I need some help deciding on lore for my OC

I can't decide what species they should be exactly. I've been reading bits about Hellhounds, Cu sithe (faerie dogs), Church Grimms, and Cadejo but I'm not sure if any one of them fits completely? Anyone else have any ideas?

Powers/abilities: just a few

* Can take human form

* Can use shadows/shade as a way of travel

Decided to make some custom decor of Drax for Wolvden

He will "grow up" alongside whatever wolf he is set with. This thing took me like over 20hrs today. No more art for today! Yippee!!!

A changeling pup that grew up believing he was normal - well, as normal as you can get when half of the wolves in your pack are all-powerful, technicolored deities using mortal forms.

Anyways, eventually he starts looking more like the Faewulvs that he originated from, and gets more freaked out. The Alpha; Pandemonium, starts to recognize the telltale traits of a Faewulv, and grows wary, seeing as long ago; the Troublemaker pack suffered immensely from wolves going missing due to The Dark; a pack of wolves created long ago from the dark side of the moon, and knows that the Faewulvs have done similar things to other packs.

an experimental piece i did for my friend @ruikh of his wolf Throckmorton!

i wanted to try providing color in a more painterly fashion. this piece took a really long time to do, and a lot of the hairs were individually drawn. the process was worth it as a gift to my friend, but i don't think i'll be doing very many more of these, if any! i much prefer the simplicity of cel-shading. maybe i can find a way to combine the two methods. the background is a mix of digital plus the notebook paper that the original sketch is on.
