Help a Mother Overcome Hardship and Provide Stability
Hi, I’m a single mom of 3 amazing children, all under the age of 3. Unfortunately, their father walked out on us the day after we found out I was pregnant with our third child. Since then, I’ve been doing my best to keep things together, but it’s been incredibly difficult managing everything on my own.
Right now, my biggest dream is to create a safe, stable, and loving home for my children—something we desperately need. We've been living in temporary situations, moving between family members and friends, but I want to give my kids a permanent place to call home where they can grow up with the stability and security they deserve.
Every day, I’m working hard to make ends meet, but it’s become clear that I can’t do this alone. I’m turning to the kindness of others in hopes that you might be able to help us on this journey.
How You Can Help: The funds I raise will go directly towards securing a home for us—a place where we can finally start to build the life we’ve been dreaming of. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Even if you can't donate, sharing this campaign with your network can make a huge difference.
Donate Here : https://gofund.me/a852abcc
I want to give my children the best childhood possible, and your support will help me provide the stability and security we currently lack. Together, we can make this dream a reality.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can provide. Your generosity will make a lasting impact on our lives.

Nikki Porcher, founder of Buy From A Black Woman (BFABW), declined to sign a termination agreement proposed by H&M. According to Porcher, the brand offered her $100,000 in exchange for quietly ending their partnership while allowing H&M to continue using the BFABW name and programs. . A copy of the agreement, reviewed by ADWEEK, outlined that Porcher would be barred from making any public statements that could be seen as defamatory toward H&M. It also specified that H&M would retain the right to reference the BFABW name and logo solely within its 2024 Inclusion and Diversity Report. . Both parties officially ended their partnership on March 12. . Following the split—and nearly a month after payment was due—H&M has now paid BFABW the $83,000 it owed the nonprofit. According to ADWEEK, Porcher received an overnighted check from the retailer on March 14, totaling $83,333.33. The payment was confirmed in a video obtained by the publication. Lane Bryant was founded in New York in 1904 as a shop for standard-sized women. When a pregnant customer asked the proprietor, Lena Bryant (the bank officer who opened her account had misspelled her name), to make a "presentable but comfortable" dress for her, it was the first commercially available maternity dress.
When measuring her customers, Bryant realized the need for clothing for those who needed larger sizes than those usually available. So she began to stock them, and the first "plus size" clothing was available. Business boomed. It became a chain, which now has 448 stores in 46 states.
The ad on the left appeared in the NY Times in 1923 and the one on the right in 1925. I like the line, "If you are not slender." Better than "stout" or "plus sized."

I was thinking about Porthos again last night. He's such a good adaptation imo, he's big and strong and is sort of 'the stupid one' but mostly by reputation. His intelligence is just quiet and background. I like that in the dreaded s3 athos finally just says oitloud 'he's the smart one actually you should notice that now'.
This version of Porthos has lots of agency, he uses people's impressions and misimpressipns of him, it's him who choses to keep quieter about it. I find H Charles acting choices excellent. You can kinda see Porthos choices, and confidence and competence, and when he loses confidence or is frustrated by the fact that he has to work so hard to be seen as more or equal to the others, in the line delivery and way he acts in situations.
I'm thinking of all the complexity he packs into "i know who and what I am" and his demand that he is French, or the early s3 scenes with Sylvie where he just follows his orders and is visibly fed up with evrything, or the bit with the judge when he's being tried for murder where he has a split second beat before he says 'enjoying Paris at night' early on where he's maybe calculating that the judge isn't going to listen to a word he says sand there's no pint biting back.
And we also see his intelligence in his fighting. When he fights, how he fights, when he backs up the others. When he fights the red guard he's showing off his skill, when he fights with musketeers he's careful and shows off his strength, with his 'real' fights he's strategic but confident and uses what's to hand. I'm simplifieing and making things fit but he does fight differently in the different situations.
He's just such a great character and there's so many layers and things to think about and tturn over. There's Dumas OG Porthos who Dumas clearly loved to bits, and while I think the show as a whole failed in lots of ways at adapting satire to Serious Business they seemed to have a lot of love for the material too, and there's H Charles acting choices, all these people loving the character.
#porthos#bbc musketeers#Apparently there are three other musketeers or smth? Wouldn't know. Just Porthos 😂#An Constance I really love Constance a lot and have many thoughts abt that character too like its actually pretty rare to have character#Who is aa 'feminist' whatever but talks about the benefits of marriage and acknowledges the weight of a choice to leave a husband and choose#A life that would put a woman outside of society and how it would leave her with nothing. Not just no money or home or family but no#Recourse to what social care there was#And also to leave any network of support she had with the other business owners and women who were her neighbours and friends#Anyway tags are not for more posting bye

What I want more than anything is to be successful enough.
Successful enough to take art classes 4x a week like I’m a young protege.
Successful enough to support independent artists and have them make custom clothing for me.
Successful enough to wear the hairstyles that I want without caring about how other peoples perception will impact my ability to network and be taken seriously.
Successful enough to take a month long, solo vacation’s in a new city or country and just rejuvenate myself.
Successful enough to have my own quaint little home that I’ve renovated to reflect my style and personality.
Successful enough to take classes in subjects I’m interested in at a local university.
Successful enough to have a maid come 2x a week bc I hate cleaning.
Successful enough to treat Whole Foods like the convenience store.
Successful enough to host a themed dinner party for two.
Successful enough to only study the subjects I’m interested in and not what other people tell me I should study.
Successful enough to not let my insecurities define me because I’ve let go of the idea of being utterly perfect to attract a rich man.
I’m sure I’ll add more to this list.
