Paradise by writergrrrl
In the summer of 1956, Blaine Anderson–born into New York City’s high society–prepares to enjoy his last months before college at the idyllic summer destination of Paradise Cove, where he hopes for one last shot at freedom. For Cove local Kurt Hummel, set with the obligation of taking over his father’s bicycle shop, freedom and excitement seem the last things he can expect in the slow-moving seaside town.

The Boy With The Golden Needle by writergrrrl  [PDF] [EPUB]
Kurt is apprenticed to a cruel tailor after his parents pass away, leaving him lonely and weary under mountains of garments, until one day an impossibly intriguing new customer arrives and a desperate wish changes everything.

So sorry
@writergrrrl: : *hugs*  Sometimes it’s hard to love people, especially family, and that’s NOT you’re fault.  Losing people is difficult under the best of circumstances, and it just sucks.  I wish there was something I could say that would make this all better, but there just isn’t.  If you feel that you should go see him, then I say do it.  If you need to vent or talk to someone, then know that there are people here for you.
Thank you so much. It’s the worst when they’re family and they love you to death but yet they’ve hurt you in so many ways and just. That shit doesn’t matter when you’re about to lose them. But you just wish you could focus on the other stuff, you know? He used to be my hero, my entire world, and eventually he shattered that illusion, and maybe that was for the best but... I don’t know. He’s just not who I used to think he was and I wish to everything that didn’t matter because I might not even see him again and yet here I am angsting over this shit.’.. and just more than anything I wish I had more time to forgive him and love him
P.S I’m sorry your url isn’t quite right here, for some reason my site just wasn’t working well at all but I hope you get back to me
either way thank you so much for the initial support it means the world

TAG GAME: CHARACTERS WHO SHARE THE SAME PERSONALITY TYPE AS YOU.
I got tagged by both Rowan-Baines and Orioncadet in this.
If you don’t know your personality type, take the test here
Rules: Find out what characters share the same personality type as you here and list the characters you find relevant below. Then tag however many you want and let them know you tagged them!
Type: INTJ (There seem a lot of that going around tight now XD)
Artemis Fowl from the Artemis Fowl series
Rupert Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Yay!)
Le Chiffre from Casino Royale
Havelock Vetinari from Discworld
Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg from The Fifth Element
Severus Snape and Lord Voldemort from Harry Potter
Ernst Stavro Blofeld from James Bond
Am I the only one beginning to see a trend here?
The Brain from Pinky and the Brain
Roose Bolton and Tywin Lannister from A Song of Ice and Fire & Game of Thrones
The Borg Queen from Star Trek: First Contact
John Harrison AKA Khan Noonien Singh from Star Trek Into Darkness
Sooo, according to Hollywood ITNJs are more or less all despots and/or bend on world dominion? Sounds about right.
Well I guess it makes me your go to girl if you ever need a plan to take over the world.
Who to tag then... writergrrrl, jewelspartaland, lucycantdance, artlesstumbles, beyondspock.

Heck, why not?
1. What’s one of the best meals you’ve ever eaten?
This sounds silly until you've been there, but: on my last trip to Disneyworld, my mom and I managed to score reservations to Le Cellier, the steakhouse in Epcot's Canada.
Oh my god.
Hands down the best cut of beef I've ever had, and I love me some red meat. And I'm going to hunt down the most accurate-looking recipe of their high-end poutine that I can find, to try to recreate it. The fries were perfect, they used crumbles of this intensely sharp white cheddar, and instead of gravy there was this heavenly red wine reduction with incredibly layered flavors and just oh my god oh my god I can see why it's a miracle from god on high if you're actually able to get dinner seats at Le Cellier, now.
2. If you could go back to high school and retake one class, which class would it be?
I'd go back to AP Studio Art and take Troy up on some of that pot he kept offering me, because god I was way too stressed in high school. Or I'd do choir again, even though we basically had Sue for a director.
3. If someone came along and offered you the starring role in the movie adaptation of your favorite book, and guaranteed it would be a hit (although not necessarily GOOD), would you take the role?
Nope! Zero interest in being onscreen.
4. If you could change the ending for one fictional character, which character and how would you change it?
I can't answer this properly until I know how Glee ends.
5. Is there a sport you love, and what sport is it?  (Doing it, watching it, whatever.)
When I was a teenager we'd turn just about any sport into Contact Mud Ultimate [Sport] and I enjoyed every single version of it. I was just talking on Twitter a few days back about a game of Ultimate Frisbee that got way too intense and ended up with me getting my bottom lip sliced open.
We won! \o/
6. If you could teleport, where would you go right now?
In time: back to the start of the summer. In space: GOD I want to go back to Florence.
7. Who are three of your role models/inspirations/influences?
Mr. Rogers, my grandma, and Karen Walker.
8. If you could actually witness one historical event, which one would it be?
Basically anything where some woman did something huge and amazing and promptly got the credit stolen from her. I'd bring a video camera.
9. A genie shows up and tells you that you can have one talent that you currently do not possess.  What do you choose?
Finding more genies.
10. Do you like public speaking?  Are you good at it?
Haha I'd better like it, considering I'm a professor! And yeah, I'm actually really really good at public speaking, which is something that drew me to the profession. I first realized this when I was asked to make a campaign speech to 200+ people during high school, with ~30 seconds notice, and shrugged and did so without fear. I have never been afraid of talking in front of a large group, but that day really made me notice that fact.
Now, put me in front of a small group where it's just a few faces staring back at me, and it's way harder.
11. What is your favorite article of clothing?
YOGA PANTS oh god they are sent from heaven above to make our lives at home more comfortable.
--------------
New questions!
1. What's something you used to do on Tumblr, but don't any more?
2. If you could turn one creative property into a big-budget Hollywood movie, which would you choose?
3. If you could turn one creative property into a big-budget television show, which would you choose?
4. If you had enough money to buy a reasonable and comfortable home for the area, where would you choose to live in the world?
5. What's a time when you laughed when you shouldn't have?
6. Tell me about a moment that makes you proud of yourself.
7. A massive disaster is about to strike and people are being are being selected for an ark that will hold the remnants of humanity. How do you sell yourself as someone who simply must be included?
8. In what fictional universe would you choose to live, if you didn't have control over the situation in which you'd find yourself?
9. What makes you smile the most when you see it?
10. If you could say "thank you" to one person, alive or dead, who would it be?
11. When you've had a bad day, how do you get rid of tension?

writergrrrl replied to your post:Got the results of my ultrasound back today. I’M...
yay \o/ and boo that that doctor scared you for no reason <.<
Well, it wasn't really NO reason. I mean, my grandma did die from ovarian cancer and there were signs that everything wasn't completely normal (and she was actually right. It wasn't cancer, but there were the cysts) Plus, she did tell me that the ultrasound would likely show that it wasn't cancer. It's just that as soon as you know you MIGHT have something serious, it's hard not to think about it, you know? I'm actually really grateful that she was so vigilant about checking it out, but also really reassuring.

writergrrrl replied to your post:oh lord…here come the white feminists critiques...
scum, smh
girl, i can't. i need these folks to keep their white respectability politics off of black women. they have no problem with katy perry, lady gaga, miley and whoever else appropriating like no other and running around naked, but let a black female artist talk about her body and sexuality in a positive and unabashed and way and suddenly we need to think of the children. the fuq outta here with that shit.

Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!
Watership Down by Richard Adams
The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls
A Storm of Swords by George RR Martin
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
1984 by George Orwell
