One thing I know for sure is that Roxxane Perez has been phenomenal as champion, and I really can't wait to see what she does next. Does she stay in NXT and fight for the Championship again? or does she go after the women's North American Championship? Most likely main roster.

WWE catch up - Royal Rumble 2020

Roman Reigns vs King Corbin

- So this is the infamous dog food storyline. I haven't really been watching Smackdown as much during this catch up since I heard it was rough, and wow. It was worse than I imagined. I do not blame Roman for nearly retiring after that

- This is match is...fine? The port-a-potty thing was a choice. I do not miss old creative

- Seeing Roman finally over with the crowd is nice, even if he was beyond tired of his Big Dog character at this point.

Women's Royal Rumble Match

- Whoa, hey there Toni Storm!

- Hearing them all mention Rhea has me wanting to also go back and watch NXT but I only have so much time to watch old wrestling

- The constant mentioning of this being the road to Wrestlemania is really sad, knowing that everything is about to change. I'm both nervous about and intrigued to watch pandemic era WWE

- Has Natalya ever gotten her flowers? Seems like she's always been held near the top, but never pushed beyond that

- I will never get tired of Naomi's gear. Also she's a badass

- I love when women exist

- I need to know what kind of tape they all use to stay in these outfits. It never ceases to amaze me

- Predicting now that Drew McIntyre wins

- I hate the AR graphics

- The crowd that was fully cheering him earlier boos Roman as he comes out. I know he's way over now, but we do think he still dreads the Rumble every year because of his negative association with it? I would if I were him, geez

- Power Ranger Seth!

- Every time I watch the rumble I remember being in the audience for 2016, and for a brief, shining moment we thought they might give the win to Dean. I was so mad when Triple H won lol

- Roman is and has always been My Guy™️, rooting for him always, but WTF is this booking?! Having him beat Taker was bad enough. Now they have him eliminate Edge at the Rumble? All of that is fine if you're looking to make a heel, but as a face this booking could not make less sense. I would have booed him eliminating Edge if I had been watching in real time

- Sweet baby Drew wins! He looks so emotional 🥹

- Ugh it's so bittersweet knowing that everything is going to go up in smoke. Seeing all pirate ads for Mania and everything, the storylines being put into place.

Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk

I really hope Drew wins. I'm not a Punk fan but I also see Seth screwing punk somehow

Logan Paul vs. LA Knight (United States Championship)

Don't like either of them but I see Knight winning

Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker (Intercontinental Championship)

I see Bron winning even though I don't feel like he's been on the main roster long enough. It's the same thing they did with him in NXT. Don't get me wrong dude is talented but can we not push him so fast?

Damian Priest vs. Gunther (World Heavyweight Championship)

I'm so torn on this one. I really hope Damian retains, but I'm thinking Gunther will probably win. I feel like Finn is going to do something to cost Priest.

Bayley vs. Nia Jax (WWE Women's Championship)

I think Bayley will retain, I don't see Tiffany cashing in

Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley (Women's World Championship)

As bad as I want Rhea to win, Liv is going to retain. I see Dom doing something stupid to cost Rhea

Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa (Undisputed WWE Championship)

As much as I despise Cody he's going to retain. I'd love to see Solo as champ though. I definitely see some returns or debuts happening with all of the bloodline drama

Was AJ Lee the figment of some Manga-geek’s adolescent imagination? She was an avid video gamer, regularly thumbing through comic books and wearing the scuffs on her Chuck Taylors with pride. Although she stood a petite 5-foot-2, AJ was a fierce competitor with an energetic, high-flying style that posed a threat to any Diva. This bold New Jersey native first introduced herself to the WWE Universe on the third season of WWE NXT. She finished in third place but won many WWE fans with her lucha-inspired moveset and indomitable fighting spirit. A year after debuting on SmackDown in May 2011, AJ was pivotal in the 18-second outcome of the World Heavyweight Championship Match at WrestleMania XXVIII with a kiss to her beau, Daniel Bryan. The couple’s subsequent breakup sent AJ into an emotional tailspin, and she went on to become romantically entangled with WWE’s top Superstars, including CM Punk, Kane and even John Cena. Following a brief and controversial stint as Raw’s General Manager — a tenure marred by controversy due to her increasingly erratic behavior — AJ found herself in the arms of the brash Dolph Ziggler. Coincidentally enough, it was in the femme fatale’s home state that The Showoff cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Alberto Del Rio to become the World Heavyweight Champion just one night after WrestleMania 29. It wasn’t long before AJ claimed a championship of her own. After winning a No. 1 Contender’s Divas Battle Royal on Raw, AJ defeated former friend Kaitlyn to ensnare the Divas Title and would go on to hold that prize for a record-shattering 295 days until she was unseated by NXT Women’s Champion Paige the day after WrestleMania 30. It would be her first of three Divas Championships. Even though it was impossible to predict what AJ would do next, one thing remained a constant: She always kept us guessing.

CM Punk - I generally dislike him as a person and most of what he's done since returning to wrestling, but he's unquestionably an important and influential figure in the business (for better and worse) and he was a big talent. The question is if he's somehow never received the credit or money he deserves. I think, at this point, he's gotten too much.

I know a lot of older male fans who missed CM Punk's original WWE run because they were watching other companies or weren't watching wrestling at all until AEW. Younger fans won't know this but "indie smarks" didn't like CM Punk. They saw him as inferior to a lot of indie guys who weren't big stars yet: Bryan, Steen/Owens, Generizo/Zayn, Omega, Devitt/Balor, AJ Styles. A huge list of guys who became stars filling in for Punk. So you can credit Punk for their success.

I was a big Punk fan. I was in the cult. I defended him and bought his side of stories over the decade of failures. But I checked out when he went to AEW. From the jump, I thought his shtick of helping the underdogs beat WWE was insincere. The politics he used to stay on top there made him the biggest hypocrite ever and destroyed the appeal he had in WWE. I'm not even talking about the 2 fights, which I think he deserves most of the responsibility for. But his unprofessionalism and Diva behavior in the Jon Moxley angle was just pathetic.

So now that he's in WWE again, WWE fans act like he's still the messiah of wrestling - even tho he's injured and in backstage drama again. One thing will never change about Phil Brooks: he's a natural heel. Since The Rock returned, I think its obvious that WWE doesn't need Punk. The only role he could've played well was Seth's role as Cody's backup. Punk has history with Rock and they're both on similar levels of health and athleticism. Both guys are talkers more than performers now. But Punk is missing the best angle that could've reintroduced him as a big star.

My prediction is Punk won't implode or do anything too stupid again, just because I don't think anyone is foolish enough to give Punk the diva treatment again. He abuses it every time. I think he will probably join HBK or take over for him as NXT's boss. He will stay in WWE's camp but won't ever have any real creative sway. The most positive effect Punk can make has already happened: he pushed HHH to prepare taking over WWE creative. And I think HHH is rewarding him for that alone. Punk will become HHH's "douchebag lackey Yes man"and thats really where he belongs.
