hi!! hope i'm not bothering you but i'm just getting into got7, in that video you reblogged of them could you point out who's who if you dont mind?? :O thank you!
it’s no problem at all, pal!!! i’m gonna go from left to right based on where they’re sitting in the video.
first we have park jinyoung, vocalist and dancer, 94 line. his stage name used to be junior but we don’t talk about it. he was originally part of a duo called jjp with jaebum, so they’re very close. he’s a really talented actor!!! and he’s worked on the choreography for a lot of their songs, and he has the sweetest most soothing voice ever. calls himself the “mom” of the group, but he’s also like….. completely ruthless lmao, especially w yugyeom. but he really is a sweetheart, he cares about his members and fans a lot. like, at the fanmeeting i went to he prepared a beautiful speech for us in english because he wanted to talk to us in our country’s language :’)))) what a sweetheart, i love him a lot
next to him is jb (real name im jaebum), leader, vocalist, dancer, visual, 94 line. his image is “chic and sexy” (jackson never fuckin shuts up about that) and he comes across as kinda aloof but he’s actually really Extra. makes embarrassing faces, falls down all the time, yells a lot, loses at pretty much every game got7 ever plays lmao, kind of a mess tbh. but he has a v nice voice and is also a serious composer, has written a lot of got7′s songs.
then we have kim yugyeom, vocalist, main dancer, maknae, 97 line. giant Toll baby w a cute baby voice. the members never let him Live, they’ve pranked this poor kid so many times. but they also love him v v much, hype him up and dote on him a lot. good buds with fellow maknae bambam, and he’s been hanging out with jungkook lately!!! i love friendship!!! he’s definitely got a wild side, loves doing sexy dances when the other members don’t stop him. speaking of dancing!!!! wow, he’s amazing, probably the best dancer in the group. went on hit the stage (*jackson voice* HIT THE STAAAAAAGE) and won, everyone was so proud of him :’)
oh god…. the next one is bambam (real name kunpimook bhuwakul), rapper, 97 line. he’s thai, came to korea (in 2010 i think???) to be a trainee under jyp. started out as the “cute member” but now….. he’s a Demon. a fuckin memelord. once said he “dabs every morning when he wakes up” (although he finally seems to be moving past dabbing, praise the lord). talked about his dick TWICE in a single episode of asc. in a band full of Extra people, he might just be the Most Extra. he’s just a lot to handle. but he’s very funny, and a good rapper. also in charge of girl group dances, which i can appreciate.
then there’s mark tuan, rapper, dancer, visual, 93 line. he’s taiwanese american, born in la. his nickname used to be “flying dimsum” bc he can do flips and stuff (although he’s been doing that less lately, which is good for my anxiety bc it looks rly dangerous). the quietest member of the group, but like….. that’s not saying much given how fuckin Loud most of the members are. king of aegyo, has a really adorable high pitched laugh
next to him is jackson wang, rapper, dancer, 94 line. he was born in hong kong, trained there as a fencer and won a gold medal, but decided that he wanted to be a musician and auditioned for jyp. in case you couldn’t tell from the video he is VERY !!! LOUD !!! like seriously he never learned to Shut The Fuck Up. but that’s okay bc he’s hilarious and has an adorable loud laugh and is actually a ball of sunshine. he’s genuinely such an amazing guy like??? he’s fluent in 4 languages (on top of speaking several other languages he’s not fluent in), he probably could have gone to the olympics if he’d kept training as a fencer, he’s a talented dancer and rapper, he’s very intelligent, and he’s also just so so sweet like :((( if you ever see him interact with fans or friends or especially his mom your heart will just melt. he tries to befriend everyone he meets, and he has a seemingly endless Boyfriend Collection
and finally but most importantly is CHOI YOUNGJAE!!! main vocalist and 96 line!!! my boyfriend!!!! the light of my life!!!! the cutest boy in the entire world!!!! his smile in brighter than the sun and his laugh makes flowers grow. he has the voice of an angel, it’s so rich and powerful and beautiful and i could listen to it for hours :’))) watch his performances on king of masked singer or got7′s cover of this love and prepare to be BLOWN AWAY!!!! but he’s said that he’s not always confident about his voice bc he’s very sensitive to criticism, especially mean comments online :(((( i wanna protect him from everything bad in the world :(((( so he’s always working hard to improve. he’s just the sweetest most talented most humble most hardworking guy ever. he’s coco’s mom, he talks about her all the time, he loves her so much
so yeah!!!! wow that got really long, i hope it wasn’t too much. i’m glad you’re getting into got7, and i hope this helped a bit!

On The Low - Part One
Author: @monstaless
Relationships: fwb!Bambam x Reader, some JB x reader
Warnings: angst, smut, language, my possibly incorrect Korean (which I guess in the context of this fic is okay)
Song - On The Low by Justin Park
Word Count: 3.4k
A/N: I hadn’t intended to release this in two parts, but I also hadn’t intended for it to be this long. I hope you like it!
Part One | Part Two | Part Three
The first time he saw her, she was in the lobby of his building. She was standing by the security guard’s desk and she had stopped Bambam dead in his tracks. She was gorgeous and impeccably dressed: a light purple dress shirt tucked into a knee-length white pencil skirt, and matching purple pumps. As she reached up to brush her hair behind her ear, he noticed that around her wrist she wore a strand of light pink mala beads.
He wondered if she was the wife of someone else in the building, but he hadn’t seen her before. He couldn’t see a ring on her finger either. She must have just moved into the building.
He quickly turned away and pressed the button for the elevator as she thanked the security guard. He half expected her to make her way to the elevator, but as the doors were closing, he saw her walking out the front doors of the lobby.
The first time he spoke to her, she was running to catch the same elevator and he held the door for her. He noted how surprisingly steady she was in her heels as she slipped between the doors to join him.
“Gamsahamnida.” She smiled, bowing slightly to him.
“Munje eopseoyo.” He stood quietly for a moment before turning to her again. “Banggeum isa wassoyo?”
“Uh, I’m sorry, I don’t. Um, I don’t understand,” she replied awkwardly, her face flushing slightly.
“Did you just move in?” he asked with a polite smile. He felt more comfortable speaking English with her anyway.
“Yes, a couple of days ago.” She seemed surprised, but she smiled and appeared to relax a little. “Have you lived here long?”
“A couple of years. I’m not here often though. Work takes me elsewhere.” He shrugged.
“Oh, I understand that. It’s why I’m here after all.” She laughed. “What do you do?”
“Uh, you know, the usual.” At that moment her phone started to ring and she gave him an apologetic look after checking the ID.
“I’m very sorry. It’s a business call.”
“It’s okay.” He was too relieved that he didn’t have to continue to come up with an explanation that wouldn’t give him away. So far, she didn’t seem to have a clue who he was.
“Hai. Y/N desu.”
He recognized it as Japanese immediately, but only understood bits and pieces of her phone exchange and didn’t want to eavesdrop anyway. When the elevator stopped at his floor, he gave her a short bow before exiting.
“It was nice to meet you,” she called after him as the doors closed and he grinned as he made his way to his door.
The second time that they met, she was struggling to remove an armload of sewing supplies from her car in the parking garage. She seemed like she had it under control, but there was no way that she was going to be able to close the hatch or use the elevator without assistance. He’d just returned from a long day at the studio, but he didn’t have anything to carry, and he wasn’t so tired that he couldn’t offer his assistance.
“Would you like some help?” offered BamBam. She looked at him over the supplies that filled her arms and recognition flashed across her face. She smiled at him.
“Hi! Yes, I would love it, honestly.” Though she seemed ashamed to be asking for help.
“What can I carry?”
“Um, if you could take this box, that’d be fantastic,” she laughed, shifting so that he could take the box from her arms. It was heavier than he’d expected and he wondered what was in it, but didn’t want to ask.
“Anything else?”
“Nope, I think that we’re okay.” She shifted the items that she was still holding into a more manageable position before she closed the hatch. “I never introduced myself last time. I’m Y/N L/N, by the way.”
“Kunpimook Bhuwakul, but most people call me Bambam,” he replied.
“Thanks for your help, Bambam. I really didn’t want to have to make two trips.”
“I could tell,” he chuckled as they entered the elevator and she hit the button for her floor. They were both silent as the doors closed. After a moment, he turned to her. “So? Is it safe for me to assume that you work in fashion?”
“Yeah,” she laughed. “I worked for a company in Tokyo for a little while, mostly as a interpreter. It was a way for me to get my foot in the door. They didn’t really want any of my designs though. It wasn’t really in style in Japan, but one of my superiors really liked my work. He got me a job at a company here.”
“How are your designs doing here?”
“Really well. I doubted that my designs would do any better here, but the company liked them. They offered me the chance to start my own line and here I am.”
The elevator stopped and they both stepped off to make their way to her door.
“That’s what all of this is for. I’m trying to get some designs ready to present for next seasons line.”
She unlocked the door and BamBam followed her inside.
“You can just set that down anywhere. Sorry for the mess. I’m still kind of trying to get organized. As I’m sure you can see.”
He set the box down on the entryway table and looked around to find that there were still boxes stacked here and there throughout the living area.
“Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it. Can I offer you something to drink?”
“Ah, no. Thank you though. I need a shower and I don’t want to intrude.” He started for the elevator, but paused in the doorway. He wasn’t sure, but it wouldn’t hurt to try. “Uh, I’m having a party on Saturday, if you’d like to come.”
She looked up at him.
“I’m not much of a partier, but thank you for the offer.” Her response was polite, and he could tell that she was being honest. He decided maybe he should’ve chosen a more accurate word.
“It’s not really a party. It’s honestly more of a gathering. Just some people that I work with. It’d be a great way for you to meet some people. It’ll be pretty chill. I promise we won’t be getting too wild.”
“What time?” she questioned after appearing to consider it for a moment. He hoped that was a good sign.
“Six o’clock. Do you remember what floor I’m on?”
“Nine, right?”
He nodded.
“I’ll consider it.”
“Hey, you owe me one.” He teased.
“Of course.” She laughed.
Bambam hadn’t actually expected her to show up, but there she was standing in the hallway in a white and black sheath dress. She held out a bottle of wine in offering.
“I’m not really sure what the protocol is for parties in Korea,” she said awkwardly. “But in Japan, you never show up empty handed.”
“You didn’t have to bring anything, but thank you. Mark will appreciate it.” He stepped out of the doorway so that she could come into his apartment. “I’ll introduce you to everyone. Follow me.”
“Oh gosh, I feel slightly overdressed,” she said quietly when she saw the other guys.
“Nah, they’re just usually under-dressed,” he assured her with a smile. “Can I offer you something to drink?”
“A water is fine. Thank you.”
He introduced her to everyone as they made their way to the kitchen.
“What’s up with Y/N and Jaebeom?” questioned Jackson later on after she’d gotten comfortable enough to mingle with everyone on her own. “I thought you said that she didn’t speak Korean.”
“No more than the basics,” shrugged Bambam. “But she does speak Japanese. She lived in Japan for a while before.”
He looked over to where she sat, her whole body turned towards Jaebeom even though the seats were side by side. She was smiling brightly as she talked to him. The smile was mirrored on Jaebeom’s face.
“So Jaebeom has somehow hit it off with her in his limited Japanese or his limited English?” questioned Mark, butting into the conversation. “Our Jaebeom? The same Jaebeom who gets embarrassed when talking to any girl that’s not on the staff?”
“Maybe it’s not as limited as we thought,” offered Jackson, shrugging as they continued to watch the exchange. Neither of them seemed to be having difficulty communicating.
“Maybe you should’ve kept her away a while before introducing her to everyone, Bam. You might’ve missed your chance to shoot your shot,” laughed Mark. Bambam couldn’t disagree. He hadn’t really thought about the other guys hitting it off with her. He hadn’t even really had a real conversation with her yet. He was kind of disappointed that she seemed to be getting on so well with Jaebeom already.
She greeted him warmly every time she saw him after the party. Occasionally, she’d offer to bring him food when she had made too much. She’d grown up in a big family and she’d never really become accustomed to making food for just one person.
This time though he invited her over for dinner. He’d been waiting for an excuse to make Thai food and an excuse for her to come over without the other guys around.
To his relief there appeared to be nothing going on between her and Jaebeom. He wasn’t even sure that the two of them had talked since the party. They also hadn’t asked about each other, which he hoped was a good sign that he hadn’t missed his chance yet.
He checked himself in the mirror in the hallway one last time before opening the door for her.
“Hey,” he smiled as he opened the door.
“Hi.” He stepped aside to let her in. “You look very nice today. I love that jacket.”
“Ah, thanks. You look very nice too,” he laughed as he closed the door. “Do you want something to drink?”
“What goes best with Thai food?” She followed him into the kitchen.
“Mmm, probably iced tea or I have beer. Do you like beer?”
"Not really,” she replied meekly. He opened the fridge and leaned down to check it’s contents.
“How about I make Thai iced tea then?”
“That would be great!”
“Wow, you are a great cook. Can I just come here for dinner all the time?” she asked after taking a few bites of her food. He laughed, enjoying the praise. He thrived on praise.
“What do I get in return?”
“My gratitude and praise isn’t enough?” She pouted at him in mock disappointment.
“Babygirl, I get plenty of that already,” he laughed.
The next week he went to her place for dinner. The week after that scheduling had him out of the country for a few days and she offered to take care of his cats, which he accepted. They seemed to be almost as comfortable with her as they were with him and she facetimed him everyday to let him see how they were doing.
When he returned, she came over to visit with him and the other members. She brought them desserts, which Jackson and Jinyoung attempted to decline, but ultimately accepted.
Bambam discovered that she and Jaebeom had kept in contact since the first time they met, but it seemed to be nothing more than friendly conversation. They happened to have a lot of shared interests so it made sense. That didn’t stop him from feeling a tinge of jealousy though.
The other guys had all left one at a time, until it was just her and Bambam. They were sitting on the couch next to each other where they had been most of the evening.
He was doing it before he’d even thought about it, leaning across the sofa to kiss her. He wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was the fear that he was going to lose his chance to Jaebeom and for some reason, he just couldn’t stand the thought of her picking Jaebeom before he’d even had a chance. Maybe it was the slight feeling he had that maybe after all the time they’d been spending together, she might possibly be into him too.
To his surprise, she kissed him back, moving in closer to deepen the kiss. He’d thought that she had a thing for Jaebeom, but here she was. They’d both had a little alcohol and maybe that had something to do with their situation. He didn’t care either way. She tasted sweet, like only the fruity undertones of the wine lingered on her lips.
“Maybe I should stop,” he murmured after pulling away. “We’ve both had a bit to drink.”
“Maybe you should keep going.”
“Okay.” he said quietly. He didn’t really want to stop anyway, even if he knew this wasn’t the best idea. ”Are you sure?”
“Definitely,” she replied and he moved closer. He kissed her again and soon he found himself on top of her, his body settled between her legs, holding his weight with one arm while he used his other hand to bring her face closer. Her fingers were curled into the hair at the back of his head.
He ignored his phone as it started to ring, letting his hand drift down her side, his thumb brushing against the exposed skin just above her jeans. Her hands were tugging his shirt free from his jeans when his phone started to go off again.
“Should you get that?” she panted, pulling away for air. He glanced at it and seeing that it was Yugyeom, he shook his head, pushing away from her only to press ignore.
He was just about to kiss her again when someone started to ring the door bell. He groaned in annoyance.
“Sorry, I should probably get that,” he muttered. He reluctantly pushed himself away from her, helping her back into a sitting position before tucking his shirt back in.
Yugyeom stood outside the door.
“What the hell, man?” questioned Bambam.
“I should really be going, Bambam,” said Y/N, placing her hand gently on his shoulder as she slipped by him. Her face was red and she didn’t bother to look up at Yugyeom as she slipped by him. “I’ll see you later. Bye, Yugyeom.”
Bambam watched her get into the elevator and then turned back to Yugyeom.
“Really?”
“I forgot my wallet,” shrugged Yugyeom.
“How?!”
He moved aside to let Yugyeom into the apartment.
“Hey, don’t tell anyone, okay? I don’t think she wants anyone to know.”
Yugyeom glanced over his shoulder as he picked his wallet up from the end table. “I won’t. I didn’t see anything.”
He was quiet for a moment. “Are you going to date her?”
“I don’t know.” He hadn’t truly thought about it. It had been at the back of his mind,of course, and he couldn’t deny that her living in the same building would make dating her super easy. Now that Yugyeom had planted that idea in his head though, it would be all that he could think about.
The next day, he couldn’t stop thinking about her leaving. Had she left because she was embarrassed? Had she left because she thought she was making a mistake? He kept checking his phone, hoping for an explanation. He couldn’t focus on anything and the other guys seemed to pick up on it.
“You good?” questioned Jackson.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” He shrugged. He couldn’t even bother to make up an excuse.
Later, Yugyeom pulled him aside.
“I’m sorry about last night. I didn’t realize that I would be interrupting something.”
“No, it’s okay. I just don’t really know what’s going on between us,” explained Bambam. “She left last night and hasn’t said a word.”
“Maybe she’s been waiting on you to say something.”
“You’re right. I’ll text her.”
Bambam: I’d like to see you later, if you have time.
Y/N: I’m working late tonight. Maybe tomorrow?
Bambam: I’ll let you know when I’m done working tomorrow.
Y/N: Sounds good. I’ll see you tomorrow then.
The exchange didn’t make him feel any better. It seemed too casual. She seemed apathetic about what had happened between them the day before.
“I’m sorry about the other night,” she started apologizing as soon as he walked through the door.
“It’s okay. I just hope that I didn’t ruin our friendship. I mean, I think we’re friends, right?” He asked, turning to face her as she closed the door behind him.
“Absolutely. It didn’t ruin anything. I was totally into it. I mean, I just got kind of nervous about the other guys finding out and I guess they kind of know now. I just, I’m not really sure that I want something serious right now and I’m not really sure what you want. I should’ve just waited and asked you, but I was really embarrassed.”
He couldn’t deny that he was relieved. He’d thought he’d been the issue. That she’d regretted it because of who she was with.
“No, I understand. I’m totally into you, but you know what my job entails. I don’t think me dating anyone would go over very well. I don’t think I want anything serious either at the moment.” It was a lie, but after hearing her say that she wasn’t sure that she wanted something serious, he was afraid to admit that he did. He just wanted her to stick around. He enjoyed her company and if that meant ‘just friends’ he’d take it.
“I don’t regret what happened the other night.”
“Yeah? Neither do I.”
“Do you think we could try it again? Maybe without an interruption this time?”
That caught him off guard. He cleared his throat. “What?”
“Sorry. Um, unless that’s something you reserve for serious relationships. Shit. I’m sorry. I’ve made things super awkward.”
“No. No, I definitely want to try it again.”
This time she kissed him first, having to stand on the tip of her toes to reach.
“That was way easier last time,” she laughed, pulling away.
“Maybe we can fix that,” he replied, leading her to the couch, where he pulled her into his lap. “Is this better?”
“Let’s find out.” She pressed to her lips to his as she settled into his lap. His hands fell to her waist, pulling her in a little closer. Her hands were moving over the buttons of his shirt, trying to get it off of him as quickly as possible. It slid down his arms easily and he leaned forward so that he could slip out of it completely before his hands found her waist again.
“Definitely better,” he breathed out against her lips when they finally pulled apart to catch their breath. She nodded in agreement before pulling her sweater over her head. He couldn’t help but let his eyes fall to her breasts. He didn’t get to look too long before her lips were back against his.
Her hand slipped between them to palm him through his jeans and he inhaled sharply. It was much needed friction, but not quite enough. He pulled her in close again, his hands on her hips to guide them in a slow grind against his. She shifted in his lap and her bra disappeared from between them, her bare chest pressing against his.
He pulled away to press kisses to her jawline and down to her neck and she let her head fall back. She guided one of his hands up to her breast and he needed no further guidance from her.
“So when are you going to make dinner for me again?” she asked, pushing herself away from him.
“So you’re just using me for food now?” He chuckled.
“Hey, you said that my gratitude and praise wasn’t enough.” She grinned before pulling on her sweater. His eyes roamed over her legs and then flicked up to meet her gaze.
“I guess you’re right.” He pulled up his briefs and jeans as she disappeared, only to return with two glasses of water. “Thanks, babygirl.”
“No problem,” she smiled.
“You can’t stop smiling at me,” he noted. “Was it that good?”
“Don’t get cocky, it’s a turn off,” she warned, but she was still smiling. Her smile was contagious and he couldn’t stop smiling back at her.
“I’ll make you dinner next week,” he offered, pulling his shirt back on.
“Then maybe we can do this again?” He paused, midway through buttoning up his shirt.
“Oh, we are definitely gonna do this again.” He didn’t even try to hide the enthusiasm in his voice. He wasn’t sure exactly what was going on between them, but he was super into whatever it was. “We’ll give my place another try. Hopefully, no one will interrupt this time.”

How You React To Him Crying Because Of Stress
JB
Oh wow you definitely would not expect to see this guy crying, especially in his studio. He seems to have everything together at all times, and he has never shown any signs of cracking before. But he's only human, so when you see him cry you wouldn't want to draw a lot of attention toward him. I think when JB notices that you can see him, he would probably be the type to try and hide his face away. He wouldn't want you to think that you can't depend on him. You would remind him that everyone has their bad days, and no one is expecting him to be perfect all the time.
Mark
Your heart strings would practically break seeing this boy in such distress. Seeing Mark cry would make you want to take all the bad things out of the world forever. He’s such a sweet boy, he doesn't deserve anything hurtful coming his way. At first you would just give him a tight hug, gently stroking his hair. You'd remind him of everything that you love about him. He needs to know just how perfect he is. If the stress was coming from something like his work schedule, you would try to help him find some time off so he has something to look forward to.
Jackson
Jackson is another one who seems to strive in stressful situations, so when you see him break down, it would definitely take you by surprise. You’ve never seen him cry over something serious, sure he cries over movies and cute YouTube videos that he watches. But not anything serious. You decide that the best thing to do would be to take him away from his work for a bit. He needs to clear his head so you suggest that maybe you two should go for a nice walk in the sunshine. Even if Jackson is reluctant, you'd tell him the work will still be here, but hopefully the negativity around it won't be.
Jinyoung
Right, I’m sorry to say this but I think Jinyoung probably goes a bit MIA when he's stressed. He thinks being on his own will give him less distractions and thus more clarity. He’s probably been avoiding your calls for about a week now, so you'd have to go over to the studio to try and find him. You'd be shocked to find him slumped in the studio with his head in his hands. You'd slowly walk over to him and place a hand on his shoulder. “You might not want to talk, and that's okay. But please know that I am always going to be here. You don't need to suffer alone if you don't want to.”
Youngjae
I don't ever want to see any of these boys cry, I really don't. But god damn does Youngjae crying hit harder man. It's kinda relevant for the moment to be honest, Youngjae does not seem to be having a very good time. Maybe he's been sad for a while, and today was the day that he let all of his emotions get the better of him. You kinda knew that this was on the cards for a while, so you did your best to prepare. You made sure to have all of his favourite snacks and drinks ready. You made sure the bedding was clean so he could cocoon if needed. You wanted him to feel safe.
Bambam
It must be tough times if Bambam is crying. He just doesn't strike me as the type to cry a lot, you know? He’s one of those people who would just shrug it off, so when you see him crying, you know it's bad. I think you would be a little bit dumbfounded on what to do. You would definitely rely on Bambam’s cues. If he looks at you like he wants cuddles, heck you are holding him so tight and never letting go. If he looks like he wants some time to himself, you would just make yourself scarce. Maybe get him a drink or something. It would definitely be a learning curve for the both of you.
Yugyeom
So I don't know about you, but remember that video of the older boys playing a prank on Yugyeom and he started crying? Well my heart sank to the bottom of the bloody ocean when I saw that boy cry, and you would be no different. Yugyeom doesn't tend to let negativity affect him so much, but when it does, it hits him hard. No matter where he is, you would wrap your arms around him in an instant. You would not care at all if the other boys were with him, right now Yugyeom is your main priority and you want to make sure he is okay. There's nothing worse than seeing him in distress.

college student! jackson x sugar daddy! mark // sugar daddy x baby socmed au
b a c k g r o u n d i n f o 🍓
jackson is THE popular kid despite him having his own set of financial problems. he lives with a foster family because his parents died in a car accident when he was 11, but still grew up to be a well-mannered, cheerful boy
mature 21 year old who knows his strenghts and weaknesses. very motivated and hard working, but tends to fall for the bad type rather than good influences. is also too nice and sweet to point out other’s mistakes and flaws so he usually goes along with whatever his friends do. has always wanted to move out because as much as he loves his foster family, he knows that they struggle with their own swt of problems as well and feels like a burden now that college fees are piling up
mark is a millionaire, successful bachelor at the fine age of 29. recognised for his success in starting and building his own business at 22, took him only 7 years to reach his current success of a multi-million enterprise in Seoul trading and exporting goods.
is a very mysterious figure to the press because he is extremely private about his life outside of work. lives alone, has no known dating history, only known family is his family in USA ands seems to be completely disinterested in relationships under than a tight-knit group of friends. the press would love to get some dirt on this successful businessman.
jjp are mark’s close friends and a power couple of Korea ( lgbtq+ rs are supported in korea in this au ) and have always wanted him to look for a partner. yugyeom, mark’s other close friend, also wants him to not be so lonely anymore since he’s pushing 30 already.
meanwhile, youngjae + bambam are jackson’s best friends. youngjae’s fam is jackson’s foster fam while the three of them all attend Seoul University tgt. they’re close friends because they all share an interest in music and just enjoy each other’s company. they’re the same age in this au, so they met at the usual freshmen orientation drinking session and bambam almost puked on jackson’s crotch. ever since then, they’ve been inseparable.
youngbam are also well known in the school - youngjae for performing on stage every year at the annual talent show while bambam is known for his cool style and being the vice president of the dance club.
p l o t 🍓
jackbamjae are joking arnd in their gc abt life after college when jackson finally tells them his plan to move out of his foster home after they finish their second year of college. yj ofc objects because he doesn’t see js as a burden, but respects jackson’s decision because js insists.
bambam suggests a sugar daddy website to get money. ofc, both of the other two question him on how he got to know such a site existed. he tells them that ten ( pres of the dance club ) got to know his bf through this site. bam tells them that it isn’t super shady or wtv and the men aren’t so bad at all
js says wtv and gives it a go, so he signs up with the help of bamjae. he has a basketball friendly match, so he rushes off after that
at the same time, mark’s bday is approaching. jjgyeom are planning a surprise for him and hopefully, it’ll include some sort of a date that mark will agree to go on. yugyeom had also come across the sugar daddy website by simply lurking on the nsfw side of the internet and jjp have learnt not to question him too much on what he does in his free time.
he found js’s profile and knowing mark’s type, immediately suggested the idea to jjp. jb, who’s been mark’s longest friend, says that mark might not completely be opposed to it because he knows that mark has been stressed lately and a way to let out that frustration would be good. jy, on the other hand, cautions that mark might not like the idea because mark is the kind of guy to value genuine relationships over meaningless hookups, not to mention paying someone for sex and whatnot. despite that, the three arrive at mark’s place on the night of his bday to surprise him
yg suggests the idea to mark after they’ve all had some dinner and mark obv gets mad at first. he says exactly what jy had said, but calms down after jjgyeom explain that they’ve all been worried about how he’s coping and don’t want him to be alone and stressed anymore. mark sees that his friends have good intentions and decides to give it a go, starting the convo with jackson over the website that night after all his friends have left
after about a week of weird dms and some actually good interactions over the site, jackson is about to give up because he hasn’t found anyone truly interested in talking and not just sex. then, he gets mark’s dm
the two hit it off immediately and they end up texting till 3am. they exchanged socmed accounts before they went to bed as well, and js decides to tell bamjae in the morning abt it.
they obv know who the hell mark tuan is and are freaking out over this. jackson rmbs that mark had told him not to spread this and realises that’s the reason why. he warns bamjae not to tell anyone, even their other close friends. bamjae suggest for him to keep texting and to even meet mark on the weekend.
they meet and it goes well and stuff, them slowly establishing their own sort of relationship. they’re more platonic than sexual most of the time, but they do look for each other when they’re horny and in need of release
one day, the press captures mark waiting for js after school at seoul uni + js getting into his car. they post an article with a caption insinuating that mark has a secret relationship, which he fires down with an instagram post about invading his privacy and posting false rumours. he does this because he’s scared that js might be affected.
js is affected, because he realises that he doesn’t mind being in a genuine relationship with mark at all. he tells bamjae ofc, and they help him to realise that he might have developed feelings for the older man. he freaks out because that isn’t part of the deal of being a sugar baby but he doesn’t want to cut mark off either
it’ll end happily, definitely, but the angst will come right after this and i hope it’ll be good :<

Positive | Six |
| Five | July 2018 (2) | Seven |
The show started with a bang, everything was amazing, just like always. Jaidyn couldn’t contain herself, standing on the seat so she could see better. She danced and sang her little heart out. Enjoy every minute of the show. You took so many pictures and videos of the man your heart yearned for. Making sure you turned your face slightly whenever he would look towards your section, which you felt was far to often for personal comfort.
As the show ended and the arena began to clear, you remained seated for a minute, to fully process your feelings. On the inside you were emotionally broken, JB was so close, yet so far. You were sure, had you found a staff member that you recognized, you would be able to get back stage. Yet, you didn’t bother to look. You wanted nothing more than have JB forget you, to live happily, be that with someone else or not, you just wanted him happy. There was no way he would ever forgive you for you leaving, and if he did, he would never forgive you for hiding a child, his child, from him. You had sealed your fate with him when you jumped on that plane and left a year ago.
“Miss, you need to leave” A security guard said behind you.
“Oh, sorry, we’re leaving” You said facing the security guard before grabbing Jaidyn’s hand and walking towards the exit. You didn’t notice the securtity guard reaching for his radio and murmur something to the person on the other side.
It was already past eleven as you exited the arena. Instead of going straight to the hotel like you should have, the two of you deciding to find a McDonald’s for some nuggets seemed like a logical thing.
[23:41] Owen: You’re fucking nuts for walking around this late with her. Please come back… now…
[23:41] You: Oh shut up. We’re like 4 blocks away. I will call you if the boogie man shows up.
[23:42] Owen: Urgh why do you enjoy worrying me. Please come back.
[23:42] You: Okay.. okay… We will be there soon, keep your pants on.
Jaidyn and you walked around, not finding a McDonald's and settling on a sausage vendor. Walking back to the hotel you couldn’t help but feel like you were being followed. Chalking it up to Owen putting the notion in your head that it was dangerous, you hurried to the hotel, easing your nerves as you walked into the lobby and headed towards the elevators.
JB was sitting with some of the other members backstage still. They normally waited an hour after the performance to pack up and shower before returning to their hotel. He was feeling exhausted from giving it his all tonight. Once or twice he could have sworn he saw you, but with so many fans and lights he wasn’t sure. He just kept looking in the general direction he thought you were in.
“Hyung, did you see her?” BamBam asked.
“No, well I’m not sure. I think maybe?” JB said, looking towards the younger man.
“Guys, look at this…. omg!” Mark yelled from across the room. JB and BamBam rushed to where he was sitting, looking at his twitter page. Right there, on Mark’s sister’s twitter was a tweet from you, a picture of Jaidyn in her GOT7 shirt with a message that read “All ready for the GOT7 Concert”.
“She really came!!!” BamBam screamed with a smile ear to ear.
“Wait, I have a notification from her…. she tweeted me!” Bambam said as he looked at his phone. It was a picture of Jaidyn again, in a BamBam sweater. You had rarely used twitter before, but tonight you had sent out a few tweets. BamBam noticed that he was getting multiple notifications from the picture.
“People are trying to get me to notice the picture… We noticed fam…” He said smiling. JB was looking at the picture of his phone when he heard his own go off. Grabbing it from his pocket and turning it on he clicked the message from his manager.
[23:45] ManagerHyungnim: Marriott Hotel, literally beside the arena.
JB took a sharp inhale, causing Mark to look at him.
“What is it?” Mark asked, concern etched on his face.
“They found her hotel” JB replied, still staring at his phone.
“Are you going to go?” BamBam asked softly.
“I don’t know… What should I do?” JB looked up, his heart was telling him to go, run out right now and go. However, he did have logic, and logic said it was almost midnight.
“Go, you’ll regret it if you don't” Mark said. JB looked at him, his heart beating a mile a minute, then nodded and took off. Google told him the hotel in question was a five minute walk from the venue. He figured if he ran, he could make it there in two. So he ran as fast as he physically could, gasping for air as he entered the lobby and approached the front desk.
“Hello sir, how may I help you this evening” The lady asked.
“My girlfriend is staying here, Y/N Y/L/N, which room is she again?” He asked, hoping they didn’t find him odd and ended up escorting him off the premises. The lady did a quick search on her computer.
“Room 516, elevators are to your left” JB nodded a thanks and quickly walked in the direction she pointed, getting into the elevator and pushing your floor. He felt like his heart was going to explode out of his chest at any given moment. Stepping out onto the fifth floor and turning towards the direction of your room, JB walked cautiously, scared that this may all be a dream and he wasn’t about to see you for the first time in over a year. When your hotel room appeared in front of him his heart skipped a beat. You and Jaidyn were situated on the other side of this heavy wood door. He continued to stare for what seemed like forever at the numbers. Willing his hand to knock, but something kept stopping him. What if you had moved on, what if you didn’t remember him, no wait that’s stupid you don’t forget a three year relationship. His mind was going a mile a minute. That’s when he heard it, Jaidyn’s giggles and a mans voice. A man was in your hotel room with his daughter. Logic told him you were a grown woman, you could do what you want. Emotions told him to lose his temper, so he banged on that door so loud until someone opened it.
Jaidyn was reenacting all the things she had seen at the concert, laughing and having a great time telling Owen.
“Wow, Jai, you had a lot of fun didn’t you. Did you see your Appa, I bet he misses you so much” Owen smiled at her.
“I saw him… but I didn’t get to talk to him” She replied looking down, a little sadness forming on her face.
BANG BANG BANG
“What the fuck…”Owen said looking at Ayla sleeping in her playpen then at the door. You stood up and began moving towards the door.
“Stop” Owen said as he moved around you and headed towards the door. After looking through the peep hole he opened the door wide.
“Who the fuck are you” JB seethed out, looking at the man who had opened the door.
“Nice to meet you to” Owen drawled out, eyeing the man up and down. He wasn’t sure how JB had found you, but here he was.
“I asked who you are?!” JB growled.
“Listen, before you jump to conclusions, no, I’m not sleeping with her. Secondly, how did you even find her here”
“Owen who is it?” You asked from inside the room, shuffling nervously.
“Well….” He answered, hearing you starting to move towards the door. Owen held his breath for the minute as you recognized the man standing before him.
Coming up beside Owen you looked towards the person in front of him. Your face paled, your breath hitched and in that moment you hoped that the ground would swallow you up. Standing in the door was the one man you longed to hold but hoped to never see again.
“JB” It came out as a whisper, barely audible, but JB heard it loud and clear. The way his name tumbled off your lips made his heart soar. It took everything for him to not rush in and embrace you.
“Appa?” Jaidyn had come to look at the door too.
“Appa!!!!!!” she yelled, running full speed towards him. JB crouched down with arms wide open for her to fly into them. The moment her little arms wrapped around his neck he squeezed her tight, he allowed tears to fall from his eyes.
“Hi baby, Appa has missed you. I’ve missed you so much my beautiful baby.” He murmured into her hair. He stood up with her still in his arms, her little head tucked into the crook of his neck. At this moment, everything in the world was right for JB. He had his little girl in his arms after a year. She was taller and heavier, but still his little girl. He was so wrapped up in the moment that he barely registered your face draining of any colour it had left as a baby cried within the room.
“Mommy, Ayla is crying” There, it was addressed. JB looked towards you, confusion and pain written on his face.
“Ayla?” He asked.
The crying became louder, wailing at this point. Owen looked towards you, then back to JB.
“I’ll go” He squeezing your arm before turning and walking into the room.
“You had a baby?” He asked, pain taking over his joy he felt moments ago, staring at the back of the man who just touched you in front of him.
“Yes” You weren’t going to deny the fact, that the beautiful baby existed.
“You’re with the father? Is it Him?” His words were laced with venom, jealousy was taking over slowly, you were supposed to have his baby. You were supposed to marry him.
“She is my daughter. My personal life is not up for discussion. Why are you here? How did you find me?” You asked hardening your feelings. JB put Jaidyn down, knowing what was about to happen. The air was so thick with tension.
“Baby, go inside. Maman and Appa need to talk for a minute.” He kissed her forehead before she ran off into the room. You stepped into the hall and closed the door behind you.
“Does it matter, I’m here now. I want answers” He shifted on his feet glaring at the closed door behind you.
“I don’t have answers.” You glared back at him.
“Why did you leave me?” He looked right into your eyes.
Silence. This only irritated JB more, he was losing control of his emotions.
“Who’s baby is that? How could you have a baby so quickly after you left me?! Did I mean nothing to you?!” He was trying to be quiet, but anger was getting the best of him. He stepped forward to be inches away from your face.
“It’s none of your business.” You calmly stated as you crossed your arms over your chest.
“Why are you shutting me out? Why can’t you answer anything?!” He said, throwing his hand in his hair and gripping it tightly, pacing back and forth.
“I told you I couldn’t do it anymore. I’m sorry.” Averting your eyes, praying he wouldn’t see through you. Your heart breaking and wanting nothing more than to be honest with him.
“Y/N please. Please…..” He was begging. He reached out and grabbed your arms, hoping that the contact would help you remember the love you had for him.
“JB, it’s not up for discussion. Go back to your hotel” Stepping out of his touch. His temper flared at that, you were being cold and rude, and he was not in the right mind set to take it.
“Fine, but I want to take Jaidyn for the night.” He seethed, all previous compassion leaving him.
“Do you think that’s wise. Really?” JB’s anger finally boiled over at your question. “Listen, you took my child. No fucking explanation. You fucking owe me this. I have missed my daughter for a whole year because you’re a selfish fucking bitch. You clearly have no regard for me. Since you hopped onto whoever’s dick you met the moment you came back and got knocked up! So fucking let me have my kid for one night. Seeing as I will probably never see her again since you have no fucking decency to let me be a dad” He glared down at you.
“Fine, what time do you want me to pick her up tomorrow” You glared back at him, accepting his accusation. You knew he loved Jaidyn, you knew he could take care of her. There was no reason to deny him her.
“I have to be at the airport by twelve” He stated.
“Which hotel are you staying at” You gave up the staring contest and looked away, opening the door you found Jaidyn still awake watching tv, while Owen was holding a sleeping Ayla on his chest. JB followed you into the room.
“Baby, want to come sleep over at Appa’s hotel” He asked, glancing towards the sleeping baby.
“YES!!!!!!” She jumped up, grabbing her bag and rushing to him.
“It’s almost one am, you’re letting her go this late?”Owen spoke up, looking at you.
“Listen, I don’t know what relationship you have with Y/N but that is my kid and to hell if you think you have a say in this” JB growled out.
“Look man, calm down.” Owen started shifting, placing the baby on the bed and ready to get up. JB started advancing forward towards him.
“Hey, look.” You stepped in between the men putting your hands on JB’s chest.
“Jaidyn is ready to go. We will pick her up from you tomorrow” You said looking up at him.
“Appa, I’m ready!” Jaidyn grabbed his hand. JB gripped it tight while turning towards the door.
JB arrived back to his own hotel with the little girl sleeping soundly on his shoulder. Within two minutes of picking her up after she complained of being tired, she had fallen asleep. He still never got tired of carrying her. After walking into his hotel room he gently placed her on the bed and heading to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. Midway through brushing there was a knock at the door. Hesitantly he went to open it.
“HYUNG YOU’RE BACK!” Jackson yelled as the other members stood outside his door.
“Shhhhhhh!” JB let out harshly. “Jaidyn is sleeping”
“WHAT!? She is here?! OMG Let me in” Bambam squealed.
“No guys. I just want to go to sleep right now, and she needs to sleep. We will get together for breakfast okay?” JB looked at his members.
“Sure, see you in the morning” Mark said with a smile as he ushered the other members away. JB returned it and shut the door. Finishing his teeth he went and crawled beside his little girl, tucking her into the covers. He couldn’t believe how beautiful she was, how much she had grown. She looked like you, had your eye shape, nose and pouty mouth. He had missed so much and now it was inevitable he may never have the time with her that he truly wanted. Sighing he closed his eyes and fell asleep, exhaustion taking over.
“Come on, lets talk about last night Y/N” Owen was prying. The two of you were sitting at a table in the hotel’s restaurant having breakfast, Ayla happily eating little bits of scrambled eggs.
“I’m fine” Taking a bite of toast and avoiding his eyes.
“You’re not fine”
“Am so.”
“Stop lying to me! Jesus, it’s okay to not be fine. It’s okay to be upset.” He was getting frustrated with you.
“Can you pick Jaidyn up? I don’t want to see him again” You mumbled out, looking towards the baby that was babbling beside you.
“Yes, but you need to promise to talk to me later” You looked down towards your breakfast, losing your appetite. It hurt, everything hurt right now.
“Sure. I’m going to take Ayla upstairs to the room. I will see you later” You grabbed your baby and went back to the room, hoping to nap away this nightmare.
“Appa!!! Appa!!!” Jaidyn bounced around on the bed, waking JB up. JB smiled, he missed the way she used to wake him up.
“Good morning baby, why are you up so early? You had a late night” JB smiled, with one eye barely opened.
“Are the oppas here? Can I see BamBam oppa?” She beamed landing on her knees beside him.
“Ahhhhhh, really. You still like BamBam more than Appa?” Sighing as he pulled out his phone and sent a quick message to the group chat anticipating his members to come running as soon as they read it.
“Are you hungry?”
“Yes!”
“What would you like?”
“Can we have pancakes?” She asked with the biggest doe eyes she could muster up.
“Of course baby” JB chuckled, he was wrapped around her pretty little finger and would do absolutely anything to make his girl happy.
JB’s room had turned into a chaotic and loud hang out once the members had woke up. Each one rushing towards his place to see Jaidyn. Now there was laughter, and music in his room, everyone being extremely happy. In the midst of the chaos someone started banging on the door. Jackson being the closest went to answer it.
“Hello, who are you?” He asked the taller man standing in front of the open door.
“I’m here to pick up Jaidyn, but first I need to speak to Jaebum” Owen said.
“Uncle Owie!” Jaidyn ran into his arms when she saw him.
“Hi baby” He said kissing her forehead. Every other man in the room grew stiff and approached the door, all seemingly wondering who this man was and why was he so close with their Jaidyn.
“Why are you here so early?” JB gritted his teeth upon seeing Owen.
“Look, I want to talk to you….. alone” Owen shifted his gaze to Jaidyn’s head before looking back at JB.
“Fine, you guys watch Jaidyn. I’ll be back shortly” He huffed, exiting the hotel room and following Owen. He wanted answers, and this man was going to give them to him.
“So should we follow them?” Youngjae asked.
“Absolutely…. not.” Jinyoung sighed.
“We will hear about it after. Let him talk it out, lets enjoy our time with Jaidyn” Mark said, returning to the giggling girl who was jumping on the bed.
JB led Owen to a table at Starbucks in his hotel lobby.
“So what do you want?” JB was trying to control his anger.
“Look, I don’t know why you feel the need to get defensive. I am here out of good will” Owen sighed.
“Sure, you seem mighty cozy with my girl–, my ex-girlfriend. Playing fucking dad to my child, sleeping in her hotel room” JB growled out, anger bubbling ever so slightly.
“Okay, you know what. Go fuck yourself. One, I’ve known Y/N a lot longer than you ever have, and secondly I am like her older brother. I love her and her two girls like they’re my own.” JB scoffed, tongue in cheek, simmering in anger.
“However, I know who has raised Jaidyn the past several years. I know you are who she calls Dad, and I think its amazing that you can love her just as much, if not more than me” Owen continued.
“Good, because she is my little girl, and nobody will take her from me again” JB glared towards the man in front of him.
“I don’t think you deserve her though” Owen let out, turning away from the man you were in love with.
“Excuse me” JB scoffed with clenched his fists under the table.
“I don’t think you deserve her” Owen stated again, shrugging his shoulders and looking out the window.
“Who are you to make that decision, I loved Y/N so much, I did everything for her. She left me. She gave up and left me after three fucking years. With nothing more than a text. So how can you say to me I don’t deserve her” JB seethed out through clenched teeth.
“Exactly. Three years. She stood by you for three fucking years, sacrificed everything and anything normal because she loves you. And all of a sudden one day she just fucking leaves? Are you fucking dumb? Why would she leave you, the love of her damn life…. three years just like that?” Owen was getting angry now, clearly the man in front of him wasn’t as smart as you let on he was.
“I don’t know, why don’t you ask her” JB growled.
“Wow, you’re fucking ridiculous.”
“Listen, you’re wasting time I could have with my kid. Leave, come back later” JB stood up from the table, ready to return upstairs.
“Ayla is yours.” Owen said looking into the mans eyes. JB paled instantly, sinking back down into his chair.
“What?”
“The baby, she’s yours. Y/N didn’t want to wreck your career. She didn’t want to cause a scandal and ruin your life. She didn’t mean to get pregnant, but she couldn’t bring herself to get rid of the pregnancy. So she did what she felt was the best for both of you. Ayla is yours.” Owen returned to looking out the window.
“Wha–…” JB lowered his head into his hands, trying to process this information. Before you had left, had you changed? How could he not notice. Granted he had been out of country and very busy when he was back in Seoul. You were moody, sure. Had you looked different? Not really, but you always wore sweaters. Even during sex though you had looked the same.
“It’s not. She didn’t look or seem different.” He mumbled into his hands
“Well she is. And Y/N is going to kill me, but I don’t care. You deserve to know. You deserve to be a father to both of your daughters. And I hope, for the sake of Jaidyn’s heart, you continue to love her just as much as you will love your biological child.” Owen’s rough accusation of not loving his daughter didn’t go unnoticed by JB.
“How dare you, how dare you fucking think that my daughter would mean anything less to me because you’re claiming I have a biological child.” JB snapped his head towards Owen. Anger flashing in his eyes.
“Look man, those girls are my life. Obviously I am going to protect them” Owen shrugged.
“What the hell kind of man has she said I am for you to speak so lowly of me” JB had finally had enough. It was bad enough that this dude just walked in and delivered a bomb shell, but to also accuse him of not loving his kid, not cool.
“She hasn't” Owen said looking him in the eye again.
“What?”
“She has never once spoke bad about you, ever. She has cried herself to sleep many nights scared that if anyone found out she had your baby she would wreck your career, and your members. She has put her everything into being a single mom, never once being angry at you for not showing up. She has only spoke high praises of you, even going as far as taking all the blame when Jaidyn was upset for coming back to Canada. She hasn’t dated anyone, yeah, I know you’re dying to know that too. She has only talked about how she loves you, and you deserve better than her. So, before you get all pissed off at her. Think of it from her perspective. Think about what she fucking sacrificed for you. She still loves you, you know.” Owen was growing angry at this point too, but he knew that he could only do so much for you. This was all for you. To help you gain the happiness you deserve, whether the man in front of him stepped up or not, this needed to be done for you.
“Here” Owen threw a piece of paper on the table.
“What is it?” JB asked, eyeing the paper suspiciously.
“Your chance to start over”
[AUTHOR’S NOTE: I hope this has cleared up some misunderstandings about Owen. He really is an amazing dude]

magnetic || jinyoung pt. 5 (final)
A/N: Wow she finally writes !!! Once again, apologies for the long delay, but after getting through a lot of work and life things, I’ve finally finished magnetic. Thank you to everyone who’s been reading all my stories, it warms my heart. I have a bit more time nowadays so I’ll be posting more frequently. I’ve got two requests sitting in my inbox right now, so be on the lookout for those stories. In the meantime, please send me your requests!
Hope you enjoy the finale of magnetic!
To say that Jaebum was overprotective of you was an understatement.
Yes, he knew you could take care yourself, and yes, he had been the one to reassure your parents that you would be okay in America by yourself, but when it came to dating, it was as if you’d gained a third parent. Which really meant that when it came to dating...actually, that was about it. It never came to dating. Because you dating was never going to happen, at least not on Jaebum’s watch.
So when you were 17 and the annual school dance rolled around, it was no surprise that you would be going to be dateless once again.
“But O-ppa! It’s my last school dance!”
“And...?” Jaebum rebuffed, not paying any mind to your annoyed expression as he tightened up his shoe laces. He had let you tag along to an open dance session he and the other members decided to hold by themselves one Saturday since they felt they needed more practice for the upcoming debut. When Jaebum called for a five-minute water break, you took it upon yourself to resume your complaining from before practice started.
“It’s the last school dance and so the boys are going to be even wilder and that’s why you’re not allowed to have a date,” Jaebum reasoned simply without batting an eyelash.
“But all my friends got asked out and are bringing dates. I’ll be the only one going stag!” You groaned, uncharacteristically stomping your foot for emphasis. You were rarely ever bratty, but Jaebum was being completely unreasonable! You deserved to have fun the way you wanted to, especially because it was your last go. Unfortunately, your parents listened to everything Jaebum said, so if he said you shouldn’t be dating, even if it’s just going to the school dance with some friend who happened to be a guy, it was basically law.
Jaebum finished tying the other shoelace before looking at you quizzically. “So if your friends all jumped off a bridge, would you jump too?” You let out an annoyed screech, earning an amused smirk from your brother.
“Jackson! Don’t you think Oppa is being dumb right now?”
Jackson took a swig from his water bottle before joining you two in the middle of the dance floor. “I think she’s right. It is just one dance, and it’s not like she’s going off and eloping with the first guy that will ask her...” He was about to continue the thought when he noticed Jaebum glaring daggers at him, silently challenging him to choose his next words wisely. “But, then again! High school boys, you know, they’re still so immature and they only want one thing! Plus there’s nothing wrong with going to a dance alone. It means you won’t be tied down to your date and you can hang out with whoever you want. Isn’t that right, JB?” Jackson gave a nervous laugh, slowly backing away from the conversation to avoid any impending confrontation with the leader.
You sighed, looking around the room for another (more assertive) opinion. “Mark?”
“Uh...” The older boy looked up from his phone. He had heard bits and pieces of your conversation and was really hoping he wouldn’t get roped into it. With the way Jaebum was now looking at him menacingly, Mark decided it was best not to answer at all. “What? Oh, I think I’m getting a call, I need to take this. Hello?” Before you could protest, he had walked out of the studio to answer the imaginary phone call.
“O-ppaaa...” You whined. “Are you really going to do this to me? You’re going to let me go to my last school dance EVER dateless? Everyone’s going to laugh at me and I’ll be graduating from high school known as the girl who could never get a date. Is that what you want? You want your sister to live as an embarrassment for the rest of high school? How am I supposed to live like that?” You knew you were being annoyingly overdramatic, but you were desperate.
“I’ll tell you what,” Jaebum began after taking a moment to ponder on your argument. “You can take a date, but it has to be one of us.”
You grimaced. “Eww Oppa! Going with you to the dance is even worse than going alone.”
“Then have one of the other members take you.”
Jaebum’s words had caught the attention of three boys who surrounded you in a matter of seconds.
“Noona, take me!” Bambam slung an arm around your shoulders and waggled his eyebrows at you. “I clean up really nice! Just imagine me in a suit. We’ll be the best looking couple at the dance, all of your classmates will be jealous!”
Yugyeom wrenched Bambam off of you before you could reply and quickly took over his spot. “No Noona, take me. It’s a dance, not a fashion show. Watch this!” He unlatched himself from you to show you a quick eight-count that he had been working on. Yugyeom finished with a pose, perching his chin on top his hand and giving you a smirk. “You’re a good dancer, I’m the best dancer out of the seven of us,” This earned a collective groan from everyone in the room. “Doesn’t it just make sense for us to go together? I can show you a great time!”
“Why would she want to take children to her last school dance?” Youngjae scoffed next to you. “She would obviously rather go with someone who could be her classmate.” He turned to face you, taking one of your hands in his and placing his other gently on your waist. You couldn’t help but giggle as he led you in a mini-waltz. “Just imagine us dancing like this, all eyes on us as I sing along to the song playing in your ear...it’ll be a night you won’t forget!” Youngjae mused as he twirled you around, earning more laughter from you.
“So what do you say Noona, who are you going with?”
“Uh...”
Jaebum sighed at the younger members’ antics, getting up from his seated position and putting his hands on his hips to reassume authority in the conversation. The three boys cowered away from you, anticipating their leader’s reprimand.
“On second thought, if you really want to go with a date, I’d rather you go with...” Jaebum’s eyes traveled around the room before landing on a certain boy who had been playing on his phone and keeping to himself throughout the whole conversation. “Jinyoung, come here.”
Jinyoung tensed up when he heard his name. He thought that if he was quiet enough, everyone would forget he was in the room and he wouldn’t be prompted to join the stupid conversation. He slowly got up from the bench in the corner of the room and made his way to where everyone had gathered.
“...What’s up?” He asked with a sigh, already knowing what was coming.
“Oppa, why...” You blinked a few times at the boy now standing across from you. Had you been that obvious? You always tried to make it seem like you were more than happy to get Jaebum from practice or tag along with him just to be nice, but had he actually picked up on your ulterior motives? And if he did, why wasn’t he freaking out about you crushing over his best friend? Or was this just his sick and twisted way of setting you two up together? You cleared your throat in an attempt at nonchalance. “W-why Jinyoung? And not the others?”
Jinyoung raised his eyebrows, gazing at Jaebum unamused. “You want me to take her to her dance?”
“Mark’s too awkward, Jackson would enjoy himself too much, and these three goofs over here would make fools of themselves and ruin our reputation before we even debut,” Jaebum explained without skipping a beat. He ignored the offended chorus of “hey!”s from the younger boys as he continued. “Jinyoung’s a polite gentleman, who I believe many girls consider very handsome, and you know he’s good at dancing. I also trust that he wouldn’t pull anything stupid at the dance. Is he not the perfect date?”
“Oppa...”
“I’m not going with her to that dance,” Jinyoung stated flatly. “You can’t force me to do that.” You resisted the urge to complain in response even though you also agreed you shouldn’t take Jinyoung. He was acting like you were the plague. You knew you were behaving like a little punk at that moment, but spending an evening with you wouldn’t kill the guy.
“Ah, may I remind you that you still owe me for covering for your ass when you were running late to vocals last week?” Jaebum scratched his head in mock contemplation. “Should I really tell the vocal coach that you were late because you were coming back from your little date?”
“Date?” You repeated, hoping no one picked up on the slight twitch in your voice.
Jinyoung rolled his eyes. “I already told you it wasn’t a date. I was hanging out with an old friend who just happened to be a girl that I realized had a thing for me halfway through hanging out, and I was only running late because she kept trying to get me to hang out with her even longer and she was being really persistent.”
"I don’t know,” Jaebum deliberated in a sing-song voice. “It may have been a one-sided date, but it was still a date, and I don’t think the managers would be happy to hear you were out on one.”
“Are you seriously blackmailing me right now?”
“I’ll throw in 500 won from the early birthday present I got from my parents.”
“Wait hold on,” you interjected. “If the managers would get mad about any of you going out on a date, wouldn’t they get mad if Jinyoung went with me to the dance?”
Jaebum shook his head incredulously. “Of course not! You’re family. And Jinyoung’s basically part of our family with all the time he spends over at our house!”
“Family. Right...” Jinyoung deadpanned. “So, you said 500 won?”
——
It had been a few days since the late night incident in the kitchen and you still hadn’t spoken to Jinyoung.
Scratch that—you two did talk, but only during the challenges.
You would join the group in the morning with only seconds to spare before you all had to prepare for filming. Before Jinyoung could even try to say hi to you, you were already engaging yourself in conversation with one of the other boys, the silent treatment you were giving Jinyoung going unnoticed to them. When it was time for you to all get into your pairs, you immediately got friendlier with Jinyoung as the cameras focused on you. You two participated cooperatively on whatever challenge was happening, but as soon as filming was over, you were gone from his side once again.
If Jinyoung had any qualms on whether you were still upset with him with the way you were being nonchalant during the challenges, that quickly answered his question.
It was now the night of the last concert of the tour. The challenges had ended the day before and because there was now a close tie between three top teams (Bambam and Youngjae were sorely convinced that you had it out for them ever since they sabotaged you in the maze game,) it was up to the fans to vote online who they thought should win. With the winners being announced the next day, all that was left was filming for the actual concert.
An hour before the concert and everyone was in the dressing rooms getting ready. Bambam and Mark were getting their make up done. Youngjae was pulled aside to another room for an interview. You were sitting around with Jaebum and Yugyeom since they were both the first ones ready. Jinyoung and Jackson were picking out their outfits and changing behind a nearby clothing rack.
“You know if you keep staring like that, you’ll eventually burn a hole into her head,” Jackson joked, nudging Jinyoung to bring the boy out of his one-sided staring contest with you.
“I’m not staring, I’m just...” Jinyoung randomly grabbed two hangers from the rack. “...trying to decide which one of these I should wear. This one or this one?”
Jackson smirked but decided to play along. “That one,” he suggested, pointing to an all-black ensemble.
“Cool, thanks,” Jinyoung nodded, putting the other outfit back on the rack. But Jackson wasn’t done with him just yet.
“So are you going to tell me why things are even weirder between you two?”
“Me and who?”
Jackson rolled his eyes and nudged his head in your direction. You were laughing at something Yugyeom said, Jaebum looking between the both of you with an unamused expression. “She might think she’s being sly but I can tell she’s giving you the silent treatment.”
“You talk to her more than I do,” Jinyoung deadpanned. “so why ask a question you already know the answer to?”
“Because I want to hear you say it out loud,” Jackson teased, remembering the identical conversation he had with you earlier that week. “You know, you two are a lot more similar than you think.”
Jinyoung stared back at him stoically. “Good to know.”
Jackson chuckled before switching to a serious expression. “C’mon dude, what’s really going on with you? I hate seeing friends fight. You can tell me what’s up. Wang Gae Park Gae remember?”
Jinyoung raised his eyebrows in disbelief. “I thought you said that was over when I beat you in the maze game.”
“But that was then and this is now!”
Jinyoung sighed as Jackson beamed back at him expectantly. Though he knew Jackson could be loud and, well, Jackson, Jinyoung knew it was better to open up to him. Jackson could be annoyingly persistent but it always came from a good place. Plus maybe Jackson would tell him what you’ve been telling him and he’d be able to go about this whole situation with you?
“Fine.” Jinyoung squatted, tugging Jackson down to his level so that they were completely hidden behind the clothing rack. “But keep it down. I don’t want the others, especially Jaebum, hearing and turning it into a whole thing.”
Jackson smiled playfully, pretending to zip his lips to let the younger boy know he was all ears.
You glanced over to where Jinyoung and Jackson were picking out their outfits as Jaebum lectured Yugyeom about his provocative dancing next to you. You felt your heartbeat quicken as you noticed the two of them speaking closely, as if they were afraid of anyone hearing them, then ducking down behind the clothing rack. They had to be talking about you. You tried to focus on the two boys bickering next to you, but in the back of your head, you were freaking out. Was Jackson going to spill everything you ranted about Jinyoung to Jinyoung? He never told anyone the secrets you trusted him with. Or if he did, everyone else was really good at pretending that they didn’t know anything.
You were already very embarrassed by your outburst with Jinyoung. You only wanted to understand why his actions contradicted his words and hopefully come to some mature truce that would develop into a real friendship. You didn’t mean to completely lash out and burst into tears right in front of him. You were already wary of how to act around Jinyoung before, now you were just absolutely clueless. Which is why you were only talking to him when you had to and pretending like everything was fine when you did. You could not bring yourself to have another confrontation with Jinyoung so it was best to avoid him at all costs.
Was this how he usually was with you?
“Noona, what do you think?”
“Huh?” Yugyeom was waving his hand in front of your face to catch your attention. You hadn’t noticed they stopped arguing. “Sorry, what were you saying?”
“Since it’s the last concert of the tour, we need to finish with something big,” Jaebum explained. “I say we end with ‘Before the Full Moon Rises.’”
“And I say that makes the end of the concert really sad, so our encore should be an energizer, like ‘Go Higher,’” Yugyeom reasoned. “You’re the unbiased opinion here Noona, so you should decide.”
“It’s totally up to you, but remember, Oppa is always right.”
You rolled your eyes at your brother. “You mean your last concert is in less than an hour and you don’t know what you’re doing for the encore yet?”
“We just want to have fun with it,” Jaebum stated. “Besides, if worse comes to worst, we’ll just rock-paper-scissors the encore onstage. The fans always love that.”
“Sure they do,” you quipped back sarcastically. “But I agree with Yugyeom, the encore should be an energizer.”
“Ha! Told you Hyung—”
“But not ‘Go Higher.’” You giggled as you watched Yugyeom’s metaphorical bubble burst.
“Then which song should we do?”
You batted your eyelashes knowingly at Jaebum. “You already know what my favorite song is.”
The two boys scoffed. “We haven’t done that song in so long,” Jaebum complained. “Yugyeom barely memorizes the lyrics to our current songs, how is he going to remember the words to that one?”
“Hey!”
You both ignored the maknae’s pouting. “But I really want to hear it again,” you said earnestly. “Just one last time, please!”
“That can be arranged.”
Jinyoung and Jackson appeared before you three, all dressed and ready to go. You couldn’t help but steal a glimpse at Jinyoung—as if he couldn’t get even more handsome, he seemed to prove you wrong—but you immediately averted your gaze when you noticed him looking back at you. Jaebum was about to question what Jinyoung meant when a staff member came into the room.
“Gather around everyone! Let’s do a quick huddle so we can make this last show the best one!”
——
The concert had gone off without a hitch. Their international concerts were a lot different than the ones you were used to back home. Bigger venue. Bigger stage. Bigger audience. More lights. More speeches in English. More translations of speeches that weren’t in English. More American pop culture references. A different kind of vibe from the audience. You’ve gone to their concerts before and loved each and every one of them, but this was like watching them for the first time all over again.
You enjoyed yourself, singing and dancing along to all the songs in the wings of the stage. Watching the boys perform never ceased to amaze you as you remembered their humble beginnings. They had come such a long way in chasing their dreams and truly deserved all the love they received from fans on tour.
“We unfortunately are nearing the end of our last show of this tour,” Jackson announced on stage, immediately met back with boos and groans to not leave from the audience. The other boys looked on at the fans with a mix of adoration and sympathy as Jackson continued. “We just want to thank you all so much for coming out here and seeing us tonight. You know, we wouldn’t have made it this far if it weren’t for you guys constantly supporting the music and I think I speak for all of the boys when I say we love you. Thank you all again so much!”
“Now we want to finish this concert on a happy note,” Mark added quickly to lighten up the mood. “So we have a special surprise for you all! Our next and final song is one we haven’t done in a while, so we’ve got a special guest here to help us remember the words...”
Before you could put two and two together, you felt a staff member give you a gentle nudge. They responded to your confused expression by whispering for you to go out on stage. As your legs mindlessly walked you out, you were met with deafening cheers and screams from the audience. A staff member ran onto the stage to place a stool in front of the boys.
“My little sister!” Jaebum exclaimed and pointed to you proudly. The fans reacted with a chorus of “aww”s and started chanting your name.
You were so caught in a daze with everything happening around you that you had no time to comprehend the meaning of Jinyoung smiling softly at you.
You had no time to protest Jinyoung lightly taking your hand and leading you like a gentleman to sit on the stool.
“Once again, thank you all so much for partying with us tonight. We’re GOT7, this is ‘Magnetic,’ goodnight!”
As Jinyoung left your side with a wink, that’s when you heard the first few notes of the song you longed to hear live again and you felt something begin to well up inside of you. With the whirlwind of emotions you were going through in such a short amount of time, all you could do at the moment was grin like an idiot as Jackson wrapped his arm around your shoulders and started rapping to you.
I’m not joking around, ever since I first got to know you I’m not the same person I used to be Whatever I’m doing, I don’t really know what I’m doing Whatever anyone says, I’m just blankly walking
You swayed to the beat and giggled as Jackson’s movements matched the lyrics. He was soon pushed away by Mark who playfully fought the younger boy for your attention as his part began.
You appear in my head every day Whatever I’m thinking about, you star in it Then with a zoned out face, I start talking to myself
Mark gave you a knowing look as his part ended. You looked at him suspiciously until you noticed Jinyoung kneeling down beside you and taking your hand once again. When you felt the heat transfer from his hand to yours, the moment seemed to go by in slow motion.
Why are you so pretty? When I look at you, when you’re smiling with your eyes It feels like I’ll faint
The audience’s screams now sounded distant, as if they were miles away. Everything around you—the other boys, the fans, the stage itself—seemed to disappear. You couldn’t bring yourself to look away from Jinyoung as he sang to you, the only thing tethering you to this earth being his hand enclosing yours. His voice was so sweet and almost pleading. During his part, he was giving you a look you couldn’t quite place.
You were brought back up to speed as Jinyoung left your side and was replaced by Youngjae, the performance continuing on without incident. You relished in the rest of the boys’ antics as they sang to you, Jaebum jokingly shooing them away when they were getting too friendly with you. At one point of the song, they had gotten into a formation, leaving a space for you in the middle so you could dance along with them.
Despite how much fun you were having and the warm feeling rolling through your stomach from the song, you couldn’t shake off the way Jinyoung had looked at you. The way he kept looking at you when your gaze met his. As you danced and sang along with the boys, you were silently deciphering Jinyoung’s expression.
It finally occurred to you as the song, and the concert, was coming to an end. Jinyoung reappeared by your side and looked you square in the eyes as he sang along to the last line.
He was looking at you like you were the only girl in the room.
He was looking at you with love.
It’s you, girl.
——
It was a little past midnight. Jinyoung had just finished taking a shower, a dull yet comforting ache set through his muscles. As he settled into bed, he reflected back on the tour. He couldn’t believe it had finally ended, culminating into tonight’s performance. Though he was excited to see his family and get some much-needed rest, he knew he was going to miss traveling and seeing the fans from different countries.
A few minutes turned into half an hour, and Jinyoung couldn’t get himself to fall asleep despite his exhaustion. Sitting up and putting on some slippers, Jinyoung shuffled out of his room. Ice cream sounded like a good idea, and he already couldn’t sleep, so what harm could some sugar do to his sleep? Usually he’d bother one of the other members to come along with him, but they had all dispersed after a small team celebration for finishing the tour. He, Jaebum, and Mark had decided to hit the sack while the others wanted to hit the clubs. Jinyoung stopped in front of your door before he completely passed by your room. He contemplated knocking and asking if you’d like to come, but eventually decided against it. Perhaps you were sleeping too.
After heading to the ice cream shop in the lobby and getting the one treat to satisfy his craving, Jinyoung was about to head back to the suite when he heard someone call his name. You were sitting on a love seat near the shop, alone and cup of ice cream in hand. Judging by your pajamas, it seemed you couldn’t sleep either.
Jinyoung made his way over to you. “Did you have a craving too?”
“Something like that,” you replied, glancing down at your cup.
Not knowing what else to say after a moment of silence, Jinyoung gave a little wave before beginning to walk away. “Well, good night.”
“Is that all you’re going to say to me?” Though there was a hint of attitude in your voice, you were looking at him confused yet expectantly. “Jinyoung, what are we doing? What were you doing?”
Jinyoung stared back at you pensively for a moment before hesitantly taking a seat next to you. “You know I’m not the best at talking about myself. I can be a little slow with these things.”
“I’ve got time. I can wait here all night.”
Jinyoung sighed after realizing you'd seriously sit in silence for hours until he said something. There you were, always the persistent one. He tried to focus on his ice cream. Every time he glanced up at your big eyes, the words he’d built the courage up to say would die on his lips.
“Do you remember when I took you to your school dance?” Jinyoung suddenly asked after another moment of silence.
“Huh?” Now you weren’t expecting him to say that. You sneered a bit, deciding to play along. At least he was finally opening up, if even only a little. “Do I remember? You say it as if it happened years and years ago.”
“It’s been, what, four or five years? With everything that’s happened to us in between, it feels like a lifetime ago.”
You nodded in agreement. “I guess you’re right, but what about it? Oppa pretty much forced you to go and you were going with me, so you had an awful time.”
Jinyoung grimaced at your words, vaguely remembering how the past him so vocally opposed taking you to your dance as if it would kill him, but he continued. “I did have an awful time, but it wasn’t necessarily because of you.”
You scoffed a little. “Jinyoung, we can be honest with each other. I know you found me annoying. Still do...” You trailed off quietly.
“I don’t!” Jinyoung protested earnestly, nearly dropping the ice cream from his cone. “Truly! Okay maybe I wasn’t too fond of you in the beginning, you were always following us around and being pesky. You spit water at me when you first met me!”
You attempted to keep stern and hold back your laughter at his uncharacteristic outburst, but your face said otherwise. “It’s not my fault, you told a really funny joke.”
Your slight break in resolve caused Jinyoung to smile back at you, but he quickly looked away again, remembering the repercussions of looking at you for too long. His face became serious once again. “Anyways...since then and throughout the training the days, I guess I just saw you as—”
“Your friend’s annoying little sister who had a thing for you.”
“Yes,” he confirmed regretfully. “But somewhere along the way, I just-you kind of...” His eyes darted around as if searching the room for the right words to say next. “...You know this is kind of dumb—”
“Please keep going,” you encouraged softly, almost begging him. Jinyoung forced himself to look at you, pursing his lips before continuing.
“Somewhere along the way, you started looking different. And you seemed different. Suddenly whenever you were around, I started feeling more uncomfortable than annoyed by you, and I didn’t know what to make of it until Jaebum was blackmailing me to go to the dance with you.”
All you could do was stare back at Jinyoung, unable to even react to his words as you were slowly processing. This was all news to you. You made him uncomfortable? You always thought it was just the other way around.
“Then Jaebum started talking about how he trusted me the most out of all the boys to take you to the dance because I was basically family and you know how protective Jaebum is of you, he basically threatens any guy who just looks at his little sister for more than five seconds—so you can see that just being your date was kind of a stressful thing for me...”
“Jinyoung,”
“...A-and you know our career was just about to take off and you had just gotten into the university of your dreams halfway across the world so it would have been really unfair to you if I even tried anything, also really dangerous with management, you already know that, and so I thought it would be better for me to just forget about it and avoid you as much as possible but seeing you in person this week, it was just too much for me and I didn’t know how to handle it so I guess that’s why I came off as cold and—”
“Jinyoung.” You cut him off firmly. “What exactly are you talking about right now?”
“Oh, I, uh—”
“D-do you like me? Or...?”
You’d said it. Those words had actually left your mouth. You could have punched him in the gut and Jinyoung would have reacted all the same, the air and words knocked right out of him. Jinyoung had confidently performed for thousands of people all around the world, but sitting next to you at that moment, he had never felt more unsure of himself.
To his surprise, you were looking at him with pure curiosity rather than scrutiny, and that was enough for him to keep going.
“That night you saw me talking with Mark-hyung...you had it all wrong...” He paused hesitantly but you nodded encouragingly for him to continue. He took a deep breath, willing himself to exude confidence as he exhaled. “You know what actually drives me crazy? How you seem to appear in my head every day and there’s nothing I can do about it. Believe me, I’ve tried,” he mused almost regretfully. “How talented you are—that cookie was amazing by the way,—and how good of a dancer you are, how kind you are, h-how pretty you are...”
“Wait I’m sorry, could you repeat that last part? You got quiet at the end.”
Jinyoung gave you an deadpanned look. You looked back at him innocently, but you were clearly enjoying this. He bit back a smile at your amusement. “Did you know that when you smile, your eyes do too? They turn into these little crescents.” He traced small semi-circles over his eyes.
“You mean like this?” You beamed at him, your eyes almost disappearing as your smile grew.
“Yes, like that.” Jinyoung groaned. “Cut it out, it’s distracting. That’s why it’s hard putting up with you. There’s those things that you do and you’re not even trying.”
“Jinyoung...” Your smile faded as you stared back at the boy in awe. You had never seen Jinyoung look so shy and vulnerable before. He wasn’t joking at all.
“The truth is I don’t hate you. Far from it actually. I hate me because I’m supposed to hate you but I could never,” Jinyoung sighed, gazing at you softly. “You deserve to be loved openly. I felt guilty about not being able to, so I thought it would be easier to try finding faults in you, reasons to dislike you, but there was never anything wrong with you.”
“You’ve never outright said anything rude to me before,” you realized out loud. “You just kind of avoided me like the plague.”
“I hated being cold to you. I hated seeing you plaster a smile on your face when I brushed you off.” Jinyoung gave you an apologetic look. “But I figured you were okay. If I wasn’t making you happy, at least the other boys were.”
“What do you mean?”
"You know, like how you’re always joking around with Bambam or hanging out with Jackson. You seem happy with them.”
“Yes, that’s typically what friends do,” you replied sarcastically with an incredulous expression.
“I saw you heading down with Jackson a few nights ago,” Jinyoung mentioned offhandedly, trying to seem nonchalant. “You two were all close and hugging, I just kind of assumed something was going on there—”
“Jinyoung, are you jealous?”
“No! I just, uh—” He quickly went back to finishing his ice cream, buying time to put together a response.
“I’ll have you know that what you were seeing was him comforting me after I told him about you!” You said accusingly. “I had heard you telling Mark how hard it was putting up with me and then the next day, you acted like we were the best of friends! So yeah, that was going to make me confused and upset. Luckily Jackson was there and nice enough to let me talk to him about how I felt. That’s what you were seeing.”
“Oh.” What else could Jinyoung say? He felt like a—
“Fool,” you muttered under your breath, rolling your eyes. “You know for someone smart enough to be trusted by Oppa, you’re kind of stupid. And you’ve got ice cream all over your face.” You grabbed some napkins from your pocket and wiped around his mouth without a thought.
“Thanks,” Jinyoung nearly whispered, unable to make eye contact with you once again. He felt a warmth creeping up his neck.
“So...you still haven’t answered my question,” you spoke up, realizing he wasn’t going to say anything else.
“Question?”
“I asked if you liked me.”
“Do you really need to ask?” Jinyoung groaned as you nodded, a small smile inching its way onto your lips. He sighed. “Mark-hyung did tell me to be upfront with you.”
“And Jackson?”
“What about about him?”
“I noticed you two talking before the concert and you guys would look over at me,” you said nonchalantly as you took a bite of ice cream. “You two weren’t exactly the best at being inconspicuous. So what did he tell you?”
“He was the one who came up with the idea of the encore,” Jinyoung muttered with his head down. “He said that since I’m not good at talking about my feelings, everyone could help me sing them to you instead.”
“I’d still like to hear you say it out loud,” you urged softly with a melodic giggle.
How could Jinyoung say no to his favorite song?
“Okay, so I do tell you how I feel,” Jinyoung supposes. “And then what? After how awful I’ve been to you all these years, it would be unfair for you to just accept me wholeheartedly.”
You gave him a funny look, eyebrow raised challengingly. “No, it would actually be unfair for you to tell me how you really feel after years of thinking you hated me, and then for you to not do anything about it. I’m not accepting you wholeheartedly. I’m accepting you as punishment for, as you said, how awful you’ve been all these years,” you chided with a teasing smile. “Here, I’ll even go first. I like you, Jinyoung. Always have, but you already knew that. Now...” You looked at him expectantly with slight head nod, silently telling him it was his turn.
Jinyoung sighed before slowly getting up from the seat. He held his hand out to you without a word and you took it questioningly, hesitantly standing up to meet his gaze. He took a deep breath and uttered your name as he exhaled, as if saying it lifted a great weight off of his shoulders. He gently took both of your hands in his.
Looking you square in the eyes, Jinyoung spoke up. “I...I lik—”
Before he could finish his confession, you had gotten up on your tip-toes and lightly brushed your lips against his. They were gone almost as instantly as they came, but the ghost of your kiss lingered on his lips. You giggled once again as you watched Jinyoung’s fingers graze over his lips. His eyes widened at you in awe, a slight blush creeping over his cheeks.
“You just-all of a sudden—”
“Actually, you don’t need to tell me, I already know,” you joked, beaming at Jinyoung once again. You almost felt sorry for interrupting him, you had never seen him look so flustered before you.
But with your eyes shining like that, how could he get upset?
Jinyoung chuckled and smiled down at you as he lightly reached out to tuck some hair behind your ear. Now it was your turn to blush profusely.
“Good, because, like I said, I’m kind of slow in saying these things and I might need some time.”
As the two of you just stood there smiling like idiots for who knows how long, you both knew you’d have all the time in the world.
——
“You were right, red does suit me!”
Jinyoung stood from his seat and smiled as you approached him, twirling around so you could give him a better look at your outfit.
“I’m glad I chose well. How are the shoes?”
“Just right,” you replied happily, glancing down at your wedges. He walked around the table to pull out your seat. “Oh, you don’t have to—”
“I want to,” Jinyoung completed. He gently placed a hand on the small of your back to usher you into your seat before settling back into his.
“Thank you. And do you know what suits you, Jinyoung?”
“What’s that?”
“Winning,” you answered mischievously, motioning to two boys dressed in white button-ups and black pants walking over to your table.
“Hyung, the fans only voted for you because you were partnered with Noona,” Bambam complained as he poured water from a pitcher into both of your glasses.
“Yeah, if I was with Noona, you’d be serving me today instead,” Yugyeom added ruefully, placing silverware on your table.
“You and Mark should have tried harder,” Jinyoung teased as he downed his water. “Refill please, slave.”
Bambam muttered obscenities under his breath as he begrudgingly complied before turning to you. “You look especially pretty today, Noona.”
You giggled at his sweetness despite his misfortune. “Aww, thanks Bam.”
“Yeah Noona, has anyone ever told you that color looks good on you?” Yugyeom asks.
“She knows,” Jinyoung nearly growled, shooting the younger boys a dirty look. “Don’t you need to be in the kitchen right now? You’re here to serve us, not talk.”
Bambam and Yugyeom mock-bowed before leaving the table. “Let’s make sure to spit in Hyung’s food.”
“What was that?”
“Nothing!”
You and Jinyoung looked at each other and laughed, shaking your heads at the boys’ antics. When the staff said that the losers would have to serve as the winners’ slaves for a day and that the winners could make them do whatever they wanted, you didn’t know you’d be able to get the boys to basically set up your first (unofficial) date with Jinyoung. In front of a bunch of cameras and never explicitly stated that it was a date, but you were going to consider it your first date.
Jinyoung gazed at you admiringly, completely mesmerized as your skin glowed beneath the sunset. He considered this the first date too.
“A pretty rose for the pretty lady?” Mark had come up to the table with a basket of roses. He knelt by your side and offered you one.
“Oh you all flatter me too much,” you cheerfully accepted, instinctually smelling the rose. “Thank you.”
“How about a bottle of wine for the lovely couple?” Jackson appeared by Mark’s side, chilled bottle of red wine in hand. You and Jinyoung gave him a threatening look as Mark got up and nudged him.
“Cameras,” Mark whispered to Jackson, covering the mic on his collar.
Jackson laughed nervously. “Did I say lovely couple? Haha I meant winning couple. Wi-winning pair, I mean, which someone might use to refer to a couple, which means a group of two people in this case, not like a couple couple—”
Mark elbowed Jackson in the gut again. “We’re going to go check on your meals, but they should be out shortly. In the meantime, please enjoy the view and let Youngjae know if you have any requests,” he explains courteously, motioning to the boy over at the grand piano in the corner of the rooftop. Youngjae smiled at the both of you as his fingers gracefully keyed a mellow tune, setting the mood for the evening. With a short bow and knowing smirk, Mark left you two alone again, pulling Jackson along with him (but not without the younger boy waggling his eyebrows knowingly at you as he walked away.)
“Out of the seven billion people in the world, I was put into a group of seven with them,” Jinyoung joked as he opened the bottle of wine and started pouring you a glass.
“Hey! You’re just as goofy as them,” you playfully chided, clinking your glass with his. “You’re just a teensy bit better at hiding it.” As you took a sip, you noticed him staring at you curiously. “What?”
He gave you a blissful grin. “Nothing, just wish I could capture this moment.”
“Oh! We should definitely take a picture!” You brought out your phone and switched it to the front camera. You were about to turn around in your seat so you could capture the both of you when Jinyoung got up and crouched by your side. “Why so close?”
“The sun is shining this way and I guess I was just attracted to you,” Jinyoung stated, a playful glint in his eye. “One might say that you’re so magne—”
“Don’t even finish that thought,” you groaned at the lame attempt at a joke. “Cheesiness doesn’t suit you Jinyoung. Now smile!” Jinyoung placed his face next to yours and as you snapped a few pictures.
“Perfect!” You proclaimed, swiping through the photos.
“Yeah, you are.”
You turned to look at him, his face a mere inches away from yours so he could whisper to you. Jinyoung silently gazed at you just as he did at the concert and the rest of the world seemed to melt away once again. Just the two of you. Youngjae’s melody faintly played in the background as Jinyoung grinned at you. Forgetting about the cameras, your face subconsciously moved closer to his. “Jinyoung...”
Just as you two were about to cause an international broadcasting incident—
“Dinner’s ready!” Jaebum arrived at your table with a cart of food and pulled Jinyoung up. “Sir, please take a seat so you can eat comfortably.” Jinyoung, in his shocked state, let the leader pull him back around the table and firmly plant him back in his seat.
“Oppa...”
“I trust you will enjoy tonight’s special,” Jaebum stated grandly as he uncovered the dishes. “We have a couple of dishes here I think you’ll like. We’ll start off with the steak, or as I have named it on the menu, ‘you better not make a mis-steak.’” Jaebum scowled at Jinyoung as he placed the dishes in front of you. Your eyes darted back and forth between the two boys, praying in your head that you weren’t about to be a murder witness at that moment.
Jinyoung simply smiled at the leader, unfazed by his subliminal threat. “You can trust me, I’ll enjoy the meal.”
Jaebum silently glared at Jinyoung for a moment before sighing and giving him a resigned smile. “I know I can. Please eat, I hope it was worth the wait.” Jaebum gave you a wink and gently tousled your hair before walking away.
As the two of you dug in and you went into a story about a time you almost failed your microeconomics class, the words Jaebum head left him with lingered in Jinyoung’s head. You were definitely worth the wait. Despite the cautionary voices in the back of his head ordering him to keep away from you, he realized you were always the end to his decision.
It’s you, girl.

Like Oh 2.0 - Concert Day and Pool Party
Previous Chapter: Halfway Around the World Word Count: 2,818 Summary: Serena and Melanie attend GOT7′s Fly in the US tour and get invited to Mark’s private pool party. Should be fun.
Like Oh 2.0 masterlist
honestly, i wasn’t sure if i should have written this or not, but then decided to as it was part of that year. honestly have no idea what really went on, but i tweaked it enough for my own story. anyways... this really happened to be in running into the table while doing the hi touch with the boys lol so anyways, this chapter also gotten shortened from what it was previously and happy with the results. but um, yeah happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
It was concert fan-meeting day for day two and the sisters were excited, but were still apprehensive about surprising the idols during hi-touch. It was because Melanie had found last minute tickets for P2s as she wanted to be closer. The tickets the boys had given them were given to their sister-in-laws to enjoy their first ever K-Pop Concert while seated instead. Anyways, after confirming their spots in the lines outside of The Novo the quartet went to eat. After they got done eating the quartet took a picture for memory before the fan-meeting and would take another one after. They returned to their respective spots and waited.
The lines started moving as one of the staff began to direct them inside the building and the sisters made their way up and hopes that their sister-in-laws would be fine on their own. Once they were atop the building and close to getting inside Serena looked over the railing in hopes of seeing the other two women, but couldn't spot them so easily. "You should've asked one of them to be in pit with you." "Yeah, right. You're my buddy remember." ." Melanie reminded her as she also looked over the railing to the people below. "I know. Anyways, I wonder how the boys are with the kids though."
"Nicholas texted in the group chat that Ethan had ran into Cameron's balls when they were playing baseball." Melanie informed Serena who laughed upon hearing it. "Really? I haven't checked my phone yet." "Yeah. That's what happens when you let those four babysit." Serena nodded in agreement. Again they waited for the line to move and it slowly started moving forward with everyone going through security which took forever because of this one guy that just had to check every damn little pocket. Serena followed her sister as Melanie spoke loud enough for her sister to hear her. "Do you think we should be on the left side or right side. Because I heard that Mark's usually on the right and JB stays in the center." "You do you. I'm gonna end up at the back, anyways." "Hey, you can't leave me."
"Watch me." Melanie tsked as the duo stood side by side one another in the center, but a bit towards the right side of the stage if you were looking at it. "I'm still surprised about them giving us tickets." Melanie said as Serena took a picture of the screen with their image on them. "Me too. You think they'll be surprised during hi tough?" "Probably." "Too bad you didn't get to see Papa Tuan." "It's okay, but I heard that Mark's friends were rowdy yesterday." "Really? Why?" "Someone mentioned that they drank before coming." "Really?" "Yeah, several fans posted it online and others have been saying the same thing that I've read."
"Wow. Hopefully it's all good today." "Me, too." A moment later the music came on playing Fly and the fans went crazy like always. They sang the verses, but when the rap came out, they went quiet and Serena just found it funny while she mumbled the rap parts to herself and rolled her eyes when the fans sang loud again when the second verse came out. A few more songs played before the lights dimmed and everyone knew it was finally starting. It opened with a dance sequence which everyone thought was GOT7, but were backup dancers as seven other figures appeared alongside the four. They did two more songs before introucing themselves.
An hour later the fan-meeting flew on by. Melanie was in the middle of the pit with fans pushed up against her and Serena had drifted near the back. "Sorry, Lani." She had chuckled upon noticing it as her sister finally joined her when it ended and the MC announced they were about to do the group photo opportunity first and then hi touch. "That was rude. I told you to stand beside me." Melanie glared as Serena smiled. "The fans started pushing. It's annoying." "True." the MC told them to start lining up so that they could get the perks underway while everyone else that didn't have a wristband for either the photo opportunity or hi touch had to leave the building and that no one could take any photos either while it was going on.
They received a text message from Vidia that she and Savannah would be at Fatburger by the time the duo got done. Melanie responded back with an 'okay' and that they would see them there afterwards. While the sisters were waiting they once again grew anxious in doing the hi touch with the idols now that they were friends because before they were just strangers. Serena looked at Melanie. "You go first." "Why?" "Because you've always gone first and I go second since we've been doing this." "Oh, right." The line moved slowly as the staff started to announce people in groups of ten for the photo op part as some fans were eager and others confused.
Soon enough it was hi touch time and the sisters looked at one another anxiously as they got closer. They noticed that the boys looked tired, but were still happy to be there. Youngjae was reported to have gotten sick when they arrived in Texas and he still seemed out of it tonight. "Poor Youngjae." Serena commented as Melanie nodded. "Yeah, but luckily this is the last day." "I know right." Serena spotted how Jinyoung was dressed and couldn't help but comment, "Jinyoung looks so boyfriend material." "I know right. I'm so glad he's first. He looks so good sitting there atop of the table." "True." The line began moving again as Melanie and Serena held out their right hand to make a connection with the idols as they walk by.
For Melanie it was a blur as it went by way too fast as she high-five all the members. She wasn't sure if she had said "thank you" in her head or out loud. She couldn't even remember if she even looked her bias, Mark, in the eye as she found Jaebeom a bit distracting due to him being weird while swaying his hand back and forth. Melanie did noticed Jinyoung had given her the biggest smile upon seeing her while Jackson who was the last one had shot her the friendliest smile and knowing look ever. As for Serena, she said "thank you" in four languages, smiled the biggest at Jinyoung, gave her bias, Jaebeom, a weird look, but Mark had caught her attention the most as he was waiting for his moment.
Serena shot the idol an awkward smile before moving down the line. She gave Jackson a high-five and too distracted with his teasing look she had run into the table near them, and just passed it off while moving on forward to where Melanie was laughing at her. Serena was too embarrassed to turn around to see if any of the boys had notice it. "You're so dumb." "Jackson distracted me." "Sure. Anyways, the two are at Starbucks and were waiting for us to go to Fatburger." "Alright, but when did GOT7's hand become so smooth and soft?" "Dunno, but two seconds is too short to get anything." "True. Luckily we were the first part of the line and they didn't have to rush us." "Yeah, but you're man is weird." "Yeah, but yours didn't give me time to check out JB."
"I just went to be hoenst." "I thought you would have stood there longer with him." "It is what it is." "At least we saw them over the summer." "True." The sisters made their way to Starbucks that was only a minute away, met up with Savannah and Vidia, ordered their drinks, and walked to Fatburger where they would wait for one of the boys to come pick them up to go home after getting something to eat. When they arrived back home it was a complete mess and the males were relieved to have them home. Vidia and Savannah gathered up their kids to put them to sleep with their husbands following suit leaving James and Nicholas to clean up the mess while begging the other two to help, which they all ended up doing before retiring for the night.
~~~~~~~
The next day around ten in the morning Melanie and Serena found themselves in front of Mark's home upon the invite from BamBam about a private pool party with family and friends. "I dunno, Mel." Serena said in a doubtful tone. "No one's going to know us besides GOT7." "I know, Rere, but BamBam kept blowing up my phone to come see them because we didn't come see them yesterday." Melanie explained. "Let's just say hi." "You already rung the doorbell so of course we have to say hi." Serena said as the door opened revealing Mark's older sister, Tammy. "Hello. How may I help you?" Serena looked over at Melanie to talk.
"Hi." Melanie greeted shyly. "We know it's a private pool party, but we're friends with the boys and BamBam invited us over." "Oh. Well, yeah, it's a private thing for family and friends. But-" Serena interrupted Tammy with an awkward smile. "No it's understandable. Sorry for the intrusion. We'll just message the boys later. Sorry once again. Thanks and have a nice day." Serena glanced at her sister and spoke in Lao in a quiet tone. "Yeah, this is like way too awkward." Melanie eyed Serena before facing Tammy again with a genuine smile and switched to English. "Yeah, thank you. Sorry about the intrusion."
Before Tammy could say something a shirtless BamBam appeared. "Melanie. Serena. Hey, you made it!" He greeted to them happily as Tammy cast a glance in his direction before looking over at the two females. "These two mentioned that you invited them." Tammy said with a curious gaze. "Oh yeah, I did." BamBam grinned as he looked over at the sisters. "I hope you don't mind. They live in Seoul, too." Tammy cast them a friendly smile while opening the door further. "No, it's fine. As long as you're okay with it. Come inside." Melanie smiled as Serena still felt unsure about it all as the duo followed the two inside the house with BamBam leading them to the backyard while Tammy stayed inside doing something in the kitchen.
When the trio reached the backyard BamBam announced their presence in a loud voice while Melanie felt it was unnecessary and Serena wanted to escape because Mark's friends were giving the duo weird looks. "Noona!" A shirtless Yugyeom exclaimed excitedly as he clumsily made his way towards the sisters. "Are you okay?" Serena asked in Korean as he nodded. "I'm just happy that the both you are here." He pulled the two females into a very snugly hug. "You're being weird, Yugyeom." Melanie stated with a laugh as Yugyeom pouted. "I'm very happy to see you." He slurred and the sisters wondered if the younger male had drank something.
"Let me get you a drink." Yugyeom led them towards the coolers with BamBam running off somewhere while Serena tried to protest. "It's okay Yugyeom. We're just wanted to say hi." The trio passed by a lot of Mark's friends who shot them looks, but still greeted one another. Papa Tuan noticed the two females when they drew near. "Hello. I'm Raymond, but-" Melanie interrupted him with an eager face. "Papa Tuan." Papa Tuan chuckled. "Yes, that's me. And you are?" "I'm Melanie." "I'm Serena." The pair greeted back as Yugyeom returned while handing them a can of soda. "Thanks." "You're welcome."
A shirtless Mark appeared with BamBam in tow. "Hey, guys. Thanks for coming over." He smiled at the sisters as his eyes seemed to twinkle upon seeing Serena, but she brushed it off as she instead thought about her sister probably enjoying the eye candy before them. "Yeah, of course." Serena feigned a smile as Melanie grinned wider, but seeing the shirtless Mark wasn't as exciting as she thought it would be now that she saw it in person. "I finally got the chance to see your home." "Do you want a tour?" "Yeah!" "No." Melanie agreed while Serena declined as she shot her sister a look as Melanie wriggled her eyebrows playfully. "Well, I'm just gonna go and-" Serena backed away as she talked, but didn't noticed BamBam's mischievous look as she suddenly felt herself being pushed in to the pool.
Serena was unprepared as she tried to reach out for BamBam, but missed and fell backward in to the water. She emerged a few seconds later while moving towards the edge as everyone was laughing at the incident. "You okay?" Melanie asked as Serena nodded while lifting herself out of the pool and standing up with an annoyed look. "Peachy." She muttered. "Super peachy." Luckily Serena was wearing a bathing suit underneath as the two were supposed to meet the others at the beach this morning, but took a little detour due to Melanie.
Serena took off her wet shirt and swim trunks surprising everybody, but her sister. "You do know that the boys have all of the towels, right?" "Damn, I thought you brought one." "I only brought the sunscreen they forgot." "Shit." Serena squeezed out the excess water from her clothing while everyone was checking out the tattoos on her body now that she was only in a two piece swimsuit. "How many tattoos do you have?" Both Yugyeom and BamBam asked as Melanie answered for Serena instead knowing how Serena would respond.
"She has four in total." Melanie then maneuvered her sister around to show off the tattoos on Serena's upper back, lower left stomach, upper right side ribcage, and her upper right thigh like she was on display. "Wow, you've never mentioned those." Mark remarked as Serena turned to face him. "Because you never asked if I had any." Mark rolled his eyes, but was curious about one of them. "Is that one missing a piece or a part of another one?" "Oh, yeah. My friend and I got them like a best friend tattoo sort of thing. She has 'and beyond' while I have this one."
Yugyeom returned shortly after with a towel in hand for Serena to use. "Thanks, Yugi." "Welcome, noona." Yugyeom smiled at her with that eye-smiled of his. "Do you need clothes or anything?" Mark asked a second later. "It's fine." Serena dismissed his offer. "We were gonna go to Hermosa Beach with the others later." "So where are the other four?" Melanie asked while looking around for the others. "Jackson's inside with my mom. The other three are back at the hotel." Mark explained as Melanie frowned a bit disappointed. "Aww, how come?"
"They weren't in the mood. Also Youngjae's still feeling unwell." BamBam answered. "Aww, that sucks." Serena said while securely wrapping the towel around her. "Poor baby." She caught Mark's curious gaze which gave her a funny feeling and she diverted her attention elsewhere towards her sister. "Hey, let's go. The boys must be wondering why we're not at the beach by now." Melanie laughed at the thought. "Oh, true." She looked at the others. "Well, we gotta get going." "So soon?" The younger males pouted. "Yeah. Tell the others we said hi."
"It was nice meeting you." The girls said to Mark's dad as he smiled at the duo. "It was finally great to meet you in person, Papa Tuan." "It was nice meeting the both of you, too." Papa Tuan smiled. "Alright, later." Serena dismissed and before she or Melanie could rush off Jackson finally appeared with items for Papa Tuan to grill. "Here you go, uncle." Jackson spoke in Chinese before spotting the sisters with a surprise look that turned into one of happiness. "Hohoho, hello ladies." He greeted them while pulling them in for an unexpected hug. "No one told me you guys were gonna be here." He glared at his group members before softening upon returning to the sisters, especially towards Serena. "Went for a swim I see, but are you okay, Serena?" "Um, yeah. Why?"
"Because yesterday during the hi touch you ran into the table." He repeated with a worried expression. "Are you okay?" "Oh, yeah. I'm totally fine." Serena dismissed with an embarrassed laugh. "I'm just clumsy." "No she wasn't, Jackson." Melanie disagreed with a playful look. "You just made her flustered." "Oh really?" Jackson leaned closer with that playful look of his. "Did I? Hmm?" Serena pushed him away while answering with a straight face. "No. Anyways, let's go, Lani." "Yeah, yeah, Lina, I know. Bye everyone." She waved around as she and her sister made their way back inside the house also waving goodbye to the others and out the door with Mark accompanying them out.
WHAT IF - Got7 members were cursed and became girls for one day
Version française
(Stupid) Plot : Once upon a time there was anti witch. One day she send them a letter saying “Because I wish you could understand what it is to be a woman before singing shi*** stuff like Girls Girls Girls, be prepared to turn into girls for one whole day. Good luck.”. And the day after, all got7 members were turned into girls.
Note : When I say girl I mean, physically. They’re still theirselves on the inside.
Words : 1140
While Mark had woken up without realizing it, Bambam instantly felt the difference
Immediately he touched his boobs
but then realized he doesn’t really have some cause he’s still skinny as fuck
and as soon as he got up, he tried his clothes
just to realize they still fit him perfectly
Because indeed, the difference wasn’t that big
Witch is not the case of Yugyeom... poor boy
He might have big breasts, his oversized sweaters made him feel like a flag
and turned him into a clumsy mess
this guy even tried to dance, but felt terrible because he doesn’t have a bra
and god knows it hurts
so he stopped
And when Bambam arrived (on high heels, of course, cause he’s sassy and bc shoe lifts are overrated when you’re a girl) they started to do shit tgt,
comparing theirselves and screaming w/ high pitched voices (help)
The noise had attracted evil Jinyoung
who wanted them to shut up
But he got instantly whistle at by Jackson.
“Nice ass!” he said by raising his eyebrows
Jinyoung smiled against his will because wang gae park gae for ever ykwim
Jackson would be a really sexy girl tbh
Like a curvy fit girl
and everybody would know that fact because
he would have shared it on ig
in a story, w/ a bikini and a wicked smiley,
tagged “too cool to be a woman guys! Am I hot?”
And everybody would agree, of course
Everybody except Yugyeom,
because while Bambam started to polish his nails like he already did as a man
the maknae started to feel pain in his lower abdomen
and soon came out of the bathroom panicked
because he peed blood
“You didn’t peed blood, you have your period” answered Mark, absolutely neutral
Jinyoung would have laugh so hard
and then be (gently) hit by Yugyeom
“That’s not funny it hurts like hell!”
And when a web site (because they had to search on internet to be sure) mentioned he had to go to the convenience store to buy sanitary pads
Yugyeom blushed
So Jinyoung accepted to go w/ him
And Jackson too because it’s so funny to be a girl
“I got accosted three times on my way here, be careful guys, men are dogs.” said Mark before they leave
An awkward silent had then invaded the room before Bambam spoke.
“Hmm... Usually we’re men, do you remember?”
“Honestly, when I look at you I don’t see any difference.”
Awkwardness then vanished w/ laughs, they left
But on their way to the store nothing happened even if they clearly understood why Mark had to face that situation
In fact Mark was really fabulous as a girl,
even dressed w/ oversized men clothes
When they arrived at the convenience store Jackson bet he was able to get the checkout boy phone number, and leave
to start flirting with him in an awkward provocative way
Meanwhile Yugyeom and Jinyoung had difficulties to decide on what type of pads they had to buy
Then Jinyoung saw a guy behind them,
he was clearly glaring at Yugyeom ass
so mode ‘mummy Jinyoung’ now activated, he yelled at him, with a terrifying expression
“Hey ! What are you looking at you little...”
And the guy, scared to the bones, left without a word
while Yugyeom couldn’t help but reddened
“Mark was right. I didn’t know men could be that horrible...” he concluded w/ a sigh before
Jackson came back, a phone number in his hand
“I got a number from a guy !” he exclaimed when they came back
“I guess he gave it to you because you intimidated him w/ your muscles...” said Bambam with a laugh
“It’s cool to have muscles, even when you’re a girl you know.”
But then the room became silent, every new comer paralyzed in amazement,
their eyes stucked on Youngjae sat on the sofa
“Damn Youngjae” said Jackson while Yugyeom only breathed a “wow”
Indeed Youngjae was stunning, looking even more beaming as a girl than usual
His face fitting perfectly to be a girl, and a really cute one
“What?!” He abruptly asked, not girly anymore
“Nothing you’re just... wow!”
“Yeah.” said Bambam. “Hyung, honestly, I think I would have flirt w/ you if I was a boy” he stupidly laugh.
“I think you better called him ‘unnie’ now” laugh Mark while Yugyeom escaped to the bathrooms
After a while everything was calm again
Bambam had brought up the idea of sleeping with a man to check the difference
after Yugyeom expressed with his unbearable voice how it’s horrible to have periods.
They started to make a list on who’s the sexiest, the prettiest and the cutest member
then planned to go out to have a drink as girls
before Youngjae asked where’s JB
“He locked himself up in his room since the morning. He said he had work to do”
But everybody knew it was fake
Jaebum was just dealing with losing his virility, alone
like he couldn’t even go to the studio to do music cause his voice wasn’t okay
“I’ll stay there” he has asked when Jinyoung and Youngjae came to know if he was okay and if he wanted to go out with the band
“I have an idea to hurry up” suddenly said Mark “Bambam, just come here and disrespect the hermit!"
So after the fake maknae enjoyed being a little shit for a minute JB exited his room
“I knew he was hot! Bam you owe me 10!” exclaimed Mark.
And he was right, Jaebum was hot. Blasé, but hot.
“Okay I’m out” he said turning around to go back to his room
But Jackson stopped him, and soon they we’re all out, having a drink together
But they forgot they were girls
and they didn’t expected to not holding their drinks as good as before
so soon every of them was drunk
They started to approximately sing their songs to check if they have a better future as a girls band
And then the waiter accosted JB to say he was cute
So Jaebum died from shame,
hiding himself in his sweater
and disappearing under the table
Bambam even took a picture
Then started the drunken debate ‘Is it cool to be a girl?”
Opposing the team “No it sucks” w/ JB, Yugyeom and Mark
against the “It’s soooo cool omg” including Jackson and Bambam
while Youngjae and Jinyoung stayed indifferent
because as Jackson said “of course it doesn’t change anything for you. You still have a peach booty and you a cute face...”
So on this wises words, the day ended
And this is how got7 spent their day as girls.
Teenager
After a horrible divorce Jaebum is left as a single father, life has taken its toll on him and sometimes he just wants to feel like young again. Love is hard to find, and when he does find it will it make him feel like a teenager again?
Jaebum looked down at his daughter’s soft curls and sighed. At 1.5 she was a picky little thing, and she was finally asleep after three books, something that his wife was supposed to be doing tonight. Not that he really cared, he felt like he was getting too old to be going out with the rest of the guys anyway. He was a married man with a daughter now. However; he kissed her little brown face and turned on her unicorn night light as he left the door cracked.
Taking his cell phone out of his pocket, Jaebum texted his wife.
Where are you?
It took a minute for her to respond, and he almost hit the call button before she answered.
Working. I told you, another late night, please don’t be all behind me like that you know I hate that.
He knew she did, but Jesus another night? He groaned, sitting on the couch.
I was supposed to meet the guys tonight. Are you gonna be another hour or?
He could tell she was probably angry by the way the little bubbles disappeared then reappeared. Finally a nice, lengthy, and very annoyed text came back.
OMG, JB you saw them last week. I thought you liked being a daddy so much? You know how vital this promotion is to me. Just invite them over or something, I don’t care. Please let me get this done, I don’t want to have to worry about you and your hurt feelings.
Rude much? He read her text twice, deleting and writing again before deciding to just ignore her. She wanted space then fine.
Fine.
He smiled. Let her stew over that. Or not, she’d probably ignore him. It was like that a lot lately. Well, ever since she finished her masters and started working for that corporation she’d been so busy. She didn’t want to have kids, didn’t want any pets. Just him and her. Instead of him waiting around for her. He hated it, she used to be so carefree, she used to hug him more. They had sex more too now that he really thought about it.
He met Nia at a JYP party 6 years ago. He had stared at her practically all night before BamBam realized he knew the woman she was with. He had introduced them, and Jaebum was trying not to fall in love.
She was tall, maybe an inch shorter than him. Brown skin that glowed in the light, smooth like butter. Everything about her was perfect, from her ample bottom on those long legs, to the way she smiled at him with those full lips. She introduced herself confidently in Korean, her accent was adorable, and he was stumbling over his words. Their love was a whirlwind, they got married a year and a half later.
What happened?
Trying to push the memories away, he called Jinyoung to find out where everyone was. He could hear the rest of the guys with him.
“Hey, I can’t go out. Nia is still at work, and I don’t have a sitter. You guys want to come over?” He asked Jinyoung, as he looked through the cabinet for snacks.
Jinyoung groaned. “What? We planned this last week!”
Jaebum listened as Jinyoung explained what was going on to everyone else. Youngjae and Mark agreed to go to his house. BamBam and Yugyeom were upset.
“Tell them I’m sorry, I don’t have a sitter.” Jaebum remembered BamBam was there and quickly added, “And no, not some young girl BamBam knows, someone I trust.”
He heard a groan and then more talking. He knew they wanted to drink and dance. It was just getting so hard to coordinate with Nia now.
“It’s ok Jinyoung, tell them maybe next week-”
“No, hyung. We are coming over, we’ll bring drinks is that ok?”
Smiling, JB pulled the chips and cookies out he had. “Yea, please do.”
“See you in 20.”
Hanging up the phone, Jaebum looked down to see another text from Nia.
It’s going to be like this all week, so don’t wait up for me.
So no time for just them, no time to hang out with his friends. He ran upstairs to make sure Areum was still asleep. Thumb in her mouth she was sound asleep, and he walked back downstairs wondering when his family, would indeed be a family again.
“Nia, don’t walk away when I’m talking to you. You scared Areum, what the fuck is wrong with you, it’s just milk!” Jaebum was chasing after his wife up the stairs to their bedroom.
“It’s not just the milk!” Slamming the bathroom door closed, he could hear her curse behind the door. “Fuck!”
Dinner was going fine, Nia had laughed at something he said, she was even home early. He had just refilled Areum’s cup when the baby had knocked it over onto the floor. Nia flew off the handle, causing Areum to cry for Jaebum. She was so tense, everything was unraveling at the seams.
“Nia, listen. Calm down, then come downstairs and let’s finish dinner. Maybe..” He got close to the door, placing a hand on the wooden surface. “Maybe, when Areum goes to bed we can talk. We haven’t talked in a while, I’ll rub your feet?” Feeling confident, he tried the doorknob only to find it locked.
“No.” The only answer he received.
Knocking on the door, he responded. “No, to what exactly?”
As the door opened, Nia pushed past him and went into the closet. “No to all of it. No, to you touching me, being near me, no to her being near me. I just can’t deal with all this and you guys. I just need to leave.”
His mouth went dry, hands shaking slightly. For some reason, there was a strange ringing in his ears, and as Jaebum shook his head, he moved his tongue around in his mouth although it felt like lead.
“Being near me? Being near Areum?” He moved his feet slowly across the floor, to the closet where Nia was on her knees packing a suitcase.
“Yes.” She stopped long enough to look up at him. Her face devoid of emotion, no tears, no hesitation as she spoke her next words. “I don’t want to be here anymore Jaebum. I can’t, it’s bad enough you made me have a baby, this makes it harder.”
He knew he was breathing harder and faster than average. Jaebum knew he shouldn’t be as angry as he was and perhaps he should calm down, go downstairs and check on Areum. He should ignore what she said and just let her cool down. Instead, he allowed his emotions take control.
“What the fuck did you just say to me?” Slamming the door open to the closet. “Repeat what you said, real slow too and in English this time so I know you’re serious.”
She chuckled, standing up to straighten her suitcase. “We’ve been together four years, nearly five and you still have a hard time understanding English, don’t get cute.”
Gritting his teeth, he laughed to keep from cursing. “Wow. Ok, I’m pissed. Just to let you know and I’m trying to…what is wrong with you?”
“Everything!” She screamed. “I was doing great, I was doing fine, and then you came along and just…I was fine with that. I had things I wanted to do with my life Jaebum. It was my life, and I didn’t have to worry about anyone else. Then you just had to have a baby.”
“Her name is Areum! Areum Im! She’s our daughter for fuck’s sake Nia, I made you have her? If you didn’t want to get pregnant then maybe you should have stayed off my dick!” He didn’t want to cry, he didn’t want her to see his tears. The child who sat downstairs listening to her parents yell and scream was flooding through his mind.
“Like you weren’t begging me?” Nia watched him walk out the room, chasing him. “Oh, so now you don’t want to have the conversation? Really? You begged me, you practically cried to have her. Now she’s here, and all I can think about is everything I can’t do.”
As Jaebum hit the bottom step, he looked into the dining room to see Areum smashing her rice around, kimchi on her head. He smiled to keep from screaming. He smiled at Areum to keep from turning around and crying in Nia’s face. Ignoring his wife, he walked over to his daughter and scooped the food off her head.
“Hey you, let’s have a bath.” Lifting the baby from the high chair.
Areum smiled at him, his eyes and mouth on her mother’s face. “Apa.”
Nia was standing there as he faced her. “So, that’s it? You’re done? I have what I want, and you still don’t have everything you need Nia? We are your family, I made a pledge to love and respect you, but I’m having a hard time even looking at you right now.”
She waved a hand at him dismissively. “In some way, you feel the same. How many years has it been since Got7 has done something? Damn, even EXO vocal line had a Christmas album.”
“Got7 will always be there! I have my fans sure, but my family is something different! I’d give up everything for Areum if I had to.” He scoffed. “Now I know you wouldn’t even think about doing that.”
Walking past her, Areum placed her face in the crook of Jaebum’s neck. The feeling of her fingers holding onto him softened him. Made him calm down a little, even if he had no one else, she was with him, and he’d always have her. He wouldn’t let Nia have her, though it was clear she didn’t want to have anything to do with the baby.
As he made it to the stairs, Nia spoke. “I’ll be back for the rest of my stuff in the morning. I’ll get you divorce papers by next Monday.”
3 Years Later
“Areum! Your toys are everywhere why?” Jaebum looked at his foot and the Monster High doll currently missing an arm.
Areum sprinted around the corner, smiling as she picked up her doll, popping its arm back on. “Apa, you broke it.”
“You fixed her, maybe don’t keep your stuff on the ground and that won’t happen.” He shook his head and pointed to the rest of the things scattered around the living room. “Uncle Jinyoung is coming today, clean up.”
“He’s grumpy. I like Uncle Jackson better.” Areum pursed her lips as she made the dolls legs march along the couch, ignoring her father’s orders to clean up.
Jaebum chuckled. “Don’t tell him that, he thinks he’s your favorite.” Picking up the toys himself, he began tossing them into a chest.
Areum turned towards her father, a bright smile on her face. “I tell all my uncles they are my favorite, then they buy me toys.”
Jaebum laughed out loud, as she picked up the remaining few toys. “You’re a scammer.”
“BamBam said sometimes you have to please people a little then they do what you want. He said that’s how he gets the ladies.” Areum shook her head matter of factly before grabbing the remote, sitting on the couch.
Jaebum nearly hit his head on a cabinet as he looked at his daughter. “I’m going to talk to BamBam.”
“He also said never trust a big butt and a smile.” Areum laughed. “Big butt.”
“Areum!” Jaebum had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from smiling. “That’s not nice for children to say. Don’t let me hear that again.”
The four and a half-year-old scrunched up her nose. “Fine…BamBam getting me in trouble.”
Scoffing, Jaebum shook his head and prepared himself some coffee. He knew everyone would probably be stopping by today. It had been 3 years since Nia had left and he was a single father. Nia hardly called, though she always sent a present on Areum’s birthday, Children’s Day, Easter and Christmas. Nia never had much to say to Jaebum, and somehow he knew it was for the best. The words she said, they still hurt his heart when he looked at his daughter.
Areum was a beautiful girl. Coily, dark hair that she liked to keep in a top knot on her head. She had so much hair now, it was more like a small bowling ball on her head. It had taken him a minute to do her hair correctly, but with the help of youtube and Youngjae’s girlfriend, he had it now.
She had his eyes and mouth, the rest of her face was Nia. Skin complexion in between theirs, she was sassy and sweet. She had a mean streak that Jaebum could thank Jinyoung for but; she was as kind and caring as Youngjae. Jaebum sipped his coffee as he watched Areum sing along to her cartoons. She was a good baby too, as soon as Nia could she went back to work and left him with an infant.
It took Mark holding Areum on his chest and talking to her in his deep voice, and that got her to sleep. As she got older, fooling around with BamBam and Yugyeom was her favorite. Now, after trading scowls with Jinyoung, Jaebum followed the two as they went to the store or mall and listened as they gossipped about the people around them.
He had a good life, it was peaceful. Jaebum and Areum. Although singing and producing tracks was still his passion, he had a daughter to fit into that schedule now, and he made it work. He took Areum to the studio, he made a place for her there and let her do what she wanted. He took her to meet clients, and she even put in her influence on some of the things he was working on. Right, he didn’t go out as much as he used to, and yea Jaebum had no interest in any woman, but…he was a father. That was his priority. Priorities, you had to have them straight, and he’d be damned if he was like Nia.
It still rocked his mind how she left like that. Just up and went, like she was never here. He remembered how he watched her gather her things the next day. She never looked at him, didn’t even kiss Areum goodbye. He cried that night like he never had before, a strong in your chest, a snotty cry that gave him a headache.
He thought she loved him. He had thought that she was just going through some stress and she’d come back and love him like she did before. She didn’t though and still hurt. A raw feeling in his body whenever he opened his nightstand and pulled out her picture. He spent a lot of time listening to Sza and Frank Ocean then. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make her love him, sending texts that were never answered, calling her and only getting voicemail.
He had hoped that who she was when they met was who she always going to be because he was happy then. Maybe he was too blind to see that she was unhappy and using him as a band-aid for something that was too deep inside her to be fixed.
“Apa!!!!!!” Areum screamed his name, and Jaebum jumped up looking at her.
“Yes?” His heart was beating fast in panic as he realized he had drifted off in thought.
“Uncle Jinyoung is at the door, he’s been ringing the bell, can’t you hear?” She continued to jump around, listening to an old Twice song.
“Yea baby.” Getting up, he walked to the front door.
“About damn time.” Jinyoung moved past him, shaking the snow that lingered on his coat. “It’s cold in your hall, building manager needs to turn the heat on.”
Jaebum rolled his eyes. “It’s a building thing, the halls remain a good 55 for some reason.”
“Well, it’s dumb. How you feeling?” Jinyoung handed him a small bag, moving a package around in his arms.
Jaebum gave his friend a small smile. “I’m fine. Mark called me this morning, you guys really have to stop this.”
“Checking on you?” Jinyoung removed his shoes and walked down the hall behind Jaebum. “You know we won’t, you’re still hurting. Anyone can see that. She fucked you up bad, which is why I’m here to tell you we are going out tonight.”
Jaebum turned around, holding out a hand to stop Jinyoung. “Whose idea is this?”
Jinyoung sighed, his shoulders slumping. “Youngjae, now can I see my niece?”
“No.” Jaebum stopped him again as Jinyoung tried to side-step him. “Who?”
Trying to keep his voice quiet Jinyoung scowled. “All of us! We all think it’s good for you Bummie. Look at yourself!” Scoffing, Jinyoung pushed Jaebum to one side and smiled at Areum. “Who’s my girl?”
“I am!” Areum ran to Jinyoung, hugging his legs as he leaned down to kiss her head. “Is this a present for me? It’s not Christmas yet!”
“No, but I love you, so I bought you something.” Handing her the purple foil wrapped box, Jinyoung patted the couch next to him. “Open it.”
As Areum opened the gift, Jinyoung turned to Jaebum. “Make me some coffee hyung? Then we can talk.”
The two laughed and talked for a bit, Jinyoung asking Areum why she chose to pair her plaid leggings with that checkered top. When the girl answered couture Jinyoung, was taken aback.
“Ok, fine. I just don’t think the pattern goes well together.” He stood up, crossing his arms over his chest.
Areum sat her new doll to one side, to pick up the little doctors kit it came with. She side eyed Jinyoung as she answered. “What you think and know are two different things.”
“Well excuse me!” Jinyoung answered her with a loud laugh. As he walked over to Jaebum, he sat down, sliding his coffee mug over towards him. “Seriously, when she’s old enough I’m gonna fight your kid.”
Shaking his head, Jaebum smiled. “You taught her.”
“Don’t remind me.” Sipping his coffee, Jinyoung knew how the conversation was gonna go. “You aren’t yourself, and you haven’t been since she left. If you want me to be honest, and yes I am, when she got pregnant with Areum.”
Jaebum didn’t want to have this conversation, Mark had tried to, and he had ended up making their quietest member yell at him. “Jinyoung…I don’t want to.”
Gritting his teeth, Jinyoung continued. “I don’t care. Someone is going, to be honest with you and why not the person you’ve known the longest?”
“That’s not the point.” It was a sensitive subject, is what Jaebum wanted to say, but he didn’t want anyone to see him break down over Nia. See him as less of a man if he cried.
“Jaebum.” Dropping honorifics, Jinyoung tapped on Jaebum’s hand to get his attention. “She never really loved you, not how you loved her. Ok, that’s over, Nia is gone. She won’t apologize, she’s too haughty for that. She is not coming back, and you need to move on.”
Clenching his fists, Jaebum turned from his best friend. “Shut up.”
“Get rude, do what you have to, but it’s the truth. You’re a shell of who you were.” Finishing his coffee, Jinyoung continued. “Stop this. You’re coming out with us tonight, you’re going to have a good time, and eventually, someone will love you and Areum like you need to be. Until then, at least try…”
“Try to do what!” Struggling to keep his voice down, Jaebum picked up Jinyoung’s cup to fill it. He needed to move, he needed to walk around and hopefully, the distraction would cause Jinyoung to stop talking. To stop poking at the fresh wound that was still in his heart. “You guys say, move on. You say get dressed, let’s go out but I can’t. I loved her, does no one understand that? I loved her with everything I had. I made it work, culture differences and..” Jaebum ran his hands through his thick, midnight dyed hair.
Getting up, Jinyoung watched as his leader slumped over on the counter. He listened as Jaebum tried to calm his breathing and choke back on the tears that Jinyoung knew he was trying to keep at bay. “We know. I know. More than anyone, I know how you felt about her. That doesn’t change anything.”
“Maybe…if I give her more time.” Sitting up Jaebum wiped at the corners of his eyes.
“No. Nia doesn’t need any, because…I’m not going into this.” Looking into Jaebum’s eyes, Jinyoung pointed at Areum. “Do it for her. Don’t you think that Areum knows? She knows she has an absent mother, you know what she told Youngjae last week? She said she heard you crying in the bathroom, and Areum wondered if she had a mommy to love you, would you stop crying at night?”
Jaebum looked over at his daughter. He thought she was asleep, how much did she know? Touching at the stubble on his face, he looked at Jinyoung. “What else did she say?”
“Nothing. Please, just go out. Do something…” Jinyoung knew Jaebum wasn’t big on hugs, but he knew pain. He had experienced his own heartbreak. He knew how it felt to have loved, and watch it leave you. Breaking the unspoken rule, he pulled Jaebum into a hug. “We miss you, we miss the fun Jaebum, we missed when you were free.”
He knew it was time. Wrapping his arms around his friend, Jaebum squeezed him back. Nia wasn’t going to come back, and nothing was the same. He had built a wall around his heart and just threw himself into work and Areum.
“Fine. I’ll call the sitter.”
That night Jaebum looked at himself in the mirror as he fixed the collar on his black button-up.
“You look handsome Apa.” Areum stepped into the room wearing her unicorn pajamas.
“Thank you, baby, do me a favor tonight?” Jaebum turned towards her, as he walked into the bathroom to spray on cologne.
“Don’t call you while I’m hiding from the babysitter?” Areum’s grin was downright devilish.
“That.” Jaebum rubbed some lotion on his hands. “I need you to be a good girl, and sleep, when you wake up in the morning, I’ll be here.”
“Of course you will, you don’t pick up ladies like Yugy.” Areum smiled as Jaebum stared at her in the mirror.
“What?” He knew he heard her, but he was making sure.
“BamBam said that Yugy does that, he changes women like he changes his underwear.” She giggled. “I change mine every day.”
“Areum.” JAebum let out a heavy sigh. “I’m going to kill BamBam.” Closing the bathroom door behind him, Jaebum sat on the edge of his bed and pulled his daughter close to him. “You hear me cry sometimes?”
Areum grew quiet, she snuggled into her father’s side and wrapped her arms around his waist. “Yes, I’m sorry I told.”
“No.” Jaebum hugged her back, he buried his nose in her coily hair and took a deep breath. “It’s fine, I won’t cry anymore either.”
“You can cry if you’re sad Apa, why don’t you tell mommy you’re sad?” Areum moved her face to look up at her father.
Jaebum swallowed hard. “Mommy doesn’t want to hear that. So, I don’t tell her because it won’t help.”
Areum stayed quiet for awhile, she seemed to be thinking, her almond-shaped eyes staring at her father. “Why did mommy leave?”
He knew it was going to come one day. He knew he’d have to prepare for it, but he wasn’t sure how exactly. One day maybe she would see the truth. “Mommy was overwhelmed with everything, mostly me. She was just unhappy, and she is happier by herself. I suppose some people are like that.”
“She was happier without us?” Not missing a beat, Areum waiting for an answer.
“Yes.” Jaebum choked on the lump in his throat.
“So now, you’ll have to find a new wife?” Areum lets go of her father, she hopped down from the bed and grabbed a tissue from his nightstand.
Dabbing at Jaebum’s eyes, he tried to smile as she mostly wiped his cheek. “I don’t have to.”
“Maybe you should, everyone needs someone to love. BamBam said that too.” She kissed her father’s cheek, patting it.
“At least in that aspect BamBam is right. Now come on, the sitter will be here soon, and it’s time for bed.”
It was louder than Jaebum remembered in this club. Darker and hotter as well. Beyonce’s formation was playing, and as soon as BamBam came through the door, he and Yugyeom hit the dance floor. Shaking his head, Youngjae wrapped his arm around his girlfriend and followed Mark as he leads them to a secluded table in VIP.
“You mix that negro with that Creole make a Texas bama!!!” Youngjae’s girlfriend, Ava cried out as she danced around Youngjae.
He smiled at her, holding her hand, before placing one hand on her waist as she began to dance on him. Jaebum raised an eyebrow at the couple, wondering when Youngjae came out of his shell as he watched them.
“I like Ava, she makes Youngjae smile,” Jackson commented as he slid next to Jaebum.
“She’s good for him,” Mark added, waving a waitress over.
They watched as Ava lead Youngjae to the dance floor, he was confidently holding his own. Watching as the music changed to something with more bass. Jaebum grinned as Ava bent over in front of Youngjae, bouncing her ass on him, with Youngjae moving his hips to the beat.
“So, as they make a baby on the floor, we can watch BamBam and Yugyeom move like sharks through the water as they find some women.” Mark chuckled, as he sat back and waited for Jackson to say something.
“Don’t be a hater, Mark,” Jackson added right on time. “They have game, you have none and sit there scowling like an old man.”
“I get girls, they just don’t get me.” Mark sat up as the waitress came back with drinks, taking his own.
“So says the man who hasn’t had a steady girlfriend in two years.” Jinyoung retorted.
Mark downed his shot, pouring another. “Like I said, I get girls, they don’t get me.”
“Alright, alright. Let’s just have fun.” Jaebum took a shot offered by Mark, and downed it, coughing after the burn. “Damn.”
“So then let’s dance, let’s mingle.” Jackson stood up, running his hands over his mesh shirt under his jacket. “I bought this shirt to show off for someone who might be special, not Y'all.”
Laughing, Jaebum took another shot. “I might need a few more drinks first.”
“Fine.” Jackson pointed at Mark. “Wingman?”
“Wingman.” Mark grasped Jaebum’s shoulder. “Loosen up and let me see you out there, it’s nice to see you relax finally.”
Nodding at him, Jaebum ordered more drinks and turned towards Jinyoung. “So, I’m here, happy now?”
“Not quite.” Jinyoung put his phone down and scanned the room, before looking back at Jaebum. “How would you feel about being set up on a date?”
Jaebum slid his hand down his face. “Please don’t tell me you invited someone here.”
“No. Sunday, you can meet her. She’s international since that seems to be your thing.” Jinyoung poured a shot of Souju and groaned.
“Depends on what you mean by that.” Jaebum eyed, Jinyoung as he drank as well.
“She’s an American.” Jinyoung watched as a pair of women walked by the table, one plainly eyeing him.
“That tells me nothing.” Ignoring the woman’s friend who was looking at him, Jaebum continued to drink.
“You’ll see, that’s why I like America. I say American, and you don’t know who to think. I say China, and you know. I say Japan, and you know.”
“Is it code word for she’s black? I don’t like someone based on color, Nia was a black woman, yes, but that’s not why I liked her.” Jaebum felt himself getting irritated if that was the case.
“Calm down. No. I just meant you like international women. Nothing else, Jesus, calm down.” Jinyoung passed him a bottle of water. “Drink this, you’ve had 6 shots in 10 minutes.”
“I’m fine.” Jaebum pushed the bottle away. “I’m having fun remember?”
“It won’t be fun tomorrow.” Standing up Jinyoung finished one more shot. “Let’s go see what the others are doing.”
As they moved through the crowd, they watched as Youngjae and Ava made their way back to the table. BamBam was currently whispering something in a woman’s ear that made her smile. Yugyeom was holding a woman close to him on the dance floor. His hand on the small of her back as he pressed her body into his. Mark and Jackson were standing off to one side, laughing with a small group of men and women. Jaebum looked around at the people passing him and near him. It seemed like everyone was so young, but then again he couldn’t talk much. Mark was older than he was.
An old EXO song was playing now, one that he liked and as he bobbed his head to the music, he looked to the right. Either he was drunk, or something was messing with his head because the crowd seemed to part a little at just the right moment. Through the light smoke haze, he saw her. Standing there, with a smile on her face as she danced in the little group with her friends. A fitted black dress on that accentuated all the right places, her heels the brightest things she had on. Their electric blue color, making his eyes strain.
She was just there, and there was nothing else. The sounds became muffled, and everything seemed to slow down. Jaebum was never one for love, at first sight, lust yea sure but come on. No one was that…gorgeous. No one could be that perfect and not realize the effect she had on everyone in the room. Was she looking at him, her lip curled up into a smile, as she put her hands up and continued to sway.
The crowd milled around, and then she was gone. Jaebum panicked, trying to look over peoples head as he made his way over to her. She had left that area, and he turned around scanning the crowd, he just wanted to look at her up close, maybe know her name. Something, anything. Spotting Jinyoung, he made his way over to him.
“Did you see..”
“How could I not? You were practically drooling, you stood there so long you probably creeped her out.” Grabbing Jaebum’s shoulders, Jinyoung turned him towards the bar. “That way.”
Then she was back in his vision, drink in her hand as she stuck her tongue out and laughed. “Maybe I shouldn’t.” Confidence lacking, now as he took a step back. Jaebum looked back at Jinyoung, who shook his head.
“Go, or I’ll go over there and embarrass you.” Giving Jaebum an easy push, Jinyoung walked away from him to make his way back to the table.
It was simple right? He was so out of practice. Just go over there, say hello, introduce himself and ask her if she wanted to dance. Maybe buy her another drink since was almost done with the one in her hand. His heart was in his throat, as he finally neared the bar. Enough that she looked up at him, she grinned and turned back to her friend as Jaebum finally stood in front of her.
They stared at each other for a while, before she shifted uncomfortably on her feet. “If you stare any longer, I’m going to have to charge you.”
“I’ll pay.” Jaebum smiled, holding out his hand to her. “Jaebum, and you are?”
She slid her hand into his, and he gripped it tight pulling her closer so he could kiss her knuckles. She smiled wide, her friends ohh’ing as Jaebum let her hand go. “Amina.”
He listened to the deep cadence of her voice, slightly raspy, he liked it. “Amina, do you want to dance?”
“She does.” One of her friends taking her empty glass as Jaebum took her hand once more leading her out to the dance floor.
Amina said nothing, merely smiling as Jaebum pulled her close to him, My Type by iKON began to play. He turned her around, so her back was to his chest. “How are you doing tonight?”
Amina laughed. “That’s the conversation we’re going to have now?”
Jaebum turned her around, one hand on her back, the other holding her hand tight in his. “Can’t I ask how you’re doing? Isn’t that the polite thing to do?”
“Yea, I’m fine, and you?” Amina lets go of his hand to dance in front of him by herself.
“Doing better, I wasn’t sure about this place at first, but I think I’m warming up to the idea.” He came closer to her, placing his hands on her waist doing a slow grind behind her.
“Why is that? I’ve been here a few times the music mix is always good.” She pressed her body closer to his, lifting her arm, so it was behind his neck.
“Didn’t see anyone that caught my eye, friends dragged me out here, but now I see you so…” He let his words linger, definitely realizing that alcohol was making him more confident that what he really was.
Amina laughed, letting go of him so she could wrap her arms around his neck as the song transitioned. “Aren’t you smooth?”
“It’s the soju.” Jaebum grinned and leaned down so that he could rub his lips along her jaw. “You want to go sit down and talk?”
Nodding her head, she let him take the lead, going back to the table where Mark and Jinyoung sat looking at something on Mark’s phone. The looks of surprise on their faces went away quickly as Jaebum motioned them not to say anything.
“Hello.” Amina waved at the two, reaching out her hand. “I’m Amina.”
“Mark.” The first to take her hand, he smiled at her and nodded his head at Jaebum.
Jinyoung raised an eyebrow as he took her hand. “Jinyoung, do you guys want to be alone?”
“No, it’s-”
“Yes.” Jaebum cut her off. “If you don’t mind.”
Amina shook her head. “Y’all can stay, if Jaebum wanted to talk to me alone, he could ask me on a real date.” She looked pointedly back at Jaebum, crossing her legs under the table.
“How do you know I wasn’t going to?” Jaebum asked, and Jinyoung nudged Mark as he watched the exchange.
Licking her lips slowly, Amina grinned at him. “I figure you’d have brought that up already.”
“So, Amina where are you from?” Mark interrupted as he looked at her.
“San Francisco.” She answered, sliding closer to Jaebum.
Sitting up a little, Mark answered. “Oh, that’s whats up. I’m from LA. What brings you to Seoul?”
“Shouldn’t Jaebum be asking her these questions?” Jinyoung pushed a drink in front of Mark. “Show me that girl again.”
Amina laughed and turned back to Jaebum. “So, are you from Korea?”
“Yes, native Korean if that’s what you’re wondering. Why are you in Seoul though?” He draped an arm over the back of where she sat, as he moved his position Jaebum realized he was drunk. The room wasn’t shifting, but it was sweltering, and his face hurt from smiling so much.
“Business opportunities. I’m a MUA, makeup artist and the company I am working with had opportunities here. I thought why not.” She let her hand fall on his thigh. “I’ve been here for four months now.”
“Do you like it?” He hoped she did, he wished that he could see her tomorrow, and the day after and that she just wasn’t interested in him for tonight.
“I do. I think my Korean is getting better.” She moved her tongue over her nude painted lips, letting her hand slide up his chest. “Tell me something Jaebum, why haven’t you kissed me yet?”
He wanted to, nothing was holding him back even though he knew Jinyoung and Mark were watching his every move. “I’m interested in getting to know you outside of tonight.”
Moving away from him, Amina moved her legs over Jaebum’s until she was sitting sideways on his lap. “Good because I have to go, work in the morning, where’s your phone?”
Startled, Jaebum tried to calm himself down he didn’t want to give himself away too much, and he shifted her on his lap as he pulled out his phone. “Can I put mine in yours?” She pulled her phone out from her bra and handed it to him.
Handing her phone back, Amina slid off his lap as her friends came up to the table. “Perhaps, I’ll hear from you soon?”
She didn’t give him time to answer as she started walking away, impulse reacted in Jaebum, he reached out taking her wrist pulling her back to him. One kiss, that was it. Pressing his lips against hers chastely, he let her go.
Amina covered her mouth as her friends laughed shuffling her towards the door.
“Well, I think you’ve had enough adventure for tonight.” Jinyoung interrupted Jaebum’s reverie.
“Naw, he just needs to get it wet one time, and he’ll be better.” Mark laughed before Jinyoung punched his arm. “Are you going to call her?”
As the rest of the crew came back to the table, BamBam saw the interaction and clapped his hyung on the back. “I saw that. You have to wait at least 2 days before you call. You don’t want to look desperate.”
“No, he doesn’t. They like it when you call the next day. Don’t text.” Yugyeom added.
“Or he can do what he wants because Jaebum is a grown man and he is capable of talking to women on his own.” Ava retorted as she sat down on Youngjae’s lap.
“Thank you, Ava.” Jaebum smiled at her. “I do know I am drunk, and I won’t be as bold tomorrow, so perhaps…I should go home.”
“Yea, we’ll share a cab with you,” Youngjae replied.
The ride home wasn’t long, and Jaebum mostly stared out the window as Ava whispered in Youngjae’s ear, rubbing his hand on her thigh. He smiled at how they were together. She was bolder than Youngjae, but it made him more open as well. As Jaebum got out of the cab to pay his half, he wished them goodnight. The crisp, winter air made him pull his jacket closer to him as he entered the code for his building.
Winter was indeed upon them, and he stumbled on his feet a little, burping. The taste of soju was sharp in his mouth, and he placed a hand on his stomach hoping he didn’t vomit. As he opened the door, the babysitter sat on the couch thumbing through a magazine.
“Thank you HaEun, you can stay the night if you want. I’ll pay you extra, there’s a spare room near Areum’s.” The girl stood up giving a bow.
“It’s ok, I can take a cab.” She placed the magazine down. “Areum was asleep the whole time. She got up for a drink, but she went back to sleep after.”
“Thank you for watching her. Stay inside until it comes and I’ll walk you down then.” He answered her, going to the kitchen for water. Jinyoung was right, he should have drunk some while he was there. He finished two bottles before the cab came, feeling a little better he walked HaEun to the taxi and paid the fare.
Back in the apartment, he took a deep breath and made his way to Areum’s room. The room bathed in a soft pink glow, he spied her laying halfway on her bed. She always slept weird, and he adjusted her body kissing her cheek. Pulling the covers over her once more, he left the door cracked and went to his own room.
As he got ready for bed, he took out his phone and stared at Amina’s phone number. He didn’t know when he would call her and half of him wanted to tomorrow. Maybe the next day but he wasn’t sure. He did want to see her again, but he didn’t want to look desperate either. Plugging the phone in, he turned over in his bed and fell asleep.
Mafia
Tittle: Mafia Words: 1.6K Pairing: Cara/Everybody; 8th Member of GOT7 Summary: GOT7 plays mafia.
‘Pick your card, please.’, woman said and pointed at eight cards in front of Cara. She put her lips on one side, playing with her braid as she was thinking which number is better.
‘I’m gonna pick number one. Because I’m the best.’, Cara said and gave the card to woman. She turned it around, showing red card with ‘mafia’ written on in. Cara sighed deeply and dropped her head. ‘Oh my God.’, she whined and woman gave her another card to fill in. As soon as she saw the photo, she started giggling. Eleven year old Cara, with missing one tooth and curly hair, that took half of the photo. ‘How did you even get this?’, she asked, taking the pencil to fill the blanks. In name she just simly wrote ‘C’ and ‘Winner’ as the comment. She stuck it on her stomach and left woman alone, so rest of the boys could pick up their cards.
Everybody came to the main room and sat on the floor. Cara ended up sitting in between of Jaebum and Mark. It wasn’t a surprise anymore to boys and any of them wouldn’t even pick it up or give more attention. Cara and Mark would always sit next to each other and nobody could say a thing about it. As Cara was sitting there alone for few minutes, she put blanket over her legs, since it was cold for her. Later shared it with Jaebum and Youngjae a little.
‘Who do you think mafia are?’, Jaebum asked, looking over his left side.
‘I think Jinyoung is.’, Yugyeom said and Mark agreed with him. ‘I think he’s the mafia, but pretends not to be.’
‘I think it’s Cara.’, Youngjae said, pointing at the girl. She was really shocked by that reaction and turned to him with raised eyebrow.
‘Me?’, she asked. ‘Me and BamBam have no idea how to play this game. How can you even suspect me?’, she added laughing.
‘I actually think it’s between Jackson or Youngjae.’, Jinyoung said. ‘Cara is right. She would be terrible mafia, since she has no idea what is going on.’
‘But she’s a good actress.’, BamBam pointed out, making Jaebum and Jackson nod.
‘But look around yourself and you’ll see how everybody acts different.’, Cara said motionind aroung her. ‘JB is trying to act cool. Jackson, who’s always loud and extra, is so quiet all of the sudden. And Mark’s mouth is not closing even for one second. It’s not normal. Those two are suspicious, not me.’
‘I think we should kill Jinyoung.’, Jaebum pointed at him.
‘How many people we should kill?’, Youngjae asked.
‘Mafia should kill three people.’, Mark answered and rest nodded agreeing with him.
‘What if we let the mafia members meet each other?’, woman said behind the camera.
‘But them we will hear everything.’, Youngjae said, making weird noises.
‘Just close the eyes.’, Jaebum said and everyone agreed. ‘Be fair.’
‘Mafia can open their eyes and see each other.’, she said.
As soon as Cara closed her eyes she felt Mark’s head on her shoulder. She then put her head on his and pretended as if her eyes were closed. She opened them slowly and tried to look around and see who’s in her ‘team’, but she could only move her eyes, because Mark could feel her every move. As soon as her eyes went open Jackson pointed at her with opened mouth. She just smiled at him and wiggled her eyebrows. He also pointed at Youngjae, so that she could know that he’s also part of mafia.
‘You can open your eyes.’, woman said and everyone did it. They started discussing who’s in the mafia and who’s not. Trying to figure out who should go out first.
‘Not gonna lie, when it was said for mafia to open their eyes, I heard Cara’s breath being a little faster and now I’m confused.’, Jaebum said.
‘Because I wanna win this, but neither of you care to explain what this game is about, so I’m nervous.’, she explained. It seemed as they quickly forgot about it, because everyone started accusing Jinyoung of being mafia and she quickly joined the discussion.
‘Okay, so everyone who thinks Jinyoung is mafia put their thumbs down.’, Jaebum said and everyone except Cara and Jinyoung put their thumbs down. ‘Why did you put your thumb up?’, he asked, turning to her.
‘Because, I think it’s Jackson and Mark and not Jinyoung.’, she explained, stumbling over her words at the end.
‘She stuttered. Maybe you’re the mafia!’, BamBam exclaimed.
‘I stuttered, because my Korean is still not good.’, she rolled her eyes at him.
‘Anyway, Jinyoung is out!’, Youngjae said and he revealed his card, which was ‘citizen’. ‘Wow, we’re failing at this game already.’
‘Why?’, BamBam asked.
‘We’re supposed to kill mafia.’, Cara said, making him nod and trying to understand what was going around.
‘Why we even killed you?’, Jackson asked. ‘Mafia, we are... Supposed to kill at night.’
‘We?’, Jinyoung repeated and Jackson started screaming.
‘Told you he’s mafia!’, Cara screamed bacck and pointed at him.
‘No, no, no I didn’t mean that!’, he started to explain himself.
‘Dead player can’t talk anymore from now.’, woman said, pointing at Jinyoung. Everyone went to their places and calmed down a little.
‘The night comes, please close your eyes.’, Jaebum said as he closed his eyes.
‘All eyes are closed. Mafia open their eyes.’, woman instructed.
Everyone did as she said. Cara felt again Mark’s head on her shoulder. She did the same thing as before and put her her head on his. She opened her eyes, just to see Jackson and Youngjae starring at her. Because Jackson wasn’t near anybody he pointed at BamBam, asking if they should kill him. Cara moved her head slightly as a ‘no’, pretending she’s just adjusting her position. With her thumb she pointed at Jaebum. Jackson agreed and Youngjae did the same thing. All of them closed their eyes and let the doctor pick one person to save.
‘Sorry to tell, that JB was found dead at night.’, woman said and everyone started to laugh. He laughed himself and revealed, that he was a citizen. It was revealed, that Yugyeom is a doctor, even if he didn’t really confirm it. Then Jackson and Youngjae both jumped on a ‘I’m a doctor’ train.
‘Let’s vote for Jackson!’, Mark said. Everyone started to put their thumbs down as Jackson tried to explain himself and save from being eliminated. When he saw everyone’s thimbs down, he just pouted and showed his card, that showed red background with written ‘mafia’ on it.
‘The night has arrived, mafia can open their eyes.’, woman said. Cara looked at Youngjae and then pointed slightly at Mark as a next ‘victim’. He agreed with her and then closed their eyes so doctor could save someone. They stayed like this for a minute, until woman behind the camera started talking again. ‘Last night, no one was found dead.’, she announced and everybody were in shock, starting congratulate Yugyeom good choice.
‘What are you even talking about?’, Cara turned to BamBam, who was trying to tell his theories to the rest and who should they will.
‘Suddenly, I believe BamBam.’, Yugyeom said.
‘That’s because he doesn’t know rules of the game.’, Mark said, making Cara laugh. ‘He’s just saying anything, that comes to his mind.’
‘Truth be told, Youngjae was perfect citizen from the biginning, but now he’s acting like mafia.’, Yugyeom said. ‘But on the other hand, Cara is weird too. She’s sitting still all the time and doesn’t really say anything.’
‘But that’s because she’s no idea what is going on.’, Mark explained, putting his arm around her shoulders and bringing her closer to him.
‘Well, one of them is mafia, you just need to figure out who.’, Jaebum said, actually knowing, that both of them are mafia and whetever they do they’ll will their enemy.
‘Okay, raise your hand if you want to kill Youngjae.’, Yugyeom said and everyone who has left raised their hands.
‘You guys are too cruel.’, Youngjae said. Then Mark took off his card showing green backgroung with ‘citizen’. BamBam and Youngjae did the same thing at the same time, reaviling Youngjae as mafia and BamBam as citizen.
‘Wait, so Cara is citizen too?’, BamBam asked confused.
‘Yes.’, Mark nodded, putting his arm around her shoulders.
‘Oh, am I?’, she asked, raising her eyebrow. Mark and BamBam turned to her also surprised.
‘Wait, you’re not?’, BamBam asked. Cara just smiled and revealed red card with mafia written on it. Both of them and Yugyeom started to scream, because only they didn’t know about it.
‘But you told us, you don’t know how to play it.’, Mark exclaimed.
‘I tell you a lot of stuff, so you leave me alone.’, she rolled her eyes, making Jaebum laugh.
‘Okay, we need to decide who, from the three of you, will get the punishment.’, Jinyoung said. Cara, Jackson and Youngjae nodded. They all started to play rock, paper, scissors, making Cara a loser. Everybody screamed, because they knew what the punishment it. Cara just stayed still and pouted, just thinking about it.
‘Anyway.’, she started and stood up. ‘It was very nice game, but I have a lot of things to do. Thank you for having me, but goodbye.’, she added, slowly walking away from the set and at the end running away from the boys. They quickly caught up what if going on and ran after her with a loud scream.
K-pop games with my mom
I decided to play more games with my mom. I originally only did the first one with her but kept thinking of funny questions, so I kept adding on lol. Here we go… 1) I first asked her to name the oldest, youngest, ugliest, prettiest, and leader amongst the group members: •EXO: D.O. as the youngest (which I agree with, I think he looks like one of the youngest at least); no surprise with this one: Sehun as the oldest; she thought Xiumin was the leader, but also said he was the ugliest one (why she gotta come at my bias like that??); she thought Kai was the prettiest (aka the boyfriend my niece assigned me lol). •BTS: She thought my man Yoongs was the youngest; she got Jin right as the oldest; she thought Kookie was the leader; she said Rm was the ugliest, and V was the cutest. •GOT7: She thought JB was the youngest, Jackson was the oldest and the ugliest (rude), and that Mark was both the cutest and the leader. •SVT: young boy Hoshi, grandpa Woozi, Mingyu as the leader, ugly S.coups, and pretty boy Vernon. •Astro: she thought Rocky was the youngest, Moonbin was the oldest, she got JJ as the leader; she said Eunwoo was the ugliest and MJ was the cutest (but if you remember when I first showed them to her, she said MJ was the ugliest and Eunwoo was one of the cutest lol it depends on the picture I guess). [side note: she said I’m gonna need a daycare for them since they all look young.] •Monsta X: youngest: Kihyun; oldest: Wonho; leader: I.M; ugliest: Hyungwon; cutest: Shownu. I asked who had the dopiest looking eyes since Jooheon has adorable eyes and the way I was able to differentiate between Jooheon and Shownu when first getting into them was who had the dopey looking eyes vs. a dopey looking smile lol. I expected her to point to Jooheon and she pointed at Hyungwon and said he looks like he’s been drinking too much. not what I was asking for mom lol. •Winner: maknae Mino; oldest hyung Hoony; Yoon as the leader but also ugliest; Jinu as the cutest. •Pentagon: E’dawn as the new baby; Kino as the oldest; she thought Hongseok was the leader; she called my baby Kino ugly; and also called my baby Yanan the cutest. •NCT: she got it right with Jisung; but wrong with Ten as the oldest; she also got the leader correct!; she thought Ten was ugly (coming at one of my boys like that) and Johnny was cute. [my dad stole her daycare joke for NCT.] NOW before I get into game 2, she was savage to people in the next two games that she said nice things about before. But she was also savage to people she was savage to before lol. 2) I asked who I should marry (aka who looks like he’d make a good husband), who I should have a fling with (who looks the dirtiest lol), who my baby daddy is (who has the best genes), and who I should slap: •EXO: She said I can’t marry Sehun since he looks conceited lol, then said since I don’t like Lay, I’ll marry him (WHEN DID I SAY I DIDN’T LIKE YIXING?? lol not sure where she got that from); I’ll have a fling with Kai, then she forgot she picked already and said the stuck up one Sehun–my momma just made me a hoe (her- "you are a hoe”); I’m gonna have a baby with the “doofy” one D.O (and she’s gonna tell my niece since D.O is her man lol), and I gotta slap my current bias Xiumin because he “looks too much like a girl.” •BTS: Marry, fling, and babies with J-hope because my mom is Hobi-biased (I bought me and her matching hope world pins and she said she’ll put it on her purse) she said I’ll have little daydreamers; I have to slap Rm because he flirted with me and I had to “slap his ass” (me: slap his ass? her: you slap his bottom. me: they don’t care if you curse). •GOT7: Marry and have babies with Jinyoung because my mom is biased for him as well; fling with Youngjae and slap Jackson (she was so mean to him lol). •SVT: I’m gonna marry Mingyu and my mom said he’s got a cute little hat. I am not going to have a fling with anyone because I have Mingyu (can you tell she’s biased for him as well?) and I’m gonna have his babies and they’re gonna have cute little hats and streaked hair. I have to slap Vernon for being too into himself, according to her. •Astro: Marry Moonbinnie; fling with JinJin (I’m gonna take advantage of him, then that’s it and get rid of him, my mom says); baby with MJ. she said I’m gonna slap Rocky since he has a girl smile and it’s probably gonna be a nail fight. •Monsta X: she said I’m gonna marry Wonho (but switched to Shownu when I told her WH isn’t gonna get married); I’m gonna have a fling with Wonhoe instead ;) ; I’m gonna have a baby with “backstreet boy up here” aka Jooheon, whom she said looked like Brian from the Backstreet Boys. She said Hyungwon and Kihyun look like drag queens and I’m gonna slap them. •Winner: “Not the baby group again.” Me: wrong group (astro). Marry Hoony, fling with Jinu and a baby with him too. Slap Mino and Yoon. •Pentagon: marry Shinwon (he’s only a week older than me tbh); fling with Hongseok and then Shinwon is gonna beat the shit out of him, but I have a baby with Hongseok. And I slap Kino. (She’s really coming down on my baby today.) •NCT: with this one, I asked who she thought the American/Canadian were: Kun/Ten; Marry Renjun (he does look like he’d be an adorable husband tho); fling with “this thing up here” aka Lucas (I don’t think she meant to be rude lol it just came out like that); baby daddy is Doyoung, but she said it looks like I’d have to take care of them all since they look young; slap “ugly kid” Ten. 3) I kid you not, I asked her to play f*ck, marry, kill (who I should do these things with) and I also added in who should I slap with a sandwich and who should I protect. When we mentioned the ~dirty~ part of the question, my dad was like who you gonna what? lol: •EXO: fuck Sehun, marry Yixing (again), kill Xiumin, protect Chen, and slap Xiumin with a sandwich. [She was so mean to him, so I showed her this clip and proceeded to die laughing over how funny the songs were] •BTS: This time I only fucked Jhope, but I got to marry Jin, and she had me kill Rm (so rude to him today). I have to protect Jk and slap V with a sandwich. •GOT7: fuck BamBam since he looks similar to Jinyoung? lol (she thinks Jinyoung looks like Glenn from the walking dead and said BB looks the next most like him); marry Jinyoung, kill Jackson (rude again), protect Mark and slap Youngjae with the sandwich. •SVT: of course with this being my mom/Mingyu’s fan, I get to fuck and marry him, but I gotta kill Vernon, who she previously called the cutest lol even though I showed her pics of them before and like 90% of the time she chose MG and like 5-8% she chose Wonwoo and the rest of the 2-5% was someone else. Gotta protect Woozi. I saw this one coming since he just looks adorable. Slap Hosh with that subway. •Astro: do naughty things with Sanha (still see him as an adorable baby wow didn’t expect her to pick him); marry JinJin; kill Eunwoo (why?? what has he done to her? she said he was the second cutest the first time she saw him); protect MJ and slap Rocky with that hoagie. •Monsta X: fuck I.M; marry Jooheon; kill Hyungwon (what would happen to all the memes???); protect my husband Jooheon; slap HW with a sandwich. She said I’m gonna give him a bitch slap and kill him. Oh, you want a sandwich? It sounded like she said slamwich which is violent yet fitting. •Winner: fuck Jinu and marry him; Kill Yoon, protect Hoony; sorry Mino, gonna get some ham and mayo in your face. •Pentagon: fuck Hongseok; marry Yeo one (also has husband vibes); kill Kino (-cries- he was one of her top two when I first showed them to her); protect E’Dawn; slap Kino. •NCT: fuck Renjun (well, I did marry him in the last one); marry Jeno (who last time she thought was 25, but this time she said 18–wonder if she remembered I told her lol); kill Johnny; protect Kun (agree); slap Johnny because she “can’t pick the others since they look so innocent.”
Protective Instinct
» Pairing: Park Jinyoung x Reader
» Genre: Fluff
» Word Count: 3,744
» Description: Jinyoung is the boy-next-door, jock-god. You’re stuck in a shitty relationship. He makes it his mission to break the two of you up.
» Part of the Varsity Jacket Series
The group of jock-gods was lingering near the refreshments table, distributing red solo cups and laughing at an inside joke. Once everyone was properly armed with alcohol, they dispersed -
Im Jaebum walked over to the screen door, stepping outside to greet his girlfriend and kissing her lightly on the lips. BamBam and Kim Yugyeom walked deeper into the living room and stole the karaoke mics from unsuspecting partiers, beginning to sing randomly and at the top of their lungs. Choi Youngjae wandered into the kitchen where his crush was munching on stale potato chips and talking animatedly with a friend. And Jackson Wang sauntered outside, where he’d spotted his latest fuck-buddy shivering in the cold.
Park Jinyoung walked over to the dining room with Mark Tuan, where a game of beer pong had already begun. Jinyoung put his name down for the next turn with Mark, before moving to chat with some of his classmates.
After a few minutes, Jinyoung slid into place behind the dining room table, replacing the very drunk girl who had just lost. He saw Mark out of the corner of his eye, toting said girl outside. Jinyoung brushed it off - Mark could take care of himself.
Instead, he picked up a ping pong ball and looked up at his opponent. It was a big beefy guy, who was already quite drunk. He smirked and slurred his words, “You think you can beat me, pretty boy?” He leaned against the edge of the flimsy table, and the whole contraption flipped end over end. The cups of beer slid off in a messy rush, sticky golden beer staining everything it touched. The drunk, beefy dude ended up on the floor, underneath the table, moaning in pain.
Jinyoung still held the ping pong ball in mid-air, his mouth hanging open in surprise. All the other witnesses did the same, standing on the perimeter of the room in shock. You saw the mess happening from your spot at the drinks table and rushed over quickly, breaking the tension.
“Are you okay?” you said, trying (and failing) to push the table off of him. Your boyfriend grunted in response, and you pushed desperately on the table, but to no avail.
Jinyoung, awakened to his senses by your entrance, hurried around the side and helped lift the table off of him. When you finally cleared away the table, and the destroyed solo cups that covered him, you found your boyfriend. He’d fallen asleep and was snoring quietly, underneath the mess. He was that drunk.
“Oh,” Jinyoung said, stifling a chuckle, “Wow.”
You covered your face in embarrassment, turning to him and whispering, “Thanks.” You crouched down and shook your boyfriend awake, supporting him as he stood up and walking out of the party with him.
Jinyoung watched you go in amazement, a new light in his eyes. Jaebum slammed the screen door shut as he reentered the party, muttering curses under his breath. Jinyoung grabbed the back of his jacket as he passed, still not taking his eyes off of your retreating figure.
“Who is that?” Jinyoung said, speaking over Jaebum’s frustrated muttering. Jaebum scrunched his face up and tried to concentrate on the profile he saw escaping through the doorway.
“That looks like Y/N,” Jaebum said, “She’s in my history course. Smart. Nice. Her boyfriend’s a douchebag though - always making inappropriate jokes, and stuff like that.”
“Then that’s definitely her,” Jinyoung said, remembering the horrific sight of your boyfriend collapsed on the floor beneath the dining room table, asleep. His eyebrows pulled together as he asked, “What’s the story with the boyfriend?”
“Ken Something,” Jaebum said, shaking his head, “I don’t know - all I know is that he’s always eating Doritos and shit in class, is always interrupting the professor and honestly, doesn’t seem like he treats Y/N well.”
That fixed it in Jinyoung’s mind. He’d felt the spark of initial attraction when he’d seen you before, but now he had to know more.
Now at home, your boyfriend collapsed on the couch. He hadn’t woken up the entire trip home, even when you bumped his head on the car door when getting into the uber. He was out.
Your roommate, hearing the noise, emerged from the bathroom, a toothbrush still dangling from her mouth. Jihyo rolled her eyes at the sight, “Drunk again?”
“Yes,” you sighed, looking at him as he slept and feeling repulsed slightly. You swallowed it down like bile that crept up your throat. You’d been having this sort-of repulsed feeling a lot lately, but you’d managed to keep it down for the most part. But as his shirt rode up his stomach to reveal the developing beer gut, his grating snores echoing in the room, you found it more difficult than usual.
“Seriously sweetie, why are you with him?” Jihyo asked, taking the toothbrush from her mouth and looking at you intently. You drew your gaze away from your boyfriend to look at her seriously -
“You know why Ji.”
She sighed and turned to walk back to the bathroom, saying one last thing before she left: “Fine. But he can’t crash here anymore. After tonight.”
You watched her disappear, the door clicking shut with a new kind of finality. The room was shrouded in darkness again, the only light coming from the gap at the bottom of the bathroom door. You sank onto the coffee table, your head falling into your hands.
Jihyo was right of course. This behavior was unacceptable. But what could you do?
Jinyoung woke up the next morning feeling energized. He’d gone home shortly after his encounter with you and your boyfriend, barely intoxicated except on his own determination. He dressed quickly and went out for his ritual run, the chill of six a.m. barely touching him as he sprinted across campus. The headphones planted into his ears played a melody with a fast tempo, so that his feet slapped the pavement with every offbeat, his heart pounding against his ribcage.
Jinyoung skidded to a sudden stop, though, at the sight of your lumbering boyfriend making his way across campus. There was a purple bruise that had swollen on his forehead, presumably from when the table had fallen on top of him. Even from this distance, he seemed dirty and hungover, a complete mess.
For the second time, the sight of this idiot stopped Jinyoung dead in his tracks. What did you see in him? The only way to find out, he figured, was to ask you. But before that, you’d need to be introduced.
Jinyoung felt his heartbeat slow as he stood still, pulling his phone out of the armband on his bicep and opening the “Ballers” group chat.
Jinyoung
6:43 AM: I need to know everything about Y/N.
It took another hour and forty-five minutes for someone to respond. Jinyoung has finished his run, showered and gotten breakfast. He’d just opened his Business & Management textbook when his phone dinged!
Mark
8:32 AM: Who?
Jinyoung looked at the message and huffed, that wasn’t very much help. Where was Jaebum? He knew Y/N, why hasn’t he responded?
Yugyeom
8:34 AM: Look at this pic someone sent me!!
And then there was a picture of Youngjae, naked and face down in the dirt - his butt exposed to the world.
“Oh my god,” Jinyoung said, shaking his head in disbelief. So much for his team being any help at all.
Mark did bring it up on Monday though, sitting next to him in lecture.
“So, who is Y/N?
“This girl I met at the party this weekend.”
“And she didn’t immediately fall for you?” Mark smirked, “Odd.” Jinyoung shoved him jokingly, opening his notebook to get ready for class. Mark looked at him expectantly, so Jinyoung filled him in quickly on the details.
“And all JB would tell me is her name and that her boyfriend’s an asshole,” Jinyoung frowned, “Oh, and that she’s in his history course.”
“Oh, I’m in that class too,” Mark said, furrowing his eyebrows. Jinyoung looked at him hopefully, a new light in his eyes. He thought for a moment, “I think Jihyo’s roommate was named Y/N...Ji was my partner for a project a couple weeks ago. Let me see…” Mark pulled out his phone and texted her quickly. He closed his messages and put his phone down as the instructor took his place in front of the class. Mark watched Jinyoung out of the corner of his eye, he was carefully labeling his notes with today’s topic. He sighed and said, quietly, “Seriously dude, what’s your plan though? To break them up?”
And that’s what Jinyoung thought about for the next forty-five minutes. After the professor dismissed the class, Mark checked his phone and filled him in, “Jihyo said she’s at the quad, we can meet her there.”
Still, at home, you were talking your boyfriend out of an afternoon quickie. You held your hands up defensively and backed away from him, “You have class in twenty minutes, babe,” you said, smiling to give the effect of playfulness.
“You know it won’t take that long,” he smirked and chuckled. You laughed at his remark too, putting your hands on his biceps and forcefully turning him towards the door.
“But you have to get across campus! You need to hurry!” He grunted in response and begrudgingly walked out the door. Without even thinking about it, you locked it once he left. You sank down onto the couch in defeat, your nose wrinkling at the smell of his alcohol-laden sweat that had seeped into the fabric. You swiped the Febreeze can off the coffee table and sprayed the couch maliciously until the whole room smelled obnoxiously like lavender. You stormed out in frustrated annoyance.
Jihyo was sitting on a bench with a book open on her lap when Jinyoung and Mark walked up. She had been surprised to get Mark’s text - even when they’d paired up for class he’d been quite distant. But seeing Jinyoung with him, she understood it wasn’t about him at all. It was about Jinyoung. And you.
“Um, hi,” Jinyoung said, standing in front of Jihyo and squinting his eyes against the sunlight. He smiled hopefully, his pulse quickening in anxiety.
Looking up at him, Jihyo understood why all the girls were so obsessed. He was that guy - cute, polite, sweet. The guy that everyone wanted to take home to their parents. The guy you deserved.
“Gotta run,” Mark said, glancing down at his watch, “Have fun kids,” he smirked, darting off for his next class. Jinyoung shoved his fist nervously into the pockets of his varsity jacket.
“So, can I buy you a coffee?”
Sitting across from Jihyo at the campus café, Jinyoung wondered why he was so nervous. He didn’t even know you. Why did he care so much?
Jihyo, seemingly reading his thoughts (or his expression rather), said, “It’s probably just a protective instinct.” When Jinyoung furrowed his brow at her, she explained: “That’s probably why you like her so much. Protective instinct. Because Ken’s a dick.”
“Her boyfriend?”
Jihyo nodded and sipped her coffee, “Ken. They’ve been going out since high school.”
Jinyoung’s jaw dropped, “Why?”
Jihyo looked at him seriously, inspecting his gaze. She sighed and put her cup on the table decisively, “Look, I don’t know how seriously you’re taking this but you’re like a perfect guy, which is why I’m going to let this protective instinct thing happen. Ken…” she paused, the suspense killing Jinyoung very, very slowly, “Ken saved her life.”
Outside, you passed by the coffee shop quickly, walking to class in rush. The exchange with Ken earlier had left you frazzled and running late. But you paused when you saw Jihyo and the sight of a familiar varsity jacket. You craned your neck around and caught sight of the person she was with. He was definitely one of the jock-gods, but his name escaped you. He was the one that had helped you at the party...right?
You pulled out your phone and typed quickly, resuming you walk -
Y/N
11:53 AM: You and a jock-god??? SPILL
Jihyo
11:54 AM: We’ll talk later.
You rolled your eyes at her ominous text and kept walking to class. Once there, with a minute to spare, you slid into your seat next to Jaebum, the only person that you knew in this class (and then only because he was in your other class, too).
“Hey, how was your weekend?”
You saw him clench his jaw in frustration, his fingers clenching the cuff of his varsity jacket tightly. You raised your eyebrows at him in surprise but decided not to push it further. After a minute or so, he seemed to recover and he finished unpacking his bag.
“By the way,” he said, casually, as if he’d never been angry at all, “Did Jinyoung ever talk to you?”
“Jinyoung?” you wondered, flipping through your notebook to find the page of notes you’d left off on.
“Yeah, he said he’d helped you out at the party the other night? Tall?” he raised his hand about a head taller than him, “Dark hair? Has this whole boy-next-door thing going for him? Varsity jacket?” He pointed to the one he was wearing as if to prove his point.
“Oh,” you said, the pieces clicking in your mind, “Oh, yeah. That was embarrassing. I just saw him at the café with Jihyo - are they dating?” you exclaimed suddenly, excitement bubbling in your voice.
“What?” Jaebum said, chuckling as he shook his head, “No. He likes you.”
“But…” you said, tapping your pencil against your notebook, “I have a boyfriend.”
“If that’s what you want to call him,” Jaebum said bitterly.
“Excuse me?” you said suddenly, staring at him in astonishment.
“Look,” Jaebum said, holding his hands in the air, “Maybe it’s none of my business, but that guy is a complete asshole and he treats you like shit, Y/N. Jinyoung isn’t perfect...but he’d treat you well.”
“Thanks for your concern,” you said, turning away from him, your voice clipping the words harshly. Jaebum sighed and shook his head, turning to his own notes.
When he had begun his own work, you deflated, your defense collapsing. Jaebum didn’t get it, he didn’t understand, and he didn’t know the history. Ken...Ken had saved your life. And he had suffered for it.
In high school, you’d dated for about a month (not a great month, but an okay one) when Ken had pushed you out of the way of a car and gotten hit himself. He’d hit the asphalt harshly and spent the next two weeks in the hospital. He still had trouble with pain, sometimes...
How could you break up with someone after they saved your life?
As soon as that thought entered your mind, another one followed (as had been the trend these days), how long till that excuse no longer applies?
Jinyoung sat back in shock, staring at Jihyo in disbelief. Jihyo nodded and took another drink of her coffee, “So that’s the story.”
“That’s it?” Jinyoung all but yelled.
Jihyo choked on her coffee in shock, “What do you mean that’s it?”
“I get that she didn’t want to break up with him right after he saved her life, but it’s been years,” Jinyoung exclaimed, “And he treats her like shit!”
Jihyo rolled her eyes, “I don’t think it’s that easy for her.”
“I have to talk to her,” Jinyoung said suddenly.
“Typical,” Jihyo muttered under her breath before saying, “You don’t even know her.”
“Introduce us,” Jinyoung insisted.
Jihyo sighed and thought it out. Jinyoung was far from perfect, she could see that clearly, but he seemed to genuinely care about you. She sensed that he would want to end your relationship with Ken even if he didn’t get to be with you. He just...cared.
“She’s in class for another half hour, we can meet up with her afterward.”
That had been the longest half hour of Jinyoung’s life. He sat on a bench outside of the science building, hitting his hands anxiously against his thighs. Jihyo looked up from the book she was reading to grab his hand harshly, “Stop.”
“I’m going to go for a run,” Jinyoung said suddenly, standing and peeling his varsity jacket off. Before Jihyo could object, primarily based on the fact that he was wearing jeans, he had gone off in a sprint.
“Crazy,” Jihyo muttered.
“Who is?” you said, still feeling the anxiety induced by Jaebum’s words. You followed Jihyo’s gaze but could only see someone running away.
“Um…” Jihyo hesitated, maybe she should wait till he got back? She glanced at your face and saw the worried expression, she decided to go for it: “Park Jinyoung?”
You raised your eyebrows at this newfound information, “Park Jinyoung.”
“Yeah, you know him?” Jihyo said, glancing in the direction that Jinyoung had run off in and tucking a piece of her hair nervously behind her ear.
“Jaebum says he likes me.”
Jihyo turned to you suddenly, eyes wide. She nodded slowly and said, “Yeah...that’s true.”
You sighed, sinking onto the bench with the varsity jacket acting as a barrier between you both, “I have a boyfriend, Ji.”
“A shitty boyfriend, Y/N.”
“Not you too,” you whispered, covering your face with your hands. Jihyo scoffed and spoke bluntly -
“Tough love time. Look, Y/N, you ever think that it’s not us, your friends, with the problem but you’re supposed boyfriend? That maybe we care about you and don’t like seeing you being treated like shit and maybe we have your best interests at heart? You don’t have to date Jinyoung, okay, but you should break up with Ken no matter what.” After this speech, she got up abruptly and walked away in a huff, too angry with you to sit there any longer. You let your head fall into your hands, the truth of everyone’s statements turning anxiously over in your mind.
There was an awkward cough from above you, breaking you from your reverie. You looked up at the stranger, your eyes welling with tears. The tall shape looked familiar, and after you blinked a couple of times you recognized him as (the now infamous, at least in your mind) Park Jinyoung.
“Hi…” he whispered, scratching the back of his head. Sweat beaded his forehead and trailed down his neck. The edges of his hair were damp and stuck to the sides of his face. There were sweat stains on the t-shirt he wore, and his chest was heaving with the exertion.
“Were you...running?”
“Yeah…” he said, looking away from you in embarrassment, “It helps with the nerves.”
“Nerves?”
“Yeah, Jihyo was going to introduce us and I was...nervous,” he gulped the word down uncomfortably, his eyes finally registering Jihyo’s absence, “Where is she by the way?”
You looked at the floor, “I pissed her off.”
“How’s that?” Jinyoung said, taking Jihyo’s place on the bench. If you’d paused at all during this interaction, you would have commented on how odd it was. How very strange it was that you, who typically kept things so close to the vest, were spilling your secrets, were suddenly so comfortable with this stranger.
Maybe it was knowing that he liked you. Or that the look in his eyes was so warm and welcoming that you couldn’t help yourself. Either way, you told him the truth.
“I’m foolish,” you sighed.
“I hardly believe that,” Jinyoung smiled slightly, tucking your hair behind your ear in a way that seemed comfortable and familiar.
“Well it’s true,” you smiled sadly back at him, “My boyfriend’s terrible. And I won’t break up with him.”
“Yeah, I’ve heard something about that,” Jinyoung chuckled. You smiled at him, a knowing glance passing between you both about the other’s activities. He leaned towards you and said, “I don’t know why...but I care about you. I know that I don’t really know you or anything, but...if I can offer some advice?” You nodded your consent and he continued, “Dating someone because you owe them a debt…” he paused, considering his words carefully, “Is a disservice to everyone involved.”
You watched his expression carefully, trying to gauge how much of this “advice” was simply for personal gain. But you could see genuine concern in his eyes.
Without thinking you raised your head up and locked your lips with his, pressing against him in a desperate, needy way. At the simple touch, a spark ignited within you and you wondered how you hadn’t done this before, why you hadn’t kissed someone else. This kiss was so different than everything with Ken...this kiss was clean (for one thing) and sweet, romantic and slow. There was no desperate, lusty urgency in this kiss.
Jinyoung’s hand cupped your cheek delicately, savoring the taste of your lips and the pressure of your body pushing against his own. His hand fell through the soft tresses of your hair until it landed on the curve of your neck, pulling you closer.
“What the hell!”
You both broke apart as if you’d been electrocuted. You swiveled around to look at the intruder of your intimate moment - Ken. He was in front of you both, his face purple and his sausage hands raised in anger.
High from the kiss, and the serotonin, you stood up and yelled back: “We’re done! You’re disgusting and a pig and you treat me like shit! And I don’t want to be with you anymore! I haven’t wanted to be with you since our first year of college, and I should have ended it then! I was stupid, but I refuse to do this anymore! We’re through.”
“Are you kidding me, you dumb…” Ken advanced towards you angrily, his emotions bubbling over the surface.
“Hey man,” Jinyoung said, that protective instinct kicking in again as he stepped between you and danger, “Leave her alone.”
“Pretty boy?” he shouted, throwing his fist and hitting Jinyoung square in the cheekbone. Jinyoung, athletic as he was, fell backward into your arms. You stumbled under the weight until you were sitting on the bench with his head in your lap. Ken growled something unintelligible before storming away from the scene, kicking a trash can over as he did so.
“Oh my god,” you whispered, watching Jinyoung’s face, “Are you okay?”
He blinked his eyes open, smiling suddenly, “Now that you’re available…”
a/n: ahhh the ending was kind of rushed
GOT7 Reaction - Finding Out You’re Bi
For my incredibly sweet GOT7 anon~Bias: Yugyeom! I really hope I don't disappoint you and that you love this reaction 😚 Note: For your ex girlfriends’ names, I literally google searched “list of generic girl names” XD if they suck let me know, I’ll gladly edit them to whatever names you want
Yugyeom
It was just a normal day for you. Yugyeom was at practice and you were going to go out shopping to stock up on snacks for your weekly Friday night movie night with your boyfriend. The thought of ending his week by holding you in his arms and stuffing his face with junk food is what got Yugyeom through the week. That, and your incredibly supportive texts. He screenshotted all the really cute ones and re read them when he was down. Because of the immense love you gave him, he arranged with JYP to leave rehearsal early today so he could surprise you, but that wasn’t for an hour so he tried his hardest to keep his excitement at bay and work hard. You had a mental checklist for what to buy, having gone through this routine every week for the year, give or take, that you and Yugyeom had been together. You bought your favourites, the chocolate candies, and you were just about to pick up the last pack of his favourites, the seafood flavoured chips. There was only one bag left, you were in luck. However, your luck ran out when you noticed that the chips were on a higher shelf than they usually were. You stood on your tiptoes, but you still were just barely out of reach of it. “Y/N?” You turned your head to the source of the familiar voice. Oh, shit... “Do you need help?” “Emma!” You smiled at the sight of your ex girlfriend, then were taken aback, remembering the painful breakup. “How have you been?” “You know...” She reached up and just managed to reach the bag of chips, handing it to you. “Same old, same old.” She avoided eye contact when you thanked her. “You?” “About the same.” Things were awkward. “So, what are you doing back here? I thought you were miserable in this town.” “I was, but sometimes you just don't know what you have until it’s gone.” You avoided what was probably a double meaning by putting the chips in your cart. “Are you going to eat all of that by yourself?” She attempted to lighten the mood, walking with you as you went up to the cash register. “Ah, no. Tonight’s movie night with my boyfriend.” “Boyfriend??” Her eyes went wide. “Wow, so you're straight now?” “Not completely.” She nodded, standing with you while you paid. “I can help you carry your bags out.” “That would actually be really nice.” You smiled at her as she took the heavier bags and walked outside with you to your car. As she helped load your trunk, her movements began to slow. “Are you okay?” You asked her. She chuckled. “Doing something so domestic with you...don’t you kind of miss it?” “Emma-” “Don’t you kind of miss me?” She got too close to you for comfort, but you were at an awkward angle, the hood of your car keeping you from backing up further. “Emma, stop!” “Jagi?” Both you and Emma turned around to the approaching man. You shoved past Emma and quickly ran up to him, Yugyeom, your boyfriend. “What’s going on here? Are you okay? Who is she?” “What are you doing out of work so early?” “Hi.” Emma interjected, bowing to Yugyeom. “My name’s Emma.” He bowed back and introduced himself. “Are you a friend of y/n’s?” “Actually, I’m her ex girlfriend.” Yugyeom’s mouth fell open and you felt your face get hot. “I-I was going to tell you, Yugyeom. I’m bisexual, and I’ve dated women in the past.” You felt your cheeks getting hot with your sudden confession. Emma saw this as a good time to take her leave. “It was nice seeing you again, y/n.” She walked away quickly with her hands in her pockets. Yugyeom turned to you. “Why didn’t you tell me?” “Baby, it’s not that I don’t trust you, it’s just that...I didn’t want you to see me any differently. And I certainly didn’t want you to think I don’t love you because you aren’t a girl. Do you understand?” “Of course I understand, y/n. And go you for being so progressive! You know what you want and that’s just one of the things that I love about you.” “Well...” You leaned closer to Yugyeom and whispered in his ear. “Right now, I want you...” You pulled back and saw Yugyeom was biting his lip. “I’ll drive, get in the car right now, pretty girl.” And so you did, and Yugyeom showed you all the love in the world once you got home.
JB
JB found out through scrolling on Instagram. Seeing you were tagged in a post, he tapped it. He was shocked to find you kissing some other girl’s cheek with the caption “old memories die hard” at the bottom. “Jagi, who is this?” You came into the living room and once you saw the post he was looking at, you froze and your face turned red. “That’s...my ex girlfriend.” He didn’t miss a beat. “Oh, cool.” He remarked, then went back to scrolling through Instagram. You stood there, confused for a minute. “My ex girlfriend.” “What about her?” “...I’m bi.” “Good for you. Do you expect me to treat you any differently?”
Mark
“Y/N, who’s this?” Mark was flipping through some photo albums he found under your bed, and was confused as to why he didn’t know the identity of the girl you seemed very friendly with on multiple occasions. “Who’s who?” He showed you one of the pictures and you froze. “Oh, her...that’s Abigail. She’s my ex...” Mark was surprised. “You’re bi?” You nodded. “Why didn’t you ever tell me?” “I guess it just never came up. It’s not like I was hiding it from you.” “Well...I’m glad I know now. I like learning about you. Could you help me identify a few other people in this photo album?”
Jackson
Jackson dressed in a pair of rainbow shoes and a rainbow ball cap to show his support for pride week. You decided that, since you knew you could count on his full support, you would finally tell him your sexuality. “Jackson? I have to tell you something a little serious.” “Is everything okay? What’s wrong, jagi?” “Nothing’s wrong. It’s just...well, I’ve dated some other girls in the past. I’m bi.” “Oh, cool. So am I.” “You are?!” “For Mark, yes.”
Jinyoung
Jinyoung was tidying up your shared bedroom, when he decided to organize your jewelry box. You wasted so much time in the morning untangling the chain of the necklace you wanted to wear for the day, so Jinyoung couldn't think of a better way to spend his free time than to help you out. As he worked on untangling your jewelry, he noticed a heart locket he’d never seen before. Upon opening it, he saw two pictures, one picture was of you and another girl hugging, and the other picture was of you and that same girl kissing. His eyebrows raised as he examined the photos, then he closed the locket and left it to the side so it appeared untouched. He wanted you to tell him, to show that you trusted him with that part of your life. So, he would wait for you until you were ready and once you did tell him, he provided you with endless love and support.
Youngjae
You were getting married next year, you guessed that if you were ever going to tell your fiancé about your sexuality, you better make it fast. So, when making lists of people to invite to the wedding, you included your ex girlfriend. You hadn’t seen her for a while, but you ended on good terms and you were sure you could build a friendship now that so much time had gone by. Plus, you saw on her Facebook that she had a new girlfriend and was very happy. This was definitely a good time to confess. “Jagi, who’s this? I’ve never heard you mention someone named Sophia before.” He inquired as he read your guest list. “Ah, I’ve been meaning to tell you, she’s my ex girlfriend.” “Ex girlfriend? Girl friend?” “Girlfriend, we used to date.” You started to feel guilty at his shocked face. “I’m sorry I never told you. Please don't be upset...” “Oh, no! I’m not upset, just in wonder...I used to think I was the luckiest man on earth for getting a girl like you to fall in love with me. Now, I’m the luckiest person on earth!”
Bambam
Bambam was looking through your old yearbook, looking at pictures of you and reading what your friends wrote on the pages. One message caught his eye, one from a girl named Isabella saying she’d miss your kisses when you moved away. “Hey, y/n, who’s this girl who stole your kisses?” You walked over to see what he was referring to, and giggled once you saw him reading your old yearbook comments. “Oh, haha, that was probably Isabella. She...was my high school girlfriend.” “You like girls??” “And guys!” “Oh, good. Sometimes people tell me I look like a girl and, well...” He cleared his throat. “Good.”
