You are dead. You could have seen that something wrong had corrupted the place from the very first room if only you'd had some light and weren't in such a hurry to sleep. While you were snoozing on the landing of the stairs, little larvae found you and dragged you into the basement where you were wrapped in a cocoon of digestion. You could have escaped when, in a panic, you extracted yourself from the cocoon like the disgusting newborn you once were. For once again without light you failed to see the huge hole in the wall and groped your way to a door leading to the spiral staircase. You went up and met your creator.

Well, before you met the creature that killed you. Your creator just looked on in consternation.

I saw a photo of a black sheep full of yellow grass browns, which inspired this quick little thing.

"There is a painting about which strange stories are told. Painted by an artist about whom little is known since his career never met success, and who died in sinister circumstances, this painting depicting disturbing organic textures has, following the artist's death, changed owners many times. It is said that almost all of them died prematurely or disappeared overnight with no trace left behind.
