Also, if y'all want more, I literally made a list for all the states of what fish and colours I can and will do so

Did you know 19 states have trout as their state fish? 19?? Ridiculous. At what point do they ban it. Especially brook trout please the differences are so minor

Happy to be home from my work conference, but it was great being back in Norfolk for a couple of days.

Therefore this is why I’m on the stance that should be more content of mermaid!Virginia in the fandom.

Quick question what fish or other aquatic animal would the state mermaids be

Just any of them would be great

Alaska would be an orca

Florida a shark

Texas would say shark but be a Dolphin

California would be a bee

Louie would be a speckled trout

New York would be a Golden Shiner

Mass would be an Atlantic Blue Marlin

Maryland would be a crab

Nebraska is a rainbow Trout

Washington is a Sock Eye

I could keep going

oh yeah just wondering, for the merstates are you considering expanding the possibilities to include mammalian or even reptilian animals?

of course sailfish or shark merflorida would still be really cool, but the possibility of marine iguana merflorida might be fun too lmao. whales and dolphins are an obvious choice as well

I haven't expanded that far, but it does include some

Alaska, Mass, and Cali have whales (I do also have fish marked for them too, I wanted both)

Florida has the Most options, including a manatee and a bottlenose dolphine. I do believe in Manatee Florida

Maine has lobster (And fish version) And Mary has blue crab (And fish version)
