Weird ass worm thing

The water fluke is a strange salt water creature dwelling in every continent, being able to thrive in every temperature as long as the water is salty, and thrive best in the open ocean. They range from the size of a earth-worm to a small snake, and have their eyes on their swimming ''flippers'', making seeing very difficult for them. Instead, they mainly sense predators through vibrators, Their diet consists of the nutrients found on the underwater dirt or other substrate. Despite looking like small demons, they are quite harmless. However, sometimes in climates where it is colder, when they sense a larger creature swimming around, (fish or land animal) they will wrap around any warm part of that creature they can. While this is incredibly annoying and uncomfortable, they can be pried off using minimum force, leaving the water, or scratching up on something like a rock. They are safe to eat and eaten by almost everything, however they are said to taste like rotting food to humans. During the warmest months, these creatures gather in large groups along the shore to spawn, females will lay eggs and leave while males skirmish to fertalize them. Most males die during this time period, only the strong ones making it out to live another year.
