The way Lucas is in my head is like, pre-dread doctors trauma bonded with Corey and severely anxious but undiagnosed leading to him having a low libido despite very much being gay/wanting to be normal. Like he very much needed help but dragged himself along and was misunderstood a lot. Corey's parental neglect gave him invisibility powers, i imagine that Lucas had a lot of buried rage that he bit down leading him to feel even more fucked up and lauding him into getting scorpion stingers/venom post-dread doctors.
Obviously there's no proof of this whatsoever but i like the idea of Lucas willingly going along with the dread doctors because hey, if it works then it works and just not exactly understanding what he was getting himself into, which fits into the whole "better to survive" moral code he and Corey both exhibited to Mason and spiralling downwards hard after waking up from the grave. Considering how he wasn't spewing mercury and was just murdered by them in sinema i do wonder if he knew more than they wanted him to and the doctors wanted nothing getting out, which paints a pretty horrific scene considering just how screwed up he was once confronted (especially if he retained all his memories...)
#but yeah. i wish they’d expanded on lucas bc come on. corey’s ex bf who was tortured kissed then killed in front of his new bf??#i nearly screamed at the whole ‘safer to be a bad guy/i wanna be alive’ shit#wonder how corey feels about lucas now#teen wolf lucas#teen wolf#corey bryant#mason hewitt#the dread doctors#dread doctors#puppy pack#the puppy pack#morey#mason x corey (+hoizer)#mason x corey#wordvomit

Kermit And Friends: Tony Ricca WWE
Imagine a church where the reverend is threatened to be locked into a chicken coop by his fiancé at the beginning of service and then threated to be killed Nicole Simpson style by a love interest of said fiancé towards the end of service.
Ladies and gentleman, I welcome you to Kermit and Friends!
The show started off this week with both bad news and good news. The bad news was that Jennifer Lopez’s 6th engagement broke off, but the good news is Elisa’s very 1st engagement is still going strong!
That’s right, despite all the naysayers, Elisa Jordana and Andy Dick’s engagement has survived yet another week. Elisa even has 4 new rings to show for it! But let me tell you... it almost did not survive this show, literally.
First off, Elisa is getting fed up with not being able to reach Andy whenever she wants, so she came up with this brilliant idea of building a chicken coop to keep him locked in. I mean, why not? Andy’s skinny frame combined the long neck sort of does resemble a chicken, so it seems like the perfect fit! Andy doesn’t seem to keen to the idea though so he better just get his act together and start answering every time he’s blessed with a phone call from his gorgeous fiancé Elisa.
This week’s KAF special guest was none other than former WWE Superstar, Tony Ricca. Elisa has a little history in pro wrestling, appearing on WWE Monday Night Raw and starring in a reality show that was hosted by pro wrestling star Chris Jericho. Kermit and Friends also has big wrestling fans on the show such as Socky, Corey, Johnny B, and many more in the chatroom.
Elisa started the interview off by asking Tony about why he wanted to become a pro wrestler. Tony shared it was actually his friends who wanted him to do it, and Andy revealed that’s exactly how he got into acting.
There was more wrestling talk and Tony kindly answered questions from Socky the Sock Puppet, Corey, Eric and other KAF superstars like Trumpster Bob asking Tony to partake in his “Butthole Challenge.” Andy Dick also got Tony to show off his abs so he could gush over his hairy belly. The interview went swimmingly, if you ask me.
During the interview, Andy started facetiming with his handsome friend Lucas. This caught Elisa’s eye and she immediately pounced. “THE Lucas? Aren’t you Andy’s ex, Lucas?”
Lucas denied the claim but Elisa is no fool. She can read Andy like a book and she knows when Andy is really into someone. But Elisa put the claws away and started to have a nice normal chat with Lucas about Andy. As it turns out, Lucas is also a former pro wrestler so he asked Tony a couple of questions too. Maybe we’ll see Lucas back on the show very soon and get to the bottom of him and Andy’s true feelings toward one another.
Kermit’s old friend Kleenex (screenname Christopher Dick) made his return to Kermit and Friends this week. Sitting in his car smoking cigarettes, I could sense Kleenex was in prime form ready to steal the show as the premier Dick on it. After complaining about Elisa’s lack of enthusiasm in her introduction of Kleenex to Tony and Lucas, Kleenex hounded Elisa about the content the show was producing compared to when it first started back in November. Kleenex then set his sights on Elisa’s relationship with Andy Dick, and just as Kleenex’s meter was about to hit red... All. Hell. Broke. Loose.
But not from Kleenex... from ERIC RIGGS! That’s right, Elisa’s friend Eric came flying in like a bat out of Hell and relinquished his fury on Andy Dick.
It was unbelievable. To this point, Eric has perhaps been the sweetest guy on the show. Yeah, he’s out there and his love for Elisa has probably left people baffled, but he’s been consistent in his sweet nature. To see him snap like this was surprising, to say the least.
So what set Eric off? When he talked with Tony Ricca before, he seemed perfectly fine. What I personally believe got Eric’s blood boiling was when Andy bragged to his friend Lucas that Elisa invited Andy to spend the night at her apartment Sunday night.
I did a break down of Elisa’s love history on Kermit and Friends for Valentine’s Day. You can read it here. Eric is featured in the blog. Elisa first met Eric at work, and he became very smitten with Elisa. Hey, who can blame him? He even proposed to Elisa, but Eric had to move to Seattle not long after, so their 'relationship’ became a long distance 'relationship’ following that.
Did they really date? Was Elisa really engaged to Eric?
Elisa is too sensitive towards Eric’s feelings to give a straight answer to these questions, but I know the answers and I will give them to you.
Elisa hung out with Eric many times. His desk was right behind hers at work and naturally as a group they spent many lunches and ‘happy hours’ together with other co-workers. Is that dating? Eh, I’m fine with calling it that if Eric really wants to but you can see where the line is blurred.
As far as Eric’s proposal... there’s an episode of the 90′s sitcom Full House where DJ Tanner’s baby sister Michelle (who is 5 or 6-years-old at the time) falls in love with DJ’s boyfriend, Steve. Michelle asked Steve to marry her and of course Steve said yes to play along and to not hurt Michelle’s feelings. That episode pretty much describes what happened between Elisa and Eric.
Eric proposed in a public setting and Elisa did not want to embarrass Eric by saying no, but she also never led him on by making promises, flirting, doing anything sexual, etc. She genuinely adored Eric as a friend and knew he had a puppy dog crush on her and wanted to never hurt him.
Eric’s move to Seattle was a blessing for Elisa because it meant she never had to break his heart. If you remember the Forgiveness episode of Kermit and Friends, Eric told Susan Shapiro that he was finally over Elisa and looking to move on. Of course, since then Eric has professed his love again with poems, songs, and even a damn book, but still... you just had to think he was somewhat over the idea of truly marrying Elisa.
Boy, is that NOT the case. Not the case at all. Eric full on believes he’s the next Jeff Benzos and that he will help skyrocket Elisa’s career by booking her to perform with him as a duet at Madison Square Garden. And they will do this as husband and wife, despite the mafia, Vice Lords and the people who shot down Kobe Bryant’s plane all being against the idea. In Eric’s mind, the power of he and Elisa’s love can overcome anything. Including and especially Andy Dick, who is a part of the Satanic Cult of Walt Disney, according to Eric.
Eric claims to have super powerful Jewish friends in super powerful places. One phone call from Eric and he can have Andy wacked like OJ Simpson killed his wife Nicole. Or Eric will just do it himself. This would probably be a very scary threat if it wasn’t coming from someone as harmless as Eric Riggs, so it’s just funny. Very funny.
But it’s also a bit sad. Eric obviously has some issues upstairs and has created a fantasy World for himself. Honestly, Kermit and Friends is a wonderful fantasy World as well but most of us are capable of separating our fantasy Worlds from reality. We can tell which is which. Eric doesn’t seem to be able to tell the difference and that’s very unfortunate.
Eric’s rant lasted nearly 30 minutes straight. Non-stop. No one could get a word in edgewise. Elisa didn’t even try for the most part; she was completely silent for well over 10 minutes after it first started. Whenever Andy tried to chime in, Eric was not having it. Thankfully, Andy took it in stride and seemed amused by it all. It was one of the most surreal half hours you will ever witness if you’re lucky enough to watch this incredible show every week.
Elisa abruptly ended this week’s Kermit and Friends after asking Andy if he was ready to go to the Four Seasons during Eric’s tirade. This is one KAF episode that will never be forgotten. If you have not watched it yet, this review is nowhere near giving it justice. Just stop whatever you’re doing right now and click play.

Many times I’ve seen comments about how the Harry Potter cast avoided the “child star curse” and I want your opinion on that because I don’t think those kids were being treated well and I always find it shocking how everyone thinks their childhoods in the spotlight were something magically wonderful. Also, I hate how people talk about child-stars gone wrong because the aim is always to mock or attack the kid instead of realizing their behavior is a consequence of trauma and abuse.
Mornin’ Nonnie. Wow. That’s a bucketful of questions this morning.
Lemme get a huge cuppa so I can put some coherent thought into this set of questions.
RE: The Child Star Curse…. you’ve hit on the enormous Pandora’s Box here with this topic. No lie there.
Triggering mentions are in the tags for those who blacklist and don’t want to read on such things on a Sunday morning.
I’m putting all of this under the cut since this got really, really long really fast.
How did the kids avoid it where so many got lost and lost their way growing into adulthood? If you notice (I will speak of Eyebrows separately because her situation is pretty different by comparison)…. most of the main kids had a terrific support net of family at home - who could be wise to keep their kids grounded (as in feet on the ground and not under discipline/punishment). Sure they all had some mis-steps - but then I’ve never known a teenager who hasn’t made a mistake or 10 while transitioning to adulthood.
Dan? Dan had a serious drinking problem ‘til he decided to sober up (and I really commend him for taking that enormous step. It’s hard as hell to choose at such a young age that you have an addictive personality and that you can’t moderate the drinking and it’s smarter/safer to do without. (And it’s much easier to walk away at the younger age than in your late 20′s 30s 40s more when more damage has been done.)
Rupert? If anyone had been the most grounded, I’d say it’s him. His parents are top bants there, with his siblings and friends keeping him from being too much of a git. (And also being so b* smart in investing his funds early into a property owner to have his wealth but also paying his taxes, too.)
Emma? I think her situation was more fishbowl than the others because of the growing objectification of her and also how rude, lude, and crass men were treating her (including the paparazzi). I also think that she took advantage of such for her benefit to try and tame it down, and while it was mostly on point, there were moments where it was painfully obvious that she was there primarily for the male gaze. O_O She did take advantage of her privilege, with the additional benefits, but considering how much she’s been under the spotlight and constant attention of media and more, she’s done pretty well. (I won’t get into the issue of tax avoidance from the Panama Papers since I disagree with the mindset that the uber-wealthy should pay out 90% to benefit everyone else when they are already shouldering much of the social support net for those who need the assistance)
As for Tom and Bonnie and Evanna and the others? I think they have done pretty darn well for avoiding the child star curse.
But I also think the biggest part of it has been that they weren’t necessarily in the California/Hollywood scene, where it’s pretty much a free-for-all with access to anything and everything you’d want to delve into - along with the really ugly dark side of the business. (Yes, I’m tip-toeing around that issue since it’s pretty nasty.)
But how they were treated? I’m sure that the trappings of their situation made it more difficult, with constant media scrutiny and having so many people involved to have them appearing…. more appealing. While I’m sure for every one person there would be 100 who would give their toes and fingers to have that opportunity, it’s truly a Gilded Cage, of all of the pretty trappings and benefits - but with the enormous loss of privacy and anonymity.
Secondly, and more importantly, you also broach a huge issue, one that is constantly overlooked and also attracted the issue of victim-blaming. The ones who have gone off the rails, the kids who got lost along the way, were put under such scrutiny and given so much opportunity with little to no parental discipline to prevent problems, that, once again, media blame falls on the kids rather than the responsibility of the adults who should be there to support, encourage, and if need be, protect the kids.
I’m gonna say it right here in plain words: Being a teenager is Bloody Fucking hard. It’s triple hard if you are in such a position of making money hand over fist and people become blinded by the greed, attention, and privilege from what they have in those moments. How many horror stories do you hear of where a young actor or actress gets into drugs/alcohol/pills and then crashes and burns spectacularly? For every one success story, there are dozens that crash and burn.
Is it a self-medicating of ones who aren’t necessarily neurotypical? Or is it the craving of the validation that comes from the attention and when not receiving it, needs the self-medication? Coping with trauma behind the scenes? Trauma before getting into acting and using the benefits to dull the pain?
I’ll bring up 3 in particular, just to make the point here.
One is Cory Haim. He was a young actor back in the 80s, in quite a few films, and was one of the teenage hearthrob pin-up boys. While he may have never been an A-lister as an adult (and reading up on his film credits, was probably B lister) he was an A-lister as a teenager. But there are plenty of speculation, especially by his friend Corey Feldman, of abuse when he was a teenager. (I won’t get into it because that’s rumor, speculation, and more) When he quit being cute his roles dried up to C-list roles, in straight to video shows, tv shows and voice-over work in video games.
From one of his interviews:
I was working on The Lost Boys (1987) when I smoked my first joint. But a year before that, I was starting to drink beer on the set of the film Lucas (1986). I lived in Los Angeles in the ‘80s, which was not the best place to be. I did cocaine for about a year and a half, then it led to crack. I started on the downers which were a hell of a lot better than the uppers because I was a nervous wreck. But one led to two, two led to four, four led to eight, until at the end it was about 85 a day - the doctors could not believe I was taking that much. And that was just the valium - I’m not talking about the other pills I went through.
Did he get into drugs to dull the pain of trauma? Did he get into it out of boredom? We’ll never really know since he died back in 2010, penniless. His star burned out fast after he quit being cute/adorable/a money-maker. Was trauma involved? I sure think so (along with former child actor River Phoenix, who was also mentioned in the dark side of Hollywood, too.)
#2 is Justin Bieber. (Yes, I know. Bear with me.)
He got his break early on doing YT videos and got signed on - and took off like a rocket. But he (now that he’s older and hopefully a little wiser) now admits that he isn’t neurotypical and is pretty darn honest about his mental health struggles. (And yes, this also includes the few years before he was participating in bad boy behaviors, mistreating his girlfriends, etc.) Now? He found some stability in his life, able to admit he has problems and is getting help (and does have some support from his family including his new wife and her family.) (Let me also broach this here in plain language: Being Christian and having Grace doesn’t mean that you have zero problems from there on out. Far from it. It means that forgiveness is there with contrition. It means having a framework to work on being better.)
Will he still make mistakes? Oh sure. Being human means making mistakes. Wisdom is learning from them.
Lastly? Miley Cyrus. (Yes, I know. I’m mentioning those who are fun to laugh at. But these three are prime examples - but also with examples of coming through it all - or not.)
She’s been under the spotlight for decades, now. She’s in a show-business family. Godmother is Dolly “I love everyone and then some” Parton. And she’s one of the Disney Kids, including some spectacular failures on her part (and I’m lumping in her on/off again with her now-husband Liam.)
Did she lose her way for a while? I sure think so. But then the media spotlight x 100 made it harder, with every mistake under intense scrutiny. (This includes some questionable choices in a presentation of herself to the world. O_O)
Was she abused as one of the Disney Kids? Frankly? I think so. Disney isn’t all bright colors and silly shows and enormous paychecks. Rumours run amuck of behind the scenes abuse and mistreatment. Even having a famous father probably didn’t shield her completely from being mishandled by adults in her sphere of acknowledgment.
It’s the utter dark side of the business - that is an open opportunity for adults to take advantage of kids when they aren’t intensely protected and shielded from predator adults - straight and gay. There’s so many quiet mentions of adults abusing girls and boys in their charge - to disasterous results mostly.
But from 2 of the three here? They are examples of hope, where you can make mistakes, get lost along the way, feel the intense grip of imposter syndrome, of mediocre achievements and still succeed - and survive mistakes. They are a hope that whatever has happened, trauma and abuse wise, that you can survive it and, with serious professional help, get through it.
As I am prone to do, especially with those I mentor, is that I won’t tell you what to think - just that you do think. But if a mistake is made (or even a really p*ss poor choice made) I’ll help you survive it.
2 of the three had their family and support net available to help them survive the choices made, leading to wisdom on what not to do - how to cope/endure/survive what has happened.
These kids were probably victims of abuse and trauma, before and during their early acting careers. But 2 of the three are examples of not living a lifetime of being a victim - but a bad-fucking-ass survivor.
To those who have survived abuse and trauma as a child?
I’m gonna tell y’all who might be reading this, including my Kiddos:
It’s not your fault you were abused. Never. Full-stop.
It’s the responsibility of the ones who hurt you. They are to blame. And G_d as my witness I better never run into them. I have zero qualms burning a bitch for hurting a child.

Happy Friday!! We’re back at it again, with an exclusive profile of the one, the only @fandomtrashwhore, aka Marie! You’ve seen her instagram aesthetics, from Hunger Games to Parent Thiam AU to New Years’ AU. And now, we had the opportunity to learn more about her creative process and her life well…behind the screens. Let’s get it started!
Marie! Why not start us off with a simple introduction. Who is fandomtrashwhore? Or the artist behind her? The twist: the word count should be equal or less than the # of letters of the characters in your favorite TW rarepair ship.
Theo Raeken + Mieczyslaw Stilinski = 29
My name is Marie, I’m 19 years old and from Germany. My life is dedicated to my fandoms but besides that I’m an apprentice as an technical product designer.
Ha, I see whatcha did there with ‘Mieczyslaw.’ Smart, very smart! A Technical Product Designer! What does that entail? Do you like it so far?
I don’t know if there’s a perfect translation for it and I’m bad at explaining (that’s why I’m not a writer and my answers in this interview are gonna be shit :’D). I like the 3D drawing part most and till now I’m quite good at it and even ‘job school’ is pretty good. I feel like Hermione cause I always know the answer and my grades are on point af (which definitely wasn’t like that in my previous schools. I never said anything in class).
Pst, who said you have to be a good writer to have a good time? Just do you haha. That’s what we’re all here for any. That’s super interesting though. What’s another thing our fandom would be surprised to know about you?
I have to confess that I didn’t really mind Theo or Liam before season 6? Like I knew they were there and I liked them but I was too focussed on other characters + I didn’t know they wanted to end Teen Wolf then and felt like they wanted to shove the main pack away to replace it with Liam and his gang. (Now I’m all over the puppy pack ).
AND I watched the whole show till 5B or season 6 (not so sure) in one go and that’s why it felt like Theo and Liam both joined around the same time. (Even if there was one whole season between them…wtf.) I remember that I sometimes couldn’t even tell who was Liam and who was Theo cause I thought that they ‘looked alike’…BITCH WHERE? This is more than embarrassing, but every time I watch a show in one go I have trouble learning the names (when the name is said in the show I usually know who they mean but if I talk about it to someone I sometimes can’t remember the names cause I watched 3 seasons within a week…. :’D ). I definitely need to rewatch and appreciate them more this time cause they’re such amazing characters.
*Actually Cackling* Were there any other characters you were hazy on? Like, would Garrett be the “angry, tiny blonde one” to you?
No it’s embarrassing af. :’D And I know who Garrett is and what he did and he was indeed an angry tiny blonde kid, but I don’t remember details. Sadly (I mean I think he only was there for a few episodes so I don’t think there was much detail so I’m good as long as I know his storyline). :’D
Truth. When I started watching Supernatural, until (at least) midseason 2, I called both Sam and Dean, DeanSam cause they were always together when someone addressed them. So, you’re not alone, eek. Now, THAT’S embarrassing.
So, how did you go from ‘kid, what’s your name?!’ to Thiam instagram aesthetics and our fandom? What drew you in?
I think I jumped on the train quite late (cause as I said I didn’t really mind them), but I think I shipped them before but just realized it last season. So, I think I first felt something for them during their fight in the hospital because I was ‘fun-shipping’ them (not really fun but I wasn’t deep into it cause I didn’t bother checking their ship name or anything but I was like ‘lol. They’re gay for each other) during 6B and then I completely lost it in episode 6 of that season and realized that it is a real thing and it’s love.
From that moment I was a mess and died the last few episodes cause I thought they either make it canon or kill Theo off (and maybe make it canon) but neither happened so….ok. :’D I’m sad that I only had like two weeks left with them but since then it’s been a wild ride and they brought me new internet friends ( a whole pack) and made me tumblr fame … it’s crazy how inspiring they are for edits. I just can’t stop. :’D
BUT how I found my way into the Teen Wolf fandom is a bit funnier I think…(at least for me) :’D
This has now become the moment where I ask, “Marie, can you tell us how you got into the Teen Wolf fandom? Lol”
Idk if it’s funny if you don’t know my friends and me personally. But I always had this little group to talk about series with. Mostly The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones but sometimes other series. A friend of mine, Lucas, once mentioned that there’s a series called ‘teen wolf or something like that’ and that he knows that one character looks like one of our classmates (his name is Tobi). He was talking about Derek and even showed me a pic AND HE REALLY FUCKING LOOKS LIKE HIM (I mean in close up you know it’s not him but you know…).
He already had a beard really really soon (he looked like 20 when he was 15 or something because of it) BUT NOW he looks even more like Derek cause I met him again, like a year ago, in a club and he lost weight and is working out now and….he’s really a Derek look alike (I wish I could show you but privacy…).
After laughing about that I never heard about that series again till I watched the trailer on youtube, and I have no idea why, but it was around new years eve 2015 to 2016 cause I thought about starting it and told a friend of mine on new years eve and showed her the trailer and she also thought it was cool and we started it about a week after that and binge watched the shit out of it.
BUT I ALWAYS HAD THAT PICTURE OF MY CLASSMATE IN MIND WHEN I SAW DEREK. And I still call Derek Tobi when I talk to my best friend who doesn’t watch teen wolf about teen wolf and want to explain something to her.
Lol are you kidding me?! That’s hilarious! And, I’ll raise you. I have a friend Michael who is a spitting image of Scott–skin tone, jaw, hair and all. I wonder if your Tobi/Derek and my Michael/Scott met, would they have a Scott-Derek-esque relationship haha! Since we’ve veered towards Friends, let’s say you, 4 characters from TW, and 1 of you personal friend were living in a Friends-type sitcom. Who’d you bring into your inner circle and which antics would yall get up to?
Ok! This is exciting! So it would be Stiles, Theo, Mason, Liam and my best friend Michelle (she doesn’t watch teen wolf but the hell do I care). We would just be such a funny sassy pack. Do you know that ‘meme’: ‘My friendship comes in 3 levels: Sass, insults, inappropriate sexual humor’? That would be so us. Michelle and me are basically Stiles and that meme describes our friendship so well; we’re really soulmates so I want the whole pack to become that close too.. Theo is a sassy ass anyways and Mason is also on fire.
Liam would suffer under our jokes and always be the one who makes bad jokes only he laughs about and the rest just laughs about him, but we still love him. Michelle and me would ship the hell out of Theo and Liam (and Mason and Corey are goals af). Mason would be sceptical at first but together with Corey–I can’t have Mason without Corey…sorry?–we get him to join us.
Sometimes, Liam and Theo even go with it and flirt for fun just to piss Stiles off who somehow ended up stuck with us after Scott left for college and Stiles decided to quit the FBI and now works as a police officer at the station. Of course, Thiam gets real and no one really notice it at first cause we think it’s just another prank on Stiles until we catch them making out in my kitchen during a pack meeting. There are also a few other pranks since we’re the sassy pack. Stiles mostly uses his position as a police officer, like towing our cars or getting us a ticket. Theo’s pranks are a bit shocking at the beginning since he needs to learn how to be a decent human being. Liam and my pranks fail most of the time. Michelle and Mason are the prank master team; they always come up with the craziest ideas.
Yassss of course, Corey would be there. There’s always a significant other who’s there so often, they become part of the group lol. That sounds like my kind of party, all the chaos and sassy destruction. All the creativity, it’s the perfect segway to our next topic of the day: fandomtrashwhore, aka your creativity.
If your creativity was a person, what type would they be? What would they do? Wear? Listen to? Handle conflict?
I think it would just be a furious working single mother? Cause during the week I’m working and even if I have nothing to do after work I only seem to be able to edit at weekends and then I sacrifice my whole weekend to it like it’s my child. And furious cause once I have an idea in my head, I drown myself in pic finding which can be so exhausting and I bet I look like a stressed single mom during that cause I’m having so many tabs open and so many search phrases to throw at google in my head at the same time.
I also have specific pics in my head and I could cry if I don’t find a perfect pic to fit that image in my head. I mostly listen to the Airplanes playlist I made while editing but I also love artists like Ed Sheeran and Halsey so that would also fit quite well to keep that person calm and grounded. I also think my creative process is quite vulnerable and moody cause sometimes I can’t wait to edit and other times I feel like I never want to edit again and I need to force myself to (during editing I love it again tho). And vulnerable cause like I said I hate when I can’t find a decent pic and could cry. Same goes for if the app crashes during a long edit or if something won’t go how I want it and my patience dies.
Does that single mother furiously create outside of the Thiam fandom too?
Yes, I do social media au’s for all my fandoms (at least I want to, till now I only have a few.) I’m not a writer but I have a started Sherlock fanfic with a trailer (I like the trailer tho and some one shots to several fandoms on wattpad. I’m ashamed of them cause I’m a bad writer but I can’t stop trying :’D So here’s my Wattpad. Don’t expect too much!!
I mentioned the trailer for my Sherlock before and right now I’m also working on a trailer ( more like ‘short movie’) for and OC (who ended up to be Marie Avgeropoulos) x Negan from The Walking Dead.Till now it’s 13 minutes long and I love the shit out of it. I never drew for a fandom before (german youtube back in the days, I had instagram fanpages. I still have them but I don’t edit for them anymore cause series took over my life. If you know german youtube and are interested contact me but they’re not that important for most of the people reading this, I think. ANYWAYS, what I wanted to say is that I want to draw something Thiam or rather Airplanes themed soon.
Oh AND I and my best friend (Michelle from before) used to write our fanfics (mostly about german youtubers) over whatsapp back in the days. It was legendary but also very unrealistic and hilarious. Sadly, we lost most of them when we got new phones which breaks my heart.
Dang, that’s tragic. Thankfully, you still have the memories. From trailers to Whatsapp/Wattpad fics, they’ve all led you to this moment: Instagram aesthetics. How’re you inspired when choosing a theme?
Most of the time I find a pic that inspires me to an edit theme. E.g., I saw the 3rd pic of The Buck’s party pic on Liam’s profile for the engagement & wedding edit coincidentally on tumblr or something and was like: “Yes, that could be Liam carried by Stiles and the boy on the right is Scott and the girl is Lydia and the pic was taken by Mason….why would something like this situation happen….A BUCK’S PARTY! I NEED TO DO A ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING AU. Then, the other pictures and ideas just find their way.
I also accept requests (like the new year eve one) or I’m inspired by a post (like for example when I did the Thiam Mykonos one.
And when you search for photos, what’s your process for choosing the best ones?
Most of the time, the story of my au’s is formed by the pics I find. Like I have an idea and look for pics and then I see which pics make a logic story. Most of the time, I don’t know myself how I find so good pics and I bet I could never find them again (I tried once after I lost some), cause I found them so deep in the internet. Mostly, I google pretty weird sentences and I wonder what the NSA is thinking of me. :’D For example, I googled “Throwing Tampons” for an Airplanes related edit once. I bet whoever observes me thinks I’m a killer when I look for aesthetics (especially when I did the The Walking Dead aesthetics) and googled for bloody pics. I nearly threw up a few times tho while doing so.
Finding pics is a harder job than you might think; I would say it takes more time than the editing itself, but I can’t say for sure cause once I start editing I’m lost in some sort of tunnel and suddenly it’s dark outside. When I want to google for ‘natural’ pics, I mostly add ‘snapchat’ or ‘instagram’ behind it (e.g. ‘couple eating take out food snapchat’). Also, you can find good pics on pinterest (my Pinterest name is ‘Marie Rosa’ btw), especially aesthetical and gay couple pics!
Deciding is even harder cause I often have 50 pics in my folder and can only use 12. Then, I check which one I definitely want to have in the edit and which I liked best and are the most decent ones to the images I had in mind.
When there are people on it, it’s also important that they look like the characters they should portrait. After that, I still have 20 pics left and cry because I love them all. Then I make two new folders to decide which ones are for Liam’s and which ones are for Theo’s profile and then I delete some more pics with a hurting heart (or I save them for other edits some day) and look which pics fit best together (when I edit aesthetics, similar color is a big topic). The biggest mess is when I get more ideas during editing or realize that one pic I thought I liked doesn’t fit at all and stop to look for more pics and the whole order I had is thrown away again and I need to start again. :’D
My goodness, I remember seeing you and Sammy (@glitter-cake20) talk about finding pics before on Discord, but that is…really involved. Are there times when you create your own images instead? If so, which edits/manips have been your favorite?
I would say the Hunger Games one was my best manip, but I also like the one in the Thiam parent AU where I replaced Cody’s cat with a baby two times. And, nearly all manips I did for my Airplanes series, especially Disney Kiss (I just edited Dylan on Cody’s ex-girlfriend…lol…no regrets), the bowling pic, all the pack video calls in which I added some more heads and the ones of Derek and Stiles in NYC. I also love the one of Mason and Liam carrying watermelons in the Dirty Dancing AU and the whole Daredevil Thiam (+Morey) AU is also one of my favorites cause it’s so aesthetical. I mean in the end I nearly love them all cause I wouldn’t have posted them if not.
You’ve mentioned CaptainMintyFresh’s Airplanes a few times. What inspired the idea to make instagram posts for the guys’ journey? So far, which has been your favorite chapter to conceptualize? And why?
I don’t really know how it started but I was editing my other ones and Tagan kept mentioning certain pic scenarios. (I think it was around the waterpark chapter.) I was just like: ”She’s giving so many good patterns why don’t you try to make Insta profiles to the chapters.” It was one of my best decisions cause I loved it, even if it was a pain in the ass! I finally managed to catch up and since then I feel so empty…sounds strange but my past few months were spend with Thiam and Airplanes and suddenly, I’m free. I was looking forward to editing other things again and I did but on the other side, I feel lost and don’t even know what to edit or I’m not in the mood. I have an Airplanes hangover or something. :’D
My favorite to conceptualize were probably the Disney chapters (it used to be the lake chapter but since editing Disney, I like that more) but every chapter was fun in it’s own way. (I’m planning on doing a commenting on the airplanes edits after Airplanes is finished).
I also think you can see how my skills improved while editing when you look at the first chapter edits and the last ones. That’s maybe the thing I’m most grateful about; it gave me the chance to experiment and grow along with the Fic and the characters.
Aww, that’s quite poetic. And, now we have Chapter 39 out, so you must feel the inkliest bit complete!
And, now I can feel the inkiest bit better about the next question to come.
CHALLENGE TIME! If you seen how BTS works, you know we love giving you the Time to Shine! For your first challenge, you can bring any of your insta posts to life in the TW Universe. Which would you choose? Set the scene for how that pic was taken.
I mean I would say the airplane series but it’s not my story so I’m gonna go with one of my single edits.
Then I would say the Parent AU cause I’m a bitch for parent Thiam. I’m gonna go with the pic of the crying baby with the title ‘Great. My son has my husband’s attitude’.
Liam sends Theo to the store with Leo after a discussion so he has some peace and can clean the house without interruptions. Leo won’t stop crying on top of his lungs in the middle of the store and Theo sighs while resting his forehead on the shopping cart (I hope that’s what it’s called). Then, he looks up again and gets his phone out to snap a picture and post it to show everyone that not only Liam is a whining little shit torturing him but now also his son. He laughs at himself for the joke which makes Leo stop crying and laugh with him instead. Theo takes that as an encouragement for his joke and carries him on his arm for the rest of the shopping trip, When they return home, he’s greeted by Liam who’s trying to look pissed but fails and just smirks at him and giving him a slight slap on the arm.
Hahahaha, yes! Dig it. And yes, it’s totally called a shopping cart (at least in my state). One final challenge before we wrap up? Since your images are always so unique to the theme, which pictures/ types of pictures would you use for these one word/phrase prompts:
Celebrity
Stuck at the Airport
Blind Date Gone Wild
Do you just want one pic or a collage of some good pics I would use? BUT I would love to do the whole edit. :’D
Heck yeah, we’d love a whole edit!!
FINALLY, done! Amen.
Wow!! I’m stunned. Over 80 pictures. 6 Days. 3 WHOLE POSTS!?! Plus Comment Posts! Honestly, how do you do it? Everyone, definitely go check these out; their linked with their respective challenges below!
[ Celebrity | Stuck at the Airport | Blind Date Gone Wild ]
While we all marvel at that, can we expect any other Thiam instagram themes from you in the future?
Of course. I have an Thiam folder with 357 a folder for the upcoming Mockingjay AU with 37 and my airplanes folder with still 194 pics. Somehow and someday I’m gonna use them all. Planned is to finish the Hunger Games series, cause I still need to do Mockingjay and I also have so many good parenting pics left so there’s definitely going to be another parent Thiam AU and some random ones.
It depends on my mood and requests I get or if I’m suddenly inspired by a pic to edit a specific theme. I also want to make more of Thiam x other fandoms, like Maze Runner, Divergent and so on but I also want to edit for so many other fandoms and ships. Why is there so less time in my mortal life?
Who knows? If only time stopped during the Fandom spurts of our lives, then we could enjoy it as long as we wanted to. Aww, I’m sad to see us come to an end. Marie, what’s next for you?
Finish my apprenticeship in 2020 and have a job after that + moving out. The next thing I’m saving money on right now is my own car till august (I also want my first own TV and playstation and need a new laptop any maybe smartphone :’D). Other fix dates this year are german comic con in december or turning 20 on 27th June.
Of course, I’m gonna drown myself in more fandoms and editing (I mean I’ve already watched 7 new series in 2018).
Oooh, which new shows? (I know I said we were ending lol, but shows are my drug!)
I finally got myself netflix since streaming became officially illegal (it wasn’t actually legal or illegal before but they couldn’t do anything to you and it was safe) here last year and I used it to watch all the marvel netflix productions like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Daredevil, The Defenders, Luke Cage (which I haven’t finished cause Netflix won’t let me, every 30 seconds it crashes) and The Punisher. Jessica Jones and Daredevil are my favorites out of them. Then, I also watched How To Get Away With Murder….IT’S MY FUCKING NEW RELIGION! Coliver is giving me more than life. They’re goals.
(In case anyone is interested in what I’m watching and stuff here’s my TV TIME name: MarieRo)
OMG, Ok, Ok, let me end this before I start a rampage about all things Marvel. Thanks so much for hanging with us at the Thiam Lib and letting us get to know you! Is there anything else you’d like to add, including any life/creating wisdom? Write until your heart’s content.
There are SO MANY intelligent things to say, but I’ll go with: Don’t give a shit about what other people think but always be open for other people’s opinions and teachings BUT don’t believe anything blindly. Just survive somehow tbh.
I have some other blogs on tumblr: @marierosaurus (random shit I like, sexual or funny af, just everything) @music-is-all-i-need-in-life (my music fandoms) @edsheeranfanblog (as you can maybe tell….a blog for Ed Sheeran?) @youtube-fan-live (blog for mostly german youtube)
(Instagram (about my traveling and just random private instagram shit): marierosarius)
I also want to thank you Minna for doing all this (bts is such a cool idea and keeping us inspired with the movie fest and stuff has to be so much work!) and especially for inviting me in the Thiam Discord pack chat 4 or 5 month ago. It’s been a wild ride and I maybe would’ve never known about that chat without you.
I love that chat and how we spend the christmas holidays together and thiam got so much more intense and it’s not even only about thiam anymore we also exchange about many other fandoms and we cried so many smut tears together (I mean that nsfw chat is on fire and I remember voice chat talks between in that christmas holidays we will burn in hell for and I love it :’D) and also fluff and angst tears but mostly smut tbh.
Just thanks for everything the Thiam community gave me, I said earlier that thiam gave me ‘tumblr fame’ and that sound stupid but it did, cause I edited before and nobody gave a single shit and reblogged or liked anything. Thiam was the best thing that could happen to me, even if I mostly edit for myself cause I like it and it’s fun, I can’t deny that it motivates you and makes you happy when other appreciate your work. Even not Teen Wolf or Thiam related posts / reblogs are noticed and it makes me so happy. Ok, sorry for bothering you with all my stupid talking. All I have left to say is: Meow
Awww, thanks so much for the love! Hahaha, our first Discord chat feels like so long ago now lol. And I also wouldn’t be here without my other Thiam Library Mods, esp Tiffany, Esme, Lizzie, Euthoxia, and Vis. They keep me inspired and grounded when life gets crazy. Just as you all, the Thiam Fandom, keep us inspired with your interactions and massive talent. We love you all!
With that, Behind the Screens presents Marie to you! If you want even more, you can read her questions that didn’t make it into the official interview here! Of course, the conversation doesn’t stop here. Not only can you chat with her on her 4 other blogs AND TV TIME, you can find her at these places too:
Main Tumblr: fandomtrashwhore
Inbox/Ask: fandomtrashwhore ask
Wattpad: Marierosarius
Instagram: marierosarius
Snapchat: marierosarius

She’s also accepting prompts and the like, so hit her up!
We’d like to thank Marie for entertaining our many questions and challenges!! We have tons more BTS coming in the next few weeks, so stay on the look out for those <3
Have a Thiam Creator you fan over? Send us their names. Likewise, if you as the creator, would like to be a part of the Behind the Screens series, give us a shout too! We’d love to get to know you, as well.

Special (Joshua Matthews)
From: Girl Meets World
Warnings: Lucaya ftw
You and the gang were all sitting in Topanga's discussing about your lives.
"Guys, I'm finally over Uncle Boing!" Maya exclaims happily.
"I'm glad you gave up your dream on becoming my aunt Maya" Riley says pinching her blonde haired friend's cheeks.
"About time" Lucas mumbles.
You look at him and chuckle at how obvious he is about his feelings for Maya. "Who is Uncle Boing anyway?" You ask.
You see, you only came in the school during the middle of the school year. It was hard at first but you met these 7 people and everything made that better. Soon you didn't struggle. But you still didn't know everybody yet.
"My uncle" Riley replies nonchalantly.
"I think we've established that, I mean, what does he look like and how young or old is he?" you asked rambling about facts you wanted to know.
The gang looked at me and smiled amused. "What?" you asked bothered by all their stares. "Well let's go to Riley's apartment for game night" Farkle announced and with that they all started to pack up. You stood there shocked to see your friends ignore all your questions, so you ended up brushing it off and going up too. You see, they all had it from the moment they met you, they all knew that you and Josh wouldn’t get along. Why? Well you were both fun people in general and you guys were very similar. And the best part, to them anyway, was you were only a year older them making them in your year but being a small enough age gap for Josh.
You all walked in the Matthew’s residence.
“Hi guys” Topanga greets smiling
“Hi mom” Riley smiles warmly
“Ready for game night?” She asks while setting up the table
Riley looks at all of us smiling, “Ready to beat you! RING POWER” she yells grabbing Maya and bringing her to the couch. Maya looks at her goofy friend then whispers something in her ear. “But we have to strategize….” Riley yells nervously then drags Maya to her room. “What was that all about” You asked generally confused. “It’s just Riley and Maya, aren’t you used to it by now?” Farkle explains. “Yeah it’s just odd” You say shaking your head.
They come out grinning at you and the boys. “Okay this is just creepy” you say eyeing the two girls. But what you failed to see was the boys grinning at each other too… Along with Smackle.
*Ding dong*
“Who could that be?” You thought to yourself.
“I don’t know” Riley says in a I-know-who-but-im-pretending-not-to voice
You shook your head smiling as Lucas opened the door. And there you saw the most gorgeous man ever. He was tall, had black hair and had an incredibly charming smile. “Hi kiddies” The gorgeous man says walking in and waving at everyone. “Who are you?” You ask confused. “That’s my line” he laughs. “Uncle Josh, this is y/n. Y/n, uncle Josh” Riley introduces. “Hi” You say waving shyly. “Hi back” he winks
“OKAY WE’RE PLAYING THE GAME OF LIFE” Corey says running in the room with a box. “You serious?” You ask confused. “Dead serious now go pick a partner” he says setting up the board game. You turn around to see everyone paired, Riley and Maya, Lucas and Farkle, Cory and Topanga (duh), Ava and Auggie and Zay and Smackle. “Come on guys, who’s going to be my partner” You whine. “And that, that right there, that right there that you said, would probably be me” Josh says patting the seat beside him. You blush and walk over to him. “Well since we’ll be a team, I’m f/n l/n but you can call me y/n”
“Joshua, Joshua Matthews, but call me Josh” he says winking yet again.
You and Josh play the game finding out you have a lot in common. “And yeah I laughed so hard milk ran up my nose” You said finishing your story. It was the end of the first half of your game and you were all telling jokes and sharing stories. Everyone laughed at your story, including josh, in fact, he laughed the hardest. Everyone could see that you two looked cute together. “MATTHEWS THE SNACKS ARE ALL GONE” Maya yells getting out of the kitchen. “Gone? We bought a whole grocery cart of snacks” Topanga says looking at Corey. “You did buy that much…… right?” She says glaring at Corey. “I did I swear” Corey says raising his hands up. We all look at the kitchen to see if what Maya says is real. Then we saw Ava eating all the chips and snacks. “You got no snacks no more” she says stuffing her mouth. Topanga rolls her eyes and grabs Corey, “We’ll be back soon, we just need to buy more snacks”
And with that, they were out the door.
“So y/n” Josh begins. “Hold up Matthews, we need to talk” Maya says walking in and grabbing Josh.
“I guess I’ll talk to you later?” Josh shouts following Maya into Riley’s room.
“What is it Riles” Josh asks staring at the hyperactive brunette. “You like y/n/n don’t you” she asks grinning. “what no i don’t” he says quickly…. too quickly in fact. “Suuuuuuuure” she replies locking the door. “Now why’d you do that kiddie?” Josh asks walking towards the door. Riley blocks it then answers “Because you have feelings for y/n now sit” she says pointing to the bay window
Josh sighs but sits anyway. “Besides even if i do like her aren’t I just hurting Maya?” he asks his niece as she sits beside him.
“Let me stop you right there Matthews. I am so over you.” Maya says opening the window. “Oh… But the age difference. I’m college, she’s high school-“ Josh starts but is cut off by Maya “and she’s too young yada yada-“ Riley cuts her off and says “Yeah but we both know she’s special”
Josh thinks about it and walks out.
“Think we changed something?” Riley asks her favorite blonde haired friend. “we’ll see Riles….. We’ll see” she replies as they both walk back to the living room.
“We’re back. Are you ready to play?” Topanga asks walking in. “Yeah” Josh says grabbing your hand. You blush and look at him, wondering why he’s holding your hand. “BROTHA, long game or short game? Which path is it?” Corey asks giving Josh cards. “Short game…. She’s a keeper” he says winking at you

Hey all, Dani here.
So you might be asking, “hey Dani, wasn’t Gen Con at the beginning of the month? Why do a wrap up now?” Well, I had one of my blog buddies say she would love to read about my time at Gen Con, especially as she wants to start trying to diversify her conventions, but she also wanted more information first.
Plus, when you get a little removed from an event (or a book/movie/etc), it is easier to distance yourself from any super happy or super upset feelings you might have had at the time, and you can write a more factual and balanced review of everything. Or at least that’s what I’m telling myself.
Gen Con is a gaming convention, and it features hundreds of game developers and companies, as well as business that sell game accessories. Now when I say gaming convention, the easy assumption is that I am talking about video games, but I don’t think I have seen any sort of video or console type game there. No, this is a gaming convention for tabletop gaming, which means board games, card games, dice games, and tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons.
This year was the 51st Gen Con and it was even bigger than the previous year. The photos don’t even come close to showing how large or crowded this convention is, because there are just so many wonderful geeks in the world, and events like this really help you to see how not alone in the world you are. It is currently held in Indianapolis, Indiana, and it is an amazing experience. The convention itself takes up the entire Indiana Convention Center, plus they have also spread out into several of the nearby hotels, and Lucas Oil Stadium (which is the arena where the local NFL team, the Indianapolis Colts, are based). What I love about having part of Gen Con in the football stadium is that they house the gaming library there, and if you have purchased a pass to use the library, then you can go there 24 hours a day through the four day convention and borrow a game to play. Yes, a bunch of lovely geeks swarm through this holy house of jock-dom for four whole days.
We actually went to Indianapolis a day early, on August 1st, so we wouldn’t have to wake up at 5am the next day to make the three hour drive. It ended up being the best decision we could have made. We were able to pick up all of our tickets that day, and also just relax a bit. Okay, so we also went to an Irish pub (O’Reilly’s Irish Pub) for my birthday, which then turned into the Irish pub and then a Scottish pub (MacNiven’s). So I had a Shepard’s Pie, and then we had bread pudding for dessert. At the Scottish pub we had Scotch Eggs. Then we went to a comic book store (Downtown Comics) too, so naturally I picked up a few things.
And that’s just all the fun from the day before the convention. Now let’s get to the actual first day of Gen Con. It was a mad house, and we went straight for the Critical Role booth, because there was some cool merchandise that we were hoping to get, and we waited for a good half-hour or so to actually make it to the booth. But I ended up with dice and shirts and even a map for the current campaign, so I am super pleased.
I’m not going to lie guys…we spent most of our money on day one. There are just so many cool games and accessories and costume pieces. It is a geek wonderland. The first day of the convention was also a cool day because we got to meet Joe Mangianello. Now most people will probably recognize Joe from being in the show True Blood, or possibly from the Magic Mike movies. What you may not know is that he is a massive geek, loves D&D, and actually has a really cool gaming dungeon in his home. We waited for almost an hour to meet him, but it was totally worth the wait…and I got him to sign my Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Player’s Handbook, so that is also pretty awesome. Oh, and the game pictured below is A Song of Ice and Fire, and it is sort of a battlefield strategy game based on Game of Thrones. We watched it being playtested and it seemed pretty interesting. Of course neither my fiance nor our other buddy who went with us has seen the show (or read the books) so it was just a cool looking game to them.
Day two of the convention we spent a lot of time just running around and checking out some of the games. At most of the game developer booths, you can sit down and play the game before you buy it. Okay well if it is a shorter game you can play through the whole game, but longer games they pretty much prefer you to just play a few rounds to get an idea of how the game works. There are a lot of other people around who would also like to try playing the games. The highlight for day two of the convention for us was actually that evening after the convention center closed. We met up with the owners of our hometown game store and they actually bought us dinner at this bar (The Yard House). My fiance and I run a couple D&D campaigns for them and they wanted to thank us for everything we’ve done for the store. Free food is definitely the way to do that. But after that, we had tickets to go see Critical Role live. It was my second time going, but my fiance’s first, and I was so glad I got to share the experience with him. Oh, and there was a surprise guest star for the episode of Critical Role…Khary Payton, an actor some people may recognize from the Walking Dead.
We had an extremely lazy day for day three of the convention. Critical Role Live ended around 1 am, and then we had to walk back to the parking garage where our car was parked (only to discover that the parking garage had closed for the night, so we had to run around to figure out who to contact to get to our car). By the time we made it back to the hotel we were staying at, it was around 2:30 am. Because we were also low on spending money, we just decided to hang out at the hotel, enjoy the pool, watch some TV, and play some of the games we had purchased. The only convention event we had on our schedule for the day was going to Dungeon Master, which is a live interactive show. It ended up being a very entertaining show, but the real reason I got tickets for this particular show was that it was being opened with a concert by The Library Bards, and they are a geek parody band who makes covers of Top 40 hits by making them into geeky songs–for example “Zombie” by the Cranberries becomes a song about Deadpool and Harley Quinn cosplayers called “Black and Red”, and Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” becomes a LOTR/Hobbit song called “Gandalf.”
Finally, we made it to day four, the last day of the convention. We played a couple more games, and made a couple more purchases with the little spending money we had left. I will be completely honest everyone. I hate the last day of a convention. The last day means that I have to go home and return to my regular day-to-day schedule. It means leaving a place where I am surrounded by thousands of people who like a lot of the same stuff I do, and going back to a place where only a small percentage of people actually understand me. Leaving a convention after having such a great time is always difficult. But on our way back to our car before the three hour drive back home, I decided that we needed to get something to eat, and after walking past this pizza shop over a dozen times, we finally stopped into Giordano’s to get some Chicago Style Deep Dish pizzas.
I guess I should talk about this last picture. There are a lot of booths at Gen Con that give out these little ribbons that you can attach to your convention badge. For many attendees at the convention it becomes a scavenger hunt to collect as many as possible. I have seen people with enough ribbons hanging from their badge to make a long scarf or sash. It is impressive. We only went to Gen Con for one day in 2017, so I think we got one or two ribbons. Obviously this year I did much better, but I’m still hoping for a more impressive collection next year.
Next year I also plan to attend a few panels and/or workshops, because we didn’t really do that this year. There is a whole section of the convention that is a Writer’s Showcase, and they have some great industry professionals there to hold classes on worldbuilding or magic or editing, etc. The guests of honor this year were the duo behind S.A. Corey, author of The Expanse series. Previous years have had Patrick Rothfuss in attendance. Margaret Weis was there this year as well. So next year I definitely want to spend a little more time in the bookish side of Gen Con–though I did walk through that entire area on the show floor, and I will show off everything I purchased in my August Wrap-Up post.
Wow, okay, this post got pretty long. I hope you all enjoyed this look into our time at Gen Con. If you want me to talk more specifically on the games that we playtested and/or purchased, let me know. Because we found quite a few really fun games, and I like talking about more than just books. I’m your average geeky girl, with many geek hobbies.
Anyway, that’s all for today, and I will be back soon with more bookish content.
Gen Con Wrap Up Hey all, Dani here. So you might be asking, "hey Dani, wasn't Gen Con at the beginning of the month?

Scott: We found another one.
Kira: …
Kira: Please tell me you don’t mean another body.
Scott: No, I mean another huldra.
Kira: Really?
Scott: Yeah.
Kira: So what does that mean? Are they the killer?
Scott: Val doesn’t seem to think so. This kid doesn’t seem to have known what he is until now.
Kira: That’s good I guess.
Kira: Wait, I thought huldras were ‘a young woman’?
Scott: Yeah idk.
Scott: I guess mythology isn’t just ‘sometimes wrong’
Scott: It can be SUPER wrong.
Kira: Interesting.
Scott: What are you up to?
Kira: Training.
Scott: Ah. I’ll catch you later then :*
Kira: :* Later.
Kira sat seiza style on the floor of the mini dojo, her butt back on her heels and her legs under her. She turned her phone off and placed it on the stand away from where the practice swords, iaitos, and sharpened swords, shinkens, were displayed.
“I’m sorry,” Kira said to the fox. “But I’m sure you already know what that was about.”
I do. Now please, resume your practice.
Kira bowed respectfully and stood, retrieving an iaito from its place and unsheathed it.
Again.
Kira sighed, admonishing herself internally. She wondered if she was ever going to get something as seemly simple as unsheathing a sword right.
There is no need to abuse yourself. This just prolongs the act. Instead, learn from your failure and try again.
Kira slid the sword back into its saya. “So a little different than the ‘Do or do not do, there is no try?’”
The fox laughed. Though Lucas might have taken much from Japanese culture and philosophy – and let us be realistic, almost the plot of a classic samurai movie – he forgot something important; life is only ever a series of trying. If you never try then you never do.
Kira meditated on the thought for a moment. “That makes so much more sense than the black and white logic of the movies.”
The fox said nothing but Kira could feel that it affirmed her statement wordlessly. If it were a separate being it might have nodded or hummed an agreeing tone.
“He really screwed up.”
Yes, he did. Remember, I too saw the prequels when your parents took you to see them when you were 4.
She chuckled to herself. “Dad always was a Star Wars nerd.”
Now please, try it again.
The Kira freed the iaito from its sheath and brought it out as far as her continuous lessons told her to.
Good. You’ve improved greatly on the basics. We will now start on ‘Tanrengata.’ Do you know what that word means?
Kira slid the sword back into the saya. “I know that… ‘tanren’ refers to the process of sword making. Removing impurities from the metal.”
Yes. Like a smith removes impurities from steel as he folds it many times, we shall remove the impurities from your movements when you fight. This means that we will go over these many times. Are you ready?
“Yes. But I wonder…”
Yes my child?
“Will you also teach me to control my powers? I had to harm myself to jumpstart my healing ability when we were in Mexico, and I still don’t know how much control I have over electricity or what I can do with it… I lost control at the only lacrosse game coach ever let me play--”
We will get to that. A mighty building needs a strong foundation and such a foundation is built with care and effort – and most importantly – time.
Kira tried not to sigh. She just wanted to help her friends.
Your reasoning for wanting control over your powers is admirable, but you must trust me.
Kira stood, quiet. She unsheathed the blade. “I trust you.”
Kira thought she felt the fox smile. Let’s begin.
Mason and Lydia sat at the kitchen table in Lydia’s house surrounded by papers as they tried to glean anything from the many bestiaries they had.
“’Determination’ my ass,” Lydia mumbled as she moved her arm and sent a bunch of papers to the floor. She sighed and leaned over to pick them up.
Mason looked around at the mess. “I feel like we’re being attacked.”
“I know I feel attacked.” Lydia said as she sat up and attempted to reorganize the papers that fell.
“No, by papers.”
“… Oh.”
“Like the many souls of hundreds of dead trees are coming for us, smothering us in paper cuts and the ink we’ve unwillingly pressed upon them.”
“We used an inkjet, so I don’t think it’s technically ‘pressing.’”
“You know what I mean,” Mason said with a laugh.
Lydia half-smiled and went back to taking notes from one of the bestiaries.
“Since you said you were attacked, I have to ask… do you hate Val?”
Lydia looked up. “I don’t know how I feel about her.”
“Because sometimes it seems like you like her and right now it seems like you don’t. I haven’t even met her so I have no idea why either would be the case.”
Lydia looked at the sea of papers and sighed. “I don’t know. She doesn’t really let people get close to her and sometimes she seems a little mean.”
“But… Scott said she’s cozied up with Deucalion. Another person I have yet to meet.”
“Yeah, it’s the weirdest thing. I wouldn’t have guessed that he would end up someone’s boyfriend someday. Although… I guess he probably /was/ at some point in the past. It’s just so weird. It’s like, I can’t seem to reconcile my idea of him before with the way he seems now, or my impression of her with the idea of her being with someone.”
Mason nodded.
“Don’t you usually have to be a nice person at the very least to find someone who likes you enough to live with you?”
“Well, she could be a lot nicer to him than to any of us. I’m guessing he’s at least closer to her age.”
“I guess.”
“If she’s as old as her myths are, I’m guessing we seem like more than just annoying, pissant teenagers to her. We’ve got to be like, fetuses to her. Fetuses who are just running around, annoying her with accusations.”
Lydia tilted her head. “Why do you sound like you’re her best friend? You haven’t even met her yet.”
“I just wonder what life is like when you live to be so old.” Mason organized some of the papers Do banshees live anywhere near that long?”
“I have no idea. We heal at about the same rate as humans so… I don’t know.”
Mason sat thoughtfully for a moment. “That must be so weird.”
“What?”
“Living so much longer than everyone else that you… even if you like people and want to make friends, the turnover is high. Someone you love is always going to die and they’ll either be taken away suddenly or you have to watch them waste away slowly. The only people worth dating if you’re into the long-term thing is other people who live as long as you do, and there has to only be a handful of them on the planet compared to the amount of people that exist. And let’s say she didn’t kill these guys—we have been suspecting her of some heavy crimes for a while now and she’s been nothing but cooperative… except the fleeing to the woods part.”
“Mason—”
“I just think that, even if she’s been mean, she’s been a lot nicer than I might be. Or you might be. Nicer than we /deserve/ maybe.”
Lydia raised an eyebrow. “Mason, you’re a saint. I don’t think you could be mean.”
Mason hemmed and hawed for a minute. “Listen, I could be mean if I had to be.”
“Nope. I still don’t think you could be,” Lydia smiled as she tapped a bunch of papers to realign them.
Mason decided not to continue it or it would become an argument. He organized the papers in front of him, sweeping them together into a pile. “What’s this?”
Lydia looked up and craned her next so she could see what he was talking about. “Oh, that’s a bunch of books that might exist.”
“Books that ‘might exist’?”
She nodded.
“What?”
“When we brought Corey to Val’s house she gave him a book. I’ve been trying to figure out what it might be.”
Mason peered at the papers. “And what do you think it is?”
Lydia sighed and put her head down on the table. “I have no idea.”
“Why didn't you ask?”
“I tried. She kicked us out of the house when she gave it to him and when I asked him what it was he said ‘homework.’”
Mason considered this for a moment. “I could try asking.”
Lydia’s face lit up at the idea.
“Hey,” Mason said as he sat down at the lunch table.
Corey looked up. “Hi. Do I know you?”
“I'm Mason. I'm friends with Scott and everyone.”
“Oh, hey. I'm Corey.”
Mason smiled. “So I'm sorry I didn't get to say hi to you yet. I was trying to tutor Liam in math and we couldn't make it to the whole thing of bringing you to Val’s house.”
“Oh, no worries,” Corey smiled back.
“I haven't even gotten to meet her yet. What’s she like?”
“Um… she's nice. She seems like someone you can really talk to, you know?”
“That's cool. I hope I get to meet her at some point.”
Corey nodded, still somewhat confused.
“Like, I've been doing all this research about her and trying to find out if she's the murderer, but I have yet to meet her.”
“Oh. Well… yeah, she's nice. She was nice to me at least.”
“Yeah… Lydia said she gave you a book?”
Corey felt his ears flex back in that way they do when one hears a frightening noise, vestigial muscles performing the function they would have done for his ancestors when they heard predators in the tall grass.
“Oh?”
“I don't want to pry--”
“Then maybe you shouldn't.”
Mason clammed shut.
Corey stared at him, debating taking his lunch to another table.
“I was wondering if you could maybe tell me what it is or what's in it, but I won't.”
Corey looked at him warily. “Why?”
“Because I can tell it's none of my business.”
They sat there quietly for a few moments as Mason resolved not to ask about it again and Corey considered him.
/Sorry, Lydia./ Mason thought.
Corey looked away.
A lengthy “Sooooo…” from Mason drew his attention.
Mason shrugged. “What about you?”
“What about me?” he repeated.
“Yeah. Tell me about yourself. What classes are you in? What's your favorite one? What are your hobbies? How do you like being a huldra?”
“Oh, so this is just you trying to find out about the book from another angle?” Corey asked pointedly.
“No, no. I'm asking about you. I don't want to know about the book. There is no book. What book? I haven't heard anything about a book.” Mason ate some of his food and shrugged.
Corey viewed him with a wry smile. “Biology.”
“Favorite class?”
“Yeah. Really, I think I want to be an ecologist, but bio is a good place to start.”
“What were you going to do with that? College?”
“I was considering it.”
“Where at?”
“I don’t know yet… the idea only came to be really recently.”
‘Yeah?”
“Yeah… Val told me about how huldras feel at peace in the wilderness, out in nature so I was thinking of doing something that would let me be outside most of the time.”
“Like a forest ranger or something?”
“Yeah, something like that.” Corey smiled.
“That’s probably a pretty cool job.”
“Yeah, I figure like… I get to be around trees all time, take care of them. It’d be quiet, it’d be isolated.”
“You want to be alone?”
“Are you asking if I want you to go away?”
Mason laughed.
“I did but you seem nice enough. I’m not really one for big cities. All that cement, all that glass and steel. It’s depressing, you know?”
“I think I understand.”
“And after Val said what she said I think like, I don’t know if it’s because I’m a huldra or what, but maybe it’s a good idea.”
“That’s good you’ve figured it out.”
Corey smiled.
“I haven’t really figured out what I want to do yet.”
“Well, what are you into?”
“Well… I’m passing all my classes so there isn’t like a ‘I hate math, but I love english’ kind of thing for me. I’m not really super into anything.”
Corey ate some of his food and thought. “That can be a problem.”
Mason nodded.
“What’s the last thing you spent a bunch of money on?”
“Uhhh,” Mason looked off into the distance as he tried to remember. “Uh… I think the last expensive thing I bought was a German book about werewolves when I found out Liam was one.”
“Well, that isn’t a lot but, maybe you’d like something where you get to do research?”
“Mmm, maybe. I did like reading that book though. Some of the fables were really interesting.”
“In what way?”
“Like… it made me wonder how much of it was real – I mean, for obvious reasons – but I also wondered how much of it was dictated by the author’s feelings. How much of the story was them and how much of it was something they had seen or heard? If that makes sense.”
“It does. Well, maybe you should become a historian. Or an anthropologist. Or a folklorist.”
Mason laughed. “You seem so sure.”
“Listen, I’ve only been /sure/ of a few things in my life so far, but sometimes you just have to go with something and hope it works out.”
“That’s really brave.”
Corey shrugged. “Just what I’ve learned from being alive.”
Mason nodded.
“I mean, listen, shit can upend your entire life but if it’s what you feel is really… truthful and correct and will give your life a positive net gain even though it means going through a lot of shit just to get there, then you just have to make the decision and go with it.”
Mason nodded again, wishing he had something to contribute.
“But hey, we still have time. I’m sure you’ll figure it out before then.”
Corey smiled earnestly, and Mason couldn’t help but be reassured by it.

The five best bets of the 2018 MLB season
yahoo
The Major League Baseball regular season is nearly upon us. After months of research, you’ve likely put together your thoughts on how each division will shake out. You know which teams will remain on top, and you know which teams are waiting to strike.
[Batter up: Join a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball league for free today]
It’s one thing to say you knew the Oakland Athletics would contend for the American League wild-card in September. It’s another to make your convictions known before the season actually starts.
That’s what we’re asking you to do here. Below, we’ve found five teams we think have the best chance to either go over or under their projected win total in 2018.
All the totals we’re using come courtesy of Bovada, in case you feel the urge to check them out yourself. And be sure to leave your favorite over/unders in the comments. That way, you can prove to your friends you thought this was the San Diego Padres’ year back in March.
LOS ANGELES ANGELS Win total: 84.5 Our take: Under The Angels made splashes early in the winter, signing Zack Cozart, trading for Ian Kinsler and winning the Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes. That win total suggests the team should be considered a significant threat for the American League wild-card, and that’s a tough pill to swallow if you’ve seen their rotation.
The team is lacking dependable starters. Garrett Richards and Tyler Skaggs have promise, but both have spent significant time on the disabled list in recent seasons. Matt Shoemaker was also injured in 2017, tossing just 77 2/3 innings. Even Ohtani was hurt in Japan, and didn’t pitch as much as usual. That leaves JC Ramirez as the only guy in the rotation who tossed over 100 innings last season.
It gets worse. To accommodate Ohtani, the team has said it’s going to use a six-man rotation. The main candidate for that spot, Andrew Heaney, is already dealing with elbow inflammation. The Angels do not have a strong farm system to replace any of those guys.
If you want a counterpoint, though, picking against Mike Trout is terrifying.
The Phillies will get a full year from Rhys Hoskins in 2018. (AP Photo)
PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES Win total: 75.5 Our take: Over The Phillies won 66 games in 2017. In order to win this one, you have to find a way the team got 10 wins better in the offseason. You can start with the additions of Carlos Santana and Jake Arrieta. Both players combined for roughly five wins in 2017. Done. That was easy. Figuring out where the next five wins will come from is a bit tougher, but the Phillies have what it takes to do it.
Much of the team’s improvement is based on their youngsters finally reaching the majors. J.P. Crawford and Nick Williams should have full seasons to show what they can do. Scott Kingery, who just signed a $24 million deal, should see significant time as well. Perhaps the biggest reason to be optimistic is that the team will get a full season of Rhys Hoskins. There’s nothing in Hoskins’ profile to suggest he’s a total fluke after last year’s breakout. Even if the home run rate drops, Hoskins could hit for a better average based on his low .241 BABIP. Aaron Nola is finally healthy, and could reach 200 innings for the first time. Are all those factors enough to get the Phillies five more wins? It’s close … but then consider how much worse the Miami Marlins got this winter and you should feel a lot more confident.
COLORADO ROCKIES Win total: 82 Our take: Under The offense should remain strong, so this one is all about the pitching staff. Behind Jon Gray, the Rockies are depending on two veterans who missed time in 2017 and two youngsters who have to prove last year was legitimate. The two veterans are Tyler Anderson and Chad Bettis. Neither player topped 81 innings in 2017. Anderson has decent strikeout and walk totals and could be OK. Bettis’ peripherals have never been overwhelming.
It’s almost exactly the same with the two youngsters. German Marquez had promising peripherals but an elevated ERA. Kyle Freeland walked a fine line. He’s not a big strikeout pitcher and he also walks more guys than you would like. If he slips just a little in either category, the team could have to consider other options.
Not convincing enough? Check the projection systems. FanGraphs has the Rockies pegged as an 80-win team in 2018. Baseball Prospectus is even more skeptical, projecting 78 wins from the club.
The White Sox might not be ready to compete yet, but they are a team on the rise. (AP Photo)
CHICAGO WHITE SOX Win total: 68 Our take: Over The White Sox aren’t going to be good in 2018, but will they really be this bad? The club only won 67 games in 2017, but there’s reason to think things will get better. For one, the club has very few assets to sell now. Jose Abreu could still bring something back, but he has value as a leader and mentor. Avisail Garcia is the only other piece who could be dealt. Even if those guys go, it won’t be a fire sale like last season, when the club dealt Jose Quintana, David Robertson, Todd Frazier and everyone else in the bullpen.
On top of that, the youngsters should improve. Lucas Giolito just turned in a tremendous spring and Yoan Moncada will get another year to get used to the majors. At some point, those two will be joined by both Eloy Jimenez and Michael Kopech, two highly-regarded prospects. And they might not be the only reinforcements on the way. James Shields probably won’t last the entire season, which seems like a good thing.
The team also signed Welington Castillo early in the offseason, and he should be worth an extra win on his own, so maybe we should have just led with that.
TAMPA BAY RAYS: UNDER 77.5 WINS Win total: 77.5 Our take: Under Ignore the projection systems! Yes, we know that sounds hypocritical after telling you to trust them for the Rockies, but Baseball Prospectus’ system, PECOTA, has routinely overrated the Rays. It happens every year. PECOTA anticipates the Rays will win 83 games this year. That’s not a typo. They’re not getting 83 wins and, heck, they’re not going to Bovada’s 77.5 projection either.
The Rays should be worse in 2018. They replaced Corey Dickerson and Evan Longoria with Denard Span and Matt Duffy. C.J. Cron, Adeiny Hechavarria and Joey Wendle are expected to receive a ton of at-bats.
The club is also going to utilize a four-man rotation, which could either be the next big innovation or a tremendous failure. We’re leaning toward the latter. And if things do go swimmingly early on, you have to wonder how the extra workload will impact the team’s relievers. Combine that with what could be a tough American League East, and the Rays could have a rough time staying afloat in 2018.

Way-too-early top 25 for the 2017-18 college basketball season
yahoo
North Carolina is your 2017 national champion. Confetti has fallen and settled on the University of Phoenix Stadium court. The final notes of One Shining Moment have sounded. A wonderful college basketball season is behind us.
And, just like that, a new one has begun.
A long offseason is ahead, but there’s no reason to delay the anticipation. So it’s top 25 time — way-too-early, absurdly early, foolishly early top 25 time.
A lot will change between now and November. Six five-star recruits remain uncommitted. Plenty of momentous NBA draft early-entry decisions haven’t yet been made (we’ve made educated guesses below). Players will transfer. Injuries will bite. The following rankings will surely look different two months from now, and even more different six months from now. But with all that being said…
Ladies and gentlemen, your first look at the top 25 for the 2017-18 college basketball season:
1. KENTUCKY Key losses: F Derek Willis, G Dominique Hawkins, G Mychal Mulder, G Malik Monk (projected), De’Aaron Fox, F Bam Adebayo (projected) Key returners: Isaiah Briscoe (projected), Isaac Humphries (projected), Wenyen Gabriel, Sacha Killeya-Jones Notable newcomers: G Hamidou Diallo, F P.J. Washington, C Nick Richards, G Jarred Vanderbilt, G Quade Green, F Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Outlook: John Calipari has a five-man lineup of five-star recruits, one at every position, set to arrive for the 2017-18 campaign. Diallo has been on campus since January, and might be the best of the bunch. The Wildcats also have two highly-touted 2016 recruits, Gabriel and Killeya-Jones, who should be sticking around for their sophomore seasons. If Briscoe and Adebayo choose to stay too, watch out — this is the preseason No. 1. If one or both leave… uh, still, watch out. Big Blue could be scary.
2. ARIZONA Key losses: G Kadeem Allen, F Lauri Markkanen, G Kobe Simmons (projected), G Allonzo Trier (projected) Key returners: G Rawle Alkins (projected), G Parker Jackson-Cartwright, C Dusan Ristic, F Chance Comanche Notable newcomers: G Dylan Smith, F DeAndre Ayton, G Brandon Randolph, F Ira Lee, G Alex Barcello
Outlook: A few big NBA draft decisions have yet to be made, so it’s difficult to project Arizona, but even if all three of Simmons, Trier and Alkins leave, this has the looks of a top-10 team. Jackson-Cartwright and Ristic are very solid college players, Comanche has a big developmental offseason ahead of him, and the incoming freshman class is one of the nation’s best (it also could still grow). Ayton should start, and likely star, from day one. If Alkins returns, as it seems he should, the Wildcats will be clear favorites in the Pac-12. If Trier does as well, the Wildcats are probably the preseason No. 1.
3. KANSAS Key losses: G Frank Mason, C Landen Lucas, F Josh Jackson (projected) Key returners: G Devonte’ Graham (projected), F Svi Mykhailiuk (projected), G Lagerald Vick, C Udoka Azubuike, F Carlton Bragg, F Dwight Coleby Notable newcomers: G Malik Newman, G Sam Cunliffe, F Billy Preston, G Marcus Garrett
Outlook: Not many teams can lose the national player of the year, a top-five NBA draft pick and a starting center and return to the top five the following year. But, by the same token, not many teams — or rather, no other team — can win 13 consecutive Big 12 titles, claim a top-two seed in the NCAA tournament eight years in a row, and claim a top-four seed 17 years in a row. Kansas is in a league of its own. And despite the losses of Mason and Jackson, the 2017-18 Jayhawks will be outstanding. Graham is ready to be a lead guard. Mykhailiuk and Vick are already above average Big 12 wings, and should be even better next year. Azubuike showed a lot of promise before his injury. Add in transfers Newman and Cunliffe (who isn’t eligible until the second semester), two talented freshmen and possibly one or two more recruits, and a 14th-straight Big 12 title, plus another top-two seed, seem very probable.
4. GONZAGA Key losses: C Przemek Karnowski, G Jordan Mathews, F Zach Collins (projected) Key returners: G Nigel Williams-Goss (projected), F Johnathan Williams, G Josh Perkins, F Killian Tillie, G Silas Melson, F Rui Hachimura, C Jacob Larsen, G Zach Norvell Notable newcomers: G Corey Kispert
Outlook: We feel a little uneasy slotting the Zags this high given the expected loss of both rim-protectors, but there’s still a ton to like about next year’s roster, especially if Williams-Goss returns after coming so close to a national title. A frontcourt of Williams and Tillie would be very potent on the offensive end. The backcourt will have loads of experience and ability. There are also the wildcards of Larsen and Norvell, both of whom redshirted this past year. Gonzaga could essentially be adding two more top-50 recruits if both are what the Zags think they could be — and we’ve seen how the program has used redshirt years to great effect with other players. So even with the departures, this could be one of Mark Few’s most talented teams.
Gonzaga should be a contender again next year if Nigel Williams-Goss stays in school. (AP)
5. WICHITA STATE Key losses: None Key returners: F Markis McDuffie, G Landry Shamet, F Shaq Morris, F Zach Brown, G Conner Frankamp, F Darral Willis, F Rashard Kelly, G Daishon Smith, F Rauno Nurger, G Austin Reaves Notable newcomers: G Samajae Jones
Outlook: Wichita State is reportedly likely on its way to the American Athletic Conference. If it weren’t, offseason discussion of a possible unbeaten season wouldn’t be outlandish — that’s how good this Shockers team is going to be. All 10 members of a 10-man rotation are back, and so is coach Gregg Marshall. Wichita State finished the 2016-17 season eighth in Ken Pomeroy’s rankings, and should find itself back in the top 10 from the jump next year.
6. VILLANOVA Key losses: F Josh Hart, F Kris Jenkins, C Darryl Reynolds Key returners: G Jalen Brunson, F Mikal Bridges, G Donte DiVincenzo, G Phil Booth, F Eric Paschall, C Omari Spellman Notable newcomers: F Jermaine Samuels, F Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree
Outlook: The greatest senior class in school history is gone; on the other hand, a handful of players are ready to blow up. Bridges could be a star with some refinement of his offensive game. Brunson was overshadowed by Hart, but is one of the best point guards in college basketball. DiVincenzo will be a popular breakout candidate. Spellman, the freshman center who was ruled ineligible last season, was the missing piece in Villanova’s frontcourt puzzle, but his delayed arrival could be worth the wait. If Booth is healthy, and if one of the freshmen emerges as a contributor, this is a top-five team. If neither of those things occurs, it’s still the Big East favorite. Plus… Jay Wright. He’s great. Even if you have questions about the talent or depth, at this point, you can’t doubt the program.
7. LOUISVILLE Key losses: C Mangok Mathiang, G Tony Hicks, G David Levitch, G Donovan Mitchell (projected) Key returners: G Quentin Snider, F Deng Adel (projected), C Anas Mahmoud, F Jaylen Johnson (projected), F Ray Spalding, G V.J. King, G Ryan McMahon Notable newcomers: C Malik Williams, G Darius Perry, F Jordan Nwora
Outlook: Losing Mitchell would be a blow, but Louisville has enough pieces in reserve to take the potential blow in stride. Snider had a down year that was interrupted by injury, but should be the team’s leader as a senior. Adel and Johnson have both entered their names for the draft, but neither has hired an agent; both should be back. King at times appeared ready to step into a more significant role alongside Snider. Williams, the best of four incoming freshmen, will make the four-man frontcourt rotation fearsome. If Mitchell goes (he is also testing the waters without hiring an agent), Louisville lacks the star power of most top-10 teams, but it will have depth, experience and a Hall of Fame coach. That’s more than most teams can say.
8. DUKE Key losses: F Amile Jefferson, G Matt Jones, F Jayson Tatum, F Harry Giles, F Chase Jeter, G Luke Kennard (projected) Key returners: G Grayson Allen (projected), G Frank Jackson (projected), C Marques Bolden Notable newcomers: F Wendell Carter, G Gary Trent Jr., G Alex O’Connell
Outlook: Duke is the single most difficult team to project on this list. A month from now, it could be looking at an eight-man rotation of Jackson, Allen, Kennard, Carter, Mohamed Bamba, Trent Jr., Trevon Duval and Kevin Knox. (The Blue Devils are in the mix for Bamba, Duval and Knox — the top three uncommitted class-of-2017 prospects and all top-10 recruits — and are serious players for all three.) It also could miss out on the recruits, lose Kennard and Allen, and be left with a threadbare roster that would struggle to compete in the top tier of the ACC. The most likely scenario seems to be that Allen and Jackson return to form a formidable backcourt with Trent and O’Connell, and the Blue Devils get one of the three big unsigned high school players. That would be an ACC contender and a borderline top-five team.
That’s right, college basketball fans. Grayson Allen could be back at Duke for his senior year. (Getty)
9. WEST VIRGINIA Key losses: G Tarik Phillip, F Nathan Adrian, G Teyvon Myers, F Brandon Watkins Key returners: G Jevon Carter, F Esa Ahmad, G Daxter Miles, F Elijah Macon, F Lamont West, F Sagaba Konate Notable newcomers: F Derek Culver, G Brandon Knapper, F D’Angelo Hunter
Outlook: Adrian’s departure leaves a sizable hole in the Mountaineer frontcourt, but Bob Huggins has the talent and depth to fill it. He also still has the reigning Big 12 defensive player of the year in Carter, one of Carter’s two backcourt running mates and the Big 12 sixth man of the year, Miles, and a bevy of frontcourt options. Ahmad and West should rise into larger roles. Provided a third guard steps up, West Virginia should be the main competition for Kansas in the Big 12.
10. NORTH CAROLINA Key losses: C Kennedy Meeks, F Isaiah Hicks, G Nate Britt, G Stilman White, F Justin Jackson (projected) Key returners: G Joel Berry, G Theo Pinson, F Tony Bradley (projected), F Luke Maye, G Kenny Williams, G Seventh Woods Notable newcomers: G Jalek Felton
Outlook: The defending national champions will likely lose three starters and a fourth rotation player, but there’s a lot to like about next year’s projected core. Even if Berry doesn’t improve, he’s a first team All-ACC candidate. Bradley should take a giant leap forward with more playing time. The thing to like more than anything else, though, might be Roy Williams and his coaching staff. They’ve led one of the best developmental programs in the country over the past five years. They will need big offseasons from one or both of Williams and Woods if they’re to successfully defend their ACC title, but given the year-to-year individual improvement of other players in the recent past, you’ve got to trust that those offseason strides will be taken, and that Carolina will be better next winter than it looks to be on paper right now.
11. MICHIGAN STATE Key losses: G Eron Harris, G Alvin Ellis, F Miles Bridges (projected) Key returners: F Nick Ward, G Cassius Winston, G Josh Langford, G Lourawls ‘Tum Tum’ Nairn, G Matt McQuaid, F Kenny Goins, F Gavin Schilling Notable newcomers: F Jaren Jackson, C Xavier Tillman
Outlook: According to Tom Izzo, Bridges is having a tougher time with his NBA decision than many, including Izzo himself, expected. If Bridges surprises all of us and stays in East Lansing, the Spartans are a top-10 team. Even if he jets for the pros, though, Sparty might be the Big Ten favorite. The other three members of a sparkling freshman class are back, as is Schilling, a chiseled 6-foot-9 senior who missed all of last season due to injury. Toss two stud recruits into the equation, and possibly a third, and the Spartans look primed for a return to the top tier of college hoops.
12. FLORIDA Key losses: G Kasey Hill, G Canyon Berry, F Justin Leon, F Devin Robinson (projected) Key returners: G KeVaughn Allen, C John Egbunu, G Chris Chiozza, F Kevarrius Hayes Notable newcomers: G Jalen Hudson, F DeAundrae Ballard, F Isaiah Stokes
Outlook: Mike White has done an incredible job in just two years in Gainesville, and although roster turnover could take its toll, there aren’t overwhelming reasons to expect steep regression in year three. Robinson has declared for the draft without signing an agent for the second-straight year. Even if he leaves, Allen, Chiozza and Hudson, a transfer from Virginia Tech, will form one of the SEC’s best backcourts. Hayes showed promise late in the season after Egbunu went down with an injury. If Robinson returns for his senior season, the Gators could challenge Kentucky for the conference crown.
13. CINCINNATI Key losses: G Troy Caupain, G Kevin Johnson Key returners: G Jacob Evans (projected), F Kyle Washington, F Gary Clark, G Jarron Cumberland, F Nysier Brooks Notable newcomers: G Cane Broome, G Keith Williams
Outlook: The Bearcats should have their two best players back in Evans and Washington. They’ll also welcome the addition of Broome, a transfer from Sacred Heart. Broome was the 2015-16 NEC player of the year. After a mandatory year on the sidelines, the 6-foot guard is ready to confront the AAC head-on. Mick Cronin’s teams are always strong on the defensive end; if Broome, Evans and Washington become a threatening trio on the offensive end, Cronin could have his best Cincinnati squad yet.
14. USC Key losses: None Key returners: F Chimezie Metu (projected), F Bennie Boatwright (projected), F Shaqquan Aaron (projected), G Jordan McLaughlin, G Elijah Stewart, G De’Anthony Melton, G Jonah Mathews, F Nick Rakocevic Notable newcomers: G Derryck Thornton, G Charles O’Bannon Jr., G Jordan Usher
Outlook: If NBA draft decisions go Andy Enfield’s way, the Trojans will have everybody back from a team that fell a few possessions short of the Sweet 16. Enfield went 2-16 and 3-15 in the Pac-12 in his first two seasons in Los Angeles, but as he’s gotten his own players in to replace the leftovers of the previous regime, his program has been steadily rising. The 2017-18 season could turn out to be what USC has been building toward.
USC could be a power in the Pac-12 if Bennie Boatwright returns to school. (Getty)
15. SAINT MARY’S Key losses: G Joe Rahon, F Dane Pineau Key returners: F Jock Landale, G Emmett Naar, G Calvin Hermanson, F Evan Fitzner, F Tanner Krebs Notable newcomers: G Kristers Zoriks
Outlook: St. Mary’s has won 29 games two years in a row, and has the majority of the core of both those teams back for a third year. The most important piece is Landale, who finished the year second in Ken Pomeroy’s player of the year rankings. The Gaels don’t have the talent of a Gonzaga or a Wichita State, but it’s clear that what Randy Bennett has built in Moraga is sustainable.
16. BUTLER Key losses: F Andrew Chrabascz, G Kethan Savage, G Avery Woodson, G Tyler Lewis Key returners: F Kelan Martin, G Kamar Baldwin, F Tyler Wideman, F Sean McDermott, F Nate Fowler Notable newcomers: G Paul Jorgensen, F Kyle Young, G Christian David
Outlook: The pedigree of Butler’s system and player development overrides some of the concerns that arise from the losses of four senior contributors. So does the presence of Martin, who returns as the Bulldogs’ best player and best scorer. Baldwin is going to be a stud by the end of his career, and could already be one of the better point guards in the Big East as a sophomore. He’ll play alongside Jorgensen, who transferred in from George Washington a year ago. Chris Holtmann has also signed arguably the best recruiting class in school history. At the least, Butler should maintain its place in the Big East’s top four for the fourth consecutive season.
17. TCU Key losses: F Brandon Parrish, F Karviar Shepherd Key returners: G Alex Robinson, F Kenrich Williams, G Jaylen Fisher, F Vladimir Brodziansky, G Desmond Bane, F JD Miller Notable newcomers: C Kevin Samuel, G R.J. Nembhard, F Andre Pierce, F Lat Mayen
Outlook: Lists of 2017-18 surprise teams, meet TCU. TCU, meet 2017-18 surprise teams lists. The two will be inseparable over the next seven months. The Horned Frogs have all five starters from the 2017 NIT championship squad back in 2017-18, plus starting point guard Jaylen Fisher, the top recruit in school history, who broke his wrist in the NIT opener. TCU was better than expected in year one under Jamie Dixon, and will be better yet in year two. The pieces are there for a first tournament bid in 20 years.
18. NOTRE DAME Key losses: F V.J. Beachem, G Steve Vasturia, F Austin Torres, F Matt Ryan Key returners: F Bonzie Colson (projected), G Matt Farrell, G Temple Gibbs, G Rex Pflueger, F Martinas Geben Notable newcomers: F D.J. Harvey
Outlook: The Irish won’t have too much depth, but Mike Brey has favored a short rotation in recent years anyway. With Farrell and Colson (likely) back and Gibbs hopefully evolving into a 25-minute-per-game player or something more, the core is strong. Also at Brey’s disposal will be Harvey, Notre Dame’s highest-rated recruit since Demetrius Jackson.
19. UCLA Key losses: Lonzo Ball, TJ Leaf, Isaac Hamilton, Bryce Alford, Ike Anigbogu (projected) Key returners: Aaron Holiday (projected), Thomas Welsh, Gyorgy Goloman Notable newcomers: F Kris Wilkes, G Jaylen Hands, F Cody Riley, F Jalen Hill, F Chris Smith, F LiAngelo Ball
Outlook: The two players most responsible for transforming UCLA from a sub-.500 disappointment into a national title contender are off to the NBA. Two other starters are also moving on. Anigbogu, who’d be a popular breakout candidate if he were to stay, could turn pro as well. There’ll be a ton of roster turnover, but Holiday is ready to be the Bruins’ catalyst; Welsh is as steady as they come; and at least three or four of the freshmen will contribute, if not excel, right away. This will be a different team without Ball, but it still could be a good one.
Steve Alford’s Bruins should be in the thick of Pac-12 title contention again next season. (Getty)
20. MINNESOTA Key losses: G Akeem Springs Key returners: G Nate Mason, F Amir Coffey, C Reggie Lynch, G Dupree McBrayer, F Jordan Murphy, F Eric Curry, F Davonte Fitzgerald Notable newcomers: G Isaiah Washington
Outlook: The Gophers have almost everybody back from a 24-win team — one that didn’t lose in February, and claimed a No. 5 seed in the NCAA tournament. “Almost everybody” includes an All-Big Ten point guard (Mason), a shot-blocker extraordinaire (Lynch) and rising star (Coffey). Another year of experience for McBrayer, Murphy and Curry, plus the addition of Washington, a top-100 guard, should give Richard Pitino a strong seven- or eight-man rotation.
21. NORTHWESTERN Key losses: F Sanjay Lumpkin, F Nathan Taphorn Key returners: G Bryant McIntosh, F Vic Law, G Scottie Lindsey, C Dererk Pardon, F Aaron Falzon, F Gavin Skelly, G Isiah Brown Notable newcomers: G Anthony Gaines
Outlook: This — 2017-18 — was supposed to be the year. Not last year. But now that last year was the year, the upcoming season looks even more promising. Lumpkin is the only significant loss. The McIntosh-Law-Lindsey trio will be even better. Pardon is at worst a second-tier Big Ten big man. Falzon will return from a knee injury that took his entire 2016-17 campaign. The only issue: Northwestern won’t play a true home game all season. It has been pushed 15 miles west of campus to Allstate Arena by renovations to its normal home, Welsh-Ryan Arena.
22. TEXAS A&M Key losses: G J.C. Hampton, F Tavario Miller Key returners: F Robert Williams, F D.J. Hogg, G Admon Gilder, F Tyler Davis, F Tonny Trocha-Morelos, G J.J. Caldwell Notable newcomers: G Duane Wilson, G Savion Flagg, G D.J. Starks, G Jay Jay Chandler
Outlook: The Aggies, like TCU, could be a sneaky surprise pick. They not only more or less have all five starters returning; they have a player, Williams, who would have been a first-round pack had he declared for the draft. They will also get much improved play at point guard from the combo of Caldwell, who was ruled ineligible last season, and Wilson, a graduate transfer from Marquette. A&M underachieved in 2016-17, but could have a big bounce-back year in 2017-18.
23. ALABAMA Key losses: G Corban Collins, F Jimmie Taylor, F Bola Olaniyan Key returners: F Riley Norris, F Braxton Key, G Dazon Ingram, F Donta Hall, G Avery Johnson Jr., G Ar’mond Davis Notable newcomers: C Daniel Giddens, G Collin Sexton, G John Petty, F Alex Reese
Outlook: There is a lot to like here. Sexton is a consensus top-10 recruit. Giddens, a transfer from Ohio State, is a former top-50 prospect and projects as a big-time shot-blocker. The class of newcomers is the reason Alabama is in this top 25. But don’t sleep on the returning core either. Key and Ingram were solid as freshmen, and should improve. Norris is a capable secondary scoring option. Avery Johnson should get to the tournament in his third season in Tuscaloosa.
24. MIAMI Key losses: F Davon Reed, F Kamari Murphy Key returners: G Ja’Quan Newton, G Bruce Brown, F Anthony Lawrence, G Dejan Vasilijevic, F Dewan Huell, C Ebuka Izundu Notable newcomers: G Lonnie Walker, G Chris Lykes, C Deng Gak, F Sam Waardenburg
Outlook: Reed and Murphy were staples for the Hurricanes over the past two seasons, and the losses of those two will sting, but Jim Larranaga has a lot of bright, young talent on hand heading into 2017-18. Brown had an excellent freshman year; Vasilijevic and Huell showed plenty of promise too. Lawrence and Newton will provide necessary experience. A top-10 recruiting class, headlined by Walker, will inject the Hurricanes’ roster with skill and verve. That roster should take Miami to a third NCAA tournament in a row, and could have it challenging for a top-four place in the ACC.
25. VIRGINIA Key losses: G London Perrantes, F Marial Shayok, G Darius Thompson, F Jarred Reuter Key returners: F Isaiah Wilkins, G Devon Hall, G Kyle Guy, G Ty Jerome, C Jack Salt, F Mamadi Diakite Notable newcomers: G Marco Anthony
Outlook: Transfers have gutted the Cavs’ roster of some depth and a couple starters, and their best player has graduated, but who are we to doubt Tony Bennett? Virginia has finished in the KenPom top 15 four years running despite roster turnover. If the Hall-Guy-Jerome backcourt trio gels on the offensive end, the frontcourt of Wilkins, Diakite and Salt is strong enough to make it five years in a row.
Others considered: Purdue, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Oregon, South Carolina, Xavier, Baylor, Rhode Island, SMU, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall, Providence, Nevada, Virginia Tech, Texas, Maryland, Indiana, Texas Tech

1/14/17, 5:41am - can’t sleep
too much stuff on my mind. and a bit of a headache. I know I said I’d quit this thing, but I can’t. but as far as I’m concerned, if I’m going to cop out of that I’m at least going to swear off the kiss-and-tell braggadocio though. And tone down the negative vibe.
This aboutta be some feelgood shit up in here.
I mean not everything’s going great. To be totally honest I still have literally no idea how this financial situation is going to work out. But I’m sure it will.
But my friends have been so good to me. I love them all so much.
Need to start with the excellent gourmet kingdom dinner that I went out to with the smash fam on wednesday. Lucas, Corey, Dylan, Patricio, Clem, Jwilli, Spencer all treated me. Fuck I hope I’m not forgetting someone lmao. I know I’m forgetting like one or two mofukkas. I wasn’t going to go ofc, but since I wasn’t going to go because money was tight they offered to pay for my meal and I reluctantly accepted. [as much as i’d do it for anyone, I still feel a little bothered accepting these kinds of gifts from my friends. I don’t really feel like I can’t take care of myself or something, I just feel like I... shouldn’t. Because if I can’t plan on coming out of my own financial problems how can I plan on paying them back and how can I accept a gift in the first place then?]
Thursday I got to team with Ian, and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing in tournament. We DOMINATED the winners bracket of that tournament. only lost one game and had some of the filthiest combos I’ve ever seen in my life. Just got cold waiting for grands and didn’t play as well. Was so much fun though, really made me happy to have poured so much time into practicing. Just gotta keep doing better.
After the tournament a whole ton of people came over to my place to play for the night. Can’t even get into it but it was great. in all I played from 4pm until 6am and only stopped because I got a splitting headache and felt like I was going to die finally hahahah... Probably should have gotten some dinner or somethnig lmao.
I was supposed to try to play with Kevin today, but instead I spent the day with Weilin. Him and a few people had crashed at my place, so we went on a mini road trip to take Decker back to greensboro. We spent a little time trying to get his phone fixed, spent some time trying to find me new pants, ate some delicious gyros and had a long car talk about hentai and the pursuit of happiness and financial goals and life and melee and everything, man. So glad that happened.
We met up with Arun, Arvind, Irene, and Broscious to eat at Bali Hai and do an escape room out at durham. Got a huge ass plate of meat thanks to weilin covering for me, and had a great time solving the 90′s themed puzzles with the gang. We tore it up, too. Only got stumped by a cd in a book and a madonna song hahaha. Those guys are all some smart motherfuckers, I’ll tell ya whattt. And while we waited for this safe to unlock me and Broscious got to slam down some Pogs and mostly just slap them around on a table hahahahaha. I was supposed to go to a party tonight that my old pokemon go team was throwing to celebrate Kelly turning level 40, but there was no way I was gonna pull myself away from those guys for anything. We spent a couple hours playing board games and talking/gossipping/catching up and getting cookout. Excited as fuck to do it again tomorrow.
But the real reason I’m writing this post is because Irene wanted us to do this neat little thing that was admittedly a little lame but amazingly feelgood and really made me happy. I think she called it a compliment circle, where we all had to think of at least a compliment for each other, and we took turns doing whatever the opposite of a roast is. I really don’t want to forget any of the things that they said, because it’s not often that people go out of their way to give you honest totally-for-nothing compliments, yknow? They’re not verbatim because my short term memory sucks, but I’ll do my best here.
“You’re the best.” “you have a beautiful smile and jaw structure and face and eyes and you’re just a great looking dude and if I were a chick I’d date you and if you were a chick I’d date you, and if we both were chicks I’d date you.” “it seems like you always have a lot of things messing with your life, but despite that you’re always a great person to be around. you never seem to let things get to you and you always have a smile on your face and you’re never a downer.” “you do a lot of things for your friends and the melee community and just people in general. you never really seem to expect anything in return and I don’t think that gets brought up much.” “You make me push myself to be better.” “I like your nose” (weird. broscious, you don’t read my blog, do you??) “you’ve got a really warm personality and do a really great job of including everyone when you try to talk to them and like in the puzzle room.” “You’re always there for me, even at times when nobody else was.”
goddamn, man. I don’t even care if it’s narcissistic to put those down here. I have to put them Somewhere. Literally shed a tear writing them down, I feel so good about all that shit. It really couldn’t have come at a better time with everything hitting the fan and all of my self image issues recently. Maybe they knew that.
What I didn’t think to tell them then was that it’s friends like them and everyone I hung out this week and everyone in my life that cares about me still that make my life so happy in the first place. It’s like... when I finally get to be in a room with people I know and can enjoy their company it’s like all the bullshit that exists outside just isn’t important anymore. Relaxing by talking and playing games is so fucking wonderful.
Speaking of my issues again, might as well follow up on new years goals and self improvement stuff.
Feeling much better about my teeth. Got my cavities filled (I had fucking TEN), got my teeth cleaned for the first time in years, I’ve finally got this image out of my head that my crowned tooth looks dead. Forreal, idk if it was the cleaning, or just talking to the dentist about whether they think it matches and then thinking about it, or what the deal is, but I Swear ever since I decided it wasn’t worth having my crown replaced again it’s looked better. Matches color better and more consistently, doesn’t look off balanced, I just look good. I really want to blame it on the cleaning but maybe it really was just a mental thing... Idk. I’m just happy my teeth are finally healthy, holy shit thinking about my mouth too hard the past couple years has been horrifying. Right now my gums hurt because I flossed for the first time in forever. Might be why I can’t sleep, but starting good habits.
Don’t know what’s up with my weight, haven’t been keeping track of that yet.
Have been doing Great about drinking water. Have only drank soda on a few occasions at all, back to living on powdered lemonade like I said I would. Probably should still be drinking more, but off to a great start. Still haven’t been on reddit since the new year (though I don’t think I wrote this resolution down), but still passively start to type it in the search bar sometimes. Shit’s difficult. Progress on my septum is put on hold for now, family doctor is waiting to refer me until I have a followup visit with them about my lab work. Supposedly I had “small red blood cells” so like either dehydration or anemia. Probably both lolll. Hopefully not something more serious, but who knows. Been taking a multivitamin daily. Been spending less money lmaoooo. Haven’t been cooking for myself the past few days but DID start doing that finally. Just gotta keep it up. Still no good on exercise. Still haven’t bought a pack of cigarettes. Smoking a lot of that pipe tobacco, but it definitely doesn’t make me feel cravings like cigs do. Pretty great there. Started goofing around on tinder again just to get that out of the way. Got a few matches, but I’ve been sandbagging this game really hard lol. e.g. I’ve been a lottt more picky about who I swipe, way too detailed about how nerdy I am in my profile, and not playing with it all that much tbh. I.e. doing all the things that are probably healthier dating habits but are def not anything close to how you need to play tinder to be successful from what I’ve ever experienced. That being said I’ve already partially rediscovered my hatred for it and think it’s a waste of time, but whatever. Not entirely motivated to meet new people right now anyway, so even if I’m not exactly happy to be swiping through a couple dozen people without matching I’m definitely not let down either. It just doesn’t feel like the right time for me, and also I totally wouldn’t have money for dates now that I think about it lmaoo. Last thing I’m gonna mention is that I haven’t been fucking with my fingers nearly as much. Just lost my week-or-so streak I was on, fidgeting in the car today, but def doing a lot better.
Everything’s doing a lot better. I’m still totally fucked, but I feel pretty great and I’m doing pretty great and everything’s going to be even more great soon enough.
#pogchamp [6:52am. never gonna sleep oh god rip hahaha]

I just watched Girl Meets World {1x01} I was right! Maya did notice Lucas first! But I also noticed that she immediately stepped back the minute Riley and Lucas had a moment. And can I just say that Rowan and Sabrina were so cute when they were young! My little babies💘
Rowan was so adorable when she was either 12 or 13 years old; now look at her, she is 15; still being the amazing adorable woman she is now. I just love how her and her character Riley grew together in a way; Riley in season one was a adorable little bean who was quirky and cute, and nervous too. But NOW in season three, yo! My little bean turned into a courageous young woman fighting her battles; sticking up for her friends {not saying that she never did. She proved that in the pilot; what she was fighting for was MAYA.} so she already proved to me that she will stick and be there for her friends. {like in Girl Meets flaws, she was the first person to know that Farkle was being bullied. In Girl Meets father, Maya thought that Cory thinks that she was a failure, so Maya stepped out; but everyone knew what Riley was going to do. She walked out of the classroom; trying to stop maya from leaving.} now she is a strong young girl capable of doing the impossible in her world. Now back to Rowan. With Rowan, it’s the same. Like Riley Rowan believes in the world. She believes that LGBT rights is not the problem; she believes that LOVE is LOVE and it doesn’t make a difference. She definitely believes in feminism; woman, girl power. Rowan doesn’t like when guys talk about girls, woman a certain way; we are humans; we have emotions. As us woman, we are not puppets where you can do anything you want to us, we are HUMAN TOO! And all the hate she has been getting on twitter and Instagram, first of all, just because she is just showing skin that doesn’t mean she is a slut or a whore; she didn’t do anything wrong, she is not trying to show off her body; apparently showing off a little bit of skin is all of sudden a bad thing? SHE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING OK! Rowan is just being herself; so for of you haters out there, BACK OFF OF ROWAN! Stop saying that she is a slut or she is a whore or she is ugly. She is not either of those negative labels you label her as. She is beautiful, adorable, kind, caring and a wonderful person with a passionate heart.
Sabrinaaa. Oh my god! She was so cute when she was young; still is! I love how in depth Sabrina is when she plays Maya Hart. Maya is one of my favorites because with her story line, it relates so much to my story line so much. And I love how after everything that happened in Maya’s life; she still finds a way to have hope and be happy. The gift Smackle gave to Maya. A broken clock that gift shows us so much about Maya. Even though she has been broken, Maya still found a way to put back the pieces together. SO WAY A GO SMACKLE! Back to Maya I love how she is so strong and she will fight for the people she loves; Riley. Lucas and Farkle. {In Girl Meets Texas: Part 2; Maya saw how the bull reacts, immediately she got scared. “I don’t want you to go anywhere near that bull.” *“I want you to take off that stupid outfit and let’s get out of here.” “I saw the bull; I don’t think the bull is supposed to be fun”} also in {Girl Meets I am Farkle} when Farkle told all of his friends; his family that he might have autism, she got worried. “They want to see if I have autism” “You don’t.” personally I ship Maya and Farkle as a bro-sis-otp. But back to topic, in {Girl Meets Home for the Holidays} Maya didn’t understand why people doesn’t love Riley, now before you all say “what are you talking about? People loved Riley.” What I AM talking about is that Maya didn’t understand why Uncle Shawn never really “payed attention” to Riley. Riley always had this thought that Uncle Shawn made her feel invisible. {“Why do you make Riley feel this way?” “Well you do, and that’s not ok with me.”} I just love how she has a strong personality but also has a wild, rebellious, dangerous side.
Corey was so stinkin cute when he was young. He made me laugh every five seconds while I was watching the episode. I can totally see the character development in Farkle’s behave from the pilot to now, he has grown so much. From Mr.Turtleneck to Donnie Barns: Regular Guy to now regular original mature Farkle Minkus; the caring compassionate genius he is still finding out more about himself; I hope this little cutie finds out who he is and I will love to see him more evolving and continue to grow. What I also love about Farkle is that he will do anything for friends when it is the hardest, he always finds a way to tell his friends the truth; like in {Girl Meets New Year} Farkle pulled Riley aside to have a private talk. {by the way their private talks, OMG the feeeels. The chemistry, aaah!!} Farkle got “upset” in a way that Riley still haven’t told her friends the truth or how she really feels about Lucas and Maya dating. “We had a deal, I gave you time to tell everybody how you really feel and you haven’t done anything about it yet” “Just tell them the truth Riley, tell them the truth, don’t start a new year with a lie.” he will do anything for the truth to come out. That’s why I love him so much, honesty is the most important thing in a friendship after trust. I would love to have a Farkle as my friend; because he will tell me to tell truth, he will knew that it is the right thing to do. Farkle will be compassionate to me and caring to me. He will always make me smile; make me happy. I love Corey so much; he is so adorable; beautiful; HOT; I love how his personality is; nice, caring, have a good heart. I love how he makes me smile with so much joy on my face; how he makes my heart beat fast; making me fall in love. His smile just makes me so happy. His little cute quirks makes me giggle like a 5 year old girl. His cuteness just fills up my heart with so much happiness. And when he gets feisty, OMG HOTNESS OVERLOAD!! 😍😍 How about you? Would you like to have a Farkle as a friend? Or a Corey? Or both? 😏
Peyton was so adorable in this episode; I mean the boy was 16 years old; he has grown so much into the person he was and is now. His character Lucas, I mean honestly his character hasn’t fully developed yet, and I am not blaming the writers, I think they are still trying to show us. I mean in season one and two, we know that he was born in Texas, he got suspended from his old school, he is the protector of his friends, but we want to know more about him; that’s all we know so far, again not blaming the writers, let’s just see where the writers will put that piece in. That’s why we need a season 4 of gmw. So we can see more about Lucas and his character development.
Please Girl Meets World writers, please give us a season four so us as fans can see more of our favorite group of friends seeing them grow bigger and evolve more. Please give us a season 4 pleaseee!!! #Girlmeetsworldseason4 #Savegirlmeetsworld #WeLoveGMW 💙
