Headcanon that Shadow has a hard time sleeping alone because on the ARK he always slept snuggled with Maria, and if he couldn't, that meant something was really bad with her and she was being treated or something.

Now that he's on Earth, he avoids sleep by claiming "the Ultimate Lifeform doesn't need sleep", but in reality he just can't sleep well in an empty bed. He eventually gets a body pillow and some stuffed animals to cuddle with at night, and also will occasionally sleep with Rouge (not in a weird/romantic way, just needing the feeling of someone next to him).

He's extremely embarrassed about this, especially because there's been a couple times when he and others were out on a mission and ended up falling asleep, and he woke up having accidentally started hugging someone in his sleep. He NEVER got over it.

The year is 2050, they're remaking Sonic the Hedgehog for the 102nd time, and they've gone WOKE.

Sonic the hedgehog is now Sonic the transmasc. He has blue hair and pronouns.

Tails is now a chemist, and instead of building planes, he cooks estrogen.

Knuckles is now black- well he was before but now they're stating it.

Amy is now a woman who was solely added for representation... I mean she was before but now she's the main character because feminism.

Rouge the bat is now Rouge the trans woman and instead of stealing gems, she steals the estrogen that Tails makes.

Shadow the hedgehog is now They/Them, and is in an omegaverse polycule with Sonic the transmasc

Dr. Eggman is now a conservative who steals puberty blockers from Sonic the transmasc.

Green Hill is now Yass Queen Hill.

You no longer collect rings because its considered monetary currency and everyone is a communist.

But you wanna know what's scary? This game doesn't come out in 2050, it comes out of the closet this October.
