None of yall are the fic police. I DESPISE genai. I think its an insult to art, humanity, and the planet itself. But aint not a single fucking person here qualified to pick apart a strangers fic looking for a gotcha moment to make yourselves feel superior. If you think something is ai you can ask the author (most are proud of the ai use and will just tell you straight up) if they say yes you have your answer and can warn people. If they say no and you dont believe them you block and quietly keep it between you and maybe a close group of friends. Spreading misinformation is DANGEROUS. And NONE of you doing this shit are anywhere near qualified to do it.

I kinda want to establish a baseline now...

Regardless of my opinion on the matter, if I'm going to be talking and asking questions about AI generated works and/or works with other AI input (such as when a creator uses ChatGPT or the like to get out of a block), I feel like it would be useful to establish what I'm talking about exactly.

Day 2 - Tavern

Fenris stared at Hawke from across their group's table at The Hanged Man. Brown eyes bright with the smile that to Fenris would fill the room with light. Anders had said something sarcastic that caused Hawke (who may have been a bit drunk) to snort and full belly laugh. He fucking hated that he loved it.

He loved Hawke and hated it.

He rolls his eyes and scoffs, "you face is going to get stuck like that if you keep smiling." "So will yours if you keep brooding," Hawke snarks without skipping a beat. He looks over at Fenris and gives a cheeky smile.

"You're so drunk." Fenris says trying to dismiss the flutter in his stomach as Hawke looked at him like that.

"Thanks tips. Might get a bit more," Hawke stands up and sways a bit. Fenris flinches in case he has to catch the larger man if he falls.

Thankfully Hawke doesn't sway as much on his way up to the bar. Fenris gets up with him to keep an eye on his swaying...boyfriend something.

"I don't think this is a good idea," Fenris says as Hawke orders another drink.

"Says the elf who gets drunk in his abandoned mansion every other night," Hawke rolls his eyes and snarks. It cuts a bit deep, Fenris wants- needs Hawke to be better than him.

He believes Hawke is better than him.

"Hilarious," Fenris says deadpan shaking his head.

Hawke scoffs at him. Fingers picking at the wood on the counter. Aimlessly adding to the carvings on the wood with his fingernails trying to not think of them clawing into Fenris' back those years ago when they shared a bed.

The tension between them hadn't subsided past that night, it had fermented and festered. It was as potent as the wine that Varric had imported in from Orzammar. Hawke looks back at Fenris and his brown eyes meet the green that reminded him of the fields outside of Lothering. Bethany, Carver and Hawke used to play in when they were young. Hawke and Bethany would create little balls of light and play catch with them as Carver would complain that they were going to get caught by the Templars stationed in the town.

They of course never got caught. He missed that time

Hawke licks his lips as Fenris' eyes dart down to them.

"You're going to do something about that look-" Hawk starts. "You talk too much, Hawke," Fenris says lunging forward.

Fenris' lips meet his and he closes his eyes. Fenris pushes him up against the bar, his arm braces against it.

They release after a long minute of Hawke lavishing in this moment. Hawke swallows and Fenris breathes heavily. Hawke's mouth tasted of the sweet ale that he had drank but kissing Fenris was more potent.
