On the Writer Truth or Dare thing that went around a bit ago one of the questions said to post writer stats. I didn’t have them at the time, but I do now!

Honestly some of these can be taken with a grain of salt since I shared this account with a friend of mine who also did some writing, so some of the word count, subscriptions, etc., are hers. But the rest is mine, and I’m pretty happy with that. I’m so unbelievably thankful that so many people have chosen to read, comment on, and add kudos to my stuff! You all are so cool!!

(In particular, the little comment community we have going on in the RFCU is so freaking awesome!!)

I want to see the ghosts squabble over who gets dominion (sitting rights) over a new sofa chair that Grian got when another piece of furniture was deemed too nasty to stay. I want them to plot and scheme and compete over who sits on the most comfortable chair most of them have ever seen in their entire afterlives.

Lmao??? This is so oddly specific I love it. Honestly perfect sub-plot no notes this is the perfect vibe.

X and Wels are pulling off like full military stealth campaigns against each other while both acting like they don't care. Ren teams up with Cleo to run interference since he can't really sit in the chair himself. Keralis thinks if he just stays out of everyone's way and sneaks in he can get to it, but he's incredibly unsubtle and gets caught immediately. Mumbo and Beef both have the same idea to try to wait until everyone else goes to bed to steal it and just end up running into each other in the hallway scooby doo style. Joe doesn't actually really care about the chair but does fuck with everyone else's plans just for shits and giggles. Scar is trying to deal his way into the chair and when no one will negotiate with him he starts trying to turn everyone else on each other by just making shit up. Bdubs genuinely cannot be bothered, he's off living his best life. Grian tries implementing a schedule when the bickering starts to annoy him and that falls apart so quickly it may as well have never existed.

They all lose when Joel claims the chair for himself, not realizing the war he has just abruptly put to an end.

My AO3 wrapped 2024

Thank you for the template, @spicedrobot, it's here, for anybody who wants to do it.

Now, that wordcount is definitely not true, it's counting the words of the big, updated fics, which were started in like 2020 or something. That probably means the Kudos and Comments numbers are also too large, but I'm too lazy to figure that out.

I can pull my wordcount for 2024 from my trusty spreadsheet though, which says 115k, including fanfiction and original fiction. Not bad, not bad at all, if I do say so myself.

As for the most popular and favorite fics of 2024, I excluded the big ones (Not Yours, Twilight and Soup, See Your Name) because they were all started in ancient times. They're all my favorites, I swear, I will finish them! (I did finish Sunset, Sundown, Sunrise, so yes, I can write completed fics, eventually)
