okay so my current experiment in BDG3 is "what happens if you only recruit astarion in act 3"
how do i do that? shoot him down from afar before he talks to me, then rob him literally naked, then pass his corpse off to a character I don't plan on taking out and about with me this time. they'll carry the corpse until act three, then dump him after i murderise cazador. i'll see if i can revive him after that (or see if that ability wears off after act 1).
maybe someone has done this before. i don't know. don't tell me. this is my fun experiment.

yes the 8 strength jokes are funny but on the other hand the ones in bg3 with 8 strength are a wizard who self isolated in a tower for a year, a vampire spawn rogue consistently underfed by his master, and a warlock who I assume was more durance trained than for pure strength and who has definitely been banking more on his eldritch powers for the last seven odd years so like. yeah.

i love them they’re my gfs
Karlach: What a sight. We should stop for a nice little lunch, take it all in.
Lae’zel: Is the worm gnawing at your grey matter? We must find a crèche and be purified.
Karlach: True. Fine. First, purify the tadpole, then a little lunch.

Hero Party
When ever I am planning on doing something generally selfless, i.e. save Marina in bg3, I assemble what I like to call the heroic team. Karlach, Gale and Wyll. That way I don't lose approval, but still can save people. But, I have to tell Astarion to stay at camp so all I can imagine is this:
Astarion looking up as Wyll gears up:What is this? Am I just going to stay here then?
Tav: We are helping people regardless of money and power.
Astarion: Oh nevermind.
Tav:*Halfway through battle and remembering Astarion has half the health potions* DAMN IT!
Astarion back at camp looking at his pack filled with fire arrows and health potions: Hm. Shame.

you look like you just threw a massive tantrum and nearly set my half-dead wizard on fire but that's not a dialogue option so we are going with number 1.

so evil of bg3 to be like "are you sure you want to go to bed? someone in camp still wants to talk to you" and get my hopes up and then it's mizora 😫😠🤢

Kind of flabbergasted to find out that Wyll has less romance scenes than the other companions, and like I know there's less Wyll content in general but like I wanna talk about this in particular just bc Wyll has THE most charming potential romance initiation scene AND he reacts so sadly if you turn him down. Like it feels like the game is basically begging you to romance him and then you find out that his romance is under written and that just feels so crazy
