Moon would not be small!!! Her dad is Morrowseer and she's described as having big muscles!!! She's the only NightWing in the entirety of Arc 2 who's had a good diet for longer than a few weeks!!! She's the dragon equivalent of 6ft tall and she would look like she can bench you (and let's face it she probably can) but you talk to her and she's the sweetest most tired little bookworm ever and she's got dark circles and tense shoulders and 3 dragons in her winglet understandably head-over-talons in love with her and it's like. Y'know that one picture of the little rabbit obsessed with a girlfriend 3 times his size? Yea that's Moonbli and Moonjou SHE WOULD NOT BE FUCKING SHORTER THAN HIM I SWEAR TO GOD-

saw the worst opinion that "making fankids for minor pairs is gross because youre fantisizing them having sex" and i literally cannot be the only one who thinks that is really stupid

cause like. a lot of people making fankids. are kids, who just want to make a future for two characters they like, which are probably ALSO kid characetrs because, theyre kids themselves. i know i did that all the time with mlp, although it wa smostly wiht the mane six

AND the other people making fankids are doing it to explore what a design would be like, and even still when i make fankids now i am NOT fucking thinking about that, and i promise you nobody is

So, just my personal take, but I ship Moonwatcher x Qibli x Winter as a thruple who's dating each other. Now this would be when Winter works through some of his teachings as a royal Icewing dragonet. So sometime after the events of arc 3. I just find it to be cute. Winter worries about the now, Moon worries about the future, and Qibli keeps them both from worrying too much.

Idk, I kinda just like the dynamic. I kinda feel like Winter could've learned a lot being in a relationship. Though I do agree Winter needed to learn that Nightwings weren't the bad guys entirely.

That's just my hot take though

Watching as people start talking about not liking Peril and saying stuff like how "she shouldn't have trusted Scarlet lmao" or "she's literally insane why should we care about her" as if she isn't severely traumatized and called nothing more than an unfeeling and emotionless monster who was only brought into this world to kill and hurt and has thus internalized said thoughts and still struggles with them despite going on the path of recovery and making amends for her actions

All that shitting on ships aside i fuckn love Lynxfall it's genuinely a great ship

Snowfall CRYING at the prospect of Lynx going on some mission to another continent bc she's so afraid Lynx'll maybe die is so heartwarming to see specifically from her bc of her usual cold attitude

It's such a great way to show that Snowfall does truly treasure Lynx's companionship (platonic or romantic either work i just happen to love them as a couple)

I also absolutely love that Lynx blocks Tundra while Snowfall breaks the name wall idk why i just really like that scene

Oh wow! Have you seen the Darkstalker graphic novel cover? It's marvelous! I really like this "new" style, it's kind of stayed the same, but now the dragons have good anatomy! I wonder about that bloody full moons in the background? Why do you think they chose this particular solution for the cover? Could it mean something?

Gonna be honest one of the reasons I post much less here is because I got a job working with 8 year olds and the realization we have the same taste in books has demolished me

I think one of my favorite but probably unpopular HCs is making Qibli not know he's bi. I really like the idea that he spends so much time trying to understand the minds of others and going at a million miles an hour from task to task that he's never actually taken the time to slow down and ask himself some very basic questions about what he actually wants.

A lot of Qibli's thoughts about Winter go something along the lines of "god he's so fucking handsome...of course Moon likes him more than me" like just...completely pining for this man through Moonwatcher instead of being directly attracted, and I think it is him being insecure about himself but I think you can also interpret it as his brain kinda skirting around his bisexuality and being oblivious, which I find a very fun idea. And he's a character who often autopilots so hard he forgets that Words Mean Things (I mean that's literally the crux of their relationship breakdown in Book 10), so it feels appropriate to have the line about marriage genuinely be just a joke or flattery tactic to him, like every other time he's jokingly said Winter likes him.

IDK just...surely we as a society can come up with something more involved and nuanced than Hypersexual Serial Flirt x World's Straightest Tsundere for the fandom's most popular ship lmao.

Honestly, I've seen seeing this whole "Erin Hunter are bad people" and "they're being spiteful by making the series bad" idea going around. Not like, defending the Erins' bad writing decisions or anything, but I feel like this point of view is extremely mean spirited.

Sure, they wrote/write very dodgy things like the whole SqurrielBramble relationship, or Moonpaw's whole parentege, or TawnyCrow (which, to be honest, could be interesting story wise). However I don't know if I completely believe all this stuff, and the messages it creates, are completely on purpose. Don't attribute malice to incompetence.

Maybe it's just because I don't like assuming people's motives, but it really really seems unlikely the Erins' are doing all of this to secretly spite us fans or something. Imo.
