god every time i read a post about an american who says or does something just... really fucking stupid when in a foreign country i feel the need to apologize on behalf of the rest of my country like i promise we're not all this stupid😭😭😭
#also whenever i see someone generalizing all americans as like this i just bite my tongue. but if you catch yourself doing this consider#you probably only notice the ones who say stupid stuff or are generally inconsiderate in other ways#while those who dont go out of their way to say stupid shit and are considerate of the fact that other people/places exist and our differen#probably fly under your radar. oh and also consider therere 335 million of us and obviously you can't generalize for a population that larg#doing so is as ridiculous as trying to generalize all europeans. there's just way too many people to draw accurate meaningful conclusions#but also having said that yes there are some valid criticisms you can make that do apply to a lot of us#uh if you read these tags then thanks i guess? i put this little rant in the tags cause truthfully its just a pet peeve of mine#it only bothers me a little bit not too much though#no what bothers me more is people being blatantly wrong about various aspects of the us#but i never have the energy to correct them and so i don't#i should make a series of posts debunking common misconceptions i see tho#kinda like that one post i made a bit ago clarifying some things about how kinder surprise eggs are illegal here#wow these tags are i mess i wrote them around midnight so i hope they make sense and don't ramble too much#also i kept them intentionally quite vague. sorry if that bothers anyone

— — — — —
The first time Satoru felt bothered about birthdays was when he was seven, and he was walking around the city on his own so he wouldn’t have to deal with his annoying trainers. He passed by a park, and he saw a family singing happy birthday to a young boy. He was surrounded by his family and friends, who all looked happy to be there with him. There were presents, a cake that everyone shared, and decorations that the boy loved.
The sight made his heart pinch slightly, and he began imagining how his birthday party would look if the world was perfect and far kinder to him. As he grew older, that pinch on his heart turned into a tight squeeze, an ache that intensified with every minuscule reminder that he truly was alone in this world, no matter what people told him.
Even though he attempted to shove the idea of birthday parties, celebrations with friends, and a family to hug him tight on his special day to the back of his head so it wouldn’t hurt as much, every year on December 7th, he found himself making a birthday wish when it was late and everyone else was asleep.
I wish I could make friends; when he turned eight.
I wish I could have a party; when he turned eleven.
I wish I could have a normal day for once; when he turned fifteen.
I wish I could stop having nightmares about Toji; when he turned eighteen.
I wish Suguru would come back; when he turned twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, and twenty-three.
It was fine. He was the strongest. He shouldn’t feel that way about a birthday. They were stupid and beneath him anyway, right? He’s not like everyone else, even though there was a tiny sliver of something heartbroken within him, constantly screaming about how badly he wanted to be like everyone else.
–
“Satoru.”
The nightmare has the same scene as the others. The crowded street in Shinjuku, Satoru’s heavy breathing as he’s desperately blinking back tears, and Suguru, dressed in black, slowly turning around so his back was facing him.
God, no. Not again.
“Satoru.” Suguru’s tone is dismissive, and Satoru’s feet are glued to his spot on the sidewalk. He can’t follow him where he’s going. He never could. All he could do is watch as his best friend walks away, leaving him and the friendship they had behind.
No. Please.
He knows how this ends, but it still hurts. Around him, the people and buildings start to darken, and the light fades with every step Suguru takes away from him until he’s alone in pitch black. Soon, there’s nothing but a sickening, shadowy silence.
–
“Satoru.”
The voice that calls his name isn’t Suguru’s from the nightmare. It’s soft, feminine, patient, and so full of love. You. He feels fingers tenderly brush against his cheek, and he stirs in his sleep with a small groan.
“Baby,” you call him again. “It's time to wake up.”
Satoru’s eyes flicker open, and he’s met with your smiling face. He looks around the large bedroom that you two share, remembers that life is so, so much different now, and exhales in relief. He sits up in the bed, and he looks over at the digital clock on the nightstand. “Oh, wow, it’s past noon?”
“Well, yeah,” you say with a small, quiet laugh. “We all thought you should sleep in today.” Your hand finds his cheek again, and you lean in so you can kiss his forehead. “Happy birthday, Toru. I love you so much.”
“Oh?” He looks at the clock again to check the date. Sure enough, it’s December 7th.
However, the ache that he’s felt for most of his life wasn’t there. Since falling in love with you, it’s been replaced with a comforting, gentle warmth. For the last few years, he’s actually looked forward to his birthday, because it meant another year and more experiences with you and the family you two made together. More time, more love.
He smiles up at you and hugs you close to him so he can rest his head on your tummy, allowing you to rake your fingers through his snow-colored hair, which was messy from sleeping all morning. “Thank you, pretty girl. I love you, too.”
Once he’s done brushing his teeth and washing his face, you appear in the bathroom door again. An adorable, yet frustrated whine from your side makes him look down, and you laugh, shifting your baby so she’s in front of you instead of resting on your hip. “Someone is a little upset that she didn’t get her morning cuddles from Daddy.”
Satoru chuckles at that, and he takes his daughter from you right as she starts reaching for him, her blue eyes light with adoration and excitement. “Aw, ‘m sorry, princess. I was sleepy.” He rains kisses on her chubby cheeks until she bursts with giggles, and Satoru can’t help but grin, gently stroking the girl’s hair—colored exactly like yours except for a few white strands. “How has your morning been, Riko? Hope you’ve been good to Mommy.”
“She was whining for a while because she didn’t know where you were, but other than that, she was great.”
He carries Riko and follows you out of your bedroom. Like every time he’s in the hallway, Satoru finds his favorite picture hanging on the wall. It was from the evening when Riko was born. Kento was kind enough to take a picture of you and Satoru holding her. The three teenagers you adopted, Yuuji, Megumi, and Nobara, were surrounding the bed with teary eyes and happy smiles.
Speaking of.
“Hey, the house is as quiet as the day we moved in,” Satoru says. “Where’s our other three kids?”
“Hm? Oh, they’re taking care of some things at the school right now,” you reply once you reach the living room where the first of many gift bags rested on the couch. You lift it up for him to see, and Satoru gasps excitedly. “Oooh, a present?!”
“Duh, silly. It’s your birthday.” You trade him the present for Riko, and you point towards the notecard that was taped on the gift. “That’s a clue. When you’re done opening that, get dressed. You’re going to be going on a little scavenger hunt for the rest of your gifts.”
“Oooh, interesting. Can I teleport?”
You frown, and Riko cosigns with an adorable pout and whine. “Absolutely not. That takes the fun out of it.”
Satoru scoffs with a roll of his eyes, but his smile doesn’t fade. He starts opening the present, and you sneakily open your messages to text one of your sons.
You: We’re about to leave the house. It’s 1pm right now. Do you think you guys can be done by four? I’ll do everything I can to stall him.
Yuuji: 100%. We got this! :)
— — —
“Alright, everyone!” Yuuji calls out to the rest of the group. “Mom just left the house with Dad. We only have about three hours to get everything there and set up! Everyone ready?”
“All ready,” Yuuta replies as he places three more bags full of party supplies in the back of Kento’s car. “Ino is with Kugisaki and Inumaki right now. They’re at the bakery grabbing the cake.”
“I bet you lunch tomorrow that someone here is eventually going to drop the cake.” Yuki chortles.
Maki snickers as she loads a box into the trunk, using her free hand to ruffle Yuuta’s hair when she passes him. “I agree with her. There’s always some type of tragedy when setting up surprise birthday parties.”
“Ladies, please. Let’s not speak that into existence,” Choso says. “I heard that [Y/N] spent quite a bit of money on that cake.”
Next to Yuuji, Megumi taps his shoulder to get his attention. “Do you think he used his Six Eyes to see the presents we hid in the library?”
“Well, Mom said he woke up a bit late. He had to get ready before starting the scavenger hunt she set up, plus Riko’s an adorable distraction, so I doubt it.”
Megumi nods, then peeks at his phone. “Okay, got Mom’s location. They’re about thirty minutes away from home. Now’s our chance.”
“I’ll have Ichiji meet the students at the bakery once they’re ready,” Kento Nanami says, pulling his jacket on to fight the December chill. “I would hate for them to have to catch the subway back.”
–
“Holy crap.” Takuma Ino’s surprised voice echoes throughout the living room where everyone else is setting up for the party. “This is where you guys live now? This place is huge!”
“Yup!” Nobara answers as she takes off her shoes and places them next to the others near the door. “Amazing, right? I truly had no idea how much money Dad had until I saw this place. There’s rich, and then there’s stupid rich.”
Megumi pauses filling up a balloon and turns towards her with a small, amused smile. “I thought you learned that when you spilled something on one of his shirts and nearly fainted when I told you how much it cost.”
At the memory, Yuuji snickers. “Then we tried to shove it in your shirt to hide it.”
Megumi rolls his eyes. “Like the idiots you two are.”
“If anyone is used to how much Gojo likes to spend on clothes, it’s definitely Megumi,” Maki says as she tapes a blue tablecloth down on the table.
“Yeah, he’s known him the longest. Has Gojo-sensei always lived here?” Yuuta asks. “I never heard him talk about a house this size.”
Megumi shakes his head. “He had no intention of living here. This place was a gift from the Gojo clan. He showed me once when I was nine, then never brought it up again. He had a small place near the school he stayed at.”
“Then he fell in love?” Yuki asks with an excited grin.
“Then he fell in love,” Ieiri Shoko replies. She smiles as she points at the portrait of you and Satoru on your wedding day hanging on the wall. “Moved here, adopted those three, then [Y/N] had Riko.”
“Speaking of Riko, why couldn’t she be here?” Nobara asks with a small whine. “I was hoping to hold my baby sister while you all set up for the party.”
Panda scoffs. “You could help, y’know.”
“I did help! I went to go get the cake! Right, Toge?”
Toge, who was helping Yuuta with some decorations, nods with a thumbs-up. “Salmon.”
“Alright, guys, the table for the presents is all set up,” Maki says. “Leave your gifts here.”
“I’ll go grab ours from the library!” Yuuji announces, then taps his older brother on the shoulder. “Could you give me a hand? There’s quite a few.”
“Of course.”
Choso follows Yuuji to the sunroom that you and Satoru turned into your at-home library. He finds the presents stashed in the corner behind one of the bookshelves, and starts to lift a few of them.
“Wow,” Choso breathes out. “This is a lot of books.”
“Yeah, Mom reads a lot. Her and Megumi spend a lot of time here,” Yuuji replies.
Choso helps by grabbing a stack of presents, and smiles at his words. “I’m glad to see how happy and comfortable you are here. All three of you.”
“I still can’t believe it. Like, a part of me still thinks that this is a dream and I’m going to wake up back in the dorms, still attached to Sukuna.”
When Choso’s smile falters, Yuuji changes the subject. “You should come over more often. I know you and Yuki are incredibly busy, but I still want to teach you how to play video games.”
“I’ll make time. And I—”
“OH, NO!!!”
The loud chorus of fearful gasps and screams make Yuuji and Choso drop what’s in their arms, and they sprint down the long halls back to the living room. “What is it?!” Yuuji exclaims.
Toge turns around with a gulp, then shakily points towards the ground. “Mustard leaf,” he whispers. Yuuji looks to where he’s pointing, then gasps in horror, nausea swimming in his gut.
The cake is splattered across the floor.
Ieiri releases a loud sigh to break the silence, and she drags her hand down her face. “And there’s our tragedy.”
Megumi shakes his head. “I blame Maki and Yuki for speaking it into existence.”
“Well I blame Takuma for dropping the damn thing,” Maki snaps back.
“I said I was sorry!!” Takuma shouts, looking as nauseous as Yuuji felt.
“Oh, no. Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no!” Yuuji’s heart pounds, and he yanks his phone out of his pocket to check the time. They only have about forty more minutes if they want to be done on time. What now? How can I fix this?
“Okay, no one panic. That won’t get us anywhere.” Kento says. “First things first, let’s get this cleaned up. Itadori, call [Y/N] and let her know what happened.”
“Yeah, he’s right. Besides, this isn’t the first time we had a cake dropped on someone’s birthday, remember?” Yuuta gently pats his shoulder. “It’ll be alright. We’ll clean up.”
Right, he needs to call you. As everyone else either helps clean the mess or continues setting up, Yuuji steps outside where it’s quieter. He waits for a couple of seconds, then presses the green button near your contact to call you.
“Hey Yuuji, is everything alright?” You softly ask him once the line connects.
He swallows hard. “Hi. Uh- Yeah, things are fine. How’s Dad doing?”
“He’s currently showing Riko around the butterfly garden where we confessed that we loved each other for the first time. He’s having way more fun on this hunt than I anticipated. We might be about twenty minutes late. I figured it wouldn’t be too much of a problem, just in case you all needed more time.”
“Well…” He mutters sadly. “We messed up the cake. I don’t know what to do. I can’t imagine throwing a birthday party and not having a cake.”
“It’s okay. Are Yaga and Utahime there yet?”
“No. They mentioned that they’d have to work late so they wouldn’t be able to help set up. They’ll be at the party, though.”
“Good. Have either Kento or Ieiri call and ask them to stop by the bakery closer to our house. Yaga will know exactly what to get, okay?”
The knot in Yuuji’s chest eases. “You had a back-up plan.”
You laugh at that. “If being a sorcerer and being in love with the one and only Satoru Gojo has taught me anything, it’s to always have a plan B, and sometimes a plan C. Everything’s going to be alright. I promise.”
“I’m really sorry about the cake. I know you spent a lot on that. Gosh, I just really wanted everything to be perfect, and—”
“Yuuji,” you sigh. “It will be perfect. He’ll be so excited that you even came up with this plan and brought everyone together for it. You tried your best, and no one got hurt. That’s more than enough. Yaga is going to pick up Satoru’s favorite treat, and we’ll put his candles with that. All of the guests will have the cake he brings. Don’t beat yourself up.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
“Of course, honey. Chin up, okay? Finish strong. I’m so proud of you for planning all of this. It wasn’t easy, but you did it. I’ll see you all soon.”
“See you soon.” When Yuuji hangs up the phone, he’s overcome with a burst of determination. Finish strong. I can do this. He walks back into the house with his head held high.
– – –
“Satoru, did you really have to buy her so many butterfly clips for her hair?” You ask as you hold up the souvenir bag from the butterfly garden. “Riko’s going to be wearing these for the rest of her life.”
“Of course I did. Look how cute they are in her hair!” He lowers his head so he can talk to Riko, who’s safe in your arms. “Right, princess? Of course you need sixty butterfly clips. I would’ve gotten you a million of them if I could.” When the baby giggles in response, he kisses the top of her head.
In his hands are all of the gifts he’s received throughout the day. Clothes, accessories, cologne, a new watch, and a detailed birthday card and love letter from you. Satoru spent the whole afternoon smiling that you’re certain that his face will be sore tomorrow morning.
“This was so much fun, pretty girl,” he tells you as you approach the front door of the house. “Thank you. I’m so grateful for you.” He begins unlocking the door, and you struggle to contain your excited grin. This is it.
“Still wondering what’s going on with Yuuji, Megumi, and Nobara,” Satoru mumbles as he opens the door and switches on the light. “I really hope they didn’t take a mission today—”
“SURPRISE!!!”
Satoru stops in his tracks, and the shock is so great that he lifts his blindfold to take all of it in. His colleagues, his students, and his three teenagers are all here in the living, wearing blue party hats and using noise blowers. There’s balloons, a banner that reads, Happy birthday, Satoru, and a table full of presents and cakes.
He looks over at you with wide eyes, then back at everyone else in the room. “A party?” He whispers. “Did you plan this?”
You shake your head. “Actually, he did,” you say as you point at Yuuji, who was standing in the front with Nobara and Megumi. “I planned your scavenger hunt, and he planned your party.”
“I hope you like it,” Yuuji says as he steps forward with his dessert, neatly topped with a few lit candles. “Happy birthday. Thanks for being so incredible. From stopping my execution all the way to adopting me, you really changed my life. You changed all of our lives.”
Your heart swells at the scene, and the crowd ‘aww’s. Yuuji does a small countdown, and everyone starts singing happy birthday to him. Satoru thinks back to the child he was; how he watched from a distance as that boy in the park was surrounded by love, and how he yearned to be in his spot. Now, he is.
Once they’re finished singing, Satoru reaches forward and hugs Yuuji, Megumi, and Nobara all at once. “Thank you,” he whispers to them. “You all changed my life, too.” When he pulls away, he looks down at the still-lit candles, then glances at you.
“Go on, love,” you tell him quietly, wiping away the happy tears that formed in the corner of your eyes. “Make a wish.”
Satoru thinks about his past again, and how he spent all of his birthdays wishing to be somewhere else, something else, someone else. But as he looks at you and the daughter you blessed him with, the three kids he would choose in every lifetime, the students he cared so much about, and his colleagues from Jujutsu Tech that all came here for him, he desperately wanted to stay himself and stay where he is.
I wish for another safe year, full of love, he thinks to himself, then blows out the candles.

“Why are you wearing cologne?” Dustin asks after barely one second in the van.
“I’m not,” Eddie says, and promptly wants to die at how unconvincing that was. It’s not even technically a lie…
He makes it out of the school parking lot with Dustin saying jackshit, so for a little while, he thinks he’s gotten away with it.
More fool him.
Dustin abruptly lunges to the side, all up in his face like the world’s most dedicated sniffer dog.
“Ew, gross! Get off, man, I’m gonna crash,” Eddie says, even though they’ve been at a stop light for the past minute.
“Okay, correction,” Dustin says, drawing back. “Why are you wearing Steve’s cologne?”
Eddie stares into the middle distance, prays for The Upside Down to come and swallow him up.
An agonising silence.
“Oh my god,” Dustin whisper-screams. “Oh my god.”
“Look, just—”
“Oh my god!”
And yup, ow, that’s definitely become a full blown scream now, and double ow, Dustin has just socked him one in the arm.
“Hey!”
“What the fuck, Eddie?! How could you not—”
“Jesus! Take a damn chill pill, Henderson, I swear to—”
“Since when you do you say shit like—oh my God, Steve says shit like that. You can’t let him get to you like this, Eddie, you’re too young to die.”
“What does that even mean?”
Dustin keeps jiggling Eddie by the arm as he pulls up to Dustin’s house. Even when his stomach is jangling with nerves, he can’t fight a smile at the kid’s antics.
“Holy shit, this is big,” Dustin says with wide eyes, and it bothers Eddie that he can’t get a hold of what sort of expression is on his face. “This is huge.”
And all of a sudden, it doesn’t seem all that funny anymore.
“It’s not,” Eddie says quietly. “It’s really not. It doesn’t have to be, like… look, Dustin, can we just—if it bothers you, just drop it, and we can pretend like—”
“Wait, what? No.” And now Eddie can read the remorse on his face. “Shit, sorry. Eddie, I didn’t mean, like… big in a bad way, I swear.”
And goddamn it, Eddie trusts him. Of course he does.
“Okay.” He lets out a long sigh, tipping his head back in his seat. “Okay.”
“I just meant… like, you know The Royal Family? In England.”
…What.
“Oh, please, run with this analogy,” Eddie says, a mixture of curious and hysterical, “I’m dying to see where it goes.”
“You know, when they have news, they put it outside the… Palace? Like, on a stand. So people know.”
“Are you fucking implying that you are the public to our… wow, I’m so sorry, Henderson.” Eddie can’t take it anymore; he wheezes with laughter, can’t hide how relieved he sounds. “Next time I’ll ruin your front lawn and put a huge fucking sign there, then you’ll know that—”
“I didn’t mean it literally, asshole. I just…” Dustin shrugs. “Just meant if you wanted to, like… mention it. It would be cool. It is cool.”
“Cool,” Eddie echoes faintly.
“Cool,” Dustin repeats, emphatic.
Jesus Christ, I love you so much.
“Aw, Henderson,” Eddie says, “were you gonna make us a card or something?”
“Do you want a card?” Dustin says dryly.
And yeah, he’s being a little shit about it, but there’s also a note of sincerity hiding in there that has Eddie fighting a lump in his throat. He chuckles through it, flicks Dustin’s forehead.
“C’mon, get out before your mom thinks I’ve kidnapped you.”
“She thinks you’re an angel now, and you know it. It’s horrifying.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m a Saint.”
Eddie waits until Dustin’s at his front door before reversing, watches him with silent fondness as he greets his cat.
He says through the side window, “Hey, Dustin?”
Dustin turns back. “Yeah?”
“We’d have told you first anyway. We were gonna, I swear.” Eddie scoffs. Smiles. “Not our fault you’re Sherlock Holmes, man.”
Dustin smirks, but his eyes are soft. “It was pretty elementary.”

Just read the museum marquis fic and I love it. I wonder what would a fanfic where the marquis de gramont met a ballerina reader?
Poetry in Motion
Pairing: Marquis de Gramont x fem! Reader
Warnings: mild language
Summary: A tall and handsome man has been watching you preform for a while. What will happen when he finally chooses to introduce himself?
Word Count: 2.5k
I got multiple reqs for this! So, here ya go! Enjoy!
“You’re late Y/N!”
I dashed into the locker room, tossing my bag atop the dressing room counter.
“I know! I know! I’m really sorry! My apartment door wouldn’t lock and there was traffic and then-”
My director held up a hand, silencing me.
“I don’t care. Please-just, be ready to go by showtime.”
I nodded vigorously.
“Yes, yes, of course. I will be ready, I promise.”
She quickly turned on her heels and began walking in the opposite direction. Her blue dress swayed gently as the dancers rushed around her. Her spine was straight, her posture rigid.
I don’t blame her. I'm just as nervous as everyone else to see how this performance goes. Unfortunately, I'm a dancer, so rigid posture isn't ideal. I'm forced to keep my anxiety bottled up inside my head.
“Y/N.”
My friend called my name, jolting me from my trance. She was fully dressed, with a full face of makeup. She stared at me, completely stunned.
“Y/N, you better hurry! Everyone else is ready to go!”
I moved rapidly, quickly opening my makeup bag, praying I had enough time.
“What took you so long?”
I slapped my palms against the table, annoyed.
“Oh, Clara, it’s been such an aggravating day.”
I stared at my reflection, watching as the foundation completely coated my face.
“Do tell.”
I took out my eye makeup.
“Well, first my apartment wouldn’t lock.”
I closed one eye and applied eyeshadow as quickly as I could.
“My key wouldn’t work! And of course I couldn’t just leave my apartment unlocked so I had to bother my neighbor to get the spare key I gave her.”
I moved on to the other eye.
“Then there was so much traffic. Then I couldn’t find a good parking spot because I got here so late. Then I had to walk almost six blocks.”
My eye makeup looked... alright. Sure, if I had an extra hour, I could make it look fantastic. But, due to my unfortunate situation, I had to settle for average.
“Wow girl, that’s rough. I’m sorry.”
I pulled out my blush.
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, I think that cute guy will be here tonight.”
I scoffed loudly.
“He’s always here. If he goes four days without seeing a ballet, just assume he’s dead.”
Oh my goodness, that blush color was really clashing with my eyeshadow. Shit! I didn't have time to remove it and start over. Perhaps I could just add another color to my eyes, creating a strange hybrid color that would blend well with the blush.
“I don’t know Y/N. I’ve been here longer than you, and he only started going regularly once you got here.”
I rolled my eyes.
“Yeah, right. It’s probably just a coincidence. I doubt he’d spend a shit ton of money on fancy ballet tickets just to see some pretty girl dance.”
I watched Clara shrug from the corner of my eye.
“I dunno. He always dresses like he’s ready to meet the queen, and he sits in a box. He doesn’t seem short on funds. He definitely could be the type to buy ballet tickets just to admire you.”
Okay, the blush and eyeshadow looked fine. I could handle "fine." I could work with "fine.”
“I don’t know Clara. You know, when you watch a performance, faces and names blend together because there are so many people on stage. I doubt he picked me out of the crowd and decided I was going to become the object of his affection.”
I put on some red lipstick, trying not to be distracted by the fact that all the dancers I saw in the mirror were fully prepared.
“Besides, a handsome man like that?... he probably has a girlfriend.”
Clara perked up.
“Oh, so you admit you think he’s handsome.”
I rolled my eyes for a second time.
“I mean, come on Clara, look at him!”
Clara let out a loud and obnoxious laugh. My face turned hot. Thankfully, the makeup covered most of the natural pink that had begun to appear on my cheeks.
“Oh my God you have a little crush on him, don’t you!”
I held up my hands in defense.
“I am not having this conversation right now!”
I stood, rushing over to the costume rack.
“I’ve never seen him with a girl Y/N! I think he’s single and ready to mingle!”
Clara’s loud voice drew some attention. I swiveled on my heels and placed a finger to my lips.
“Sh!”
-
The show was finished, and the final bows were taken.
The roar of the crowd washed over me like a wave. I was moved to know that they were all applauding for this performance. As the entire company gathered for one final bow, I observed the crowd's faces contort into bright smiles. I felt moved knowing that at least one person in the audience was thinking about what a wonderful job I did tonight.
I hoped it was the man whose appearance I had grown accustomed to over the past few weeks.
The gold theater sparkled. The red seats gradually vanished as people rose to pay their respects to the performers.
I was unable to avoid glancing around at the various people in the crowd. I started in the box seats, hoping to spot a tall man with a penchant for fashion.
No luck.
My gaze was drawn to the floor seats. I scanned them all as quickly as I could. Maybe he sat closer? If he truly came to see me, it wouldn't hurt to get the best view possible in the front row.
No luck.
I'm not sure why I was so desperate for him to be here. Nonetheless, I felt my heart sink slightly as I considered the possibility that he missed tonight's performance.
We finished with a company bow. We waved goodbye, and quickly scattered off the stage.
“Y/N!”
Clara exclaimed as we walked back to the dressing rooms.
“You did so well! Jesus, I thought for sure you’d be all scattered from coming in late, but you really pulled it off well!”
I didn't notice her hands cutting through the air as she spoke. I didn't even bother looking at her. I kept my head down, stuffing various cosmetics into my black backpack.
“Thanks Clara.”
I said flatly.
“Alright, what’s going on? Who’s got you bummed?”
I grit my teeth.
“He’s not here tonight.”
Clara leaned in.
“What did you say?”
“I said he’s not here tonight!”
I snapped involuntarily. Clara retreated.
“Woah woah, how do you know this?”
“I didn’t see him in the crowd.”
Clara furrowed her brow.
“Come on Y/N, there’s thousands of people in that crowd! There’s no way you could’ve checked every seat for him!”
My lips were pursed. Clara wrapped her hands around my shoulders, soothing me. She leaned into my ear, lowering her voice to a whisper.
“I bet he showed up tonight. And if he didn’t, it was his loss entirely.”
-
The cold Paris air bit at my exposed skin. The chill penetrated my tank top, chilling me to the bone. I drew the sides of my peacoat together, attempting to conceal my torso and thighs from the wind.
I began to stroll, trying to enjoy the lovely Paris evening despite the fact that so much was less than ideal.
After about thirty paces, I was struck by an uneasy sense that someone was watching me. I initially ignored it. There were numerous high-rise apartment buildings. I'm sure that feeling came from being a window away from someone's living space, and the possibility that someone was watching me inadvertently.
I couldn't shake the feeling even after another thirty paces. The buildings in this particular neighborhood were completely dark. That is, everyone was sleeping, and if anyone was watching me, it probably would go unnoticed by bystanders.
I took a peek over my shoulder to ensure my intuition was correct.
About thirty feet behind me was a tall, lanky man in a black coat.
Alright, probably just a coincidence-
Wait.
I did a double take.
Holy shit.
It was the guy from the ballet!
This all is just one big coincidence.
I kept my head down, trying to maintain my composure.
His footsteps became audible. I focused on them, noticing that they were becoming slightly louder with every step.
Shit.
Shit!
God, this guy is a total creep! How could I be so stupid?!
I’m about to get totally kidnapped!
I started to move faster, trying to appear calm despite being aware that my heart was pounding in my ears. My blood rushed to my heart, leaving my face pale and cold.
God, he’s getting closer!
Jesus my stomach is in knots!
“Don’t look so frightened, darling.”
The man’s velvety accent pierced the air like a knife. My heart jumped.
I’m fucked.
“Really, I just want to talk with you.”
No way in hell was I stopping. My calves burned. My eyes were wide. My hands trembled within my pockets.
My chest came into contact with something solid. I stumbled back, looking up.
Oh my goodness, he was right in front of me.
How did he get there without me hearing?
The heat left my body.
I stood, wide eyed and perplexed.
The man's neutral gaze softened as he noticed my anxiety.
“I am very sorry to have frightened you, madame. I am simply a fan wishing to pay my respects.”
He placed a hand on his chest.
“I promise, I mean no harm. There is no reason to be frightened.”
He was considerably taller than me. In two seconds, he could pick me up and throw me into the back of a shady white van.
Nonetheless, his luxurious accent and courteous eyes made me believe he was telling the truth. So I allowed myself to relax ever so slightly.
“Did you come and see the show tonight?”
A smirk played on the corners of his lips.
“But of course. It would be foolish of me to disregard the opportunity to observe such talent.”
Wow, I'm going to give credit where credit is due. He’s a smooth talker. He speaks with such elegance. I'm unable to ignore his words. With bated breath, I await each sentence.
“Well, that is very kind of you to say.”
He slipped his hands into the pockets of his black overcoat, shrugging nonchalantly.
“I only convey the complete truth. In my lifetime, I have seen hundreds of ballets, operas, and plays. It is uncommon to find such a passion for the arts in the hearts of the prefromers. Few people allow creativity to encompass every aspect of them. But, I have noticed fire within you.”
He glanced deeply into my eyes, as if he wanted to capture some of the "fire" within me and preserve it for himself.
“I can tell by the way you dance and command the stage.”
The gentle breeze rustled the end of his overcoat as his pale eyes shone in the pale moonlight. He exuded a sense of mystery that beckoned me to embrace the unknown.
“Your blood runs red with creativity.”
He came to a halt, his piercing gaze catching my lips before darting back to my eyes.
“And, your beauty is unmatched.”
Forget about my face being cold; it was now scorching hot. I just hope I kept enough blush on my cheeks to hide the natural pink.
He extends his leg, the buckle of his pricey loafer catching the moonlight. He steps closer, the wonderful aroma of whiskey and bergamot wafting into my nose. The scent cloud muffles my brain, making me dizzy with anticipation.
“How long have you been dancing for?”
I raise my eyebrows.
“Oh, well, my entire life. I started the moment I could walk and I’ve pretty much been in the dance studio everyday since.”
The enigmatic man nodded, pleased with my response. I took my hands from my pockets, as they were sweating despite the chill.
“And… Do you enjoy it?”
I nodded vigorously.
“Yes, I remember, um-.”
I took a deep breath, careful not to trip over my words and reveal that my heart was racing.
“I remember my first official dance class. I was- about four or five.”
I swallowed, a lump forming in my throat.
“All the kids were complaining. I mean, y’know, at that age it basically is just an excuse for the parents to get their obnoxious kids out of the house.”
He chuckled.
Yes!
“But I never complained, not once. I loved it from the start. And, it’s completely consumed my life since then.”
He took another step forward. The distance between us was almost non-existent now. To meet his gaze, I had to almost completely crane my neck back.
“I can tell. You don’t just dance, you float over the stage. It really is beautiful to watch.”
His voice dropped to a sultry whisper.
“You are beautiful to watch.”
My stomach flipped.
My breath caught in my throat as he cupped my face with his hand. His grip was gentle, as if he were coddling a baby bird.
My mind was empty, a void waiting to be filled by him.
He exhaled deeply, a breath fanning over my face. I instinctively leaned into him, craving his warmth, craving his scent, craving…
Him.
He ran his calloused thumb along my cheekbone. My face was burning. I knew he could feel it beneath his palm.
He grinned.
“You have a very bright future in the arts. Paris is only the beginning.”
I could sense the tension rising. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for something magnificent to unfold.
A hug?
A proclamation of love?
A kiss?
“I hope and pray that you will allow me to be an integral component of your bright future.”
He slipped something into my empty pocket sneakily. He smiled broadly. My heart skipped a beat. His smile was enticing, so simple yet so effective.
“Call me, Ma chère.”
He took a step back, turned, and began to stroll away. My shoulders loosened. My chest gave way. My cheeks had lost their warmth. The tension had been released.
I could breathe.
I could think.
“Wait!”
I shouted. He glanced over his shoulder.
His figure looked very intriguing. Most of his ridges and curves were hidden by his long coat. It enticed one to venture into uncharted territories.
“What’s your name?”
He scoffed.
“When you call, I will tell you.”

hi i really really like you’re justice league series and you’re writing overall!!
poor reader must feel a different type of work burn out some days or maybe everyday lmao. was wondering how the justice league would react to the readers burnout being more visible or i guess obvious even if reader hides it (martian reading their mind or the worlds best detective batman noticing). would they let them take time off? suggest for them to go on a vacation, maybe even with one of them. it’s funny to imagine them trying to organize a vacation for reader. maybe even try and get the kids (sidekicks) to go on the vacation and make it seem like a happy family. it would be weird to see batman or superman at a beach or disneyland in their costumes because reader still doesn’t know their identities.
sorry my english is bad.
I have lots of requests about Reader going to the beach, taking a break, going on a vacation, just trying to relax and get rid of burnout (which I'm going to write eventually), but since this one is slightly different, with the JL being the ones to notice and suggest a break, I'm going to answer this quick while I'm trying to clean my inbox
I think some of them would try to join Reader straight away, like Hal, Barry, Diana and Arthur, still in their uniforms, being like "Hey, let me take you there this weekend!", as if you're not trying to take a break from them. Bruce, Clark and J'onn on the other hand, I think as superheroes, they would just keep an eye on them from afar, making sure they're safe and no one's bothering or flirting with them
... That doesn't stop them from joining you on their civilian identities
Reader's like, wow, so many good looking people trying to chat me up here! And BRUCE WAYNE! While they made it all up.

Hey, sorry to bother with the request but can I suggest a Loser/pathetic Simon scene?
Like you both are out on a date, and Simon is super nervous. This is pretty much a loose prompt (although I might suggest an overly happy reader/person reading type and make it somewhat gender neutral). ANYWAYS!!! Thanks sk much for even reading this and dealing with my stupid ideas. 🤷♀️ (angst, fluff, smut, all the same for this ig ❣️)
its not stupid, i love this prompt.
simon has never been the calm or nonchalant type of guy. his face turns red when he sees you walking to him, his hands start shaking when you grab his arm and kiss his cheek as a greeting.
he can't stop staring at you, he loves your outfit and the way you did your hair today. simon loves it all, he is so in love that he can explode.
you were the one to bring up an arcade as a date idea, and even when he has a hard time around so many people, he find your laugh comforting. the two of you play almost all of the games and simon made sure to win a prize in every single game he played. blushing every single time you compliment his strength.
a plushy, a silly trophy, a ticket for a free drink, another plushy and another one.
the night ends up with the two of you sitting on a tiny photobooth, more like, you sitting on simons lap, since he takes up most of the space on the booth. you kiss his lips gently as the camera flashes, his cheeks burning and his breath heavy.
"i had so much fun today, si."
"d-did you?"
"mhm, thanks for the gifts."
you kiss his lips again, but this time he follows your movements as best as he can. his shaky hands on your waist, clinging onto the fabric of your shirt.
"fuck- i... wow, i mean, shit-... im gonna shut up."

A Not-So-Disastrous Romance (Book 2) Chapter Six
Saiki Kusuo x Reader
Chapter Six: Seasick
Summary: Saiki gets stuck on a cruise with a bunch of bothers and Saiko. (Y/N) is there, but a mystery sickness means he has no time to spend with them.
“Hey, pal, pinky,” said Nendou. He excitedly leaned over Saiki and (Y/N)’s desks.
“You want to go on a trip somewhere tomorrow?” asked Kaidou with a big smile.
“I made plans already, but let’s take a really long bike trip,” said Kuboyasu.
Really? Saiki just wanted to go on his date with (Y/N).
“I have a tent at my house, so we can camp out somewhere on the way,” said Kaidou. “Bring a sleeping bag!”
“Sound fun? You should come, too, pal, pinky,” said Nendou.
“I see. I’ll pass,” said Saiki.
“Sorry, I’m busy tomorrow,” said (Y/N), smiling.
A loud laugh started behind them, and everyone turned to look at Saiko, the source.
“What are you laughing at, Saiko?” huffed Kaidou.
“Nothing. Sorry.” Saiko didn’t look sorry. “I was just thinking what a wretched vacation that would be. It’s just sad.
“Don’t laugh if it’s sad!” exclaimed Kuboyasu. “What are you going to do, then? What’s your plan for tomorrow?”
“Oh, me? Well…” Saiko smirked. “Maybe I’ll go on a cruise on the Pacific on my family’s ship. Do some fishing and reading on deck until I get to my destination. My family owns an uninhabited island. Then I’ll enjoy a drive in my family’s convertible. Then, I’ll eat French food while watching the sea and stars at my villa.”
“You own too much.”
(Y/N) smothered a laugh.
“That’s about it,” said Saiko.
“Well, your boat is going to sink.” Kuboyasu traded jealousy for anger. “That’s right. You’ll sink and be eaten by a shark!”
“Wow, you have a ship?” Nendou smiled. “We want to go, too.”
Slapping a hand over Nendou’s mouth, Kuboyasu glared. “Hey! Don’t say that!”
“If you say that, we lose! Idiot!” said Kaidou.
“So they’re back to that even after fawning over his house?” laughed (Y/N).
“They’re all idiots.”
“Well, I guess you guys can come, too,” said Saiko.
“What?” Kaidou and Kuboyasu’s eyes sparkled.
“You’re swayed so easily.”
“But on one condition,” said Saiko. “You have to bring Kokomi Teruhashi! If she comes, you can bring whoever you want.”
Instantly, Kaidou and Kuboyasu spun to (Y/N). “Ask her to come!”
“No way,” said (Y/N), putting their hands up in an “X.” “I’m not asking Kokomi to come along with that guy—” Saiko “—so ask her yourself.”
Kaidou and Kuboyasu looked at each other. They took deep breaths. They would approach the queen of the school. They stalked out of the room bravely.
“They’ll stop bothering us, now.”
“Do you really believe that?” said (Y/N).
“No.”
l
Sure enough, by the end of the day, Saiki and (Y/N) were surrounded by all of their friends, who were all going on the sleepover-boat-ride-cruise-thing.
“There are a lot of you, but you did well,” said Saiko approvingly. Teruhashi had agreed to go, so he was fine with whoever else came. “I’ll give you losers a weekend you will never forget.”
“Yes!” cheered Kaidou. “I’m looking forward to this.”
“I hope they haven’t counted us in,” said Saiki. He and (Y/N) had plans.
“I think they have,” chuckled (Y/N).
“I never hung out with this many people before. I turned them down when they asked about the bike trip, but things got all confusing and vague.”
“The nine of us all together,” said Teruhashi with a smile. “It’ll be so much fun, right, Saiki?” She sparkled.
Yes. Have fun without me and (Y/N).
“(Y/N), have you ever been on a boat?” asked Teruhashi, blushing from facing Saiki.
“Nope,” said (Y/N), smiling.
“Okay, everyone is here. Let’s choose when to meet up,” said Yumehara.
“Wait a minute—” Saiki really was being counted. He sighed. It’s no use. It’s getting to the point where I can’t refuse. He glanced at (Y/N), who was smiling at Yumehara and Teruhashi. And they look happy. There went his precious weekend, down the dream due to his bothers and (Y/N)’s smile. At least he’d still be with them.
l
“I can’t believe we have to leave at night,” said Kuboyasu as they walked down the pier.
“Saiko’s island is far away,” said Kaidou. “If we don’t leave tonight, we won’t make it.”
“What? Then we have to sleep on the ship?” said Yumehara.
“Hey, what are you doing? Get on.” Saiko leaned over the rail of his gigantic yacht.
“It’s huge!” cried Kaidou.
“Impressed?” Saiko smirked—it was his permanent expression. “Only my family could own something of this size.”
“You don’t need a private ship this big!” said Kuboyasu.
“Come on in. The inside is even better with a pool, gym, cinema, and anything you want,” said Saiko.
“Let’s get on!”
Saiko watched with satisfaction. Even if his ship was supposed to get a little more maintenance, it would all be fun. And he couldn’t quit and just show his smaller yacht. This was his pride and joy, and he needed to impress everyone.
Yare yare.
“Come on, Kusuo,” said (Y/N), walking aboard with a smile.
Saiki walked aboard, passing a black cat, a sign saying “666-13-13,” and stepping on a crack. Bad luck omens all around.
Yare yare. The trip was going to prove troublesome for him, wasn’t it?
l
“Amazing!” “Wow!” “Incredible!” Everyone stared and murmured their appreciation for how beautiful Saiko’s yacht was. “Are we really in a ship?” “It’s like a palace!”
Poor people get easily excited, thought Saiko triumphantly. “Just wait for what you’ll see next.”
“It’s like a luxury hotel,” said Yumehara excitedly.
If I marry Saiko, this could be all mine. Teruhashi glanced at (Y/N). No, no! Remember what they say—wait for the right person!
You actually listen to logic from them? Saiki wasn’t sure whether to be pleased or concerned that Teruhashi would get a crush on them. He would understand.
“This could turn out to be a fine cruise,” said Kaidou.
“It should be pretty relaxing,” agreed (Y/N). “Plenty of time for rest, snacking, and not worrying about things.”
“Don’t jinx us, even if that sounds good,” said Saiki.
On cue, Kaidou’s face turned green, and he collapsed.
“Kaidou?! What’s wrong?” Yumehara knelt. “Are you sick?”
“Yes. Just a little…seasick,” groaned Kaidou.
“I’ll go get you some medicine!” declared Yumehara.
She couldn’t find any—the one thing this ship didn’t have was the one thing it needed—so she kindly and happily took Kaidou to his room and let the others go on. Teruhashi and (Y/N) had exchanged looks, knowing Yumehara was about to dote on Kaidou, her crush, like no one had ever seen. Who could blame her for taking a chance, though? Certainly not them.
l
“What the hell are you doing?!” cried Kuboyasu, watching Saiko as he tied up Mera.
(Y/N) yawned. They had been awoken from a lovely dream by the commotion of a shouting Saiko and growling(?) Mera.
“Hey, what’s up?” asked Nendou.
“It’s all bad!” said Saiko. He gestured to Mera, bound among the wrappers and crumbs of the ship pantry. “This glutton ate all the food in the pantry.”
“There’s like nothing left,” said Kaidou.
“You’re still eating!” Saiko tried to pull the loaf of bread from Mera’s mouth.
“Mera, sit! Mera, down!” said Teruhashi.
(Y/N) yawned again. Their mind still wasn’t completely awake. “Why are we having midnight snacks?” They looked at Saiki. They tilted their head. “Kusuo?”
He was breathing heavily and looked…ill. He fell to his knees, and (Y/N) knelt to support him.
“Kusuo, what is it?” said (Y/N), furrowing their brow in concern.
“A mysterious illness…” he groaned. I’ve never even had a cold before. I’m a psychic, after all.
“I think he’s seasick,” said (Y/N), recognizing Saiki was trying to seem strong and seeing the same symptoms as Kaidou.
“I feel like throwing up,” said Saiki, quivering.
“You’re seasick, Kusuo,” said (Y/N). “Let’s get you lying down, and I’ll get you water.”
“I’m not seasick. I can’t be seasick.”
“You’re seasick.”
l
(Y/N) tipped the water into Saiki’s mouth and then let his head fall back on the pillow of his bed. “How are you feeling?” They looked at him worriedly.
“I hate this mysterious illness.” Saiki squeezed his eyes shut.
“Try to sleep,” said (Y/N), grabbing a cloth and wiping the sweat from his forehead. “You’ll feel better when you wake up, and then we’ll almost be at the island.” They leaned in and kissed his cheek. “I’ll get more water.”
“Thank you,” said Saiki.
“Of course, Kusuo,” said (Y/N), smiling and walking out of the room.
Saiki sighed and let his head sink into the pillow. As he fell into a comfortable sleep and escaped his not-seasickness, he thought he heard a door opening.
(Y/N) must be back.
He was wrong, and everyone paid the price.
l
Saiki’s eyes opened, and he blinked. He was underwater. Looking around, it was easy to see that the ship had sunk, somehow. Either way, it wasn’t good. Additionally, he still felt incredibly weakened. He couldn’t teleport or push the ship anywhere. The only he could do—and did do—was teleport everyone to the nearest island.
Saiki dove through the water and picked up (Y/N) as they drifted down in the water. In a moment, they were at dry land, and he put them down carefully by a tree.
He just tossed the rest down willy-nilly on the beach.
Saiki sat on the beach and stared out over the empty waters. Pieces of metal and wood drifted up beside him, the wreckage of the yacht. Everyone else lay about him, unconscious still. Saiki sighed and looked down at (Y/N), still knocked out but safely beside him.
I should have realized the disaster that was going to happen.
Now they were stranded on an abandoned island in the middle of nowhere.
l
(Y/N) groaned and opened their eyes. The sun beat down on them, and they blinked. Slowly, they sat up. A sandy beach surrounded them, and the ocean stretched towards the horizon. Debris and their friends had washed up with them.
“What the…” (Y/N) rubbed their head. “Where are we?”
“Shipwrecked,” said Saiki.
“Ah!” Kaidou screamed as he awoke. “The ship!”
“Yare yare.”
“What’s going on?!” said Saiko, jerking awake.
“Huh?” Yumehara raised her head.
“What happened?” said Teruhashi.
“Where’s the ship?” said Nendou.
“Where’s the food?” said Mera, worried.
“The ship went down,” said Kuboyasu somberly. “We must have drifted to this island.”
“What do we do?” asked Kaidou.
“Let’s just wait until help comes. That’s all,” said Kuboyasu.
(Y/N) glanced at Saiki. They wanted a chance to confer with him since he had the powers to actually help them, but they’d need to be sneaky about it.
“Okay,” said Nendou.
“No!” Kaidou stood. “That’s too vague. There’s no time for that. We’re stranded on a deserted island! Besides, the island is small, the size of our schoolyard. We won’t be able to find food. It’s only a matter of time before we lose someone!”
“Shun, you didn’t see it?” Kuboyasu smiled.
“What?” asked Nendou.
Kuboyasu gestured to some of wreckage washed up on the beach. “It’s the pantry of the ship. Miraculously, this all drifted here with us.”
(Y/N) glanced at Saiki with a smile. “What a nice miracle.” He didn’t respond, but he straightened at the thanks in their voice.
“Mera ate all of it on the ship,” said Kuboyasu. “But we have plenty of water, so don’t worry.”
“We’re lucky we have water,” agreed Kaidou. “But it’s going to run out. If we don’t get help soon—”
“Help will come,” said Saiko. “It’s not like we drifted here on a raft. Right now, they are using the ship’s tracking advice to locate where the ship sank and are searching for us. I don’t know where we are, but we can’t be that far.” He grinned. “The son of the world’s leading financial conglomerate is here. I’m a world treasure. A giant search team is out there looking for me now.”
“If anyone’s popularity is going to save us, it would be Kokomi’s fans coming to find her,” said (Y/N), laughing and rolling their eyes.
“You’re not wrong,” said Saiki. Her fans were devoted.
“You should thank me,” said Saiko.
“Don’t push your luck.”
“So, what, you’re saying we shouldn’t worry?” said Nendou.
“That’s right, little guy,” said Saiko. “So let’s go swimming!”
(Y/N) watched some of the men run towards the water and stepped closer to Saiki. “Kusuo, how much trouble are we really in?”
“…Help isn’t coming,” said Saiki.
(Y/N)’s head whipped towards him. “What?”
“Why did we sink in the first place?” wondered Kaidou. “I can’t remember anything.”
“Oh, that’s right, you and Saiki were sleeping,” said Kuboyasu. “You both were seasick—”
“I wasn’t seasick.”
“—and while Yumehara looked after you, (L/N) looked after Saiki,” said Kuboyasu. “They needed to get some more water, so Teruhashi looked in kindly to make sure Saiki was alright, and, thinking his hairpins might be bothering him and his head, she graciously took them out.”
(Y/N) and Saiki sighed. “So that’s what happened.”
“Oh, dear,” said (Y/N). They smiled. “She tried to do something nice.”
“It happened right after that,” said Kuboyasu. “The ship started rocking, and the water was coming in fast. Then all hell broke loose. The crew escaped on a small boat. I bumped my head and lost consciousness. When I woke up, I was here. It’s a miracle that everyone was saved.”
“Thank you,” whispered (Y/N), and Saiki nodded to them, a soft look in his eyes. He wouldn’t leave any of them—especially (Y/N)—to die. “Now.” They put their hands on their hips. “Why isn’t anyone coming?”
“I teleported everyone here, but because my powers are too strong after my limiter is taken out, I took us to South America.”
(Y/N) stared. “Huh. That’s a problem.” No one would look for survivors of a crash from Japan near South America.

just an assistant - l.n
Warnings: self slut shaming, angst, swearing, ghosting
Pairing: Lando Norris x fem!reader
A/N - there might be a good ending in a bit but not this part tehe
Everyone had seen the article.
Your family, your friends, the McLaren team, and worst of all - Lando.
In Lando’s eyes, you were the worst person who could have seen the article, and in your eyes, he was. It would’ve been cute if it didn’t make you look like an absolute slut. (Sorry about this, but I love self-deprecation)
Lando still hadn’t returned from his little beach date, and you didn’t really want to imagine just what he was doing with your little dopelganger, as you sat in the lounge, watching TV, which he had surprisingly let you do.
You didn’t want to call him to ask if he’d be back for dinner, with the risk of getting an earful and half of his little ‘date’, so you chose to sit and wait to see how it’d unfold. And so you did, sitting there peacefully and quietly, just before the front door opened and you saw Lando walk in, his cool and calm exterior perfect as usual.
“Hello,” you said, unsure what else to say as you turned the TV off, standing up from where you were sitting. Lando didn’t look, his expression unreadable as he spoke a single word…or order. “Dinner,”.
You weren’t one to argue with someone who paid you so highly and just did what he said anyways, going to the kitchen and starting the stove, watching the door very few seconds to where Lando was sitting on the sofa, no doubt reading the article and tons of messages from his fans and team.
What to do, however, what to do?
To go onto social media and deny it? It wasn’t likely people would believe him. And that too, with the unwarranted hate you were receiving for apparently ‘only taking the job to get into Lando’s pants’? People really and truly had no shame.
You laid the pasta bowl in front of him, before moving back to the kitchen, you could cut the tension with a knife. The annoyance at the articles in Lando was palpable, and you understood, he wouldn’t want to be with a girl like you, surely? You were…lesser than him, no?
Being simply ‘nothing but an assistant’ as some of the comments on the twitter post put it. Quite lovely. “Y/N, we need to talk,” Lando said, looking up from his plate and at you for the first time in, well…ages. There it was, however.
The four words you’d been dreading. Well, five, you couldn’t be bothered to count properly now. You nodded slowly, sinking onto the sofa opposite him as he looked over you, almost taking in each individual (and extremely beautiful) feature of your face.
He’d never say you weren’t attractive, but neither would he admit that you are. Lando wasn’t a liar. He knew a pretty girl when he saw one, and right now, that’s who was sitting in front of him. It was like he was seeing you in a new light, your gorgeous features and just…everything.
Love? It simply couldn’t be. You were his assistant! His image…his media personality…his…oh but he’d ever so gladly get lost in your gorgeous eyes than have any of that. But he couldn’t. You’d think he was…weird, and obsessive.
Lando was snapped out of his wistful thinking by your eyes boring deep into his, expecting him to speak. “Ah, yes,” he said, his daydream fading away, the perfect reality he had dreamt of the last few days he had been kept with your blurring into the back of his mind.
“There’s this article going round…” he spoke, choosing his words carefully. “I’m aware,” you said, your voice a little sharper than you’d intended, Lando’s brow raising at the tone. You’d expected him to maybe yell at you, or tell you to stay in your place, but he didn’t. Instead he…laughed?
You had seen Lando laugh before, yes, but never in front of you…properly. It was hard to explain. But it was shocking, nonetheless. “Right,” he said, his eyes crinkling a little in amusement, his dimples evident. Wow, he was gorgeous. Truly.
With his chocolate brown curls, emerald green eyes that turned to icy blue or fading grey depending on the lighting, his soft rosy pink lips. And the little moles, one above his lip and one on his cheek. It just added an element of…well, him. Wow, you were getting lost in your own thoughts now.
And once again, you were dragged out of the by the sound of his voice, piercing through your day dream. How could you both sit and have a conversation without just getting lost in the other? This wasn’t right. It was wrong. But it felt so good to just…it felt so right to do the wrong thing.
You were his assistant, someone he had hired to work, not for him to gawk at. But he couldn’t help it. “Well, you know the girl’s not you,” he said, his voice back to serious once again. “Uh, the comments are a little…” he trailed off as you nodded, recalling a few of them.
They weren’t nice enough to be repeated, to say the least. “I feel the need to apologise for it,” he said, almost confused at his tone. No. Fucking. Way. Lando Norris apologising to his assistant for something that technically wasn’t even his fault? “For a lot of things,”. Ah, this was getting better and better.
“Keep smirking like that and I’ll wipe your wages,” in a tone which he had hoped would be serious, but came out slightly more amused than he wished, as you watched smugly. You knew what he meant by ‘a lot of things’ so shook your head signalling him not to force himself to say it.
Yes, it had taken a while, but yes, you had finally broken down Lando Norris’ barriers, and you were more than happy to be the one to do it.
A/N - chat is this real?

Reader x Rafe. They have only been on a few dates. They do not have a claim on each other. Rafe’s cousing is visting for the weekend, unknown to her, and is a really pretty girl. Rafe posts a photo of her on his story on instagram, having dinner. Reader assumes the worst, that he is keeping his options open and dating others, and it makes her really sad when she only had eyes for him. She is aware that that they have not had a talk about dating others, and she does not have the ’’right’’ to be so sad but still is, wanting him to just feel like her, liking her so much that he does not want to see anyone else. Rafe at some point later after his family/cousin dinner is done, he texts reader at night, asking if she wants to talk on the phone ’missing her voice’ but she just scoffs sadly to herself reading it, now thinking he is just a bit of a pig, thinking she truly meant nothing to him for him to be so casual about it. Unknown to her, Rafe feels exactly the same as her, not wanting anyone but her and is walking in circles at home in panic talking to himself, wondering what he has done. He does not want to be to pushy as they have just started dating so he does not harass her with texts. A few days go by and he sees her at the bonfire with her friends, kind of approaches her like he approached Kie, very gentle and soft. She tries to just keep it short, answering his questions being polite and goes to leave after getting her drink but he is like ’’wow wow wow, wait. You’re not answering my calls. I feel like I’ve done something to upset you and it’s killing me’ and she kind of brings up the girl, not in an accusing way, more so like ’’I get it. You wanna keep your options open. I’m just not comfortable with that because I like you a lot. We had a good run but I guess that is it. Take care of yourself’’ with a sad smile but then he stops her from walking away and clears up the misunderstanding and its a sweet ending

----------------
Rafe Cameron was a pig. Three months of talking, and he finally asked you out. And now he was on a date with someone else.
But what else were you expecting from the ‘Kook king’? Your friends were right. You shouldn’t have even bothered with Rafe. He would always be a fucking man-whore with too much money and too little empathy. Of course you were a game to him, what else would you be? You were a pogue. You were nothing in his eyes, just a fuck. You weren’t even his real girlfriend. He had no claim on you, and you had no claim on him.
----------------
You would’ve genuinely stabbed yourself in the eye if it meant you got to stop watching them interact. Rafe and that blonde girl. You’d never seen her on the island, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t from here. Random people spent summers here every year, a lot of people rented out their houses, especially the rich ones, just so someone would be in their mansions while they were busy in Bali, or the Hamptons, or wherever rich assholes went on holidays.
She laughed at something he said and you rolled your eyes. “He’s not even fucking funny,” you scoffed.
JJ rolled his eyes. “I hate to say ‘I told you so’, but-”
“Yeah yeah, you told me, I know,” you sighed. “Thought I could make a kook act like a human, that’s on me,” you held your arms up in defence. You two stood side by side as you shone the cutlery. Serving at the Country Club wasn’t bad, and the tips were good. It’s just you didn’t expect to see him on a date with someone else.
You got off of work at 8pm, Rafe and the blonde girl were still busy chatting when you left. Jj gave you a lift on his bike and you decided to grab all of Rafe’s things and leave them on his doorstep, not even bothering to explain. You knew what you saw. You knew what he was doing. You didn’t care anymore, you were worth more than that.
At about 2am you woke up to your phone ringing.
“Hello?”
Your groggy voice made Rafe smile. It had been a long night of entertaining his annoying beauty-queen cousin, and he wanted to talk to you, to see you. “Hey baby.”
You rolled your eyes. “Hi Rafe.”
“How was your day?” he asked.
“Fine,” your answers were short and to the point. You had no interest in entertaining this anymore. “Yours?”
“Boring as fuck,” he chuckled.
“What did you do today?” you asked, morbid curiosity getting the better of you. You wanted to see if he’d admit it.
“Nothing much, worked out, golf, went to dinner with family, that’s it.”
Of course he was lying. And using his family as a cover? Asshole.
“Why did you call me?” you questioned, trying to act interested, but failing miserably.
“I missed your voice,” he admitted shyly.
“Ok, you heard it, night Rafe,” you sighed before hanging up. A part of you was angry. Another was just upset. How could he see other people? You two had a really good thing going, didn’t you? You thought he was going to ask you to be his girlfriend. How wrong you were. It just reminded you of why you were so apprehensive to date him in the first place, to date anyone in the first place. Maybe you weren’t enough for him. Maybe you weren’t enough at all.
You let yourself try to sleep it off, but the next few days you were down, and everyone could tell. Jj had told the others what had happened, and you could see the pitying glances from Kie and the boys, and the annoyed looks from Sarah. She hated him, genuinely, but this was the last straw. She’d told him not to break your heart. She’d warned him.
“What about the bonfire tonight?” John B offered to the group as the sunset. “That would cheer you up,” he nudged your arm and you grimaced.
“I don’t feel like going out,” you sighed. “You guys go ahead.”
Sarah sighed. “You can’t let this ruin your week Y/n. He’s a dick, he’ll always be a dick, and it wasn’t your fault for liking him. Every single one of my friends as a kid liked him, then he showed his true colours and he’s a dick again. His behaviour is not a benchmark for your value. He’s in the wrong, not you. Come out with us tonight, even if it’s just for 30 minutes, yeah?”
You rolled your eyes, giving in. “Fine.”
----------------
You hadn’t texted him back in three days. He didn’t want to be the pushy ‘be with me all the time’ boyfriend, but he was used to texting you at least once a day. Now you’d left him without a response for 3 whole days. Thinking back, he knew you were being weird during the phone call the other night, and he couldn’t understand what he’d done. Were you losing interest? He hoped you weren’t. You were the only girl who he’d ever been really serious about. You were the only girl he’d ever felt a real connection with. You were his girl, at least, you would be.
He pulled up to the bonfire with one thought in mind, find you.
You pulled up to the bonfire with one thought in mind, hide from Rafe.
----------------
Hiding didn’t exactly last long, especially when he was directly following you around the entire beach. If you went towards the water, he’d come near you, if you went towards the house, he’d come near you, if you went up to the fire, there he just so happened to be, roasting a marshmallow with a big smile on his face. You did notice how he wasn’t carrying around his signature corona, nor was his nose full of white powder. Huh. He’d listened when you said you didn’t like him being ‘uncontrolled’ as you called it, yet he went on a date with another girl. Strange.
You sat away from your friends, by the water, nursing a can of beer. You weren’t a heavy drinker and you’d probably go home after this, since you’d already been at the party for a little while. You watched the sea come in and out. Wave after wave, softly brushing against the shore.
“Hey,” Rafe’s voice brought you out of your trance. He sat down beside you, dirtying whatever expensive shorts he had on.
“Hey,” you answered.
“How are you?” He asked, his tone not missing the awkwardness of this moment. He was nervous before coming up to you, but now? Having to come face to face with your cold tone was becoming unbearable pretty quickly.
“Fine thanks, how are you?” You asked, continuing your staring at the sea.
“Good. Better, now,” he smiled, placing a hand over yours. “You forgot to text me back.”
“Did I?” you didn’t even try to make yourself sound sincere. “Sorry.”
“It’s alright. You been busy? How’s work?”
“It’s fine,” you answered. After a moment of silence, you got up. “I’m going to get another beer-”
“Wait,” he jumped up beside you. “You’re not answering my calls. You’re not talking to me normally. You’re not answering my questions. Have I done something to upset you?”
You scoffed. “I wonder.”
He raised an eyebrow. “What does that mean Y/n? You’re killing me here.”
“Look, I get it you want to keep your options open and we were just casual, it’s fine. I’m just not the kind of girl to just be casual with, alright? That stuff makes me uncomfortable, and I really liked you. But if you want to go and do that, that’s fine, just don’t bring me into it,” you explained calmly. “Goodbye Rafe.”
“Wait, wait, wait, wait!” he called after you, making you turn back. “What are you talking about?”
“I saw you at the Country Club with the blonde girl, Rafe, seriously, your dating life is your own- what?” You stopped talking because Rafe had started pulling a disgusted face. “What’s wrong?”
“That’s my cousin,” he explained. “My super annoying cousin.”
And everything made a bit more sense. The family comment wasn’t a lie. Now that you think about it, they did look pretty similar.
“Oh.”
“You thought we were on a date?”
“Well it was candle-lit,” you chuckled.
“All the tables at the club are candle-lit past 8pm!” He laughed. “That’s why you’ve been ignoring me? You thought I was cheating on you?”
“Well, we haven’t technically said we were dating so… I just assumed you were keeping your options open,” you shrugged.
Rafe cracked a smile. “You think I’d pick anyone over you?”
You shrugged. “People do.”
“People are fucking stupid,” he wrapped an arm around your shoulder as you two walked further down the beach. “So, Y/n Y/l/n, will you do me the honours of officially being your boyfriend?”
“Only if you do me the honours of being your girlfriend,” you smiled. He turned to you and cupped your cheek, pressing his lips to yours. “I’m all yours, promise.”

Pretending to be their s/o
Includes -- Kuroo, Bokuto, Iwaizumi
Testuro Kuroo
It's the usual day at the grocery store, picking up food for you and your pets. You grab one little outfit for your cat and smile, she would look good in this. While you're walking around, you hear someone talking. You're not usually a nosy person, but you overheard some conversation. "Look, I'm sorry ma'am, but you're really not my type." You can hear a girl whining and trying to flirt.
You peek your head around the aisle and see a man trying to turn down a girl. He looks about your age. You take pity on the guy and walk over to him. "Babe! Don't you think Cosmo would look good with this!" You raise the frog hat and smile, looking up at the guy, hoping he gets the hint and plays along. It would be embarrassing if he just asks who you are. But he smiles at you, sending you a quiet thank you.
"You already have enough of those hats for her, take pity on the cat." You pout and look over at the girl. "Oh? Who's this, a friend?" You smile at her as she scowls at you. "You know this girl, Testu?" The girl puts on an obnoxious whiny tone. You're tempted to cover your ears. But now you know what to call him. "Yes, I'm his girlfriend." You smile at her again. Then you look up at him and pout again. "But you and Cosmo looked so cute with the matching bunny ears last month. I still have pictures that I can send to your sister." Kuroo blushes and looks towards you, "I thought you deleted those." He sighs and grabs one of the things he came into the aisle for, "fine, you can get the frog hat." You smile and you both leave the aisle, leaving the girl confused and a little mad.
You check out and leave the store, Kuroo offers you a bow and smiles at you, "thank you for helping, I didn't know what I should've done." You smile at him as he takes your bags out of your hand, "how about I walk you home? As a thank you."
Iwaizumi Hajime
"Wow! Your arms are so big!" The girl puts her hand on Iwaizumi's arm, not reading the signals that he's uncomfortable. Iwa smiles a little and thanks her, trying to lean away from her. "Sorry I'm late!" You run into the gym and see Iwa with a girl. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth.
You've liked Iwa since high school, but you didn't know how to confess to him. But you can see the uncomfortable look on his face, so you take the initiative. You walk up the Iwa and grab his hand, "who's this, baby?" You look over at the girl with a slight glare. Iwaizumi looks down at you and sighs, "I don't know." He looks over to the girl and scowls a little. "Just some girl that won't leave me alone."
Iwa never cared about being nice to someone if they bother him. He'd rather outright tell them, but this girl kept cutting him off, not giving him a chance to tell her to leave. But finally, you came. "Let's just go."
You both walk away, telling another staff to take her out of the gym, she doesn't work her so she can't be here. Iwa pulls you away from the scene and smiles down at you, "thanks for helping." He could feel his heart beating, hoping you can't hear it. He's liked you since high school, maybe this is his chance to confess. "You know, you're cute when you're jealous."
Kotaro Bokuto
Bokuto is a very cheerful person, but he can get very mad, sad, or just change his emotions very quickly. People usually label him as someone who is stupid, someone who can't read social cues. But that's far from the truth, he just doesn't know how to tell someone no.
And unfortunately, that's what got him into this situation. He couldn't say no to Kuroo bringing him out to this restaurant. And here he is, getting hit on by some bartender. He just came for a drink, but the minute he sat down, this lady wouldn't stop bothering him. Gushing about how she saw him on TV, how he won nationals and how big of a fan she is. He understands that he has fans, but this is too much.
"You don't understand. I'm like your biggest fan!" He smiles, trying to find an opening to leave, but she wouldn't stop talking. "Thanks, um, can I get my drink now?" She pouts and brings her hand up, placing it on his bicep. "How about coming back to my place? My shift ends in 10 minutes~"
"My love, who's this?" You saw Bokuto from the other side of the bar and took pity on him. Of course, you knew him, your brother gushes about him every time he turns on the TV. Bokuto looks over at you, quickly understanding the situation and smiled. "Just some bartender." You smile at the girl, "two shots of tequila, please." The girl glares but gets to work.
"Thank you! I didn't know what to do." Bokuto rubs the back of his neck, smiling at you. You nod, accepting his thank you. Bokuto grabs the shots and leads over to his table, getting ready to be teased by his friends.

The Golden Child Part IV
SAGAU & Impostor AU where the reader is the child of the actual creator.
Warnings: Blood, crying blood, mention of abduction and terrorism.
If you haven't read part 3 yet, you can find it here.
Please understand that I won't add new people to the taglist as it has become way too large now. I'm sorry if this causes any inconvenience.
The acting Grand Sage was having a very, very busy week.
With his resignation coming soon, he wanted to finish every document that needed his immediate attention; somehow, his shift was never enough to finish everything on time.
Piles of documents that never seemed to end. Countless people needed his help that went from the most mundane things to twisted crimes that needed the immediate intervention from the Matra. In any case, once he started his working hours, there was no time to waste.
So, that was why the presence of the man in front of him managed to irk him greatly. There was enough time to be a nuisance at home, why did Kaveh feel the need to come bother him at work?
"But I'm telling you!" The blonde exclaimed. "There's definitely something weird about it!"
He sighed. "Well then, did it look like that child was being held against their will?"
"Well, no, but—"
"Then there's nothing I can do. The most I can offer is to send a Matra to investigate and/or interrogate that Lord. For all you know, they could simply be an Eremite's child."
Kaveh wanted to tell him that no, that wasn't the case, but in reality he didn't know that. There was just a feeling, a strange sensation that made him think that there must be something more about them. Kidnapped, an Eremite's child, the illegitimate Lord's child... No option sat well with him.
If Alhaitham saw that child, would he share Kaveh's thoughts?
Fuck it. If Alhaitham didn't want to help him, then he would investigate this matter himself.
Just as he was about to curse his roommate and storm away, the grand doors opened with a loud bang. Before seeing who intruded like that, they first heard the loud gasps and whispers of the scholars outside his office.
"Alhaitham!" The voice of a particular forest watcher resonated around the room. Both him and Kaveh were taken aback at the sight of the newcomers. They were bloody, beaten up, with bandages loosely covering certain areas of their bodies as if they only did it to stop the bleeding and not for properly treating the wounds. Collei was supporting both her weight and Tighnari's, as she was helping him stand and walk. "We need your help!"
The fact that Tighnari didn't refer to him as 'acting Grand Sage' denoted alarming urgency. He quickly rose from his seat and called for immediate medical help. Kaveh ran to his friend's side, gently removing him from Collei and letting him use his own body as support, earning a thankful glance from the girl. The wounds in his body started to bleed again, soaking the bandages and some of Kaveh's clothes in the process.
"What happened to you?!" The blonde asked in a panic.
Collei was still taking deep breaths, exhausted for having to carry her mentor all the way to Sumeru City. "The Ville! We were attacked!"
Alhaitham opened his eyes all the way thanks to his surprise. How come the Gandharva Ville had been attacked and he was only finding out now? By the look of the injuries, he guessed it must've happened yesterday.
"Wow, calm down! Breathe first." Kaveh said. "Explain what happened."
As the medic of the Akademiya arrived and started to treat Tighnari, Collei composed herself and started to explain everything from the beginning.
She told them about the child in the forest that was attacked by Eremites, with their family presumably dead by the Eremite's hands. How Tighnari heard them and immediately appeared to help the kid, safely escorting them to the Gandharva Ville so they could decide what to do next. She also explained how those mercenaries came back for revenge, attacking their Ville and abducting the child once every fighter was down.
Her words shocked the blonde. He looked at his roommate, half in disbelief that his own suspicions turned out to be true.
"You say they took them? Grabbed them and disappeared into the forest?"
"Yes, yes... I was knocked out and they managed to get to them...!" Collei cried. "You have to do something! Those Eremites killed their family and now have kidnapped them!"
The grand doors opened once again, and Tighnari and Kaveh both breathed a sigh of relief at the figure standing in the doorway.
The general Mahamatra had arrived.
"I heard there was a commotion here." Cyno spoke. Tighnari greeted him by saying his name, which made the newcomer turn his attention to him. When he laid his eyes upon the wounded fox hybrid and saw how beaten up he was, his blood boiled with deep rage. "What happened?"
Sensing danger from the short man, Alhaitham quickly composed himself and started to explain the situation. This didn't seem to help Cyno calm down. In fact, every word he spoke only served to fuel his anger.
"We must do something then. That child must be in danger." The general said. "We must rescue them. I'll also arrange for the other matras to track down and hunt those Eremites that raided the Ville."
Tighnari nodded. "Let's go."
"YOU won't go. The 'we' I was talking about is composed of Alhaitham, the Matra and I."
"What?!" Kaveh, Tighnari and Collei cried in unison.
"Regarding the seriousness of the situation, it's only natural that this matter is solved within members of the Matra and Akademiya." Alhaitham explained. "It could be extended to inhabitants of the Gandharva Ville, but the only thing they need now is a good doctor and a lot of rest."
"No way!" Tighnari shouted. "I have to get them back! I have to, I have to..."
His voice faded into intelligible mumbles, repeating again and again the same words. This was the first time Cyno had seen his best friend like this. What could have happened to make him act this way? Those damned Eremites... He would make sure they paid for what they've done.
Alhaitham and the grand general were quick to exit the office and start gathering people to accompany them to Alcazarzaray.
This matter had to be settled right now.
One of the people present also made his way to the exit, only that she did in the complete opposite way.
.
You were feeling very, very warm.
It was as if a giant marshmallow was enveloping you, gently offering a comfortable space to rest while you dozed off with a sense of security.
Suddenly, hand rested on your head, carefully caressing your hair in a loving manner. You opened your eyes, only to find a silhouette cradling you and watching you with hearts on their eyes.
"Keep sleeping, stardust." A soothing voice came out of their lips. "Once you wake, I won't get to hold you like this again."
The sadness in their tone made your heart ache. You gently raised your hand and rested it on their cheek, smiling when they wore a surprised expression.
"Tata..." You whispered. "Papa said they took you..."
You tried to keep smiling, you were seeing your parent again! But the thought of everything that happened only fueled the pain in your chest, making you let a sob out before starting to fully crying.
Your parent stopped the caressing to instead hug you tightly. Whispered sweet words in your ear. "You're too young for everything's that happening. How I wish I could still be hugging you in reality, and not just in this dream."
So this was a dream. Well, it didn't matter. This was the place your parent was, where you could touch them once again.
"Why did they do it...?" You could only ask between sobs.
You could hear your tata let a sigh. Both them and your father had tried to explain everything to you, at least the best they could to a little child. But maybe all you needed right now was the truth.
"I'm the one who created this world." They spoke. With a wave of their hand, something akin to stardust was born from it. It made you giggle a little. "And as such, I also wanted to live here as a mortal like everyone. Like your father, like you."
You looked into their eyes and saw all the love they had for you.
"I descended in a new body, with no powers and no memory. But the mortals and gods... Over time, they became obsessed with the idea of me. Of a being of pure love, power, and divinity. Being in a mortal body, I possessed none of that, so it was only natural that they thought I was an impostor trying to deceive them."
With each word, their tone became more and more solemn. "They... killed my body, so I now return to be a deity unapproachable by any of them. Any, except for you."
They kissed your nose gently.
"You are my child, my flesh and blood, and though I had a mortal body when you were conceived, my divinity still flows in you."
Their fingers brushed the cut in your arm, the one you got when you protected your father back in the Chasm. You averted your eyes from it. It only served to remind you what you lost that day.
"I want nothing more than destroy this world and the people in it for everything they've done to their own creator. But..."
Strangely enough, those words filled with hatred did not worry you in the slightest. Was it because it was your parent who said them? "But...?" You trailed on.
"But you and him still live here. And I do not wish for you both to feel anything remotely close to what I've experienced."
The hug enveloping you became a little tighter, as if your tata was trying to heal all their pain by embracing you.
It was a silent promise. One that said that as long as you both were alive, then the world would remain untouched.
"I miss you." You whispered, hiding your face in their chest.
"I miss you too, stardust. I hope you both live your life to the fullest before finally being reunited again. I love you."
You felt a warm and gentle kiss on your forehead and raised your head to see your parent one last time only to find a pillow resting above you, right where your tata had been. You let a sad sigh at the sight of an unknown bedroom and strange bed.
So, it really was just a dream. But it felt so real... you could still feel the tenderness of their touch and the tingle their lips left on your skin. How you missed your family...
Looking at the window in front of the bed, you noticed that the sun was already starting to set. It seemed that you fell asleep crying in your aunt's arms, how embarrassing. But to sleep all day? It really showed how your situation was exhausting your little body.
There was a small table at your right side with a plate of food on it. There was a note attached to it, with your name written on the upside. You took it and tried to read it, but the handwriting was very different from your parent's. You recognized some letters, but the words were pretty confusing.
Still, even if you couldn't read it, it left a warm feeling in your chest knowing that Dori cared enough to leave you some food and a little note for the moment you woke up.
With the piece of paper in your hand, you rushed to your backpack and took the stuffed animal from the inside, putting both items on the bed. They were your treasures now.
If only you had something from your father as well...
Opting to occupy your mind to not get sad, you tried to approach the table with the snack before a loud bang resonated around the entire palace. It seemed that someone was knocking on the front door, really hard.
As you tried to peek outside the room to see what was going on, you were surprised when Dori quickly came in and pushed you inside, closing the door behind her.
"Auntie? What's happening?" You asked with a slight tremble on your voice. Had trouble come again? Could those people from Liyue have finally found you?
"Ah, that? It's nothing. Probably the Matra trying to arrest me again for 'alleged' scams." She laugh, clearly unbothered by the whole situation. "What do you have there?"
You looked where she was pointing, right at your stuffed animal. "Oh! That's my favorite plush. Tata made it for me for my last birthday."
She smiled and picked it up in her hands. "Look at this cute thing! Handmade goods tend to sell pretty well."
Dori put the plush back where it was and turned to face you.
"Well, I see that you still haven't eaten. What do you say we have dinner together? The chef prepares the best dishes in all Teyvat!"
You giggled. "Okay!"
"Sweet! Then we—"
She stopped in the middle of the sentence as the sound of the main doors opening filled the mansion. This set her right on edge, as the butler had strict orders to not open the door to anybody, not even for the Matra or Grand Sage himself. She pressed herself to the door of the room to hear what was happening in the main hall.
"Aunt Dori?" You were confused by the sudden change of demeanor. You grabbed the stuffed animal and held it to your chest, trying to get some sense of comfort.
"Shh." She motioned for you to remain silent, so you did. Voices could be heard, and even the distressed wails of the butler resonated around the halls. Whatever was happening, it was undoubtedly bad.
Dori looked at you, which made you startle a little. "Did something happen back with the Eremites?" She asked.
"Um, well..." You trailed off, nervous. "Back in the forest, a boy from a place called Gandharva Ville found me first. He brought me back with him, and those mercenaries had to attack the city because of that misunderstanding."
She pushed her head back as the voices got louder, undoubtedly investigating the mansion in the search of something. Someone.
"Fuck, those idiots didn't even bother to tell me anything. No wonder even the Grand Sage is here." The woman mumbled under her breath. She sighed and looked back at you. "Change of plans. We have to hide, or else I'll be imprisoned for terrorism and kidnapping. Those are things I don't plan to add to my record. "
Oh no, was this your fault? Was now your aunt in trouble because you didn't go with the Eremites right away? First, the nice people in the Ville were attacked, and now Dori was going to be blamed for it.
"Quick! Let's go through the secret passage!"
She locked the door behind her and rushed to the bed, pushing it to separate the furniture from the wall. You quickly gathered the plush and the letter and put them in the backpack before helping Dori move the bed. There was a different color right where the headboard rested, and the merchant wasted no time in tearing the wallpaper to reveal a small door beneath.
The Matra was getting closer, so Dori was in a hurry to get you both out of the house. She motioned for you to go first, so you crossed the small passage while she stayed behind temporarily to move back the bed to where it was.
You found yourself back at the gardens, just at the back of the manor away from the people that were surrounding the perimeter. Nobody seemed to have spotted you yet, so you waited for Dori to crawl from the secret passage before running away.
"Stay low. These guys are the real deal here." She whispered before taking your hand in hers and guiding you through the less visible parts of the lot.
You were almost at the entrance of the forest when a member of the Matra spotted you two and quickly gave the signal to his associates.
"There! They're trying to escape using the southern exit!"
It wasn't long before the rest of the Matra started to mobilize in your direction. Dori opted to stop hiding and run as fast as you could, as a last attempt to lose the officials.
You almost managed to reach the edge of the forest when the ground rose in front of you, forming a pillar made of dirt and stones that blocked the path ahead.
"Stop! Lord Sangemah Bay, you are under arrest!"
Turning around, a member of the Matra with a Geo vision was the culprit of your dead end. He was concentrating on maintaining the pillar as the General Mahamatra made his way towards you. Dori put you behind her, which didn't really help to cover you as your heights were not so far away.
"Lord Sangemah Bay." Greeted Cyno, though his voice was filled with nothing but disdain. "I knew you were a scammer, but I'd have never thought of you a terrorist. Have anything to say about this?"
She furrowed her brows but otherwise remained silent. So, he instead looked at you.
"So this is the kid that made you even attack Gandharva Ville to capture. Who is this? Why are you keeping them?"
You wanted to answer him, but the hold Dori had on your hand suddenly felt tighter as if she was silently telling you to keep quiet. Cyno sighed, knowing that he would not get anything out of the pair.
"I see how it is. You both will have to come with the Matra then."
The breeze picked up strongly.
A powerful burst of wind almost knocked Cyno off his feet; he even had to summon his polearm and nail it to the ground to remain in his place. Dirt and leaves started floating from everywhere, and you had to cover your eyes to avoid hurting them.
Only when everything calmed down you ventured to open them once again. You were now facing the back of a small man, with black and green hair and light green tattoos in the visible skin in his arms.
You had a very, very bad feeling about this guy; for the clothing he bore told everyone present that he was foreign to their nation.
"I'm afraid I can't allow to take this child with you."
The stranged summoned his own weapon; a jade colored polearm materialized in his hand as he took a more defensive stance.
"I know you." Cyno spoke. He regained his balance and also held his spear in his hands. "Liyue seems to be pretty far away from here, don't you think?"
Liyue.
This man was here to take you back. Because you were your parent's child, wasn't it? They wanted the child born from the divinity they were obsessed with.
Oh no, no, no, no...
You took one step backward but instantly froze when the boy turned his head to look at you the moment your foot touched the ground. His golden eyes bore right into yours, as if he was nothing more than a predator waiting for the best chance to strike.
However, he promptly returned his attention to the general when he saw that you were no longer moving.
"Heed my words, for this is the only warning I'll offer, mortal. Forget everything about this child, for they are now under the eternal custody of Liyue and the Geo Archon."
Cyno frowned. He still didn't understand the situation that well, but something about you was so special that even the Rex Lapis himself was sending his own acolytes to fetch them. Now, the attack on the Ville made more sense.
He didn't know who you could possibly be, but from the looks of it, you were terrified at the sight of the adeptus. Was this another kidnapping? For a god to step so low...
If anything, he only knew that you didn't want to go with him. So, you should stay here. Right where the Matra could protect you.
He took one step in the adeptus' direction, but the same strong wind from before returned and threatened to send him flying. He could only discern a green stream quickly making his way to where you were standing before vanishing, with the wind closely behind.
When he was able to get the dirt out of his eyes, only the sight of his fellow matra remained. Xiao was gone; you were too. He didn't see the Lord either, but he stopped paying them attention early on. Maybe they took this chance to escape the Matra and avoid any questioning.
His coworkers were quick to offer a hand; two of them helped him stand while the rest immediately started a search party for both Dori and the missing child.
Liyue, huh?
He had to report this to the acting Grand Sage.
There is no justice in letting a handful of people have his way with a kid. He would rescue them, even if he had to cross the whole land to get there.
.
"Isn't the weather beautiful today?"
The Fatui soldier didn't voice her answer, only nodded to maintain her silence. She had her head hanging low, for she was paying respect to the man in front of her.
You had to be always careful when in the presence of Dottore, after all.
"A little bird told me something funny today." His deep tone made chills run down her spine. His silhouette in front of the window gave an ominous feeling, the weather displaying a colorful battle of blue, purple, and yellow thanks to the storm outside. "It appears that the Creator themself descended a few years ago!"
"H-huh?!" She could not help the gasp of surprise that left her mouth but quickly returned to her position of submission when the mad man turned to see her.
Instead of getting angry, he smiled creepily. "Just as you hear. Our Divine Grace finally returned to this world, only that they did in a mortal body. That impostor that every soul on Teyvat made their goal to catch? It turned out to be the real and mighty Overlord!"
The Fatui raised her head in disbelief, watching him as he laughed like a maniac.
"But Liyue was the lucky winner; they managed to grab them and display their headless body for every habitant to see!" He took one step closer to the glass, smiling every time lightning illuminated the scenery. "It's just now that the other nations are finding this out... Inazuma might've been the first, as the only thing covering the skies are the mournful thunder and lightning from the lady that holds their power. Ah, she truly must feel like her heart is being ripped out at these news!"
As if agreeing with him, the sky roared a few times.
"She can grieve all she wants. Morax could've been the executioner, but the rest of them also raised their weapons and didn't hesitate to hurt the Divine One even when they claimed innocence asked for mercy."
She didn't know what to say. Was this true? Their almighty god, their benevolent and loving one... Had already descended and was killed because people simply didn't believe it?
"This is going to be fun." Dottore hummed. "I almost can't wait for when the other archons discover what transpired. Will they unleash their fury and sorrow upon Liyue? Hehe, I sure hope this storm marks the beginning of the end."
He turned around and started to exit the room, but not before giving the soldier under him his last command.
"Wait for the next ship to Snezhnaya to deliver a letter. Inform the Tsaritsa that even though her efforts to reach our Divine One to aid them were hindered by the other archons, this time we can all protect the most precious gift they've left for us."
She looked at him quizzically but made no comment to refuse him.
"That's right." He laughed. "We'll take care of them while the rest of the world crumbles and destroys itself..."

Frat Boy
Kim Minju
Tags: Too lazy to put tags. Just read if you wanna know ;)

Sorry it took a while. It was supposed to be uploaded yesterday. But thanks to Finals approaching I got busy.
It is already the end of class, and you get down the elevator and head to your dorm. But before you can get home. You see one of your frat mates come over to you.
“Dude!” You shout.
Your friend comes over and brofists you.
“You coming to the frat party tonight?”
“Bro, I got a big test next week.”
“So? Your smart ass already studied for that.”
“I just don’t want to fail. I’m still gunning for Dean’s Lister.”
“Come on, man. A sorority is coming over. Time to find some chicks, you know.”
You’re reluctant. Even if you are in a fraternity, you have been hands-off. It is mainly for you to make connections. You have met a couple of interesting figures but nothing much that is interesting.
“You coming?”
“Fine.” You groan.
“It is later tonight. Just come to the house.”
“Yeah. Yeah.” You wave your hand. “I have to go.”
“Hehe. See ya tonight.”
“Yeah.”
~~
You knock on the door. One of your fraternity brothers opens the door.
“Hey.”
“Everyone! Mireu is here!”
You hear cheers for your name.
“Welcome. Sorry for forcing you to not stay in the frat house.”
“Don’t worry. I got my own room anyway.”
“Nice! By the way, do you have the assignment for our physics class?”
“I’ll send you the answers tomorrow.”
“Great! I need them by Monday.”
“No problem.”
You enter the room. There are typical things happening in the house, drinking, playing games, and other roughhousing. But there is one thing new with the place. A set of new sorority girls have arrived. They are the talk of the town with how beautiful they are. But one of them catches your eye.
With all your confidence, you march up to one of them.
“Hey, my name is…”
“Mireu!” She completes your sentence.
“Yeah. I guess you heard.”
“Hi, my name is Chaewon. You must be pretty popular.”
“Nah, it’s mostly because I do their homework.”
“Wow. Can you do mine?”
“Depends. What is it?”
“I don’t know if you can help me. It’s some math assignment.”
“Hand it over to me. I’m sure I can help you with something. Just ring me up. We can have a private tutor session.”
“Oh, that’s nice.” She giggles
Then suddenly someone pulls your arm. “Mireu, let’s play a game.”
“What the heck?!”
He plops you down in a circle with half boys and half girls.
One of the girls grabs a bottle and places it in the center. She spins in and it lands on you.
“What’s this?” You question.
But all the girls giggle and whisper to each other. You can discern that there is someone they want to partner with.
“It’s seven minutes in heaven.”
“What the fuck?!”
You try to stand up but you can’t. The guys around you are already pushing you down back to your seat.
“You got picked. There is no turning back.”
You close your eyes, take a deep breath, and spin the bottle to pick your partner.
It spins. It goes around and points are different people in the circle. You pray and hope that you didn’t get a guy. Then it lands on this one girl. She is quiet and seems like she doesn’t talk much.
Without much hesitation, all of your frat brothers carry you to the bedroom while the girls are bringing the girl you picked to follow you.
They toss you to the bed, then leave you. The girls brought the girl that picked you up and lock the door as they leave.
The girl smiles and introduces herself.
“Hi, my name is Minju.”
“Ugh! Whatever. I’m Mireu.”
“Aren’t we supposed to have sex?”
“Don’t bother. I didn’t want to play this game anyway. So don’t get any ideas.”
“Oh…” Minju sits down on the floor with her back to the wall.”
“You alright?”
“Is…Is… is it because I’m ugly? I saw you talking to Chaewon-unnie. Don’t you want to play with her?”
You get up from the bed and kneel down in front of Minju. “No, I’m not in the mood for sex. Just be quiet or something.”
“Okay…”
She sounds disheartened and quiet for the next thirty seconds.
“Did you want to have sex?” You ask.
“Well, the girls said it is a good idea and a great way for me to lose my virginity.”
“You’re a virgin?”
She affirms with a very slight nod.
“Is this how you wanted to lose your virginity? With a random guy?”
“Maybe…maybe it’s just the pressure. All of the other girls already had sex.”
“Don’t worry about it. Do it with a guy you trust or love. It’s going to feel much better than something like this.”
“You sure?”
“Trust me.”
Then there is a series of loud knocks. “You guys done?”
You shout back. “Yup, we’re just about to finish.”
You stand up and head to the door. But before you can touch the handle, Minju tries to hug you. It is a big surprise from Minju.
“Thanks”. She says as she buries her head into your chest.
You are shocked to see such a gesture from some you just met.
“Uhh…. What are you doing?”
“Oh..sorry.” She lets go of the grip on you. Instead, she turns around and heads out of the door. You can peek thru and see her run into the crowd.
Chaewon comes over and checks you out. “You done I guess?”
“Sure…” You reply. Minju is stuck in your head all night. She is shy and quiet, something you found cute. But with her? She seems like an outsider compared to everyone in the room.
The night goes on. You are done with playing seven minutes of Heaven. Good thing that they didn’t invite you to play again. Instead, you are with Chaewon, talking to her. You found her fun to be around. Just asking random questions and things seems to click.
“So, Mireu, what’s your major?”
“Me? Actuarial Science.”
“Oh, What’s that?”
“Just think Statistics.”
“Oh! You must be smart then?”
“You can say.”
“What’s your GPA?”
“3.95”
“Oh…. let me use the restroom.”
She leaves you to be on the couch. You wait there while she does her business. You wait ten minutes. Then fifteen. It becomes thirty. You check your watch and see it is already almost midnight. At this point you give up, you head out of the house and into your car.
But before you can step on the sidewalk you turn to your right. It’s Minju.
“Ya!”
Minju is jumps since she was startled.
You look around and see no one else then you put your attention to her. “Need a lift?”
“Uhhhh…. Chaewon-unnie told me that she is going to pick me up.”
“She’s long gone.”
“You sure?”
“Has your text even been delivered?”
“No….”
“She’s probably hooking up with another guy. Come on, you can ride with me.”
“You sure?”
“Do you want to be left alone here?” You almost scold her.
She follows you to your car. You head for the driver’s seat while she goes for shotgun.
The car ride was mostly silent. She just gives you her address as your head to her place. You observe her. She is very timid, leaning at the window but then you see a shed of tears coming out of her ducts.
“Are… are you crying?”
She sits up straight and wipes the tears off her cheek. “No.” She says while she sniffles.
“Don’t make a mess on my seat.”
“Sorry….”
“There is some tissue on the glove box.”
She takes some out and wipes her tears.
“Ugh fine…. What’s wrong?”
“It’s….. it…just you didn’t want to have sex with me.”
“You really think that having sex with a random guy is going to fix your problems?”
“No….”
“So why did you join?”
“Same as you, I guess….my friends pressured me. Chaewon-unnie always describes how good it is. But I never experience something like that.”
“Don’t fall for that peer pressure. You find the guy when you find the guy.”
This cheers her up a bit but she still continues to cry. Soon as you reach her house, she is already cleaned up.
Minju exits your vehicle with a smile. She waves at you before she gets in her door. As soon as you know she is safe you back up to the road and go home. But suddenly a small smile forms. You feel happy a bit. You haven’t felt like this since your last girlfriend who cheated on you before you left for college.
~~
That girl Minju lingers in your mind for the rest of the semester. You go thru classes. Everything that happens, you can see Minju doing it. Her face is plastered to all the girls in the room. You can’t get that girl out of your mind. All you see is her. She is the only thing on your mind.
Now it is the start of a new school year. You already became an inactive member of your fraternity. Finally, you feel a bit free from your old responsibilities. But you still try to keep a connection with them but now you gave your pin to the president.
~~
Finally, you can give one hundred percent of your attention to your schooling. But then you can see that face again, that mysterious face. You see it then it is gone. Like she is following you but you can’t really tell who it is.
You go to one of your classes. When you get in, there aren’t a lot of people yet. It is early, what do you expect?
As the good student you are, you take a seat where you can get a good view of the class. As you take out your notebook, you see her. It’s Minju. It has been a while since you last saw her. But now you can see her every week.
She looks around for a seat. It didn’t seem like she noticed you. She just goes around finding a decent seat. Then she sees one beside you. It still doesn’t seem like she knows you. But as she comes closer, a sense of embarrassment ruins her.
The first thing she does is to do a ninety-degree bow to you and walks away.
“Wait! You can sit here.”
She looks at you and goes back to the seat that she originally wanted.
“Hello.” She mumbles.
“It’s Minju, right?”
“How do you want me to address you?”
“Just…Oppa, I guess?”
“Okay….Oppa.”
“You okay?”
“Sorry, I didn’t expect you to be here.”
“Just relax. I know the prof. He is chill.”
“Really?”
Then the door opens. It is the professor that you told Minju about. He comes in front and introduces himself. He is a chill prof unlike the many that you wish could change him. As the class is about to end, he gives out an assignment for everyone.
You turn to Minju. “Wanna work together ?”
“Sure.” She happily agrees.
It’s the first time that she has been relaxed with you. But when she smiles. It hits you. You noticed how beautiful she is despite her dorky appearance. When he wasn’t very confident with her looks, you can see past that. You are starstruck.
“Do you need my number?” Minju asks.
You snap out of the trance the nod. She hands her phone to you and you type down your number.
“Sorry, Oppa. Let’s do the assignement later. I have a class.”
“Just text me or call. Whatever works for you.”
She chuckles. “I’ll just text you.” She waves bye as you sit on your sit, smitten. That one moment when you look at her, you wish that she is your girlfriend.
~~
The day goes on. You keep on staring at your phone to check to see if Minju has responded to you. Hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second. Each moment is filled with your thoughts of Minju. Then suddenly, during one of your classes, your phone vibrates.
“Hi, Oppa. Sorry for being so forward. Wanna do the assignment together?”
You quickly grab your phone. “Sure. When are you free?”
“I’m thinking after school. Umm….. I’m busy until then.”
You ponder for a moment. It shouldn’t be this easy to get a date. “You sure? I don’t want to keep you busy.”
Bubbles pop up on the bottom of the screen. Then it disappears.
Is this too much?
Then it pops up and a message is sent. “It’s no problem. Can we meet at your place? My place is a mess thanks to my roommate.”
You get nervous. This isn’t like you. The feeling inside your gut isn’t something you are used to, especially for a girl.
“Sure. I’ll meet you at 7?”
~~
You wait near the exit of your school. You check your watch and see it is almost seven. She is still not there. You check your watch again, barely anytime has passed. Then you see a group of girls passing by. You can see there is less than a handful of them. In the back is Minju. She comes closer and greets you, still wearing those nerdy glasses she had when you first met.
“Hi…oppa…” She is still nervous like you are meeting for the first time.
“Hey, Minju.”
The pack of girls behind are now giggling. Minju’s hands are shaking. “Sorry about them. They’re my sorority sisters.”
“You okay?”
“Yeah….”
“Don’t worry about them.”
“Okay.” Her voice is now more stable.
Then one of the girls shouts as you leave. “Treat her well.”
You can remember that voice as Chaewon’s. The girl you are supposed to meet that night before you met Minju.
Your attention is now on Minju as you bring her home.
Minju asks you about your dinner. “Have you eaten?”
“Oh, not yet.” Your mind has been nothing but Minju that you forgot to eat.
“Where do you want to get food?”
You check around the area and you see nothing but a convenience store.
“You…want 711?”
“Sure.”
You head inside and see what’s being served. There are some packed meals, sandwiches, and other quick and easy goodies. You look around and see the options. Minju is looking around as well and picks up something while you grab something more filling,
“You sure that’s enough, Minju?”
“It’s fine. I had a late lunch.”
You shrug your shoulder and head to the counter.
The clerk asks. “Want me to heat this up?”
“Sure.” You say. “Minju can you get me something to drink.”
She nods and waddles to the drinks section and turns behind the shelves.
“You dating her?” The clerk asks.
“I wish.”
“She seems nice.”
“Really?”
“Not my type but I’m sure. She’ll be fine for you.”
“Thanks. She’s cute.”
Minju returns with two cans of soda. “Here, I hope you like Coke.”
“It’s alright.” You look at her with a smile.
“Okay, is that all?”
You nod to the clerk as he packs up your food and drinks.
You and Minju leave the place but she is a bit clumsy but you pick her up before she falls to the ground.
“Are you okay?” You carefully ask Minju.
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Then you both head up to your apartment.
“Let’s eat first. I’m hungry.”
“Sure…”
Dinner is quiet. You eating and Minju is right beside you. It calls you to do something but you cannot find anything to start the conversation.
“Minju…” You try to open up.
She turns to you.
“Oh, wait.” You get up and grab a napkin then return back. “There is something on your face.”
Then there you are after cleaning up her, you face up against each other. You can feel her heartbeat and it is going fast. She isn’t backing up.
You look up and down then focus on her lips. This feels like forever. The thought of kissing those lips. The thought of your first kiss with Minju. Then you got tired of waiting and go for it. You kiss her lips. It is sweet as nectar the taste of Minju is on your lips.
You break the kiss for a moment.
“Minju, you like that?”
“Very much.”
Then you go for it. You cup her cheeks as your kiss her for the second time. Your hands from her cheeks down to her neck and to her breast. But she stops you and moves back.
“Minju!” you call her out. “Are you alright?”
“Ummm…..sorry. It’s just. You’re my first and….I don’t know if I’m ready.”
“Remember that night? When we first met?”
“Of course I do. You rejected me.”
“Minju!”
“Yes?”
“Do you want me to be your first?”
“Yes but can we be… ge—”
For the third time, you dive into her lips and into the couch. The force you put upon her makes the both of you laugh. So you kiss again as she starts to undress you. You remove your shirt and unbutton her blouse. You can see her pair of breasts locked by a brasserie.
Minju removes her blouse and unbuttons her bra. Her breasts are now free for you to use. You start to suck on them, playing with the nipple simultaneously. As you enjoy your time with Minju’s breasts, your hand starts to linger down to her blue jeans. It unbuttons her pants and slides inside her panties.
You play with her gently. First slowly, then turn into rough. But as soon as Minju feels it, she stops you.
“Let’s just do this gently please.”
“Okay, how do you want to do this?”
“Umm…I’m not sure. But….”
“You just want to go straight to sex?”
“Sure!”
You lead her to the bedroom. Her chest is exposed and her pants are halfway down. You push her to the bed and move back to kissing.
“After that night, I never thought you’ll actually be in my bedroom.”
“Aren’t you happy?”
“I’ll wouldn’t have done it any other way.”
You peck her lips one more time then stand up.
“You ready?”
She gets up and removes her pants and her panties while you get naked. You look at each other and laugh a bit.
“You think it is small?”
“Well, I don’t have a comparison.”She squeezes her breasts. “You think these are small?”
“I don’t care. Boobs are boobs and yours are great.”
She blushes.
You grab her and pull her closer. “Let’s just do this simple, okay?”
She looks up to you and smiles. “Sure.”
You kiss her again and gently lay her on your bed. Your hands interlock in this passionate set. Then finally you align your tip to her entrance. You thrust inside. Minju grunts as there is a hint of pain.
“You okay?”
“I’m fine. Just continue.”
You run in deeper and you can feel as if you are at your max. Then you slowly start thrusting. First in and out, just getting used to her unused pussy. Then when things are running smoothly, you move faster and faster. Things become more and more pleasurable which causes you to moan.
You notice that Minju’s eyes are closed but with a smile of satisfaction. She also grunts as she takes you in. But those grunts turn into moans like yours. They both become louder and louder. You try to silence her but forcing a kiss. It works for a second but instead of kissing you for longer, Minju bites your lip.
“Fuck me. That’s hot.”
“You like that?”
“Very much.”
You fuck again and kiss her again. It is getting up to you. You thrust faster and faster, feeling the deepest parts of her womb.
You can’t stop. Her pussy feels better after each second. Her breasts jiggle as your large force is inside Minju.
“Fuck! Minju! Ugh!”
“Come on, get me more, Oppa!”
Those words encourage you to move in deeper and deeper. You try to pleasure yourself and Minju as much as you can and it works. Your cock is feeling the best as it can with a virgin hole while you can hear Minju shout in delight.
It is hard for her to stop moaning and groaning. It starts to fill the room. For you, your own sounds of orgasm are in perfect key with Minju’s.
Then you can feel your gut turn. It is time. Your cock is throbbing.
“Minju! I’m going to—”
Then you spew your seed. You empty every single drop of semen inside her. Rounds, rounds of cum run inside her.
You pull back and see Minju catching her breath. She looks tired but still beautiful. You jump in bed with her and pull her in your arms.
“Oppa, that was amazing.”
“You must have enjoyed that.”
“Mhm.” She nods.
You pet her hair as Minju falls asleep. As you see her gently slumbering, you start to drift to rest.
~~
It’s the next day. Laying beside you is Minju. She is sound asleep so you try to quietly leave the room, still naked from last night. You quickly try to pick up something to wear. Once you are dressed, you head out and look for something to eat in the morning.
You can still see the food you left for dinner and then pack them up. You clean up the small mess you left behind. Then you hear a creak on the door. It is Minju. She is still holding her clothes from last night.
“You wanna leave?”
“Sorry, I thought you left.”
“Minju, do you want to date?”
“Date?”
“Do you think that last night meant nothing?”
“No, I mean….I’d love to be your girlfriend.”
You open your arms open and walk to Minju. You embrace her as she snuggles up against your chest.
“Come on, we still have class.”

Civvie Danny/Jason, Fluffy
@nerdpoe
“Um, I’m sorry,” a voice said, interrupting Jason’s reading. He looked up into deep blue eyes mostly hidden under unruly bangs. Jason idly wondered if the other was growing it out for a mohawk with the way the sides were shaved or if they just liked having the gangs to hide behind. “Can I share your table? It’s just that…”
They pulled their hand away from rubbing nervously at the back of their neck to motion at the library around them. It had gotten busy while Jason has been reading. There really were no open tables, though there were other seats. That made Jason curious, but weary. Between his size and his fame as a Wayne, people usually avoided him as the first choice to bother. That, or the bee-lined to him in hopes to get in his good graces.
Still, they seemed more apologetic than fame hungry. Jason gave a little shrug and reached out to pull in his spread of books a little. “Sure.”
“Thanks,” they said, gratefully, and sank heavily into the seat. “Most of the tables with plugs are full up and my laptop only pretends to be portable with the shit battery life it has. Wow, sorry, you so do not care about that. I’m only like, day two and a half of no sleep and my mouth tends to go off on its own… as you’re hearing right now. I should really just shut up.”
Their cheeks were bright red as they practically hid behind the truly ancient behemoth of a laptop. It made the freckles that had been nearly invisible on their tan skin before stand out like constellations.
“Hey, it’s fine, we’ve all been there. College is just like that,” Jason said, wanting to assure them for some reason. “I’m Jason… he, they.”
Tim and Cass had been encouraging him to use his pronouns when introducing himself. He was still getting used to it, but it was freeing. Besides, he could ignore any shit looks he got for it, it wasn’t like the bigots could hurt him.
That blue gaze peaked back out from under the bangs and they smiled a little. “Danny. Any, really, but people use he mostly.”
Jason returned the smile before turning his attention back to the book he’d been pouring through. Maybe in an hour he’d ask if Danny wanted to go get coffee. He bet by asking he’d get to see that blush again.

Stranded (Minho x fem!reader (one-shot))
pt. 1, Pt. 2
ok so this is my first time writing any sort of fanfic but I thought I would give it a shot!
Warnings: contains spice and mild cursing
Context: high school au with everyone from the glade plus people from the other mazes like Sonya, Aris, and also Brenda. Minho's on the track team (obviously) and reader is on the debate team. Enemies to lovers
Word count: 4.4k
! I proof read but there might still be spelling mistakes !
You were in your junior year in high school, and you had already gotten a couple months into the school year. It was early October and the weather began to change, becoming slightly colder and colder each day. You could feel a cold gust of wind hit your face as you walked out of your school's double doors. You walked over and lent on one of the pillars your school had built in front of the main entrance as you began to slip your phone out of your pocket.
You only had one new notification from Brenda which read,
'sorry girl I won't be able to pick u up tdy. I got an email a couple of hours ago from my mom saying that I needed to pick her up from work because her car broke down, so I wont be able to work on our social studies project. Sry!'
You honestly didn't bother to read anything after the 'won't be able to pick u up tdy' part. What were you supposed to do now? You didn't have that many other friends you could just text and get them to pick you up. It's not like you were unpopular or didn't have many friends, you actually were quite known around school. It would be relatively hard for someone to hear your name and not know who you were. After all you were head of the student council, captain of the debate team and on your way to being valedictorian next year. So needless to say, you were far from being unpopular. Although you always preferred having a small group of really close friends, though you were friends or friendly, with many other people in your grade.
Unfortunately, you weren't quite close enough with any of your other friends to just text them and ask them for a ride out of the blue.
And almost as if being stranded at school couldn't get any worse, you look at your battery percent and see, oh great, 1 percent. You shut your eyes and pinch the bridge of your nose, taking a second to curse at yourself for forgetting to charge it last night while you were sleeping.
But you calm yourself, thinking that it'll be fine. You'll get a ride home someway or another, right?
Well you thought wrong.
Right when you look back at your phone screen, its black. You stare at your phone, jaw dropped, continuously clicking at the power button, but to no avail the screen stays pitch black, leaving you to stare at your reflection wondering, 'how the actual fuck did I manage to be this unlucky.'
You tuck your phone back into your bag and you realize you really only have one way of getting home. Walking.
Wow this is just so amazing because of course this happens the day you get out at 5:30 because of a debate competition. Meaning you had to wear black heals and tights, paired with a tight pencil skirt that only went up to your mid-thigh, and a black blazer with a white undershirt that revealed more of your chest than you wanted it to.
Majority of the outfit was borrowed from Brenda, and you had changed into it at the end of school. Giving the clothes you were wearing the whole day to her because you didn't want to carry them around. The plan was for her to bring the bag of your clothes with her as she came to pick you up after your debate comp and drive you both back to your place to work on your project, where you would swap the clothes back.
Was it a semi overcomplicated plan? Yes. It definitely was, and you were now cursing at yourself once again because of it.
However, right as you come to terms painstakingly long and difficult journey you're going to have ahead of you, someone behind you speaks up.
"Hey (Y/N). What are you still doing here?" A familiar voice says, sending shivers down your spine. You could recognize that voice anywhere and you didn't have to turn around knowing that the person behind you was Minho. Godamint of course it was him, the dude who had been picking on you since kindergarten, the dude who you hated, and also the dude who got surprisingly hot over the summer. He was by far the last person you wanted to run into after your day was already totally trashed.
You turn around slowly so you can face him and as you do, you see him towering over you. He looks like he'd recently stepped out of the shower with his wet and slightly towel dried hair. Minho was on the track team and you were aware that on Friday's and during most days of the week, he would stay at school late because of practice. And based off of his hair, you could assume that he showered in the locker room before heading home. You gave yourself another moment before responding, as you look at the grey sweatpants he's wearing as they lay low around his hips, and at the black compression shirt he had on which complimented his physic quite well by it's ability of defining his muscles.
God what were you thinking? You couldn't help but think he was hot. Even though he had made it his mission to annoy you ever since he laid his eyes on you.
"My debate competition just ended." You say dryly while snapping back into reality, shaking off what you were thinking of moments before.
He checks his watch before responding, "Oh right. But didn't that end like ten minutes ago?"
"Yeah.. it did." You confess, realizing that you had stayed here sulking for ten minutes when you could've just accepted your fate and given yourself a head start on walking home. And maybe then, you wouldn't have had to run into this guy.
"why are you still here then?" He asked in a confused tone that lacked little to no concern.
You glare at him for a second but before you can give your embarrassing answer, he speaks again.
"Hey I'm just wondering, no need to get all mad. I just thought that you would've had a ride by now, princess." He says with a grin forming on his face while he puts both of hands up as if he's surrendering. He's clearly trying to do anything he can to get some sort of reaction out of you, and he knew that by using his little nickname he'd made for you at the start of the year, he'd get just that.
"Well actually if you could just shut up for a second then I would've been able to answer you." You snapped at him before continuing, your voice much softer now out of embarrassment, "I um, I don't actually have a ride. Both my parents are out of town for the weekend and Brenda bailed on me so I'm probably just going to walk."
"Really? Dressed like that?" He questions with a chuckle while teasing you and gesturing to your outfit. However he can't help but blush when he see's you dressed the way that you are. Most of the time you tend to wear sweatshirts and baggy clothing, but seeing you in clothing that complimented you curves- wow- It didn't fail to catch Minho off guard.
"Well, what other choice do I have?" You say as your words come out slightly more desperate then intended.
"I could give you a ride if you want." Minho responded, and Minho shocked himself just as much as he had shocked you by saying this.
You and Minho I have seen each other a lot this year because you both actually shared a decent amount of classes together. Although everybody knew him as being super athletic and really popular, he was a lot smarter than people, (a.k.a, you), gave him credit for. And even since you both had known each other since forever, the sudden offer was still odd. Considering how hostile you were to each other obviously.
"I'm not sure. I bet I can just walk home."
"Seriously? You'd probably give up walking home in those heels a mile in." He said with a chuckle, slightly mocking you but you choose to ignore it.
You roll your eyes at him, "Fine." you say with a huff while you both begin walking into the parking lot. "where's your car?"
"Who said I'd be driving you home in a car?" He responds as he tries to fish something out from his sweatpants' pocket, and when he finally pulled out what he was looking for, you see him hold up a key.
You look at him confused until you keep walking with him and see that you're headed towards a black motorcycle.
"Oh absolutely not." You say as you immediately stop in your tracks and Minho walks over a couple more steps and unlocks it.
"Come on it's just a motorcycle."
"Dude are you serious. Do you know how many people die on those things yearly?"
"No, how many?" he asks while looking at you with a smirk, already able to sense your bluff.
"I don't know- but probably a lot!" You answered because of course you don't actually knowing how many deaths motorcycles cause, but you thought it was safe to assume that they caused many.
"Thank you for the offer, but I think I should just start walking home now if I want to make it before it gets dark out." you say while walking past Minho and his stupid motorcycle. But Minho grabs your wrist before you can walk away any further. Feeling his skin on yours sends a jolt of electricity through your body. You turn around to face him and he keeps his hand on your wrist but his grip softens.
"Do you even know the forecast for today? It's supposed to start storming around six, and I don't think you want to get caught walking home in the rain right?" After he says that you look up at the sky and see that it's already being filled up by dark and angry clouds that could start raining down on you and Minho at any second, then you look back at his motorcycle.
Minho takes in your silence and speaks again, "Look, if you don't make your decision in the next five seconds then I'm leaving with or without you alright? I really can't be driving while it storms so I'll need to drop you off as soon as I can if I want to be able to make it home too."
"Alright fine." You say as you sigh, clearly defeated.
Minho leads you back to his motorcycle and sits down, his bag slung over his shoulders and onto his chest rather than on his back so that you can sit behind him. You tell him how to get to your house and you mutter a silent prayer as you sit down behind him, hoping he doesn't notice how far your skirt is riding up your thighs.
You aren't quite sure where to place your hands so you opt to cross them at your chest. Minho adjusts himself and turns his head slightly so you can here him better, "You know, you might want to hold onto me while I drive."
"I think I'll be fine." you snap at him.
"Suit yourself then." He shrugs as he faces forwards and presses on the gas, much faster than you expected.
You let out a yelp and immediately you wrap your arms around his waist, pulling yourself closer into his back, and you basically cling on to him as if your life depends on it. You dig the side of your head into his back and shut your eyes.
You can already tell he has a wolfish grin spread across his face as he says, "What did I tell you?"
"Yeah, ok whatever I-I get it I should've listened." you blurt out quickly, not trying very hard to disguise the fear in your voice. Minho slows down as he leaves the parking lot of your school and he realizes that he can feel you trembling.
"Hey, hey, its okay. I'll be more careful alright?" He says in a caring tone while he places one of his hands on your knee.
"Just... please go slow Minho." You reply as you hug onto him even tighter.
"I will princess don't worry. I promise I'll get you home safe." He says while thanking god that you can't see how red he's getting. Something about the way you had said his name altered something in his brain chemistry and he would do anything to hear you say it again. And you on the other hand felt that he was being genuine when he said that he'd keep you safe, and it really did sound like he cared. It only took seconds for your face to get as red as a tomato and though you were glad he couldn't see you, you were praying he couldn't feel how hot your cheek was getting on his back.
Your grip on his stayed just as tight and if not tighter for the remainder of the ride home. Although, during every stop you would loosen your grip slightly and Minho would place his hand down by your knee or lower thigh again, rubbing his thumb in circles on your skin which never failed to give you butterflies in your stomach each time he did so.
The silence between the both of you hadn't been awkward at all, if anything, it was quite comforting. Being in each others presence was enough for the both of you. And if anything, the quietness allowed you to think about Minho and how you felt about him now.
Though you didn't really want to admit it, something about the way he was acting towards you now, made you see a very different side of him, and it gave you a reason to like him. But then again this is Minho your talking about. He could have any girl he wanted, practically the entire female population at your school flocked to him. But you are thinking about this as if you don't have boys coming up to you, trying to talk to you at your locker every day. Or like Gally in particular hasn't been begging for you to tutor him since freshman year.
Regardless of the amount of times boys came up to you, you always rejected them, because you had never really felt that way for anyone. Except right now. Because you could practically feel yourself falling harder and harder for Minho every second.
Little did you know that Minho was thinking the exact same way about you, and though he would rather die than admit it to anyone, he's liked you for the longest time.
Do you guys ever remember getting bullied by a guy back in elementary school, and when you told your parents about it they were just like 'oh its just because he has a crush on you!' well that was Minho. Minho was that little boy tormenting you all those years ago because he had the fattest crush on you and just didn't know how to express it. And he never grew out of that habit either. Sure when you guys grew up he would still pick and tease on you but he'd kept getting bolder and bolder, hoping you'd pick up on it one day.
A sudden drop of water on your heads knocked you and Minho out of your thoughts and snapped you back to reality.
"Shit." Minho mumbled under his breath. You finally peaked for head up a bit and opened your eyes to see that he was driving into your neighborhood but it was too late. The light sprinkles of rain soon turned into a downpour after mere seconds. Minho quickly pulled into your drive way and you unbuttoned your blazer and put it over your head to try and keep you at least a little dry until you reached the front door. You got up from your seat and only made it a couple steps forward towards your house until you realized Minho wasn't following you.
"What are you waiting for? Do you want to stay out in the rain and get drenched?" I asked him.
"You don't want me to leave?" He questioned, a bit of hope surged through him, making him think that maybe you didn't hate him as much as he thought.
"Leave? You can't leave now, do you see how hard it's raining? Never mind that, you said that it was going to storm and I can't let you drive home knowing you could just get struck by lightning or some shit." You explain, trying to make it seem as if you didn't care about him, but you definitely did care and you sucked at not making it obvious.
Minho couldn't even respond, he just stared at you, a grin forming at the edge of his lips.
"Can you- stop looking at me like that! Just come inside before I change my mind." You say, turning away and heading straight to the door because you can already feel your cheeks getting red and you don't need to hear Minho's snarky remarks over it.
Minho wouldn't be lying if he said he was a bit flustered too because he hadn't expected you to say what you just said- I mean, inviting him into your house? Minho was absolutely over the fucking moon.
He dashed into the house and got in right after you did, shutting the door behind him. You set down your bag and began taking off your heels before facing Minho. He also dropped his bag and took off his shoes. He looked at you as you cleared your throat.
"Thank you, for um, driving me. Sorry I got kinda freaked out." you say, the redness in your cheeks this time weren't because you were flustered but rather because you were embarrassed. As you looked down, expecting Minho to make fun of you over the way you clung onto him, he takes your chin in his hand and moves it up slightly so that you're now looking at him.
"There's no need to apologize princess."
you just stared at him, too shocked to move because of the contact he'd made with you. Even though you both could've stayed in that position forever, you moved your head to the side, severing the eye contact you and Minho were making, and making him take his hand from your chin.
Immediately Minho began cursing at himself for being so bold. I mean it was amazing enough that you invited him into your house but he totally just ruined it. He just couldn't wait any longer for you, but he got impatient. At least that's what his overthinking ass assumed.
"Minho, I-" you started. You were taken aback by the action but it's not like you didn't like it. In all the years of teasing he had never been that bold or genuine. You couldn't tell if he was still just messing with you for fun.
"No, that was- look I dunno why I did that. I didn't.." He scoffed while looking away.
"Minho look at me." you said while turning your face to look at him again.
He just silently took his hand away from his face and looked at you.
"What's been up with you this year? It's like, you keep teasing me, but then you call me princess and do things like this- It's just- what's your deal? I can't tell if you still hate me, or if you like me or something." You blurt out, way more intensely then you had expected. You couldn't tell if this was just a whole joke or not, like if he really just found pleasure by getting some sort of reaction out of you. Whether that be you getting flustered, or annoyed at him.
"No I don't- I don't hate you at all (Y/N)." He paused while sighing. "This is going to sound stupid but I've liked you since before I can even remember. I just never knew how to tell you, so I just tried to get more bold, and hope that maybe you would catch on, I guess."
You just stared at him with a dumbfounded look on your face, not quite too sure if you were hearing him correctly. But he seemed so sincere, you really wanted to believe he was telling the truth.
"God okay I never should've said anything. I'm sorry, that was all so stupid. I'll leave right when the rain lets up-" Minho barely finished what he was saying as you leaned in and grabbed his shirt, pulling him into you as your lips merged with his.
After a moment of him not reciprocating you pulled away, "I'm sorry I thought-" But before you could say anything else Minho began kissing you again.
You melted into his touch as he slid his arms around your waist and pulled you into him closer. His grip around you was firm as he held onto you as if you could just slip away if he didn't hold on tight enough. You flung your arms around his neck and deepened the kiss between the both of you. It had started out gentle and soft but it only got more and more desperate and passionate as time went on.
"I like you too." You mumbled against his lips between kisses, and at this Minho only became more and more hungry for you. You allowed his tongue to explore every inch of your mouth, and he grew desperate for your taste.
All while holding the kiss he lifted you up by your hips and you wrapped your legs around his waist as he pushed you into a nearby wall in your house.
He kept one of his arms on your waist while the other slid down your shirt and up your back, his cold fingers traced around your spine which only made you arch your back further into him. A slight moan escaped you which only made Minho tighten around his pants. You could feel him harden between your legs, and considering your skirt was far up your thighs by now, and your tights and panties only provided a thin layer of clothing between the both of you. You could feeling yourself throbbing down there as well.
Minho could tell by the way you were fiddling with the hem of his shirt that you were trying to take it off him. Minho pulled away and removed his hands from you and tossed off his shirt, leaving you to stare at his amazing physic.
I mean come on, the guy looked like he had been carved out of stone.
You both took no time at all to crash your lips onto each others again as your hands began to roam all over his chest. He took both of his hands and placed them on your ass in order to keep you propped up on the wall as he continued to pepper your lips with kisses.
He bit against your bottom lip causing you to moan again, but a phones ringtone of the song 'Eye of the Tiger' interrupted you and Minho from continuing.
He murmured a curse to himself and you giggled as he took his phone out of his pocket and answering the call and putting it on speaker. He used one hand to hold his phone as he kept the other on your ass.
You took this as an opportunity to start kissing down Minho's neck, moving down to his collar bone and sucking on it, making sure it would leave a mark. This caused Minho to make a soft groan but since the call was still connecting, the other person wasn't able to hear it.
"Dude where the fuck are you? You were supposed to come over after your practice to help me with our Latin assignment." The very clearly annoyed boy with a British accent questioned. You could tell it was Newt immediately, I mean, not many people have who go to schools in America have British accents.
"I'm sorry I got kind of caught up with something." Minho huffed out. Clearly trying to hide his moans as you continues to leave a trail of kisses and marks along his chest and neck.
"Holy shit you sound like you've just ran a marathon. Wait are you even at home right now?" He asks, this time much more confused then he was before.
"Uh no- I'm not at home right now."
"Then were the fuck are you?"
"At a- friends house."
"Which friends house?" Newt was interrogating Minho as if they were a married couple and Newt caught Minho coming home at 3am smelling of liquor and another women's perfume.
"I'm at (Y/N)'s house.." He said softly, hoping his friend would maybe keep his cool after he said this.
"Hi Newt!" You chime in after leaving several knew hickeys on Minho's neck.
"Jesus Christ I knew it. You've liked her for years! Good job Minho, you finally had the balls to tell her." You hear Newt laugh along with several other people in the background.
"Godamit Newt who else is with you?" Minho says, his face growing redder every second.
"Oh you know, Thomas, Gally, Fry, Alby." He says while trailing off.
Just then you can hear someone grab Newts phone on the other line, "Just letting you know (Y/N) you could do so much better." He says while everyone else with him chuckles, and you can tell it was Gally who said it.
"Oh shut it Gally. Your just mad because she chose me over you. And maybe this way you'll finally get the hint and stop asking her to tutor your dumbass." Minho snaps at him, his protective and jealous tone turning you on way more then you thought.
After Minho says that you can hear everyone on the other line burst out laughing, and even you let out a bit of a laugh afterwards as well.
You can hear Newt take back the phone and say, "Alright we'll leave you to it." as he hangs up the phone.
You look back at Minho as he puts his phone away. "What if I do want to start tutoring Gally?" You say with a smirk as you tilt your head to the side, teasing Minho.
"Oh please. Your mine now princess and I'm not letting Gally, or anyone else for that matter, anywhere near you." He says, and even though he's ginning while he says it, you can tell that he's being completely serious. "Now where were we?"

Not your Typical Confession
Chuuya x Reader
Gonna edit in the morning
Chuuya Nakahara was an enigma to all of those lucky enough to have met him and live to tell the tale.
Stronger than stone, a certain kind of elegance akin to nature itself. Brilliant as blossoms off the trees of spring. Loyalty bleeding throughout every vein. Onto vines of care and protection he let grow to only his closest companions.
One of which was you.
So when you see him kick back his motorcycle stand before walking towards the entrance of the port mafia, you feel intrigued.
A tug on your heart that seems to physically pull you in his direction.
Mouth moving faster than your feet.
“Wait up!”
“Hm?”
He hummed in his usual late night tired tone.
Stars barely visible from the city lights blowing the scenery up in a warm glow.
Rain just having calmed moments before, when he turned you could see the contact his boot made with a little puddle.
Dreary was the night.
And dreary were his eyes.
“Hi! Just me.”
God, was your bright tone infectious.
“I noticed that.”
Something was off. A lack of sarcasm that his words always held. Mean in textbook, but humorous in tone.
This was cold.
“…no need for attitude.”
Suddenly that stupid little puddle was really catching your eye.
“Yeah, well no need to be a nuisance. And we still stand.”
Did his voice always have such a desolate tone? Maybe with his enemies on harder missions, or when Dazai said something that seriously made him upset.
“…”
“I need a drink, so read the room and scram.”
Oh wow, maybe his tone is just this cold. And maybe he did need that drink.
“I- well… umm.”
“Spit it out. You can’t seriously ha-”
Fuck his tone, and fuck that stupid puddle.
“I’m only ever nice to you, but tonight you’re so mean!”
One drop of water falls from a leaf, then two, then…
“I’m always mean.”
“Not to me.”
Drop three.
“Well I’m not always nice. So the point you’re making is? You can’t make me happy, so give up.”
“…what happened?”
You could feel your heartbeat in your fingertips. It was faster than normal, as if you were in some high intensity fight.
“Just work. So forget about it.”
His eyes rolled back, the kind of thing a child would do when they didn’t get what they wanted.
“…no.”
“What? I said for-“
“No! You’re being a total dick to me as of late and for that I think I deserve to at least know why.”
Rarely did you stand up to your friends. Stranger or enemies, sure? But this was out of imagination for your actions.
Had the world stopped spinning? Maybe it had, because time definitely stopped for the both of you.
Air was even still. Not daring to bother your outburst.
“It’s not fair, I hate it. I hate this, I hate us! When we are “friends” one day but the next you act as if you want me gone.”
Not a single part of him reacted. On the outside, at least. Every stab wound he’d ever obtained could not have been this painful combined.
To see you break.
“Maybe I do care too much. Maybe I do overthink your every little action, but there isn’t anything else good for me to focus on.”
His voice had changed, for a quality you could notice. To something soft. One he always used after a tough mission of yours while comforting you. Soothing you with gentle words and petting your hair.
But something new was there. A sense of desperation.
“Am I all you have here?”
“…”
Never had silence felt so haunting. Slowly carving the scene into a sculpture of perfect stillness.
“I have these beautiful thoughts, and a world that fascinates me. Societies I can look in on and be a part of. Ideas that I may only ever understand in the moment, and actions that I make knowing I’ll regret them even after I die. But people? You’re the only human I can actually trust.”
…
“I’m sorry.”
“What?”
“I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry. Fuck, I didn’t mean to swear, wait. Shit- wait! Damnit…”
His hat tipped low so you couldn’t see his eyes.
“…huh?”
“I hate to swear around you.”
His arms crossed over his black suit. Red shirt still visible from underneath his arms and jacket.
“That’s not my confusion.”
“I know. Just… I can’t bring myself to stomach the idea that I’ve been neglecting you.”
He spoke with a hesitation on the words of confession.
“Neglect is a bit much.”
“Not when you’re the only thought I like to have on my mind.”
Brown/blue eyes flickered up to you. He fiddled with the cuffs on his suit sleeves.
“I think too much, but for so many thoughts you’re the only positive one. And I’m sorry for neglecting you.”
“Chuuya…”
“I don’t have anyone else either.”
He was vulnerable. Never had he ever willingly showed that side of himself to a single person he’d ever known. He’d cried, he’d screamed, but never once had he put down his strength and displayed his feelings in such a way.
Ready for whatever punishment you could cause. Taking those now exposed feelings and plucking each heart string until they all wore down. Snapping at a delicate touch.
And this was his reality. That he hated caring for you.
And yet he’d die before he’d stop caring.
Only now was he aware of all this.
“Why?”
“What?”
“Why now? Why now have you been getting further away from me?”
“Because I can’t admit to myself that I need you.”
There it was, the hideous truth. A truth that he only just now came to terms with.
“I need you, because I love you. Well, at least I think I do? You make the world so bright. Every morning is worth while, and work is worth the fight. I have to stay healthy so I can protect you. See that smile every day. And when- when you call me human. It’s all there. All I need, you.”
If Chuuya wasn’t human, then what could explain this intense urge to pull you close and tell you all that’s good within you? What he loved.
So he did just that. Pulled you into a close hug, down into his red work shirt that smells of cologne.
“I love you too, Chuu. More than I ever realized.”
Maybe this wasn’t the perfect confession, but perfect isn’t irrelevant when you’re in his arms.

I have a fandom friend who isn't shy about sending me her fics in the DMs and asking me to read them (not as in beta reading but as in link to AO3).
The thing is, they're really not up my alley because I'm really finnicky about style and story construction and the like: her fics have a lot of telling and not a lot of showing, there's rarely significant tension or change (which might not bother some but it does bother ME personally as a reader), so there's nothing pushing me to read on, and she usually writes detached scenes from the AUs she has in her head, which feels a bit like someone grabbing me by the pussy with no foreplay. I'm not that familiar with the version of the characters/story from the AU so I'm not attached to those storylines the way she is (again, no buildup of tension that makes the emotional scene hit right).
Basically, I really enjoy talking about The Blorbos with her but every time I have to read something of hers it feels like a chore and I either get bored in two paragraphs or my hand starts itching for a red pen. Sometimes I just put it off and hope she forgets but I feel awful and guilty about it because she clearly cares about her fic (it's just too self-indulgent for me to enjoy it from the outside).
She never asks for feedback, so I think it would be incredibly rude to give unsolicited critique or, like, suggest that I could be a beta reader (with how forward she is she'd have asked already if she wanted it).
How do I address this? I want to keep being on friendly terms with her and I'd be open to reading more from her if she fixed some of the consistent issues with her writing (I think the CONCEPTS she entertains are interesting and cool), but also for me the joy of having a hobby is being able to engage with it on my own terms without having "required reading" and what's going on right now ain't it.
(I'm aware that this will make so many people feel really insecure and paranoid about their own writing/readership and I'm sorry for that :/ I'm sure there are people who do enjoy my friend's fic as is, but I can't help my own preferences or attention span)
--
Does she press you for a reaction? If a friend sends me a link, I often thank them for it but don't actually read. Or maybe I skim it or something but don't actually say much to them about it.
I think it's fine to go "I posted a thing!" with the link and expect a "Wow, you finished that so fast!" or "Congrats on finally finishing that longfic!" or whatever. I think it's unwise to expect one's friends to read all of one's work, to like one's work, and to give praise. That way lies disappointment and awkward feelings on both sides.
