford - 42
Cassandra Pentaghast - 50
Solas - ~2000 (appears mid-40s)
Sera - 33
Vivienne de Fer - 57
Blackwall/Thom Rainier - 58
the Iron Bull - 50
Dorian Pavus - 42
Cole - Ageless (appears 20, or he may have aged into his 30s if he were made more human in DAI)
Kieran - 22

Bryony Corrigan as Vanessa Wilcock-Wynn-Carroway as Queen Isobel in:
The Most Lamentable Tragedy of the Prince of England and His Long Lost Twin Brother, Prince Regent of France and the Problems Therein Experienced by All When they came to Know of One Another after a Battle (by Simon Shakespeare, cousin to the famous Colin Shakespeare)
6,129 stitches, 43 colours, and 50 hours, 39 minutes, 46 seconds (I tracked it)
The stitching is done!! I still need to iron it and finish it (I might frame it - I’d prefer to hoop it but it’s nearly 9” tall so I’d need to find a big enough hoop for that)

Last Frontier / New Frontier / Frontier Hotel & Casino
Hotel Last Frontier opened October 30, 1942, the second resort on Hwy 91 south of Las Vegas and first to adopt an all-encompassing theme, the Old West. (Postcard, '43.)
'41: Rupert "R.E." Griffith purchases Guy McAfee’s 91 Club and begins building the resort with architect & partner William Moore. Griffith is the builder-owner of El Rancho, Gallup, NM, and with his brothers the owner of hundreds of theaters in the south & midwest.
'42: Oct. 30, opening of Last Frontier Hotel. Wm. Moore is executive manager of the resort. Ballard E. Barron is a partner and manages the casino until retirement in the 50s.
'43: May 22, Little Church of the West wedding chapel opens.
'43: Griffith dies, age 50. Moore continues operations.
'47: Last Frontier Sportsdrome race track, and Texaco Fire-Chief service station both opened
'48: Last Frontier Village them park begins opening. Official opening two years later along with Silver Slipper. R. Stadelman, W. Zick, architects.
'50: Silver Slipper opens 9/6/50. (Silver Slipper was independent of Frontier from the years '56-'68.)
'51: Moore sells or leases the resort to Kozloff, Katleman, and others, exact arrangement is unclear. Other owners changed in the late 50s; Warren 'Doc' Bayley, and P. Foster in ‘59.
'53: Mary Kaye Trio performs on a new stage at Last Frontier's Gay 90s Bar. The unusual engagement outside the showroom proves a success that lasts 20 weeks and launches the "Lounge Act" phenomenon at every Strip hotel. (Cossette; RJ 10/23/53)
'55: “New Frontier” modernist casino and showroom, opens 4/4/55 between the hotel and Last Frontier Village. The resort is rebranded New Frontier. Little Church of the West is relocated to the south side of the resort.
'57: 9-month closure of casino
'58: Signage for “Last Frontier” over the hotel wing facing the Strip, lasting through demolition in '66.
'59: Warren 'Doc' Bayley and P. Foster, owner or lease the resort. Bayley is 90% shareholder in the Frontier.
'60: Sportsdrome closed. Last Frontier Village closure is unclear, circa '60-'64.
'65: Judy Bayley assumes control of 'Doc' Bayley holdings after his death on 12/26/64. Frontier is closed by the first week of Jan. for previously announced renovation program. Unclear of the casino and showroom are closed at the same time. Frontier remains closed until '67.
'66: Vegas Frontier Inc. (M Friedman, M Clarke, partners) lease the property from Banker’s Life. Last Frontier Hotel demolished in May. Construction of all-new hotel begins in Sep. Texaco Fire-Chief demolished in Nov.
'67: Frontier opens 7/30/67. Sign by B. Clarke, AdArt. Lease and property sold to H. Hughes in Nov.
'68: Hughes buys Silver Slipper, bringing the casino and Frontier under the same ownership for the first time since '56.
'80: Frontier sign painted brown.
'82: Jun. 24, Grand opening of a western-themed casino expansion, including Wild Horse Slot Saloon and Wild Horse Lounge; new signs and exterior design, with longhorn motif on the front entrance and marquee sign by Sign Systems Inc. (RJ 6/24/82)

I reached 800 read unique books on Goodreads on November 27, 2024. (600 of them were in the past six years.)
Unfortunately this isn't a full list of everything I've read, as for a number of years I somehow completely blocked out that Goodreads existed. Unfortunately I've also lost about 7-8 years of memory due to ECT (electro convulsive therapy) and have no idea what I read during that time. I also have read a ton of fanfiction over the past 25 years and that's obviously not represented here.
My biggest genre is fantasy at 337 books, which is no surprise to me or anyone who knows me. Weirdly, fantasy is not the genre I write in, despite my adoration of it.
Runners up are YA and middle grade (at 171 and 155 respectively). I've been rereading a number of books I read as a kid to see how they compare to my memories of them and in some cases I've been shocked by what was acceptable to publish fifty or sixty years ago in kids' books. I still read a few new YA books every year, but not as many as I used to. Usually, when reading YA, I often just have this voice in my head that is relieved I am no longer a teenager.
Sci Fi is next at 134 (48 of those are Star Trek books). I love science fiction, but don't read as much of it as I would like. It can be difficult to find women-centric sci-fi, but Murderbot by Martha Wells and Aliette de Bodard's Xuya books have been a nice change of pace.
Non-fiction is at 51 books, and I'd like to do better in this category. There are so many interesting things to read and learn and I regret neglecting this aspect of reading for so long. My future goals include 1-2 non-fiction books a month.
Most read authors: Brandon Sanderson (43 books), Stephen King (42 books), Rick Riordan (27 books), and Terry Pratchett (23 books - this will grow as I continue to read my way through Discworld at the pace of a book a month).
What's next?
For reading, I'm reading through Stephen King's books chronologically by publishing date. I have about thirty left. Continuing to read Discworld. Reading the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine books. Additional authors coming up on my reading list: Ursula Le Guin, Diane Wynne Jones, Suzanne Collins, and Jim Butcher.
For writing, I've finished one YA novel and it's currently with beta readers. More editing on that scheduled in December. I intend to start writing a second standalone novel in January.
Here's to more words!

2023 Reads: thelonelybrilliance
Final count 72! I set a goal of 52 originally but raised the bar when I realized that would only bring me into early November.
Decided it would be fun to share some stats and recommendations along with the full list.
First, ten recommendations:
The Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner (best completed series)
Gregory Orr, The Last Love Poem I Will Ever Write (best new poetry read)
Minka Kelly, Tell Me Everything (best memoir)
E.B. White, Here Is New York (best short read)
Carrie Fisher, The Princess Diarist (best journals)
Sydney Taylor, All-of-a-Kind Family (best children's lit)
Laurie Halse Anderson, Shout (best poetry memoir)
George Eliot, Middlemarch (best classic)
Michelle Zauner, Crying in H Mart (best food writing)
Red Rising series by Pierce Brown (best sci-fi/ongoing series + best audio drama (Red Rising (Book 1))
Of my 72 reads, 31 were rereads, 41 new . Four were audiobooks, the rest print (primarily e-books). My longest read was David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. My shortest read (I think? A lot of poetry collections are short) was the longform essay, Here Is New York by E.B. White. I read the most books in December (15) and the least in June (2). 50 authors were women, 21 were men, and one poetry collection was multi-author. My most-read authors were as follows:
Megan Whalen Turner (7 books)
Lucy Maud Montgomery (6 books)
Louise Glück (5 books)
Elizabeth Wein (5 books)
Jane Austen (3 books)

OLD MAN YURI ENJOYERS I CALL UPON YE
I need people to care about the Scout/Rydderech/Twist Yuri love triangle so I'm making a mini reading list
SCP-5382 - Introduction to Thilo Zwist
SCP-5520 - Introduction to Wynn Rydderech and how he loses himself
Getting Your Whiskers in a Zwist - This is a fairly funny tale about Zwist and Scout, something to easy you into the rest of everything.
The Good Work - please don't let the length intimidate you, this tale is amazing. Goes through and carefully chronicles the lives of and relationship between Scout and Rydderech. Discusses a lot of On Guard 43 lore, but I promise you can gather all of it through context clues.
Come Home for Zwistmas - Topical for this time of year, has the chance to explore the Rydderech/Zwist half of the miserycule.
For more I really can't recommend reading On Guard 43. It's long as fuck but it's worth it.
