Hello how have you been? I have moved away from here a little because real life absorbs a lot of time, I barely have free time but I wanted to send you several scenarios but then I forget heheh. Well before I forget another one I have a scenario for the beloved PTM Jade with Yuu and it's horror movie night. Imagine the possibilities of Jade trying to get close to Yuu by showing herself to be a brave companion in case you are scared of that genre or pretending to be scared, it's a cunning eel >:3

The trope of putting on a horror movie to get one person scared and have them cuddle is always so funny to me because I'm the type of person that watches a horror movie and get pissed off that all the characters are dumb.

I can imagine Jade attempting to get all close and sweet with Yuu and instead they're yelling about the main character going into the dark basement with occult stuff. It's fine, he thinks it's funny.

its always incessant funny when media stans see a fandom critiquing the horrid racist, transphobic shit in a media or its creator and they react to this by making a blog "dedicated to celebrating x media or character" and then the entire blog is literally....... nothing but them complaining about people who critique their favorite media.

It was excruciatingly funny to see the one stan realize, in real time, exactly what they were doing when I pointed this out to them lol.

Like, do you really love that media, or do you just hate people who see the flaws in it and aren't afraid to talk about it?

If you have to make an entire sideblog dedicated to hating on people pointing out the bigotry in your media or media creator instead of actually celebrating what you genuinely like about that media..... what, exactly, are you doing?

You might wanna take a step back and actually see if what you're doing is actually something worthwhile.

Is your "[media]enjoyer" sideblog going to actually talk about what you personally find enjoyable in the film and celebrate the fandom, or are you just going to lie about and complain about people in the fandom talking about the creator's racism and transphobia?

heh yeah it’s one of my favorite horror / scary movie franchises of allll time !!! 🫶 i loveeee scream. hmm what got me into it, i can’t rly remember that much. i do know when i first saw that drew barrymore was gonna be in it i knew i had to watch immediately bc she’s one of my fav actors growing up ☝️. did my girl so wrong tho sobs

some other favorites of mine would be — final destination, saw, friday the 13th, the ring, tcm and carrie !!!! i just rly love lots of scary movies in general 🙂‍↕️

Did any one else have the experience of frowinf up in the late 90s/early 00's where Disney had the vault.

Not only where you only able to get Disney movies on VCR when out the vault they also charged crazy prices for them. As a child who grew up in a family without a lot of money. Getting to own any of the Disney orginals was like winning the jackpot. I was lucky enough to have Aladdin and Little Mermaid as I was obsessed with mermaids. (My grandmother did accidently buy me an animated Hans Christian Anderson original version first by accident. Let me tell you 8 year old me was horrified)

BUT while Disney orginals where crazy expensive when you could get them out of the vault, the direct to VCR sequels WAY cheaper and actually really good in their own right. So that's what I had as a Disney obsessed child.

I actually prefer the Little Mermaid 2 to the original (I never understood why Ariel wanted to go to the human world, but 100% got Melody wanting to live in the sea. I love the Lion King 2 just as much as the first, the music in it just hits. I saw Lady and the Tramp 2, Cinderella 2 and Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas special years before I saw the orginals. (I actually did not know the beauty and the beast xmas edition wasn't the original, and that was embarrassing to learnbwhen talking about the movie).

When I try to explain to people why the sequels to these movies are so important to me and while I will fight people over them saying their bad peo0le don't get it.

But this was my escape as a kid. The sequel made my childhood, and I am so grateful. Maybe the animation isn't as marvellous ans ground breaking as the uber expensive orginals. But they were WAY more accessible.

I am currently watching the little mermaid with my niece (2.5yrs) and she is also way more entranced with the sequel as well.

It just wild to me to think about how easy access to all Disney movies is these days and how much Disney really made there master works inaccessible to certain social groups back in the 90s/00s. Disney has always been about money, not childhood magic. If it was, they would not have vaulted thier movies to be able to jack the prices and make them almost inaccessible to a whole social group.

Long live Disney straight to VCR/DVD sequels.

Hello ~~ season ask coming through, pumpkin— how do you feel about horror movies? do you like psychological thrillers more or jump-scare oriented movies?

I love horror movies!

I'm all about jump-scares. The tension that builds up right before the scare, that edge of your seat what the absolute fuck is happening, I love that feeling. But as much as I love that feeling I will still 100% scream my way through the movie.
