Project: Eden’s Garden Daily Life Thoughts

Okay, I just finished the Daily Life walkthrough—here are my thoughts so far:

Eva. Eva Freaking Tsunaka. I did not expect her to go from a character I’d basically forgotten about since the prologue to my current favorite. She’s literally everything—it’s hard to put into words how much I love her in all her geeky glory. The fact that her “Ultimate Liar” talent was, in itself, a lie was something I somehow didn’t see coming, but her real talent is definitely more intriguing. Thanks to the let’s-player only choosing her FTEs, we get to know so much about her backstory and how unfairly she was treated by her school, teammates, and the UTP. Of course, some—or even all—of that could also be a lie, but for now I choose to believe she only lied initially to protect herself. Besides, she really doesn’t have much to gain from continuously venting about her past to Damon. I’m pulling a Kaito and believing in her simply because I can!!!

Kai. You bet I’m already attaching myself to the pink-haired, crybaby sidekick. I have a type, and my type is incredibly obvious to literally anyone who’s spent at least five minutes on my blog. He’s obnoxious, whiny, and I can’t help but want to give him a fidget cube and cradle him in a weighted blanket. He’s sopping wet and perfect. I also already shipped him and Damon from the start and boy do I feel vindicated!

Wolfgang. I know he’s the fan-favorite, and it’s easy to see why, but I can’t bring myself to like him all that much because the dude is just so unbelievably shady. Before chapter one, I thought there was a good chance he could be the first victim, especially when he’s so clearly set up as Damon’s narrative foil, but after a while my suspicions turned to Eva (no matter how sick that made me feel). Sorry Wolfgang fans, I actually breathed a sigh of relief when he was revealed to be dead because I was so certain it would be Eva. Hopefully this isn’t me seriously jinxing myself and she turns out to be the killer or something. Also damn his death artwork is brutal.

Uhhh lightning round… Ingrid is so sweet; Applejack is one of my highest kins so you know I’m keeping my eye on this hard-working Southern belle. Toshiko is adorable and her secret made me laugh out loud, though I immediately felt guilty about it. Grace continues to be loud and antagonistic, you go queen. Jett has done nothing of note so far but he’s still at the top of my list for his unmatched Scooby Doo goofiness alone. Diana inviting Eva to be her roommate makes her an automatic winner in my book (and I lowkey ship them) but her questioning of Damon makes me a tad suspicious. My thoughts about Jean can basically be summed up in that one meme that goes something like “I’m gonna be honest, I’m only focusing on your titties right now.” Cassidy’s cool, and I’m almost certain her blackmail picture was a reference to the Jerma onion ring clip. Eloise, Mark, Desmond, Wenona, and Ulysses… exist. Sorry, I don’t have much to say about any of them.

I'm sorry to say, my entire 30 day otherkin challenge - what I used to help myself figure out more of my identity and integrate with the community - might have been a bit skewed. Not entirely false, but probably definitely a bit skewed.

Shortly after I wrote and queued all my posts for the challenge, I went through a messy week of system discovery. It still feels super bizarre to say that! That I'm a freakin' system!

So what does that have to do with my otherkin challenge? Well, all of what I wrote was around the concept of being dragonkin, robotkin, and alienkin. But since system discovery, I have been rather disconnected from my robot- and alienkinity in particular. I'm not entirely sure why, either. I'm not sure if it's just because my identity as a part got all jumbled up from our plural discovery, or if those were the feelings of another alter entirely.

Learning how to communicate is a messy process. We're learning how we each individually want to utilize the inner world we're creating, who's influencing when, who wants to front and how I can feel safe enough to let go and allow them to do so... We're even still vacillating on a system name, because all of our aesthetic preferences so far seem to be vastly different!

At this time, I'm definitely still otherkin. Hell, I'm probably more kin than I was before, since nonhuman alters have emerged. I'm also rethinking how I view us spiritually, what plurality means for all of us, what we are in a metaphysical sense. I'm going to talk about it here as I piece things together, I think, because I still think it's deeply interesting and want to hear the experiences of other plural otherkin. And eventually, once I feel more stable and have this whole system thing a bit better processed in my head, I'll completely redo my 30 day otherkin challenge.

Oh, and one final thing to add, this is still going to be my (Wolfgang's) personal blog. So far only one other part in our system has expressed any interest in Tumblr, so she'll be getting her own sideblog all to herself when she's ready.

TAKE ONE: Wagstaff actually has MANY creatures from the constant hidden away in his lab. MULTIPLE. A lot of them are dead, but the carcasses are still valuable resources. That spider who ate webber got the easy way out, if anything.

TAKE TWO: Wortox is color blind. He’s got Tritanopia, to be more specific: cannot tell the difference between purple & red, pink & yellow, and blue & green. The only reason he knows the exact color of his fur is because of his mama.

TAKE THREE: Genny ends up adopting Wickerbottom’s old cat after finding it roaming about the library’s rubble.

TAKE FOUR: The pigs are actually well-versed in necromancy, hence the reckless rushing into battle and the touchstones.

TAKE FIVE: The pig king is Wilba’s dad. He and Queen Malfalfa got a divorce waaayy back and he ran off to start his own kingdom with his own people; most of which were also affected by the werepig curse.

TAKE SIX: Excessive use of shadow magic makes Maxwell physically sick as well as lowering his sanity. Coming back to his senses after summoning multiple shadow duelists or helpers can— and often does— cause him to vomit.

TAKE SEVEN: On the topic of Maxwell using shadow magic: it’s far from pretty. Nightmare fuel seeps out from his eyes, nose, and mouth.

TAKE EIGHT: Wormwood’s speech patterns are a result in him not being fluent in English. As Alter’s kin, his mother tongue happens to be the language spoken by the ancient civilization.

TAKE NINE: One of Them happens to be everything all at once, a physical form that constantly shifts and morphs so quickly that it can barely be considered physical at all. For one second it’s nothing more than a frog, the next it’s a shadow weaver, and then for just a moment it’ll be the worst version of yourself.

TAKE TEN: The Charlie that actually sits upon the throne is barely intact. Shadows hold her rotting bones together and pure horror seeps out from her slack jaw. The more power she displays as queen, the more her human body wilts.

TAKE ELEVEN: Since Maxwell never had control over every layer of the constant, whatever the Krampii are up to has been unbeknownst to him for ages. All he knows is that their bags have wormhole properties and that unnerves him a bit.

TAKE TWELVE: Willow is Wickerbottom’s granddaughter. Becoming a mother herself at nineteen, Wicker’s relationship with her own daughter was somewhat strained, and they lost contact the second said daughter was old enough to run off on her own. Neither Willow nor Wickerbottom are aware of their shared blood until way later down the line.

TAKE THIRTEEN: If Wanda crosses her eyes, her double vision gives her a fuzzy glance into a mirroring timeline. Doing this gives her awful migraines, though.

TAKE FOURTEEN: Wheeler and Wolfgang end up becoming super good friends! Not only are they training buddies, but Wheeler also helps Wolfgang with his bravery.

TAKE FIFTEEN: Wilba and Wurt overcome their prejudices by bonding over how inaccurately Mermio and Pigliet portrayed their respective peoples. They end up rewriting the book together.

TAKE SIXTEEN: Jack, Wendy&Abigail’s mom, and Genny end up becoming close friends. They work together trying to expose Voxola as corrupt.

TAKE SEVENTEEN: Woodlegs has been in the Constant for so long that he’s forgotten he was ever on Earth to begin with.

TAKE EIGHTEEN: Wilbur actually knows a fair amount about the Constant’s history, including tidbits about the ancient civilization as well as the mythology of Them. Unfortunately, no one can understand what he’s saying, so it’s not like he can share any of it.

TAKE NINETEEN: Walter has a younger brother named Theodore. He still sends the pine-tree pioneers letters asking if they’ve managed to find Walter.

TAKE TWENTY: Lucy is Woodie’s wife who died by getting crushed by a tree. She haunts his axe specifically since it was a gift she gave him on one of their anniversaries.

TAKE TWENTY-ONE: Speaking of, Woodie isn’t even sure where his curse originates from. It’s an age-old family tale. All he knows is that the Constant’s magic levels have made it significantly worse.

TAKE TWENTY-TWO: Wes was actually there for the whole portal building thing Maxwell and Wilson did pre-dst. Wilson freed him from that invisible box, it’s not like he had anywhere better to run off to. He didn’t necessarily help build any of it, though, he was just there for moral support.

TAKE TWENTY-THREE: The way Wendy calls upon Abigail isn’t quite as dainty as portrayed in game. She carries a little purse around with her that has all of the requirements for this to be successful; which includes a ritual knife and Abigail’s ashes. Using her own blood and the remnants of her sister, Wendy can summon Abigail out from the flower she possesses.

TAKE TWENTY-FOUR: Wanda’s ageless watch explodes when she dies. Lol. And instead of leaving behind a skeleton, she leaves behind this weird static called life essence. It’s required that you preserve it if you want to be able to resurrect her.

TAKE TWENTY-FIVE: Maxwell’s parents wanted him to be a lawyer. Jack was the only one who supported the idea of him being a magician. Tough!

TAKE TWENTY-SIX: Wormwood is half tree guard. That’s why he’s so ffffucking tall. The gem Alter sent down to the Constant’s surface took control over a dead tree guard and then suddenly the city of Hamlet had a new royal gardener. Life is so silly!

TAKE TWENTY-SEVEN: Wigfrid’s real name is Anita and is actually a child prodigy. She absorbs herself in her role for a sense of purpose because acting is all she’s ever known.

TAKE TWENTY-EIGHT: Wilson is Wagstaff’s nephew 👎

TAKE TWENTY-NINE: Klaus absolutely despises mortal beings because they took his eyes. Bwaaamp 🎺

Note: A few ideas may be subject to updates/changes

My ideas so far

-There is this thing called The Lunar Order (basically consists of the Moonbound Survivors). They watch over the small village that lays beneath Alter and they’ve sworn their allegiance to the Light.

-Moonbound Maxwell leaves the Order in favor of the Shadows, so do a few others. A majority of Order still remains, but Maxwell, blinded by the Shadows, wishes to bring destruction to the Order and the village below.

Ideas for the Survivors’ roles

- Protagonists -

Wormwood - Alter’s descendant and the main leader of the Order. Also the creator of the Order

Winona/Wanda/Wickerbottom - The big leagues in the Order. They’re the main watchers of the village.

Wilson - Still mostly a scientist. He does experiments/studies on Lunar Magic to see how it could benefit the Order.

Wolfgang/Wigfrid/Woodie - The brutish fighters of the Order. They normally are alone preparing for when a major attack on the village occurs (I do have a reasoning for why I put Woodie in here give me a second /lh).

Wes - The Sandman of the village. He’s sleeping during the day, but is awake at night to help everyone in the area with falling asleep. He’s normally in his shrunken form to be more inconspicuous, but whenever necessary, can make himself a more human-like height. He does have wings and a wand too. He’s a pixie.

Warly - I fr don’t have an idea for him rn. It’s changed a few times but I CANNOT think of anything that would work, but also correlate to the Moon.

Wendy/Webber/Wurt/Walter - Webber and Wurt are training to become fighters. Walter is learning how to become one of the big leagues. Wendy isn’t really interested in any of it and prefers to be with Abigail over anything. The others tried to get her interested but failed. They chose to let her do her own thing instead of trying to get her involved in smth she may not want to be involved with. Abigail wants to be a fighter though. Wendy fully supports her and watches her train.

- Protag Notes -

Wes and Wickerbottom are like parents to the children.

Reason for why Woodie is a fighter:

Woodie - I had an idea that (I think came from his description?) he can willing change in and out of his various were-forms. His uses these forms optimally for fighting whenever necessary.

WOAH LUNAR MAGIC LORE!!

Webber - Due to Lunar Magic, he had been hostile. Through Wes and Wickerbottom’s help, he became more friendly. He can be formidable in fighting though.

Wurt - I had an idea that Lunar Magic caused Merms to be hostile. Wurt however, bc she has not fully turned into a Merm, doesn’t really have this quality. However, this hostility can be triggered. Like Webber, docile, but a formidable opponent.

- Antagonists -

Maxwell - The once Wilson’s assistant has become the King of the Shadows after turning his back on the Order in favor of the Darkness.

WX - Another Lunar fighter now turned merciless automaton after finally letting themselves embrace the evil inside them.

Wortox - Once an angelic, guard for the Lunar Kin, now, after embracing the devil in him, has been consumed by the Shadows.

Willow - She realized it’d be more fun to light the village ablaze with crimson fire instead providing it a bright light to follow (for context: Willow has the ability to create light. Said light was used to light up the village or make the Moon look brighter).

I think that’s basically it.

Lingering in the world of mortals, Mordekaiser shifts his appearance from one warm body to the next, but his eyes always remain an homage to fresh blood. Cloaked in black with a mischievous shadow and a golden crow tailing his every move.

A scale of judgment weighs the mind, measuring the gap between what was and what could have been, based on mortal choices made. Draped in a veil of liquid gold from head to toe, Aurelius shields himself against the clinging thoughts. In his wake, he leaves behind vanishing trails of golden feathers, each one a spark that ignites new ideas and revelations.

Come on. I can't not favor my big brother. It's kin selection! It's baked into our evolutionary blood! And I've known him my whole life! I went on like... a weeklong depressive episode when he got fed up with me and walked away because we literally had not been separated for more than 24 hours in our entire lives!

He has supported me through the absolute most shit parts of my life. He's what's kept me going through all of it. Shielded me. Fought for me when I was too weak to keep going, tooth and nail, us against everything. And I don't think I can ever return that favor to him. He gave up his life as a normal Zorua for me. He almost gave up on our entire family, for over a decade, for me. But I'll try to honor it.

...I may be unhealthily dependent on him. But it's fine.

6/10; I hate to admit it but Dolly absolutely has my heart. All of it. Maybe it's the fact that I had to work more for our bond, but every time she smiles at me, or we manage to figure out the timing on a new move, or she gets along with another one of my partners... arc, my heart aches. I love her so much. And I feel bad, because I've definitely had longer bonds with Chiru and Ringogo and Momo and Maamaa, but... she reminds me of hope, I think.

I promise I am better at not showing it than this post implies. Probably. Hopefully. Please.
