Cooper and Lucy as WOF dragons

Took a moment to get back into drawing dragons. This is my version of the Greek god Ares.

His name is Warcry. Warcry is what is called a “Deuspsychi” or god soul in my personal au/canon. He takes upon the attributes of Nightwings, Skywings, and Rainwings, but his eyes glow with the fires of rage, fires of war. What separates him from a normal tribrid is that he holds the powers of his domain more than what is attributed to the tribes he’s taken the physical attributes of.

Big inspiration for drawing Warcry was the song “Anger” by Sleeping At Last!

Warcry is the first finished god. I have designs for Apollo, Zeus and Poseidon created. Designs under the cut.

These are the sketches and general idea of coloration. I may end up making the colors a little different. Depends on what happens. The eyes looking closer to a tribrid is for figuring out the size of the pupil. (I completely forgot to add the eyelid line I like to add. That will be rectified in the morning!)

I don’t want to call the Deuspsychi a fantribe since it technically isn’t. Though I am not opposed to someone getting ideas from it. I just have my own general ideas on what I’m going for. Easily could’ve gone Olympiopsychi, but it was a bit on the nose in my opinion.

A dragon oc that I made using HoneyBeast’s number generator doc to pick out the prompts for me! Thought it would be fun to try out, it also made me realize that this is the first time I made some wings of fire art that wasn’t fanart lol

Positive- strong, optimistic

Pattern- bovine/hoofed animal-like pattern

Accessories- Glasses

Ability- strange enchanted ability

I named her Nutmeg, and unfortunately I don’t really have a backstory for her either, but I’m glad I got to draw her, I’ve never designed a Tribrid before. I might redraw them later in the future

Ryujin, The Turbulent Song Of The Sea.

The Maiden Who Speaks To The Sea, Her Thoughts, The Turbulent Determination, Power, And Strength Of The Waves, Her Voice Like An Unexpectedly Gentle, Fragile, Song Carried Upon The Strong Currents. Her Name Speaks The Might Of The Ocean, In Mere Syllables.

New Oc be like... Meet Ryujin (She's based off of a god kinda, yes.) Line art by my close friend Newbie, edits, lotus, "chin tentacles", design, and fill by me. Her occupation? She makes jewelery,

Her mom thought a "dignified" name would keep her from getting bullied in school, but she still got bullied anyways for being a tribrid.

She grew up with a mother who was always over her shoulder, or watching Ryu like a hawk. So when she could finally move out and be herself, she jumped at the chance, eventually settling in some quiet little place where she can be alone. Despite looking like she's calm and happy most of the time, Ryu actually has a relatively short temper, and doesn't like being bossed around, lied to, or other dragons snooping about her business.

She prefers to work in quiet areas, making new jewelry to sell, and too much noise can irritate her easily.

She's only really kind and trusting, and loyal, to those she is close with, like friends, well, that would be if she had any. Her mother always made her so anxious, that she never really made any, and being a tribrid honestly just made it even worse.

Ryu also never had seen her father, and her mother never really mentioned him much, he sort of just wasn't there as she was growing up, she knew she had one, because, that's just how logic works, but she also knows he either left before she was hatched, or he died somewhere, and was long gone by now.

Ryu has never really thought about love much, it never really strikes her as something that would really happen to her, why would it? She's a weird little tribrid in everyone's eyes. Who would want to be with her? She did kind of had a crush when she was a dragonet in school, another dragon, but this crush would only ever get her more judged if she ever spoke it aloud. Because this dragon wasn't a he, but a she. Ryu has no special powers or anything like that, just tribal stuff, like breathing underwater, fire, that is about it, mostly.

Ryujin is rather talented at crafting jewelry with gems and stones, and metals, she also occasionally uses wood to craft pieces.

She's also an accomplished artist, and sells her art in the markets, and she even has a rather lovely, pleasant, singing voice. Ryu is a Skywing/Leafwing/Seawing.

Here's fog my first wof oc. She's 4 years old (cuz she was created 4 years ago). is a tribrid of sky/rain /seawing and has the mentioned tribe abilities. Her marks are white but for whatever reason i colored them yellow. Has two friends, midnight (ice/night/hive) and sina (sky/sand). she's some kind of a fighter, loves to use her ability's against a bigger opponents (she's so strong).

Ghostfish can read minds and is an animus who enchanted himself to have futuresight as well. He thinks everyone is suspicious and can't be trusted. (2 years younger than abysal.)

Ofc moon jelly my sona with futuresight. she tries to protect everyone and still act annoyed by her little brothers.

Abysal is the middle child and has mind reading that he uses to try and act like a therapist for everyone because the family has gone through some trauma. (4 years younger than moon jelly.)

Here is my OC, Depth A little bit about him: He is a Tribrid of Nightwing, Seawing, and Icewing (His mother was a Nightwing and his father was a Seawing/Icewing Hybrid) His abilities are mind reading, can tolerate colder climates, excellent swimmer, and some of his scales glow but he cannot speak aquatic I hope you all enjoy him as I might draw him and some other Wings of Fire OCs

Meet Dawn!

So, I now have names. Abyssdancer was suggested by one of the users in my comments. This will be the name for my sea/night hybrid.

Now, the curious case of my sand/rain hybrid. They also have a name. They’re going to be named Ghost. This is based on the ghost plant, which is a succulent.

I think I may just start writing out a story for my characters since I have a lot of lore I want to get into, but haven’t. Idk, but I do have a new character that I am working on named Orpheus. He is a tribrid (1/2 Leafwing, 1/4 Sandwing, and 1/4 Skywing). I probably won’t have him done for a while so that’ll be interesting. He is also based a bit on Orpheus from Hadestown as well

HELP! I Need Name Ideas

Ok, so- I am (almost) completely revamping old WoF OCs of mine that I had when I was younger. One is a Sea/Night hybrid and the other is a Sand/Rain hybrid. The Sea/Night hybrid is older than the other.

What brought me to revamping these two specifically was their day/night dynamic for a song I’ve been listening to from Arcane, specifically “Ma Meilleure Ennemie”. If you know you know. But the idea of a character that is so connected to one celestial body (moon and sun) and they inevitably fall in love. Though, I guess it would be nice to get to know them more. Info will be under the cut

As a note: I don’t have a picture for the Sand/Rain hybrid. Though I will give a description to the best of my ability.

Sea/Night Hybrid

Ok, so, this one was originally named Starboard. His story was that he was cursed by an animus as an egg to see as far as his own death(s). It was from the Seawing side I believe? I don’t remember why. I am still keeping him Male in some way.

What I’m changing is that he was still cursed, but not with the same curse. He hatched under no moons, hence his very seawing appearance. Though, out of a need for perfection, his mother, a nightwing animus, turned him into a three moon hatched dragonet. He was hidden away, homeschooled by his mother and father. What the issue was is that the enchantment went a little haywire. What his mother didn’t understand is that forcing certain things onto a newly hatched dragon can cause certain side effects to happen.

When an animus forces certain traits that are circumstantial, it can primarily cause permanent pains, an over abundance/minimal amount of said ability, or even death if the hatchling isn’t strong enough.

This character has dealt with an over abundance of both mind reading and future sight. Though, the future sight is not as good as Clearsight’s. The mind reading caused constant migraines that would last for days. He wasn’t the only egg of his clutch, but the only one strong enough to live. Long story short, he learned of everything and he ran away. Never talking to either parent again and lives with a bit of survivor’s guilt as he left other siblings behind.

When making his way in the world, he learned how to suppress his abilities to have a decently normal life. His passion was dancing and singing. His aquatic was nonexistent since his glow scales are constantly shining, basically constantly screaming kind of glow.

He made a name for himself in Possibility. He was a dancer for festivals that were calling forth the moon since he sees himself as sort of the embodiment of the moons. He is definitely a bit cocky, but not in an arrogant way. In a confident and “I know myself way too well to doubt myself way.” Which can lead to a major crash if he fails to uphold something he was confident he could do.

Though, he has still found a way to love himself, flaws and all.

I’ve been thinking about the names Stormbringer, Stormdancer, or Raindancer. Though, I’m not too sure.

Sand/Rain Hybrid

So this character was originally named Jasper and looked almost a lot different. I surprisingly don’t have a lot of info on him because he was my last WoFsona before Wolfsbane. So basically he doesn’t have anything to really go off of. Though here’s some ideas of what he’s about. He is probably going to end up as some flavor of masc nonbinary as I really wanted to use they for the pronouns.

Onto some loose thoughts. I was thinking that He wasn’t really cared for much as a dragonet. Kinda think about it as a mix of both unrestricted internet access had a baby with the unrestricted freedom of the 80’s and 90’s. So sort of neglected all around for the most part? Though, emotions were kind of very looked down upon since his rainwing parents hatched without the ability to change colors. So they toughened up to hide the pain they felt that they were different.

They were raised in a multigenerational household with numerous siblings added to the mix They’re also the oldest and is typically being ogled in jealousy at by his mother, the rainwing, as his blue coloration seems to change colors when intense emotions arise. They can kind of control it, but it’s not easy.

This character went to Possibility to get away from the oasis near the Jungle that their family lived near. He constantly wears a guard like piece of jewelry on his tail as it is filled with an acidic poison. He’s a bit trigger happy with it when pushed to anger. Otherwise he’s a softy.

Now, he tends to work odd jobs between commission work. He’s an artist and tends to work primarily with stone cutting and gem carving. He tends to enjoy seeing the Sea/Night hybrid’s dances as he enjoys the symbolism of the moon in writings.

I was contemplating names, but Jericho, referring to the rose of Jericho, was the only name I really liked. With the cute little nickname of Rose to once again referring back to the plant.

Conclusion

Title is mostly just to separate from everything else. Anyway, so, feel free to suggest as I honestly have no clue what to name either of them. Especially with naming conventions being taken into account. Feel free to reblog, comment or send a suggestion in the ask box. I’m just needing help with the name
