\ Ash was originally meant to be a TA for Kukui but he and Ku stumbled across Burnet while she was out in the wild close to the school. looking and trying to replicate a Toucannon's massive nest on paper. he offer's to draw for her, having far superior artistic skills then anything like math or science.

\ Burnet sucks at art so she's very grateful for Ash's help and the two quickly become what seems like the strongest bother-sister bond Ku has ever seen while traveling with Ash.

\ it takes a good month for Ash to actually apologies to the Professor, wanting to switch to being Burnets personal assistant. Kukui doesn't mid as long as Ash hangs out with the kids when he has free time, the class has grown very fond of him and Ku even though Ku doesn't like them.

\ Ash ends up living with Burnet at her lodging at Aether Paradise and most often then naught Ku disappears when Ash is in his room or the kitchen.

\ he's out terrorizing the Aether grunts and Faba.

\ Colress goes missing for three day's straight only to turn up on a Monday, dressed impeccably but the only thing askew is his hair and glasses. eyes wide and he's shaking. yelping when he catches sight of Ku riding on his usual spot on Ash's shoulders in the distance, following after Burnet and completely unaware what Ku did to the unovian scientist.

\ Viren? Ash don't know him. (Ku does, he tasted delish)

\ Ash's team is Ku the Mimikyu, Ripple the shiny Gyarados, Venny the Scolipede, Miss Maggie the Mismagius, Lucifer the Houndoom, Jessie the shiny female Salandit.

\ Giratina is Ash's dad in this au, not Lugia, and Tapu Bulu takes the place of Tapu KoKo. this leads to Ash and Nanu stumbling across each other regularly on Ula'ula.

\ Nanu actually likes the kid and both Hala and Oliva give him so much shit for it.

\ Ku tolerates the old mans existence, he likes Wicke and Burnet though. their not scared of him and treats him just like Ash did when he first met him back in Kanto.

smoltina's incubator tank (which ima just headcanon now was kept seperate from the other clones during the movie and chara somehow found it)

like- this one was built stronger and stuff, since even if it was a clone of giratina he's still a God so- like- :'D

They're kept in stasis inside the incubator i'm kinda thinking they were just in stasis inside the incubator since mewtwo probably needed something to hold them in.

that and because of how slowly the creation trio "grows" up thats how he stayed as basically a baby by the time chara finds him possibly years later after mewtwo had already made the clone of giratina if that makes sense-

he was still getting nutrients and whatever to grow the clone incubator

but either way like he was sorta kept in stasis at the same time, since he was also a clone of a literal God. I guesss mewtwo wanted to make sure like it wouldnt fail or anything goes wrong

thats also why he put smoltina's tank away from the other clone tanks so even if the other clones got let out or something went wrong with that (like ash fucking breaking shit to save his pokemon/pikachu) it wouldnt affect smoltina's tank and- ye. smoltinas also wouldnt affect the other clones either if THAT went wrong either- if that makes sense

also lowkey thinking of changing exactly WHEN chara starts hanging out with Ash and them and in fact, its after the 1st movie is when she really starts to travel with them tbh maybe she saw ash sacrifice himself between mew and mewtwos attacks and- dialga or something pulled some strings so chara would keep those memories anyways even when mewtwo erases the memories cuz he saw Ash's future and how he's KINDA needed to be kept alive for literally every single movie/major event cuz he has this uncanny ability to calm legendaries and ya know- keep the world from getting destroyed when the other Gods decide to be dumb or whatever lol plus he didnt want like, chara to keep travelling alone and since Ash is a bew then- ye.

plus maybe too when chara saves smoltina from the tank/finds him, because of the stasis as well smoltina was actually pulled out of the incubator too soon, and like ash and co help chara bring the tiny bew to professor Oak to look at him, and make sure he's doing fine and that also sorta helps chara to trust ash and the other bews and wanna travel with them, cuz she sees how worried they also were of smoltina when he wasnt waking up- due to being pulled from incubation too soon on accident

originally it was gonna be during some random episode in the indigo league anime but i feel like the 1st movie could work better cuz thats when Ash's bewiness REALLy shines?? with the fact he was willing to die to save the clones/real ones from killing each other and to stop the mews from fighting and stuff-

Since the Creation Trio is too busy maintaining the universe and Time/Space and all that they cannot take care of and Arceus is still asleep/healing from his injuries caused by Marcues hynotising Damos to betray Arceus in the Arceus movie and stuff to raise Smoltina, so Chara ends up doing that since he's a preemie/infant. Plus too anyways, there's times the anime seems not not give a shit?? like how some episodes have pokemon use more than 4 moves and stuff sooo thats why.  Also Smoltina is shiny, just to make it easier to tell which is the clone, and which is the real one. and- ye.))

sorry I tried to reign it in a bit but this is long af lol

When I started shipping it if I did: august 2021, shortly after the lb6 epilogue originally released. I actually hadn’t read the chapter at the time but I read the summaries and thought the ship was probably cute but not particularly deep (fgo master x literally any servant is usually easy mode shipping after all), but when I actually read the chapter I went completely insane about them, and have been insane about them for over 2 years now.

My thoughts: I really like the way Ritsuka starts as a pretty standard and kinda bland almost self-inserty protagonist in part 1 but then in part 2 they very clearly have something wrong with them and their head is extremely Not Okay, and I like the idea that Oberon (and Castoria as a fellow fairy eyes-haver) is one of the only ones that can fully see that. Everyone knows Oberons a liar, but hardly anyone knows Ritsuka has been lying for a while now (about a lot of things, but particularly about being Normal and Okay). The garden of lost will part in lb6 is so, so good.

But I also like how it can also be very unserious because while I like a lot of the angst stuff I also like (/draw)the dumb shit where Ritsuka is just no.1 Oberon simp who does anything he asks because he’s so pretty.

What makes me happy about them: Oberon is extremely miserable and I like to think Ritsuka does make him happy even if he can’t show it, especially since when he’s in Chaldea he’s allowed to just…be? (As opposed to in lb6) I wouldn’t call him a tsundere because the dynamic isn’t quite that but I like how far he has to go out of his way to help Ritsuka in as roundabout way as possible while trying his best to look like he isn’t (the summer event is exactly this). ALSO they are very very cute Ritsuka is like a fluffy dog like a japanese spitz or something and Oberon is a Siamese cat, this is a 10/10 dynamic.

What makes me sad about them: depending on the interpretation of summoning Oberon is either stuck in the abyss forever while a copy of him with the same memories is in Chaldea, or he is saved from the abyss only to have to eventually return there at some point and tbh I don’t know which is worse. also the material book casually noting Oberon would come to ‘accompany’ Ritsuka if they called for him while they were dying, that hurts so good 🥲

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: i have to admit here I don’t really read fanfic but I do read/collect doujins. I don’t like the rapey stuff although tbh it’s way more common with obeguda (one reason why I’m not into it for the most part). I don’t like either of them being sadistic and cruel to eachother for no reason. mostly I don’t really like minibe being lewded, he’s obviously the same character and all but he looks like a weird baby so it can get uncomf visually. I don’t care if people are into that but I can not count the number of times I’ve been jumpscared by it in a pixiv log lol.

things I look for in fanfic: I’m a big dumb idiot masochist and keep buying doujins that look like they will make me cry and then I’m all surprised pikachu face (crying version) after I read them. But I also like dumb gag stuff…and im a sucker for the AUs where they just live together and hang out and be cute and goof off with Castoria, I don’t care that it’s ‘boring’, every time I see it I react like it’s the first time.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: for Ritsuka I’d say Saito Hajime, while I don’t bother to seek it out I do look respectfully at hajiguda if it appears on my feed. For Oberon I don’t ship with anybody else, but the closest thing is that I do really like the tragedy that is him and Blanca (especially since it’s typically one-sided) Blanca is canonically in love with him but according to the material xiii book, she’s (potentially) a cursed princess who isn’t actually a moth, which fascinates me. I also like the theory that she was Titania all along.

My happily ever after for them: Oberon gets granted incarnation as a human by the grail after Everything is Fixed and they live together and also Castoria is there I’m a simple man I’m sappy I eat doujins like this up

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: oberon isn’t a spoon he’s a cat, when he has decided on his sleeping position ritsuka isn’t allowed to move ever

What is their favorite non-sexual activity: I like when they hang out in the welsh forest in the simulator with all the bug fairies. They’re with Castoria a lot too. Oberon is allegedly a good dancer, and whether he actually enjoys it or not, I like to think he does when he does it with them. Maybe he teaches them. 🥹

Pt 4 to DD changes Ash's teams for no reason except pure boredom and pettiness. Remember this is pt 4 to the AU I've made for Kanto, Orange Islands, and Johto so far.

We're now at Hoenn and the Battle Frontier- I did group them together despite being kinda separated like Kanto and the Orange Islands were, but that's mainly because we're now reaching the point where I started missing a lot if the episodes as a kid. I can't really rewrite a story I don't know, yknow? But I can redo teams and make my own diverging points.

So... yeah. Remember I evolve or replace what I want, no hard feelings.

For the Hoenn Saga

And the revamped *Sevii Islands* Battle Frontier saga

I'll explain what I can below, but I do want to aim for shorter posts. Still a long read tho.

Starting with Hoenn:

Personally I would have loved to have given him Swampert or Blaziken instead, but Blaziken is important for May, and Swampert- while my personal favorite of the Hoenn starters- would make for repetitiveness given how in this AU, we've already fully evolved Blastoise and Feraligatr. Plus Ash's Sceptile is way too cool to get rid of.

The minor changes thus far would be simply to evolve Grovyle to Sceptile BEFORE the Hoenn League. I like Grovyle, don't get me wrong, but starters take way too damn long to evolve in the anime, especially Sceptile, who didn't evolve until towards the tail end of Battle Frontier. Didn't like that, so we're gonna say he evolves during Juan's gym battle to give the audience a healthy balance.

Corphish evolving into Crawdaunt might upset someone lol. I even agree Corphish is just a better design- but I've always, I mean ALWAYS hated it when a Pokemon more than capable of evolving in the anime just... doesn't. Made no sense to me as a kid. It also just doesn't help that Corphish was probably one of my least favorites of the crew because of his annoying voice and attitude, so i wanted to give the good ol college try (i almost deopped out) and try to salvage it somehow. I only made it slightly better imo. I could see Corphish evolving into Crawdaunt after having to climb Mt Pyre and dealing with a bunch of Ghost types, gaining a Dark type move like Knock Off and eventually Crunch to make use of that extra typing.

The last big change for the Hoenn team is just completely replacing Glalie with Aggron. I don't remember how Ash caught Snowrunt or evolved it into Glalie, it just never felt right as a kid though. Like it just kinda came out of nowhere and doesn't really feel like an Ash Pokemon to me. I don't think it ever did any big battles, either? It was a late league addition that I remember he dumped with Torkoal at Oak's lab the moment the writers saw their chance.

Enter Aron, who imo would be caught on Dewford Island and be a much better replacement- and also a favorite of mine. Aron would be a bit timid at first, but his typing would make him Hella defensive in battle, which Ash would utilize often. He'd look up to Pikachu, Tailow, Treeko, Corphish, and Torkoal because of how they seem unafraid to fight. It wouldn't be until he evolves into Lairon, right before Flannery's gym fight, that he finally becomes brave enough to fight on his own. He'd be a pretty cheerful Pokemon but easily spooked by ghosts or invisible Pokemon, or just sudden noises, but Ash would take pretty good care of it. Max also takes up a habit of giving Aron, Lairon, and eventually Aggron a nice polish to his metal armor, which spooked him at first but became one of their favorite bonding experiences.

Lairon would finally evolve right before the league after being inspired by Sceptile to try harder, and in turn prevents Team Rocket from stealing a bunch of League goers' Pokemon. Also, it'd be at this point that- surprise! The gang finds out Aggron is a *girl,* and she apparently has a crush on Sceptile after his amazing fight with Juan. Aggron would be an amazing powerhouse to the team that would help carry Ash to the top 4, but she'd gain a strange habit of acting meek and shy around Sceptile, so double battles just didn't work from that point onward.

Interesting enough, it's not some nobody with a Meowth in cowboy boots that beats Ash. The Hoenn League would actually be double battle focused, and instead he'd have to fight a rather... peculiar trainer with a blue coat and a strange device on his arm.

This would be Wes, the same Wes from Colosseum, accompanied by Rui of course, and his team would be as follows

Wes ended up being granted special permission to participate in the Hoenn Pokemon League by Steven Stone after Wes managed to show his skills against Steven during a trip to Orre. He's not a jerk per se, but he's not friendly, either, except to Pokemon. Quiet and reserved, but a terrible liar according to genki Rui. Ash and Wes have a moment to bond after the two get lost in Victory Road during separate training sessions, and both came to a mutual respect, Ash even finding a talking point about how he has an Espeon of his own.

The league battle was tough. Ash brought his usual brand of Shenanigans and Team work, but Wes is a hardened double battler by necessity. Wes makes use of amazing combos and strategies- having a Raikou definitely doesn't hurt, either, which caught EVERYONE off guard with the flawless coordination of Mantine's Rain Dance and Raikou's Thunder, which would take out Pikachu and Swellow after an attempted Thunder Armor pt 2, and deal serious damage to Aggron, Sceptile, and Torkoal. In a moment of desperation, Torkoal learns Sunny Day and Sceptile learns Solar Beam, this combo being just what they finally need to defeat Raikou and Mantine. Sceptile would take down Misdreavus, but not before it uses Perish Song. Typhlosion would take out Torkoal with the boost from Sunny Day, and even take out Crawdaunt with the lessened power towards its water type moves, leaving the unfortunate combo of Sceptile and Aggron, who is of course still smitten by Sceptile. After seeing Sceptile get messed up, Aggron finally overcomes these feelings and takes out Typhlosion, leaving only Wes's Umbreon and Espeon left. Sceptile and Aggron put up a fight, but Perish Song finally takes out Sceptile, leaving Aggron alone and damaged. She puts up a good fight, but Umbreon and Espeon's teamwork just prove too much, and Aggron and Ash lose the league. Wes would go on to win the league, but not without giving Ash a solid congratulations for coming this far, since most people don't make that far. He would then tell Ash that if he's ever in the Orre region, they should have a rematch, and part on good terms.

The rest would go about as normal with Ash and Co returning to Kanto for a bit- but it's not long until Scott invites Ash to participate in the Battle Frontier challenge he has set up out towards the Sevii Islands. I chose this instead of Kanto as a good tie in to FRLG, whose only contribution with the Sevii Islands in the anime being Chronicles, where Richie meets an old man, a Chikorita, and a Salamence as they fight Moltres... speaking of old man Silver, tho- well first.

Coming back to Oak's lab, everyone meets Ash's old Pokemon. While there, Crawdaunt decides that he wants to party with Feraligatr for a while, and Torkoal starts helping Deliah, Mimey, and Primeape with baking, so Ash decides to give him a break with his Mom.

Of all Pokemon to come say hello, it's Ash's Slowpoke. When Misty comes to visit, she tells Ash about a King's Rock she found and gifts it to Slowpoke. A Shelder from a lake hops out and clamps onto Slowpoke's head, and Slowpoke evolves into Slowking. Slowking is now much smarter, and now he is so excited to actually be able to think that he wants to travel with Ash, so Ash gladly takes him. Slowking would finally get its chance to shine with powerful psychic and water type attacks, and even make use of Skill Swap to trip up enemies.

Donphan- still being pretty young, gently persuades Ash to take him as well, so Ash proceeds to take the gang with him to the Sevii islands to complete the Battle Frontier challenge. Donphan matures a lot and learns very powerful moves like Earthquake to help bring victory.

Meanwhile, May's contests are moved here as well.

Most of the journey through Sevii is about the same as original Battle Frontier, but with certain filler plot replaced with island relevant plot.

Since Mt Ember is on One Island, we'd do the Battle Factory challenge there and have the Frontier Brain use Moltres instead of Articuno, and in a twist of fate, Ash's Blastoise would show up to fight, showing off his new move: Hydro Cannon.

7 facilities, 7 Islands, no brainer. The islands are big enough to have a few episodes on each just traveling around anyway. I'd imagine Ash would reunite with Butterfree for a bit, the gang would run into Lorelei on 4 Island, even have encounters with Deoxys, the Latis, and even Mew.

There's another arc where Ash and Pikachu reunites with Richie and Sparky, and also meet Silver- no not the GSC rival.

This Silver from the Chronicles episode. It's been a long fan theory that he might know Ash somehow due to his reaction to Richie mentioning him, some even think he's Ash's father, but I think he's too old for that. Instead, we're canonizing him in this AU as Deliah's father, and thus Ash's grandfather (keep in mind in official canon, Deliah apparently had Ash when she was only 19, so this can track). Silver is of course pretty brash, but he and Ash get along famously. Silver tells Ash about how proud he is of Ash in his last few league matches, but couldn't attend due to being so far away- one of which was chasing the legendary birds, and is amazed to hear Ash beat Moltres quite recently.

Silver would sort of join the gang for a bit as a coach to both Ash and May- for Ash, he helps to really drive home better tactics for the kind of pokemon he uses and to really tune into their feelings on a deeper level, and for May he's actually quite adept at move combinations that can wow judges. He also gives sage yet crude advice to Max at times to really help him decide what he wants to do with his life someday, and the same to Brock- actually being the first to point out that Brock can't be a breeder if he doesn't even BREED pokemon, so that'd plant the seed for Brock to change career paths in Sinnoh.

Silver's training would help May evolve Blaziken and it would learn Blast Burn, Brock evolve Marshtomp into Swampert and teach it Hydro Cannon, teach Sceptile Frenzy Plant, and he even helps Max catch his first Pokemon- a Sentret.

And this is the team I'd imagine him having

Ash would be familiar with Gengar and Alakazam from his younger days, but the rest would be completely new. Salamance is his ace for sure and his main mode of transport, and he literally fought and wrestled Armaldo for dominance before catching it, and Houndoom is Silver's pupper he hatched from an egg a year ago. We'd get a bit of background for Chikorita, and it turns out he was abandoned for being weak, so Silver took him in and is training him visually so he'll be prepared for an actual fight some day, and then they plan to find and show up the loser that abandoned him- Chikorita has taken a bit of Silver's rough and tough personality, and Silver loves the little guy's spunk.

Continuing on-

The final battle in the Battle Pyramid would take place in the Tanobi Ruins on Seven Island, and Ash would of course employ similar tactics to fight Brandon with Pikachu and his Kanto starters.

However, despite how thrilling the adventures would be, it and Hoenn would be condensed a little, because there's one more adventure I wanna squeeze in before Sinnoh.

After Ash declines the offer to become a Frontier Brain, the gang see what appears to be Shadow Lugia in the sky. They end up chasing it all the way to 4 Island with Brandon, where Team Rocket (not Jesse or James, the organization) are teaming up with Cipher in order to learn about Shadow Pokemon.

Ash and the gang end up fighting against them, but in the midst of the chaos, Shadow Lugia shows its power and steals the SS Libra containing an entire hoard of stolen Pokemon, and Sceptile and Aggron get caught up on the ship. Ash and Pikachu bravely climb aboard as it takes to the sky, leaving Brock, May, Max, and the rest of Ash's knocked out Pokemon behind. However, Silver quickly gives chase on his Salamence.

Ash gets caught by Cipher aboard the ship, and he and his Pokemon get knocked out. Little do they know that they would be riding all the way to Orre.

...which will be pt 4 :D! Pt4 will be a custom arc based on Colosseum and XD, since the anime avoided that like the plague. I already wrote more than I intended. Sigh. Well, tomorrow will probably be more detailed.

absol: absol is known to forewarn disasters but bc of that is often associated w Causing Disasters and bad luck and listen i just rlly like chip as my little trauma boy. also absol cool as hell.

ampharos: ampharos is known in universe to act as a lighthouse for sailors! also chip's obligatory Full Evolution to try and balance him out w the others

dhelmise: It's A Sunken Ship Ghost Anchor can i make myself clearer

nidoran: i just think chip has a think for weak little bitch ass pokemon. like i was so tempted to give him so many Shitty Bug Types or whatever. BUT, instead as compromise i gave him a little bastard stubborn baby pokemon... who also has the potential to grow into a Fucking Beast (at least in gen 1) if you give it the time to grow and stick it out.

again, chip's is the one i feel is weakest as a team, but now onto NPCs smile.

In the Twst x Pokemon AU, what's your story? What's your team when you arrive in Twst? What region did you come from? Were you a champion, coordinator etc?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm going to assume that you mean me personally, not connected to the MC's in my posts.

Buckle your seatbelts, because this is kinda long. I kinda splurged while writing this.

Story

My home region would be Unova because it's my favorite region and it's based off America, which is my home country.

I like to think my journey would start after the plot of the Pokémon BW games, around the same timeline as Pokémon B2W2.

Because of the whole incident with Team Plasma, my parents wouldn't let me leave for my journey, so I'd start my journey later than others.

My mom's a teacher, so let's say that we moved to Asperita City (The hometown of the B2W2 MCs) to teach at the new trainer school.

According to this, my partner would be Riolu, so let's say I caught one in Floccesy Ranch.

I'd probably do gym battles for a while before realizing that I didn't care for them that much, so I'd probably either quit halfway or finish just to say I did the gym challenge.

Let's say I completed the gym challenge and won against the Elite Four, but didn't win against the champion.

My sister's a cosmetologist and she's always wanted to go to Paris, so I like to think that she'd be learning hair in Kalos in this au, and I decide to go visit her (after the gym challenge), where I get introduced to Pokemon Showcases.

I try a few, I get hooked, and decide to travel to Kalos and become a Pokémon performer.

After traveling around Kalos, I'd go to Hoenn to try the contests there and after Hoenn, I'd go to Sinnoh (Cue me simping over Cynthia).

I'd travel to the other regions too, but mostly for sightseeing or catching new Pokémon (I can promise you I would travel to Galar just to get an Alcremie).

Eventually, around the time I'd turn 18, I'd return home and try to bring contests to Unova.

I like to imagine my life after returning to Unova, trying to incorporate contests in the region, would be similar to White's work in the BW manga, where she runs an agency that provides Pokémonfor films, commercials, and other stuff.

Fun Fact: In the BW manga, White (the female mc) is responsible for the Pokémon Musical in Nimbasa City, and the musical was one of my favorite things from the game.

While in the midst of bringing contests to Unova, it's around this time that I'd be transported to Twisted Wonderland.

After my initial fear of being transported to another dimension, I would be so pissed because I got dragged to another dimension with a bunch of angsty teens while in the middle of my passion project.

Despite my dislike of the dorm, I'm positive that the Pomefiore boys would be interested in helping me with the contest project. Well, Vil and Rook would. Epel would be more interested in the battles.

New Pokemon Fanfic Idea

Disclaimer: While this is a 2-story AU fanfic idea, it is also going to have lots of speculation in it on the part of the latter story, as it is going to be based heavily in the world of the unreleased Pokemon Legends: Arceus game.

Also will have information from the anime, but I’ve only watch up to the beginning of the Kalos adventures and it’s been a while since I’ve watched the Sinnoh anime (or any of the anime, really), so I apologize for getting details wrong.

Here’s the idea: Basically, this is based on some artwork I did some weeks ago on DeviantArt of the Turtwig line, but recolored with purples, to reflect Paul’s color scheme, which came to mind after I finished BDSP.

Which then made me think of Paul somehow transforming into a Turtwig and filling the place of Ash’s Turtwig during Ash’s journey through Sinnoh. But he’s not there right away, just finds himself in the same place Turtwig was in the anime and kinda lost, until Pikachu comes around and Paul recognizes Pikachu. He tells Pikachu what he knows (not knowing how he got sent back in time or how he transformed into a Turtwig) and Pikachu suggests that Paul come with him and Ash so they can figure it out together. So, since he has no idea how to be a pokemon and really needs the help, Paul goes with Ash and Pikachu. He also refuses to stay in his pokeball so he travels out like Pikachu and Ash doesn’t mind.

The story after that follows Ash’s journey, but because Paul is now a ‘weirdly-colored Shiny’ and not Ash’s rival, either Ash isn’t really pushed like he was before or Barry comes in earlier to fill in that space. Which makes Paul concerned, because he should have been involved since the beginning, but his other self never shows up. And he doesn’t understand why until they get to Veilstone and meet Reggie.

Brock once again asks Reggie about the missing symbol (I believe that’s what happened in the anime) and Reggie kinda grows quiet and sad. Brock tries to backpedal, realizing that he may have made a misstep, but Reggie says it’s fine and explains so that they understand. Back when he was completing the Battle Frontier, Paul was a new trainer and travelling with him. It was while they were trying to find the Battle Pyramid that there was an accident and Paul was killed, so Reggie never took on Brandon because of the grief and just went home.

And just, Paul is in shock. He was dead? And he runs off to process this, followed by Pikachu to keep him company. Of course, this soon gets derailed when Team Galactic show up to get the meteors and Paul has to push away his feelings to deal with this. And when Galactic is driven off, he and Pikachu return to Ash, but he’s still confused and kinda depressed about his fate in this alternate timeline, so he doesn’t know if he wants to keep travelling with Ash or just stay with Reggie. At least, until Turtwig shows up.

Turtwig (The AU Paul’s Turtwig) recognizes him immediately. The pokemon ends up confused and crying too, until Paul explains his side of the story. And Turtwig understands what has to be done. Because, as much as this is Paul, it’s not his Paul. Paul was made into a Turtwig for a reason and he wasn’t going to get answers staying with Reggie, no matter how comforting it might be. So he urges Paul to keep going with Ash, because going out into the world on an adventure would give him better answers than just staying in Veilsone. And as much as Paul doesn’t want to, he follows Turtwig’s advice and stays with the group.

They continue travelling, following the anime story for the most part, and Paul eventually evolves into a Grotle, then Torterra (also continuing to refuse to be confined to a pokeball even as he gets slower and bigger). As he travels with the gang, Paul also begins to learn things, not just getting answers on his predicament. He learns what it means to be a pokemon, wanting to fight for your trainer instead of being ordered around like he was doing, and that Ash’s training style had merit, just like his own. Ash’s pokemon may not have been able to match Paul’s in pure power, but their belief in their trainer and Ash’s belief in them was what made the pokemon strong enough to eventually topple Paul’s team. And these new ideals help Paul change a bit. He’s still standoffish and a bit cold, but he’s thawed out a lot and now is more willing to ask for help and help others. Which, y’know, surprises him when he realizes the changes.

But his attitude isn’t the only thing that changes. Because he’s a pokemon, he also understands other pokemon and becomes friends with Ash’s team, and he learns just how much pain a pokemon can take before they can’t fight anymore. It makes him empathetic for his own team, and then saddened, because he doesn’t know if he’ll ever see them again. On their journey, he and Pikachu have looked and looked but have been unable to find any kind of answer to what happened to Paul. Until they meet Brandon in Snowpoint.

Pikachu gets the idea to ask the Regis if they have any idea of how to help Paul, since they’re old beings and all, but they have to go through the whole thing with Hunter J and Regigigas first. And after he first met Hunter J and her Salamence, Paul is holding a grudge, so he takes on Salamence by himself after goading it into attacking. It’s a really rough fight, especially since Paul is at a double disadvantage with typing and Salamence’s flamethrower, but he pushes through with some help and eventually gets the upper hand against Salamence before J flees (also might evolve to Torterra during the fight instead of in Sunyshore like canon).

Now that that’s over with, Pikachu and Paul ask the Regis. To their surprise, it’s Regigigas who has the answer, which is Arceus. And Paul has no idea how he managed to incur the wrath of the Alpha Pokemon, so he asks why. Regigigas then answers that it could just as easily be the efforts of Dialga and Palkia working together, being as they control time and space respectively, but they hate each other and neither can turn a human into a pokemon, so Arceus is the likely culprit. As for why this happened, Regigigas has no answer. The only way to know is to ask Arceus itself.

So they keep journeying until Arceus and the Jewel of Life happens. Paul sees this as their chance to ask why...until Arceus starts going on a rampage. So they go through the events of the movie and save Arceus, but because the Alpha Pokemon doesn’t believe in the words ‘stop and smell the roses,’ it leaves right after giving thanks to the humans in present day. And that leaves Paul angry. After all this time, he had the chance to ask, but then it was stolen from him because Arceus decided not to stand around. So Paul kinda has to vent at the forest for a bit after with his moves and is still kinda bitter throughout the rest of the journey, until they get to the Pokemon League Conference.

Paul panics, because he knows that Ash is going to switch out most of his pokemon for the upcoming battles and Paul doesn’t want to be one of them. So at first he asks Pikachu to ask Ash to keep Paul, then realizes Ash might not understand the request and tries running away. It’s not easy as a purple Torterra, but he manages. And when Ash and the gang finally catch up to Paul and figure out what’s going on, Ash lets Paul stay. That’s when Paul learns another lesson: Pokemon who love their trainers REALLY don’t want to be separated from them, and it makes Paul take a major introspection of himself. Was he losing himself because he had stayed a pokemon so long? Why did he want to stay with Ash if they weren’t going to keep looking for Arceus after the League? Why was he so afraid to be forced to leave Ash? And Paul doesn’t know how to answer these questions. But he pushes them into the back of his mind as the League starts and tries sorting them out in his own time with a little help from Pikachu and the other pokemon (who don’t know Paul’s secret like Pikachu does but they do their best to cheer up their friend).

Eventually, Paul ends up being Ash’s final pokemon in his major second-to-last fight, which is up against Barry, and they win, and Paul doesn’t know how to feel with them being so close to ending the League. But then they go up against Tobias and Paul manages to help take out Darkrai but it’s not enough and they still lose but Paul’s not mad about it. He’s been enjoying battling, even though he dislikes the pain that comes with it, but he gets it. You have to give blood, sweat, and tears before you win, don’t you? And Ash has help him achieve it, so he’s not mad. What he’s worried about, though, is what happens next. He knows Ash is going to go back to Kanto now, leaving Arceus and Sinnoh behind and Paul doesn’t know what he wants. Does he still want to travel with Ash, even if it means he’ll never be human again? Or does he want to go looking by himself and risk being caught and sold by people like Team Rocket or Hunter J? Ash answers that for him: They’ll look for Arceus.

Which, Paul is REALLY surprised at, because how did Ash know??? Paul was pretty sure Ash couldn’t understand him, until Ash explains that Pikachu told him everything, because Pikachu was his first partner. And it clicks with Paul, how things make total sense now. Typically people couldn’t understand pokemon, it just wasn’t possible. There were the few that said they could, and then there was the ‘First Pokemon Phenomena.’ It was a thing that typically happened with Trainers and the first pokemon they were partnered with, usually the starters, where the trainer would learn to understand what their partner said but couldn’t with other pokemon. So having Pikachu as Ash’s first pokemon, not just his favorite, it made more sense now. So after saying goodbye to Dawn and Brock, Paul, Ash, and Pikachu return to Michina Town to find another way to ask Arceus for help.

After Ash and Damos helped save Arceus, the Alpha Pokemon is more kind to people than before, and Ash thinks that Michina Town, since that was where they last saw Arceus, would give them to best shot of calling for the Alpha Pokemon. And it works. Arceus shows up, listens to their plea, and offers to take Paul back to his own universe and timeline, though it has no idea why he’s here in the first place. And then Paul says goodbye to Ash and Pikachu, tears in his eyes because he can’t thank them enough for how much they’ve changed and helped him, and blacks out.

When he wakes up, he’s Paul again, but he’s sore. And he’s not at home. He’s- At the hospital? And Reggie’s there, and explains what Paul’s memory is missing, which is that he had gone out to train not far from Veilstone, on Route 210, but something happened and his team ended up bringing a badly injured Paul home, where he’s been in a coma for MONTHS. Torterra’s also in the room despite the rules and leans on the bed so Paul doesn’t have to stretch too far to rub his head and nearly collapses the bed but that’s okay because Paul’s okay and Torterra is happy. Paul takes some moments to sort through the information and sees Reggie’s crying face and he just, he breaks down a bit. He never thought he’d be human again and he knows not to take his brother for granted so they hug and Reggie’s surprised but then they’re both crying and hugging and so no one comments on it.

But then, when they’re done with the sobfest, Reggie mentions that Ash is here, having just finished the Manalo Conference and learned what happened, and came for support. But he hasn’t left since which, y’know, means a bit more than it looks like. And Paul’s not sure how to take his rival showing up for support like this. But he’s stuck in the hospital for a while longer so he has lots of time to sort through things, and he ends up going outside one night to talk with his pokemon and tell them what happened and it helps them understand why he’s being so gentle now and that’s when Paul realizes that he’s got a holdover from his time as a Torterra: He can now understand all pokemon. And then he notices that Ash was around and heard everything, but he doesn’t react and lets him approach.

Ash doesn’t say anything for a while, just standing with Paul and the pokemon, then says that he was a pokemon too, for a short while. Paul asks, Ash answers about his adventure as a Pikachu for a week, and Paul laughs because, if you don’t have to fight or anything, you could enjoy the experience like Ash did. But he wasn’t so lucky, yet he got a better perspective than Ash did about their lives. And Ash laughs too because yeah, he was kind of a silly Pikachu, even if he couldn’t understand other pokemon like Paul could. And they talk a little more about their pokemon experiences, until Ash asks about why Paul’s being so nice and loose and Paul is still prideful enough not to admit it’s because of Ash’s influence and the friendship of the pokemon and so asks him to drop it, and Ash does.

Paul eventually has to go back to his room, but while he’s stuck in the hospital, he explains it all to Reggie and Ash visits more often and then Paul asks at one point if he could see Infernape again and apologize and Ash does. Infernape’s not sure how to take the apology from Paul, of all people, but he does accept the apology and Paul feels better about it, because the whole thing with Chimchar kinda ate him up inside as he grew as a person in the other world. And Ash did get a Chimchar like Paul, it was the same one actually, but Ash saved Chimchar from the Zangoose instead of what Paul did so, yeah.

And when Paul is finally allowed to leave, he stays a while with Reggie and Ash...doesn’t leave. So Paul takes the opportunity to ask to travel with Ash, and Ash agrees. But that’s just the end of the first story.

Second story: Ash and Paul have been exploring Galar for a while with Goh, but then come across Arceus (different than when Arceus appears in canon), who is going on a rampage and they don’t know why but it triggers something in Paul and he remembers what happened to him in the previous story, that resulted in his injuries and the pokemon adventure: Arceus attacked out of nowhere on a rampage and the only reason he didn’t die was because the Creation Trio showed up and drove Arceus away. And it’s happening again and Paul is left traumatized by the previous experience and can’t do anything, but Ash takes the initiative and tries to help Arceus.

They both get blasted and disappear with Pikachu and Torterra, only to end up in old Sinnoh (Hisui) and have to make their way through this new world as they try to figure out how to get back to their own time, what was going on with Arceus then, and what is happening in the region now because something’s up. And because they’ve been travelling together and have to work together to find a way home, Ash and Paul grow closer and it becomes Comashipping because that’s always been the endgame.

They help the Galaxy Team create the Pokedex (and only Ash accepts one of the starters, probably Cyndaquil because it reminds Ash of his own Cyndaquil/Quilava and because he helped it for some reason) and travel Hisui and they discover all sorts of new things. The crafting pokeballs reminds Ash of the GS Ball and it makes him wonder again what was stuck inside it while Paul actually bonds with the pokemon around the region and experiences the history he’s only every heard about in books.

Eventually they encounter Arceus again at the end of the story after finding out that Arceus has been infected by something that makes it rage out-of-control (that can spread to other pokemon, found out by poor Torterra, and it isn’t Pokérus) and then they save Arceus, who promises to send them back if they’ll cure him again, as the only cure can be made from plants in Hisui who have gone extinct in modern Sinnoh. Which then leads to cultivation in the present of seeds stolen away from that time so this doesn’t happen again and Ash and Paul continue travelling together and leaving Goh confused because, this time, there was no timeskip and so they just appeared in the same place where they left with no time change. And of course they don’t say anything, as nobody would believe them (even Reggie had a hard time believing Paul’s pokemon adventure, so they kinda don’t mention it to him).

a pokegirls au where jaune is a trainer along with ren. ren is more intrested in contests but jaune is a league trainer aiming for champion.

blake: dark type defiantly still a cat girl. jaune runs into her after he beats his first gym and rescues her from an abusive trainer. more to the point she gives him her pokeball and jaune just agrees to protect her. she was really prepared for the whole selling herself bit but it wasn't necessary. she was kinda disappointed (recommendations are welcome for the actual name of her pokemon. something dark and cat based would be best though i do like the idea of her being a poocheana lmao)

yang: bagon) ruby's half sister she's jaune's second pokegirl he didn't catch her though she just followed after him and her sister. jaune's sweeper for the most part when things go wrong she's the one who wins battles. eventually becomes a salamance after she learns to truly trust jaune

ren: best friend to jaune and a contest champ in the making he set off on his own journey with a wild nora that he caught with jaune and ruby's help

nora: wild pokegirl who's lived a hard life. utterly loves ren and jaune for bringing her into the life she has now. some sort of electric type or normal type. possibly a pikachu because i enjoy the idea)

white fang: a terrorist group dedicated to making the strongest pokegirl in the world through any means necessary. views friendship with their pokegirls as a weakness

salem: champion of the league possibly involved with organized crime and white fang in particular

ozpin: the professor for jaune's story

vale region: based off of rural America/ Canada. no actual gyms most places are run by a militia of trainers and their pokegirls. you have to beat each sheriff in the town to be allowed to take on the champion of the region. the champ is expected to protect the areas should the militia and sheriff fail.

Virgil and Logan are risky siblings who look for creepy, cool, maybe haunted buildings in their town. One day, they come across a large abandoned house that looked like it was pulled out of the Victorian era and thrown into the middle of Florida. Logan and Virgil quickly discover the place is haunted. But they're not the usual creepy, evil ghosts you normally think of...

*sigh* I'm trying. Some of my motivation is coming back though. It's slow, but happening. I'm now on an extra medication to help boost my deteriorating mental health. Though the timing also has given me a big boost. Pride month has arrived, and my birthday just went by! I feel more adulty now! Kinda...

Anyway, this fanfic is somewhat of an AU that I threw together on the spot. I hope you like it!

Logan and Virgil were looking around with their flashlights, admiring the very old-looking house. It was HUGE! And quite run down. There were dirt stains all over the place, papers covered in water, and furniture filled with dust that rested there for decades. It felt unusual...and yet so mysterious!

“Hey Logan, look!” Virgil called.

Logan looked over and noticed a large dresser covered in a collection of porcelain dolls. He widened his eyes and adjusted his glasses. “W-Well...that’s not creepy whatsoever…”

“I recognize Anne of Green Gables up there…” Virgil mentioned, shining his light to the porcelain doll with ginger braided hair, and a sun hat with flowers on her head.

“There’s so many Victorian Porcelain dolls. And a couple french porcelains as well!” Logan reacted.

“Don’t forget that baby porcelain doll…” Virgil added, pointing to the baby-faced porcelain doll with red cheeks, and a night gown with a bonnet on its head. Logan shook his head to get the thought out of his mind and tried to move on.

Logan looked up at the huge roof and noticed the huge chandelier in the middle of the room. It was covered in pearls and glass...it was even reflecting and shining brightly as he shined the flashlight onto it! It must’ve been a beautiful piece of decoration before the home was abandoned.

“Whoa...look at that chandelier!” Virgil reacted. “It’s like a disco ball from the silent era!” Virgil added.

Logan giggled at his comparison. “You’re not wrong.”

Logan and Virgil walked around the Victorian-style house a bit more, and noticed there were still stuffed animals, pillows, and even flowers placed casually around the house as if it was still being decorated. “Interesting…” Logan muttered.

“That’s not the only room that’s decorated all fine and dandy…” Virgil mentioned from the dining room. Logan walked to where Virgil was and immediately noticed what he was talking about: all the cutlery were set up in their places on the table perfectly. But the napkins were folded into little napkin flowers to hold the cutlery. Though it was strange and technically inaccurate, it did add some flair to the usual style of set up.

“I wonder who would’ve did this…” Logan asked out loud.

“Maybe someone who likes their victorian history?” Virgil asked.

“Perhaps…Or an especially preppy person.” Logan added.

“Hmmm...Maybe both?” Virgil asked. “How about ghosts? Have you considered ghosts in your hypothesis?” Virgil asked.

Logan laughed. “Of course I have! That’s one of the reasons why we’re doing this!��� Logan reacted. “I wanna see if spirits really do exist and if they’re more humble than the movies give them credit for.” Logan explained.

“You’ve officially hit the triple digits in times you’ve explained this to me.” Virgil muttered loudly. “I know. And it’s why I go with you. Because not all ghosts are as humble as you think. Most ghosts have probably gone insane from years of being stuck in the same place for centuries.” Virgil added.

“Right back at you with the triple digits thing. I already know, Virgil.” Logan mentioned.

Virgil smiled at himself as he looked around. That conversation usually happens at least once a trip. It’s quite funny when you think about it. Two brothers trespassing into old homes, checking to see if they’re haunted and then doing the pikachu face when something spiritual and ‘creepy’ happens.

Or when the police find them...that’s usually a ‘surprise’ in and of itself.

Logan looked around further and moved to one of the bedrooms. The bedroom was put together as well. All covered in dust, but still quite put together. There was a doll clothed and brushed, holding a teddy bear on the bed. Logan opened the dressers and noticed all the dressers except for the top, were empty. The top drawers were filled with old keys, old fashioned money, old paint brushes, a few jars of ink and...feathers? Why feathers? Were they meant to be quills? Because the end of them certainly didn’t look like quills.

Logan raised an eyebrow as he picked up the quill and raised it up a little. The quill didn’t have the usual fitted bottom that Victorian quills usually had. And even if it were a regular quill, it would’ve been cut at the bottom to make the suitable end for dipping and writing. But...this quill was just a normal, uncut feather. Perhaps it was just spare feathers for future writing? Logan couldn’t say. He never lived here, after all.

Virgil turned around and immediately noticed that one of the paint brushes was moving in the drawer. And it wasn’t just ‘casual shifting from force’, it was flying! He swore he could see it flying right now!

“L-Lo?” Virgil called.

Logan turned to face him, and noticed the paintbrush as he turned. “Yes Vir- OHGOD.” Logan stared deeply at the paintbrush and slowly reached out to grab it. “Hiiii there, floating paintbrush…” He greeted the object nervously.

The paintbrush moved itself back and forth in a waving motion right back. Hey...It was trying to wave back! Cool! Virgil walked closer and poked the brush curiously. “Not bad...Guess we know the place is haunted...By Casper the friendly ghost.” Virgil teased.

The brush jumped in surprise, and flew closer to Virgil. “Hey little buddy. What are you up to?” Virgil asked.

Then, the brush snuck itself into Virgil’s shirt collar! Virgil jumped and tried to get it out, but the brush kept moving away from the hand and started moving to Virgil’s upper ribs. Virgil giggled as the feather-like bristles flickering across his ribs. “Whahahat thehehe-” Virgil squealed as he felt the paintbrush move past his abs and into his belly button.

“I...Goodness, I’m so confused.” Logan admitted.

Virgil tried to cover up his belly from the brush but the moment the brush noticed his distinctive defense attempts, something had grabbed him! Something invisible had grabbed Virgil’s wrist and started holding it up above his head! Virgil shrieked as he tried to pull his arm down with no success.

“LET ME GO- BAAAHAHAHAHAHA!” Virgil shrieked and bursted out laughing more. “STAHAHAHAP! WHYHYHYHY?!” Virgil asked, pulling on his arm as his exposed armpit was being tickled with the brush.

Logan started to smile as he watched. He started to wonder if he could feel the ghost. So, Logan cracked his knuckles and reached out beside Virgil’s exposed right arm to feel for a ghost. But to his surprise: He couldn’t feel anything. “Where are you, oh mischievous one?” Logan asked.

This ‘name’ Logan used, earned him a taste of the tickles as well. Logan gasped as his eyes fell onto a pair of floating brushes and feathers. Logan’s curious look quickly morphed into a wobbly grin as the realization computed into his brain. “O-Oh...Oh boy...That’s not good, now is it?” Logan asked.

This was the last thing Logan asked before he was forced into a fit of tickly hysterics. The feathers were so light and...feathery that the tickles felt stronger than they really were! Why did the tickles feel so strong?

“AAAHAHAHAHAHA! STAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIT TIHIHIHICKLEHEHES!” Logan begged.

The brushes and feathers paused for a moment. One of the feathers turned the pen-like bottom to face Logan’s belly, and flew down. The feather started casually writing letters onto his belly! Logan giggled and snorted at this. It felt kinda sharp, but tickled enough to get him giggling again. “Hehehehehey!”

The feather stopped, moved itself to the left side of Logan’s belly, and started rewriting the letters all over again! Logan squeaked and was right back to giggling. “Dohohohon’t stahahart ahahagahain!” Logan begged.

The feather stopped writing...dragged itself to the left side and restarted the cursive. Logan groaned a little as the writing went back to the Y it started with. But instead of trying to protest this time, Logan tried to stay quiet and understand the letters that were relaying a message to him:

[Y-O-U-R - L-A-U-G-H - I-S - S-O - C-U-T-E] The feather wrote.

Logan’s face went bright red the moment he properly interpreted that.

The worst part was that the ghost just kept writing teases! Like:

and [G-I-G-G-L-Y S-U-S-A-N-N-A].

Meanwhile, Virgil was hugging his belly and laughing as his feet were attacked. A ghost was using a comb to tickle the bottom of his feet and telling by Virgil’s inability to pull away, one of the ghosts must’ve been holding onto his foot.

“NAHAHAT THE FEEHEHEHEHEET! IHIT TIHIHICKLEHEHES SOHOHO MUHUHUCH!” Virgil begged.

The ghost must’ve seen that Virgil needed something lighter, because the comb was soon set aside and replaced by an old fashioned feather duster. Yes...old fashioned, meaning it was made with real feathers at the end. Virgil squeaked at the look of it, and covered his mouth. Oh no! His squeak gave away the fact that he was nervous!

The feather duster ignored his squeak and moved closer and closer to Virgil’s foot. Virgl tried to tug, but it wouldn’t move away, and though it didn’t feel like anything, there was something invisible preventing him from pulling his foot away. Soon, the feather touched down and started wiggling all over the place as Virgil’s laughter and snorts filled the room.

The feather shook up and down as if the ghost was giggling at Virgil’s reaction. Then, Logan looked on as a soft-bristled brush from the early 1900’s moved closer and closer to his sides. Logan giggled just at the thought of the ticklish brush returning to his sides, and started wiggling around all over again. Was this really happening? Was Logan’s creepy expedition to a Victorian house really turning into being tickled and messed with by the spirits?! Why?? Why did the spirits wanna tickle him? Was it fun for them? Were they always this mischievous? If so, how has nobody found this out until now?!

Logan gasped as the brushes touched down on his belly and ribs. Logan squealed and started full out laughing this time! His ribs were much more sensitive to the softer bristles of the brush. It tickled so badly! It felt like a million bristles were tickling his rib bones all at once! And it didn’t help that both sides were being attacked! No matter how much he squirmed to get away, the bristles would just tickle more from his instinctive wiggling!

Logan looked over at Virgil, who was covering his face as the pointy side of a feather wrote teases on his belly. The feather duster had been placed aside for the moment so, he guessed, the ghost could tease him more. “Cohohome ohohon! Ihihihi’m nahahat thahahat cuhuhuhute!”

Yup! It wanted to tease him more. That last sentence confirmed it.

Logan giggled at his reaction. “Yehehess yohohou ahahare!”

Virgil squeaked. “LOHOHO SHUHUT UHUP!” Virgil shouted, uncovering his likely red face. It was hard to see if his face was actually red due to the lack of light, but Logan could easily assume that Virgil was blushing up a huge storm. It was really cute to listen to!

Virgil couldn’t take it anymore! He had to roll away to get away from them. “STAHAHAP, PLEHEHEASE!”

The feather stopped its feather and moved away. Virgil clutched his own stomach and rolled onto his side into the fetal position. He was such a flustered mess!

The ghost put the feather onto a nearby desk and moved over to a bookshelf. The ground was so covered in dust, that you could see dusty footprints with dust bits popping up while they walked! The ghost grabbed a big scrapbook and placed the scrapbook onto the kitchen table. Logan got up slowly and walked to Virgil. “Hey Virgil: they have photos.” Logan told him.

Virgil pushed himself up onto his feet and walked to the kitchen table. “Whoa...They really do.”

The scrapbook had many photos of a few adults. One of them was an adult with a light blue shirt on, that had 2 kids with him. “Whoa...Is this you?” Logan asked.

The ghost picked up a pair of glasses and showed them. Logan looked at the glasses, and replaced his own glasses with the ghost’s. They still had a bit of a prescription, but Logan’s prescription was much stronger compared to the ghost’s. “Huh...you were nearsighted.” Logan muttered. “He couldn’t see far away.” Logan added.

“Weird.” Virgil reacted. “And where are the kids?” Virgil asked.

The ghost handed out papers and used markers to write the names. “Twin #1” was on one paper, “Twin 2#” was on another, and “Dad” was on the last. Logan smiled bittersweetly. They were a family who had died within the house. But they stuck together even after their deaths.

“What are your names?” Logan asked as he changed back into his regular glasses.

The ghost grabbed the end of the marker and pointed to the scrapbook. Logan looked around, and didn’t see any indication of a name or three. But, Logan pulled out the photo and soon found the names on the back. “Easter 1940. Remus and Roman (twins) and Patton (Dad). Happy to be alive!” was written on the back of the scrapbook picture.

Logan looked at the ghosts and back at the scrapbook. But Logan quickly did a double take when he realized the ghosts had tickle tools in their hands again! One had the feather duster from earlier, one had two feathers, and the last one had the hairbrush and a paintbrush!

Uh oh! That’s not good!

Logan yelped and lifted Virgil’s jaw up. The moment Virgil saw the tools again, the emo practically sunk down in a flustered frenzy! Not this again! He was still flustered and blushy from the last time!

Logan couldn’t help but giggle nervously as the evil little tickle monster ghosts made their way closer and closer to Logan and Virgil. They actually didn’t mind being their ticklish entertainment! They often tickled each other out of brotherly love because they both knew each other liked it. Virgil loved melt spots along with being teased to oblivion, while Logan loved much softer tickles that drove him up the wall with hysterics!

Logan squeaked and covered his neck the moment he felt cold, ticklish finger flutters against it. It felt airy, but made enough of a feeling to tickle him! And it drove him NUTS! “NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PLEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!” Logan begged.

The ghost just kept going in that one spot, as if it was the greatest ticklish spot in the whole universe! Logan’s voice was cackling, laughing and snorting. It could not choose what it really wanted.

Virgil was giggling as a hairbrush was brushing his belly and sides. Virgil was somewhat limited in his wiggling abilities, which made Logan wonder if one of the kids was sitting on top of him while tickling him. Whatever the kid was doing, it was working better than expected! “IHIHIT’S SOHOHOHO BAHAHAHAHAD! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! EEHEHEHEHEHE QUIHIHIHIT IHIHIHIHIT!” Virgil begged.

Logan squeaked and yelped as a paintbrush made its way to Logan’s belly button. OH NO...THAT’S A DEATH SPOT!

Logan’s wheeze filled the room for only a few minutes before his laughter went silent. The tickle monster ghost noticed the change in laughter, and lessened the tickles a bit. But it didn’t fully stop. “......aAHA! AAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHahahahahahaha! Ehehehehehehehehe- Thahahahank yohohohou.” Logan replied.

The feather moved back to Logan’s belly and started writing with the pokey side. [N-O P-R-O-B-L-E-M K-I-D-D-O]

Logan giggled at the nickname. Since when is he considered a ‘kiddo’? He’s never been the kiddo in the family! That’s always been Virgil.

Virgil smiled. “Patton...I like that.” Virgil admitted.

The feather moved to Virgil’s back and started writing more letters. [Y-O-U A-R-E M-Y S-O-N N-O-W]

Virgil bursted out laughing at the words written. “Whahahat? Since when?”

Logan tilted his head with a smile. “What did he say?”

Virgil looked at Logan. “He said I’m his new son.” Virgil said with a giggle.

Logan laughed. “We’re brothers! Does that mean I’m part of the invisible family now too?” Logan asked.

Logan watched as the feather wrote on his own back. [Y-E-S]

Logan gasped. “I have a ghost father now! And ghost brothers!” Logan declared.

Virgil laughed at this specific declaration. Looks like they’ve come out of this experience with an unofficial adoption into a centuries-old family of three.

In Wrong Kinda Pikachu!au it’s actually Plumeria who parents Ash, Nanu is just the legal guardian and weird ass and lazy uncle. She accidentally stumbled into Ash at one of Ula’ula’s farmer markets when she wasn’t have a good morning. The grunts were being particularly annoying and Guzma’s ego took up to much space in the thrashed mansion. She just needed to go out and get herself a treat.

Ash had tripped when he walked backwards, to get out of the way for a Furfrou, and slammed into Plumeria’s back. Ku somehow ending up on her shoulder as he reached down to steady his partner before his head could hit the ground. It was a mess for a moment, especially since the movement made Plum smash her malasada.

She took one look at the bowing Kantonian boy, and then looked to Ku who was obviously assessing her, then to the ‘I love dark types’ t-shirt under his jacket that’s obviously seen better days. She perused her lips and asked if Ash was sorry then he’d buy her and her Pokémon partner fresh malasadas and have a talk with her.

She had gained a son/little brother that day that loved poison types just as much as she did, just like dark types and all the other unlovable types. It was… freeing and breathtaking, especially when her Salazzle not only adored Ash but started to baby Ku. Much to the Mimikyu’s awkwardness who’s never been treated like this outside of Ash.

Couldn’t get this out if my head - Brother AU where Yata and Munakata are half brothers. I just can’t get the reactions of everyone finding out. Like say during group missions with red and blue if it looks like Yata is about to be injured Munakata will jump in to be big brother and save Yata. Which in turn confuses some squad members to spark rumors of them dating. Cue Fushimi who has a freak out and doesn’t know how to ask if they are true or not. The stress gets amplified when Munakata tries to get lunch with his little brother cause that’s what a big brother does. And that since Munakata is the big brother he is allowed to call Yata “Misaki-kun” (Yata does not see it this way). Or that he’ll stop by HOMRA and Yata’s part time jobs to check up on him. It eventually comes to head when one member of the blues decided that enough is enough and that Yata should be more considerate other feelings and he should treat who he’s dating better. They rally the troops and go off to find Yata who’s walking around with the rest of the HOMRA crew and confront him. This leads to Yata having to scream at them that he is not dating their boss that would just be gross. Cue blue member asking back wants wrong with our captain anyone would want to date him. Yata feeling attacked bites back I’m not into incest that’s why before going red in the face embarrassed. Shocked and confused pikachu faces. Yata explains your captain’s my brother before leaving to go into hiding. The two squads part ways with everything making a little more since and when the blues get back they pass the information around that no the two are not dating and that they are brothers. Fushimi goes from relieved that Misaki is not dating he annoying captain to anxious that Misaki and the captain are related (Sarumi for the win...sorry). The blues now understand the relationship and the reds now have jokes like “you brother poached your boyfriend” or “hmm you better go say hi to your big brother” whenever they see Munakata out. Idk I just couldn’t get this idea and several others out of my head and was wondering your take on the different reactions of the two clans or how they all find out.

I am honestly very amused by the idea of the clans assuming Munakata and Yata are dating only to find out that they're related and probably thinking why does the idea of them dating suddenly feel like the more realistic one. Like say Munakata's always wanted to be a doting big brother to Yata but Yata's never liked him, like imagine by the time they are aware of the other's existence Munakata's already in high school preparing for college (oh maybe Munakata was the result of like Yata's dad having an affair before Yata was born too and he finally decided to leave Yata's mom for his mistress and so Yata also kinda dislikes Munakata for that even though he technically didn't have anything to do with it). Munakata never gets the chance initially to do much with his younger half brother, he only meets Yata like once before going to college and it's not until he becomes the Blue King and sees who the members of Homra are that he's very intrigued to discover his little brother has been busy in his absence.

Of course Munakata has always secretly wanted to be a big brother himself and now he's like determined to foster some brotherly affection between himself and his unruly younger sibling. Yata has no interest in this whatsoever and he also doesn't want anyone to know that he and Munakata are related because how uncool would it be for him as a member of Homra to be the younger half brother of the stupid Blue King. This does not stop Munakata from trying to be the best big brother he can be, which leads to moments such as Munakata noticeably stepping in to save Yata from being attacked by a Strain during some mission where Homra and Scepter 4 ran into each other, or giving Yata special attention whenever they run across each other (also he doesn't stop Fushimi from riling Yata up but maybe he keeps trying to encourage Fushimi in his own way to be more honest with his feelings, like a good big brother he wants to help his sibling find love too). He also refers to Yata within earshot of other clansmen as 'Misaki-kun' which is what really gets the rumor mill going, like did you hear the Blue King and Homra's Yata Misaki are on a first name basis with each other.

The Scepter 4 and Homra rank and file are soon all gossiping about it and of course Fushimi hears it eventually too. At first he blows it off as ridiculous but then imagine he hears Munakata call Yata 'Misaki' too and he's confused and irritated and doesn't know why the idea of this upsets him so much. Meanwhile imagine one day Yata runs across some Scepter 4 guys and he can't resist making some comment about their stupid King, the S4 alphabet are pissed that Yata could speak so cruelly of his supposed boyfriend. A few other members of Homra and Scepter 4 happen to be in earshot as the arguing progresses, the S4 boys thinking Yata needs to be ore grateful and is this how you treat someone in your type of relationship while Yata's mad thinking Munakata told everyone that they're brothers and that's the type of relationship they mean. He's like that guy's always smothering me and trying to act like we're close, the S4 boys are like so you don't even think you're close to the guy you're dating. Yata's immediately like what the fuck we're not dating we're brothers you sickos a moment before he realizes that no one actually knew and now he just told everybody his 'big secret.'

This of course opens a whole new can of worms for Yata, on the Homra side while no one questions his loyalty I'm sure the Homra guys can't resist teasing him sometimes about being 'the Blue King's baby brother.' The Scepter 4 guys like to use this to taunt Homra with too, like shouldn't you show respect to your vanguard's more successful brother. Fushimi is initially still a little bewildered by all this but I can totally see him using it as ammo to taunt Yata too, like noting Munakata got all the height in the family (and meanwhile Munakata's probably continuing to try and get the two of them to reconcile and finally admit their feelings, if only so he has an excuse to suggest that Fushimi also call him 'big brother'). Munakata only knows that Yata told everyone they're brothers so he assumes this must mean Yata has embraced the strength of their filial bonds at last and he's even more eager to bond as siblings should, poor Yata is like I should have just said we were dating.

Why I like them:

when i say ive laid awake in my bed just thinkin bout their design i mean it. i fuckin LOVE their design so much. theres just so much good about it and they are always a joy to draw. the horn design is super unique and ill be honest, it surprised me plenty when i saw it for the first time. i was skeptical about it for more than one reason but after first attempt at drawin them i fell in love. the cloak is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, design of the legs and tail is a joy to behold, the color palette is Absolutely Great because it just screams “this is ave!! aves design!!! theirs!!!!! its them!!!!!!” because them sunset colors are just your trademark. i am Very impressed with the choice to make the masks yellow tinted, like,,,, id be afraid to go that way if only because of the possible connections to radiance. i also ADORE their personality, they just carry this 17 year old awkward kid who also would tots rock somebody outta the dimension with fashion choices or just One Singular Look cuz the Bitch Just Exists Like That

2. when they lost their lowest pair of wings, it hindered their flight capabilities a lot. theyve struggled for a While, but figured out how to fly with just four. even after all the troubles, they are an amazing flyer, maybe as close as dragonflies are. they are fast, but need to work on steadiness during it. they know their limits and probably enjoy the rush of wind around them (i may be completely wrong with these tho)

So we have. Lucario. As a human. Possibly named after an actual Pokemon Lucario, idk. He's still Aaron's apprentice—trains under him at the castle to become an aura user. However, human Lucario is like. 15, making his connection to Aaron that much more powerful bc he's pretty much baby and Aaron's in his mid twenties practically raising this kid by himself. Lucario views Aaron as kind of a father/guardian figure? He's still so uptight at this point tho;; and he views Lady Rin as a mother (which. Is. SOFT). Rin and Aaron might be in love, it's hard for Lucario to tell, he doesn't Romance. He just focuses on his aura training. Pssh.

Fast forward to the time of the Big Pokemon War. Aaron realizes the only way to stop the fighting is to go find Mew at the Tree of Beginning. However he knows that this is a huge sacrifice—and knowing how loyal Lucario is to him, Aaron knows he'll follow him and be subjected to the same fate. And Aaron's like—Lucario is just a kid, you know? He still has so much more to experience and live for. So while it fucking breaks his heart to shatter Lucario's trust in him (for the time being) and totally ruin his father figure status, Aaron "betrays" Lucario and traps him inside the staff. It's some crazy magic aura crystal thing that seals something inside of it, whether it be a Pokemon, human, spirit, or whatever else. At this point it's also for Lucario's safety—bc nothing can really touch him while he's in there, and they're in the middle of a war, so yeah it's just really good timing and planning to protect his kid. However Aaron, being the adorable himbo dumbass he is, kinda forgets that this is an aura crystal, and therefore needs aura to "unseal" it essentially, which would set Lucario free. Unfortunately after Aaron goes to the Tree and gives up his life to stop the war (cue Titanic music) there's not really any other aura user around. They're pretty rare, even way back then;; so Lucario falls into a deep slumber, being sealed, and is kept there for about 1000 years.

And then!! Ash fucking Ketchum enters the picture!!

Lucario is suddenly woken because he senses Aaron's aura nearby. Absolutely pissed at Dad for leaving him behind, Lucario escapes from the staff and goes to attack, but stops when he realizes Dad is actually not Dad, it is adorable 14 year-old boy who has a similar aura to Aaron. Cue a very disgruntled teenager running through the palace, totally out of place and confused. Eventually he's stopped by Lady Ilene, who explains what's going on. Naturally Lucario's heartbroken—not only is his master/dad/guardian dead, but so is his mother figure, and everybody else he'd once known in the castle. Bc Ilene looks so similar to Rin, Lucario takes comfort from her. Ilene does her best to console him and asks if he'll do her a favor. He leaps at the chance to make her happy—apparently he's a sucker for getting good Parent Figures to like him—and agrees to go help Ash and co. find Pikachu at the Tree of Beginning.

Instead of Lucario doing the Naruto run ahead of the group (which like. How the fuck is he so fast...) he actually sits in the car in the passenger's seat with Kidd doing the driving for him, bc hell if a human can run for that long and not be totally wiped out afterward (also he just woke up from a 1000 year nap. Yeahhh. Not gonna happen.) Also baby has no idea what the fuck a car even is so he's a bit nervous around it, and Kidd's like "Um yeah no I'm not letting you drive. Just tell me where to go" so Lucario uses his aura to lead her. Things progress p much the same way, with Lucario getting strangely attached to Ash despite not wanting to, at all, but it's hard because Ash is just Perfect and a Good Boy and pretty much gives Lucario the sort of attention he craves. Eventually tho that all comes to a head when Ash brings up his friendship with Pikachu. Lucario's still bitter about Aaron and honestly can't bring himself to trust any of them—and is pissed at himself for having taken a liking to Ash despite that—so that leads into their giant fight in the first step of their enemies to lovers trope. Ha. Even so, he still gets consoled by Max (and is given CHOCOLATE!! Which is the most fucking heavenly thing he's ever tasted), and witnesses Ash unable to sleep bc of his honest worry for Pikachu. Lucario does some Deep Thinking to himself about his relations to the group.

The next day, the group activates the Time Flower that recorded Aaron's entire abandonment of Lucario. Believe it or not being a young kid in training for a war tends to give you a bit of trauma, so Lucario freaks out a little and starts attacking the hollow projections of the enemy Pokemon. Ash manages to calm him down. Lucario collapses and asks why Aaron had abandoned him. What did he do wrong? Why would Aaron turn against the kingdom? Why did Aaron trap him in the staff? He doesn't know shit and it's frustrating. Ash comes up to him and apologizes, and as soon as the waterworks turn on Lucario's like oh nooo. Oh NOOOO. Here's this boy laying his heart out on his sleeve and is so honest and open and sincere that he can't help but feel awful for how he treated him. Lucario immediately forgives Ash and is like "I will now protect you with my life" bc Ash is baby and Lucario realizes for the first time!! He's made an actual friend with somebody that isn't his dad or the queen! And if he's friends with Ash that means he can be friends with Brock and May and Max and Kidd too. The prospect is EXCITING. He can trust these people now, he knows, because they saw what happened and they believed him about Aaron. They're choosing to side with him over the "kingdom's hero" and that honestly means a lot—it's a huge commitment and Lucario's just. Super grateful that he has a group of people backing him up. Lucario promises himself that he'll reunite Ash and Pikachu, bc if he were given the chance he'd reunite with the people he once held dear too. Ash and Pikachu really care about each other and Lucario admires and respects that a lot and he wants to make Ash happy so!! He's like. It is my personal mission to see that we find Pikachu successfully. And Ash is just like :'D !!! And it's that moment when Lucario realizes that he might like Ash a biiit more than he originally thought he did. Huh.

Literally not even 30 seconds after that revelation Regirock attacks and Lucario almost has a fucking aneurysm because he JUST made friends with these people!! And now they're going to get killed if he's not careful! Story of his life. He immediately shifts into Protect Ash Mode™ and hurries everyone to safety. Things are crazy. Lucario has too much of a burden on his shoulders. He's stressed. But Ash is with him and that makes things a little bit better so he focuses on getting them to where they need to go and protecting them along the way. Big job for such a young kid. Whew!!

Traveling through the Tree of Beginning, weird antibodies keep voring people, and it's not fun. At one point Lucario takes the bullet for Kidd, but is mysteriously released (probably bc of his aura and his connection to Aaron, who gave up his life, which gave energy to the tree and to Mew. So there's a connection there. The tree kinda sees Lucario as one of its own.) Finally, finally! Ash and Pikachu are reunited! Lucario can immediately sense how close they are and how much of a bond they have. Seeing someone with so much history with Ash makes Lucario a bit shy around Pikachu, but it’s cool, they warm up to each other eventually!

Right after this, Ash and the others find out that May, Brock and Max were devoured by the antibodies. Lucario barely has any time to grieve for them before the Regis burst in and essentially trap him as Ash and Kidd are attacked by the cells next. Lucario watches in absolute horror as Ash is swallowed up. It’s like Aaron all over again—and this time it’s worse because Ash hadn’t done anything wrong, and Lucario had really come to trust him and admire him as a person. It’s absolutely fucking heartbreaking. He watches in hollow-eyed despair as Pikachu and Ash’s other Pokemon cry over him. Everything sucks. The world is a nightmare. Lucario almost wishes he’d gotten swallowed too. Why is it always him that’s the last one standing, the only one left, the remainder to deal with the carnage and the loss by himself? Then Mew performs its voodoo magic and lo and behold!! Ash and the others are miraculously revived! Lucario is absolutely overjoyed and relieved. It’s then that he realizes he’d be absolutely devastated if he lost Ash for good—even more so than Aaron. At this point he’s kinda come to terms about Aaron’s death, though it still hurts because there’s so many questions left unanswered.

Of course right after this Mew collapses and everything goes to shit again. Great. (Can he get like five seconds to maybe just breathe?? Idk.) At the center of the Tree of Beginning, Lucario finds Aaron’s gloves and things start to click into place. Maybe...the stories were true? Lucario activates the Time Flower there and realizes what Aaron had done, his noble sacrifice, and why he couldn’t bear to get Lucario involved. Lucario breaks down in tears bc he’s so relieved and yet so unbearably sad. Aaron was like his father. Someone who cared for him so immensely and deeply. Aaron urged Lucario to continue on and live his life to the fullest—that’s what he wanted for him, after all. But at this point Lucario isn’t sure if he can. Mew needs saving, after all.

Lucario decides he’ll follow in Aaron’s footsteps and save Mew, no matter how sad it makes him to have to leave his new friends so early. Ash immediately protests, along with Kidd, and Lucario tells them that it’s a risk he has to take, just like Aaron. Mew and the Tree need his power more than ever now, and he can’t just abandon them. He starts to pour all of his aura into Mew, but it’s not enough. Ash puts on Aaron’s gloves and jumps in, deciding to help out. Lucario is grateful but also very panicked because Ash literally just came back to life—he couldn’t bear losing him a second time, especially since he already lost Aaron. Lucario tries to bump him out of the way but Ash absolutely won’t let him!! If they’re going down they’re going down together. Ash tells him that he can’t watch Lucario take on the burden by himself over and over—that he wants to split the weight and make things even. Cue a very emotional tense moment between two boys about to sacrifice their lives together. Neither of them want the other to die, but they don’t really have a choice. Mew absorbs their power and then…

Lucario wakes up.

And he’s alive. Holy fuck!! (There’s no fucking way I’d kill him nope not happening not this time bitches)

Apparently splitting the burden of giving one’s life energy to another with a second person eases the consequences—leaving both Ash and Lucario alive (which makes him realize that if he’d gone with Aaron all those years ago and split the burden, both of them would have lived. But strangely Lucario wouldn’t trade that opportunity for what he has now.) Ash literally jumps on him and hugs him so tight he nearly dies a second time, but it’s fine. It’s a good way to go.

The tree is safe, and so is Mew. Ash rejoins the others, bringing Lucario with him. They all have a merry little reunion, and then head back to the castle together.

At this point, Ilene thanks Lucario for all he’d done—for Ash and co. and for the tree and Mew. She then sets Lucario free—saying he can do whatever he wishes, he can follow any path in life he wants to now! Suddenly there’s a whole world full of possibilities, and that world is there for him to explore. He can practically hear Aaron encouraging him to take a step into the unknown, journey to his heart’s content, make tons of friends, and master his aura. Except Lucario isn’t really sure he wants to take the trip by himself. He bashfully asks Ash if they’d be alright with him joining them. Ash is absolutely fucking ecstatic, of course. He asks Lucario to teach him how to properly use his aura, and Lucario has a big self revelation moment like “The student has become the master” and it’s magical. So we hit off a brand new adventure with Lucario traveling with Ash, Brock, May, and Max, and teaching Ash how to hone his aura! Which gives us more aura Ash moments, which everybody craves! And it’s kinda gay and lovely!!

And that is my rewrite happy ending for Lucario and the Mystery of Mew thank you goodnight ✌️

You've been with him ever since high school. Both of you are (magically) unseparated, even went into the same major and same class in the university

Normal couple will do something like waking up each other, doing their activities and going to school/uni/works in peace, and having lovey-dovey vibe as bonus

But apparently, not for you two

"...what time is this." You pushed Zenitsu's head, slapped your phone on the nighstand and grabbed it. "SHIT, ZENITSU WAKE UP! WE'RE LATE!"

Zenitsu didn't budge, you tapped his cheek and forehead repeatedly.

"(y/n)... I love you.." He hugged you and made your body as his pillow, still dreaming in utopia.

"I'm serious here!!" You dragged his arms across your room to the bathroom while he still sleeping.

"Ungh..."

"ZENITSU!" You 'washed' his face with water, now he fully conscious and panicking too

It's a mess morning, you can't count on how many times both of you collided while he wearing his shirts and you taking your books. Or how he mistook your jacket as his and you suddenly forgot what will you do next.

"We are out of milk!!" He screamed in front of the refrigerator, making dramatic scene. "I'M GONNA DIE FOR NOT HAVING BREAKFAST!"

"Oh God, shut up for a sec!!" You pulled bread from shelves. "Here!" You just kinda slapped strawberry jam on top of it. He took the bread and stuffed it inside his mouth

"...I think we miss something." You stood quietly in front of the apartment door.

The chaos wasn't end there. A thing called 'Japanese Rush Hour' was common on your region. The train was packed with humans.

"Are we gonna make it on time?!" Zenitsu ran while panting hard.

The train finally moved.

You breathed, struggle to find oxygen inside your lung. So does Zenitsu.

On day-off at home, both of you usually took nap after doing assignments together.

He often talked in his sleep and you likes to play with him

"Zenitsu, the spider is going to get you!" You whispered beside his ear.

Ding-dong tone was heard from supermarket speaker.

"Another child lost announcement? Where are their parents? Shouldn't they hold their hands or do something about that? The child must be so desperate to find them, right Zenitsu?"

"Zenitsu?" You looked around. Zenitsu wasn't on your sight

"-Agatsuma Zenitsu. We found your child. To Agatsuma (y/n) please come to customer service."

"...are you kidding me. He even used his family name."

When you come to customer service, Zenitsu was sitting there, sulked while holding salt. After bowing to the customer service (and act like you are his mom), you dragged him out from there with embarrassed face.

"Why don't you just call me?!"

"I told you that my phone was dead!!"

He didn't help you with dinner because everything he did are wrong on your eyes.

"This should placed here! Not there!!"

"It's the same shelves!!" Zenitsu complained

"Ugh, just sit down!"

So, all he could do was sitting on the dining set and looked at you cooking.

And smiled softly.

He took interest on your 'cheap-but-works' night skincare routine

He's so afraid of the dark and refused to take out trash at night, but your anger is more sinister, he had no choice but to do it.

"It's only 6 feet from here."

"You clearly not watching I.T. he didn't live on apartment, now go."

You shoved the bag trash to him. He ran thorough the apartment stairs while screaming, threw the trasb and going back

"I will close the door, Zenitsu!" You jokingly said it to him. "One Two! Thr-"

"NOOO DON'T LEAVE ME! DON'T LEAVE MEEEEEE"

He leaped through the door and hit your whole body. He hugged you with all of his might while whining

"I told you!!"

Both of you often stayed late for tons of reports and other assignments, supporting each other with cups of caffeines.

"You finished?"

"Not yet." He almost crying.

"Let me help you." You pulled his paper.

"Aaah, thank you!!!"

It's really rare to sleep together. But when you did, Zenitsu cuddled with you under the blanket.

"Why are you still with me? I'm annoying for most people."

He looked at your eyes, blinked twice. You let out small giggling.

"We can work out on each other's weakness. Don't really worry about it, okay?"

You poked his cheek. He kissed your forehead and nudged your nose. He felt relieved in his heart.

'I will never let you go.'

“Y/N, honey, you got a letter!”

Curious, you headed downstairs to the kitchen where your mom was working on dinner. Your brow furrowed at the white envelope sitting on the counter, your name written in a messy print on the front. There was no stamp or return address, and the back flap was easily opened, revealing a sheet of lined notebook paper. Had your mom forgotten to give you this? Or did this arrive just now? Who delivers mail after dark?

You pulled the letter out and began reading.

You frowned at the letter, feeling something stir in the back of your mind. It was extremely suspect, but you felt compelled to attend, almost as if you had no choice in the matter. You showed it to your mom, but she didn’t seem at all concerned about the legitimacy of the letter and simply told you to have a good time.

Dressed in your costume of choice, you approached the abandoned mill, decorated to the nines. The baren earth leading up to the mill was covered by scattered tombstones and the occasional boney hand sticking out from the ground, fingers bent at odd angles. Ghosts hung from the neck on the bare branches of the trees surrounding the property. Plastic stickers of black cats, bats, owls, and candy had been stuck to the windows, and a metal plate had been bolted to the door. ‘Welcome’ was painted on the plate in a bleeding font, in shades of purple, orange, and black.

‘Should I knock?’ you wondered, hesitating at the door as your hand hovered in mid-air. The decision was made for you when the door slowly creaked open. Low Halloween music reached your ears as you stepped into the entryway. Loud voices and laughter floated from the left and you followed the sound into the front room, which had been converted into a living room. Several people, all wearing costumes, were scattered around the room, dancing or chatting with one another.

A long table was set up against the back wall, offering various drinks placed in ice and snacks on plastic plates, decorated like pumpkins and eyeballs. You grabbed a red solo cup and poured your favorite drink before munching on a cookie, observing the other guests as they interacted with each other.

“Oi, Tetsu! I told you not to scare me like that!”

“I’ve been standing here the whole time, Aomine-kun.”

“I can’t believe you dressed like a cartoon girl, Dean.”

“It’s anime and it’s art, Sammy.”

“You are unworthy of being in Beelze-sama’s presence, Pikachu.”

“Don’t hate me because I’m beautifully electric~”

“There’s so many sweets, look Jackal!”

“Please don’t eat yourself into a sugar coma, Marui.”

“Mada mada dane.”

“There’s no candy corn…”

“I hope the cheesecake eyeballs taste good, I tried hard not to mess them up…”

“Hyung, can we go back to the forest? It’s way too stuffy here.”

“Be patient, we’ll leave soon, Junhong.”

“It’s kinda boring. I shoulda brought my Ouija board.”

“Didn’t that go horribly wrong for you?”

“Pft, Luigi Board.”

“Hyung, you’re so embarrassing~!”

You smiled at the various groups of people as they mingled together, drinking and having fun. So many varying personality types… it was awesome to see everyone together. Maybe coming to the party wasn’t such a bad idea, after all.

The music started to fade before being replaced by a female voice coming from the speakers. “Hello, and welcome, everyone! Thank you so much for attending my 2019 Halloween Gathering, I do hope you’re all enjoying yourselves.”

Hilda stepped forward, her green eyes narrowed at the speaker mounted in the corner near the ceiling. “Show yourself, coward. How dare you kill off my beloved Y/N!”

Saitama huffed from behind her. “You made Y/N get kidnapped in my story!”

“You made my beautiful Y/N a murderer!” Denki whined, his bottom lip jutting out.

“Why didn’t I get a kissing scene with Y/N?” Killua pouted. “Even a peck on the cheek would’ve been fine.”

“Killua…” Gon sweatdropped. “Shouldn’t you be more concerned about the demon that attacked Y/N?”

“My chapter was great! No complaints here~” Marui grinned, folding his hands behind his head.

“But you ruined mine,” Ryoma glared at him. “I missed my kiss with Y/N because of you.”

Laughter filled the mill before the woman spoke again, amusement clear in her tone. “You all complain and yet you give no pause to think about your ‘beloved’ Y/N, who has been forced to live through so many events.”

As if one single unit, the entire room turned to stare at you and you gulped, stepping back until you hit the snack table. You sweatdropped. ‘Just how many lives has this chick given me?’

She laughed again, reading your mind. “More than you will ever know, my dear Y/N! You are quite precious to me, after all, for, without you, my tales simply could not be.”

“Glad I could help,” you muttered unhappily.

“Now, then. I’m sure all of you are quite curious as to why you have been gathered here. Well, I wish to extend my thanks to you all for being unwitting participants in this year’s festivities. It was a long and stressful ride to be sure, but worry not! I am proud of my accomplishments and shall rest well once this night comes to a close.”

“This has to be illegal, aru.” Yao frowned, folding his arms within his long sleeves.

She giggled. “But my dear, beautiful Chinese man, it’s only illegal if you get caught!”

A chill went down his spine and he paled.

Cory turned his head to stare directly at the camera, breaking the fourth wall. “Please don’t do this at home, kids.”

“This is stupid, I’m leaving.” 

The group watched as Nathan stalked to the front door, but the lock clicked before his hand could grab the doorknob. He tried to unlock it, tugging on the door with all of his strength, but it wouldn’t budge.

A streak of lightning split the dark sky, lighting up the mill with an ethereal light. The woman’s sudden laughter made the teen jump away from the door as if it had just shocked him.

“Come now, did you really think it would be so simple to leave?” Footsteps echoed throughout the mill, the stairs creaking. A heavyset woman descended the steps, dressed in a taco costume and wearing a Dr. Pepper hat atop her short hair.

Everyone sweatdropped at the ridiculous sight before them.
