Thank you for the rec @gingiekittycat !! Reading the original post is like reading a better summary of my fic than the one I came up with.

My ethos is that they are cartoon characters disgustingly in love who deserve to live out their silly sitcom dreams 🩷.

Crowley and Aziraphale don't need a quiet retirement in the countryside.

What they really need is for their South Downs cottage to be part of an HOA and spend the rest of their existences facing a common enemy of powertripping geriatric citizens and nosy neighbours.

I want 10 seasons of Crowley's plans for a carnivorous garden being turned down and him going scorched earth on the head of the HOA comittees' award winning Dhalia patch. I want 10 seasons of Aziraphale sniffing out HOA policy loopholes like a truffle pig or maliciously complying when he can't get out of something.

we shall have the world forever for our own was originally called well, the estate agent certainly neglected to mention that (in the brochure). I changed it very shortly before I published the first chapter. There is part of me that wishes I'd gone for something sillier/funnier (or at least a better acronym... wshtwffoo? girl 😭), however, at the end of the day I'm a big sap and the lyrics to the song the title comes from speak to me in terms of the story I'm telling. Thank you, Mr. Sondheim.

🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet?

Once wshtwffoo (GOD) is finished, I would love to do one-shots set in the same universe. A Very Wood's Bottom Vacation, A Very Wood's Bottom Christmas, etc. I have not considered this beyond looking up the National Lampoon films.
