huh? sjkdlfds you might be mixing it up with my thoughts on fictional couples but i'll just clear up both in case

i don't really care when real life people date someone from another race like it's literally fine??? just as long as no raceplay, speaking over other communities or fetishises follow then i genuinely don't care

but as for fictional couples, i don't necessarily mind it as there are many that work - my issue is that there are way more interracial couples featuring a white person than there are without, especially for south asian characters, and especially for gay ones (they have it the worst actually </3)

even the couples who don't even need a 10/10 actor to play the partner still have a white person there (anwar and nick come to mind) and it's just a very annoying pattern like why does interracial always = white + poc and not black + brown

Ok my sins are keeping me up late at night so of course I'm going to post about ysblf. I am not a fic writer, actually I'm not a writer of any kind other than bad, but I really wish I could come up with a storyline in which Armando and Betty develop a somewhat healthy relationship, or at least one in which they get together without having gone through the ordeal of seducing/getting used. I'd love to talk about some neato things I got to draw in the comic! Spoiler warning for some contents below! If you haven't read anything yet, come back after reading the comic!

Let's start off with the cover thumbnails! I was more inclined to do A since it wouldn't spoil the big surprise Orbot and Cubot had in store! Otherwise I probably would've gone with B or D! It has that bombastic party sort of feel that I think would've been super fitting!

Here, Eggman is temporarily staying at one of his many bases throughout the world after the collapse of his Eggperial city! This base is inspired by Industria from Future Boy Conan and a bit of Eggmanland!

He also sure loves his chicken and fries!

A little beachside balcony in Green hill! I felt like we generally don't get structures there as much so I thought it'd be a nice addition!

The design on the floor is the stage from the JP Sonic X intro! It gets covered up by snow after but still neat to include!

Look at this magnificent cast of characters! I wanted to use the poses that each pair had when they were first seen together! I'd considered giving Big his winning animation pose from SA1 but alas no space haha!

Cubot's taped on eye brow gag was one I suggested and it's a reference to the same gag from FLCL!

Lil sonic team logo Iasmin asked for! Sonic sure knows to appreciate himself! Good on him.

I drew the comic with some influence from Sonic X because of that. I think the most telling detail fans might notice is the constant 3 spines for Sonic.

Looking back, i think one the things that brought the hater out of me the most during qsmp (regarding the players themselves and the story) was how so many decisions made, and arguments defended, based on ooc criteria.

Like, ok. I love bagi. I adore bagi. I recite prayers for bagi every night before i sleep. I am not saying bagi — or anyone else that wouldve been invited if other ppl won — shouldnt have been invited to the qsmp. But my GOD the opportunity for the election winner to chooses someone to send to what's essentially an open air PRISION is insane to me. No islander fucking WANTS to be there so WHYYYYY would they subject a loved one to the SAME TORTURE??????? (except like bbh inviting skeppy cuz whatever they have going on is kinda weird and they're both old as fuck so who cares)

It is a fun decision out of the rp. It gives the players a nice prize if they manage to win. And it could've stayed at that, an ooc prize. But NO they had to mention it canonically. More then once. So much that some players (cof cof) argued bbh shouldnt win bc he would invite skeppy in a non democratic way. That was a CANNON ARGUMENT. MADE BY A PLAYER.

I cant stress how much i hate this decision. I can't stress how much i adored the story and these little things broke the immersion so much for me.

How did NO ONE go against inviting someone to basically be a little lab rat???????? Not even like cellbit. Or baghera. Or anyone else.

The mods thing is less insane. Also very ooc, but not as infuriating in lore, bc it is just a fun decision thing and not like,, idk, choosing a friend to send to an open air torture house. Still broke the immersion for me a lot tho.

And now with fucking purgatory. Oh god.

This time it wasnt even Qstudios' fault (which sounds insane considering,, well, the array of poorly analyzed decisions). It was the fault some of the players that decided that "in meta this doesnt make sense!!!!! they wouldnt do this!!!" is a valid argument to bring into an IN CHARACTER DISCUSSION.

All the things tubbo said abt the cursed team were in character. All his arguments were perfectly cohesive w the things qtubbo was supposed to know, and all the times he talked to them he was playing the character. Just for them to reply w "i think ur wrong bc qstudios wouldnt do this in meta bc there HAS to be a winner"

NO THERE DOESN'T????????? Purgatory was a poorly planned and poorly executed event that id argue shouldve never existed but oh my GOD.

This is gonna sound corny but if you look at the cursed team in a completely meta perspective, the objective wouldve been very clear — force the teams to unite so that the cursed team would win (remember that if the cursed team won they could get all the eggs back instead of only 1) .

The moral here wouldve been that friendship is magic ✨ (< sorry)

And to be honest, that would've been a much more tolerable event. I wont elaborate; u all know why.

Idk if qstudios shouldve been more clear abt it, or even if they thought as far as i did — considering, well, everything that we know today. I just think not listening to someone saying things w proof bc "in meta they wouldnt do that" is dumb and breaks the immersion so much for me.

They couldve discussed it like that in their ooc convos. But they did it during rp and thats what i dont like.

Anyways sorry for this rant i woke up a hater today,, i hope this makes even a little bit of sense. Also this is not a hate to the ccs, still adore (most of) them. Sometimes ppl make mistakes and thats totally ok!!!!!!! Regarding the elections i think it was mostly a poor decision and direction from qstudios then the players' fault. Purgatory was the players themselves (in this specific case) tho..

Since Jax convinced her to come back to the party, Emily had to admit she was having a good time. Her and Jax sat at the bar surrounded by his brothers all telling stories in their drunken stupour. Jax's hand never left her as she sat on the stool next to him, moving between her thigh, hip or around her shoulders. She had to admit that it was nice. His warmth radiating through her. "Hey Jax." Emily watched as the young blonde barely clothed woman draped herself over him. She kicked herself mentally when she felt it. The stomach punch. She barely knew him. And as much as she would've liked to pull the ditzy blonde by her bottle bleached hair and smash her face into the bar top for touching him, she had no right to. Turning back to the rest of the boys she tried to ignore them both. Making eye contact with Opie, she was greatful for the smile he threw her way. "So you've obviously got some amazing ink lass! What about your piercings?" Chibs asked and Emily was grateful for the distraction. "Oh well I have a few! I have all the ones you can see on my ears." Turning her head from side to side Emily pointed to the colourful additions. "I have the hoop in my nose, did have a septum but I don't wear it anymore. I did also have snakebites in my lips but took them out." Poking out her tounge she showed them the pink pill tounge bar she had in. "Best thing about this tongue bar? It vibrates!" She grinned and threw a wink at happy. "Other than that I just have my belly and my nipples." Halfsack leaned on the bar, staring at Emily. "I think I'm in love." Opie shoved him, rolling his eyes. "Ignore the perv." Emily laughed, they really were amazing people. If you were accepted into the fold they made sure you felt welcome. "So are you some weird chick that likes the pain?" Happy questioned her and Emily couldn't help but laugh. "Nah I'm a little bitch when it comes to needles. Tattoos I'm fine with but piercings? I have to build myself up to get them." Feeling an arm being thrown around her shoulder and smelling the familiar perfume, Emily knew Cara was back. "Yeah! You should've seen her for her nipples! First one took it like a champ. 2nd one? She screamed blue bloody murder. Shouting about her soul leaving her body and that she was scared her titty was gonna fall off!" Emily could feel her cheeks tinge pink at Cara's words. Turning to face her friend who's lips were obviously swollen and the messy sex hair gave clear answer as to what she'd been up to, Emily grinned as she heard the men around her laugh. "Okay! It hurt like a motherfucker! And it was damn cold in that room topless. Asshole didn't even put the heating on!" Cara rolled her eyes at Emily, leaning forward to grab a drink. "Their sexy as fuck tho. The difference after - mind blowing." Cara widened her eyes nodded her head to emphasise her point. Emily rolled her eyes gently shoving Cara. "Juice level Mind blowing?" Cara shook her head grinning wide as she leaned over the bar top. "I have so many details to give you later Em! You wouldn't believe." Emily laughed at her sex drunk friend. She had a feeling juice would be making a regular appearance while Cara was here.

Glancing to her side, Emily watched a frustrated Jax still arguing with the blonde girl. He hadnt moved from his seat next to her and somehow that managed to wind the blonde up even more. Emily tried to give them privacy talking with the other guys and Cara but the girl was growing louder and louder. "You haven't saw me in weeks. It's like your not interested in me at all since that new bitch came around." The girl flung her arm in Emily's direction, fully starting to have a tantrum. Emily prayed silently to a god she didn't believe in that this wouldn't be another fight. Jax was none of her business. Turning her head to look around the busy party, Emily tried to tune out the argument. Cara and the guys were now deep in convosation. Crow eaters lined the walls chatting to one another, others hung over men as they sat and drank their beers. They definately had a weird family dynamic but for the most part it was nice. Everyone was taken care of, all one big dysfucntional family. It wasn't long before Emily made eye contact with Gemma as she leaned against one of the walls, Clay sat on a chair infront of her. Gemmas arms draped over his shoulders lovingly staking her claim. There was something in Gemmas eyes that didn't sit well with Emily but she couldn't quite pin point exactly why.

The sound of a loud smack made Emily's head turn fast. Her eyes widened in shock as they landed on a pissed Jax, now with a clear red hand mark on his face. Anger filled her chest and was probably clear to see on her face. Emily stood up stepping between Jax and the angry woman, as she saw her hand pull back to go for a second hit. " Okay. You had your one hit your not getting another." Emily stared down the woman infront of her. "Oh so your new bitch protecting you now?" The blonde spat over Emily's shoulder towards Jax. "Enough. You've said your piece, you've had your smack. Leave." The girl scoffed in Emily's face, making anger boil in her stomach. "You think I'm taking orders from his new whore?" Emily could feel the redness creep up her neck for the second time that night. "Look, you and half of charming know what kind of man he is. You fooled yourself thinking you could be the one to change him. Don't worry sweetie, we've all done it. Falling in love with the bad boy, convinced he'll love you and change his ways. But he hasn't. And he won't. Like I said, you've had your tantrum, you've had your 1 slap. Take the L and walk out gracefully." Emily stepped forward so she was toe to toe with the girl. "Because if you don't I'm going to drag you out of here by your cheap ass extensions. You see, I'm not the kind of girl to sit by and ignore when someone's clearly being harassed. No means no. Regardless of gender. And I heard him say no and ask you to leave multiple times." Emily grinned wide, her anger still high. " So what you choosing sweetie? You walking yourself out or am i gonna have to give you a hand?" The girl was clearly thinking over her options as she rolled her eyes and stayed silent. Emily didn't move a muscle, maintaining eye contact to show this bitch she wasn't backing down. "whatever. He ain't all that any way." The girl scoffed again, looking Emily up and down. "Yeah you keep telling yourself that, sweetie. Just remember it wasn't him stood openly begging you for a scrap of attention. Take yourself home, get some self respect and learn that when someone says no it means fucking no!" Emily shouted back at the scorned blonde as she stomped her way out of the clubhouse. Silence fell in across the room, everyone eyeing her, but Emily didn't give a shit.

Turning around to a shocked and silent Jax, Emily placed her hand on his red cheek, checking for any damage. "Her nails caught you abit but there's not much blood. You'll be fine Teller." Smiling at him, she slipped back into her seat as the music and chatter of the clubhouse started back up again. Emily felt better once everyone's eyes were off her, her stomach not twisting in anger anymore. Part of her really enjoyed how easy she slipped back into convosation with the guys, finding comfort in the laughs and banter. Jax's hand finding it's place on her thigh again causing the already familiar sparks to shoot up her spine.

What Emily didn't see though was the look Gemma and Clay shared as they watched the interaction unfold, and how easily Jax melted into her after. Something about that moment made Gemma realise Emily was going to become a permanent fixture around their family, even if Jax and Emily didn't yet.

First of all, everything you listed has struck my fancy and I would absolutely read every one of them. Which, that means I'd probably be thrown in prison, too. It wont be too bad. We could make toilet wine together and ramble about Durgtash.

Anyway, one in particular caught my eye.

I'm intrigued. How would they have known each other? If you don't mind sharing, that is.

They would've met in Baldur's Gate, the Dark Urge perhaps looking for murder victims, and Astarion looking for Cazador sacrifices. Maybe skated by each other a few times, watched each other very carefully, a predator recognizing a predator. Maybe struck up an odd friendship, a passing acquaintance. They end up revealing, bit by bit, how they're both beholden to masters who call them extensions of themselves and not real people.

But then it's not just pre tadpole era. Itd be interspersed with the present too.

It would've been like...

Astarion remembers the Dark Urge after the nautiloid crash and pretends he doesn't. Because he's trying to maintain the upper hand. But slowly, as he bonds with the amnesiac Dark Urge, he starts accidentally revealing that he knows about their past.

And then the big drama is, maybe they're being nice, in this hypothetical redeemed dark urge run, and he's frustrated and irritable because he's like, you were a monster before. Why the change now? When we could actually use someone as ruthless and powerful as you?

But it'd be basically them bonding over... redemption.

Becoming better people than they were before. The Dark Urge becoming good and dragging Astarion with them.

Also Astarion maybe doesn't trust the Dark Urge because he thinks they're only pretending not to have their memories at first. And it leads to misunderstandings.

As a Gustav lover I recognize he's a bad father for Alfonse, no matter what one may create for Gustav story and AU all we have is what FEH wanted to show us and what we saw is that he's not a good father

While I understand wanting to put something of Gustav in Alfonse brave alt it didn't had to be all of it, even on a historical level heirs would get the most important parts of their father outfit that were recognized as iconic for the crown and king (expect it was a full armor but Gustav never had that) I would've preferred of they gave Alfonse Gustav fur coat and chest plate which I think we're the ones passed down to generation

They could've done a lot and take inspiration from different characters and mash them together not just his father, I mean it didn't hurted if his lower half resembled Bruno clothes or even his mask somewhere. Alfonse has many characters linked to him and it's a shame FEH doesn't do anything with it

Also I kinda wished they would've given us an adult Alfonse or one from the future? Technically base Alfonse isn't an hero and hasn't done anything yet to deserve that title. It would've been nice if they gave us an Alfonse that got crowned as king after all the wars and all because THEN he would be recognized as a hero

Also give him back his sword he didn't trained all his life in swordsmanship just to throw it away for his father axe that only he could use because Gustav is a bear of a man

ok guys i finished the poppy war wtf. i feel so hollow right now. i feel so... unsatisfied by the ending but not necessary in a bad way??? i have to read the other books and see what happens but at the same time it feels so hopeless and i dont approve of rin as a main character anymore (tho i am aware that it doesnt matter whether i "approve" of her or not) but i will still definitely read the other books bc i loved the book overall. i just think that the storyline rn is very... surreal?

i NEED TO KNOW what the fuck happened to nezha bc i just know that rf kuang has smtg cooking for him. my personal theory is that he didnt die from the gas bc he secretly is connected to the god of healing (hence why his spine healed so fast and enki speculated abt his dragon insigna) and so hes alive and maybe imprisoned? maybe he was sent to a science lab to, or he somehow ran away, or he pretended to join forces?? idrk but im sure that hes alive and its got to do with his dragon insignia

im so sad that everybody from sineguard died/isnt in the story anymore (other than kitayyyyyy thank god. im so glad he reappeared) bc i tbh dont feel much of an attachment toward the cike members 😭 like idk i love Qara and Chaghan but the others are eh to me, like i would trade their presence for Irjah's or Raban or Niang or EVEN JUN 😭 tho im just being sentimental, i dont actually mean it. (tho i would like to see a jun reappearance and redemption...)

oh btw i think i rate this a 4/5 star read

my criticisms are as such:

- the middle part where they kept losing was very dreary (tho i imagine kuang was trying to make it seem desperate/devastating and tense, it was just droll to read tbh).

- the sudden reconciliation between nezha and rin felt very unnatural (like i understand the feeling of "who cares abt our petty rivalry when theres literally a whole ass war happening?" but then again, this is just fiction and it wouldve been nice to read their familiar banter- or at least have it dragged out a bit before the reconciliation). i feel like it was just very unnatural, unless.... unless nezha fell in love with Rin when she erupted into flames at sineguard???? if THAT happened then i feel like the reconciliation would make alot more sense bc when nezha came to khurdalain it was like he was desperate to make Rin like him/forgive him ???

- a few things were pretty predictable. it was pretty obvious that Jiang was the gatekeeper, which was disappointing because if that was a little less obvious, i feel like the scene were Rin and Altam discover Jiang in the Stone Mountain would've had a bigger emotional impact on the reader (me)

though here are the things i liked:

- Rin at the first half of the book was the best mc everrrr

- Kitay. i have nothing wrong with Kitay. he's my favourite for sure

- Jiang's style of teaching (i loved how they just conversed and would come to nonsensical philosphical questions that made Rin frustrated but made Jiang delighted. eg "Why do people dream what they dream?")

- the way Kuang described the god realm vs the human realm. it was all very believable and assured. it wasn't vague at all, in my opinion. theres ofc alot of questions abt the different planes still, but the genius of it is that she wrote about it in a way that assured that it was normal to have questions, and even more normal to not get answers for them, and that we should just accept it (idk, thats the vibe i was getting. like, she didnt say "just believe it" as an excuse for lazy writing, she said "just believe it" because, well, just believe it.)

i think there was a comparison of tcf and tged here but atleast in tged og lloyd's parents still notice their son is not their actual son, unlike cale's family who were glad he just simply become non trash (this was the most upsetting when i read here that arcos and marbella noticed but cale's did not or even the butlers), a non family member didn't wish or say that it was great that og lloyd was replaced by someone else even if that someone is more helpful to the county, unlike alberu who was glad that cale got replaced, and another atleast suho plans to tell the truth to lloyd's parents unlike with rok soo to cale's parents who accepted he is cale (but then again og cale did request to accept the body they are in as who they are actually are)

i feel like i got a bunch of spoilers shoved down my throat but i have no context to them so no harm done ajshdksfd

i have no idea how fair it is to compare tged to tcf, they're two different pieces of media with their own themes, plots and characters going on and different people like different things. that's fine. i just personally disliked that people kept comparing my blorbo to their blorbo to make theirs look better. i don't want to the same thing! that's not very nice!

so i'm just gonna talk about what i do know which is the way tged treated og lloyd! i've read a bunch of isekai stories and it's rare the times the og characters are taken into account or even acknowledged so i was pleasantly surprised with how much focus tged put on the fact that suho did take someone's place, he did lie to his family and he did pretend to be someone he wasn't. and he feels genuinely sorry about it. he doesn't justify it by thinking he's better than og lloyd anyway so no harm done. he genuinely wants to apologize and make it right and he wants to do it at the right moment.

and then when the people around him find out the truth, they're not,,, happy about it. they don't think it was for the best or that og lloyd got what he deserved or that they're glad for it.

javier is the closest thing we get to something like that and even then he's genuinely torn about what he should do with the information. he hated og lloyd, absolutely despised the guy's guts, but even then he's not glad that he got replaced even when he acknowledges the new lloyd is hardworking, constructive and reliable. he doesn't know where his loyalties should lie and he's "filled with anguish" as he tries to decide what to do.

it would've been very easy for bk moon to just go "yeah he doesn't care that the son of the family he swore to protect got replaced by a stranger that's been lying to him for years" like, ahem, some other people would have, but instead he took the time to acknowledge that "hey, this is a genuinely fucked up situation, there's no right answer here, anyway you slice it someone will get hurt and the only way to move forward is to minimize the damage and make amends to the people who were hurt".

which is nice to see in an isekai! even tho og lloyd was absolute human garbage the narrative didn't dismiss him as a person and instead acknowledge that while it wasn't lloyd's fault there was still a someone being hurt by the fact he possessed a body that wasn't his.

and then when his parents find out they genuinely mourn the child they lost. there's no happiness, no joy, not even relief at being rid of a constant source of worry and disappointed. they're so... sad and heartbroken about their son being gone. even while they accept lloyd as their kid, even as much as they come to love him, there is no moment where they express any kind of pleasure about him replacing og lloyd. rather you get the sensation that they wish they could've had both of them at the same time, that they wish one hadn't come at the price of the other, that they love both of them so, so much even as different as they are.

the only one who doesn't express any kind of regret or sadness about og lloyd is julian which... honestly, it's very earned. no one should be forced to mourn their abuser, which exactly what og lloyd was to julian. if julian had expressed sadness over og lloyd that would've been his right, but the fact that he never did, at least not on-screen shouldn't be held against him, considering the amount of hurt og lloyd caused him.

so yeah! i really like the way bk moon handled this aspect of the story! again, i don't know how tcf works or what happens on it and at this point i'm not really interested in knowing! i'm sure it did its own thing and that it was great too!

Okay I know I keep calling Macky all smol and cute and shy and he lowkey gives off those vibes, but his actual stated issue was not having the confidence to put his foot down and state his opinions in a way that everyone would listen. He never raised his voice and just was that person surrounded by so many people, yet still alone and cut off from the group, just following along with the one who was more extroverted and captured everybody's attention. Anyways, this is all to say that for so long we kept thinking Macky always runs, I mean everybody says it. Even Peng. Present day Macky uses his shadows to intimidate, but apparently he wasn't using his shadow form to scare people back then. I find myself wondering if the reason he talked to MK about making your own decisions...it doesn't quite cleanly match up with the War on Heaven. Like, if he was like "yeah I don't like this. Y'all have fun tho." That doesn't erase the consequences, and the issue was speaking up. I get it means "stop always following Wukong wherever he goes" but that ALSO doesn't erase other *hypothetical issues* on how the Brotherhood and Wukong would react. (Something I'm still concerned about bc how DID they react when he ditched them? That scene Tang sees with Azure had a dark, oppressive aura. Between that and Macky's opposition over Camel Ridge, Peng implying he knows how to sniff Macky down. I am concern.)

Maybe if he said he was backing out, Wukong would've been surprised enough to listen, but insistent, and if they kept going, and Macky really stood his ground, he may even have doubts. But then Azure and Co. could just as well reel him back in and create a nice juicy conflict of loyalties, but point is. What if it wasn't Macky's decision to run? Cowardly maybe, but he always came back. He's always been loyal. Is the person he was in the past the kind to make ruthless choices like some army generalfleeing for the greater good, cutting their losses to try again? I mean honestly, leaving Wukong? What he's GREAT at is never telling Wukong the real story. Never defending himself when people accuse him of anything. Even now he doesn't answer to the "what about you- you just come back?"It would not surprise me if the answer to "cause normally you just rush to my rescue" wasn't just a matter of falling into the trap of thinking Wukong was too strong to need help, he never put up an image of that, wanting to be the strongest, but also a matter of "I'm sorry I couldn't, I was ordered to retreat." The Warrior always listens to the most commanding presence in the room. Never making his own choices. Thinking of Option A and Option B, never seeing he could have an Option C. And it's all deliciously wrapped up in the horrors of how, sincerely, getting punished alongside Wukong, he would not survive the furnace, (if kept in LMK) how this time, while Wukong's jab was right, it had an unfortunate extra layer of an additional factor between the two bread slices of Macky's communication issues.And the tasty angst of "everytime Macky chooses to rescue Wukong, it's to make up for what he couldn't do before even if he complains." "...there was nothing that could stop the two of them. Not on Earth or the Celestial Realm..." Except for the Jade Emperor. I need to know his thoughts behind this still. We know he cares enough to do stupid things for Wukong, now. And enough to leave the Brotherhood because he still had faith in him despite their fight. Still loved him, despite the "I never want to see you here again!" Question is, that enough for, in that singular moment where retreat seems to be the only option less they fall too, to ask. "What? We can't leave Wukong! You're the ones to came to our mountain to ask him to be your king! Everything he did was for you!" <-- evil parallel dialogue ^_^ <- also guy who doesn't realize Wukong meant it when he said "us" it did include him, and it wasn't just to get strong for the heck of it. <-- pairs nicely with guy who doesn't realize his friend thought he was already enough. "It doesn't always have to be you, he needs to know it's not all on him-" Wow, that history sure do be repeating.

i personally hop between the “the Brotherhood fled the second Wukong had his back to the wall and deemed him a failed weapon, but Wukong only saw Mac leave” and “Mac, already not on board with the plan, left the moment he was surrounded by celestial troops he could not overpower”

and both still fit with Macky’s whole “i never gave myself a chance to really choose my path and stand my ground, believing there was an inevitable one i was meant to follow”

he is a fun character to study because a lot of his actions s1-3 is him still upset that his path isn’t up to him. and then we get to s4, Macky finds his previous belief shaken and thrown out the window no thanks to MK, and he finally realizes that he never needed to follow the predestined path. all the choices and lines carved for him that he felt he could not escape in the past, were ones he did not need to abide by despite how much it felt like he should. he saw, first hand, MK shatter LBD’s well-ironed destiny because he refused to be beaten into submission into choices he did not like

and he is able to help work MK through that as well (in future seasons) and drag him out of his learned helplessness. also, how his teachings with MK complement Wukong’s??? how we see the same message repeated by Wukong in 5x03 but in a slightly different way. this just proves to me that shadowpeach mentorship is real and where both monkeys will fall, teaching MK from their learned mistakes and strengthening hi resolve

I love love LOVED your piece for the tea toast & ghosts zine – what was your experience in planning and creating it? was it a challenge to combine both art and writing, and did your art influence your writing or vice versa? if im being honest i wanted to write an article from the very beginning, it was the overall idea that was ever changing but eventually i found it. since TTG zine's topic was your favourite thing about l&co, and i had no idea how to incorporate skullyle and it was too much work to come up with technical parts of ghost-lamps (tho i did dive deep into street lights' wiring at one point), i figured i'd stick to my favourite thing of all - worldbuilding and dark stuff!

The Idea™, at first, was to come up with a few cases and illustrate them, but the longer i rotated those the more i didn't like the prospect of making something separate and not rooted into canon. so i skimmed through the books while looking for any mentions of Fittes and Rotwell cases, since back then i already decided to use the Mud Lane Phantom's story. the other two i took are from TSS and THB and they were vague enough to be able to lengthen them to an article entry.

i outlined ideas first, what themes i wanted to convey, what i wanted to put out there for fans and how these cases would've work with each other. from the that point i started drawing the illustrations. quite a backwards process. and it all sounds good on paper but in reality irl struggles really weren't making me any favours and i wasn't meeting deadlines at all, but mods team was patient and understanding with me, they are literally the best!

for Mud Lane i went for slight mockery of pioneers because, well, yeah. there was quite a lot of made up lore that i decided to cast aside (like what if "today" at the crossroad there's a statue of Fittes and Rotwell? a museum? a tourist attraction? a gift shop?). overall im just really proud of illustration that i did, i should draw more of Marissa and Tom at some point.

fun fact and easter egg of sorts: Marissa's pose was supposed to be an homage to first poster of the series and the way Lucy stands in it! i think it got lost along the way as i changed the pose but i think it's still readable enough. i love drawing parallels between the two (:

picking one case set 50 years before the others ment that i'd have to contrast them, draw a parallel and make them work against each other to bring up the best and the worst. The Shoreditch one was, admittedly, more of that coming up with something that wasn't there in the first place. first book only mentioned patrols and i latched onto them. (plus i was drafting it at around the same time as l&co bigbang came out and i was massively inspired by my teammates work which incorporated those patrols but in metro tunnels. great case-fic btw). mainly i went for darker aspects of agent's work there, thinking that to fit in sewers the team would've been of smaller children, and that Kipps (yeah, he's there in illustration) would be as close to them as possible, unlike other inspectors we are used to seeing.

Holland Park Hounds was the one that i was the most excited for because wdym we as a fandom don't talk about possible animal-ghosts?? sure, it could've been Changer(s) but is it really? plus how badass of Holly to be part of it AND it was famous enough that Lucy knew of it as well!

innitially i wanted to do something about a horse-phantom that was mentioned somewhere but for the life of me i couldn't find it in books, so i'll leave it for my next reread. but this case has so much more ties to the main gang and especially Holly herself. i really wanted to draw a picture of her and her team after the case but no composition really worked so i kept it to park's plan (my urban planer friend said it looked good even). plus giving a plan and thorough haunting information somehow felt very Rotwell to me.

aaand i think that's it! not much to say for back cover only that my friend really disliked my choice of comic sans for one of the adverts. and that i wanted to make it gritty, as if its a wall right around the corner of the Fittes ball court.

you're dating by this point but i def think you supported the boys re. grammys beforehand too - when gyat was nominated a few years ago, you posted a congratulatory message on your story like "glad to see i'm not the only person recognising my best friend's genius anymore. proud of u, legend", and matty gets all giggly in the studio when he looks at it lol. anyway, back to present day. you get a bit shady with it, actually, and repost the album nominations infographic like "weird, the album i want to win doesn't seem to be listed, for some reason... boygenius or lana to take it, then, imo. unless this is just a misprint (and i really hope it is tbh)". matty smiles and thanks you when he sees it, and gives you a massive hug, but he's like "you might get some flack for that, babe, just to say"; you shrug and say "couldn't not say something about it, matty. it's your best writing yet. it deserves awards!", and he's like "means a lot to hear you say that, darling. i'll take your praise of my writing over a grammy any day. but a nomination would've been nice, yeah". happily, he does cheer up later that night - some rat dms you on insta like "funny how you only started protesting their lack of nominations when an album written partially about you got fuck all. narcissistic bitch", and you screenshot it and post it to stories like "i mean there are songs about me on every album except self titled, sweetie, but sure yeah ok believe whatever you like. while you do that, i'll just mourn the lack of nomination for the band's best writing and sense of cohesion and production and performance to date in peace" and then add another text box like "and this is all i'm saying on the matter. anyway, like i said, lana or boygenius to win instead x". your boyfriend laughs in slight shock when he first reads it, and then he cannot stop beaming; he's like "that's such a fucking good response. i love when you get all smart and confrontational on my behalf like that, sweetheart. s'hot" lol. he is such a BOY. cute tho <3

if my fic wasn't trying to stick to canon, toji would've been the one in naoaki's shoes. WOULD HE HAD DONE ALL OF THOSE THINGS? nope, here is what I think would've gone down tho: (mentions of abuse, sa. proceed with caution)

he would've approached you, as it happened originally. toji has been keeping an eye on you for a while now, who hasn't? you're like a celebrity at the estate.

however, he's not as... nice as naoaki. there isn't any compassionate approaches or whatever, toji kind of pities you and not in the good sense. you don't really approach him either, he's scary, and you think he's actually meaner by all the things he tells you so you try to avoid him whenever possible.

yet, the two still hang with one another. i mean, he gets to eat some of the nice stuff your staff brings you. he's not going to let that pass!! and he's also part of the few people that are around you and treat you like a human being.

something will happen between the two that will evoke some sense of empathy from him; idk what, maybe he sees you being berated, maybe he sees naoya abuse you. (if you want to get real angsty, he hears naoya r word you.)

but it's safe to say that it's something that has you completely desolated and that pushes him to attempt to comfort you; you're unwittingly moved by his gesture and you begin to open up to him.

the two get along more and more, to the point where you get to see the human side of him, as well as all the horrors that plagued the zen'in—how they branched out to those of their own blood, regardless of what status they considered them.

the sweetest moment between the two would have to be you touching the scar on his lip, and him leaning into your touch. (yeah, we still have the dubious romance haha HOWEVER...)

the turning point in this story would have to be another heavy setting that pushes you in a very delicate, desperate moment. it would've taken lots of development I guess, or maybe not, for this to happen but essentially Naoya is much more around the estate, he's just as cruel as you expected and one day he decides to hurt you even more, fueled by his jealousy.

this moment leads you straight into toji for comfort, and him, a bit... too invested in you and tired of the zen'in clan, decides to thrown caution to the wind and do the one thing he's been planning to do for a while now:

leave the estate.

he manages to convince you quite easily, and so that night, before things get heated even more, you leave with toji.

I like to play with the idea that he actually convinces you to leave the jujutsu community all together, but I don't think that would be possible, considering how close you are with your family.

Though that might happen if you continue to feel betrayed by them in some sense, abandoned.

I'd like to think this is Naoya's turning point :) the moment he realizes he messed up BIG TIME, ensuing his redemption.

Years would pass tho, more likely, and perhaps... something more happens between you and toji.

Ngl this is a story that would mainly be toji and y/n ending together, I don't think I can fit Naoya in that equation... but who knows?

and there you have it, an au for first it hurts!! Quite tragic, ngl. I feel like a lot would need to happen for Naoya and Y/N to end up together, but it's more likely that it doesn't so :) let's just enjoy the main storyline where they be the endgame.

maybe I can write something tho... or maybe not. I have other toji ideas, however. I look forward to those :) and a naoaki au. hehehe.

Hiiiiii, it is I again!! I just finished Cold Love and gosh!

The ending was just so nice, mostly when I thought SHIGGY WAS DYING FOR A MOMENT- 😭 Then they were just being super sweet at the beach and I ngl cried a little, they all deserved that happiness <3 I also still wanna cry (In a good way tho) BECAUSE I FINISHED THE WHOLE THING I wanna write a little note to myself, next to my bed, erase my memories about these 2 fics, then wake up next morning, read the note and reread the whole thing with as much joy as the first time! I'm gonna reread them FOR SURE, but not now as they're still fresh in my brain :3

And you know, Cold Love has opened my mind more than it already was I mean I already love heroes and villains, but you've put a lot more details that made me go: "Shit, I didn't think it was THAT much"

The way you wrote how the hero commission treats heroes made me think of what my parents always tell me about Actors and Models. "Their lives/bodies don't belong to them, it belongs to the company they work for" That sentence hit me even more when the chapters were Hawks centered. Poor guy, he was a literal lab rat. The worst is that he ISN'T THE ONLY ONE GOING THROUGH THAT

Villains, I already sympathized with a lot, in other medias and MHA too But your fic made me realize that, when they do those crimes, it's for them but mostly for OTHERS as well!! They're like heroes, in a way, because they want to make society BETTER. They do this because they know how it feels to be rejected, hated and they want to change it so NO ONE ELSE has to go through this. Also, we often see them not caring about dying if they do achieve their goal, because they know next gens will have better lives than they ever had. WHICH I THINK IS HELLA SAD BUT SO NICE OF THEM???

Though I DON'T agree with them taking lives of course, but I don't hate them anyways because, when they've been rejected by everyone and everything, how else are they supposed to get attention? Very unfortunately, crimes is often their answer…

I really enjoy bnha fics where the writers closely examine the society and its problems because its SO interesting (and im kind of sad the way it went in canon, I wanted a lot more and found the school setting kind of restricting for it in general, but we'll always have fics haha) i'm glad you enjoyed me doing that just a little bit! I devoured this book in a day. BookTok has been raving about Terms and Conditions for ages, and I never gave in until now. I've been reading nothing but billionaire romances lately, so I wanted to try this one out. This was my first time reading from Lauren Asher, and honestly, I think I'm going to check out her other work. I really like how she writes.

The author isn't black, but I do appreciate her for writing a Black FMC. She did it well. No stereotypes. No microaggression. You know, things I worry about when a nonblack author writes black characters. She added important things like Iris getting braids, making it know that she's a black woman by making her skin color known, wearing a bonnet, etc.

Speaking of Iris...

I absolutely love her. I think she's super fun and adorable. Like her personality is addicting. No one Declan fell for her hard. I do feel she was a little too hard on herself at times due to her learning differences, which is normal since so many talked bad about her because of it--including her own father. But she didn't allow that to hinder her career. I love how she's her own person outside of Declan. That's important to me in a romance story. It's like yeah the MMC and FMC are supposed to fall in love, but I wanna see who they without each other around. Iris's friendship with Cal was sweet, too. Very enjoyable and clearly they are two peas in pod if they get a kick out of getting on Declan's nerves, LOL. I giggled at times.

Now for Declan Kane...

Yeah, he's added to my book boyfriend list. I see of the bad reviews saying they didn't love Declan, and that's he's insufferable. See, me? I LOVE Declan. He's such a grump. A billionaire asshole who softens up for his girl. I really like how Lauren wrote Declan. He has daddy issues, struggled at times, but overall, he didn't allow that to cost him the future he desperately wanted with Iris. Great development from his character. When he's an ass. He's an ass. But when he softens up for Iris? Gosh, he was so damn sweet to her. I was definitely swinging my feet while reading. His family is... complicating, to say the least. Declan's father is horrible. My bad. Seth is horrible. Declan's relationship with his problems are oddly heartwarming, despite how much they argue. I mean, that's inevitable for siblings. But I still love seeing them interact.

I really love Iris and Declan's chemistry. It didn't feel forced or robotic regardless of their arrangement. It was built very well. The spice scenes were written nicely, too. I didn't really care for the lack of obscenity because it was replaced with intimacy, which I loved. Especially from Declan's POV. You knew from the beginning he always had a soft spot for Iris. Third act break up was good too. Thank goodness it didn't stem from miscommunication. I would've cursed myself if that happened. But Declan I wanted to hit you with car for what you did. Still love you tho. And honestly, I think he didn’t grovel more is because the author probably didn’t want to make the book longer than what it was. Lauren was probably trying to wrap it up, LOL. Still, maybe she couldn’t written in a time frame within those three chapters. The two epilogues were very sweet, too. I love how they blossomed, and enjoy seeing Declan that way and Iris so happy. They deserved that happily ever after.

I highly recommend this book and I would definitely reread this book. I honestly can't find one thing I dislike about this book. Maybe the only I thing I can say I wished happened was flashback chapters for both Declan and Iris's past. I think that would've made the story a bit more angsty. Other than that, an easy five star.

Already it start ok you could think the T is for pretty much any reason (It was initially posted in 2019) so yeah

The cover is great , but not for this chapter , it isn't relevant to what's happening in it , you would think the chapter is how Riley is gonna be in trouble not Jaden, it's poor execution of a well made cover if it had been in later chapter, perhaps one where Riley family visit uninvited it would've been great , showing that Riley feels safe by making her alseep in the cover with her cat to show that she feels at home with her own family not her blood one

I think it's a well executed panel , I would take out the case saying the parking is in 1.am to make space and let the car sequence breath more inside of being cluttered but apart from that the execution is pretty good . The first case isn't very relevant but it's a great introduction about how the club is , she probably should have put it as Jaden goes inside yonique because here it feels irrelevant. But it's not an irrelevant case it's potential just hasn't been used properly. I like very much the case where violet thank Jaden, I would've loved to have a scene where Jaden receive her security guard t shirt tho , could've been good instead of having the club scene so early on

Instead of having both Jaden and violet in scene 1 I would've loved having a Jaden close up so rusty could experience with emotions and how Jaden is and react to being thanked and helping other . Seeing the both of them with the car in between doesn't serve a purpose , I think rusty was experimenting a lot amd forgot what she wanted to convey trough her comic

I like the other scenes tho , they serve a purpose and don't feel out of place , we see that they are moving and this conversation tell us how they are as person , we understand well that viole is a playful and open person while Jaden is a bit more submissive socially and won't take the lead if another person can drive the conversation for her

The comment about the situation getting hairy isn't a very good joke , I would've replaced it with something more obvious , because hairy ? Anyone can be hairy . And since rusty is GNC and very openly doesn't shave it feels weird to call men hairy ? Isn't her view about hair being for anyone ? It's poorly executed and shows once again rusty can't remember her own values (?) If theses are truly are values , perhaps rusty fell into terfism because she found comfort when she needed it wich I can't blame her for that . But if it doesn't align with your views it's ok to stop being into a certain community

I don't like how it jumps immediately to her shift sequence . It would've been nice to see her being greeted by her boss then getting her uniform , getting some advices (as a foreshadowing of how to defend herself) because where does that denim jacket comes from ??? Where does theses girls come from ??? We aren't given any explanation as to what happened to lead us here , it's poor management of the comic frankly and poor story telling . Again we are given a simp moment for the ladies to simp on Jaden instead of properly acknowledging that she's going to talk about am heavy topic . Rusty lack a lot In that domain , she never take seriously the topic she portrays . It's always a romanticized version of the situation.

I like how rusty doesn't have same face syndrome , if I can give her something it's that . But here again Jaden isn't her own person . She's not a character but a plot device and yet she's supposed to be the main character, how can you give so little agency to your own Mc? Jaden is simply a simping device , she's the hot lesbian butch . Nothing more . She's the laid back cool lesbian butch . Why isn't she more why isn't she Jaden, we are at chapter 3 and Jaden is only the lesbian butch while Riley is more of a person ! She's the Riley the shy cat lesbian !!
