11. favourite type of music? rock (very broadly, i like fall out boy and day6 the most), kpop (i have a love hate relationship with it), whatever pop music sounds good to me (i currently really enjoy chappell roan), musical theatre

12. do you like puzzles? i like solving problems in general -- that's how i treat design and gifmaking. also i play stewardle and driverle (f1 wordle) regularly

14. favourite childhood sport? loved swimming and badminton as a kid...probably still count as a kid now so my current favourite sport to play is floorball

18. what movies do you adore? i'm so not a movies person...but movies ive watched more than once (an achievement) are the cars series (my favourite is cars 2), og avengers (my favourite mcu movie), age of ultron and civil war. also shoutout to spirited away, ponyo and howl's moving castle for having a special place in my heart. most recent movie i've watched is how to make millions before grandma dies and it was amazing i sobbed watching it. it's a thai movie but blew up so i went to check it out and it is incredible.

im gonna start posting fanfic recs btw whenever i find good ones. both here and my (awfully barren) 18+ account. because there are so many good fics out there with so few hits and fewer kudos and sometimes no comments period and it SUCKS because i REALLY LIKE THEM A LOT.. and i hope that by linking them here and yelling at everyone to COMMENT DAMMIT they might actually do it

seriously though any comment means a lot. most people who read a fic don’t even give a kudos. even if the fic wasn’t top tier, if you didn’t dislike it, hand over some kudos!! and if you liked it, comment!!!! even if the comment is one singular heart emoji it will be appreciated. if the comment just says “great fic!” the author will be happy. your comment doesn’t have to be this long winded gushing or analysis.

so many authors quit writing or lose motivation because the comments are few and far in between or just sometimes nonexistent. trust me when i say authors don’t care about how long or cool or smart sounding your comment is i promise!!!

i hope that mmmaybe recommending fics and telling people to comment might help fics i really like get more support maybe. and i, points at you reading this, hope that you will listen!!!at least a little….at least sum kudos….

Theory time on the whole "ADA member transfers to PM" deal and why I genuinely think this was part of Dazai's plan (loooong post):

Based on what we have, I actually think we can assume that Fukuzawa, Ranpo, Dazai, all of the higher ups in the PM, and the govt. are aware of the deal and that Dazai will go back. Here's why:

Prior to Fyodor's arrest, Dazai had been maintaining an essentially crimeless record (and if he does do something morally questionable, he either had government backing from Ango, or was done in a way that can't be pointed back to him).

However, before anything could progress in S4, Dazai purposely put himself out in public to get arrested. I'd even argue that he had Ango purposely release some of his old crimes rather than it being written on the ripped page of the book (and if it was actually written in the book, then Dazai must have anticipated it in the first place because he knows Fyodor would do that).

This idea is further cemented by the fact that Ango, Mori, and Chuuya are actually aware of what Dazai is doing (more than the ADA even). Dazai had contacts in and out of Mersault ready before his arrest.

To make these plans in the first place, Dazai had to have talked to (at least) Mori and Ango. This would have to be roughly around the same time as when Mori and Fukuzawa made a deal. What if all of this was just one meeting?

Because let's face it. Fukuzawa only saying "except Yosano" was such a red flag moment. If there was anyone Mori would have wanted back in his control, it would either be his angel of death or his demon prodigy. The conversation must not have ended there...

Also, why was this deal even created in the first place? I feel like there could have been a different agreement, and this just looks like an excuse to get Dazai to go back. Fukuzawa agreeing with this deal is weird because he knows what the PM is like. Why would he subject his employees to possibly experience working there?

Dazai may have actually purposely put himself up for the taking in preparation to a future enemy that needed him back in the PM- back in his hometurf with all the manpower he could command and to give soukoku the free reign they had once again (without the limitations of the law on Dazai).

So anyway, now we have Dazai with his crimes leaked, which would have been fine alone because it could be played off as part of what was written on the page, but then he kills some guards in Mersault and commits jailbreak, along with several other crimes in just 30 minutes. In addition, he is clearly shown to be working with Chuuya, a well-known criminal, who has also committed several crimes while there.

Say what you will about Mersault security (which is actually good but just couldn't keep the demons on hold lmao), but they would 100% have records of what Dazai had done there. Even if he could be considered crimeless before, he can no longer be called crimeless again now. His actions here are beyond the manipulations of the book. To have these crimes (in France) erased would require the government to have an agreement with another country and to have Dazai go into hiding for some time again (doable, but troublesome).

That leaves us to the fact that Dazai is back to willingly committing crimes and partnering up with Chuuya as Soukoku for an extended period of time. All of these acts are known to Mori and Ango.

This implies that the choice had been made prior to S4, and this is why Dazai could do all these crazy schemes.

This also clears up why Ranpo and Fukuzawa no longer consider Dazai in the ADA roster recently. Not because they don't care for him, but because he is secretly no longer part of the ADA in the first place, and Dazai's safety is now under the concern of the PM.

Scarily enough, this could also possibly set up Dazai as the next boss of the PM in preparation for the next big enemy. One thing some people in the fandom noticed was that Mori had mentioned before that Dazai would become the boss when he turns 23. This fits in the timeline well because Dazai is several months (or maybe even weeks) closer to his 23rd birthday (or he may already be 23 right now). All of this may have been pre-planned for longer than we think.

Also, as a personal opinion on the other possible transfer candidates, they actually have better hold on the ADA and would not function well in the PM.

The PM would clash with Kunikida's ideals (though it would be interesting to have the future leader of the ADA be put in the PM the same way the future leader of the PM was employed in the ADA)

Tanizaki would be a great candidate, especially for his skills (and it would be interesting to have another redhead in the PM hahaha), but I highly doubt Naomi would take his transfer sitting down (Naomi would probably even attempt to join the PM) and, in turn, Junichiro would hate to bring his sister in the PM as well. Tanizaki's entire shtick involves his care for his sister, and taking that away brings him back to having no motivation to go crazy.

Atsushi is actually my 2nd option. Moving Atsushi to the PM would make him learn more about how the PM functions, and this allows SSKK to spend more time building their relationship. Chuuya could watch over the two of them as an aide to Dazai's mentoring, and this could lead to more character growth for Atsushi. Unfortunately, this voids Atsushi's plans to learn how to fight under Kunikida's tutelage, and the "no killing" deal with Akutagawa slightly lessens its impact because they would now be in the criminal organization rather than the opposing one (I'd rather have Akutagawa join the ADA tbh. This would further cement the "no killing" idea that Atsushi demands of him and build the SSKK partnership.)

Kenji is also a good bet, but the PM already has Chuuya, which makes having Kenji redundant. Kyoka would not return without an all out brawl and would actually waste all the efforts from S2. Ranpo would be insufferable lmao, and he is not made for Mafia types of strategy (he's smart! But he is not here for the manipulation and long chess matches. He doesn't have the patience for that when he can get straight to the point), and I'm not sure who in the PM he would have synergy with yet...he works best as a detective.

NOW, I may be wrong, because who knows what Asagiri will pull on us, and all of this is based on what is shown (I'm not sure if we could trust it lol), but this is the theory I came up with based on my understanding of events. Dazai planned to go back, and the tripartite knows of it.

Before anyone says this is a waste of Dazai's character development, I'd argue that there may be a misconception as to what Dazai is actually here to learn.

Odasaku knows that good and evil does not matter to Dazai. Dazai choosing to save people is not Dazai's character growth because he has ALWAYS been capable of that despite his unconventional means. The real character growth that Dazai needed was that there was a world beyond the darkness that he insists on putting himself in, and that he is capable humanity. Mori realized this too by proving the humanity in Dazai by chasing him out with Odasaku's death. Dazai has also realized this, and is now ready to return to his hellhole as a new man touched by the light. He is ready to be a leader, not the tyrant that he would have been without this lesson. Mori just prevented another insane mafia boss from taking the throne.

In addition, the PM has repeatedly been defined as the organization that protects the city in the dark. Being in the PM does not hinder Dazai from saving people (again, they've done so before while there). This might actually give him more power to move around and defend Yokohama more efficiently.

I guess this is it for now. I may have missed some things, but these are my main arguments for now hehe

nico is pretty indifferent to holidays, it's a day just like any other to them. but they can see the appeal, objectively. so they do participate in activities if prompted to do so (amur). but they HATE the cold (it's almost like it killed their mom, their dad AND their sisters😹😹) so they tend to bundle themselves AND their friends up before going outside if they can't just stay indoors

agatha never really experienced holidays for herself back when she was a kid, but she's always been envious of the other children running around and having fun... which is why she’s very eager to celebrate now! she'll try out anything she can get her hands on, she does end up being a little bit of a try-hard but she's lazy usually so this is a somewhat positive change. anyway, she's having fun so it's alright

cue amur dragging her friends to go out and play! she loooves holidays! whether it's on land or underwater, she doesn’t care at! all! holidays are holidays and they're theeeee beeeeest, though she enjoys going out (for like, snowball fights and the likes. yes she does this the second it starts to get cold, even when it's not anywhere near the holidays yet), she also loves decorating christmas trees, it's the artist in her! (the tree looks AWFUL, but no one has the heart to tell her so. she proceeds to decorate the trees of everyone in the vicinity, she has to be stopped before she goes decorating all the trees in the forest nearby as well)

siyun sleeps in. big deal for someone who's usually up and about by 5 am. MORE SERIOUSLY, uhhh siyun sorta dislikes holidays. well it's more of a numb feeling than full on dislike, but it's definitely not love and not quite indifference. holidays weren't particularly good news back in their world either, but they usually powered through it with a smile ("hey! i managed to live long enough to see these lights fifteen years in a row! lol"). holidays were a handy way to locate themselves on the calendar, but things are different in twisted wonderland. they're lost and they have no idea how to get back on track, which greatly bothers them and their mild appreciation for holidays considerably soured (they did manage to get out of bed by 10 am and trudge through the day with their friends back on earth, give it another hour or two in twisted wonderland)

FUTURE

flos likes holidays! she tends to gravitate towards mer festive customs (??? i'll find something later) but she's a simple girl and if her friends wanna do something else then she doesn't mind! but do NOT expect her to do everything the right way, she WILL build a gingerbread house with 90% icing and 5% gingerbread (she ate the other 5%). part of her doesn’t really know what to do and is winging it, the remaining half of her just finds it funny

Hehe hiii here to answer your question! Here's what I mentioned about it in the chapter, just to do a small recap.

Apprentices can be like TA’s. Either they’re trying to get an extra study in, get tutelage under a specific teacher’s expertise for their own study, want to become a teacher for that specific class and or become an official teacher’s assistant.

Apparently the boy was really into spell research, and he was good with defensive magic and attacking magic. He was considering going into dueling, and maybe doing an apprenticeship under Filius next year for it. Since the dueling environment was competitive and strict he needed more experience. But it wasn’t the only thing he was considering doing, the kid was so very ambitious.

He wanted help developing, researching and making spells. He wanted to help tutor the younger students or take over classes, not first years, Kent admitted that younger kids were oftentimes a bit intimidated by him so he’d rather work with second or third years. He also confessed he felt a bit terrified to be an adult influence on small kids like that, and second and third years weren’t so green eared, and most would at least be a bit familiar with him now. He wanted to see if he could get extra credit for university so that if he settled on going there first he’d at least have what he needed for it.

This was all on Apprenticeships, which kinda lets it show it's literally whatever the student needs it to be. It's an extra year someone can choose to do to either study more on the subject from a specific teacher, get more knowledge in, get points for doing it for uni, helping them with their own independent research, or becoming a TA/get experience in teaching in case they want to become a professor in the chosen subject. Apprenticeships are discussed between the professor and the student and made into whatever is needed, hence why Dakota had to sit down with Kent for an entire year syllabus and why its still flexible in case the student changes their mind on what they need! They get two hours a week to sit down with a professor to do what is needed and then have their own schedule, some people take classes at uni, some use that time to research on their own or work on their own projects, or just do TA stuff. This wasn't really something mentioned in canon, I think at least haha. Further changes! Well,, I can't spoil much but there IS an extra class (and a future one hehe but not relevant right now) based on helping every first year with getting familair with the wizarding world, its laws and stuff like that. This gets optional AFTER the first year. More on the introduction class! Mentioned in chapter 10 I believe.

He thinks he remembers someone mentioning there was an introduction guide class to wizarding society? But it was open to all houses and mainly for first years? He’s not sure. He doesn’t remember it from canon, and Tom certainly didn’t seem to know about it. Maybe it was a newer class? If it even was a class. Someone definitely mentioned it, but he doesn’t quite remember when, so it was probably at one of the breakfast’s he had attended and before he had his coffee.  He thinks he remembers it was someone’s job? It wasn’t his and that’s all he knew about it.

There was a lot of shifted education because of everything, almost all students went into apprenticeships to get where they needed to go. University was for those who wanted to have a mastery in a subject, not necessarily work in the field. Magical universities were also open to the world, most British students went abroad to study in the university suited to their chosen mastery. 

Which yeah we got uni's! Sooo fun hehe. Uni's really for mastering stuff. Hogwarts is right now too underfunded to get any more classes unfortunatly </3 but that's also kinda why Apprenticeships and uni's exist! Apprenticeships also exist outside of Hogwarts! Not that Dakota knows that XD but it's very common! Any student can ask anyone who is a master at their craft to study under them for a specified amount of time, unfortunatly this doesn't mean that the person would accept. This is why Apprenticeships are more common at Hogwarts! Since the professors don't really refuse any students that want one. It's still not very common for students to chose a Apprenticeships at Hogwarts though, most people immediatly dive to whatever job they want or directly go to uni abroad. Or other boring things I won't mention :D
