i stayed up until 5am writing fic, slept four hours, grabbed my computer and had an hour long interpretation call and found out i'm travelling to [redacted] in a few months

Fly Me to the Moon is one of the best films I’ve watched recently. It’s rare to see masterpieces like this being released.

I love how the premise of the story centres on a conspiracy that actually unfolds within the film.

The film is comedic, witty, romantic, and tragic. It delves deeply into the lives of the two main characters, Kelly and Cole.

Although Kelly is introduced as a strong female character, driven by deception to achieve her goals, we see how her lies eventually come back to haunt her. At the same time, we witness how her charm is enough to win over anyone.

As the story progresses, cracks begin to show in her seemingly flawless porcelain façade. This is where we meet the real Kelly—a woman who has endured tragedy and rebuilt herself from the ground up.

While Kelly makes some extremely questionable choices, it’s refreshing to see how she turns things around, ultimately playing a key role in ensuring the true moon landing is recorded.

On the other hand, we see Cole as a broken soul, mourning the loss of his brothers in Apollo 1. His transformation throughout the film is the perfect counterpoint to Kelly’s.

We watch this strong man, haunted by his past, form an exceptional bond with Kelly, leading to a blossoming relationship.

Cole’s passion and determination inspire those around him, highlighting yet another contrast to Kelly. While Kelly uses deception to achieve her aims, Cole remains steadfast in his moral code, which is both admirable and compelling.

In the end, Cole and the team succeed in safely sending the three astronauts to the moon and back. It’s a fitting conclusion to such a beautiful and poignant story.

🔥- currently going well...my motivation to write !!!! i wanna write so many things and talk about them but finals got me bad lol. in a writing sense, i'm masking a bit less? my natural process is very messy, stream-of-consciousness and not linear lol. it requires a lot of editing, so i got into the habit of writing in proper prose to make it easier on myself later, but that also gets me stuck often because i'm focused on writing my thought in a 'good way' instead of expressing that idea in the way it comes to me. so i'm recognizing that need for balance. i also lessened the pressure on myself to have banger beginning and ending lines for scenes, it's something i enjoy but also not every scene needs that lmfao and it can affect the reading experience. so i'm having a lot of growth i feel! :]

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

I have to say, probably the Kakairu fandom. I mean, I know it’s just a pairing but adult characters in an interesting setting and no drama in the fandom. As in zero drama. I’ve always loved it there. 

18. What ship have you written the most about?

Kakashi/Iruka, I think that’s the one ship I always go back to and the one I have more unfinished WIPs in my folders

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

I think Kylux was the once that surprised me the most, because I usually need to like one of the characters and in that one I despise both.

30. What inspires you to write?

The characters mainly. If they are good characters and there are many unexplored avenues for them to interact, then I want to write about them

We are ghosts at the family reunion, my cousin and I. White makeup coats our faces, flowing white sheets wrap around our bodies, and we fly into the front yard, up the driveway. We want to show her mother, but when her mother sees us she puts out her hands, palms first. Go back inside, she says, then looks behind her. It’s dark, but there is a street lamp some ways away. In my memory, it must have been a mile, at least, but I know it was closer. It provides enough light to see by, and in the yellow glow I see my father’s cousin, surrounded by other men. Two of them are trying to hold the cousin back as he struggles, his head tipped back like a wolf howling at the moon. He may have been howling, at something none of us could see. Go back inside.

Later, someone tells me that he was drunk. Somehow I find out that this is not the first time something like this has happened, that he should not have been drinking in the first place. Go back inside. He had just gotten out of prison, and years later my dad will refer to his sentence as an overreach by an eager prosecutor. No one tells us these things as we stand in the driveway, white sheets hanging limp around our bodies. Go back inside. Years and years after that, my family will be on vacation, and my father will get a phone call. His cousin is dead. He lies on the bed while his sunburned legs blister and peel. Go back inside.

1. If you’re an author, how many WIPs do you currently have? (Be honest!)

... That really depends on whether we’re talking WIPs I still actively work on or works I started once upon a time and just didn’t finish.

If it’s the latter, I’ve quite lost count. Maybe around 20.

If it’s the former, then I’d say... 6.

One new The Untamed fic that isn’t letting me go, an old Star Wars fic which I’m still hoping to finish one day, a Fantastic Beasts selkie AU that already has 20k written before I stalled, and three NCIS oneshots that may or may not still be finished one day.

Chemical HeartsWhere do I even begin? This film was exceptional from start to finish. The writing and the quotes were absolutelyremarkable. Some of my favourite quotes include:

"You only say something is beautiful if you don’t understand it."Grace says this to Henry when he calls the poetry beautiful. I genuinely believe there’s truth in this—that sometimes we fail to grasp the full beauty of something until we’re in the thick of it. That’s what true beauty is: raw and profound, only fully understood when we’re vulnerable.

"People are just ashes of dead stars, atoms that come together for a brief point in time, and then we all fall apart."This line felt like life-changing poetry. When you think of life in this way, it makes everything feel both significant and insignificant at the same time. It’s a comforting perspective—you don’t have to be so hard on yourself because, in the end, we’re all just atoms.

"The world tells you to be mature and express yourself, but the minute you do, they tell you to shut up."Grace delivers some of the most thought-provoking quotes in the entire film. What struck me about this particular quote is how, even when given the opportunity to truly express herself through her editorial, Grace ultimately chooses not to. She keeps her expressions and her words to herself, perhaps as a way of protecting her own pain.

"Adults are scarred kids who were lucky to make it out of limbo alive."I couldn’t resonate with this more. Sometimes it feels like there’s no room to breathe, no way to escape the past. I often fear I’ll never fully heal. But the truth is, scars remain—they are part of who we are. Grace’s physical scar from her accident mirrors this truth: some wounds fade, but they never truly vanish.

"I’m not like one of your vases."This line hit me harder than I expected. The art of kintsugi—repairing broken pottery with gold—symbolises Grace and Henry’s relationship perfectly. Henry tries repeatedly to "fix" Grace, to help her move on from her ex, but in the end, he can’t. She’s not someone he can fix, nor was she ever meant to be. The most meaningful thing they could do for each other was to love and accept one another as they were—broken and imperfect.

"I have to find my words again."This ending brings the story full circle. Grace is finally beginning to heal from her past trauma, realising that she needs to focus on herself instead of seeking solace in a relationship. While their relationship felt a bit rushed, I understand Grace’s desire to feel something other than pain. Henry provided an escape from her reality. It wasn’t entirely fair to him, but their story beautifully illustrates the idea that “love is a chemical reaction that comes and goes.” They were both, in a way, using each other to fill the void.

Hi there, I'm writing here tonight because I feel lost. I've felt like this for the past few months now and I don't know why. My life is good, not exceptional, not horrible, it's good. But why do I feel like that's not enough?

I am a loner, I've always been an introvert kid. But in the last years something changed, and I've started speaking to people a lot more and gaining more confidence. So it's not like I have no friends, it's more like... I don't know.

Yesterday I saw a picture of me that was taken. I looked fat. And thats because I gained weight. And so I started to question myself again about whether or not the reason for which I'm still feeling alone is my appearance.

Because, let's be real, in this society appearance matters the most. Have you ever heard about the protagonist of a book or movie that was not beautiful? Well there are some examples out there, but they are always pointing out to the persons difference and hows she/he is special because of it.

The fact is that, if you are not beautiful, society makes you feel like you are not worth enough to be happy.

And what is being happy anyway?

Is it having a girlfriend/boyfriend? Is it doing the job you've always dreamed of? Is it having children? Is it having a passion?

I don't know if those are the real ways to happiness. Yes, I do something I like doing, but its not like I've ever had a girlfriend/boyfriend, I haven't even kissed someone yet.

I'm nearly 20 and I've never kissed someone in my life. Like on the mouth, okay. And I feel ashamed to talk about it, so much that I've never told anyone before. Everyone expects you to have experienced so much, and talks to you like you know everything about it.

I don't know how it is like to kiss someone, and the reason for which I haven't kissed someone yet in my life is that I never felt that spark for anyone.

The spark.

Which spark? Does it really exist? Or is just some myth that actually never existed?

And what am I? I'm I asexual just because I haven't felt something yet? Should I just accept that as the answer to my question and let me put in this box?

Why do we need a box anyway? Why do people feel the need the subdivide other people in different boxes? Like he is blonde so he goes in the blonde box, she is gay so she goes in the lesbian box, the cat is red so he goes in the red cat box.

I don't wanna be in a box, because there is not a box which can fit all of me.

But isn't this something that you've heard before?? Do not divide people in different categories. It's a thing that people have been saying for years now. So why is it still like this?

I am not asexual, not that there is anything wrong with being asexual, its just that I do want to feel something and share my feelings with somebody. Its just that I don't know who this someone is, or if he/she even exists.

I feel lost because I don't know who I am anymore. Jezz, I feel like I have never known myself at this point. The thing is I don't know which my hobbies are, if I have any real talent or even if I'm capable of loving someone that isn't my family or my friends.

The thing I know is that I want to know myself at some point, and that if I really want to I really need to try things out and see the world.

The world is a terrifying place, but it's also amazing.

I'm gonna start my journey from now on.

I'm gonna live in order to find myself, and I hope that you, if you are reading this, and you got to the end of it, maybe you should do this too.
