I didnt really like the newest season of hilda :(

#i dunno i felt like it kinda undermined a bit of the message #for me it was always about hilda being just a normal girl who keeps her mind open for the non human creatures and coexistence #making her super special is kind of dissapointing... and the fairies were an underdeveloped concept #it was kinda funny how everyone else was like 'fairies? thats just silly' when they also didnt know about a lot of other stuff before #like witches existing #i dunno it feels like this whole thing with the fairies should have been a bit more thought out #also i mean i really liked the dad but i would have preferred if he would have never been introduced... i mean he really was not that needed #also her granddad looks like rick from rick and morty and i cant unsee it and its breaking me #i dunno.... i really think the movie would have been the perfect end of the show... because the messages presented in the first two seasons #culminate in this finale of the trolls coming into trollberg #i dunno...#but the creature from the lake absolutely fucks #like thats the kind of shit i want to see #very bad power tool safety in that episode tho

Assuming it even gets to that point, what are the odds of the Netflix dmc series adapting dmc 2?

As much as id love for it to happen... im going to say, very unlikely. Capcom seems determined to forget DMC 2 ever happened, and for good reason to be fair. It did kinda nearly kill the franchise and i feel like if they didnt put out dmc 3 to save it, dmc 2 not only would have left a bad taste in the mouths of dmc fans but in capcom-game fans as a whole, considering how much they promised with dmc 2 and how much that didnt deliver anyways.

Though i will be on the lookout for any potential references to dmc 2 in the new anime (and to the other games/media in the series too)

Right now the anime seems to be focusing on a younger version of Dante, maybe even from his Tony Redgrave days. (Assuming based on the presense of the rabbit and how he sounds a lot younger), but if course only time can tell what the anime is really going to be about.

#I just hope it doesnt mis-characterize anyone or mess up any major story stuff #if its even canon to the story anyways #ive seen people worried about it being an AU kinda deal #which if it is then i can see why fans would be dissapointed #either way #im personally very excited #it looks very cool #and i cant wait to see where it goes #dmc #dmc anime #devil may cry #devil may cry netflix

As good as the finale was I am still left in serious want for more storyline for the Tuskegee Airmen because wow they really got a quarter of an episode in ep8 and maybe 3 lines in this ep and we're supposed to be good?

We really should have had scenes with them across more episodes, and gotten at least a fraction of their story because the way they were shown really showed almost nothing

#there's also plenty of other issues #i saw someone talk much better about the jewish rep scenes we got in this ep than i ever could #but i was very uncomfortable with solomon being the one to help that nazi up #it was just unnecessary #like even if it was accurate it really felt out of place and bad #and im not the one to talk in depth about the tuskeegees either #that's not my place #but i am sincerely dissapointed because they featured heavily in the advertisements #and it feels wrong that they got advertised like their stories would be told when they didn't really do more than show a page of their stor #like i loved so much of the series #but it needed to be longer and it needed to cut C plots to benefit B plots #and they could have done more to do a perspective swap at various times more #so we wouldn't get stalled so much with the nothing going on at the pow camp so often and instead met any of the new guys after e5 really #dana rambles #mota #masters of the air #mota spoilers
