Here is the requirement: Your secondwriting project will add a descriptive element to your current narrativeessay.   (As youintegrate descriptive writing into your narrative essay, highlight the new descriptiveelements by changing the text color in your word processor. You need on averagea total of 750 new words. This does not need to be all in the same place, butif you spread the description out too much, the action in the story will getbogged down).   Think of apart of your story that could benefit from a change of pace. This is onefunction of descriptive writing within a story. A good tactic is to createsuspense, but rather than resolving it, prolong the suspense so that thereaders curiosity grows. You can do this by slowing down the action anddescribing details, moods, or emotions of characters involved. The trick is toNOT be wordy. You want to be artful and creative with words. Paint a picture withwords. Take your reader to some place or time and give them a vivid experiencethrough your writing.   Draw inspirationfrom the style and descriptive mode of writing that you find in the Autobiographyof Malcom X. Reflect on his way of writing and if useful try to replicatethe way he presents moods and feeling.   Seeadditional resources below:   **KelleyGallagher, 2011. Find this in the GVSU Library (availableonline). Each of the required books in our course can be viewed as a model ormentor text. Each exemplifies a certain mode of discourse or compositionalstyle.   For moreexamples, check out the following:   IUPsWriting Center: https://www.iup.edu/writingcenter/writing-resources/organization-and-structure/descriptive-writing/   Blogs: https://www.novel-writing-help.com/descriptive-writing.html   Examplesof Paragraphs: https://www.thoughtco.com/model-descriptive-paragraphs-1690573 ORDER THIS PAPER NOW. 100% CUSTOM PAPER CategoriesEnglish, MLA Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published. Sorry I reblogged from myself after you responded, I didn't realize you'd already reblogged:')
Oh, that makes sense. I've definitely struggled with that before. I'll see what I can find, but I'm a bit busy today so it might take me a while.
This site may help. It highlights the parts of the sentence and has a video at the end. I only skimmed it because I'm short on time, but I hope it clears some things for you.
https://academicguides.waldenu.edu/writingcenter/grammar/sentencestructure
Why is there no fucking website that can change the grammatical order of a sentence to whatever other one you want. Seriously. That helps me 1. Because I'm making up a language and I don't get grammar so I'm guessing most of the time and I don't know what I'm doing and nothing helps, and 2. I don't know what I'm doing and nothing helps and school didn't help btw so i can just hope I never get asked about subject verb and object ever again in my life I guess??? And I can't code for shit yet and I also obviusly don't know about grammar which is the reason taht I need this thing so I can't make it myself
Conclusion: why is there no website that can change the grammatical order of a sentence or at least highlight each thing of a sentence in pretty colors (this blue word is the subject and this green word is the object), because if there was that would be really cool thank you

Submissions:
Submissions to the blog must be anonymous for the following reasons:
To protect student identity

You have to be a Lane Tech student to submit.
Please keep content reasonably inexplicit, as we do have to operate under CPS radar.
We will take submissions about heavier topics, but a trigger and content warning must be provided with submissions.

Comprehension and analysis are also not the same thing. Literary analysis is the process of examining components for the purpose of understanding the whole. While I may comprehend the text on my initial read through, I engage in literary analysis to deepen my understanding, deconstruct layers of meaning, and examine the text outside of my initial lens.
But literary analysis itself doesn't require bringing anything I perceive as subjectively novel to the conversation. It's both simpler and more objective than any one person's perception, even if the conclusions are subjective and filtered through one's own lenses.
This guide from Lewis University breaks down the basics of literary analysis: https://lewisu.edu/writingcenter/pdf/final-writing-a-literary-analysis3212019.pdf
The gap I'm specifically critiquing is the difference between "identifying" elements and "analyzing" those elements, i.e. connecting the ideas together.
Other resources:
Sparknotes, How to Write a Literary Analysis
Grammarly, What Is Literary Criticism? Definition, Types, and Examples
University of Wisconsin-Madison, A Short Guide to Close Reading for Literary Analysis
I was a teacher's assistant for legal research and writing in law school. An issue many first semester law school students grapple with in their writing is understanding the difference between analysis and summary, or analysis and observation. This is also something tumblr.com analyses struggle with.

to the ex that broke me:
i hope you called your mother. i know she was shit at showing it and you needed more from her but she loves you. i hope you found peace within yourself, that you’ll stop looking for the missing parts of yourself in women who could never live up to your expectations. i’m sorry i didn’t love you more, or maybe i’m sorry i didn’t love me more. i spent so long trying to piece you back together i ignored the self inflicted wounds i had created bleeding myself dry for you. i’m sorry that at the end i said everything i knew would cut you deep. once you told me that you knew even from the beginning that i would be the one to leave, and i think i knew it too. i still don’t know if i said what i did because i wanted you to hurt or if i thought hating me would hurt you less. either way i’m sorry i didnt support you when you needed me. i don’t blame you for not telling me about her, i was finally giving you everything you wanted and you knew we would fall apart, exactly as we did, once i found out. things were never the same after that. i’m sorry there’s so many words left unsaid that they spill out of me onto pages you will never read. apologies you will never hear. regrets you will never grow to understand. so to the ex that broke me, know that i broke me too.

Apocalypse Well now that we’ve talked enough about the issue, let’s now talk about finding solution. And the solution is Release. To release our minds from the shackles that were created to convict us. Stop being easily enslaved by the things we fail to understand. Awaken an internal awareness of the mind and soul. Be vigilant. Before accepting a source of information, ask yourself whether or not you have the appropriate context of knowledge in order to declare the information as truth. An apocalypse is needed. Do not fear or condemn it. Because the only worlds it shall destroy are the false ones we have created for ourselves. The process merely includes a change in our state of being, a way of life. A mindset that has the knowledge to understand that there’s a difference between the natural world and the “self”. We have to try to understand one another. We can help save the word just by being true to ourselves. There’s not a lack of people who can change the world so much as there is a lack of people who care enough to change it. But we have to try make the world a better place. So look inside yourself and recognise that change starts with you. It starts with me. It starts with all of us. . . . //Manasie #thefakeblush #blogs #blogger #writingcenter #blogwriting #fashion #punefashion #punefashionblogger #styleinspo #ootds #wallart #surroundings #people #lifethoughts #girlvsglobe #words #blogpost #writingsofinstagram #freedomofthoughts #spiritualawakening #apocalypse2020 #silverleafpoetry #globalagepoetry #writersofig #thelifelogic #release #illuminatis #writingcommunity #writers_den_ #writersofindia (at Caption.) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCwDLs5Je2j/?igshid=ozheuktwkhnv

Adopting a growth mindset can be difficult. Changing thought patterns isn't easy. But the benefits are worth the trial. Failure is not the end unless less you let it be. Failure is an opportunity to learn and grow. ❤️ . Photo by @writingjobs4all . "Allow yourself to write poorly, to write a weak, uninteresting story or a boring, grammatically incorrect poem.
