still playing persona 3 for the first time (im playing reload). im on nov 9 and i wanna make some predictions !! so under the cut is me speculating on some shit thats going on so far :D i don't expect to be right about it all but i just wanna be able to come back to this post and see if i was right about some of it or if i was totally wrong lol (also, this has spoilers for some major stuff leading up to november !!)

ok, so im on nov 9 and just met a new character named ryoji. now, ryoji looks suspiciously like pharos (the little boy who we met during the dark hour before each boss basically).

like, they have the same mole, eyes, eyebrows and same VA. i think its kinda obvious that they're the same person, especially when ryoji is saying shit like this:

but that isn't what i wanted to make this post about. im thinking that because pharos' social link was the death tarot, maybe him becoming ryoji is what ikutski was trying to do. idk how to explain it that well but hear me out lol. i think that ryoji is what's going to bring about "the fall." i think that defeating the 12 shadows (and maybe also the "sacrifice" of ikutski and mitsuru's father) is what transformed pharos into ryoji. everytime we see pharos, hes wearing an outfit that looks like something a prisoner would wear. maybe the existence of the 12 shadows was making it so he couldn't use his full powers or some shit, akin to being imprisoned and them being defeated unleashed him. the last time we see him, he says he remembers what he has to do and that he has a duty to fulfill. not chained back by the shadows anymore, he was able to become ryoji and possibly try to bring about the fall? im not sure if im getting this right lol but thats what im thinking. and i think that while she might not fully remember it, aigis might have some kind of knowledge about this bc of how she reacts to ryoji when he first joins the class:

she knows something about him but i don't think she fully remembers what it is. an interesting thing i saw in the dictionary tab is this:

"it's birth was already intended to happen once, ten years ago." aigis was made 10 years ago and also maybe im reaching for this but pharos looks to be around 10 years old or so when we meet him. he is the death tarot, and this dictionary thing is under the term "death." aigis being made around that time could be why she thinks that ryoji is dangerous, maybe she sees the resemblance between pharos and ryoji? idk if im right or if im grasping at straws but i just had to rant about what im thinking so far !! im really excited to see where this all leads. (pls if anyone actually is reading this shitty post, no spoilers 🙏🙏)

Genshin Official Relationships and Status

Something to take note off in character relationships is what their "official and known" relationships are. So, I decided to try to make a chart of one with the playable cast and some extras.

This is a draft though. If you have criticisms and comments, absolutely please do leave them because I don't think my interpretations of these government systems are that accurate.

Anyways, here they are! The higher the placement, the higher the authority. Distance does not apply, and the legend is in each of the pictures.

Mondstadt: That's a lotta knights

They can be split between the Church and Knights, but the Church is still under the Grand Master as far as I know.

Power is surprisingly concentrated to 1/2 individuals only for a nation of freedom...Mond you gotta work on that...

Jean, Diluc, Kaeya, and Lisa are arranged the way they are in reference to the Klee summer event where they passed on who was looking after Mond.

Diluc still retains his high position because he has so many high credentials and connections (The Darknight Hero, Mond's richest man, high status in an intelligence network), despite being the Ex-Cavalry Captain.

Rosaria is an official recognized nun, but her vigilante works are by her own accord, hence the colors.

I am not sure whatsoever where Jean and Barbara's father, the Cardinal, should really be placed, or if he even still holds the position.

Poor Noelle does so much more Mond, but is lowest in status...please just make her a knight already T__T

Liyue: Zhongli and his powerful lesbians

I really am not sure if Ningguang is who Liyue's closest "leader", but that is how I felt during most of Liyues events

I'm assuming that the adepti now have a lesser status in Liyue because of the shift in power to the humans during the archon quest

How high Beidou's status is is, completely informal. She's right beside Ningguang because they do find each other to be equal competitors in their own way.

Those directly connected to Zhongli are those I assumed to have taken direct orders from him, hence why Beidou and Keqing are not included although they do respect him as their archon (Keqing in her own way)

I feel like I'm missing people here, compared to Mond, so uh, help me out here-

Inazuma: They just had a civil war...woops

I am reallyyy unsure how to label Sangonomiya island's status. Are they under the shogun? Are they their own separate territory?

Otherwise, Inazuma is pretty straightforward with its 3 factions and families

Sumeru: The whole government was just overthrown

Are there like, genuinely so sages right now, or replacement Grand Sage??? Nahida you need to do something asap-

Scara doesn't exactly have equal status to Alhaitham as Acting Grand Sage, but I felt it was more important to show that Scara is working directly under Nahida

Speaking of which, the title "shadow" is used because it's the same role that Ei served to Makoto, which I find poetic. If there is an official or better title tho, I'd love to hear it.

Hopefully, as time passes, there will be more representatives from the desert with high status. Poor Candace is carrying the desert's status on her back-

Fontaine: Fancy Schmancy Titles

I honestly reallyyyy wished that Neuv and Wrio were on equal standing, but in the eyes of Fontaine, that probably just isn't true.

Even so, absolute do not underestimate how important Wrio's role is in Fontaine's justice system, because without the Fortress functioning as it is, so much of Fontaine's justice would fall apart.

Despite Furina's death penalty and retirement, I still believe she deserves the title of archon with the highest status. No matter what happens, she is still Fontaine's idol and savior. (Besides, if she wanted/needed anything, Neuv would give it to her.)

How high Navia, Clorinde, and Chevy's statuses are in relation to each other in reality is...not explicit?

Really, Clorinde is just another employee under Fontaine's justice system, and isn't a head in anyway, while Chevy and Navia are actual leaders. But, Clorinde is the best Champion Duelist, so does that make them cancel out...?

Anyways that's all from me! It's pretty interesting to me just how much of the cast are part of their respective nation's government, which only makes sense given the kind of ruckus the traveler causes. Have a good day!

I feel like tfa capitalized on an idea of semi-transforming that nobody else has latched onto

examples from the show:

having a free hand in alt mode, dropping wheels down to their pedes to functionally be wearing motorized heelies

but IMAGINE. imagine you are a transformer. got a hard to reach itch or your shoulder needs to be massaged? you could semi transform your body to reach that. semi transform to access your horn. why are they not using their wheels as heelies everywhere??? I would!! like, they can transform into cars. I think semi transformation takes a lot of self control, to be able to transform just one specific part of one's body, but it's so fucking funny to me.

why aren't pickup trucks using their hooks as a third arm. I'm still stuck on the heelies thing why is tfa bumblebee the only one who's ever done that??????

be a dick to somebody. wake them up by semi transforming your upper body and having the top half of a car on legs honk in their face in the morning

One of the probable reasons as to why Kaeya didn't arrive on time for Crepus and Diluc when they were attacked was because he, and the knights with him, had no vision, and thus, cannot use a teleport waypoint.

Him receiving his cryo vision when he was supposed to get scorched by Diluc was genuinely the biggest slap to the face given to him by Celestia. It arrived just in time to save HIM.

Even now, the vision only heals and shields him alone as a manifestation of his desire to keep living from that fight... but he can't use it to help others.

I wanted to ask, what's your take on recovery!au (unless you intend to cover it in your fic)? In the universe, where Jimmy happens, but the crew somehow survives. Everyone is traumatised, Anya is pregnant, Curly is disabled (could he even be able to afford disability aids? Pony express in no more, would they even be paid a sufficient compensation?). There is also a question of p*lice investigation (or whatever agency is responsible for space crimes), even more trauma... Man, it's bleak.

I like them sad but for emotional and physical recovery reason rather than all the actual legal stuff that would ensue.

I like when Swansea relapsing is explored and Daisuke losing a little bit of his light. I am clearly a big supporter of Anya and Curly remaining close friend after but I think exploring the unhealthy dynamics of the trauma bond they’d develop should be played with way more. I think it’s a bit annoying when people are on the nose about Anya telling Curly he should’ve done more, especially when he’s struggling through recovery.

I feel like people really want her to be a character to rub salt into wounds, just to give her something cathartic, but it’s just OOC for me. It’s not a kindness thing but I don’t think she wants that sort of guilt to stay with him like that? He did not do what Jimmy did, he could’ve done more to stop it but she would not intentionally try to direct what she can never take out towards Jimmy at Curly. At least when they all make it out. This is not to say she doesn’t think he shouldn’t have any remorse but she understands that no one else could have foreseen Jimmy crashing the ship or getting that bad.

I like when it gets psychoanalytic in fics with the crew. Talk about Curly finally opening up on details on how he and Jimmy were friends, have the others realize how bad Jimmy was to even Curly, not a lot of people realize that they don’t know how Jimmy was to him. Have Anya be angry and snippy, have her worry she’s becoming like Jimmy even though she could never be like him, it’s that fear though, that she is owed that cathartic release and may take it out on others in some selfish subconscious desire to reclaim control for herself. Have her actualize-herself, is med school the only option? What does she want now? Does Swansea divorce his wife, give up on the life he created because he was just following the path of a good man, one he didn’t believe? Or does he stay and use the time he has left to make it something he believes in. How is Daisuke? Is he more mature or does he lose a little light? What are his new aspirations if any? His relationship with his parents?

Ultimately, I think a recover au should really focus on just them actually getting to know each other and filling themselves. So much of their interactions were likely based on coworker dynamics first. With that out the window they are now people who can’t really move on from each other but need to move on in life.

Hey guess who's been writing a fic for months & finally caved into showing a sneak peak that isn't even in the main story

If

Bodoque finds himself tossing & turning in bed, when his eyes snap open, a cold sweat dew gathering along his brow. He sits himself up against the bed frame, quickly scanning the room he now finds himself in. 

The walls are covered in a pale green wallpaper, parts of it seemingly peeling away to reveal the cheap plaster underneath. A cork board is hanging on one side, covered in sticky notes & blurry polaroids. On the other is an open window, the shining sun outside indicating it was probably around noon. The final wall is plain, bearing a closed wooden door. The white paint is peeling off & bronze door knob polished only at the top from heavy use. Suddenly, there's a loud series of knocks at the door, startling the rabbit.

“Heyyyyy, Bodoqueeee! You overslept again! You're gonna be late to class, again!” booms out a familiar voice from the door. “I'm coming in, my book's inside & unlike you, I care about being on time to my classes!” cries out the voice before a tall figure bursts through the door. The figure then quickly covers their eyes with a large, 4 fingered hand. “GAH! Juan Carlos, put on some pants, geez!”

It was there that Bodoque realized he was only wearing underpants, the blanket having been tossed on the floor during his fitful slumber. He makes no attempt to cover up, instead choosing to cross his arms in discontent as he gets a good look at the taller man. His form is lankier than Bodoque remembers, but his shoulders are broad & strong. He's a sky blue shirt, buttoned all the way up to his neck. A set of black suspenders hold up a pair of dark gray slacks, a matching tie tops off his ensemble.

“God, has he always dressed like such a nerd…?” wonders the rabbit. 

“It's not like you gave me a chance to put any on before you almost broke my door down, Tulio. Besides, it's not like it's something you've never seen before, stupid.”

The sock monkey gasps in a scandalized manner, before holding his other hand in a shushing gesture.

“Woah, hey! Don't say it so loud! You know how nosy people are in these dorms, I don't want anyone spreading weird rumors about me!” replied Tulio, his voice a harsh whisper as he approached his friend. He picks up the blanket from the floor to cover up the rabbit's exposed body. As he places the blanket on him, Bodoque suddenly grabs onto his hand, paw holding it in an iron grip.

“Hey! Stop messing around, man! Let go of my ha-” is all Tulio is able to say before he's pulled into a messy kiss, Bodoque's free arm pulling him closer. At first, the taller man considers fighting the growing urges, but chooses to return the kiss, allowing himself to melt into the warmth of his best friend.

The kissing gradually becomes more heated, desperate, and Tulio notices that Bodoque seems to be whispering something in-between breathy kisses. They sound like, apologies? As Bodoque proceeds to unbutton Tulio's shirt, the monkey begins to feel a wetness on his cheek.

“Juan Carlos, are you crying?” he asks the shorter man, making him pause his efforts to undress the other. He doesn't respond, simply attempts to continue unbuttoning Tulio’s shirt. Tulio pulls away, then grabs hold of his paw. “Hey, look at me, man. Are you good? And what was up with the mumbling earlier?” Bodoque remains quiet, Tulio’s mouth morphs into a frown. He lets out an exasperated sigh.

“Look, if you like, don't feel good today, I'll let you borrow my notes later, ok? Class is gonna start soon & my clothes are a mess. I gotta go, I'll see you la-”

“Wait, don't go, stay with me, please” Bodoque manages to say. His free paw meets Tulio's grip, face still downcast & refusing to meet the other's gaze. Tulio looks at him, intently waiting for a response. He waits for any sign from Bodoque that would give him, at the very least, an inkling on what was going on in the mind of his long eared friend. When he still doesn't get anything else from the rabbit, Tulio decides to sit next to him, still holding his paw. They sit in silence for what feels like hours before either says another word, Bodoque finally breaking the silence. 

“Tulio, if you had the chance to change the past, would you do it?” he asks. Confused, Tulio thinks for a few seconds about the question.

“Well, I would probably change it so I'd be here a little earlier, to wake you up and have time for…stuff” he answers, a blush forming as he thought about the possibilities of being there earlier. Bodoque lets out a small, solemn chuckle, cuddling up to the taller man.

“I agree, it would be nice to be able to do things, earlier. To do things before it's too late, get a chance to do more with the ones you love.”

Tulio turns to look at his friend, who then finally looks up at him, eyes red & puffy with drying tears across his cheeks. He feels at a loss; he knew Bodoque had a bit of a “romantic” side with his occasionally flowery language & how often he'd spend the night with random classmates instead of studying. But to admit he felt love for someone, and that someone was him of all people, was honestly a shock to him.

They had messed around sometimes when they were younger, he reasoned it was the nature of long-term childhood friendships. And it wasn't like Tulio didn't like girls, but there was always something about Bodoque that brought him a sense of comfort. Maybe it was because Bodoque was a year older than him, but Tulio couldn't help but feel safer with him at his side.

“Juan Carlos…” he inched closer to Bodoque's face, gently holding it with one hand, his other moving up to wipe at the stray tears as they began to form.

“His hands are so soft…” Bodoque thinks. He brings his own paw up to grab hold of Tulio's striped hand. He closes his eyes, relishing in the warm, gentle hold of his closest friend.

And then he woke up.
