Hey Rain, so i am fairly new to the fandom but i was reading back on what happened years ago especially because i was a little confused about taekook’s living conditions and i found out that Tae left the dorm sometime around 2018 and got his own place as well as Namjoon and Hobi and then Jimin, Jk and Yoonjin stayed in the dorm and then for a period of time Jk shared a car with Hobi (while in korea) and we later heard that he had an apartment in Hobi’s complex. Then not long after that, he started sharing a car with Jimin again and this continued till around April/May of 2021. We know that by 2019 all the members had moved out of the dorm already and i can see Jk sharing a ride with Hobi for a short while cuz they lived in the same complex but why did he share a car with Jimin all those years till 2021 when we heard that Jimin bought an apartment in RM’s apartment complex? Does that mean that Jk lived with Jimin? There weren’t in the dorm anymore so did they live together?

I don’t have any issues with Jikook living together because they are best friends anyway but why didn’t Jk live with Tae instead? I remember feeling perplexed after finding out that on Jk’s birthday in 2020 he was with Jimin even though they were not in the dorm anymore. Why do you think this happened?

Also, why do you think Jk didn’t stay in LA to go on Vacation with Tae after PTD in LA? We know that Tae went on vacation with Hobi and their families while Jk returned to korea with Jin and Jimin and i would have understood if Jk had something to go do in korea but he didn’t. He was actually bored out of his mind while he was in quarantine so why do you think he didn’t stay back with Tae?

In general I'd say details like the ones you describe are the hardest to make sense of. We simply know too little of their lives to understand why certain things were arranged the way they were. We don't know what individual schedules they all had aside from going to group activities together. We don't know what went on in their private lives. We don't know what BH's strategies for their images were at those times. A lot of unknown.

That is true for all of us in our daily lives as well though. FOr instance, I wasn't at work yesterday.. though I did leave my house in the morning. All types of speculation about that would be possible.. did I have an emergency? Did I have to go to the dentist? Did I need a break for my mental health? My neighbours who I have no relationship with would have been able to come up with all kinds of explanations.. but the right one would have been that I had a special business event. You see how without propper knowledge about someone's live things become some sort of guessing game. WQe don't know if Jk had something sceduled that made him not go on holiday with Tae and Hobi. Not everything that happens has to do with their relationship... especcially when they live such extreme lives. People often make the mistake of looking at Tae and Jk (or all BTS) with the normalcy of their own lives in mind. While their feelings are the same as ours, their lives are very much not... and you will most likely see very little that resembles your own live and what you think would be normal for a regular couple in love.

I think Jk doesn't care for birthdays much. I think when you're always on the road things like birthday and holidays lose a bit of meaning when you're so often unable to celebrate the normal ways.

Aside from Jm being one of Jk and Tae's best friends I do not asign a special meaning to Jk sharing a car with him that often. SInce I think Jk and Tae were kept apart at times I think him being with Jm a lot makes sense since he is probable second in closeness to Jk. I haven't got the best insight on where their apartments were all situated so I have little sensible to say about that.

I don't think Jm and Jk lived together after they all moved out (though I am not the most up to dat on all BTS's houses and times of moving, feel free to step in and correct). But they could've spent time a lot? I imagine the transition from living as a group to living alone was a weird one. Tae and Jk publicly living together isn't an option I think. Not now, and especcially not then. While some say there wouldn't be a difference between Jk living with Jm and Jk living with Tae... to them there absolutely would be a difference. To BH there would absolutely be a difference. One would be friends living together, but the other would be a queer couple being together. An actual queer couple is always dealt with differently than a ship, because with a ship there is no risk in them being discovered as anything more.

To some it might seem odd that Tae and Jk decided (if in fact it was their own decision) to not move in together after having already lived together. It is however a whole other mindset to be living together as a couple as opposed to living together as a whole group of guys. To live together as a couple you have to be ready for that, and in their case there's the very important factor of them being famous and a possibly closeted couple.
