Josh Peter at USA Today:
PARIS –Taiwan’s Lin Yu-Ting, one of two female boxers targeted in a “gender eligibility’’ controversy at the Paris Olympics, capped the turbulent experience in similar fashion. Triumphantly. Lin won a gold medal Saturday night by beating Poland’s Julia Szeremeta on points by unanimous decision in the finals of the women’s featherweight division (126 pounds) at Roland-Garros Stadium. Leading with a crisp jab, Lin won the first two rounds convincingly and danced free from trouble in the third round. The victory came one night after Algeria’s Imane Khelif won a gold medal by beating China’s Yang Liu in the finals of the women’s welterweight (146 pounds) division.
Both Lin and Khelif have been subjected to abuse on social media and inaccurate online speculation about their sexes even though the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has said they both have met all criteria and that there’s no question they are women.
Lin Yu-ting of Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) 🇹🇼 wins women's boxing featherweight gold medal 🏅 .
J.K., Riley, and the other anti-trans bullies who tried to take her (and Imane Khelif) down several pegs can suck it!

Imane Khelif, the woman you are. It's only right I make an art piece to celebrate your win.
On another note, let's talk about the controversy surrounding her.
First of all: she's not even trans, there's nothing wrong with being trans (I myself am transmasc), but the only reason people think she is is because of her ethnic features.
Yes, she has higher levels of testosterone, but that does not make her a man. To all the people who think having testosterone makes you male, it doesn't.
Everyone has both estrogen and testosterone, men having higher testosterone, women having higher estrogen. The only exception is it you're born with a hormone deficiency.
People saying she 'has a natural advantage' because of her hormone levels are idiots. The Olympics are the natural advantage competitions. You don't see people complaining about Micheal Phelps having the height and wing span of a Boeing 747 and being able to stretch like laffy-taffy, do you?
The man's basically part fish, but people are choosing to complain about the buff Algerian boxer who doesn't fit eastern beauty standards.
Why is that? Oh right! Because white men can't handle the thought if a woman being stronger than them, therefore she MUST be a man, right? I bet anyone here fifty bucks that the dudes complaining about Imane are the same ones who complained about the female athletes having a high BMI.
Second: people saying she's trans are actively putting her in danger.
She live lives in Algeria, a country where it's ILLEGAL to be trans. People spreading rumours about her are going to be responsible if she gets hatecrimed. Heck, I'VE been hate crimed, and I live in Australia, one of the safest places to be LGBTQ, and one of the safest countries in general.
Third: how the fuck does someone compete in the ultimate hitting-as-hard-as-you-can competition, and complain when you get hit as hard as they can?
Like come on, you can't seriously think you'll win if all you're doing is partying and drinking, (don't even try to deny it, we've all seen your social media posts) while you're opponent is training as hard as they can.
For fucks sake, Imane had to sell bread to even afford boxing classes, she competes in a hard core sports in a country where it's frowned upon even for women to play soccer. She's a legend and an inspiration to women worldwide.
Meanwhile, a wimpy Russian boxer who barely trains activated her white-woman crocodile tears and instantly got the support of millions. Does that seem fair to you?
I'll stop my rant here before this gets too long to post, but you best believe I will stand with Imane till she gets justice.

Female Boxer Abandons Olympic Fight Against Biological Male Opponent Aft...
youtube
This is absolutely disgusting. These boxers have trained their entire life only for their dreams to be snatched by a biological male (found in 2023 to have XY chromosomes and high testosterone despite claiming to be intersex) too cowardly to fight other men, instead turning to beating up women for an easy win. The Italian woman was forced to give up against her Algerian opponent in under a minute for her safety, as she realized how unjust the fight was the moment she felt his punches. My heart goes out to this woman and the others who's safety and chances were thrown under the rug just to avoid hurting the feelings of these cheaters that take advantage of inclusivity for their selfish desires. There is nothing transphobic or anti-intersex in knowing that men have an unfair advantage over women in the realm of boxing and should not be allowed to compete against them.

The director of Algeria’s Olympic committee has claimed that a female boxer at the centre of a row over her eligibility to fight against women is the victim of a “Zionist” conspiracy.
Imane Khelif was accused of being a man and a “bullying cheat” after her Italian opponent withdrew from their bout last week after just 46 seconds.
Angela Carini claimed she had quit to “save my life” when the Algerian boxer hit her so hard she could not breathe.
Khelif was previously disqualified from the 2023 Women's World Boxing Championships which was organised by the Russian-led International Boxing Association (IBA) after she failed unspecified gender eligibility tests.
The restrictions include a ban on women with XY chromosomes from competing against other females.
Khelif’s results from the IBA testing remain confidential, but the body has said she had a competitive advantage.
It has never been proven that Khelif has XY chromosomes, which are typically posessed by men, but can be present in women with a Differences of Sexual Development disorder.
Despite claims that she is a man, Khelif has never identified as transgender or intersex.
After defeating Hungarian Luca Anna Hamori in the women’s 66kg division quarter-final, she insisted that she was a woman.
Speaking before the bout, which guaranteed that she would win at least a bronze medal, Yassine Arab, the director of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committees, told the Syndney Morning Herald Khelif had been attacked by shadowy forces.
“The Zionist lobby, they want to break the mind of Imane. But now Imane is very strong. They don’t want that a Muslim girl or Arabic girl goes higher in the level of the rank of female boxing,” he said.
“We are all here for Imane. You can see all the support of everybody from the world. All the international press associations, they support Imane.”
Speaking to BeIN Sports, Khelif said: “This is a matter of dignity and honour for every woman or female.
"The entire Arab people have known me for years. For years I have been boxing in international federation competitions, they [the IBA] were unfair with me. But I have god.
“I want to tell the entire world that I am a female, and I will remain a female.
“I dedicate this medal to the world, and to all the Arabs and I tell you, long live Algeria."

Mira Lazine at LGBTQ Nation:
Algerian boxer Imane Khelif opened up about the hate she’s received from the far-right during their “transvestigations” of her, focusing particularly on Elon Musk’s role in the hate mobs. [...] Khelif has been the victim of intense hate mobs directed at her solely on the basis of transphobia and racism. It started when she defeated her opponent, Italian boxer Angela Carini, in the first round of boxing at the Olympics. Carini dropped out after being punched in the face and anti-trans bigots began to accuse Khelif of being either a trans woman or a cis man, using an accusation made by an ally of Vladimir Putin on Telegram earlier this year. Algeria does not allow individuals to transition, and Khelif’s entire family has said that she was assigned female at birth. The International Olympics Committee has also confirmed her as cisgender.
Things only began to escalate when reference was made to when the Russia-based International Boxing Association disqualified Khelif after she defeated a Russian boxer, claiming she did not pass unspecified gender testing. However, the International Boxing Association has given no proof of the testing and has been banned from recognition by the International Olympic Committee due to instances of corruption and scandal.
Imane Khelif, the female Algerian boxer that was falsely accused of being a “male”, opens up about the experience of being a cyberbullying victim by anti-trans scum such as Elon Musk, JK Rowling, and Riley Gaines.

Apparently, you can be born with a vagina and a uterus and fallopian tubes, and you'll still get called a man because you don't fit racist and misogynist beauty standards.

Elise Carson-Holt at LGBTQ Nation:
In the wake of her gold medal win, Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has filed a legal complaint in France after being faced with a wave of online harassment brought on by false claims that she is transgender. The complaint was filed Friday with a special unit in the Paris prosecutor’s office focused on stopping online hate speech. Khelif’s lawyer, Nabil Boudi, said Khelif was the victim of “aggravated cyber-harassment,” which he described as “a misogynist, racist, and sexist campaign” in a statement.
Khelif, who is a cisgender woman, has been victimized by anti-trans bigots, including prominent people such as Elon Musk, JK Rowling, and former president Donald Trump, all of whom have shared baseless claims that she is secretly a man or transgender. She is neither. The statement reads, “After the sporting time, comes the legal time. Having just won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, boxer Imane Khelif has decided to lead a new fight: that of justice, dignity, and honor. Ms. Khelif contacted the firm which filed a complaint yesterday for acts of cyber harassment aggravated by the anti-online hatred center of the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office.” It continues, “The criminal investigation will determine who initiated this misogynistic, racist, and sexist campaign, but will also have to focus on those who fueled this digital lynching. The unfair harassment suffered by the boxing champion will remain the biggest stain of these Olympic Games.”
Good to see Algerian boxer Imane Khelif file a legal complaint against the online harassment she received as she was falsely labeled a “man”, amplified by right-wing and anti-trans bozos like J.K. Rowling, Elon Musk, Riley Gaines, and Donald Trump.
